- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome in.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome in.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: It is Monday morning the eleventh and Eric.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: We have Broncos football real life.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos football to talk about today.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: I am Nick Kendall joined by Eric trickle.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: Eric, it's good to be back and watching new football.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: I know that it's always, it's like an appetizer, right?
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't always leave me the most.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_01]: fulfilled.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not feeling completely satiated.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Having watched the preseason football, but I got a taste.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm ready for the next course here.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we'll get a few more apps in here.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: Just off topic.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: What's your go to appetizer?
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Probably mozzarella sticks.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: I were good.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: I also love myself.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: My dad always orders onion rings for the table.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: So always a big fan of onion rings.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: And just for my Midwestern side to come out here.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just the mozzarella sticks.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: Cheese curds as well.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to the Midwest and Wisconsin for beer and cheese.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: God bless.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: What a place.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: What a place.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: But Eric, yeah, it's great to see you.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you had a good weekend.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: And how are we feeling with this Broncos?
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: scoreboard domination of the forty-nineers.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for me, preseason the score, I couldn't care the less about it.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's all about the evaluation of the players for me.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm seeing how they do trying to put pieces together to see how that the roster is going to look out for the regular season when the score actually matters.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: And it was a very interesting game.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, we're going to dig into what the starters did a little bit more.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, what the depth looks like.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen some people try to push for a quarterback controversy in Denver, which is hilarious to me.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, I'm excited that football's back.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: I just said it's kind of like that.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: First appetizing, we have a couple more coming.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then we get to the actual, you know, meal that we're looking forward to over the course of, you know, seventeen weeks.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm excited for it.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah,
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Glad it's back.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad that we finally got a raw true football even though I didn't get to watch the full game Saturday night.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have to watch a little bit afterwards.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then I watched it over again that night.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then Sunday morning, you know, I did my usual three or four times over the game to get my stuff post game stuff over it.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I'm excited for it.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Of course.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: Pre-share everyone coming in here, make sure you click the thumbs up on the way and like, subscribe, share if you haven't already.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Also, yesterday I did a hike, so I didn't watch the game until Sunday evening because I was at the eachero jersey retirement game where it was sitting like eight rows back.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: Had a few too many adult beverages shot to my friends for, you know, but then I woke up the next morning and did a hike and I ran into somebody on the trail that recognized.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so they watch every show, so shout out to Gabe.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Sadly, we're just crossing paths now that I'm about to leave Seattle here in the next like five weeks, but a beautiful, beautiful, high-guester to carry the kid up.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: He is thirty-one pounds and ninety-eighth percentile.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we have our future left tackle there.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: We can only hope he's also pretty tall in the
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: long torsoed like myself, but yeah, beautiful hike just climbed up to Mount Baker.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's reflecting in a beautiful turn.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: Looks fake.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like a David Ross painting.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's real.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, really good.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: Not shown in this picture is the kid being very upset that I just put him back in his carrier.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: So he likes to be out of it.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a little bit of an upset time when it's time to go back in, but beautiful time.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I did want to say hello, shout out to Gabe, who stopped me on the trails like,
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Kendall, I watch all your shows.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that happens to Carl all the time.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's only ever happened to me once before and it was that like a Broncos pregame for the Broncos Seahawks game last year, which that makes sense.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it makes sense in context to see me in the mountains in the Pacific Northwest too, but pretty sure everyone and yeah, I didn't want to give a shout out to
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: kind of a real tickle yesterday running into somebody and stopping me on the trail.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: So appreciate it.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: And you actually have to see what my kid looks like.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's always a weird thing.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: I've had it happen a couple times of somebody recognizing us for what we do.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: Funny thing is that my wife's boss is a big fan of the show.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: So that's always pretty interesting whenever I'm in the store and he sees me.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: He always says why and talks to me.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it's interesting.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: I've had a couple of people stop by.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: I know there was one year where I was headed down to Denver for the meet and greet.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sitting in the Seattle airport and somebody stopped up and says, you're your area trickle, right?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not good with people.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I was definitely very awkward, but it's always interesting and it's surreal, I guess, would be the best way to put it.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's a trip for sure.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: So again, I gave it was nice to see you.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you stayed in the fire lookout last night, but hopefully it was a good time and good weather for you.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: It was hot yesterday climbing up, but the kid loved it.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: So he's
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's a big boy.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: That is quite the pack that I'm carrying up.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no, it's a good time.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Also a good time.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Coach Chris during us is a member.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen it flash green before here in the, whoa, caught my eye.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: See that logo on there.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to Coach Chris.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: I've been one of our members in our hearts for a number of years here in the morning show community.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you so much.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say a little bit in the chat.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think about the Broncos?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: lackluster I guess first team start to talk about not feeling completely satisfied but the overall I mean I feel like we walked away as good as you could probably hope David Young can good to see a David's name changed I'm not sure what's going on here with the nine eight nine one here but he says morning to the question no should the Broncos country be worried about that certain offensive lion boasts should be mad at themselves for looking like a junior varsity team
