- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in
- 0:06Speaker 1: partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Everybody, Welcome to Game Day you Patrick Claybon back here
- 0:12Speaker 2: with Greg Rosenhalt and Cynthia Freeland. Week two is upon us,
- 0:15Speaker 2: and we gotta do better at our picks. Good.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like, oh, it's a new season. Everything's crazy,
- 0:20Speaker 3: We're starting all over and then oh, the predictable picks.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Queen just back on top, Thirs.
- 0:25Speaker 2: No, it's predictable that you would beat us. That's the predictable.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Yes, that's what I mean. That's what I mean. Wow,
- 0:30Speaker 3: it's a compliment.
- 0:31Speaker 4: I felt like I just was catching as stray there
- 0:33Speaker 4: straight back, Niche.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Would you like to see photographic evidence that Cynthia is
- 0:38Speaker 2: ahead of us? There? It is eleven and five in
- 0:41Speaker 2: week one with the crown, No actual crown today. We
- 0:44Speaker 2: save that again for the end of the year when
- 0:46Speaker 2: Cynthia predictably beats it.
- 0:47Speaker 3: There is an asterisk. Though I don't accept the results
- 0:50Speaker 3: of the Ravens Bills games, Ravens actually wear the right pick.
- 0:53Speaker 2: That is a fictional universe where I would like to
- 0:55Speaker 2: also reside Cynthia's leading me. I'm good can be attributed
- 1:00Speaker 2: in part to that game, including some other fourth quarter comebacks.
- 1:03Speaker 2: In prime to this week's game of the week is
- 1:06Speaker 2: a Super Bowl rematch Eagles and Chiefs rematch in Arrowheads Sunday,
- 1:10Speaker 2: Casey coming off a lost Week one to the Chargers,
- 1:13Speaker 2: Andy Reid's squad in danger of starting zero to two. Greg,
- 1:17Speaker 2: does that happen?
- 1:18Speaker 3: It does not. I have sat in this chair so
- 1:21Speaker 3: many times over the years when the Chiefs are looking
- 1:24Speaker 3: vulnerable and oh they're a home underdog because of various
- 1:28Speaker 3: reasons why it's not coming together, and I pick against him,
- 1:30Speaker 3: and I get it wrong. I'm not making that mistake
- 1:32Speaker 3: because Patrick Mahomes did what we asked him to do
- 1:35Speaker 3: in Week one, which is bring back the explosive Patrick Mahomes,
- 1:39Speaker 3: the fun Patrick Mahomes, the big game hunting Patrick Mahomes.
- 1:44Speaker 3: You see the special plays with him on the run,
- 1:46Speaker 3: you see all the scrambling, you even see some deep shots.
- 1:50Speaker 3: And so if you tell me you got the best
- 1:53Speaker 3: quarterback on Earth in a game that he absolutely needs
- 1:55Speaker 3: to win, I feel like this happens a lot where
- 1:58Speaker 3: you get the playoff loss and everyone talks about revenge.
- 2:01Speaker 3: It doesn't really matter if you get that regular season,
- 2:03Speaker 3: but in this case, it's like how the Bills beat
- 2:06Speaker 3: the Chiefs. Always in the regular season, the Chiefs get
- 2:09Speaker 3: a little bit of revenge with the win. This week,
- 2:11Speaker 3: I have just.
- 2:12Speaker 5: A little bit of revenge also.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Twenty three to twenty two, just a one point win
- 2:16Speaker 4: for the Chiefs at home. But like you said, they're underdogs,
- 2:18Speaker 4: So I think this is a really fascinating matchup for
- 2:21Speaker 4: a lot of reasons. But let's talk about Hollywood Brown
- 2:23Speaker 4: for a second, because he's basically kind of the only.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Thing left in that amongst the wide receivers.
- 2:29Speaker 4: There's a lot of injuries on available players. But when
- 2:32Speaker 4: I'm looking at his ability to connect with Patrick Mahomes
- 2:34Speaker 4: on the deep ball, I do think that comes back.
- 2:37Speaker 5: But what's different in this game, Well.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I think they just roll out more twelve personnel, so
- 2:40Speaker 4: they go back to the heavier tight end formations to
- 2:42Speaker 4: keep that front away from Patrick Mahomes. I think their
- 2:46Speaker 4: run game has a little bit of an uptick this game,
- 2:48Speaker 4: and then that leads to more deep passes. We're going
- 2:51Speaker 4: to see that. You talk about the fun Patrick Mahomes.
- 2:53Speaker 4: I miss those deep touchdown passes. It wasn't because of
- 2:56Speaker 4: Tyreek Hill. It it was because of a lot of
- 2:58Speaker 4: other things. So let's just get those deep Hollywood Brown
- 3:00Speaker 4: in the end zone, deep pass, Let's go.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I also have a close game, but I have the
- 3:04Speaker 2: team that beat the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl,
- 3:06Speaker 2: winning twenty seven to twenty five. These teams have played
- 3:09Speaker 2: some great games. I know the Kansas City Chiefs would
- 3:11Speaker 2: like revenge. The Eagles could get revenge for the game
- 3:14Speaker 2: that they lost a few years ago. Jalen Hurts still
- 3:16Speaker 2: has that as his lock screen. So again, I think
- 3:18Speaker 2: both teams will try hard here, but I want to
- 3:21Speaker 2: look back to that Super Bowl where Kansas City was
- 3:23Speaker 2: able to hold Saquon Barkley to just fifty seven yards
- 3:27Speaker 2: on the ground. They say you have to pick a poison.
- 3:29Speaker 2: The poison that they picked was the one that got
- 3:31Speaker 2: them beat as Stags of Squad saw Devanta and aj
- 3:36Speaker 2: Brown get into the end zone and that one Jalen
- 3:38Speaker 2: Hurts had a plus twelve completion percentage over expected, was
- 3:41Speaker 2: only pressured seven times in that game. Yes, the guy
- 3:44Speaker 2: who called that game is now coaching in New Orleans,
- 3:46Speaker 2: but the folks who executed that game plan again, which
- 3:48Speaker 2: wasn't that long ago, remain in Philly. So I right
- 3:52Speaker 2: will proudly take the stray bond here and go with
- 3:55Speaker 2: the Super Bowl champs from a Super Bowl rematch to
- 3:57Speaker 2: a division rivalry. The Jets saw the Steelers come back
- 4:00Speaker 2: to win in Week one, and we all saw the
- 4:01Speaker 2: Buffalo Bills come back from down fifteen in the fourth
- 4:05Speaker 2: quarter last Sunday. Alan fires down the left side.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He's got pullner at the forty and out of bounds at.
- 4:14Speaker 6: The forty thirty five in Baltimore Territory. Wow, want to
- 4:19Speaker 6: play Josh with a frozen rope thirty two yards?
- 4:26Speaker 7: It's a snap back to pass blitz coming.
- 4:28Speaker 6: Alan completes a COVID cuts it back at the twenty,
- 4:31Speaker 6: tripped up at.
- 4:32Speaker 3: The ten yard line. Oh, we thought he was headed
- 4:35Speaker 3: to the end zone.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Down to three seconds.
- 4:38Speaker 7: Here's the snap, hold his.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Down kick on the way and it is good.
