🚨 Brace YOURSELF Precious Metals Stacker! 🚨 - THIS Is BIG! (Silver and Gold Price News UPDATE) · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:02
Strong signals of silver manipulation.
0:05
We're going to look at all the reasons and evidence.
0:07
But before we do that, I want to say thank you for joining me
0:11
down here in the basement. Basement dwellers.
0:13
That's what we are. We believe in the future of
0:16
silver and gold because we understand history and we
0:20
understand math. But we've also got a lot more to
0:23
cover besides the silver manipulation.
0:26
Some very interesting developments in the silver ETF,
0:29
something massive that we'll be looking at, something big and
0:32
solar from Bloomberg that is very good for silver import,
0:37
export data and what it all means.
0:40
It's all going to make sense with what China is doing with
0:43
silver. Another call for $200 silver.
0:47
This is from a Kitco article. Financial crisis and gold,
0:51
right? Gold went down after the Iran
0:53
thing. We're going to look into that
0:55
and see why we got nothing to worry about.
0:57
But let's get started by taking a look at the the silver
1:01
manipulation evidence. I thought this was a great,
1:05
great piece of work talking about the silver market
1:08
decoupling in 2026 paper versus physical price gap explained.
1:16
It says, quote, this isn't a conspiracy theory, OK?
1:20
We're not conspiracy theorists. We're just looking at the facts.
1:24
It's a documented legal record. From 2016 to 2025, global banks
1:29
paid over 1.2 billion in fines for manipulating precious metals
1:35
prices. The silver market is currently
1:38
one of the most debated and disconnected areas of global
1:44
finance. There are two very real
1:48
phenomena, the manipulation of the paper price and the
1:53
divergent between paper and physical value.
1:57
And look at this list they put together.
1:59
We'll run through it quickly, but the controllers keeping the
2:02
price at certain levels in the precious metals world usually
2:06
refers to the big bullion banks and the Comex paper verse
2:12
reality. For every one ounce of physical
2:15
silver in a vault, there are often hundreds of Oz of paper
2:20
save paper silver traded in the form of futures contracts.
2:25
Because these paper contracts can be created out of thin air,
2:29
big banks can sell massive amounts of short contracts to
2:33
drive the price down or keep it within a range whenever it
2:37
starts to break out. Two more points, the
2:41
manipulation evidence. This isn't a conspiracy theory,
2:44
it's documented in regulatory and criminal cases.
2:49
Between 2016 and 2025, the global banks including JP
2:54
Morgan, UBSHSBC, and others paid over 1.2 billion in spoofing
3:03
related fines. The multiple traders were
3:06
convicted for placing fake orders to manipulate prices and
3:10
people actually went to jail over this.
3:13
Again, spoofing is when they throw out a bunch of either fake
3:17
buy orders or fake sell orders to scare people into either
3:22
buying or selling they're silver or gold.
3:26
It's called spoofing. OK, number D, letter D, recent
3:29
activity. Even though silver hit record
3:31
highs recently, we are seeing margin hikes by the exchanges
3:36
like the Comex. That's what Comex likes to do is
3:40
do margin hikes, right, Increase, increase, increase the
3:46
amount of money required to hold the futures contracts so that
3:50
people have to sell and drive the price down.
3:53
The two tier market physical versus paper silver for
3:58
industrial use carries a different real world value than
4:02
the ticker symbol you see on the news.
4:05
Think about that, guys, like that price that we see on our
4:07
computer measured in U.S. dollars, which we're all
4:11
brainwashed into thinking is the quote UN quote price, but not
4:15
the real value. That's nothing but a digital
4:17
digit, right? There's a big difference between
4:20
that physical silver in that digital digit and throughout
4:24
2025 and as we move into the coming year and decade, right,
4:30
the physical metal will more and more have more, more influence
4:36
over the actual price. We're seeing that with China.
4:39
We're seeing that within India. We're seeing it everywhere.
4:41
The premium gap, the spot price you see on TV and the media is
4:46
the paper price. If you try to buy a physical one
4:50
ounce silver coin or 100 oz bar today, you will likely pay a
4:54
premium that is significantly higher than the spot price.
4:57
In times of shortage, these premiums can shoot up to 20 to
5:02
50% of the total. OK, So is the silver price
5:07
manipulated? Absolutely, right.
5:10
Again, there was $1.2 billion in fines paid.
