- 0:23Speaker 1: Matt Flynn.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Y walkme in oh TV.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Here on this Monday, Monday Monday, Jake Flynn, a Landre,
- 0:50Speaker 3: Tay Tay.
- 0:52Speaker 2: The gang is all back together.
- 0:53Speaker 3: The Wolfback's all back together for the first time since
- 0:56Speaker 3: Jesus was a boy, for the first time since Moby
- 0:59Speaker 3: Dick was a mino. We are all here together. It
- 1:02Speaker 3: has been feels like a month. Maybe it has been
- 1:05Speaker 3: I don't know, but glad to be back in studio,
- 1:08Speaker 3: back in Baton Rouge, back together with the OTB wolf Pack.
- 1:13Speaker 3: We still have a show. Matt didn't get us canceled.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Yeah, we're excited that we have a little parent guardian
- 1:18Speaker 4: now back in the house to keep us on track,
- 1:21Speaker 4: show a little responsibility. But yes, we are still here.
- 1:25Speaker 4: And we were just talking about the kind of a
- 1:27Speaker 4: recap of last week. I think Taylor, Landra and I
- 1:32Speaker 4: we finished the show Friday, and we gave a little
- 1:34Speaker 4: high five. We're still here and we got fired. We're
- 1:40Speaker 4: not canceled. We talked some sports and we made it.
- 1:45Speaker 4: We proved ourselves we could do it.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm I am very proud, very thankful for y'all.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Do you do what y'all did? Yeah?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah, you do what y'all did last week. It's not
- 1:55Speaker 3: easy when you haven't done a whole lot of that.
- 1:57Speaker 3: You even had Coach Moulki on, you had guests on,
- 1:59Speaker 3: and having guests sometimes isn't your favorite thing. So I
- 2:03Speaker 3: appreciate you holding down the fort with the laundry.
- 2:06Speaker 4: And we talked about it Thursday after because we had
- 2:08Speaker 4: Coach Moki on Wednesday and I was like, man, I
- 2:10Speaker 4: was barely even sweating during.
- 2:11Speaker 2: That interview until she was like, I don't really know
- 2:15Speaker 2: what you're asking, but yep, there's not a lot of
- 2:18Speaker 2: times it's somebody let me answer, like I think the
- 2:20Speaker 2: way you're asking it, she knew, Oh, she knew.
- 2:24Speaker 4: H there's not a lot of times five shows you
- 2:27Speaker 4: can make a three minute blooper reel out of it.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But we did it. Like I said, there's footage.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yeah for ten twenty thirty minutes, you name it.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It was great. But we're glad that you're back.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Glad to be back, Like I said, I mean between
- 2:43Speaker 3: national Championship and what Senior Bowl. Obviously we were all
- 2:47Speaker 3: together outside of Tayte, but still just not in studio
- 2:51Speaker 3: in bat Rouge and then out all week last week.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And I'm sure you're not lied.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Yeah, did a lot of shows, did a lot of talking.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I was telling y'all the other day. Took a red
- 3:03Speaker 3: eye back in Friday night straight to a baseball tournament
- 3:09Speaker 3: that lasted all day as one day tournament, so we
- 3:11Speaker 3: kept winning.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Shout out to lug Nuts.
- 3:13Speaker 3: We won it, but started at like eleven thirty and
- 3:17Speaker 3: then left the ballpark like at nine thirty.
- 3:20Speaker 2: So I wouldn't want to have it any other way though,
- 3:22Speaker 2: you know, absolutely, let's go. That's it. When it's gone,
- 3:25Speaker 2: that's right. But yesterday didn't have anything to do with
- 3:28Speaker 2: watch some football. You go, do you sleep now?
- 3:30Speaker 3: We did have fifty people at our house, but it
- 3:34Speaker 3: was good friends, good time, bad football.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds about right. Everybody else was great. Did
- 3:42Speaker 2: you get like a little nap end yesterday? Though? You
- 3:43Speaker 2: know me, I'm not an apple. I know I'm not
- 3:45Speaker 2: an apple either.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I went straight like from the Red Eye, didn't sleep.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I can't sleep on planes. I am so envious of
- 3:53Speaker 3: people that as soon as like they put their mask on,
- 3:56Speaker 3: as soon as they put their neck pillow on and
- 3:58Speaker 3: get in the air like mouth O, been asleep.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And I hadn't taken a Red Eye in a couple
- 4:03Speaker 3: of years, Like I forget how that snoring people like
- 4:06Speaker 3: on these red eye flights.
