- 2:48Speaker 5: through TikTok and I'm like, you know, checking out books
- 2:53Speaker 5: and authors, and his story just stood out to me.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Is like the fact that he was like, look, I'm
- 2:57Speaker 5: gonna keep on making a due with the dude, and
- 2:59Speaker 5: I'm gonna make a name myself. And I'm like, why
- 3:02Speaker 5: does this man look familiar? And then I look at

- 4:14Speaker 5: Awesome. So welcome to sc book, gals and friends, and
- 4:19Speaker 5: I thank you for being with me tonight. How are you?
- 4:25Speaker 4: I'm doing good? How you doing? I'm good?
- 4:28Speaker 5: So before we go any father, please tell us a
- 4:31Speaker 5: little bit about yourself.
- 4:34Speaker 4: I go by author Cole.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I am.
- 4:38Speaker 6: He I call myself a writer. I don't want to
- 4:41Speaker 6: box myself in because I'm not limited to just one genre.
- 4:46Speaker 6: But I am a Clurksfield, Tendessee native, so I'm putting
- 4:49Speaker 6: on for my city always, and this year I've published
- 4:56Speaker 6: thirteen books so far, with the plan to publish one
- 4:59Speaker 6: more before the end of the year.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Hold them now, I mean, you got about three weeks.
- 5:05Speaker 5: You got something you're about to bring out in three weeks.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm always writing what I'm talking about.
- 5:14Speaker 5: So what made you want to become a writer?
- 5:20Speaker 6: I mean I very first started writing like poetry music
- 5:26Speaker 6: as a kid because I was in a juvenile facility
- 5:30Speaker 6: growing up, so I kind of needed something to like release,
- 5:35Speaker 6: So of course I got as an angry kid, I
- 5:38Speaker 6: put it in music first, and then that kind of
- 5:43Speaker 6: I kind of expressed myself through poetry. But when it
- 5:47Speaker 6: comes to books, I was incarcerated in and out honestly
- 5:55Speaker 6: all the way till twenty twenty two. But in twenty
- 5:58Speaker 6: fifteen I was down like serving more on my twenty
- 6:03Speaker 6: three year sentence, and we only had a limited number
- 6:09Speaker 6: of books by black authors and other inmates around me.
- 6:14Speaker 6: We felt like the true streets wasn't really presented in
- 6:20Speaker 6: those books like if they was there was like a
- 6:22Speaker 6: far fetched way or wasn't really like our story. So
- 6:26Speaker 6: like we were sitting around talking about some of them
- 6:28Speaker 6: one day and I was like, man, I could do better,
- 6:31Speaker 6: and they challenged me to do that. So I went
- 6:35Speaker 6: to my cell that night and I started working on
- 6:37Speaker 6: my very first book, called The Bottom, and I just
- 6:40Speaker 6: went I just based the story off the things I experience,
- 6:44Speaker 6: like being in the street life. I just applied it
- 6:48Speaker 6: to it, and like stuff plays in my head like
- 6:51Speaker 6: a movie or like a TV show, So I literally just.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Daydream it out and write it down in the way
- 6:58Speaker 4: that I hear it or see it.
- 7:00Speaker 6: So I had a homeboy who came to my cell
- 7:03Speaker 6: the next day and like back then, I used to
- 7:07Speaker 6: write it and kind of like grab the typewriter and
- 7:10Speaker 6: type it up or whatever.
- 7:12Speaker 4: So he was pulling off the typewriter and reading it.
- 7:15Speaker 4: He was like, man, this shit dope.
- 7:17Speaker 6: So at that time, I'm thinking like he just playing
- 7:20Speaker 6: because like we like to like boost people's heads up
- 7:23Speaker 6: when we locked up, like we might hear somebody wrapping,
- 7:26Speaker 6: but like, yeah you got all bars, or like see
- 7:28Speaker 6: him hooping, be like yeah you the coders hoo. Whoever,
- 7:31Speaker 6: like just on some playing shit, so I ain't really
- 7:34Speaker 6: believe them. But the next day I knew. I knew
- 7:37Speaker 6: everybody was like coming to my cell trying to pay
- 7:39Speaker 6: me noodles and bags of coffee to read it, you
- 7:42Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. So I kind of just kept
- 7:43Speaker 6: going from there.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Okay, So did you publish your books while you weren't
- 7:50Speaker 5: across to read it or did you wait until you
- 7:52Speaker 5: got it? Nah?
