- 0:02Happy Tuesday morning, everybody.
- 0:06Yeah. Are you going to The Dells this
- 0:09weekend? Yeah.
- 0:12Hey, let's stop downtown Milwaukee at Potawatomi.
- 0:17Yeah. Then when we get to The Dells,
- 0:22we'll go to Ho Chunk Casino. Don't you know Tuesday?
- 0:30I can't help it. I just love Tuesdays.
- 0:32I get to think about my friends in Milwaukee.
- 0:36Yeah. OK.
- 0:39I'm done. I promise, man.
- 0:43I'll tell you. I'm going to get right to it
- 0:46this morning. Yesterday.
- 0:50Adam Stern reports that John Probst, executive at NASCAR,
- 0:58says that the NASCAR Xfinity Series really doesn't have an
- 1:03identity. Like we really don't know what
- 1:06that series is all about. And that maybe 10 years from
- 1:12now. Well, not even that, he said
- 1:152030. So five years from now.
- 1:18Four, well, four years from now. Damn, Herman, learn to do your
- 1:21math. That's quicker than I thought.
- 1:26John Probst from NASCAR said 2030 that maybe the Xfinity
- 1:33Series could be running EVs. OK, if you're like me, the word
- 1:40EV stands for electric vehicle. That's like me my whole life.
- 1:46When I was a kid, I'd go down the street and I'd look at the
- 1:49street, the street signs, and they'd say Blvd.
- 1:52I'm like, come to find out later on, it was just an abbreviation
- 1:58for the word Blvd. there. There's these things in life
- 2:02everybody you know I'm I'm sure you've gone through it, but my
- 2:07crazy brain did E VS electric vehicle article goes on to read
- 2:18that our automakers or as they all say OEM.
- 2:23You know I don't even know what this stands for.
- 2:27I I I do some about the people that built the cars just sounds
- 2:32like a lot to say OE MB LVDEV see what I mean it's the way my
- 2:41brain works. Just all these initials just say
- 2:44it electric vehicle car with batteries plug it in.
- 2:50OK, so I see this last night reported by Adam Stern.
- 2:55And I wake up this morning really late.
- 2:58Like my wife comes in the room, she's worried about me.
- 3:01She says, Oh my God, I'm glad you're up.
- 3:02So I get up, it's 958, it's closing in on 10:00 and our
- 3:08complete compound is worried about me because I'm usually the
- 3:11first one up and I'm digging. But yesterday I was I went hard.
- 3:18I went hard yesterday and today I'm I'm paying the price.
- 3:21It's what happens when you get old like me.
- 3:23You go hard one day, you feel it the next day.
- 3:27So I get up this morning and I get on X.
- 3:30And I mean, everybody's lost their ever living minds.
- 3:34Everybody is, you know, talking about what I read about last
- 3:40night. So I know more because I'm the
- 3:42greatest. That's the way social media
- 3:47works, Everybody trying to tell you what they think, you know,
- 3:51because that's the great thing about social media.
- 3:53Well, by God, I'll tell them that I don't like this.
- 3:56And if they if they take that O'Reilly series and they make
- 4:00them electric vehicles, then by God, I'll never watch a NASCAR
- 4:03again. But we're going to have to wait
- 4:07four years or more. But I'm going to get my shot in
- 4:10right now while I can. So here my dumb ass is pile it
- 4:16on. Well, let me give you my opinion
- 4:19about electric vehicles. See how I dumped it down?
- 4:26Let me tell you a quick story about electric vehicles.
- 4:29And I'm right And and I know everything.
- 4:33I hate it that I know a lot because then I got to tell you.
- 4:36And then it looks like I know everything.
- 4:39When I don't know everything. I'll tell you I don't know
- 4:42anything about that. However, remember that little
- 4:45excursion? Remember that little trip I just
- 4:48took over to Europe? Oh, yeah.
- 4:51Oh, yeah. Hold on.
- 4:56I didn't want to get into this when I came back from my trip,
- 5:00but I'm going to let you all in on it because this is what you
- 5:03literally call perfect timing. When I was over in Europe, You
- 5:08know, I was over in Europe just about two weeks ago, and then I
- 5:12was over there last year. I have been privileged.
- 5:16I stopped by Ferrari. I stopped at the Ferrari factory
- 5:22the day Lewis Hamilton came there.
- 5:24Fans were going nuts hanging on the gates all around the Ferrari
- 5:29factory. Then my dear friend Max Pappas
- 5:33gets me hooked up of a tour of a Lamborghini about 20 miles down
- 5:38the road. Oh yeah, Lamborghini and Ferrari
- 5:41about 2020 miles away from each other.
- 5:44And that was last year. This year I go to we go to
- 5:50Porsche and we go to Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart,
- 5:56Stuttgart, Germany, I believe it was STUGARTT, Stuttgart,
- 6:03Germany. Last year was Modena, Modena for
- 6:09Ferrari, Lamborghini and guess what, the number one thing
- 6:13around all of Europe and everything was wooden straws,
- 6:18grass. I got pictures in my phone right
- 6:23now and if they're still in there, I'm going to share them
- 6:25with you. Europe is is aid up with green.
- 6:30They are they are everything you could think of.
- 6:35They are not. I have I have a good time over
- 6:38there, but United States is the greatest of all time.
- 6:43I can promise you I had a good time in Europe.
- 6:45Love Europe, but it's like anything when you dig deep into
- 6:49it, all these motors that they all build over there you got you
- 6:53got the engine you got the engine that runs on gasoline and
- 6:57then they got these damn generators all over the motor
- 7:01and when I went to Ferrari, they they show the red motor and then
- 7:03they show these two green things.
- 7:06Those are the generators. So you start, you start the
- 7:10engine up racing engine, Formula One and then these, these
- 7:17basically alternators, you know, and, but they got them painted
- 7:21green. So you know what you're looking
- 7:22at. So they fire up these generators
- 7:25in and then it charges some batteries and then now we're
- 7:28hybrid. Now we got an engine and we got
- 7:30a little bit of a little bit of battery here and now we got a
- 7:33little bit of electricity to make the car go too hybrid.
- 7:38So I noticed that. And then this year I go on and
- 7:42I, I asked somebody, I don't know if it was no, I was at, I
- 7:47was at, I was up there at Nurburgring.
- 7:52And I asked one of the executives, I said, what's the
- 7:57deal with with Europe? Is the government, does the
- 8:00government, you know, tell the race teams what to do?
- 8:04And they reminded me, they said, Kenny, Mercedes-Benz, they build
- 8:08the cars, passenger cars. Porsche they build passenger
- 8:12cars. So these are automakers that
- 8:15want their cars to use less gas. It's not so much the government,
- 8:21it is a little bit, but I mean everything they do in Europe,
- 8:25everything is about a damn wooden straw or wooden spoon or
- 8:32you know, they're just the automakers are 8 up with the
- 8:37electric vehicles. So in ending, don't blame it all
- 8:43on NASCAR. I can promise you promise you
- 8:47that the automakers are just twisting NASCAR's arm and that's
- 8:53the bottom line. So they're saying maybe four
- 8:57more years the O'Reilly auto parts would be electric.
