- 0:02Strong signals of silver manipulation.
- 0:05We're going to look at all the reasons and evidence.
- 0:07But before we do that, I want to say thank you for joining me
- 0:11down here in the basement. Basement dwellers.
- 0:13That's what we are. We believe in the future of
- 0:16silver and gold because we understand history and we
- 0:20understand math. But we've also got a lot more to
- 0:23cover besides the silver manipulation.
- 0:26Some very interesting developments in the silver ETF,
- 0:29something massive that we'll be looking at, something big and
- 0:32solar from Bloomberg that is very good for silver import,
- 0:37export data and what it all means.
- 0:40It's all going to make sense with what China is doing with
- 0:43silver. Another call for $200 silver.
- 0:47This is from a Kitco article. Financial crisis and gold,
- 0:51right? Gold went down after the Iran
- 0:53thing. We're going to look into that
- 0:55and see why we got nothing to worry about.
- 0:57But let's get started by taking a look at the the silver
- 1:01manipulation evidence. I thought this was a great,
- 1:05great piece of work talking about the silver market
- 1:08decoupling in 2026 paper versus physical price gap explained.
- 1:16It says, quote, this isn't a conspiracy theory, OK?
- 1:20We're not conspiracy theorists. We're just looking at the facts.
- 1:24It's a documented legal record. From 2016 to 2025, global banks
- 1:29paid over 1.2 billion in fines for manipulating precious metals
- 1:35prices. The silver market is currently
- 1:38one of the most debated and disconnected areas of global
- 1:44finance. There are two very real
- 1:48phenomena, the manipulation of the paper price and the
- 1:53divergent between paper and physical value.
- 1:57And look at this list they put together.
- 1:59We'll run through it quickly, but the controllers keeping the
- 2:02price at certain levels in the precious metals world usually
- 2:06refers to the big bullion banks and the Comex paper verse
- 2:12reality. For every one ounce of physical
- 2:15silver in a vault, there are often hundreds of Oz of paper
- 2:20save paper silver traded in the form of futures contracts.
- 2:25Because these paper contracts can be created out of thin air,
- 2:29big banks can sell massive amounts of short contracts to
- 2:33drive the price down or keep it within a range whenever it
- 2:37starts to break out. Two more points, the
- 2:41manipulation evidence. This isn't a conspiracy theory,
- 2:44it's documented in regulatory and criminal cases.
- 2:49Between 2016 and 2025, the global banks including JP
- 2:54Morgan, UBSHSBC, and others paid over 1.2 billion in spoofing
- 3:03related fines. The multiple traders were
- 3:06convicted for placing fake orders to manipulate prices and
- 3:10people actually went to jail over this.
- 3:13Again, spoofing is when they throw out a bunch of either fake
- 3:17buy orders or fake sell orders to scare people into either
- 3:22buying or selling they're silver or gold.
- 3:26It's called spoofing. OK, number D, letter D, recent
- 3:29activity. Even though silver hit record
- 3:31highs recently, we are seeing margin hikes by the exchanges
- 3:36like the Comex. That's what Comex likes to do is
- 3:40do margin hikes, right, Increase, increase, increase the
- 3:46amount of money required to hold the futures contracts so that
- 3:50people have to sell and drive the price down.
- 3:53The two tier market physical versus paper silver for
- 3:58industrial use carries a different real world value than
- 4:02the ticker symbol you see on the news.
- 4:05Think about that, guys, like that price that we see on our
- 4:07computer measured in U.S. dollars, which we're all
- 4:11brainwashed into thinking is the quote UN quote price, but not
- 4:15the real value. That's nothing but a digital
- 4:17digit, right? There's a big difference between
- 4:20that physical silver in that digital digit and throughout
- 4:242025 and as we move into the coming year and decade, right,
- 4:30the physical metal will more and more have more, more influence
- 4:36over the actual price. We're seeing that with China.
- 4:39We're seeing that within India. We're seeing it everywhere.
- 4:41The premium gap, the spot price you see on TV and the media is
- 4:46the paper price. If you try to buy a physical one
- 4:50ounce silver coin or 100 oz bar today, you will likely pay a
- 4:54premium that is significantly higher than the spot price.
- 4:57In times of shortage, these premiums can shoot up to 20 to
- 5:0250% of the total. OK, So is the silver price
- 5:07manipulated? Absolutely, right.
- 5:10Again, there was $1.2 billion in fines paid.