5:13
It's been studied. And that's just what the
5:16
government, right, which was like, that's like a drop in the
5:20
bucket. You know, they're not going
5:22
after everything that's out there.
5:24
But we know there have been people that have spent decades
5:26
proving that the silver price is manipulated.
5:31
It's a little more, in my opinion, than speculation.
5:34
And even with what we saw over the last few days, the price
5:37
things are weird. Now to make things even a little
5:39
weirder, this is super interesting ETF flows.
5:43
There's a silver ETF that reacts twice to the to the to the price
5:49
of silver. It's called AG.
5:52
Hold on AGQ. Let's pull this up because
5:54
something very interesting is happening with AGQ.
5:58
Investors added a net $125 million to pro Shares Ultra
6:04
Silver in the last session. So if silver goes up, this ETF
6:09
goes up twice as much. It's the largest one day
6:13
increase for the 2X leverage silver ETF since February 2nd
6:18
and this was reported by Bloomberg.
6:21
OK, Investors added in that 125 to that ETF in the latest
6:26
session. This was the biggest one day
6:28
increase. Now silver trade brings up some
6:31
interesting questions, considering right that the
6:34
silver spot spot prices were monkey hammered during this
6:39
period. This is not retail, OK?
6:43
This happened over the last few days when the price of silver,
6:46
as we all unfortunately know, experienced some volatility and
6:50
got hammered down, he says. Right, He speculates, could this
6:54
be Jane Street or perhaps Indians who were just locked out
6:59
of the physical silver market due to new silver export
7:02
restrictions placed on the Indian government?
7:06
Either way you slice it or dice it guys, it is really
7:10
interesting that we had a massive amount, $125 million is
7:15
a lot of money put into the ETF that goes double long the price
7:20
of silver, right? If you think the price of silver
7:23
is going to go up double long or more and you want to get your
7:25
hands on some physical silver, check out channel sponsor first
7:29
meant they are just awesome. A true premium retail experience
7:34
for silver buyers. They are the silver specialist
7:37
meant they get the silver from First Majestic.
7:41
It goes to the first mint facilities in Las Vegas, NV,
7:44
transformed into world class silver bullion products and then
7:48
straight to you. Great customer service, great
7:51
company and there's a discount code you can use VIPRB.
7:57
I'll run you out to their website here real quickly so you
8:00
know where to go here it is first meant OK, first mint.com,
8:05
you can go to store, look at all the different products they have
8:08
available and they have free shipping on orders over $299.
8:12
And while we're out here, let's check in on our other sponsor,
8:15
First Mining Gold, who is still advancing two major gold
8:20
projects in Canada, development stage projects, Spring Pole in
8:24
Ontario and Du Parquet in Quebec.
8:27
Both of these projects have millions of Oz of gold in the
8:32
ground in Canada and that is a rarity.
8:36
Always remember, I'm not a financial advisor.
8:39
Always do your own research, but thank you to First Men and 1st
8:42
Mining Gold for sponsoring Ron's basement.
8:44
Are we in a silver recovery? Let's hear what the man Peter
8:49
Spina has to say. Some interesting insight on what
8:53
is going on with that. Peter Spina says this morning
8:57
that the silver price, we'll go check on it here in a second,
9:00
was doing a little better this morning.
9:02
Will the silver price quickly recover?
9:05
The price smash over the past trading days.
9:08
So far, the price action shows a bounce is underway, but not yet
9:12
a recovery. A move back above this week's
9:16
price highs back into the 80s will be the first signs this
9:20
shake out is over. Let's go out to Kitco and do a
9:24
quick check. Hold on here guys, is this
9:28
right? Hold on, let's refresh this.
9:31
Please be right. It is right.
9:32
Wow. We're up to dollars and silver.
9:35
I just checked like 30 minutes ago and it was only a dollar.
9:38
So silver 7582, our basement dweller line in the sand where
9:45
we're going to get worried our blood pressure will go up even a
9:48
little bit more is if that silver price gets to 7250.
9:52
A lot of other analysts are saying $73 and look at gold.
9:56
How often do we see that perfectly $4500?
10:01
You know what, let's go, just because we need to be grateful
10:05
for where we are. Let's go out to a longer term
10:09
chart. Here we are at CNBC.