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll get into that.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see Shilo as well.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's down in New Mexico.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, I'm on Instagram, getting out there and doing some hikes.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: So good to see that.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's, man, getting outside the best.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: So appreciate you, Shilo.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope you're having a good time out there.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: We got proud Zanyl Cummins.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's more than everyone from Gilbert, Arizona.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: Face of the sun.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, no thank you.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: I, I don't do so well on the heat.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm, I'm soft these days.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: Give me the cloud and wet all day.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: Spoon comes in and says preseason we too much better indicator than week one.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: But even still.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, it's it's more important than the practice, but.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, every single year, preseason can be very false.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was the hack at year.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos might have gone undefeated in preseason.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't recall.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: But say they don't matter.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: But stay in healthy.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's what matters.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Congress says the Broncos starters look inspired.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: We got Dave Glassman in the house.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: One of our members good to see a M. B. Lee test prep.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Also member here to party.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: Jake's in the house is good morning.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos country.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: Glad we identified some things to work on going to be a fun season and to this point.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know who I don't think's probably having the most fun right now.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: Those in the Broncos organization, because after the after the game was over, Sean Peyton seemed a little bit irked.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I have really appreciated his comments that he has fourteen things he's ticked off about and none of them even have to do with anything on the football field.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: So the mentality in the locker room, just how things are staged and crept.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: He is no doubt about a football dictator in the Broncos country wants things done his way or get out of the way, but it's hard to argue with the results.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I would not want to be in Sean Paton's wake right now on his bad list because he was definitely if he felt irritable in that post game interview.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm kind of curious what all's on the list because I give you some insight into that stuff behind the scenes if, you know, he was being even someone on this maybe, fourteen might have been a bit of a hyperbole.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Just remember.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Just remember, but maybe there was some stuff all the field.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe there was, you know, the attitude in the locker room or the attitude, even on the sideline during the game.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that wasn't, you know, that wasn't what he was looking for.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't want to see even with those.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: A preseason game.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm curious about that.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm curious about the issues that he had on the field because I could probably think of about seventy issues on the field with the way how this team looked overall.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's just one of the things.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Peyton is one of those coaches also who kind of, he's not afraid to tell you what it is, but he does do so in a somewhat tactfully way.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: So when he comes out here and he said that there was fourteen things that worked that earthen that weren't on the field kind of grabbed my attention a little bit and really I mean he as mentioned is really thought about the just attitude and the mentality on or in the locker room and even on the sideline.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: And he talked about it being their first road trip road test.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's the operations from the beginning.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like how things were laid out, just the smoothness, he needs everything to be to his demands and somebody, but multiple people didn't, didn't live up to it.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd be curious if anything comes out of that.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: We got Jake says good morning, Broncos Country Cloud.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: We got some things to work on, going to be a fun season.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: Ernie Mays, go Ernie only, great to see you.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: Brian Dunn in the house, good morning.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's names are different here.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: YouTube must have done something to change it.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: And Jake says anyone know what this XP thing is all about.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: Experience points.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's news to me.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: If that's going out of the members chat or somebody maybe Dylan knows.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: is a ray echo.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: If I butcher that, I'm sorry, says, don't panic over three drives, never bronchys for life.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely correct.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: Chase says, talk us off the ledge, curl heater, saying good morning.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: Dave also saying we're just shaking off the rust.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm expecting improvement next game.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: And if they don't necessarily improve next game, I think that they played poorly enough, especially the first team starters that they're going to be re-energized in practice and coaches are going to be on their butts with everything.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think that, as far as I know, Eric, I'm still trying to catch up on everything, but I don't remember calling any serious injury reports from the Broncos are guys getting popping up, cardered off, anything like that in my rewatch to the game.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the big thing for me, still I know they're shaking off the rust, but if you're going to have any point where your first team offense kind of has, after having a good week of joint practice, seemingly winning the matchup they are against the Fortniteers,
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's probably better than in the actual preseason game, honestly, to be better there.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: But this should shake things up there.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: You think you're good?
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: And if else tough, man, if you think you're good for a second, they're going to chew you up and spit you out.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I think Sean Payton
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's irritated, but he's got the ability to push the right buttons from a lackluster first team performance.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: I saw somebody also mentioned Eric the upside about the offense early on.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that sack of the safety for Bonax.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: I was just, what are you doing, buddy?
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: I can't have that, but really for me was the defense.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: The first team defense given up a touchdown when that's supposed to be the identity of the team.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: They just first drive.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Kyle Shayna hand does that, but you guys think you're great.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's the NFL, baby.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: You better bring it.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's, there's a lot to be, I guess, disappointed in with how this first team looked.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: But as I said, shaking off the rust still, you know, getting back into that football game routine and mentality as well.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: That can take a little bit of time.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: That goes to shaking off the rust.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: And it just seemed like a lot of guys out there were, well, rusty.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: There were still, you know, just getting back into the group of things.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: So while preseason two is a better indicator because you know you've already had that one game you already kind of back into the group you had that that opportunity to shake off that rust it still comes down to the regular season.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: And that first game even though the second game you still might see a little bit of shaking as when the offense as you're still kind of you know peace and things together.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you shouldn't see too much of it because this offense is largely returned from last year.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm surprised a little bit surprised that one of the guys who looked the best on that first game offense was Evan Ingraham, the one new, the big new piece on the starting offense.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't have that, that wasn't showing that rust, which you typically see most commonly from guys who are new to the team and the defense, Gregory and I didn't play, but tell no who Funga didn't look quite like himself out there.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: got caught out of position a few times further, most did as well, leading to that touch on that the head as well as Juquanic Melon getting beat.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of issues with the defense as well.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's supposed to be the strength of this team.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm more concerned over how they looked that I am with the offense.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: With that said, Bonix, you're two.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's got a little bit of Sean Payton's quote, some Ferris Bueller in him, which, to me, you know, kind of marched to your own drum from time to time.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: That was too much Ferris Bueller going on there.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: So that's something, if you're gonna make a mistake like that, let it be in preseason, but that was a, if that happened in a regular season game, I would be pretty ticked off because you just, you can't have it.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: Coach Chris coming in twenty dollars super chat.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much coach August is here footballs and swinging.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: We got super chats coming in here from our member Coach Chris gaining experience points.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan says the more you engage in the chat and with us that you get it XP so all right double bonus weekend coming up.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's football time.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: We got the cardinals too.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's a perfect double XP.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's preseason time to kick the dust off.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Miss you guys.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: Mister two coach appreciate you coming in.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: That Jake says it does get hot and dry and dead very yeah, I know I know I'm going to have to be putting lotion on my skin and lip balm and all that stuff.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a time Troy coming in also one of our just always continuously supportive super chat members appreciate Troy all it's always a highlight.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: Every year for me at the meeting agreed to see Troy as well as and his son when he brings him so good to see a Troy appreciate Jen.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: And he says, not to worry about the offense in general, but worried about the offensive line as you both predicted, even though they were very good last year, did injuries cover up problems last season.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's true for a lot of teams.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: The same is getting to the Super Bowl, right?