- 7:53Speaker 4: I stacked him up.
- 7:54Speaker 6: H I wrote thirty three books while I was locked
- 7:57Speaker 6: up during that eight year bid right there. So once
- 8:03Speaker 6: I got out, though I had, I was gone from
- 8:05Speaker 6: the street so long that I focused on like my
- 8:08Speaker 6: parole stuff I had to do because I went to
- 8:10Speaker 6: a halfway house at first when I got out, so
- 8:12Speaker 6: I didn't have like access to stuff. And then I
- 8:16Speaker 6: wanted to work on, like my relationship with my kids
- 8:19Speaker 6: since I missed so much time, had to focus on
- 8:21Speaker 6: getting a job. So I just started publishing this year.
- 8:26Speaker 6: I believe January something was when I first put out
- 8:32Speaker 6: my first book this year.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Okay, so how hard is it? Well, let's back up.
- 8:41Speaker 5: Let's back up, because this question is in my mind mine.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Do you want to be called an author or would
- 8:48Speaker 5: you rather be called a writer?
- 8:56Speaker 4: I mean, I'm a writer, honestly.
- 9:00Speaker 6: I guess there are term of be an author obamba
- 9:02Speaker 6: writer though, like I like all things that deal with
- 9:05Speaker 6: expression and whether it's music or like I was in
- 9:11Speaker 6: playwright too.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I was a playwriter.
- 9:12Speaker 6: I had plays published while I was incarcerated, because I
- 9:17Speaker 6: mean I learned how to write comedy plays that were
- 9:20Speaker 6: done on live stages.
- 9:23Speaker 4: While I was behind the fence, you know. So there's
- 9:26Speaker 4: no limit to what I can do.
- 9:29Speaker 6: If I can, if I could put a story or
- 9:32Speaker 6: bring entertainment in it, then I'm gonna write it.
- 9:36Speaker 5: So oh wow. So I mean that wasn't anything that
- 9:42Speaker 5: was in your way. You just kept going and plugging through.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I had to.
- 9:47Speaker 6: I had to keep out my occupied you know, in there,
- 9:51Speaker 6: like when I first got locked up, like I was
- 9:53Speaker 6: with the prison politics. You know, I was still heavily
- 9:57Speaker 6: involved in a game, and like those the politics went
- 10:00Speaker 6: on when I first got there. But it was a
- 10:03Speaker 6: phone call with my daughter that I had where I
- 10:07Speaker 6: heard that she was stealing and then I asked her
- 10:10Speaker 6: why she was stealing, and she was like, so I
- 10:11Speaker 6: could be in there with you, so after I got
- 10:13Speaker 6: off the phone that day, I told everybody I'm done
- 10:16Speaker 6: with that shit, you know, and I just locked in.
- 10:19Speaker 6: I knew I needed something to still release, you know
- 10:23Speaker 6: what I'm saying. So I was like, well, I'm not
- 10:24Speaker 6: gonna be in the streets, but I'm gonna live them
- 10:26Speaker 6: out in these stories though, So I just started writing
- 10:30Speaker 6: the stories to escape the prison.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Stood.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Wow, I can see how that can change it.
- 10:40Speaker 4: I really do.
- 10:42Speaker 5: But this cover, because we're about to bring up this book,
- 10:45Speaker 5: cup and y'all know me, y'all know I'm a book
- 10:47Speaker 5: cover girl. If you cover tracks me, it's going to
- 10:50Speaker 5: go in there be readless. So first of all, how
- 10:55Speaker 5: did you pronounce the title? I do not want to
- 10:59Speaker 5: butcher it.
- 11:02Speaker 4: I'll do Katie Mile mhm.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Well, the cover is done by Telena. That's my go
- 11:21Speaker 6: to lady right now probably forever. She'll get onto me.
- 11:26Speaker 4: But when I wrote this, I wrote this this year,
- 11:30Speaker 4: right So when I came out, I was like, I want.
- 11:33Speaker 6: To put a book out every month. And I had
- 11:38Speaker 6: Tasha Marie, who is like my only ARC reader that
- 11:42Speaker 6: I have. I sent her all my stories before I
- 11:44Speaker 6: publish him, and she was like, you should do a motorcycle.