10:11
We're looking at the future. This is the COMEX, our friends
10:15
with the COMEX, the futures price of silver for the July
10:19
contract. You can see that right in the
10:21
upper left corner. But let's go or we're already
10:24
here one year ago today. Where was the silver price
10:29
exactly? See if I can get it there. 33
10:33
dollars OK, today we're at $74 man, I'm I just, I can't resist.
10:38
I apologize to you who are here every day, but this, this was
10:42
awesome. OK, $120.00 silver, but I think
10:47
this is even better. The fact that what for four
10:51
months now we have consolidated in this kind of 70 to $8590.00
10:57
per oz range. This is a new paradigm for
11:01
silver as opposed to this, right?
11:05
This was 33 to $45.00 consolidation, which led to
11:11
this. What we're expecting is this
11:13
consolidation can lead all the way up here.
11:17
See that right there? All right, I got off track
11:23
there. I apologize.
11:24
Next, let's talk about solar. Man, we got this.
11:28
So, so excited. The future for silver is so
11:30
exciting. We have this from Bloomberg
11:34
shares Hold on, here it is. Hold on.
11:40
OK, let's go there first and then we'll go back.
11:43
I got something even we got a lot to cover today, guys.
11:46
Bloomberg has this out. Bloomberg yesterday I ran energy
11:49
shock supports a a boom in renewables and electrification.
11:54
This is where it gets interest interesting And this is where I
11:59
will share the screen. Sorry about that guys.
12:03
OK, again, this is from Bloomberg.
12:05
I just read you the headline. This is where it gets
12:08
interesting. Solar power will be the single
12:12
largest source of electricity by 2032, Bloomberg NEF researchers
12:19
said in their annual new Energy Outlook report.
12:23
Hold on, take a breath. This bears repeating.
12:27
Solar power will be the single largest source of electricity by
12:30
2032. We've talked about this for well
12:35
over a year at this point. Basement dwellers, we don't call
12:39
it solar energy. We call it silver energy because
12:42
every solar panel is like a little bar of silver.
12:46
Silver is critical for solar and it's going to get bigger and
12:51
bigger and bigger, right? And not not to mention
12:55
solid-state batteries, not to mention something we talked, we
12:58
don't talk about enough of the purification.
13:01
I know Rick Rules always talking about that Silver's being used
13:04
more and more for for purification purposes, for
13:08
water, for all sorts of things. But solar is a big deal, right?
13:12
And that's Bloomberg, excuse me, telling us that by 2032 it will
13:18
be the number one source of energy in the world.
13:21
And doesn't it make sense? I'll give you the reasons why it
13:24
makes sense, right? Because if you are a person
13:27
right now who does not have electricity and there are
13:30
billions of people in this world who are going to be moving into
13:34
the consumer class where they can afford electricity.
13:38
It's a heck of a lot easier to slap some solar panels on your
13:42
roof or right next to your house in your yard and run the wire
13:46
right into your house. The traditional way that we
13:49
think about electricity in the West where you got a super
13:53
expensive massive power plant or a nuclear plant, those things
13:57
are, and I think nuclear is going to do well also, but
14:00
they're very expensive to build. You got to build all that out
14:04
and then you got to build all this infrastructure, all those
14:07
wires, miles, millions of miles of copper wiring to get the
14:13
electricity to the house. Think about solar again, you put
14:17
the panel on your roof, roof, you run about 20 feet of wire in
14:21
bingo bango, you have electricity.
14:26
That is why solar is going to explode.
14:30
And there's silver is critical to solar.
14:33
OK, Now on top of that, but wait, there's more because when
14:39
it comes to silver, we'll get just get a little off track here
14:42
in our favorite subject, silver demand there.
14:45
Everybody's talking about demand for jewelry going down.
14:48
I say hogwash. I said it three months ago,
14:51
demand and demand. The amount of silver used for
14:53
jewelry is huge as well. We're going to see that continue
14:57
to grow. In the other thing, the double
14:59
triple cherry that nobody talks about with silver that I think
15:03
you mark my words, when we're all 10 years older and we're
15:07
down here in the basement because you subscribe to the
15:09
channel. Thank you.
15:11
It's free, please subscribe. We're going to 10 years from
15:14
now, we're going to be saying we were right.
15:16
That other thing that nobody talks about, tokenization of
15:20
silver, when companies buy physical silver, they got to buy
15:25
the physical silver first. That's very critical, OK?