- 4:08Speaker 2: And I'm like, I am so jealous that you can
- 4:09Speaker 2: sleep right there.
- 4:11Speaker 3: But I hit a second wind at some point, and
- 4:13Speaker 3: not even medicated second win, just a natural second win.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was it's actually not that bad.
- 4:19Speaker 3: You're thinking about Martha Stewart. Yeah, she was great. Eighty
- 4:22Speaker 3: four years old, what skin looks incredible.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I did not know she was eighty. We might need
- 4:28Speaker 2: to fact check that I knew she was up there.
- 4:30Speaker 3: But my producer on Super Bowl Radio is like, how
- 4:33Speaker 3: credible is that for eighty four year old?
- 4:34Speaker 2: I was like, no, bro, ain't no way. My girls
- 4:38Speaker 2: through the eighty four eighty five hours lives in them trenches.
- 4:43Speaker 2: She's been behind bars exactly.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Came out on the other side, shot to Martha, what
- 4:51Speaker 3: did y'all talk about a little bit of everything. Really, Yeah,
- 4:55Speaker 3: a little home and garden, you know, little patriots. Her
- 4:57Speaker 3: and Bob Kraft their friends friends. Because they both do
- 5:01Speaker 3: big stuff with Bank of America. She gave them a
- 5:04Speaker 3: shout out. We're like, uh, you know, first American Banking trust. Yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 3: the case you're in Louisiana. But she gave Vacim America
- 5:10Speaker 3: shout out. So because like they've done some stuff together. Uh,
- 5:13Speaker 3: She's like, you know, maybe they can win without you
- 5:15Speaker 3: know who. So she threw some slide at you know,
- 5:17Speaker 3: TV twelve and so well they did it. They did not,
- 5:21Speaker 3: they did not, But yeah, she was great. And then
- 5:23Speaker 3: you know, her and Snoop Dogg were so close. Talked
- 5:25Speaker 3: about that he's doing the Olympics and she was joining
- 5:28Speaker 3: him for something.
- 5:29Speaker 2: How old is Snoop Dogg.
- 5:31Speaker 3: He's got to be in the sixties, sixty four, fifty four,
- 5:38Speaker 3: fifty four years old.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Oh man, that's that's a hard fifty. That was a
- 5:41Speaker 2: very hard fifty. Yeah, Beth Stewart, I'm thirty years older
- 5:45Speaker 2: than him. Wow.
- 5:47Speaker 3: All right, all right, Martha, it was it was a
- 5:53Speaker 3: great week. It was a lot of talking, a lot
- 5:55Speaker 3: of shows. Uh, the the the city itself, like it's
- 6:00Speaker 3: just not a super Bowl city. It's just not like
- 6:05Speaker 3: when I go somewhere like I want to know I'm
- 6:07Speaker 3: there for the super Bowl. I want to see signs
- 6:09Speaker 3: and I want to see like buzz around the game
- 6:12Speaker 3: and not just like every day this is what the
- 6:14Speaker 3: city would look like if you came in the middle
- 6:16Speaker 3: of the summer, or if you came any other time.
- 6:20Speaker 3: San Francisco in itself not thriving like it once was
- 6:25Speaker 3: because I've been there many times. Everything was spread out,
- 6:30Speaker 3: which we knew that going in, like opening nights in
- 6:32Speaker 3: San Jose, media rows in San Francisco, the games in
- 6:36Speaker 3: Santa Clara. The venue that we did much smaller than
- 6:42Speaker 3: when we were in New Orleans last year, much smaller
- 6:45Speaker 3: than one in Las Vegas.
- 6:46Speaker 2: It's like when you walk down the convention they're like,
- 6:48Speaker 2: no juice to the city board. That happened.