- 4:43Speaker 6: And Matt Prater, in his first game as a Buffalo.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Bill, has won the.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Ball game here in week one, not just down fifteen
- 4:54Speaker 2: to the fourth quarter, down fifteen with just four minutes
- 4:56Speaker 2: Togo last week. Now they had to met life to
- 4:58Speaker 2: take on Justin Fields. I will take the Buffalo Bills
- 5:01Speaker 2: to sneak out a narrow twenty eight to twenty six
- 5:03Speaker 2: win in this one. I think the Jets play a
- 5:06Speaker 2: little better than expected, but it's just so difficult to
- 5:09Speaker 2: deal with Josh Allen, especially when you look at this
- 5:12Speaker 2: Bill's offensive line. The Jets defense did get the Aaron
- 5:15Speaker 2: Rodgers a few times, but not enough in that shootout,
- 5:19Speaker 2: and the Baltimore Ravens brought what they could again in
- 5:21Speaker 2: a fourth quarter where the defense was on the field
- 5:24Speaker 2: a lot just trying to pressure Josh Allen. It's tough
- 5:26Speaker 2: enough to get past the offensive line, but then when
- 5:29Speaker 2: you do, you have to actually get Josh Allen to
- 5:32Speaker 2: the ground. It's very, very difficult. I don't know if
- 5:33Speaker 2: the Jets are there. I've got the Bills winning by two.
- 5:36Speaker 4: You have a two point win for the Bills, so
- 5:38Speaker 4: you're kind of on the Bills. I'm very, very much
- 5:41Speaker 4: in favor of the Bills here. Twenty eight to twenty
- 5:43Speaker 4: is my final score.
- 5:44Speaker 5: That's a big win.
- 5:45Speaker 4: After playing such an emotional game, and then the next
- 5:47Speaker 4: week people have talked about being tired, but I'm looking
- 5:50Speaker 4: at this Bill's defense and I'm thinking Bobby Babbage is
- 5:53Speaker 4: going to have a solution for our run defense that
- 5:55Speaker 4: was vulnerable.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Let's just let's put that nice.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It's nice.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't as I thought Bresall looks great in
- 6:02Speaker 4: week one, Budd, he's not Derek Henry, let's just put
- 6:05Speaker 4: it that way. I thought Justin Fields looked exceptional in
- 6:07Speaker 4: week one, but he's not quite Lamar Jackson yet. Oh, Greg,
- 6:11Speaker 4: just pitch poshing me.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I feel like she has seen what I'm gonna do,
- 6:15Speaker 3: and she's doing like oppo research time.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I'm just inceptioning you and going and figuring out what
- 6:20Speaker 4: to do. But ultimately, what I'm talking about in this
- 6:23Speaker 4: one is I think that the run game for the
- 6:25Speaker 4: Bills is better, and therefore it nullifies a lot of
- 6:29Speaker 4: that run defense being of vulnerability because it puts the
- 6:32Speaker 4: game script in a situation where the Jets are going
- 6:34Speaker 4: to have to throw the foot.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Okay, they saved the best for last when it came
- 6:38Speaker 3: to these picks. The best, Yeah, in terms of the
- 6:41Speaker 3: most exciting pick, and that's taking a six to win
- 6:44Speaker 3: the game.
- 6:44Speaker 5: And what does that make?
- 6:45Speaker 3: This? What your picking makes it? A just Greg?
- 6:48Speaker 5: That's what it makes and just Greg's did how well
- 6:50Speaker 5: last week?
- 6:50Speaker 3: They went? Want to know, let's go just dregnation. What
- 6:53Speaker 3: happened with prime numbers? Where you were on an island?
- 6:57Speaker 3: You went four and oh a week ago.
- 6:59Speaker 4: You tried to beat me with the stat He asked
- 7:01Speaker 4: our researcher ahead of the show, what was the number
- 7:03Speaker 4: for we were and he's like, thinking, he's gonna be
- 7:06Speaker 4: out percentage.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Me doesn't matter, they're both. I'm gonna stay at one
- 7:10Speaker 3: hundred percent this week because look, I said, you saved
- 7:13Speaker 3: the best for last. Sometimes you go with your best stuff.
- 7:15Speaker 3: First first play of the game last week, Jets and
- 7:18Speaker 3: Bills tone setter, I believe in omens for a season.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Literally the first st half of the game against the
- 7:23Speaker 3: vaunted Pittsburgh Steelers defense, eighteen yards for Breese Hall. And
- 7:27Speaker 3: what I want you to do not just look at
- 7:28Speaker 3: this beautiful blocking. They were in sync all day, these
- 7:31Speaker 3: young offensive linemen. Let's look at the sideline and Aaron
- 7:34Speaker 3: Glentnon sat in the tone flexen on him after the
- 7:37Speaker 3: very first play of the season, and then they continued
- 7:40Speaker 3: it all day. One hundred and eighty two yards against
- 7:43Speaker 3: a great defense. The Bill's rush defense gave up over
- 7:46Speaker 3: two hundred yards. So I'm looking at this line during
- 7:48Speaker 3: the weekend at some points at six and seven, and
- 7:52Speaker 3: let's go for the Jets to just win this game
- 7:55Speaker 3: this week straight out, just Greg.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Gregor six to seventh as well. The Jets lost last
- 8:00Speaker 2: week to Aaron Rodgers and his new team, the Steelers.
- 8:03Speaker 2: A Ron came out out firing for Pittsburgh.
- 8:07Speaker 7: Stops play action pass Rogers rolling, He fires.
- 8:09Speaker 6: Underneath right up in is scronic be Pittskeronick?
- 8:12Speaker 1: Is it for the score?
- 8:15Speaker 6: Rogers the skeronic opening drive touchdown. The Steelers did not
- 8:20Speaker 6: have a single opening drive touchdown last year.
- 8:25Speaker 8: Rogers under center, play action pass, rolling to his right,
- 8:28Speaker 8: fires off.
- 8:28Speaker 6: The back Aston touchdown. Pittsburgh Steelers the play action pass.
- 8:34Speaker 6: He gets Austin in the right portion of the end
- 8:38Speaker 6: zone for the touchdown.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Rogers had four touchdowns in a Steelers' debut. Pittsburgh now
- 8:44Speaker 2: plays host to Sam Darnold and the Seahawks. Does Sam
- 8:48Speaker 2: get in there and get a win? Cynthia almost oh.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Pittsburgh wins this one by one point. I have twenty
- 8:53Speaker 4: one to twenty in this matchup. I don't like this pairing.
- 8:57Speaker 4: It's very hard on Pittsburgh. What the Seahawks defense does
- 9:00Speaker 4: is a very tough matchup.
- 9:01Speaker 5: But Aaron Rodgers using play action. We talked about this
- 9:04Speaker 5: match with Arthur Smith, what could happen?
- 9:07Speaker 4: Oh, just three of us four touchdowns run play action passes.
- 9:10Speaker 5: That's pretty good. Wouldn't you say that's pretty good?
- 9:12Speaker 4: That's pretty good, right, especially considering he also took a
- 9:15Speaker 4: bunch of sacks in this game.
- 9:16Speaker 5: So what happened? They figured it out using play action.
- 9:19Speaker 4: At the time, Arthur Smith also complimented Aaron Rodgers on
- 9:22Speaker 4: being a leader all of these different things. So I
- 9:25Speaker 4: think things look a little rosie, but it's gonna squeak
- 9:28Speaker 4: it out right at the end.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Just one point, I agree. I have a little bit
- 9:32Speaker 2: of a wider margin. Twenty three to nineteen, a win
- 9:35Speaker 2: for the Steelers. I don't think the Steelers offense will
- 9:37Speaker 2: be as explosive as it was against the Jets because
- 9:39Speaker 2: I Cynthia mentioned the Seahawks defense is a little bit better.
- 9:42Speaker 2: But I do think the defense plays a little better.
- 9:44Speaker 2: My concern is with the Seahawks and the offense. Let's
- 9:48Speaker 2: take a look at some of Sam Darnold's passing attempts
- 9:51Speaker 2: that were not the Jackson Smith and jigm This one
- 9:54Speaker 2: going to Cooper Cup is essentially the totality of the
- 9:58Speaker 2: non JSN yard is as Cooper Cup gets fifteen yards,
- 10:02Speaker 2: eighty two of the Seahawks receiving yards against the San
- 10:07Speaker 2: Francisco forty nine ers went to Jackson Smith Jig. But
- 10:10Speaker 2: they're gonna need to open things up a little bit
- 10:11Speaker 2: more to beat this Steelers defense. And we thought could
- 10:15Speaker 2: be historic coming into the year. They were not in
- 10:18Speaker 2: Week one.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I think that was literally every single that was.