15:29
And then they tokenize it. It's not digital silver, OK?
15:33
It's a tokenized silver. It's a token that's backed by
15:36
real silver. And people in India, people all
15:40
over the world are going to in China, everywhere are going to
15:43
love this, OK, because big trustworthy, they're already
15:46
doing it with gold. If you heard it, Tether, they're
15:49
only the biggest gold buyer in the world outside of central
15:53
banks. OK, it's working.
15:55
It's not digital silver, it's not digital gold.
15:59
It's real tokens backed by real physical.
16:02
And then you can, the, the, the spreads on buying and selling it
16:06
are minuscule. You can, you can, if you want to
16:09
bring your silver with you on a trip, right?
16:12
You don't have to try to carry 1000 ounces of silver.
16:14
You can do it on your phone. Anyway, I digress.
16:17
Solar is going to be huge. Thank you Bloomberg for pointing
16:21
that out. 2032 OK, jewelry will be big, solid-state batteries
16:26
will be big. Tokenization will be big,
16:29
purification will be big. And there's about 10 other
16:32
things. And there's no new silver coming
16:35
onto the market because you're not selling.
16:37
I'm not selling in the mines. Can't produce anymore.
16:40
OK, I digress. Now here, what's going on with
16:43
silver? This is interesting and this is
16:47
getting a lot of attention and explains a lot about what's
16:50
going on. Remember what we talked about
16:53
earlier, how the physical side of silver is so much more
16:56
important now? Well, get a load of this.
16:58
Where do you think all the silver's going?
17:00
This explains it in this another one from Peter Spina and Peter
17:06
Spina is a gold seek silver seek.
17:09
Check him out. Highly respected guy in the
17:12
silver and gold sector for decades.
17:14
It says the UK, the United Kingdom imports silver from the
17:20
United States, physical silver and sells it to China.
17:25
Wait till you see these charts. It's very easy to see and I wish
17:28
I could make this bigger, darn it, this OK, this little bit up
17:32
here. Let me get my markers out and
17:33
I'll tell you what this says. This says United Kingdom silver
17:39
imports. And this down here says the
17:42
United States. OK, this, OK, so they import all
17:47
that silver from the United States.
17:50
This says UK silver exports. So once they import all this
17:57
silver from the United States, they export all this silver.
18:02
And where do you think it goes? How about China?
18:05
How about Asia? That's what's happening right
18:09
now. That explains when we look at
18:12
the inventories at places, you know what?
18:15
Hold on. Let me get that.
18:16
Hold on one second. It might have been easier to
18:21
read. Oh, you know, here.
18:22
Hold on, guys. Hold on.
18:25
Yeah, OK. Yep.
18:30
There you go. There's those charts.
18:32
You can read it a little better. US.
18:34
I'm sorry, UK silver imports and UK silver exports.
18:40
And that down there says I can't, I still can't read it.
18:44
Hold on. Let's pull that up a little bit
18:47
bigger for you. Wow.
18:49
Now it's huge. Hong Kong that says Hong Kong.
18:56
That's so that's right again, the silver, it's imported the
19:00
Big Blue line on the right from the United States of America.
19:03
They take all our silver into the United Kingdom and then that
19:07
Big Blue line, they export it to Hong Kong.
19:11
Let me get this back to normal size for our future.
19:16
But that explains, right, It's physical, it's a physical metal,
19:19
it's a physical market. And that's what's happening
19:21
right now in our world. OK, what about, oh, let's talk
19:24
about $200 silver? Somebody said 200.
19:27
Somebody new somebody. Finally we got the, the, the 300
19:31
club. There's like 8 analysts who say
19:33
we're going to have $300 silver. But let's see from this article
19:37
at Kitco. Who's talking about $200 silver
19:41
and why? This is an article from Kitco
19:43
from our friend Ernest Hoffman. Gold will hit a 5800 all time
19:49
high by December. Oh man, doesn't that make us
19:52
feel good? It's going to be a good
19:54
Christmas, but silver has the highest upside.
19:58
This comes from MKS Pamps Shields 2 burglary 2 paragraphs.
20:03
Despite the Iran war headwinds, gold prices are still on track
20:06
to reach a fresh all time high of 5800 per oz before year end
20:11
Christmas party time here in the basement for US basement
20:14
dwellers. While silver's supply deficit
20:18
and dual demand make it better, medium make it a better medium
20:22
term bet, according. To Nikki Shields, head of
20:25
research and metal strategy at MKS Pam.