- 11:51Speaker 6: Uh no, she's the expecting book wrecks on TikTok Tasha
- 11:56Speaker 6: Marie on Facebook.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Uh just like I call her. She like my family.
- 12:03Speaker 6: So she was like, you should do a book about
- 12:07Speaker 6: Moorcycle Club. And I don't like doing I don't like
- 12:10Speaker 6: writing stuff that I'm not experienced with, you know. So
- 12:13Speaker 6: I was hesitant, but I was like, Okay, I'll challenge myself.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I'll do it. And at that time, all I knew
- 12:20Speaker 4: was like the biker.
- 12:20Speaker 6: Boys, sons and anarchy and the Mayans. That's the only
- 12:23Speaker 6: Mortcycle stuff I knew. But at the time when I
- 12:27Speaker 6: started writing it, I had like some stuff going on
- 12:31Speaker 6: with people close to me, you know, like where I
- 12:33Speaker 6: felt like they was like betrayed, betraying me or whatever
- 12:36Speaker 6: and didn't really want.
- 12:37Speaker 4: To see me, you know, shine or anything.
- 12:40Speaker 6: So I was like, well, I'm gonna just write this
- 12:41Speaker 6: character Deuce, where he got people against him, you know
- 12:45Speaker 6: what I'm saying. So he's the leader of the Ducati mob,
- 12:50Speaker 6: but he's got snakes in his ranks. He's and it
- 12:53Speaker 6: seems like the whole city is against him because Deuce
- 12:57Speaker 6: isn't like other street dudes, like he doesn't want to
- 13:00Speaker 6: make his come up by selling dope. He does it
- 13:03Speaker 6: by like heist, you know, he's a jack boy whatever
- 13:07Speaker 6: I would say. So the people and the crew don't
- 13:11Speaker 6: like that because they want fast money. They feel like
- 13:13Speaker 6: they'll get faster money from the dope game or wherever.
- 13:16Speaker 6: But he's highly against it because his parents. He feels
- 13:20Speaker 6: his parents' downfall was the dope. He had a mother
- 13:23Speaker 6: who overdose, saying, he had a father who went to
- 13:26Speaker 6: prison and end up getting killed behind the dope game.
- 13:32Speaker 6: So that's not his thing and he won't do it,
- 13:36Speaker 6: and he has to fight against all these crews and
- 13:39Speaker 6: stuff because he won't allow it to happen in his state.
- 13:44Speaker 6: Like he's not letting nothing get distributed through his state.
- 13:48Speaker 6: So it's really other crews coming at him and the
- 13:51Speaker 6: people in his own ranks coming at him, you know
- 13:53Speaker 6: that he don't even know about.
- 14:11Speaker 4: I mean, I wasn't sure what the outcome would be.
- 14:17Speaker 6: I just I just carried it the same way that
- 14:20Speaker 6: I did my other books, like I put all the
- 14:23Speaker 6: authenticity in there, you know, because at the same time,
- 14:26Speaker 6: even though I don't I've never been in a moorcycle,
- 14:30Speaker 6: prow or whatever. I've been in the game, so I
- 14:33Speaker 6: know how that operate. So I just applied those experiences
- 14:38Speaker 6: in life to doce, you know.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Uh.
- 14:41Speaker 6: And then I used dou Katie Mob to address situations
- 14:45Speaker 6: in the book community. So if something was going on
- 14:47Speaker 6: at the time, now I'm writing it, I'm gonna talk
- 14:49Speaker 6: about it in there, you know, because this is my
- 14:51Speaker 6: platform to express myself through my writing, So people gonna
- 14:56Speaker 6: know how I feel about a situation. And I wanted
- 14:59Speaker 6: it to be like I wrote it like a TV show,
- 15:02Speaker 6: so it's short, you know, novella's that play like like
- 15:08Speaker 6: TV episodes in the head So.
- 15:12Speaker 5: Okay, okay, how did you come up with Dakati? Where
- 15:16Speaker 5: where did that come from? That's very unique?