- 10:20Speaker 2: The entire that was the whole catalog.
- 10:23Speaker 3: I'm going Seahawks here, which means I'm on an island
- 10:26Speaker 3: once again, twenty to eighteen. I feel great about it.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Just Greg Nason is coming with me. I think it's
- 10:32Speaker 3: a perfect matchup for the Seahawks to bounce back this
- 10:35Speaker 3: week because Aaron Rodgers struggles with pressure last week. Okay,
- 10:39Speaker 3: he played well, but when they got a little bit
- 10:42Speaker 3: of he I said, he played well, he threw the ball. Well,
- 10:46Speaker 3: there's something you know, you know the stat pressure to
- 10:48Speaker 3: sack ratio, Like when you get pressured, how often do
- 10:51Speaker 3: you end up with a sack? His pressure to sack
- 10:54Speaker 3: ratio was actually one billion last week. I don't know
- 10:57Speaker 3: how that's even mathematically possible. If anyone gets near him,
- 11:00Speaker 3: he's going down. He either gets sacked or he panics.
- 11:03Speaker 3: And I think this is a mismatch up front where
- 11:05Speaker 3: the Steelers offensive line gives up a lot of pressure
- 11:08Speaker 3: on Aaron Rodgers. And oh, by the way, the zone
- 11:10Speaker 3: runs that worked last week, I think they're gonna work
- 11:13Speaker 3: against the Steelers when the Seahawks are running him too.
- 11:16Speaker 2: We got multiple just Greggs on a ready where Greg
- 11:19Speaker 2: comes in trailing in the standings. We're just getting started
- 11:24Speaker 2: up next, it's JJ McCarthy versus Michael Pennick Junior, a
- 11:28Speaker 2: rematch from the College National Championship two years ago. No
- 11:32Speaker 2: counter stallions in this one were avengel is on the
- 11:35Speaker 2: menu for Pennants. Perhaps more game debut coming up.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Next, Rush is four McCarthy straight drop to the.
- 11:49Speaker 8: End zone and touchdown justin Jefferson. McCarthy looks at to
- 11:58Speaker 8: Jones touch do.
- 12:05Speaker 7: Showtime.
- 12:07Speaker 8: McCarthy takes off to the right, Stunner stumps at the
- 12:10Speaker 8: five touchdop.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Pee, Jj McCarthy.
- 12:19Speaker 2: We're back on game debut. We all love our producer,
- 12:22Speaker 2: hythem and his Bears fan and he has to listen
- 12:24Speaker 2: to three Paul Allen touchdown calls against his team JJ
- 12:27Speaker 2: McCarthy and the Viking's coming off that wild Monday night
- 12:30Speaker 2: comeback versus the Bears. They've got Michael Pennox Junior and
- 12:33Speaker 2: the Falcons coming to town. Here, which young quarterback gets the.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Win grid Michael Pennix. Well, you know, it's a team game.
- 12:41Speaker 3: It's not just all about the quarterbacks. And yet, if
- 12:43Speaker 3: I had to choose one quarterback to go win me
- 12:45Speaker 3: a ball game right now, it is Michael Pennox. I
- 12:47Speaker 3: think that extra experience that he had with all the
- 12:50Speaker 3: time he had in college and then an extra year
- 12:53Speaker 3: here playing in the NFL where JJ McCarthy was overcoming
- 12:56Speaker 3: an injury, you can see it. I think he's very mature.
- 12:59Speaker 3: You see the early way that they're using John Robinson
- 13:02Speaker 3: as a receiver. You get Darnell Mooney into the mix,
- 13:05Speaker 3: so you're varied. But at the end of this game
- 13:07Speaker 3: against the Buccaneers, where I believe they really thoroughly outplay
- 13:10Speaker 3: played Tampa overall. In this game, Michael Pennox made every
- 13:14Speaker 3: winning play you could possibly want a quarterback to make.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Back in the day when we didn't know as much,
- 13:20Speaker 3: we didn't have computer models like Cynthia has. We would
- 13:24Speaker 3: just go off vibes and we'd be like, this guy's
- 13:26Speaker 3: a gamer, you know this guy's this guy's got it,
- 13:30Speaker 3: this guy's got moxie. And when I look at these
- 13:32Speaker 3: two teams Falcons and Vikings, to me, they don't deserve
- 13:36Speaker 3: to be either two and oh or oho and two.
- 13:38Speaker 3: They both deserve to be one and one. So that's
- 13:39Speaker 3: what's gonna happen.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I'm very glad that we're in a day where we
- 13:42Speaker 2: can actually quantify the talent that somebody has. I'm supposed
- 13:46Speaker 2: to say he's.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Got moxie, but he does have something. This guys have
- 13:48Speaker 3: a little bit of.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Mock wants it more. I've got the Falcons winning twenty
- 13:52Speaker 2: to nineteen because yes, like Greg, I agree, playing a
- 13:55Speaker 2: young quarterback and having him experience playing the game of
- 13:58Speaker 2: football you can improve versus watching. I don't think people
- 14:00Speaker 2: get better watching things. I think they get better doing things.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And Michael has demonstrated that he has improved as a
- 14:07Speaker 2: quarterback as time has gone on, and he has He's
- 14:10Speaker 2: demonstrated as well that he loves throwing the ball to
- 14:13Speaker 2: Drake London. I'm excited for this matchup against a Brian
- 14:16Speaker 2: Flores defense. But I really think Todd Bowles and the
- 14:18Speaker 2: Buccaneers did everything they could to slow down the Falcons,
- 14:21Speaker 2: and they did in terms of slowing down the run game.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Michael Penick Junior got involved in that. But if he's
- 14:25Speaker 2: throwing the ball, he has throwing the ball to Drake London.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Last three games, he has forty six targets for Michael
- 14:32Speaker 2: Pennock Junior. He's going to be a big factor in
- 14:34Speaker 2: this game. And I got the Falcons winning a very
- 14:36Speaker 2: close receiver.
- 14:37Speaker 5: I think it's close.
- 14:38Speaker 4: But I think that you guys allowing me to have
- 14:40Speaker 4: a prime number on the vikings at home in their
- 14:43Speaker 4: savored Maybe they don't.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Have emotions like a computer. Who cares.
- 14:46Speaker 4: I don't care what you guys think. I don't care
- 14:48Speaker 4: when Greg makes fun of me. I like J J McCarthy.
- 14:50Speaker 4: He's got moxie. He's proven it to listen. I don't
- 14:53Speaker 4: know what that means.
- 14:54Speaker 5: But he's a gamer. Is that what you said?
- 14:56Speaker 2: We got a quarterboat?
- 14:57Speaker 3: They both are. I wasn't making fun of you.
- 15:01Speaker 4: You know, I mean a little bit. It's fine, it's fine.
- 15:03Speaker 4: We're a family here. You can make fun of me.
- 15:04Speaker 4: It's totally bad. Three point win for the Vikings. Listen
- 15:08Speaker 4: Jaj McCarthy's deep touchdown passes. We're both of the two
- 15:11Speaker 4: that changed the game, and he got better throughout the game.
- 15:15Speaker 4: That was something that you want to see from essentially
- 15:17Speaker 4: a rookie. I will agree that you don't get better
- 15:19Speaker 4: watching things, you get better doing things, and he got
- 15:22Speaker 4: better as the game went on. I also think Brian
- 15:24Speaker 4: Flores's defense is going to make things all. The picture
- 15:27Speaker 4: is going to be a lot less clear for Michael
- 15:29Speaker 4: Penix in this matchup.