20:29
Now we're going to go all the way down to the bottom.
20:31
They've talked about all the stuff that we've really talked
20:34
about a lot, but this is interesting.
20:36
She says gold has stronger institutional underpinning,
20:40
resilient, excuse me, central bank demand clear macro catalyst
20:45
with a ramp up of stagflationary risk and less vulnerability to
20:50
an industrial demand shock. But silver is nowhere near its
20:56
inflation adjusted highs of around $200 per oz.
21:02
It faces persistent structural supply deficits where supply is
21:08
slow to respond. Right, because 75% of silver
21:13
that gets created every year by the mining sector is an
21:17
accident. It's a by product from copper
21:20
mining, zinc mining, lead mining.
21:23
OK, And once both retail and institutional investment flows
21:29
re engage simultaneously. Oh, she said the S word.
21:34
Excuse me, the squeeze squeeze, squeeze potential is
21:41
significant. OK, silver squeeze.
21:45
Did she say that? I didn't say it.
21:47
She said it, OK, $200 silver. She said it because yes, the
21:52
1980 high of $50 per oz in today's dollars would be $200
22:00
per oz. And if you factor that and that
22:03
we only hit 120 and people said, oh, it was a it was a squeeze,
22:07
it was a mania. No, that was nothing.
22:10
OK. That was a that was the physical
22:13
market exerting itself over the paper market.
22:17
And the other really crazy thing great thing that she talks about
22:21
is that when retail and institutional investment flows
22:26
come back to silver guys, we we are think about where we are
22:31
right now with silver $75 per oz, 80 dollars, $70 whatever 66.
22:36
I don't even want to think about that.
22:38
But anyway, we we are there and there is still very muted.
22:44
Let's just say even right now, not the best sentiment or
22:48
interest in silver from the retail investors or the.
22:53
So what we've accomplished, which is incredible has been
22:56
done in an environment where where silver's been kind of
23:00
hated. Rick Rule said it and I agree
23:03
100%. Silver doesn't need to be loved.
23:06
It just needs to be a little bit less hated.
23:09
And it can be the smallest amount of money coming into
23:12
silver can create a massive, massive inflow of new money.
23:17
OK, now let's let's go back. Hold on one second here.
23:23
Hold on. Hold on one second.
23:25
Oh, let's talk about the let's talk about financial crisis.
23:28
Here we go. I didn't know this.
23:30
Turkey, remember Turkey selling all their gold.
23:34
Big deal. The Turkish lira is now fallen
23:37
to an all time low against the US dollar.
23:41
Now down. Hold on, there we go.
23:45
You want to see that chart now? You can see it now down 98%
23:51
since 2010. This is what happens when a
23:57
country racks up too much debt. This is what happens when
24:02
politicians mismanage the fiscal situation of a country.
24:07
That's what happens right now. Now also consider, let's move on
24:11
to this. This is very interesting, this
24:14
is history, this is real. And this relates also to what we
24:18
just talked about from Manico 64.
24:20
He's got a great YouTube channel.
24:21
I'm sure a lot of you know him and follow him.
24:23
He said during the European, remember this, the European
24:27
sovereign debt crisis from 2009 to 2012, Remember Greece and
24:32
there was this big what I mean, they, I don't know what they
24:35
did, but they kicked the can down the road, no doubt.
24:38
But remember, during that period, the European sovereign
24:41
debt crisis, gold almost doubled from 1000 to a $19120 per oz.
24:48
Now think about this. What do you think gold will do
24:53
when the nascent global sovereign, not just European,
24:58
but a global southern sovereign debt crisis that will include
25:03
not just your Eurozone but also the United States, Japan and the
25:09
UK? You know, like the big headline
25:12
story right now is a 30 year bond yields.
25:15
I haven't looked today, but yesterday they got up to like
25:18
5.2% with we have a bond crisis where people are selling bonds.
25:23
And then we got news this morning that Japan is planning
25:27
on selling a boatload more of U.S. debt.
25:30
It's a very, very interesting situation.
25:32
We're going to talk about Peter Schiff, what he's saying about
25:35
what's going on. We're going to talk about what
25:37
happened with gold. The reason why we don't have to
25:39
worry. Gold's the granddaddy of all
25:41
precious metals. Don't have to worry about what
25:44
happened over the last six, 7-8 weeks with the Iran thing.