- 5:13It's been studied. And that's just what the
- 5:16government, right, which was like, that's like a drop in the
- 5:20bucket. You know, they're not going
- 5:22after everything that's out there.
- 5:24But we know there have been people that have spent decades
- 5:26proving that the silver price is manipulated.
- 5:31It's a little more, in my opinion, than speculation.
- 5:34And even with what we saw over the last few days, the price
- 5:37things are weird. Now to make things even a little
- 5:39weirder, this is super interesting ETF flows.
- 5:43There's a silver ETF that reacts twice to the to the to the price
- 5:49of silver. It's called AG.
- 5:52Hold on AGQ. Let's pull this up because
- 5:54something very interesting is happening with AGQ.
- 5:58Investors added a net $125 million to pro Shares Ultra
- 6:04Silver in the last session. So if silver goes up, this ETF
- 6:09goes up twice as much. It's the largest one day
- 6:13increase for the 2X leverage silver ETF since February 2nd
- 6:18and this was reported by Bloomberg.
- 6:21OK, Investors added in that 125 to that ETF in the latest
- 6:26session. This was the biggest one day
- 6:28increase. Now silver trade brings up some
- 6:31interesting questions, considering right that the
- 6:34silver spot spot prices were monkey hammered during this
- 6:39period. This is not retail, OK?
- 6:43This happened over the last few days when the price of silver,
- 6:46as we all unfortunately know, experienced some volatility and
- 6:50got hammered down, he says. Right, He speculates, could this
- 6:54be Jane Street or perhaps Indians who were just locked out
- 6:59of the physical silver market due to new silver export
- 7:02restrictions placed on the Indian government?
- 7:06Either way you slice it or dice it guys, it is really
- 7:10interesting that we had a massive amount, $125 million is
- 7:15a lot of money put into the ETF that goes double long the price
- 7:20of silver, right? If you think the price of silver
- 7:23is going to go up double long or more and you want to get your
- 7:25hands on some physical silver, check out channel sponsor first

- 8:12And while we're out here, let's check in on our other sponsor,
- 8:15First Mining Gold, who is still advancing two major gold
- 8:20projects in Canada, development stage projects, Spring Pole in
- 8:24Ontario and Du Parquet in Quebec.
- 8:27Both of these projects have millions of Oz of gold in the
- 8:32ground in Canada and that is a rarity.
- 8:36Always remember, I'm not a financial advisor.
- 8:39Always do your own research, but thank you to First Men and 1st
- 8:42Mining Gold for sponsoring Ron's basement.
- 8:44Are we in a silver recovery? Let's hear what the man Peter
- 8:49Spina has to say. Some interesting insight on what
- 8:53is going on with that. Peter Spina says this morning
- 8:57that the silver price, we'll go check on it here in a second,
- 9:00was doing a little better this morning.
- 9:02Will the silver price quickly recover?
- 9:05The price smash over the past trading days.
- 9:08So far, the price action shows a bounce is underway, but not yet
- 9:12a recovery. A move back above this week's
- 9:16price highs back into the 80s will be the first signs this
- 9:20shake out is over. Let's go out to Kitco and do a
- 9:24quick check. Hold on here guys, is this
- 9:28right? Hold on, let's refresh this.
- 9:31Please be right. It is right.
- 9:32Wow. We're up to dollars and silver.
- 9:35I just checked like 30 minutes ago and it was only a dollar.
- 9:38So silver 7582, our basement dweller line in the sand where
- 9:45we're going to get worried our blood pressure will go up even a
- 9:48little bit more is if that silver price gets to 7250.
- 9:52A lot of other analysts are saying $73 and look at gold.
- 9:56How often do we see that perfectly $4500?
- 10:01You know what, let's go, just because we need to be grateful
- 10:05for where we are. Let's go out to a longer term
- 10:09chart. Here we are at CNBC.
- 10:11We're looking at the future. This is the COMEX, our friends
- 10:15with the COMEX, the futures price of silver for the July
- 10:19contract. You can see that right in the
- 10:21upper left corner. But let's go or we're already
- 10:24here one year ago today. Where was the silver price
- 10:29exactly? See if I can get it there. 33
- 10:33dollars OK, today we're at $74 man, I'm I just, I can't resist.
- 10:38I apologize to you who are here every day, but this, this was
- 10:42awesome. OK, $120.00 silver, but I think
- 10:47this is even better. The fact that what for four
- 10:51months now we have consolidated in this kind of 70 to $8590.00
- 10:57per oz range. This is a new paradigm for
- 11:01silver as opposed to this, right?