- 15:19Speaker 6: So like, like, even though I've never been on more Crew,
- 15:22Speaker 6: my favorite motorcycle is the Dukati. I don't know how
- 15:26Speaker 6: pronounce the name, but like a pangara, I know to
- 15:30Speaker 6: start with a peak, you know. So that's my favorite bike,
- 15:33Speaker 6: and red and black is my favorite color. So it
- 15:38Speaker 6: was kind of easy, honestly, just to come up with
- 15:42Speaker 6: the Dukatti Mob squad pretty much.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Okay, okay, you guys, I am so sorry, but just
- 15:49Speaker 5: it's kicking my nerves so I was keep on moving
- 15:55Speaker 5: and I was trying to hide him. And it's like, so,
- 15:58Speaker 5: how did you feel when you publish your first book.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I felt.
- 16:05Speaker 6: I felt green, you know, because I ain't know what
- 16:07Speaker 6: I was doing, like very when I first published it
- 16:10Speaker 6: too the streets, it was it was an eight y ten.
- 16:14Speaker 6: It wasn't like formatted, I guess correctly, and I mean
- 16:20Speaker 6: it was just I mean, you could see my inexperience
- 16:23Speaker 6: in it. But at the same time, I felt good
- 16:26Speaker 6: because I'm like, for me, it was alreadysed success to
- 16:30Speaker 6: me because no matter who read it or not, my
- 16:34Speaker 6: goal when I got out of prison was that I
- 16:36Speaker 6: was going to do something with all the books I
- 16:38Speaker 6: wrote while I was in there, so putting it, publishing it,
- 16:43Speaker 6: regardless if it gainered, garnered any traction or anything, I
- 16:47Speaker 6: already felt the success like I did something because I
- 16:51Speaker 6: didn't do it for nothing, you know, so the work
- 16:54Speaker 6: I did in prison.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Didn't go to waste at the end of the day.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Wow, you just said so much that I commend you
- 17:08Speaker 5: because a lot of people will be highly upset that
- 17:11Speaker 5: it didn't take any traction, and it's like they'll give up,
- 17:15Speaker 5: but you kept on pounding and you are you say,
- 17:18Speaker 5: thirteen books.
- 17:19Speaker 4: In yes this year?
- 17:21Speaker 6: Yeah, six of them are Six of them are the
- 17:26Speaker 6: thirty three I wrote, but all the rest are our
- 17:30Speaker 6: new stuff.
- 17:33Speaker 4: So are you going to go.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Back and you know, release some of those ones that
- 17:37Speaker 5: you have sitting in there?
- 17:39Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah, they're all stacked up in the closets.
- 17:41Speaker 6: So, like, I tried to grab two of them and
- 17:45Speaker 6: type them up, because that's all I mean, this is
- 17:47Speaker 6: how they all look, you know, their on pen and
- 17:49Speaker 6: papers is what I do. So I'll write all my
- 17:53Speaker 6: stories on paper first, and then now it's just me
- 17:56Speaker 6: typing them up, you know.
- 17:58Speaker 4: But then I'll get inspired to do something else.
- 18:01Speaker 6: So then I'm working on, Like I got five things
- 18:04Speaker 6: I'm working on right now because I'm just inspired by
- 18:07Speaker 6: different things every day, you know. But I try to
- 18:11Speaker 6: work on my old stuff too because I do want
- 18:13Speaker 6: to get all of them out, you know. And I
- 18:15Speaker 6: got people that be like, well, let me type them
- 18:17Speaker 6: for you.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Nah.
- 18:18Speaker 6: That's like my that's my process right there. When I
- 18:21Speaker 6: get to go back and look at them, I could
- 18:23Speaker 6: add stuff in or like take stuff out.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Okay, okay, So do you see your growth? How does
- 18:34Speaker 5: it feel to actually see the growth from book one
- 18:37Speaker 5: to book thirteen.
- 18:40Speaker 4: I definitely see the growth.
- 18:42Speaker 6: That's why I tell people I don't really care too
- 18:46Speaker 6: much to change anything like in my first books that
- 18:50Speaker 6: I wrote, because I want people to see how I've
- 18:54Speaker 6: grown as a writer, you know what I'm saying. So
- 18:56Speaker 6: if you've picked up New to the Streets or the
- 18:59Speaker 6: Bottom and you read those, but then you come over
- 19:01Speaker 6: here to do Scotti Mob or Love, you see I'm
- 19:07Speaker 6: very different from where I started at because I've learned
- 19:11Speaker 6: as I went and new experiences have happened to make
- 19:13Speaker 6: the stories better, you know. So it definitely, I mean
- 19:17Speaker 6: I like it. It's not something I can see myself
- 19:21Speaker 6: not doing.