25:47
We had a great piece from Kitco and more about gold that relates
25:52
to silver as well. Before we do that, you may have
25:55
noticed we've got a new sponsor down here in the basement, Sugar
25:58
Mountain Trading Company. I'm excited because it's
26:01
actually the first big consumer brand that is sponsoring Ron's
26:06
basement and they are a luxury creator of personal care
26:11
products, things like soaps, things like shampoos, things
26:16
like lotions and even like therapeutic lotions.
26:19
This is high, high end products, right?
26:22
Like handmade curated products. They make them in Mount Vernon,
26:27
KY and they use all 100% natural products.
26:31
It's a great company. Actually, the way it got
26:34
started, it's very interesting. The guy that started at the CEO
26:37
was just making soap for himself and then he started giving it to
26:41
his friends and from there it grew and grew and grew into this
26:45
massive successful situation that it is right now in that
26:50
that only happens right if they have great, great products.
26:53
So they got all different. I used this one this morning.
26:56
It's the cherry almond, oat and honey soap.
26:59
I took the wrapper off so I could show you these.
27:02
This is not like the soap that you get at the grocery store,
27:05
OK, which I had always used, but I've been using their products
27:09
now for almost 30 days. I used some of their other soap.
27:12
They've got these great soaps that last a lot longer than the
27:16
bars of soap that you get at the grocery store.
27:19
But they're just better. Like I feel, I feel really good.
27:22
You may notice a a new glow in my skin.
27:24
But they also have lotions, right?
27:27
Like this one. This is one of my new favorites.
27:29
This is called date night lotion, OK, from Sugar Mountain
27:32
Trading Company. They got products for men and
27:37
women, OK, They got a whole line of products just for men, right.
27:41
And they got products for men and women and products just for
27:44
women as well. You can check them out.
27:46
It's Sugar Mountain trading.com. Oh and special, OK, a very
27:51
special and in the guy that started the company, he and his
27:54
wife Scott and Lisa, they're awesome people, super nice and
27:57
they're actually basement dwellers.
27:59
I almost forgot to say that that's how they contacted me,
28:02
sent a bunch of the products a month ago and I'm like, I love
28:05
this stuff. I'd love to talk about it and
28:07
share it with the audience cuz I only work with sponsors that I
28:10
believe in 100%. There's the sign right there,
28:13
Sugar Mountain Trading Company. But right there, if you can read
28:17
that they have a special discount code for his basement
28:19
dwellers. Ron 25, yes, 25% off.
28:24
And make sure when you go there, you tell him you're a basement
28:27
dweller. OK, thank you.
28:28
Sugar Mountain Trading. I'll be telling you guys more
28:30
about the company in the coming couple weeks.
28:32
Now let's go see what Peter Schiff is saying about what is
28:37
happening right now in the world and what this means for us.
28:41
Peter Schiff says we are beginning the biggest surge in
28:46
both inflation and bond yields since the 1970s.
28:51
Guys, in the 1970s, silver, for instance, went from like $1.50
28:57
all the way to $50 and it was like, I don't know, 17X minimum.
29:02
It was crazy. Even when the Iran war ends,
29:06
inflation in yields will continue to rise.
29:11
I was talking to a high level financial executive the other
29:15
day and he said it. We were talking about the
29:17
economy. He said it hasn't even hit us
29:20
yet. OK.
29:21
And this is a big trad FI guy with one of the big one of the
29:24
biggest financial firms in the world.
29:27
And he said it hasn't even hit us yet, Ron.
29:30
It's, it's just now this inflation that we're going to
29:33
hit in the next year is going to be crazy.
29:37
He said those who thought inflation was transitory in 2021
29:41
or subprime was contained in 2007 are just oblivious.
29:46
Got gold? How do you answer that question
29:51
to Peter? I'll let you answer that for
29:54
yourself and let's talk about gold and what happened.
29:58
A lot of people are being critical of precious metals
30:01
since they've struggled from a price temporarily from a price
30:04
perspective since the Iran war. This comes from Kitco.
30:09
Insurance policy was being cashed in during the Iran war,
30:14
gold liquidations but demand remains strong.