- 11:05This was 33 to $45.00 consolidation, which led to
- 11:11this. What we're expecting is this
- 11:13consolidation can lead all the way up here.
- 11:17See that right there? All right, I got off track
- 11:23there. I apologize.
- 11:24Next, let's talk about solar. Man, we got this.
- 11:28So, so excited. The future for silver is so
- 11:30exciting. We have this from Bloomberg
- 11:34shares Hold on, here it is. Hold on.
- 11:40OK, let's go there first and then we'll go back.
- 11:43I got something even we got a lot to cover today, guys.
- 11:46Bloomberg has this out. Bloomberg yesterday I ran energy
- 11:49shock supports a a boom in renewables and electrification.
- 11:54This is where it gets interest interesting And this is where I
- 11:59will share the screen. Sorry about that guys.
- 12:03OK, again, this is from Bloomberg.
- 12:05I just read you the headline. This is where it gets
- 12:08interesting. Solar power will be the single
- 12:12largest source of electricity by 2032, Bloomberg NEF researchers
- 12:19said in their annual new Energy Outlook report.
- 12:23Hold on, take a breath. This bears repeating.
- 12:27Solar power will be the single largest source of electricity by
- 12:302032. We've talked about this for well
- 12:35over a year at this point. Basement dwellers, we don't call
- 12:39it solar energy. We call it silver energy because
- 12:42every solar panel is like a little bar of silver.
- 12:46Silver is critical for solar and it's going to get bigger and
- 12:51bigger and bigger, right? And not not to mention
- 12:55solid-state batteries, not to mention something we talked, we
- 12:58don't talk about enough of the purification.
- 13:01I know Rick Rules always talking about that Silver's being used
- 13:04more and more for for purification purposes, for
- 13:08water, for all sorts of things. But solar is a big deal, right?
- 13:12And that's Bloomberg, excuse me, telling us that by 2032 it will
- 13:18be the number one source of energy in the world.
- 13:21And doesn't it make sense? I'll give you the reasons why it
- 13:24makes sense, right? Because if you are a person
- 13:27right now who does not have electricity and there are
- 13:30billions of people in this world who are going to be moving into
- 13:34the consumer class where they can afford electricity.
- 13:38It's a heck of a lot easier to slap some solar panels on your
- 13:42roof or right next to your house in your yard and run the wire
- 13:46right into your house. The traditional way that we
- 13:49think about electricity in the West where you got a super
- 13:53expensive massive power plant or a nuclear plant, those things
- 13:57are, and I think nuclear is going to do well also, but
- 14:00they're very expensive to build. You got to build all that out
- 14:04and then you got to build all this infrastructure, all those
- 14:07wires, miles, millions of miles of copper wiring to get the
- 14:13electricity to the house. Think about solar again, you put
- 14:17the panel on your roof, roof, you run about 20 feet of wire in
- 14:21bingo bango, you have electricity.
- 14:26That is why solar is going to explode.
- 14:30And there's silver is critical to solar.
- 14:33OK, Now on top of that, but wait, there's more because when
- 14:39it comes to silver, we'll get just get a little off track here
- 14:42in our favorite subject, silver demand there.
- 14:45Everybody's talking about demand for jewelry going down.
- 14:48I say hogwash. I said it three months ago,
- 14:51demand and demand. The amount of silver used for
- 14:53jewelry is huge as well. We're going to see that continue
- 14:57to grow. In the other thing, the double
- 14:59triple cherry that nobody talks about with silver that I think
- 15:03you mark my words, when we're all 10 years older and we're
- 15:07down here in the basement because you subscribe to the
- 15:09channel. Thank you.
- 15:11It's free, please subscribe. We're going to 10 years from
- 15:14now, we're going to be saying we were right.
- 15:16That other thing that nobody talks about, tokenization of
- 15:20silver, when companies buy physical silver, they got to buy
- 15:25the physical silver first. That's very critical, OK?
- 15:29And then they tokenize it. It's not digital silver, OK?
- 15:33It's a tokenized silver. It's a token that's backed by
- 15:36real silver. And people in India, people all
- 15:40over the world are going to in China, everywhere are going to
- 15:43love this, OK, because big trustworthy, they're already
- 15:46doing it with gold. If you heard it, Tether, they're
- 15:49only the biggest gold buyer in the world outside of central
- 15:53banks. OK, it's working.
- 15:55It's not digital silver, it's not digital gold.