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not always who's the best team.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's who's the healthiest and hottest at the right time.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: And Denver, not having a lot of injuries across the offensive line.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: They lost four games for three or four games for Wattenberg, three or four games for McGlenchi and kept the float with that.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: Still a good offensive line.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: I've even talked a lot about the defense and the possibility of them.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: What's the word I'm looking for?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: Regressing a little bit this season, you know, they added talent just the sax total last season and stuff like that.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe there'd be some noise and they'd regress a bit, but feel like we haven't given as much credence to a possible offensive line regression as well as something I was thinking about the other day.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess it's anything can happen right there.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: One of the older offensive lines in football as well.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: That could be a problem and they also have not really
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: invested premium capital in the depth of that unit.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: They've paid premium for the starters.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: But after that, it's been the bargain bin shopping across the depth.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I will say a Nick Garjulo.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully I had it right.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: You always correct me.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'd appreciate you when you do that.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: He had a pretty good game.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: I thought overall.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he's somebody we were looking for a young depth interior player to step up.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: And he had a pretty good one.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: I love to see a little bit more center.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: Perhaps from him if that's in the cards.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: You're too for him.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Very possible.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no offensive line.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's the that's the heartbeat of the offense.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: And the team will go as far as they can unless you have a absolute, you know, first ballot Hall of Fame weapon or a superstar quarterback.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's you're pretty much always only ever going to be as good as your offensive line.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully they look better than they did against forty Niners.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one reason why I didn't really dive into it myself was because offensive line play is generally pretty stable, especially when you carry over the people.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look at some of the elite lines that we've had over the last few years, they've been elite every single year, the lions, the Eagles, among them as to examples.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: So didn't really get into it, but it's always entirely possible.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: And adding to it is that
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: Ben Powers has never hasn't been worth his contract yet.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I actually think that he's gotten worse every year since he's gotten Denver.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's always had that slight decline.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Luke Wattenberg was the first year starter.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: And while he did well.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: could that have been kind of like a little bit of a fluke teams not knowing exactly how to be him consistently, just because of a lot of tape now they have that tape.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course to injuries, then there's had really good luck staying healthy on the offensive line over the last few years.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so are they able to replicate that again?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Because as we've talked about a lot, the depth here hasn't shown up.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now Nick Garder, he did have a good game.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: He actually was one of the best Broncos out there in my grading system that I have.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: Good for him.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: Another one was Matt Pert.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: He actually had a really good game as well.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: But the rest of the depth wasn't great.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Clay Webb was probably was was actually one of the worst Broncos out there.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: Um, absolutely awful of showing from him.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: So no one else of the depth stepped up.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: So if an injury occurs, it's going to be concerning with this offensive line of how they're able to cover it.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely something we're watching going forward.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: But not worry.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: We're
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: We have an hour to talk, you know, football.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: And if we're talking about it, it seems like we're probably giving more credence to how much we are worried about it than what's reality is.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not worried at all.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: Really, if it had been obviously better if it came out and just dominated them, but is it going to be copy paste for the regular season?
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: Stay healthy.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Stay healthy.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: We've got Mr. Roush St.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hit the like.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody, we got a lot of viewers in here.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: Click the thumbs up.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: We've earned it.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think we got Clinton coming in.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: Hearing people were complaining about the first quarter, first preseason game.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not super worried.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Rocket, good to see.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: James said the start is a rusty, good showcase from the back up, especially on defense, wide receiver room, good, no reason to panic.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I see the experience points comments in here as well.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to get into some of the positives of the game, though, Eric.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really happy that we didn't have this student performance a year ago because it could have been muddying the waters a bit and that could have dragged out things.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously we're happy where we are right now at least I am with where the quarterback room is, but Jared stood him.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: What a game.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos a lot of times I've said it on here.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: both Falcons in the show.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's probably no bigger golf in talent between the starting quarterbacks and the backup quarterbacks other than of course, maybe offensive tackle.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's another one, but quarterback you really feel it.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: And still, I'm came in and looked pretty good now again, preseason.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to talk out of both sides of my mouth, but as far as a, you know, this is your three with Sean Payton.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: And he's obviously has good arm talent moves around a little better than you'd expect to.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think you love the team and rushing yards in this game, which is not something you want to say you're here, but is what it is.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: But he came in and looked really well.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: If there's a game where he's got to get you out of there, because Bonix, you know, has a shoulder injury or, you know, cast to keep you afoot for a couple of games.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty confident sitting can do that.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: Now your ceiling is going to be lowered a tad and we don't want that, but it's not one where, you know, I always like to quote Tom Moore, former offense coordinator for the cults.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: They're talking about why does Peyton Maine and get ninety nine percent of the reps.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's like because if eighteen goes down we're effed and we don't practice.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Broncos are fully screwed.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: If next went down for obviously we don't want that, but I feel very confident and happy with Stitham as the back of I think he's a useful player beyond the field for the Broncos and he looked really good and I'm happy for him.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then I mean he's he's probably one of those guys who somewhere like the.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Thirty of the forty second best quarterback in football and that's.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Tough for him, the Broncos taking quarterback.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: He might have even had a chance to start last season if the cards played out differently and who knows where we'd be with that point, but good backup.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: And he looked good in this game.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that's kind of the key is that you just want to see that back in quarterback, like somebody who can go out there and not necessarily lead the team to win, but help the team pull off a win.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: And hopefully the word in there makes sense to everybody.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: And you're not looking for a back in quarterback to lead the team to win.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just, it's important to have because injuries happen.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's very rare nowadays for a starting quarterback to start every single game, just because of injuries.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so you'd want that guy for it and sit him finally looked like he could be a