30:18
That's from HSBC. Just a couple paragraphs here
30:22
says while the Iran conflict rocked commodity sector with oil
30:26
prices spiking as gold prices slid lower and silver demand for
30:31
the yellow metal and the silver medal has remained strong as it
30:35
has performed is exactly as it should under the circumstances,
30:40
according to James Steele, chief precious metals analyst at HSBC.
30:47
There we go then I wanted to share this with you because it
30:50
it gets very interesting. There's been a lot of critics of
30:54
the bullion market saying that that the decline since the
30:57
strikes on Iran and escalating oil prices, claiming that gold
31:02
is not a safe haven anymore. Yeah, we've heard that guys,
31:05
haven't we? But that's failed, that it's
31:07
failed in some sense, he said. I would argue exactly the
31:11
opposite because as oil went up and we got restoked,
31:15
inflationary feel, inflationary fears and bond yields rose and
31:20
the dollar rose, equities declined.
31:22
In that atmosphere, ready cash was needed.
31:26
Turkey needed cash. Russia with their situation in
31:29
Ukraine, needed cash in. That's what gold provides you,
31:34
He says. We did see liquidation in the
31:36
gold market, but mostly as a reaction to the financial
31:41
market. And he added, in a sense, gold
31:45
was an insurance policy and that insurance policy was is being
31:49
cashed in. OK.
31:51
So yeah, the gold price may have gone down.
31:54
The silver price may have gone down and silver for maybe a few
31:58
other different reasons as we've discussed ad nauseam.
32:01
But they're doing their job. Don't forget the chart we looked
32:04
at just a little bit ago and we are going to do a silver price
32:08
check update here. See if we're still above 2-2
32:11
dollars up in the spot market. But they're doing their job,
32:15
guys. Oh, by the way, do you remember
32:18
something very important about gold and silver?
32:23
They've been doing that job not just for the last 6-8 weeks, not
32:28
just for the last 6-8 years, decades.
32:31
Like how about for like the last 600 years?
32:34
How about the last 3000 years, right.
32:37
Gold and silver are the original.
32:40
They are the always reserve currency, however you want to
32:45
say it. They are the money of the world.
32:48
We know what's going on. Or actually, right.
32:52
Yeah, we know what's going on with central banks buying gold.
32:55
And here's some crazy information about that fact
32:59
right here. You got to love this when it
33:02
comes to gold, and when it comes to gold, it relates to silver
33:05
and gold we trust says this. Then we got a great chart to
33:09
look at. The freezing of Russian reserves
33:12
in 2022 changed the central bank banking world forever.
33:18
Before the invasion of Ukraine, central banks had already
33:22
already returned as consistent gold buyers.
33:25
From 2010 to 2022, quarterly purchases averaged about 120
33:31
tons. But once sanctions weaponized
33:37
foreign exchange reserves right after the the Russian invasion
33:41
of Ukraine, average quarterly gold purchases purchases surged
33:46
to 255 tons, which is more than double the pre invasion pace.
33:52
Perhaps even more striking, every single quarter since the
33:58
invasion has recorded net purchases above the pre 2022
34:04
level. Not one exception.
34:07
OK, it says a little bit more, but look at this chart at the
34:13
top. It tells us two times quarterly
34:15
run rate of net purchases versus pre Russian invasion.
34:20
Let's get the markers out and see exactly what they're talking
34:24
about. I'm feeling blue all right,
34:26
feeling happy, but feeling blue. So right here, this was the
34:31
average before the Russian invasion.
34:34
You can see this green line. This goes all the way back, as
34:37
you can see in the lower left corner to 2010, OK, This is the
34:42
average amount from 2010 to 2022, that level right there.
34:49
Let's erase that and erase that. That green dotted line.
34:53
This is the average after the Russian invasion.
34:57
Look, OK, And again, that's the red line is the average right
35:03
there. That line.
35:06
This line is the average after the invasion.
35:11
This line is the average before the invasion.
35:15
Guys, look, there's a lot of BS in the world.
35:18
We just talked about the fact gold and silver are absolutely
35:22
the world's reserve currencies. The world central banks are the
35:25
most sophisticated in the know in power institutions when it
35:31
comes to money, value, whatever you want to say it, where are
35:35
they putting their money? We don't have to listen.
35:38
There's so much noise out there about everything, you know,
35:42
constantly, right? And a lot of that's media trying
35:45
to stir people up, getting people to view things, whatever.
35:48
At the end of the day, it's real simple.