- 15:59It's real tokens backed by real physical.
- 16:02And then you can, the, the, the spreads on buying and selling it
- 16:06are minuscule. You can, you can, if you want to
- 16:09bring your silver with you on a trip, right?
- 16:12You don't have to try to carry 1000 ounces of silver.
- 16:14You can do it on your phone. Anyway, I digress.
- 16:17Solar is going to be huge. Thank you Bloomberg for pointing
- 16:21that out. 2032 OK, jewelry will be big, solid-state batteries
- 16:26will be big. Tokenization will be big,
- 16:29purification will be big. And there's about 10 other
- 16:32things. And there's no new silver coming
- 16:35onto the market because you're not selling.
- 16:37I'm not selling in the mines. Can't produce anymore.
- 16:40OK, I digress. Now here, what's going on with
- 16:43silver? This is interesting and this is
- 16:47getting a lot of attention and explains a lot about what's
- 16:50going on. Remember what we talked about
- 16:53earlier, how the physical side of silver is so much more
- 16:56important now? Well, get a load of this.
- 16:58Where do you think all the silver's going?
- 17:00This explains it in this another one from Peter Spina and Peter
- 17:06Spina is a gold seek silver seek.
- 17:09Check him out. Highly respected guy in the
- 17:12silver and gold sector for decades.
- 17:14It says the UK, the United Kingdom imports silver from the
- 17:20United States, physical silver and sells it to China.
- 17:25Wait till you see these charts. It's very easy to see and I wish
- 17:28I could make this bigger, darn it, this OK, this little bit up
- 17:32here. Let me get my markers out and
- 17:33I'll tell you what this says. This says United Kingdom silver
- 17:39imports. And this down here says the
- 17:42United States. OK, this, OK, so they import all
- 17:47that silver from the United States.
- 17:50This says UK silver exports. So once they import all this
- 17:57silver from the United States, they export all this silver.
- 18:02And where do you think it goes? How about China?
- 18:05How about Asia? That's what's happening right
- 18:09now. That explains when we look at
- 18:12the inventories at places, you know what?
- 18:15Hold on. Let me get that.
- 18:16Hold on one second. It might have been easier to
- 18:21read. Oh, you know, here.
- 18:22Hold on, guys. Hold on.
- 18:25Yeah, OK. Yep.
- 18:30There you go. There's those charts.
- 18:32You can read it a little better. US.
- 18:34I'm sorry, UK silver imports and UK silver exports.
- 18:40And that down there says I can't, I still can't read it.
- 18:44Hold on. Let's pull that up a little bit
- 18:47bigger for you. Wow.
- 18:49Now it's huge. Hong Kong that says Hong Kong.
- 18:56That's so that's right again, the silver, it's imported the
- 19:00Big Blue line on the right from the United States of America.
- 19:03They take all our silver into the United Kingdom and then that
- 19:07Big Blue line, they export it to Hong Kong.
- 19:11Let me get this back to normal size for our future.
- 19:16But that explains, right, It's physical, it's a physical metal,
- 19:19it's a physical market. And that's what's happening
- 19:21right now in our world. OK, what about, oh, let's talk
- 19:24about $200 silver? Somebody said 200.
- 19:27Somebody new somebody. Finally we got the, the, the 300
- 19:31club. There's like 8 analysts who say
- 19:33we're going to have $300 silver. But let's see from this article
- 19:37at Kitco. Who's talking about $200 silver
- 19:41and why? This is an article from Kitco
- 19:43from our friend Ernest Hoffman. Gold will hit a 5800 all time
- 19:49high by December. Oh man, doesn't that make us
- 19:52feel good? It's going to be a good
- 19:54Christmas, but silver has the highest upside.
- 19:58This comes from MKS Pamps Shields 2 burglary 2 paragraphs.
- 20:03Despite the Iran war headwinds, gold prices are still on track
- 20:06to reach a fresh all time high of 5800 per oz before year end
- 20:11Christmas party time here in the basement for US basement
- 20:14dwellers. While silver's supply deficit
- 20:18and dual demand make it better, medium make it a better medium
- 20:22term bet, according. To Nikki Shields, head of
- 20:25research and metal strategy at MKS Pam.
- 20:29Now we're going to go all the way down to the bottom.
- 20:31They've talked about all the stuff that we've really talked
- 20:34about a lot, but this is interesting.