- 19:22Speaker 5: You know. Okay, So I don't think you remember or
- 19:27Speaker 5: you might have that I told you. We have these
- 19:29Speaker 5: fun questions that always has to deal with music and.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Acting.
- 19:37Speaker 5: Okay, okay, my friend, let's start here. You mean, what
- 19:44Speaker 5: is your favorite character in Ducatti Mob?
- 19:49Speaker 4: Your favorite Deuce?
- 19:54Speaker 5: Okay? So Deuce is an old school rapper.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Who would he be?
- 20:04Speaker 5: And why.
- 20:07Speaker 4: A school? I say Nas? Because Nas?
- 20:12Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, Nas came out like he's from the streets,
- 20:17Speaker 6: but he got a message, you know, for the world
- 20:20Speaker 6: and induces from the streets, saying like, regardless of what
- 20:25Speaker 6: he do, he has like good intentions for people. You know,
- 20:32Speaker 6: he's not a person that's he's not honoring or like grimy,
- 20:38Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. So I feel like Nas
- 20:41Speaker 6: is that type of rapper from back in the day,
- 20:45Speaker 6: you know, like you don't hear nas and scandals and
- 20:47Speaker 6: stuff like that.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Like he's a genuine dude, you know what.
- 20:52Speaker 5: You are totally right, because I am the only time
- 20:56Speaker 5: I've ever heard of them being in and then it
- 20:58Speaker 5: wasn't even the scandals divorce. Other than that, it's like
- 21:05Speaker 5: everybody gets the doors. Okay, So I understand that there
- 21:11Speaker 5: is the character by the name of Stormy in this book. Yes,
- 21:19Speaker 5: tell us a little bit about Stormy.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Oh that bad?
- 21:26Speaker 6: So Stormy like explaining right, because everybody that knows me
- 21:32Speaker 6: in the book community like they don't want to be
- 21:35Speaker 6: a character in my book, you know.
- 21:37Speaker 4: So Stormy is on like she's a friend, like she's
- 21:42Speaker 4: my people go on TikTok.
- 21:43Speaker 6: But like we had like a back and forth, you know,
- 21:46Speaker 6: I was like I want to throw you in the book,
- 21:49Speaker 6: and she challenged me, and I was like, I'm gonna
- 21:52Speaker 6: make you the character that don't nobody like, I'm gonna
- 21:55Speaker 6: make you the worst character in the book, you know.
- 21:58Speaker 6: And she she's like, well pretty much bed like called
- 22:01Speaker 6: me out. So I wrote Stormy thinking about like my
- 22:06Speaker 6: honor as baby mama. Everybody knows the story of my
- 22:09Speaker 6: big mama that snitched on me, you know what I'm saying.
- 22:12Speaker 4: So I thought about her out through her and her,
- 22:16Speaker 4: I just thought about, like the the worst.
- 22:20Speaker 6: Woman I could think about doing the most honoring shit,
- 22:24Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, to do like multiple dudes though,
- 22:27Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. She a manipulator. She thinks
- 22:29Speaker 6: she a puppet master, you know, and and it catches
- 22:34Speaker 6: up with her. So yeah, that's Stormy.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Remind me to never leave a bad review. I would
- 22:43Speaker 5: not want to be in them.
- 22:45Speaker 4: I don't even don't. I don't check reviews and nothing.
- 22:49Speaker 6: It usually be like the people who like and dukai
- 22:53Speaker 6: my six, Like I went after the people that had
- 22:54Speaker 6: something to say about black Romance book fits, and like five,
- 22:57Speaker 6: it was the public situation pulling out the books, the
- 23:04Speaker 6: book event going on, you know how they pulled their sponsorship,
- 23:08Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. Like four, what four was
- 23:12Speaker 6: about the the white lady who stole the idea of
- 23:16Speaker 6: the bookmark person, you know what I'm saying, And then
- 23:20Speaker 6: and then try to act like she didn't. You know
- 23:21Speaker 6: what I'm saying. So I checked issues in the book community.