- 15:30Speaker 5: So when I'm looking at the Vikings, I think a
- 15:33Speaker 5: field goal win is good.
- 15:34Speaker 3: This is how we lose Patrick. We give her a
- 15:36Speaker 3: three and a half point home Well.
- 15:38Speaker 5: I think we just you didn't give it to me.
- 15:39Speaker 5: I chose it. You have the ability to choose free will,
- 15:43Speaker 5: you know.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Very philosophical to say on this vision. If the Vikings
- 15:49Speaker 2: sitting at one to zero in the division, while the
- 15:50Speaker 2: Bears and Lions are now both looking up at win
- 15:53Speaker 2: one tom to see is the season presented by Caesar Sportsbook.
- 15:58Speaker 2: As we get and look at the first team touchdown odds,
- 16:02Speaker 2: excuse me, the first touchdown score odds according to our
- 16:04Speaker 2: friends at Season Sports, Brook Jamier Gibbs, David Montgomery. I'm
- 16:07Speaker 2: on Ross Brown a bear makes it on there, just
- 16:10Speaker 2: DeAndre Swift at plus eight hundred and Sam Laporta at
- 16:14Speaker 2: plus one thousand. Ben Johnson going back to Detroit to
- 16:17Speaker 2: take on his former boss. The loser leads with an
- 16:20Speaker 2: zero to two record. How are we feeling about this?
- 16:22Speaker 3: Greg nervous for either team because I think the fan
- 16:25Speaker 3: base and the teams are just going to be in
- 16:27Speaker 3: such a dark place. I trust the organizational structure of
- 16:30Speaker 3: the Lions more to figure things out. Win twenty seven
- 16:33Speaker 3: to twenty three, especially on defense, find ways to make
- 16:37Speaker 3: Caleb Williams look erratic in the second half of this game.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I think his bad plays are just a little extra
- 16:46Speaker 3: bad right now. That's all I mean is that he
- 16:48Speaker 3: does so many good things, but early in that game,
- 16:51Speaker 3: when they were really humming, a lot of the wins
- 16:53Speaker 3: were out of structure. And is that really how Ben
- 16:56Speaker 3: Johnson wants to win? I don't think so. Like he'll
- 16:58Speaker 3: take it as a bonus, but I don't think he
- 17:01Speaker 3: wants to be majoring in that. And ultimately, I thought
- 17:04Speaker 3: Caleb gets a little scrambled. This is a big game
- 17:07Speaker 3: on the road. It's going to be a tough atmosphere.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I think it's going to be close, but ultimately the
- 17:11Speaker 3: Lions win.
- 17:12Speaker 5: I think that the.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Lines win, and the model says by a bigger amount.
- 17:15Speaker 4: As a Lion fan, my heart is like, let's just
- 17:18Speaker 4: make a close one. Who cares? But the model says
- 17:20Speaker 4: twenty eight to twenty one in this matchup. When I'm
- 17:24Speaker 4: looking at what could be a signal of hope, a
- 17:27Speaker 4: tiny little flare of something to come, the deep passes
- 17:30Speaker 4: still did work.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Five of eight.
- 17:33Speaker 4: There weren't a lot of them, but you still saw
- 17:35Speaker 4: when it was possible, Jared.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Goff still got them out.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Now.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Did they get into rhythm? Absolutely not. Did they have
- 17:40Speaker 4: good run metrics? Absolutely not? Did he throw an interception
- 17:44Speaker 4: when targeting? I'm on ros Saint, yes I acknowledge all
- 17:46Speaker 4: of this, But there still were glimmers.
- 17:49Speaker 5: Of hope with that deep passing game.
- 17:50Speaker 4: And if the run game can just get a little
- 17:52Speaker 4: bit more solidified in this matchup, then I think we
- 17:55Speaker 4: see a lot of good things to come. A lot
- 17:57Speaker 4: of what Jared Goff does in the passing game comes
- 18:00Speaker 4: off being in unpredictable downs.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Do you like that catch?
- 18:04Speaker 3: I mean that was the best catch of the Year
- 18:06Speaker 3: was far Yeah, we've had it too. Had it didn't count.
- 18:08Speaker 5: I mean it counted, but it didn't have for win.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we are the Tesla shows. I am adding one
- 18:13Speaker 2: point to both teams and will take basically the same
- 18:15Speaker 2: score as Cynthia twenty nine to twenty two. So meme
- 18:18Speaker 2: us away. I am taking the Lions because, like Cynthia,
- 18:21Speaker 2: I think the run game will be a little bit better.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Despite what Jerry Jones thinks, Michael Parsons is a plus
- 18:26Speaker 2: run defender and the Chicago Bears, I don't want to
- 18:31Speaker 2: say they got exposed late against the Minnesota Vikings, but
- 18:34Speaker 2: did you see what Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones were
- 18:36Speaker 2: able to accomplish in the run and pass game big
- 18:39Speaker 2: part of that comeback, and there wasn't much available for
- 18:43Speaker 2: either David Montgomery or Jamiir Gibbs in Lambeau, both on
- 18:46Speaker 2: the air and the ground. I think things go better,
- 18:48Speaker 2: and yes, we are all taking the Detroit Lions to
- 18:51Speaker 2: come back and get a win against their former offensive coordinator.

- 19:17Speaker 2: apply the Raiders and Chargers Monday night in Las Vegas.
- 19:21Speaker 2: The Bolts knocked out the Chiefs in week one. Do
- 19:24Speaker 2: they roll against your your dear friend and associate Eugene
- 19:27Speaker 2: Cyril Smith.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Role seems harsh. I think it'll be an offensive game,
- 19:31Speaker 3: lots of points if you're into that sort of thing.
- 19:33Speaker 3: But I do think the Chargers win this game ultimately
- 19:36Speaker 3: because they know how to develop talent. Actually, these two coaches,
- 19:39Speaker 3: Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll, you know what's your deal, bro?
- 19:43Speaker 3: They actually have more in common than you think. Quintin Johnston.
- 19:48Speaker 3: You see him as a third year player and you think, okay,
- 19:50Speaker 3: well that's the same guy that we've seen as a
- 19:52Speaker 3: rookie or as a second year player. And it's like,
- 19:54Speaker 3: no players improve, players develop. Quintin Johnston year three is
- 19:59Speaker 3: not Quintin Johnston year one and two. And actually think
- 20:02Speaker 3: both of these coaching staffs do a great job at
- 20:05Speaker 3: really building up their players and making them confident and
- 20:09Speaker 3: focusing on their strength. And because of that, and now
- 20:11Speaker 3: that Harbroughs in year two with the Chargers, this is
- 20:14Speaker 3: a better group than Justin Herbert has ever had around him.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah, focusing on strengths is a key part of why
- 20:19Speaker 2: I'm taking the Charges as well, but by a narrow
- 20:22Speaker 2: margin twenty six to twenty five, because looking back, they
- 20:25Speaker 2: passed on sixty six percent of their plays. This is
- 20:27Speaker 2: the third highest in the in the entire Greg Roman
- 20:31Speaker 2: era with the Chargers, and the result was looking at
- 20:35Speaker 2: Justin Herbert just having a lot of fun, making throws
- 20:38Speaker 2: back across his body to the aforementioned Quentin Johnson who's dancing,
- 20:41Speaker 2: and then this was really and looking back, just the
- 20:46Speaker 2: full talent on display, but with the game on the line,
- 20:49Speaker 2: needing to get a first down, look at how much
- 20:51Speaker 2: fun Justin Herbert was having. That's a very saucy slide.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It's just it's so much and so yeah, they've adjusted, adapted,
- 21:01Speaker 2: and I think they get a narrow win against Las.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Vegas, and I'm looking at the Chargers to also win
- 21:06Speaker 4: in this one. Twenty three to twenty is my final score.