- 20:36She says gold has stronger institutional underpinning,
- 20:40resilient, excuse me, central bank demand clear macro catalyst
- 20:45with a ramp up of stagflationary risk and less vulnerability to
- 20:50an industrial demand shock. But silver is nowhere near its
- 20:56inflation adjusted highs of around $200 per oz.
- 21:02It faces persistent structural supply deficits where supply is
- 21:08slow to respond. Right, because 75% of silver
- 21:13that gets created every year by the mining sector is an
- 21:17accident. It's a by product from copper
- 21:20mining, zinc mining, lead mining.
- 21:23OK, And once both retail and institutional investment flows
- 21:29re engage simultaneously. Oh, she said the S word.
- 21:34Excuse me, the squeeze squeeze, squeeze potential is
- 21:41significant. OK, silver squeeze.
- 21:45Did she say that? I didn't say it.
- 21:47She said it, OK, $200 silver. She said it because yes, the
- 21:521980 high of $50 per oz in today's dollars would be $200
- 22:00per oz. And if you factor that and that
- 22:03we only hit 120 and people said, oh, it was a it was a squeeze,
- 22:07it was a mania. No, that was nothing.
- 22:10OK. That was a that was the physical
- 22:13market exerting itself over the paper market.
- 22:17And the other really crazy thing great thing that she talks about
- 22:21is that when retail and institutional investment flows
- 22:26come back to silver guys, we we are think about where we are
- 22:31right now with silver $75 per oz, 80 dollars, $70 whatever 66.
- 22:36I don't even want to think about that.
- 22:38But anyway, we we are there and there is still very muted.
- 22:44Let's just say even right now, not the best sentiment or
- 22:48interest in silver from the retail investors or the.
- 22:53So what we've accomplished, which is incredible has been
- 22:56done in an environment where where silver's been kind of
- 23:00hated. Rick Rule said it and I agree
- 23:03100%. Silver doesn't need to be loved.
- 23:06It just needs to be a little bit less hated.
- 23:09And it can be the smallest amount of money coming into
- 23:12silver can create a massive, massive inflow of new money.
- 23:17OK, now let's let's go back. Hold on one second here.
- 23:23Hold on. Hold on one second.
- 23:25Oh, let's talk about the let's talk about financial crisis.
- 23:28Here we go. I didn't know this.
- 23:30Turkey, remember Turkey selling all their gold.
- 23:34Big deal. The Turkish lira is now fallen
- 23:37to an all time low against the US dollar.
- 23:41Now down. Hold on, there we go.
- 23:45You want to see that chart now? You can see it now down 98%
- 23:51since 2010. This is what happens when a
- 23:57country racks up too much debt. This is what happens when
- 24:02politicians mismanage the fiscal situation of a country.
- 24:07That's what happens right now. Now also consider, let's move on
- 24:11to this. This is very interesting, this
- 24:14is history, this is real. And this relates also to what we
- 24:18just talked about from Manico 64.
- 24:20He's got a great YouTube channel.
- 24:21I'm sure a lot of you know him and follow him.
- 24:23He said during the European, remember this, the European
- 24:27sovereign debt crisis from 2009 to 2012, Remember Greece and
- 24:32there was this big what I mean, they, I don't know what they
- 24:35did, but they kicked the can down the road, no doubt.
- 24:38But remember, during that period, the European sovereign
- 24:41debt crisis, gold almost doubled from 1000 to a $19120 per oz.
- 24:48Now think about this. What do you think gold will do
- 24:53when the nascent global sovereign, not just European,
- 24:58but a global southern sovereign debt crisis that will include
- 25:03not just your Eurozone but also the United States, Japan and the
- 25:09UK? You know, like the big headline
- 25:12story right now is a 30 year bond yields.
- 25:15I haven't looked today, but yesterday they got up to like
- 25:185.2% with we have a bond crisis where people are selling bonds.
- 25:23And then we got news this morning that Japan is planning
- 25:27on selling a boatload more of U.S. debt.
- 25:30It's a very, very interesting situation.
- 25:32We're going to talk about Peter Schiff, what he's saying about
- 25:35what's going on. We're going to talk about what
- 25:37happened with gold. The reason why we don't have to
- 25:39worry. Gold's the granddaddy of all
- 25:41precious metals. Don't have to worry about what
- 25:44happened over the last six, 7-8 weeks with the Iran thing.