- 6:51Speaker 3: But we're in New Orleans. It's like, I'm here for
- 6:54Speaker 3: the super Bowl. I'm here for the biggest sporting event
- 6:57Speaker 3: in the world every year, like I'm here for that.
- 7:00Speaker 3: You didn't like, you would not know you were there
- 7:02Speaker 3: for the super Bowl unless you were working it because
- 7:06Speaker 3: the game's like almost an hour away. You know, the
- 7:09Speaker 3: opening night with the players is forty five minutes away. Like,
- 7:12Speaker 3: when was there juice there? You think there was a
- 7:15Speaker 3: juice there?
- 7:15Speaker 2: No, there was. I talked to a ton of people. Yeah,
- 7:18Speaker 2: all right.
- 7:19Speaker 3: So and again this is anything against San Francisco itself,
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah it is, but it's just not a great host city.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Like they just got Super Bowl fifty. I don't get
- 7:28Speaker 3: why they got Super Bowl sixty. Like normally, like if
- 7:30Speaker 3: you got a new stadium or something in the league's
- 7:32Speaker 3: knowing you a bone.
- 7:33Speaker 4: This stadium is not new, but it helped the last one.
- 7:37Speaker 4: They mean one piece of good pub San France had
- 7:39Speaker 4: in the last decade. Warriors good pub Warriors are across
- 7:46Speaker 4: the across.
- 7:47Speaker 3: The Then they moved, did they Yeah, they moved a
- 7:49Speaker 3: couple of years ago for San fran Yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 7:52Speaker 5: They were, they were, they were more dominant in Oakland.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah that's true. So that's true. I know. I'm just
- 7:58Speaker 2: about the city. Give it one good. It's all just
- 8:01Speaker 2: hated on the city. Not necessarily.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I will tell you again, I have been there many times.
- 8:05Speaker 3: The foods were great. But I've been there many times
- 8:08Speaker 3: and I've seen it in a better light. It's only
- 8:12Speaker 3: the third time the super Bowl has been in San Francisco.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Super Bowl nineteen was between Marino and Joe Montana. Super
- 8:19Speaker 3: Bowl nineteen in but they played that one in Stanford Stadium,
- 8:22Speaker 3: So fifty was only the second time. I think there's
- 8:25Speaker 3: a reason why that's not just not a great super
- 8:28Speaker 3: Bowl host city.
- 8:30Speaker 2: It's gonna be in LA next year. It'll be better.
- 8:33Speaker 3: You'll sell some stuff spread out, obviously, but I'm expecting
- 8:37Speaker 3: it to be better.
- 8:38Speaker 5: But they also just got one too, versus Matthew Stafford
- 8:42Speaker 5: was in LA.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I think we can all agree that New Orleans
- 8:48Speaker 3: one was the league. Oh yeah, Vegas and news New
- 8:51Speaker 3: Orleans should host it every year. But Vegas New Orleans
- 8:53Speaker 3: were really really good. I mean it, it went down,
- 8:57Speaker 3: and I think, if I'm not mistaken, I think he
- 8:59Speaker 3: goes LA and then back across America to Atlanta the
- 9:04Speaker 3: next year.
- 9:05Speaker 2: So that'll be better.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you won't have as many people like next year
- 9:12Speaker 3: being in LA. Like super Bowl Radio, I'm gonna imagine
- 9:15Speaker 3: it's gonna be pretty pretty big.
- 9:18Speaker 2: A couple there's gonna be a couple of guests there.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be Yeah, the yeah, you look at
- 9:23Speaker 4: it just from a straight media row situation, because that's
- 9:26Speaker 4: where you're spending.
- 9:27Speaker 2: All your time. Yeah, I mean did you go down
- 9:29Speaker 2: to Santa Clair at all?
- 9:32Speaker 3: No? No, not at all, not one time. I mean
- 9:36Speaker 3: I'm in media row most of the time. And then
- 9:39Speaker 3: we had a Serious XM put on a concert noa
- 9:42Speaker 3: kan so like at the Warfield.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So we went and saw, like all of us went
- 9:46Speaker 2: and saw that.