- 21:09Speaker 4: But I want to say, Oh.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Your kids are so cute.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I love that with the meal layer.
- 21:12Speaker 5: But I want to talk about some of the raiders.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Number One, it's Pete Carroll's birthday for the game, which
- 21:17Speaker 4: is pretty fun, right, Maybe there'll be some fireworks because
- 21:19Speaker 4: of that. And two, I want to talk about what
- 21:21Speaker 4: happens when they use twelve personnel. Last week, oh, just
- 21:24Speaker 4: eight point eight yards per play, Gino was dealing, you're.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Gonna see these tight ends.
- 21:29Speaker 4: So some combination of obviously Rock Bowers of obviously Michael
- 21:32Speaker 4: Mayer and then Ian Thomas thrown into the mix is
- 21:35Speaker 4: going to be one of the things that they go to.
- 21:37Speaker 4: This is their bread and butter this year. This opens
- 21:39Speaker 4: up those deep passes. Gino's great on the deep passes.
- 21:42Speaker 4: We've seen it year over year, and that is where
- 21:44Speaker 4: you could exploit the charters. So if they're going to
- 21:47Speaker 4: give a birthday present to Pete Carroll in Las Vegas
- 21:51Speaker 4: on Monday, it will be because of some of those
- 21:53Speaker 4: deep passes and using that twelve personnel being really really efficient.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Eight point eight yards per play has been in well,
- 21:58Speaker 4: that's a lot of yards per play.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Looking forward to this one and I'm glad Greg machem
- 22:02Speaker 2: the what's your deal, ma'am as. Now, both of these
- 22:05Speaker 2: guys have had their college national championships come back in
- 22:07Speaker 2: question because things that they have more in common than
- 22:11Speaker 2: you might think. This game expected to be one of
- 22:13Speaker 2: the highest scoring matchups of the week, according to our
- 22:15Speaker 2: friend friends Caason Sports Book. Let's take a look at
- 22:18Speaker 2: the highest over unders the Jags Bengals ahead of Eagles, Chiefs, Bears,
- 22:22Speaker 2: Lions the game we just talked about, as well as
- 22:25Speaker 2: the Bills and the Jets. Time for two Minute Drill
- 22:27Speaker 2: presented by the Wells Fargo Active Cash Credit Card. Let's
- 22:31Speaker 2: make some very quick picks here on game debut. We
- 22:34Speaker 2: we'll start with the Rams and the Titans in National.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Doescam Ward get the upset and get the first win
- 22:38Speaker 2: of his career?
- 22:39Speaker 3: He does not. He entertains us, and I love watching
- 22:42Speaker 3: cam Ward, but I love watching Kuka Nakua and DeVante
- 22:44Speaker 3: Adams even more. Rams win by a touchdown. They face
- 22:48Speaker 3: the toughest quarterback matchup they will face all season. Last week,
- 22:52Speaker 3: they actually really weren't that open. If you're watching some
- 22:55Speaker 3: of these catches and what do they do? They combined
- 22:57Speaker 3: for fourteen catches for one hundred and eighty yards and
- 22:59Speaker 3: need do like Oh, DeVante Adams was kind of quiet,
- 23:01Speaker 3: only four for fifty one. Well, he was going up
- 23:03Speaker 3: against me, maybe the best cornerback in the league, and
- 23:05Speaker 3: practically every single catch he made was incredible, including this
- 23:09Speaker 3: one where he just got trucked. As the season was beginning.
- 23:12Speaker 3: This is the best receiver duo in the league. And
- 23:15Speaker 3: even though the Titans defense, I would call them creditable,
- 23:19Speaker 3: curious Sneed's good, totally solid, That's what I'm saying. That's
- 23:22Speaker 3: not good enough against these wide.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Will anyone's face get busted open?
- 23:26Speaker 2: No busted faces bus and I enjoyed Greg's commitment to creditable.
- 23:30Speaker 2: He is single handedly bringing the word back into our lives.
- 23:34Speaker 2: The Patriots and the Fins in Miami, both teams look
- 23:36Speaker 2: at a bounce back. One team really needs to bounce back.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Who gets on the win? Collin Cynthia, Well.
- 23:40Speaker 4: I'm going to talk about the Patriots, and it kind
- 23:42Speaker 4: of surprised me.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Twenty two to twenty one is my score.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Why because the Patriots now are bringing the heat. There
- 23:48Speaker 4: was some interesting obviously, the back end of their defenses.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Missing some pieces.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Christians Gonzalez was out potentially in this one as well.
- 23:55Speaker 4: But when you look at the pressure they brought, it
- 23:57Speaker 4: was a huge increase year over year, like thirteen percent.
- 24:00Speaker 4: That's a big dick. That's a big increase year over year.
- 24:04Speaker 4: What made to is so uncomfortable in this last game,
- 24:07Speaker 4: It's going to be that pressure and they're going to
- 24:09Speaker 4: see exactly what happens last game, and they're going to
- 24:11Speaker 4: bring the heat in the same way.
- 24:13Speaker 2: We are all on the New England Patriots. Let's go
- 24:15Speaker 2: to the Giants and the Cowboys in Dallas. I think
- 24:18Speaker 2: the Cowboys win here twenty three to eight. The Giants
- 24:21Speaker 2: offense so it was a bit of a mess last
- 24:23Speaker 2: week and it puts the coach and I tended to
- 24:26Speaker 2: have eight points sometimes when I don't think an offense
- 24:29Speaker 2: is going to score very much because it's very tough
- 24:32Speaker 2: when you're trying to save jobs. You have a couple
- 24:34Speaker 2: of options. You could win football games. That's one way
- 24:37Speaker 2: to do it. You could have a rookie quarterback that
- 24:39Speaker 2: comes in and looks promising, but you need your veteran
- 24:42Speaker 2: quarterback to look bad enough to put the rookie quarterback in.
- 24:44Speaker 2: And it's this delicate balance of power to put to
- 24:47Speaker 2: do things I see. Meanwhile, over on the other sideline,
- 24:49Speaker 2: the Cowboys. They just want to win. So I will
- 24:53Speaker 2: take the Dallas Cowboys, as we all do. But for
- 24:55Speaker 2: some reason, I have eight points for the New York Times.
- 24:58Speaker 2: We got more coming up here. On game debut. The
- 25:00Speaker 2: Bengals finally got a wake one win, but the offense
- 25:03Speaker 2: was a ground to a halt last week. Just two
- 25:05Speaker 2: catches for Jamar Chase will Burrow and the Bengals offense
- 25:09Speaker 2: get cooking Sunday against the Jags. Find out what the
- 25:12Speaker 2: expert succeeding to my left thing. Coming up next on
- 25:15Speaker 2: game debut, we're back on game review. The NFL International
- 25:26Speaker 2: Games return to NFL Network on September twenty eighth. Six
- 25:29Speaker 2: games four cities Dublin, London, Berlin, and Madrid snooze off
- 25:34Speaker 2: game on for Sunday Morning football only on NFL Network
- 25:38Speaker 2: and also streaming with NFL Plus subscription required for NFL
- 25:42Speaker 2: Plus visit plus dot NFL dot com for term. Yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 2: Greg will actually be either. The Jags will be back
- 25:48Speaker 2: in London to take on the Rams week seven, but
- 25:50Speaker 2: this Sunday they've got the Bengals. Both teams are one
- 25:53Speaker 2: to zero. Who gets to two and oh Grid, I.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Think the Jaguars pull off the upset in this game
- 25:59Speaker 3: twenty seven to twenty two. And I love this show
- 26:03Speaker 3: because we can talk about whatever we want, including a
- 26:05Speaker 3: guy who only had three carries last week. Facial twoton
- 26:08Speaker 3: is gonna be the difference in this game. He looks
- 26:10Speaker 3: so good on his first run last week that they
- 26:13Speaker 3: had to get Tank Pigsby out of town. You can't
- 26:17Speaker 3: even totally tell from this view, but his jump cuts
- 26:22Speaker 3: are so violent and so amazing how he can move
- 26:27Speaker 3: laterally while moving forward. It reminds me a lot of
- 26:30Speaker 3: Joe Mixon in the way that he runs, almost like
- 26:32Speaker 3: a mix between Joe Mixon and young Frank Gore. I
- 26:35Speaker 3: think this kid is so explosive. He's their best running back.