- 25:47We had a great piece from Kitco and more about gold that relates
- 25:52to silver as well. Before we do that, you may have
- 25:55noticed we've got a new sponsor down here in the basement, Sugar
- 25:58Mountain Trading Company. I'm excited because it's
- 26:01actually the first big consumer brand that is sponsoring Ron's
- 26:06basement and they are a luxury creator of personal care
- 26:11products, things like soaps, things like shampoos, things
- 26:16like lotions and even like therapeutic lotions.
- 26:19This is high, high end products, right?
- 26:22Like handmade curated products. They make them in Mount Vernon,
- 26:27KY and they use all 100% natural products.
- 26:31It's a great company. Actually, the way it got
- 26:34started, it's very interesting. The guy that started at the CEO
- 26:37was just making soap for himself and then he started giving it to
- 26:41his friends and from there it grew and grew and grew into this
- 26:45massive successful situation that it is right now in that
- 26:50that only happens right if they have great, great products.
- 26:53So they got all different. I used this one this morning.
- 26:56It's the cherry almond, oat and honey soap.
- 26:59I took the wrapper off so I could show you these.
- 27:02This is not like the soap that you get at the grocery store,
- 27:05OK, which I had always used, but I've been using their products
- 27:09now for almost 30 days. I used some of their other soap.
- 27:12They've got these great soaps that last a lot longer than the
- 27:16bars of soap that you get at the grocery store.
- 27:19But they're just better. Like I feel, I feel really good.
- 27:22You may notice a a new glow in my skin.
- 27:24But they also have lotions, right?
- 27:27Like this one. This is one of my new favorites.
- 27:29This is called date night lotion, OK, from Sugar Mountain
- 27:32Trading Company. They got products for men and
- 27:37women, OK, They got a whole line of products just for men, right.
- 27:41And they got products for men and women and products just for
- 27:44women as well. You can check them out.
- 27:46It's Sugar Mountain trading.com. Oh and special, OK, a very
- 27:51special and in the guy that started the company, he and his
- 27:54wife Scott and Lisa, they're awesome people, super nice and
- 27:57they're actually basement dwellers.
- 27:59I almost forgot to say that that's how they contacted me,
- 28:02sent a bunch of the products a month ago and I'm like, I love
- 28:05this stuff. I'd love to talk about it and
- 28:07share it with the audience cuz I only work with sponsors that I
- 28:10believe in 100%. There's the sign right there,
- 28:13Sugar Mountain Trading Company. But right there, if you can read
- 28:17that they have a special discount code for his basement
- 28:19dwellers. Ron 25, yes, 25% off.
- 28:24And make sure when you go there, you tell him you're a basement
- 28:27dweller. OK, thank you.
- 28:28Sugar Mountain Trading. I'll be telling you guys more
- 28:30about the company in the coming couple weeks.
- 28:32Now let's go see what Peter Schiff is saying about what is
- 28:37happening right now in the world and what this means for us.
- 28:41Peter Schiff says we are beginning the biggest surge in
- 28:46both inflation and bond yields since the 1970s.
- 28:51Guys, in the 1970s, silver, for instance, went from like $1.50
- 28:57all the way to $50 and it was like, I don't know, 17X minimum.
- 29:02It was crazy. Even when the Iran war ends,
- 29:06inflation in yields will continue to rise.
- 29:11I was talking to a high level financial executive the other
- 29:15day and he said it. We were talking about the
- 29:17economy. He said it hasn't even hit us
- 29:20yet. OK.
- 29:21And this is a big trad FI guy with one of the big one of the
- 29:24biggest financial firms in the world.
- 29:27And he said it hasn't even hit us yet, Ron.
- 29:30It's, it's just now this inflation that we're going to
- 29:33hit in the next year is going to be crazy.
- 29:37He said those who thought inflation was transitory in 2021
- 29:41or subprime was contained in 2007 are just oblivious.
- 29:46Got gold? How do you answer that question
- 29:51to Peter? I'll let you answer that for
- 29:54yourself and let's talk about gold and what happened.
- 29:58A lot of people are being critical of precious metals
- 30:01since they've struggled from a price temporarily from a price
- 30:04perspective since the Iran war. This comes from Kitco.
- 30:09Insurance policy was being cashed in during the Iran war,
- 30:14gold liquidations but demand remains strong.
- 30:18That's from HSBC. Just a couple paragraphs here
- 30:22says while the Iran conflict rocked commodity sector with oil
- 30:26prices spiking as gold prices slid lower and silver demand for
- 30:31the yellow metal and the silver medal has remained strong as it
- 30:35has performed is exactly as it should under the circumstances,
- 30:40according to James Steele, chief precious metals analyst at HSBC.