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: pretty decent or even good backup quarterback out there.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: And as you said, we've always known about his on talent.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's shown that, you know, even before he came to the definition, they had the on talent.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: It was just about more so being on time, being in rhythm, hitting the throws when they needed to be made.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: And he was showing that showing improvements in that area, which was needed as well as better recognition of what was happening in front of them to use those legs and get out when needed.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: Just looked a little bit more consistent like he's finally not necessarily finally putting everything together.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: But finally, just being more comfortable for the Broncos, which we're to say for a guy who has as much experience as he does, is, you know, entering year three with the Broncos.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: So it's interesting, but it's, it's a good thing to have, as you said, just in case Bonax does get hurt that you can have some confidence and sit him going out there and not seeing the offense is completely fall apart.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm very happy with him, happy for him as well.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to Jared Sitt and Michael Rankillo coming in here.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Good morning, Nick and Eric, I'm Broncos for breakfast, go Bo Broncos.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: And Michael also another guy that I've been sleeping on just because of the youth in the upside, but he's got a chance, man.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: There's an opportunity to lower in this offense, but Trent Sherfield had a pretty good game for the Broncos stats wise.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: He comes down with three receptions on three targets for seventy three yards and a touchdown on a long a thirty six.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: He looks like a physical player out there.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos, I mean, if he's your fifth sixth guy, I'm pretty comfortable with him.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be active player.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe they found something diamond in the rough.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: They're obviously the Vikings have Jefferson, who is one A or one B wide receiver, and then they took Jordan Addison to and they have Hawkinsons.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's not really like
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: much target share to go around there, but those are some good players to learn under and be in a room with.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I feel like I have, I need to be a little bit more open to the possibility that sure field becomes a
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: has a little bit more of a role in the offense than I expected, especially with, you know, a valetion with some injuries and being a different type of player than Troy Franklin, Marvin Minne's.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, Trent Scherfield, shout out.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's been having a good camp preseason, and he's definitely one of the guys I'm ready to put in Sharpie for this roster.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he should be in Sharpie already for special things for sure.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: Darren Rizzi made that made that very clear.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'll know if you saw the Darren Rizzi when you asked him not sure field.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, this is a guy I've been wanting on my one on my unit for years now.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime he's been available, I've gone out from and finally I got him.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: And that made a clear that sure feels making this roster, but it was nice to see him do more on offense than I think anyone was expecting.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: For guy with the amount of experience that he has in the NFL to come along and you know, show out like he did, which is something he hasn't really done before, even in pre-season with other teams.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't shown out like quite like that as a receiving weapon.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely think that they have some packages for him and not just as a blocker because
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: when going over his game to great him, his route running was really was a lot better than I was expecting.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: And he has, I don't want to say he's he's fast, but he's got surprising speed to him to get that extra, you know, hit that extra burst to separate and give him a little space to present himself as a target for it.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: And it was all great to see.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: And as you said,
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's probably some role form on offense with the way these receivers are looking with the skill sets that these receivers have.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: They can probably find some way to use them.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's definitely going to be active.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised at the Broncos have six receivers active, just because of what the situation is with the receiver position on offense and just rotating those guys a little bit.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: but he's going to be a key special teams player, a key gunner, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a little bit more on offense and any of us were expecting from one, you know, throughout the off season after he was signed.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no doubt.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody else who I thought did a decent job, you know, talking about some of these depth pieces here, but it's was a little bit of a discussion leading up to the game, but running back three,
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: Is it crazy to say that Tyler Badey might be the leader?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy to say.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: You think it's a little McLachlan.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: Is it McLachlan or McLachlan?
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: You always correct me, so I think it's a McLachlan.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: But okay, well, I've not been overly impressed with Juleal.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought Badey looked a little better out there.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was a little bit disappointed in RJ Harvey.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, kicking things out a little bit too much.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's the one who I'm really praying can provide a spark and it felt a little bit
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't feel like I wanted it to, but still, just one preseason game will see what more can come from it.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: But I was hoping for a little bit more from Harvey than we got.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: But I think today's got a chance, and maybe that's maybe being a hater on Jaleal, but I think Bade might be a better runner of the football than Jaleal.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: I, I would be very surprised if McLaughlin McLaughlin, however way it said is not running back three.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: This coaching staff absolutely loves him.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: They love what he brings to him.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't get to show it off, but it was just he was close on a couple times he had he did have one big run that got called back because of a holding play.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: He fits, he is that slasher back that Sean Baton mubs the have.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: He just fits that so well.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: And he's part of the reason why they're implementing more outside zone, along with RJ Harvey, of course, but he's part of the reason to it.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I'd be very surprised, just based off of also what's been going on in camp, I guess, there's been, and then the meeting room as well.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Preseason games are a factor into, you know, order on the dev training or thing, but it's not everything.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Tyler but a from what I understand hasn't been the best in practice or in the meeting room.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: But he came out and he showed in the game.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's kind of separated himself as that fourth running back.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe he does ends up having a role.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's been probably going to be active because he's done been doing well on special teams in practice and camp.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's been where he's been looking the best.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think he can be active.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: And as for RJ Harvey bouncing things outside.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think that is a not necessarily just from you, something that I've seen a lot.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen people just screaming about it on Twitter and things like that.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: Archie Harvey had seven runs for them are designed outside the numbers.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: He had a crack toss and two stretches and then an off tackle run.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: And the other three, if you go back and watch him, I have a film piece up on all of them, worth all the clips of them.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: All three of them got blown up in the middle and he was forced basically to cut outside.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise he was going to get tackled for a loss and one of those ones ended up being the biggest one in the night for eleven yards.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Which ironically, he actually cut it the wrong way.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: He cut it to the right side, which had one or two open defenders on it with not much space, whereas they cut it off to the left.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: He had did have one open unblocked defender with a lot of space to make him miss and possibly had it done that.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: Go to add a touchdown.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: Big touchdown run.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: So just one of those things with with it is at some point, you have to just take what the defense gives you and just lower your shoulders and plow forward.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not going to fall Harvey for bouncing those outside when on two of them.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: There was an unblocked defender right in his path.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Adam Trottman absolutely failed on two of those three runs.