Two young men, David Lane and Amir McClain, face serious felony rioting charges after sparking chaos during the Fourth of July in Glenwood South, with additional assault and resisting arrest accusations. A Raleigh cop reportedly injured McClain’s elbow while trying to break up a fight — but McClain’s lawyer claims he was the victim, attacked by a crowd, with officers mistakenly intervening. Lane posted $10,000 bond, McClain $6,000, both ordered to stay away from the area. Their next court date is July 27th.