- 30:47There we go then I wanted to share this with you because it
- 30:50it gets very interesting. There's been a lot of critics of
- 30:54the bullion market saying that that the decline since the
- 30:57strikes on Iran and escalating oil prices, claiming that gold
- 31:02is not a safe haven anymore. Yeah, we've heard that guys,
- 31:05haven't we? But that's failed, that it's
- 31:07failed in some sense, he said. I would argue exactly the
- 31:11opposite because as oil went up and we got restoked,
- 31:15inflationary feel, inflationary fears and bond yields rose and
- 31:20the dollar rose, equities declined.
- 31:22In that atmosphere, ready cash was needed.
- 31:26Turkey needed cash. Russia with their situation in
- 31:29Ukraine, needed cash in. That's what gold provides you,
- 31:34He says. We did see liquidation in the
- 31:36gold market, but mostly as a reaction to the financial
- 31:41market. And he added, in a sense, gold
- 31:45was an insurance policy and that insurance policy was is being
- 31:49cashed in. OK.
- 31:51So yeah, the gold price may have gone down.
- 31:54The silver price may have gone down and silver for maybe a few
- 31:58other different reasons as we've discussed ad nauseam.
- 32:01But they're doing their job. Don't forget the chart we looked
- 32:04at just a little bit ago and we are going to do a silver price
- 32:08check update here. See if we're still above 2-2
- 32:11dollars up in the spot market. But they're doing their job,
- 32:15guys. Oh, by the way, do you remember
- 32:18something very important about gold and silver?
- 32:23They've been doing that job not just for the last 6-8 weeks, not
- 32:28just for the last 6-8 years, decades.
- 32:31Like how about for like the last 600 years?
- 32:34How about the last 3000 years, right.
- 32:37Gold and silver are the original.
- 32:40They are the always reserve currency, however you want to
- 32:45say it. They are the money of the world.
- 32:48We know what's going on. Or actually, right.
- 32:52Yeah, we know what's going on with central banks buying gold.
- 32:55And here's some crazy information about that fact
- 32:59right here. You got to love this when it
- 33:02comes to gold, and when it comes to gold, it relates to silver
- 33:05and gold we trust says this. Then we got a great chart to
- 33:09look at. The freezing of Russian reserves
- 33:12in 2022 changed the central bank banking world forever.
- 33:18Before the invasion of Ukraine, central banks had already
- 33:22already returned as consistent gold buyers.
- 33:25From 2010 to 2022, quarterly purchases averaged about 120
- 33:31tons. But once sanctions weaponized
- 33:37foreign exchange reserves right after the the Russian invasion
- 33:41of Ukraine, average quarterly gold purchases purchases surged
- 33:46to 255 tons, which is more than double the pre invasion pace.
- 33:52Perhaps even more striking, every single quarter since the
- 33:58invasion has recorded net purchases above the pre 2022
- 34:04level. Not one exception.
- 34:07OK, it says a little bit more, but look at this chart at the
- 34:13top. It tells us two times quarterly
- 34:15run rate of net purchases versus pre Russian invasion.
- 34:20Let's get the markers out and see exactly what they're talking
- 34:24about. I'm feeling blue all right,
- 34:26feeling happy, but feeling blue. So right here, this was the
- 34:31average before the Russian invasion.
- 34:34You can see this green line. This goes all the way back, as
- 34:37you can see in the lower left corner to 2010, OK, This is the
- 34:42average amount from 2010 to 2022, that level right there.
- 34:49Let's erase that and erase that. That green dotted line.
- 34:53This is the average after the Russian invasion.
- 34:57Look, OK, And again, that's the red line is the average right
- 35:03there. That line.
- 35:06This line is the average after the invasion.
- 35:11This line is the average before the invasion.
- 35:15Guys, look, there's a lot of BS in the world.
- 35:18We just talked about the fact gold and silver are absolutely
- 35:22the world's reserve currencies. The world central banks are the
- 35:25most sophisticated in the know in power institutions when it
- 35:31comes to money, value, whatever you want to say it, where are
- 35:35they putting their money? We don't have to listen.
- 35:38There's so much noise out there about everything, you know,
- 35:42constantly, right? And a lot of that's media trying
- 35:45to stir people up, getting people to view things, whatever.
- 35:48At the end of the day, it's real simple.