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: The other one, Quinn Miner's Luke Wuttenberg and Ben Powers all failed on the inside.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, not gonna blame them and also you have the fact that NFL coaches and college coaches when you have a fast back like RJ Harvey, they are taught that when things get muddy in the middle, bounce it outside, trust your speed to outrun defenders to the corner and make something happen and that's what Harvey was doing.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: make sense.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'll have to go back and watch those.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, shout out to Eric's piece there on the, there's always a story in each of those.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't get coaches film in preseason for that angle.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: So always good to watch that to get a better picture of the blocking.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing more beautiful than a well-designed run block.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's harder to do.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's one reason that past game tends to be more explosive because it does take every single person executing their block.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: And that's just, that's way too many.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: winning every single match of this hard to do, but when it does work, it is synchronized beauty.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: So we got Coach Chris coming in.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: That twenty dollar super chat man, Coach coming in today, helping us a bunch.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is the second twenty dollar super chat today.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: So really do appreciate you.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, also being a member of our YouTube page says, Dobbins Harvey Jelil.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, today Watson estimate might be the odd man out your thoughts.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you might even have to pick two there.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think Watson probably practiced squad as well.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: So right now, the question for me is do they keep three or four?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: What does the wide receiver numbers look like?
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll see I have to factor in a Burton as I want of these wide running backs.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, you think it's going to be a practice squad kind of like last?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to do what they do with a musher practice squad call up for the first for the first.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then when an injury happens or something happens, then they'll make that adjustment layer into the season.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: It makes sense.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: That makes sense.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: I still got my eyes on biday versus juleal, but that's other than that.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it feels like that still feels like this running back room is probably the the biggest question mark of this team going forward, just to like what they can look like, because it's nothing really, you know, is popped yet, but we got a season to find out and
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: Other than past protection, which Doug Williams was pretty good at last season, feels, you know, worse than similar to last season, which we don't really want, but with a little bit more upside with Harvey of course, we got a long way to go still.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, gosh, Eric, is it crazy to say that we're looking ahead and I already see some talk about offensive line round one next season.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: would a Sean Peyton with how much he loves running backs, maybe it's a running back round one next year, which I don't want.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: There's probably only one who's worth it, and that's a love out of Notre Dame who's pretty freaking incredible, but I'm not about to just keep adding to the offensive defensive lines.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see right now, the room is a big question for this team still just about how good they can be in conjunction with the scheme and the offensive line.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and when it comes to building the roster, I think for running backs, and I think the four, I don't want to say they're set right now, but I think it's a, there's a pretty clear pecking order.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: You have Dobbins and Harvey as your one A, one B. Delil as that number three back right now.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Again, maybe, baby's able to take it over.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt it either way.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see Jelil off this roster.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, you don't get podium time to a guy who's fighting to make the roster and Jelil got podium time during the, during training camp.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: that doesn't happen.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't happen with John Baton especially.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think the only one since his time in Denver who got podium time that didn't end up making the initial roster was Tim Patrick last year.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: And that was you know a veteran expensive cut to make room for young guys basically.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, Julio is making it, and then I think, Brady, he's, with the game that he had, even if he's had rough practices in, on offense, what he's done on special teams has been helping, and then the fact that he showed up in a game, also, in Blake Watson, I think that's who they would like to keep run on special teams, or on practice what I mean, and then estimate that's anyone's guess.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: In, of course, you can't and and rule out a Denver trading away one of these backs and getting something for it.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: As there are some teams out there who are having a lot of issues with their current running back room.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, maybe they showcase a guy enough.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's like Watson.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: You had actually a pretty good game.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's Tyler Bade who had a good year last year before he got hurt in that one game and a couple carries.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: And had a great preseason game, maybe they're trying to showcase them a little bit and get something for them.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's a lot that goes into it.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: And preseason is not just about trying to make your own, make the roster with a team you're on, but making roster elsewhere.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: And teams help try to help that by showcasing certain players.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: So lots up into it.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's it's an interesting one.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that the room is starting to take shape though.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Brandon comes in and says do you guys have worries about the offensive line or would you say they weren't playing a hundred percent because it's preseason not worries necessarily but you know just hoping that to get a little bit more coordination with the run game in tandem and bonus not putting the offensive line in a bad position you know trying to make a play running backwards
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: blah, blah, blah, blah, with the nickel blitz.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: So just things to work on.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm worried about the offensive lines.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: We're worried about the offensive line as a more big picture team building than it is this just this season.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: And Tramaine says, Chilnik, we just got a hardware of the second.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: Sean Peyton loves to use running backs.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: And Dobbins has gone up this year and after that, it's a bunch of, I mean, you know, as you talked about it, third, fourth string running backs.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we're keeping our eyes and ears out for that.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: But we got a long way to go right now.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, I bet on offensive line followed by interior defense of line, but that's just, you know, maybe in me.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to talk a bit about the defense as well.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: It talked, we can circle back around the offensive line here before we get on out of here, not too long.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, again, Nick Benito, I know he scored really bad for PFF, but four pressures and two, three series, that one that he had, that one drive, that was unbelievable.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's, you know, it's back up offensive line, whatever, but God bless.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's really just unbelievable watching a speed rusher impact every single play.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: You could have told them, it's like when you have, again, the fastball pitcher, fastballs coming down the pipe.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: Try to catch up and they couldn't.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: So Benito really love that and also kind of a quiet two-pressure game about I thought Joan Ellis looked solid out there kind of a little bit of a. Unsung option on this team, but third round pick last season year two really young player.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: Man, if you could take a step forward this season, that's just another.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: wave and option for this team.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought Jonah Ellis, he's when I'm, I feel like we're not talking about enough, just because there's so many fun pieces on defense, but plays edge pretty high pick for this team.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: He could be a huge contributor, not just this season, but going forward.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: So he's one that I'm really banking on.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't want to say hello to Amy in here.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: Good morning to you, Amy.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you happy Monday.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: But those are, I didn't want to give shout out to Benito, of course he was obvious, but Ellis as well.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but need to had a had a great game.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not this is going to give me fuck, but his sack wasn't overly impressive.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: You're you're getting you're trying to get caught by a pulling second strength or drink tight end.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, Benito just has that speed to easily outrun that and he did any made the play.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: However, his pressure, not the next play, but the play after that was a great one.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: He really challenged the tackle off the corner and he took it and he just sustained it and was able to generate that pressure and that was really impressive.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of what we've come to expect out of him.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: He also got blowing up against the run a couple of times in it, but hey,