- 26:38Speaker 3: And you look at this Bengals defense, the fact they
- 26:40Speaker 3: gave up over three hundred yards to the Browns in
- 26:42Speaker 3: that group, I am not convinced. I think this Jaguars
- 26:45Speaker 3: team wins.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I also have the Jacksonville Jaguars and I have a
- 26:49Speaker 2: big score thirty five to thirty two and absolute score
- 26:52Speaker 2: fest because yeah, Greg mentioned it. That game against the
- 26:55Speaker 2: Cleveland Browns where Joe Flacco's throwing for two hundred and
- 26:57Speaker 2: ninety yards, He's moved around in the pocket, he's getting
- 26:59Speaker 2: away from defenders, and now they have to deal with
- 27:02Speaker 2: a little bit more of a run and passing attack.
- 27:06Speaker 2: The passing attack that's led by a receiver Brian Thomas Junior,
- 27:09Speaker 2: like Baseiell toot and he didn't have a lot of carriers.
- 27:11Speaker 2: He had one carry. It was a nine yard touchdown
- 27:13Speaker 2: as he got involved in the game. But it just
- 27:15Speaker 2: shows how this new coaching staff would like to utilize him.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I too, think it gets more opportunity through the air
- 27:21Speaker 2: because they're not playing against one of the worst run
- 27:23Speaker 2: defenses in the history of the NFL this week, albeit
- 27:27Speaker 2: still not that great of a defense. Justice for lou Anarroumo,
- 27:30Speaker 2: I've got the Jags.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Well, you can't say justice for Louiennarumo and then tell
- 27:34Speaker 4: them take this the Bengals. But I'm picking the Bengals,
- 27:37Speaker 4: and I'm picking the Bengals in kind of the opposite
- 27:39Speaker 4: of what you guys are saying. You said high scoring
- 27:41Speaker 4: and definitely the Jag side been good running.
- 27:44Speaker 3: I think Jags they look good as a running.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Okay, Well, I'm taking the Bengals and in a lower
- 27:48Speaker 4: than expected scoring game twenty seven to twenty one, which
- 27:52Speaker 4: is fewer than forty nine. Anyways, I'm looking at this game,
- 27:55Speaker 4: and I'm looking at.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Number one, Uno Time. This is all you have to say,
- 27:59Speaker 5: Uno Time.
- 28:00Speaker 4: That means Jamar Chase, Why well, in games after he's
- 28:03Speaker 4: been held under thirty receiving yards, what does he do?
- 28:06Speaker 4: Ninety point three yards is the average and a touchdown.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Also, I don't think they have.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Anyone that matches up against like, are you really taking
- 28:15Speaker 4: the Panthers data and saying, hey.
- 28:18Speaker 5: That's so similar to Joe Burrow, Jamar.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Chase, t Higgins, Mike KASICKI Chase Brown.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Two points saying outscore him a little bit, you know,
- 28:31Speaker 3: I mean that was a bad That was a bad
- 28:33Speaker 3: Bengals offense last week. Negative yardage in the fourth quarter, just.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Their worst offensive output total yards wise since twenty fourteen.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I do think they'll be a little bit better. Burrow
- 28:42Speaker 2: and Lawrence getting wins in week one wasn't a total surprise,
- 28:45Speaker 2: but Danny Dimes carving up the Dolphins that.
- 28:48Speaker 7: Was the second and twenty for the Colts. First play
- 28:53Speaker 7: up the second quarter, Daniel Jones.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Plays at right side. That's line touchdown hit the coach hit.
- 29:00Speaker 6: Junior twenty seven yard beavorit of plee plays past.
- 29:05Speaker 8: By Daniel Jones to Mike Colt Pittman Jr.
- 29:09Speaker 7: Touchdownity what for the Colts.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Jones finished with three touchdowns and no picks and the
- 29:17Speaker 2: Colts win over Miami. Now Indie plays host to the Broncos.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Does he keep dropping Dimes in this one? Cynthia?
- 29:24Speaker 4: I mean, I think maybe I don't like, maybe, you know,
- 29:27Speaker 4: like good touch. I have the Broncos winning this matchup,
- 29:30Speaker 4: not because I don't think that Danny Dimes is gonna
- 29:33Speaker 4: be a good enough quarterback this season, and not because
- 29:35Speaker 4: I discount things that I saw before. But that Broncos
- 29:38Speaker 4: defense is legit. But let's talk about the Broncos offense.
- 29:41Speaker 5: For a second.
- 29:41Speaker 4: Because bo Nicks did something that Sean Payton will not
- 29:43Speaker 4: let him do again.
- 29:44Speaker 5: What does that turn the ball over? Not once, not twice?
- 29:47Speaker 4: Another four freaking moments with turnovers from this offense.
- 29:51Speaker 5: That is not something that Sean Payton will stand for.
- 29:54Speaker 4: That is not something that these Hall of Fame coaches
- 29:57Speaker 4: will allow to happen again. Be it through running the
- 29:59Speaker 4: football which they rushed pretty effectively in that game, or
- 30:03Speaker 4: is it going to be through maybe shorter passes something
- 30:05Speaker 4: that gets everyone back in rhythm. These great coaches and
- 30:08Speaker 4: this opportunity for Bonicks.
- 30:09Speaker 5: We talked about sophomore slump. Okay, maybe this.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Is his sophomore slump, but I think he gets out
- 30:14Speaker 4: of that. And I'm saying this, I feel better about
- 30:16Speaker 4: it because Sarvarius Ward doesn't appear to be playing and
- 30:19Speaker 4: Shreber's work's very good. So when your good defensive players
- 30:22Speaker 4: are not playing, you know, when the good players are
- 30:24Speaker 4: on the field, it's easier when the ball game, but
- 30:26Speaker 4: when the good players are off the field's easy for
- 30:28Speaker 4: the opposing offense too. So Bonick's being the opposing offense
- 30:31Speaker 4: in this scenario.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, Jimmy's and Joe's, not X's and O's. I've got
- 30:34Speaker 2: the Denver Broncos winning as well, twenty five to twenty
- 30:37Speaker 2: Because despite that Bonick's not having a good game, it
- 30:41Speaker 2: was still a serviceable game. Statistically for Courtland Sutton, it
- 30:45Speaker 2: was nothing compared to what Courtland Sutton's game could have
- 30:48Speaker 2: looked like. He wound up having nine targets six catches
- 30:52Speaker 2: for sixty one yards, but not pictured here. There was
- 30:54Speaker 2: a fourth and eight in the fourth quarter where Courtland
- 30:57Speaker 2: Sutton was all alone. There was nobody who within twenty
- 31:00Speaker 2: yards of him. Would have been a walk off touchdown.
- 31:02Speaker 2: No worries about cam Ward. I think Bonnicks will remember that.
- 31:07Speaker 2: It's not like Corton. Sutton was complaining about it, pointing
- 31:09Speaker 2: to it at meetings all week. It bothers bo probably
- 31:12Speaker 2: more than anybody else. But I think the Broncos get
- 31:15Speaker 2: a fairly easy win compared to last week.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Yeah, kind of a weird performance from Boenix. He was
- 31:21Speaker 3: almost like trying to do too much. I don't think
- 31:23Speaker 3: he'll need to this week because his defense will carry him.