- 23:25Speaker 6: I don't play about authors. I don't play about if
- 23:28Speaker 6: they talk about Jacque well j. I don't play about
- 23:30Speaker 6: my goat.
- 23:31Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. So I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 23:33Speaker 4: talk bad. They're gonna be a chapter.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Okay, he said it's gonna be a chapter. So now
- 23:41Speaker 5: we got Stormy. What actress would please Stormy?
- 23:45Speaker 2: And why?
- 23:47Speaker 4: Oh, it definitely gotta be one that character people hate
- 23:51Speaker 4: all the time.
- 23:53Speaker 6: I say, no, I don't know, ain't but the one
- 24:00Speaker 6: from Daddy's Little Girls, the mama Tasha or what she's Tasha?
- 24:05Speaker 6: And why did I get married and stuff? Realma's yeah,
- 24:10Speaker 6: her real name is Tasha though, yeah her. But this
- 24:20Speaker 6: is definitely Stormy, cause man, she's she's terrible. She play
- 24:24Speaker 6: a villain perfectly, you know what I'm saying. Like I
- 24:27Speaker 6: hated her so much and they little Girls, and I
- 24:30Speaker 6: hate the way like she'd be talking back to Marcus
- 24:33Speaker 6: and and all that.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Like she's she's perfect, you know.
- 24:39Speaker 5: So Tasha Smith. All right, so you know how Lifetime
- 24:48Speaker 5: is on this new thing. They like to meet books
- 24:50Speaker 5: in the movies, right. They picked up your book and said,
- 24:53Speaker 5: you know what, we can't do this, but we're gonna
- 24:57Speaker 5: give this the black channel, all black. Who would you want? Two? No,
- 25:04Speaker 5: let's back this up. What would be the title track
- 25:07Speaker 5: for your book? To copy?
- 25:09Speaker 4: Mom? The title track? The title track?
- 25:15Speaker 6: And I've made playlists for it too, so it's like, uh, hum,
- 25:20Speaker 6: it would be a Wayne song though, that for sure.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Uh.
- 25:25Speaker 6: Uh A little.
- 25:26Speaker 5: I would have not thought that. I would have never
- 25:28Speaker 5: thought you would have said, a.
- 25:29Speaker 6: Little wing, Yeah, it's gonna be a it's gonna be
- 25:32Speaker 6: a probably probably have some music because because.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Just wanted his money. Man, he just wanted his money.
- 25:41Speaker 5: Okay, so now we said little wind, I would have
- 25:47Speaker 5: I would have thought the song between him and what's
- 25:51Speaker 5: the one who does him in t pain? Whether they
- 25:56Speaker 5: got moneys, win got money? Yes, I would have thought, now.
- 26:01Speaker 6: Nah, that's too that's too powerful, and what if it one?
- 26:04Speaker 6: How some music would have been a block aside.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Oh okay, I can see that all right. So now
- 26:13Speaker 5: we have your title track, we have your actor, your actress.
- 26:17Speaker 5: But you know what they said. You know what, because
- 26:19Speaker 5: they adore your story and they see you they want
- 26:24Speaker 5: others to see. Who would you give the opportunity of
- 26:28Speaker 5: playing you in a biopic.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Plan? Oh dang, playing me is crazy.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Uh.
- 26:43Speaker 6: I don't know nobody that could get with this pr
- 26:47Speaker 6: my fact probably Bruh from Well he ain't light enough,
- 26:52Speaker 6: you know?
- 26:54Speaker 5: Uh?
- 26:58Speaker 6: Yeah, because you know I'm light skinned. But I was
- 27:01Speaker 6: gonna say brother from the Ghost the Power Ghost series.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Uh, Mary j blind Son?
- 27:12Speaker 5: Your blind son? Okay? Which one are you talking about?
- 27:17Speaker 5: The one from South Carolina?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Uh?
- 27:21Speaker 4: Do you hear me?
- 27:23Speaker 5: Yes? I can hear you Power Book two? So yes,
- 27:30Speaker 5: s'all know. I like to look up. I Keith that
- 27:34Speaker 5: having little I'm right here. Ah can you hear me? Okay,
- 27:50Speaker 5: so I he's gonna come back up.
- 27:51Speaker 4: I think he's talking about here.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Okay, are you talking about Woody McLean.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Thee Yeah, the dark Skin went definitely not Tyreek.