- 9:47Speaker 3: That's really you know a few times you kind of
- 9:51Speaker 3: get out of the because I mean you're a media row,
- 9:53Speaker 3: you're doing multiple shows, and then when you're not doing shows,
- 9:56Speaker 3: you were doing interviews with the pit, like the people
- 9:58Speaker 3: that are there, like obviously you know, Matt was doing
- 10:01Speaker 3: his show and so like Matt wants to grab people
- 10:03Speaker 3: and so Serious XM will just like any company.
- 10:07Speaker 2: But for me, they'll you know, hey, do you want
- 10:10Speaker 2: to do this? Who do you want to do?
- 10:11Speaker 3: Here's six interviews that we're gonna do and then they'll
- 10:14Speaker 3: walk you through. So I got a chance, So I
- 10:17Speaker 3: went on Nashville, my guy Ron Sligh Don Davenport. They
- 10:21Speaker 3: do a great job. I actually think they they finished
- 10:25Speaker 3: right behind Mascona. I think I think they finished fourth
- 10:27Speaker 3: in Barrat's sports media rate rankings.
- 10:31Speaker 2: So a big show in Nashville.
- 10:32Speaker 3: But they had booked me at three thirty and my
- 10:36Speaker 3: guy Lorenzo Nil at three forty five. And I got
- 10:40Speaker 3: there and they were a little bit late with there,
- 10:42Speaker 3: you know, the person who was in front of me,
- 10:43Speaker 3: So we started like at three thirty eight or whatever.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Well Low was a little bit early, and so he
- 10:48Speaker 3: comes and then like, hey, can you what do you
- 10:50Speaker 3: I was like, absolutely, we guess my guy, it's a fullback.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I felt bad though, because about three minutes in, like
- 10:56Speaker 3: I pretty much turned my back to them and me
- 10:58Speaker 3: and Low Daddy are talking about fullback storees for about
- 11:00Speaker 3: twenty minutes. I was like, I'm so sorry. They're like, no, y'all,
- 11:03Speaker 3: please go ahead continue. So there's some fun moments in there,
- 11:07Speaker 3: even when you're doing some interviews.
- 11:09Speaker 2: But I mean you saw media Day in the sec
- 11:12Speaker 2: like and you did them.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I mean you did the car wash you had the
- 11:14Speaker 3: first day you had to go do it. Also, yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 3: you're there pretty much all day long. So like if
- 11:21Speaker 3: media rows set up like in a good way, can
- 11:23Speaker 3: kind of change the trip. Yeah, the uh and I
- 11:27Speaker 3: saw that you had a lot of really cool interviews.
- 11:31Speaker 3: But I saw you got to interview a couple of
- 11:34Speaker 3: running back legends at the same time at the same time,
- 11:38Speaker 3: mister Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, correct, I went, Were they good? Yeah? They were great?
- 11:43Speaker 3: That that day alone, I had Bo Jackson, Marshall Fall,
- 11:49Speaker 3: Barry Sanders, and Emmitt Smith decent, but having Barry Sanders
- 11:53Speaker 3: and Emmitt Smith at the like interviewing him at the
- 11:55Speaker 3: same time was incredible as the best of those four.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Of those four not interview football, Oh oh, Barry gosh, Marshall.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I don't know. Marshall's the best all around running back.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Maybe that I've seen, like I watched like I didn't
- 12:11Speaker 3: see like you know before the nineties. But Barry Man,
- 12:17Speaker 3: I don't know. That's stuff I had to come back to.
- 12:19Speaker 3: I just circle back to that one him.
- 12:20Speaker 2: You didn't even say the name Bo one time. Well,
- 12:22Speaker 2: I don't.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I don't think Bo was the best. His rum was
- 12:27Speaker 3: very short in the NFL. Now athlete wise, we can
- 12:31Speaker 3: talk about that. But Emma Smith was giving Barry Sanders
- 12:34Speaker 3: like a hard time because he's like Barry never writes back,
- 12:39Speaker 3: he never texts me back, he never calls me back,
- 12:42Speaker 3: and Barry so soft spoken. He's like like, why are
- 12:45Speaker 3: you telling these people like all our business? Why you
- 12:49Speaker 3: why are you hearing out all our How of a friend?