- 31:26Speaker 3: I have a nineteen to fifteen defensive struggle win for
- 31:29Speaker 3: the Broncos. I talked about development from your players earlier
- 31:33Speaker 3: in the show. Nick Bernito is one of the best
- 31:36Speaker 3: development stories I think in the entire NFL. Every season
- 31:40Speaker 3: he has added to his game where he is a
- 31:42Speaker 3: complete player. In Week one he led the NFL in
- 31:45Speaker 3: terms of pass rush win rate. And he's coming off
- 31:49Speaker 3: that season where he almost won Defensive Player of the Year,
- 31:51Speaker 3: and he gets the contract and he looked even better
- 31:53Speaker 3: in Week one and then I also had an eye
- 31:55Speaker 3: on their second cornerback, Riley Moss, who is carrying a
- 31:59Speaker 3: nation of white cornerbacks on his back. He is trying
- 32:03Speaker 3: to change the game to open the minds of high
- 32:06Speaker 3: school and college coaches out there. His success is very important.
- 32:11Speaker 3: And he struggled little injured last year, great the year before.
- 32:14Speaker 3: He was balling out last week. So let's go Riley Moss.
- 32:18Speaker 3: This defense is getting it done.
- 32:20Speaker 4: You know who coached a white cornerback, well, Stuart Schweger,
- 32:23Speaker 4: White defensive back Luanna Rumo.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Did they come on?
- 32:27Speaker 2: It all comes back, So it all comes back to
- 32:29Speaker 2: lu and yes, Filey Moss. We were all counting on me.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Love my defensive back.
- 32:32Speaker 2: It's Tom for Who's Eating Good? Presented by Applebee's Cynthia Tyler.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Warren is your top projected tight end this week? Will
- 32:40Speaker 2: we have more than four catches in this game?
- 32:42Speaker 5: Four? That's ridiculous.
- 32:44Speaker 4: I have him for six and fifty nine yards. He's
- 32:46Speaker 4: my number one ranked tight end. Wow, the opportunity him
- 32:49Speaker 4: on checkdowns, I.
- 32:50Speaker 5: Think they're going to make it very hard.
- 32:52Speaker 4: You talk about the one level is Drake green Law playing?
- 32:54Speaker 4: We don't really know.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Maybe that linebacker level could be an area of they target.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Don't you think it's unfair that Danny dimes of all
- 33:00Speaker 3: people as such a cool nickname like it couldn't be
- 33:03Speaker 3: Herbert or Jordan Love. It actually drops like tons of
- 33:07Speaker 3: dis like it's the best nick is.
- 33:09Speaker 2: His teammate Darius Slayton put that on him a long
- 33:11Speaker 2: time ago, and it's stuck twenty five yard line Himpty backfield,
- 33:15Speaker 2: Baker Bayfield, He's got Bucky You ever gonna slot receiver
- 33:19Speaker 2: to his left takes a belt high snap, looks looks
- 33:21Speaker 2: those of all toward the Angel receiver.
- 33:23Speaker 3: That's a cod ball touchdown.
- 33:25Speaker 8: Tampa Bay up knacka up Bouka Well, the defender all
- 33:28Speaker 8: over him.
- 33:29Speaker 7: Pete breaks the crabb of the end zone. The Bucks
- 33:31Speaker 7: takes a lead.
- 33:33Speaker 2: The Bucks and the Texans part of the Monday night doubleheader.
- 33:36Speaker 2: It's Baker versus Stroud. We saw the coverage being wrong
- 33:39Speaker 2: on a Mecca Buka. Do the Houston Texans greg cover
- 33:42Speaker 2: the Bucks a little bit better than the Falcons.
- 33:44Speaker 3: They not only do that, but they cover two and
- 33:46Speaker 3: a half points and they win this game by six.
- 33:50Speaker 3: You talk about the disastrous Texans offensive line, I'll give
- 33:53Speaker 3: you that. How about the Bucks offensive line. Let's check
- 33:56Speaker 3: the notes. Last week they had their center go to
- 33:59Speaker 3: left tackle at the last second. That's not good. Then
- 34:03Speaker 3: the previous guard goes to center. You have to put
- 34:07Speaker 3: a new guard in. And then this week their right
- 34:10Speaker 3: tackle got hurt. And when you watch this footage, what
- 34:13Speaker 3: do you see, Cynthia. A discombobulated offensive line where the
- 34:18Speaker 3: running game stunk against Atlanta and you got to go
- 34:21Speaker 3: against this Houston Texans pass rush and run defense. I
- 34:25Speaker 3: think it's the best defense just about in the league.
- 34:27Speaker 3: I think they played great against the Rams last week
- 34:29Speaker 3: and that defense will carry them to a win.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I agree, Greg, I've got a twenty one to seventeen
- 34:34Speaker 2: win for the Houston Texans on the strength of that
- 34:37Speaker 2: pass rush. And we saw just a couple of plays
- 34:40Speaker 2: that are exemplary of the way that they can bother
- 34:43Speaker 2: a really good quarterback in Matthew Stafford. Will He had
- 34:45Speaker 2: a chance to do that against Baker Mayfield. As look
- 34:48Speaker 2: at the speed off the edge for Will Anderson Junior.
- 34:51Speaker 2: There was a play against the Rams where there was
- 34:54Speaker 2: a bad snapper goes out with Matthew Stafford said he's
- 34:56Speaker 2: close to the ball, and then all of a sudden
- 34:57Speaker 2: Bill Anderson Junior teleports basically to him, and Greg mentioned
- 35:01Speaker 2: the shifts and the changes up front on the Bucks
- 35:04Speaker 2: off offensive line. They're going on the road to Houston.
- 35:06Speaker 2: That's tough. So I'm going to give the Texans a
- 35:08Speaker 2: twenty one to seventeen win or something.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Well, I surprise myself with this one too, because I
- 35:12Speaker 4: have the Bucks winning this one, twenty two to twenty.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Everyone loves the twenty two. There's that time number. It's
- 35:18Speaker 4: a beautiful song, isn't it. That's a pee this I
- 35:20Speaker 4: don't mind. It's it's it's a road team. It's like
- 35:22Speaker 4: an upset. The model's got some guts.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Greg's great in your pick. Since how does that make
- 35:26Speaker 2: you feel?
- 35:27Speaker 5: I like it? You can great, away, Greg grt Away.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Listen when I'm looking at this one and I'm looking
- 35:31Speaker 4: at the impact of a Mike Guga. By the way,
- 35:34Speaker 4: Chris Godwin may play what what's going on? But I'm
- 35:37Speaker 4: looking at those inbreakers and what happened last week.
- 35:41Speaker 5: When something works and you go back to it and.
- 35:43Speaker 4: It keeps working, that's kind of a smart thing to
- 35:46Speaker 4: do by a coach.
- 35:47Speaker 5: Obviously their offensive coordinator. You know, we know he's new.
- 35:50Speaker 5: We get it, We've heard this before, but did you
- 35:53Speaker 5: know that Joshua's art. He's like an Ivy League educated guy,
- 35:57Speaker 5: so he's going to be smart. We like that. But
- 35:59Speaker 5: ultimately I liked watching what Aguka was able to do
- 36:02Speaker 5: again on those inbreakers.