- 35:50At the end of the day, if we look at those central banks and
- 35:54look at what they are doing, not what the media saying, not even
- 35:58what those central banks are saying, because central banks,
- 36:02I'm sure it was an accident, but they've had a record of saying
- 36:05things that weren't always true. But if we look at what they're
- 36:10doing, that tells the story. And what they are doing is
- 36:17buying twice as much gold on 1/4 by quarter basis now than they
- 36:23were in the 12 years that led up to 2022, right?
- 36:30Look and what happens for gold happens for silver.
- 36:34Real simple, OK? The other real simple thing that
- 36:38we need to realize when it comes to gold and silver isn't the
- 36:41only thing we need to keep an eye on.
- 36:43I haven't harped on it today, but I'll harp on it right now is
- 36:48inflation. Inflation is the new master
- 36:53because inflation is at the top of the pyramid and everything
- 36:58else underneath it, right, is all related, all feeds into
- 37:02inflation. Inflation is devaluation of the
- 37:07US dollar. People go to the people go to
- 37:09the grocery store or the gas station or pay their homeowners
- 37:12insurance bill and they're like, oh, prices are going up.
- 37:15Prices are going up every and we're like brainwashing, right?
- 37:22Thank you upstairs Susie. Hey everybody, please say hi to
- 37:25upstairs Susie. Oh, and by the way, that Silver
- 37:28Mountain Trading company, they have some therapeutic lotions.
- 37:32You can read about them in the Google reviews.
- 37:34People love them. Susie had a has a shoulder
- 37:36problem and she's only used it once.
- 37:38It was last night, but she used some of this therapeutic lotion
- 37:42and she was like about 10 minutes later I said, is it
- 37:45working? Is it working?
- 37:46And she was like thumbs up. But she's going to use it more
- 37:50and promises to report back to us.
- 37:52But everybody, please say hi to upstairs.
- 37:54Susie, for those of you who are new, that's her.
- 37:57That's my wife, beautiful wife. And she's our Co host and she
- 38:01communicates with us through this walkie-talkie because you
- 38:05know, we just don't like to talk about serious silver things here
- 38:09in the basement. Like to have some fun as well.
- 38:11And she informed us that we have 200 thumbs up.
- 38:13So we will do that. Back to inflation.
- 38:16Inflation is all that matters. Everything else.
- 38:18Oh, people talk about the prices going up, right?
- 38:21Oh, the price, but price went up.
- 38:22Price and they are right. But the price I, I, I want you,
- 38:26we got to, we got to take those people who we affectionately
- 38:30refer to as the the sheeple and say prices aren't going up, you
- 38:37knucklehead. Jughead.
- 38:40They used to call me Jughead in college.
- 38:42It's not prices going up. No, it's the value of this Huh,
- 38:49If you want the same value, that's a bad word, but it's the
- 38:52it's this paper going down. OK, and at the same time as the
- 38:59value of this goes down, the value of this right like this
- 39:03beautiful one ounce a year of the horse coin from channel
- 39:07sponsor first meant goes up. OK, this buys the exact same
- 39:12amount of milk, wheat, I don't know, food, whatever right now
- 39:19that it bought 200 years ago. Actually, a little more.
- 39:23It's done better. We looked at that not too long
- 39:25ago. 400 years ago, still bought the same thing and is an extra
- 39:31added bonus. Isn't it beautiful?
- 39:33Check that out. All silver.
- 39:36That's why I think jewelry demand is going to be that's the
- 39:39sleeper anyway. I oh, I got to ring the bell.
- 39:42We got 200 thumbs up. You guys are awesome.
- 39:44Thank you. I bet Susie was working on that
- 39:47one. For those of you that don't like
- 39:49loud bells or may have earbuds in, this is your mute warning,
- 39:53but there's the 200 thumbs up bell.
- 39:59All right, guys, Hey, thanks for being here in the basement.
- 40:02Don't forget, subscribe to the channel, go check out Sugar
- 40:04Mountain Trading Company, check out first Mint, check out first
- 40:07mining gold. I'm here because of the support
- 40:10of the sponsors, but I'm really here ultimately.
- 40:14Because of you. And we mean that, right?
- 40:17If it's there were no viewers, if there was no basement to
- 40:20other community, there'd be no Ron's basement.
- 40:23So thank you. You're important.
- 40:24You matter. You're always welcome here.
- 40:27Don't forget it's free to subscribe.
- 40:30Take care of yourself and we will see you.
- 40:32And it's true. We see you.
- 40:35All right, We'll see you next time.
- 40:37Let's go gold. Let's go silver.