35:50
At the end of the day, if we look at those central banks and
35:54
look at what they are doing, not what the media saying, not even
35:58
what those central banks are saying, because central banks,
36:02
I'm sure it was an accident, but they've had a record of saying
36:05
things that weren't always true. But if we look at what they're
36:10
doing, that tells the story. And what they are doing is
36:17
buying twice as much gold on 1/4 by quarter basis now than they
36:23
were in the 12 years that led up to 2022, right?
36:30
Look and what happens for gold happens for silver.
36:34
Real simple, OK? The other real simple thing that
36:38
we need to realize when it comes to gold and silver isn't the
36:41
only thing we need to keep an eye on.
36:43
I haven't harped on it today, but I'll harp on it right now is
36:48
inflation. Inflation is the new master
36:53
because inflation is at the top of the pyramid and everything
36:58
else underneath it, right, is all related, all feeds into
37:02
inflation. Inflation is devaluation of the
37:07
US dollar. People go to the people go to
37:09
the grocery store or the gas station or pay their homeowners
37:12
insurance bill and they're like, oh, prices are going up.
37:15
Prices are going up every and we're like brainwashing, right?
37:22
Thank you upstairs Susie. Hey everybody, please say hi to
37:25
upstairs Susie. Oh, and by the way, that Silver
37:28
Mountain Trading company, they have some therapeutic lotions.
37:32
You can read about them in the Google reviews.
37:34
People love them. Susie had a has a shoulder
37:36
problem and she's only used it once.
37:38
It was last night, but she used some of this therapeutic lotion
37:42
and she was like about 10 minutes later I said, is it
37:45
working? Is it working?
37:46
And she was like thumbs up. But she's going to use it more
37:50
and promises to report back to us.
37:52
But everybody, please say hi to upstairs.
37:54
Susie, for those of you who are new, that's her.
37:57
That's my wife, beautiful wife. And she's our Co host and she
38:01
communicates with us through this walkie-talkie because you
38:05
know, we just don't like to talk about serious silver things here
38:09
in the basement. Like to have some fun as well.
38:11
And she informed us that we have 200 thumbs up.
38:13
So we will do that. Back to inflation.
38:16
Inflation is all that matters. Everything else.
38:18
Oh, people talk about the prices going up, right?
38:21
Oh, the price, but price went up.
38:22
Price and they are right. But the price I, I, I want you,
38:26
we got to, we got to take those people who we affectionately
38:30
refer to as the the sheeple and say prices aren't going up, you
38:37
knucklehead. Jughead.
38:40
They used to call me Jughead in college.
38:42
It's not prices going up. No, it's the value of this Huh,
38:49
If you want the same value, that's a bad word, but it's the
38:52
it's this paper going down. OK, and at the same time as the
38:59
value of this goes down, the value of this right like this
39:03
beautiful one ounce a year of the horse coin from channel
39:07
sponsor first meant goes up. OK, this buys the exact same
39:12
amount of milk, wheat, I don't know, food, whatever right now
39:19
that it bought 200 years ago. Actually, a little more.
39:23
It's done better. We looked at that not too long
39:25
ago. 400 years ago, still bought the same thing and is an extra
39:31
added bonus. Isn't it beautiful?
39:33
Check that out. All silver.
39:36
That's why I think jewelry demand is going to be that's the
39:39
sleeper anyway. I oh, I got to ring the bell.
39:42
We got 200 thumbs up. You guys are awesome.
39:44
Thank you. I bet Susie was working on that
39:47
one. For those of you that don't like
39:49
loud bells or may have earbuds in, this is your mute warning,
39:53
but there's the 200 thumbs up bell.
39:59
All right, guys, Hey, thanks for being here in the basement.
40:02
Don't forget, subscribe to the channel, go check out Sugar
40:04
Mountain Trading Company, check out first Mint, check out first
40:07
mining gold. I'm here because of the support
40:10
of the sponsors, but I'm really here ultimately.
40:14
Because of you. And we mean that, right?
40:17
If it's there were no viewers, if there was no basement to
40:20
other community, there'd be no Ron's basement.
40:23
So thank you. You're important.
40:24
You matter. You're always welcome here.
40:27
Don't forget it's free to subscribe.
40:30
Take care of yourself and we will see you.
40:32
And it's true. We see you.
40:35
All right, We'll see you next time.
40:37
Let's go gold. Let's go silver.