- 36:04Speaker 4: They found something that worked, they figured out how to
- 36:06Speaker 4: have it keep working, and that to me like this,
- 36:09Speaker 4: take something something when it's there. They will have those
- 36:12Speaker 4: opportunities against the Houston I love the Houston defense.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Let me be clear.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Do I love the O line playing that little game
- 36:19Speaker 4: of like find the football that they play? No, I
- 36:22Speaker 4: don't like that either, But I think that this is
- 36:24Speaker 4: something where Baker Mayfield and the running back situation with Buggie,
- 36:26Speaker 4: even if it doesn't look good for his fantasy stats,
- 36:28Speaker 4: it's going to work out for them in their favor.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Resard starts too, and oh you could start the I
- 36:32Speaker 2: coached under Todd Bowles coach watch to go on, and
- 36:35Speaker 2: the Buccaneers have another offensive coordinator. Let's get two quick
- 36:39Speaker 2: picks here on game debut, Browns and Ravens. Is there
- 36:41Speaker 2: any chance Baltimore drops this one? Starts oh and two
- 36:44Speaker 2: for the second year to Rows.
- 36:45Speaker 5: In view absolutely not.
- 36:46Speaker 4: I think Baltimore not only win, but they win big,
- 36:48Speaker 4: twenty nine to seventeen. I know Greg's a little post
- 36:51Speaker 4: of that margin, but Derrick Henry is still on this team, right.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Derrick Henry is probably one of those people who he
- 36:57Speaker 4: thinks about the end of that game and he's like,
- 36:59Speaker 4: I need to run for two fifty yards just to
- 37:02Speaker 4: make up for any perception of not doing as much
- 37:05Speaker 4: as I possibly could.
- 37:07Speaker 5: Derek Harry's one of my favorite players. He's gonna have.
- 37:09Speaker 5: I think he's gonna have a two thousand yard rushing season,
- 37:11Speaker 5: especially with this story. I just try to try to
- 37:13Speaker 5: tackle him my dare. Yeah, it's not gonna want.
- 37:15Speaker 2: He's putting the loss on himself. After the loss in Buffalo,
- 37:19Speaker 2: Let's go to the forty nine ers in the Saints.
- 37:20Speaker 2: George Kittle and Brock Purdy are out so great. It's
- 37:23Speaker 2: Mac Jones season. Is that enough to get to win
- 37:25Speaker 2: for the Niners on the road?
- 37:27Speaker 3: I think it is. You ever hear those stories about
- 37:29Speaker 3: like a couple in high school, maybe they have like
- 37:32Speaker 3: a little bit of a fling, but it doesn't work out.
- 37:34Speaker 3: They move on with their lives for years and years,
- 37:37Speaker 3: and then they reconnect years later and suddenly they start
- 37:41Speaker 3: making sweet sweet love or football whatever it is. Mac Jones,
- 37:46Speaker 3: he's that man for Kyle Shanahan. It's all he ever wanted,
- 37:51Speaker 3: was Mac Jones in this offense. I think it's gonna
- 37:54Speaker 3: happen this week. Mac plays the best football that he's
- 37:57Speaker 3: ever played. They get the win.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the best ever had the answers of the Carvels,
- 38:03Speaker 2: the tinal short things. When Bryce said, Kyler meet up.
- 38:07Speaker 2: I will take the Cardinals in this one twenty five
- 38:10Speaker 2: to twenty four. And this one, essentially it comes down
- 38:12Speaker 2: to the Carolina Panthers in their commitment to stopping the run.
- 38:16Speaker 2: It was a historic season last year in giving up
- 38:19Speaker 2: the run and a great opportunity for both Trey Benson
- 38:23Speaker 2: as well as James Connor to make sweet sweet yardage
- 38:26Speaker 2: against this Carolina Panthers defense. As we just a really
- 38:31Speaker 2: we love football, We love club Sunday at nine am Eastern,
- 38:35Speaker 2: joined Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Steve Mariucci, and Cynthia Freeland
- 38:39Speaker 2: getting you ready for kickoff. Kyle brimp sits down with
- 38:42Speaker 2: Joe Burrow. Kimmy Checks connects with Eagles corner Cooper Magen
- 38:46Speaker 2: and a live interview with Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald.
- 38:49Speaker 2: All that and more Sunday at nine am Eastern time.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Time for us to get pen and paper. It is
- 38:56Speaker 2: write this down here on Game day View. Spicy predictions
- 38:59Speaker 2: for Week two. Fire us up, great.
- 39:01Speaker 3: See mine's not that spicy. It's the most obvious easy
- 39:03Speaker 3: way to be right on Sunday you could possibly have.
- 39:06Speaker 3: It's Kayshawn Booty two and a half receptions going over
- 39:11Speaker 3: on Sunday. I'm going to ask you guys a question. Okay, okay,
- 39:14Speaker 3: would you guys agree that going over one hundred receiving
- 39:17Speaker 3: yards is a good measure of being excellent at football,
- 39:19Speaker 3: especially catching the football good? I think it's amazing. Would
- 39:23Speaker 3: you name me the wide receivers who have had over
- 39:27Speaker 3: one hundred yards in Week eighteen last year, in Week
- 39:30Speaker 3: eighteen or Week one this year? The only wide receiver
- 39:33Speaker 3: give me the name Kashan Boody. I don't know why
- 39:35Speaker 3: I made this a quiz. It's Kayshaan and Booty.
- 39:37Speaker 2: It would be weird if it wasn't it was.
- 39:39Speaker 3: He's the number one receiver on the Patriots. He's the
- 39:41Speaker 3: best receiver on the Patriots. It would be really weird
- 39:43Speaker 3: at this point if it wasn't.
- 39:45Speaker 4: Okay, we're bad at making quizes, I mean whatever, So
- 39:48Speaker 4: I'm looking at this one. I'm I'm gonna take something
- 39:50Speaker 4: that's very easy. But like all lines fans want to happen,
- 39:53Speaker 4: it's Jami or Gibbs having a touchdown at any time
- 39:56Speaker 4: of the game in any way possible.
- 39:57Speaker 5: Three year other, I don't care, it doesn't matter.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Just score a touchdown against the Bears. I think they
- 40:02Speaker 4: have to get the run unon going. This will be
- 40:03Speaker 4: a full point. There are some ways to do it.
- 40:06Speaker 4: They saw it last week. They put it on film.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Timir Gibbs touchdown easy.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Yeah, look again, Henry know that their run game was
- 40:13Speaker 3: free last week.
- 40:14Speaker 4: Oh we got to talk about Kaishawn Booty and you're
- 40:16Speaker 4: I'm saying like there.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Was a lot of pressure in the backfield. The top
- 40:21Speaker 3: two and a half catches for four straight games.
- 40:23Speaker 2: The pressures on the new Jersey number is he hasn't
- 40:25Speaker 2: gotten the end zone with that zero. Got to break
- 40:28Speaker 2: the seal again in there online. I'm gonna go a
- 40:30Speaker 2: little bit more difficult. Joe Flacco throwing for over two
- 40:35Speaker 2: hundred and fifty yards in his first game. Joe Flacco
- 40:38Speaker 2: has not played back in Baltimore since his departure, and
- 40:43Speaker 2: so it's not necessarily a revenge. Joe has come out
- 40:45Speaker 2: and clearly said he loved his time there, But after
- 40:48Speaker 2: watching the Ravens defense in the fourth quarter and seeing
- 40:52Speaker 2: perhaps how limited the Browns can be on the ground,
- 40:54Speaker 2: I think there's a great opportunity for Joe Flacco to
- 40:57Speaker 2: go over two fifty against the Baltimore rankingses, We've got
- 41:01Speaker 2: options for you to write things down exactly, including you know,
- 41:04Speaker 2: letters to long lost loves.
- 41:05Speaker 3: That's that's the real revenge is the Browns going in
- 41:08Speaker 3: there in Baltimore and beating the teammate stole their franchises.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Oh wow, We'll see how all these things go. We'll
- 41:14Speaker 2: see you next week. Thanks for watching Game Day.