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's a past pressure person for most and the run defense may never get to that point where it's more than just a couple of plays here and there a game that he makes and sometimes that's all you need for it.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: But it's definitely one that I'm still waiting for whenever either side budgets to get this contract extension done.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know that Nick Benito's camp is not waiting it out.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're wanting to see what a couple other extensions happen.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Micah Parsons tray Hendrickson, they want to help raise that.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Four of this out of what he can ask for.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm curious to see if Denver will budge as much because from what I've gathered is they have a very hard set on what they're willing to pay him on a maximum.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that can lead to some very interesting discussions coming in at the beginning of the season.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: But John Ellis, he was great.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: And it wasn't just as a password, he did really well as a run defender.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: Much better setting the edge.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: He kind of did go and talked about a lot because he was dealing with that shoulder surgery that he had.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's been working back from that.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't expecting him to play because of it.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: I thought they might have held him out, but he went out there.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: He did well.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hugh Robinson, he showed off that speed a few times.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's another one that has to improve as a run defender.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_00]: But he showed up well.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: Savion Jones, more interior, but he also did quite well as a pass washer.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: Run defender, don't line him up with Nick Benito and because the other team just couldn't just run it.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: But the one who was most disappointing was Donjoy Tellman.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: He was a really good run defender last year and he was just crashing inside too hard, not saying discipline to the outside lane.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: just was getting manhandled by third string offensive lineman just wasn't didn't match what he was doing last year during the regular season with what he we were getting out of him could it be rust short could it be effective just you know not necessarily regression but return to norm for him a little bit because you know he's a guy that went on drafted and wasn't the UFL and all that so maybe it was more of a return to know for him but it was very disappointing watching till man out there.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: bummer, but good to hear about Q from your perspective.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: This is when I wanted to shout out, but we got Coach Chris, then another twenty dollar super jets is how many turnovers of big plays do we get called back because of penalties?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's something I'm sure Sean Payton's going to read most guys out for.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: Also, he talked about Chris A. from his dream.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Look really well.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he did look well.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little bit, I'm not frustrated.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's a wrong word.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: But Riley Moss didn't have the best game with Chris Abram's dream looking a little better.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I know that there's going to be some Twitter verse folks, you know, screaming bench the white corner back from Iowa for Chris Abram's dream Abrams.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very happy to have them, you know, depth of Riley's bigger player and definitely think a more valuable player and he's
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: he was the talk of like one of the talk of joint practice and training camp so far is how good Riley Mosses looked but not in the preseason game and he had a very strange look good so happy for uh did want to give a very shatter to a good game to quantum millen kind of up and down right like I know that he had the force humble and he made it at play but also kind of the fault of the other one of the big touchdown leading plays as well so
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: valuable pairs and we have depth in the secondary and being five deep.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: They're barren quietly solid game.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: I wish he was bigger.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's really an aesthetic thing.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: But I just like watching like a first round safety corner back nickel.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: I wish he was a little bit sturdier looking for being as old as he is from a bigger program.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: But that's neither here nor there.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the white white fan file.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: I just know that fans, you know, I think pile on him because of the
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's an outlier there, but it's fun story, but I wish Moss had a better game, but yeah, shout out to Chris Avery and he had a good game.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's one of those guys who even in camp practices and joint practice, he's been looking really good.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Avery and Shane has, I'm not sure he's, you know, pushing for a starting job just yet, but maybe he's showing a little bit more faith where, you know, after this year, maybe he can push forward.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_00]: quantum mill and he kind of had a game that we've come used to, right?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: He gives up a big player to and also makes a big player to for the defense.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of balances it all out.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: Riley Moss wasn't great.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: On the touchdown run, he just got busted too far inside and said keep him contained on the outside.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: You were able to tell that.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: He was that fault as a couple of defenders went over to him and had some words it looked like.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: And so just some issues there.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: He had some other issues as well, but that was the one that really stood out.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: So overall, the corner room looked good, shot a bearing looked really good, working downhill.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_00]: He came down and blew up a catch almost as many as his made at or near the line of skirmish.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: So here's to see about that.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: About that continuing forward and seeing how he can do covering down field, because he didn't get a whole lot of opportunities of
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: being that downfield cover guy.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: Just that one big play coming downhill and again, that looks great.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: And the secondary overall of the depth.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's a very clear.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: Whenever you're trying to build the fifth or third of your men are awesome, you look for the clear cutting off points and you definitely have those top five corners and then you have everybody else and it's not even close.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's too bad about mathists, just because you know, athletic and has some special teams ability with that, but he definitely feels like the odd man out.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe, again, we're just talking about flipping late picks, but you know, send him in a, twenty, twenty, eight, seventh for a twenty, twenty, eight, sixth.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's, you know, that's marginal value, but that adds up over time.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: As we saw last year, the Broncos, they traded a six round pick and ended up, are they traded down and got an extra pick for moving those.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: Man, we got a long one from Lee Roy here.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: Good morning, Chris.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: We're no priest here.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: We're the druids.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see Riley Moss out again.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: Looks like he was scared to tackle.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: First touch on the forecast, Moss should have made that tackle and backed off.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I don't know if the fact he doesn't have the effect or any more can have scary players or defense.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he's scared, but I mean, he's looked really good and camp so far.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, that's one of the reasons that I'm more promost than Chris Abram's drain.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if Abram's drain has the sizing physicality for tackling.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's a reason that he's purely boundary and not playing the slide.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I don't know if he can scrape on the inside and has that physical profile.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: I digress them, did want to get to into a little bit more here, Eric, and just wrap it up.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: Bonix, pretty bad stat line.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to just call it as it is.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: Six for eleven, thirty one yards, two point eight yards per attempt average.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: That is poor as it can get.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's a, that's a cover your eyes numbers far as you're not only not completing the ball, but it's behind the screenage.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: Again,
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: Was it a good showing from Bonax and that first team offence in them with three drives that they had or whatever?