- 28:01Speaker 2: He's a mom.
- 28:03Speaker 5: You didn't like Tyreek?
- 28:06Speaker 4: No, I don't take him serious as nothing.
- 28:09Speaker 6: He's not a He's not nobody else see as a
- 28:13Speaker 6: killer or no a strong mind to run nothing.
- 28:19Speaker 4: He's just the hurt little boy that he ain't get
- 28:22Speaker 4: time with his daddy.
- 28:26Speaker 5: Oh you know what, I never thought of it that way.
- 28:29Speaker 5: I thought he was trying.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Well.
- 28:31Speaker 5: Of course they were given the narrative that he was
- 28:33Speaker 5: trying to step in the role of his father. So
- 28:37Speaker 5: that's what I was thinking.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Can't be spoon fed and try to step into their life?
- 28:48Speaker 5: Why you do that way? Don't do that way?
- 28:50Speaker 4: But that's all he is.
- 28:52Speaker 5: I can't see what he So we got your theme song,
- 28:58Speaker 5: We got your actress, your actress, yeah, actor, your actress,
- 29:02Speaker 5: the person who is going to play you. But you
- 29:06Speaker 5: now have to write your biopic with your favorite author
- 29:11Speaker 5: or your mentor. Who would that be? And how has they?
- 29:15Speaker 5: How have they? How would they contribute to your journey
- 29:22Speaker 5: as an author writer.
- 29:24Speaker 4: It's funny because everybody know who I'm gonna say.
- 29:27Speaker 6: I'm gonna say Joaquell j because when I so like
- 29:32Speaker 6: when I first started, you know, I'm gonna say, she's
- 29:35Speaker 6: the one that like gave me the opportunity, my very
- 29:39Speaker 6: first opportunity, you know, like to be president, like one
- 29:43Speaker 6: of her events, and just like just when I was
- 29:49Speaker 6: on a zoom with her, like my very first zoom
- 29:51Speaker 6: with her, she gave me like advice, you know what
- 29:54Speaker 6: I'm saying, like, and she ain't have to do that,
- 29:58Speaker 6: and like I just kind of to getting ran, you know.
- 30:01Speaker 6: So and then like just to look at how long
- 30:04Speaker 6: she's been in it, you know, writing eleven years, and
- 30:07Speaker 6: like just her after reading the Dell Got All series
- 30:11Speaker 6: and stuff, I could see like the vision like that
- 30:15Speaker 6: she has because like I feel like I kind of
- 30:18Speaker 6: have close to the same thing, you know what I'm
- 30:21Speaker 6: saying of seeing my characters and how I play them out,
- 30:27Speaker 6: and it's just dope, like to know that, like she's
- 30:31Speaker 6: one of the first.
- 30:32Speaker 4: People that gave me the opportunity or whatever.
- 30:34Speaker 6: So and then she gave me more advice at the
- 30:36Speaker 6: event that we just had in Augusta, you know, the
- 30:38Speaker 6: family first Fire always just back in October.
- 30:42Speaker 4: So just knowing that she will go out her way to.
- 30:48Speaker 6: Tell me like what I need to do, you know,
- 30:51Speaker 6: get on to me when I need to tighten up,
- 30:54Speaker 6: that's definitely shaped me.
- 30:55Speaker 5: So, so give us some down of your catalog.
- 31:11Speaker 6: I'm gonna say New to the Streets because that's the
- 31:14Speaker 6: first one I published this year, and that is like, uh,
- 31:21Speaker 6: that's that's some people favorite series. The New to the streets,
- 31:24Speaker 6: hardest streets, still in the streets. My favorite book isn't
- 31:28Speaker 6: out yet. I tell people that all the time. I
- 31:30Speaker 6: haven't put it out yet because I won't wait till
- 31:32Speaker 6: i'm higher up. But if you need a quick read
- 31:35Speaker 6: to like just know my style, then it would be
- 31:38Speaker 6: Ducatti Mob because they're they're quick.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Novella's uh and it's season one is complete.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Right now, so.

- 34:35Speaker 6: because it'll give you that chance to get lost from
- 34:38Speaker 6: the bullshit we got going on in the world and
- 34:40Speaker 6: escape into into what I built for you.
- 34:44Speaker 5: And that's the reason why a lot of people read