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: And if it was a year ago when we had this Bonax first year, it said a one Broncos country would be melting down on Twitter.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm really happy that we are at this point.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: And we know this is Bonax's team.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I don't know if you saw
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: ESPN did like a future power rankings and Seth Walder did a two early prediction saying that Bonix would not be the starter come twenty twenty seven and some stats that you know are concerning for Bonix long term.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm betting on Sean Payton's belief in him.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about him being a top you know three four quarter back.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see more this season but Payton would know more than me.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: and no offense to Seth Walder, but probably more than Seth as well.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not worried.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: Would I be happy if you went, you know, eleven for eleven and two touchdown drives?
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: Playing to work on state healthy.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: Stuff to get rid of dialed in on and those coaches are going to be on those guys.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to be on themselves too.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think Bo is probably as hard on himself as anybody.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: I am not worried, but I am, you know, getting a little closer to the TV screen, watching with a little bit more scrupulous, scrupulous eye.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_00]: My thing with the prediction is your free seasons away from that, right?
- 44:31[SPEAKER_00]: You have twenty, twenty, twenty, twenty, six.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then in twenty, twenty, seven, Seth, while they're producing loses starting, loses his starting job.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: And that's his final season with the Broncos.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_00]: So you're basically saying that Bonix is going to play out basically his rookie year or rookie contract with the Broncos and then the Broncos are going to move on.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about you Nick, but there is too much going on in life right now for me to care about what happens in twenty twenty seven at the moment.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll get there when we get there and we'll see what the prediction happens.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_00]: But hey, good on Seth Walder for making that prediction now.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_00]: If he's if he ends up being right good for him, but it's too early for me, but as for Bo next now is my biggest concern with how he looked was that even when the pocket was clean, he looked antsy.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't look super settled.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then his placement was consistently off.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: Fortunately, he got bailed a couple times to a Franklin bailed him out on a pretty good catch to move the six a little bit.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: And so he, but he missed some throws.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: He missed some open guys.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: Very late to dump it off to, I believe, J.K.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: Dobbins or Archie Harvey, I can't remember which back it was.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: And ended up very limiting what they were able to do after the catch, because by the time he dumped it off to him, the defender was right there.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: So it was just a really off showing from Bonix, but as you said, I trust in Sean Peyton, I trust in him, I trust that even in Davis Webb to sit down, put in the work and look at how things were and go in and correct them.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, honestly, maybe this is, and shout out to Clinton, joining in become a YouTube member here appreciates you doing that over on YouTube, joining our guy's string guy said, good point.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, to Zach talking about a patent not calling plays in the preseason and Sutton dropped a good ball.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's the reality of preseason football in a small sample size.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: One play can change things.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: So he didn't get hurt and there are definitely things on the limited sample size of tape to work on.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: Could he have looked better?
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: Does, is this going to matter?
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: At all, I don't think so.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not, I'm not worried.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: Did it again.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: We need to lean on the show.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: Do I feel fulfilled?
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: Having watched it and you know, oh my gosh, you know, this is maybe it could be a top five offenses here.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel that way right now, but probably shouldn't have felt that way regardless of the results.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see what it looks like once the real reps start happening here.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll say it every time.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: Stay healthy.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: They won't go away on scale.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: It does look like Benito maybe got dinged up.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't heard anything more.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: You have a little bit of a limp, but he seemed he seemed fine.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: He got hurt on.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: I believe the sack or the second play and then was out there on the next one.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: But he seemed fine.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_00]: He was walking with a little limp on the sideline, but nothing more than that.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: Charlie horse, that's all it is Jason Bonnie come in as well, but the new member awesome you guys are killing it today.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: And Mr. rockets is not going to lie, bone X deserves criticism for some of those throws tired of own exglasers acting as if he's perfect because he isn't.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's human and his YouTube quarterback and there's going to be ups and downs.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I think Eric and I are as far away from glazers of any player as it can be.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: We've been called haters many times.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm just a little bit more pump the brakes and let it play.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: I grew up in an area where you get to watch corn for fun, corn grow for fun and Eric grows up where it's winter, ten months a year.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, we
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: We're bitter.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: We're bitter men, but not better men, bitter men, but yeah, there's going to be plenty to criticize and we will criticize him.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe too much.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe too little.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know you guys be the judge of that, but we'll tell you what we see.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: Not a good game from Beau.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: Small sample.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: Preseason football.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't even matter.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not worried.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not worried.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: What I thought about him before is the same now.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: Other than
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: I am I'm slightly disappointed in that safety.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_01]: That was just like there's a bunch of like in the tour kind of mistakes and you got to be better with the one thing they keep talking about.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: But no one bonus is, you know, avoiding the negative plays.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: And that was just a bunch of bad all at once.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: So there's any time to get try to get away with it.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's preseason, but.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yikes man.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: Just don't just don't do that.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: You want to know who he who next looked like on that safety play.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Drew Lock.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: Russell Wilson, with that class, it's been off the left tackle to make the defense free defender miss and then make some time.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: It looked like he was trying to imitate Russell Wilson on it.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: That was the first thing that I thought when I came to it.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I get what he was trying to do.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: I do, I see a lot of people criticizing for Troy Franklin being open in the middle.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he had the time.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think you had been hit as he threw it and that was dangerous.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_00]: So he was trying to make something happen to buy himself more time.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I get what he was doing.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: I just think it was terribly executed.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: Learning an opportunity for sure.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we appreciate what we're going to get on out of here.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: Michael Ronkiewis, wrapping us up, say great show today, Nick and Erica Broncos for breakfast.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: You guys filled it today.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: Click the thumbs up on the way.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: And we got almost as many super chats as we got likes.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's, I mean, I'll take the super chats.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get me wrong, but that thumbs up the hearts.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate that also a bunch of new members today and our community, which is awesome.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: Coach Chris coming in some free time.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, I missed this one.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think, I don't think we got this one, Eric.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: Good morning, guys.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: What do you guys think about the rookies that they played well?
- 49:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Diego, I really apologize.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to blame this on Dylan.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan, what are you doing out there?
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: I know you're good at the people here, but that doesn't excuse missing.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's okay.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how I miss this one.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_01]: Diego, thank you so much and hope you're doing well.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to take the time, obviously, to get to you here for the nineteen ninety nine.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan, I'm just teasing to your beautiful man.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: I love you.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think about the rookies?
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about Harvey, Eric kind of put me in my place on that one, just because there's a story on everyone and I only watched the game once, but I didn't, again, second and third string, I was hoping to feel a little bit more electricity, you know, and I didn't, and that's very, you know, not analytical way to view it, but I just didn't like feel him on the field and for running back where I'm just begging for some explosiveness from the offense.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_01]: One, if you, like you mentioned that one, he could have kicked it to the left instead of the right.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we do feel it, but small sample didn't truly feel it.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_01]: So a little bit, meh about that one, Baron, fine.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I, I, aesthetically, I wish he was a little bigger, but he, you know, physical player coming downhill.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: Other than that, I can't really think of anybody standing up.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: Pat Bryant, okay, a very small sample size.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: I hope that his,
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: Hope we can get a little bit more plays down the field for him coming up here at some point.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: But really, I mean, my takeaway is that the rookies, they're fillers on this team right now, and hopefully Harvey's a good player for them.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: But really, it's more about these, you're two and you're three guys taking steps forward and developing, because we talked about Darjula to Troy Franklin.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we've mentioned his name yet.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: Some big plays in this game.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: Frank Kram, I thought, actually, you know, wasn't
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: as a concerning as he looked last season.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: I thought at least in some place.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, you might disagree.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, last season was rough with some of the past.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: And with twenty or twenty yards downfield in the end zone on the screen play.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, he's just, he wants me a part of the action.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's hard to, he's a, that's, he's a hard one to miss though.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's maybe a little better from that.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, overall, rookies, I was hoping to feel a little bit more from Harvey.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: I guess is the big one.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I get it.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's like,
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'll defend him for bouncing it outside, but there were still issues with it for a guy who had such good vision in college.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't quite see that.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_00]: There were times where he's a fast and bursty back and there were times where he didn't, you know.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: show it as well as he could have thought I would be the best way to put it.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_00]: But the other ones, I think that Pat Bryant obviously had a really, really bad and obvious holding call on a big jolial run that got that call back, but he plays faster than the four six.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_00]: I try telling everybody that during the draft show when they were upset about it.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_00]: He plays faster than that and he showed it.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: had some big catches, had a pretty decent run after the catch, didn't pick up a whole lot, but he caught the ball quite quickly and cleanly and then turned up field.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out Baron, didn't see a large sample size from him overall, did well what he did.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_00]: Key Robinson mentioned him quickly that he had that speed, so has a lot of work to do as a run defender, so it does, save you on Jones, Caleb Loner, barely saw him barely noticed him.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then the punner wasn't a great game for the punner.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully it was just, you know, the first game kind of jitter kind of stuff as we've talked about with a lot of other people.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_00]: And hopefully he finds some balance.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's about the second year guys and most of the second year guys looked rather good out there in this game.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_00]: And last year we were talking about it.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_00]: Second year for those guys was when they were looking at them making a bigger impact.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they, they're showing that this year might be that year they finally start having the impact that we kind of thought they would.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll have a chance maybe talk a little bit more about that on Wednesday as well, but obviously we want to cover the that class, but I mean, really outside of the other guest to me, I mean, every single one of those guys from that, twenty, twenty, four class look in pretty darn good.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: I've been in Bonax, whatever.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's we already sample size last season, but Jonah Ellis.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: depth player, but you know, but Tillman not looking as good.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: Really could emerge as that that third guy had maybe even push, you know, for reps, not starting spots, but reps from Cooper and Benito.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's also tri-franclin.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: Looks like he's taking a big step forward and it's filling a niche that this team desperately needs from explosiveness from the wide receiver position.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you about Bailey, but seventh round pick last season, the Chris Abrams Drain.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_01]: We were going to talk about the Nick Garjulo.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: Really good game.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 54:32[SPEAKER_01]: Good job by a team you're drafting, but once you get outside the top, seventy five anything you get from those guys
- 54:40[SPEAKER_01]: year one is gravy.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's really about year two and you're three and looking good right now.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: Also looking good.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: We need to get out of here.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: Dennis coming in to become an member.