- 12:52Speaker 3: I am, Yeah, m me just came right and go on.
- 12:56Speaker 3: But uh yeah, very cool to be able to talk
- 12:58Speaker 3: to those same guys to you know, at time, and
- 13:00Speaker 3: I was trying to think. They were talking about some
- 13:02Speaker 3: of the running backs in the NFL today and like
- 13:05Speaker 3: which one would have thrived like during their time. It
- 13:08Speaker 3: was funny they both like at the same time because
- 13:11Speaker 3: I asked me a question. I was gonna go like, hey,
- 13:13Speaker 3: you give me yours for I was like, hey, you
- 13:15Speaker 3: know who could do it? And they both Derrick Henry
- 13:18Speaker 3: like both at the same time, like in our era,
- 13:21Speaker 3: like how football was played back then. They're like that
- 13:23Speaker 3: guy would have played and as great as he has
- 13:26Speaker 3: now would have been even better, Like talked about one
- 13:29Speaker 3: of the all time like top three running backs if
- 13:32Speaker 3: you would have played during our time.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Interesting, it will make sense. He was a very he's
- 13:37Speaker 2: a very large person.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Oh he walked onto our stage and the whole stage
- 13:41Speaker 3: just sunk. Swear to god, I sware it was incredible.
- 13:46Speaker 2: What is he like? Yeah, he's whatever. Yes, just say yes.
- 13:53Speaker 2: So just build different.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Oh, that was the exciting part of Super Bowl week.
- 13:59Speaker 3: We're talking about up before the bad part. I left
- 14:01Speaker 3: before the bad part, and we'll talk about the bad part.
- 14:03Speaker 3: We'll talk about a game that really had no juice,
- 14:08Speaker 3: so juiceless that when somebody actually scored a touchdown, even
- 14:11Speaker 3: though it was for the team that was up twelve
- 14:13Speaker 3: to nothing already pull away, you got excited because you
- 14:15Speaker 3: saw a guy with the ball with two feet in
- 14:18Speaker 3: the end zone. And we'll talk about that game when
- 14:20Speaker 3: we come back here on OTV.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Off the bench, all right.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Go to valleys of Baton Rouge, casino and hotel. If
- 14:28Speaker 3: you were in downtown Baton Rouge, if you were coming
- 14:31Speaker 3: into town to watch a baseball softball series and you
- 14:34Speaker 3: need a place to stay, there's no better place to stay.
- 14:37Speaker 3: It is going to blow you away. As soon as
- 14:39Speaker 3: you walk in. Every single thing is brand new. Everything
- 14:43Speaker 3: got an upgrade. There's five brand new restaurants. There's new games. Right,
- 14:49Speaker 3: the entire thing got redone. I mean Vegas style gaming.
- 14:53Speaker 3: There on the floor. You've got the DraftKings sports book,
- 14:56Speaker 3: You've got new bars, you've got a little bit of
- 14:58Speaker 3: everything in a brand new hotel. Every room got an
- 15:01Speaker 3: upgrade over at Ballet's go check it out when you
- 15:04Speaker 3: come to town, or just for maybe a little staycation
- 15:06Speaker 3: or a date night.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Valleys of batteraries, casino and hotel.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Yeah, if you're looking for a uh, night out with
- 15:12Speaker 4: the fellas, night out with the ladies. Whatever it is,
- 15:14Speaker 4: maybe it's a date night, maybe taking the wife for
- 15:16Speaker 4: a date, maybe it's a first day, whatever is, make
- 15:18Speaker 4: sure you're doing that. The new balles of batteries, ride
- 15:20Speaker 4: down batteries. You got yourself an upgrade ballets of battery.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Where did I see?
- 15:53Speaker 1: We are always running, always pushing up the gill, searching.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Startle what's in front of you?
- 16:17Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in oh tb here on this
- 16:21Speaker 3: Monday morning. And well last night in Santa Clara, as
- 16:26Speaker 3: we talked about alluded to a little bit there and
- 16:28Speaker 3: you already know because well it's the Super Bowl. And
- 16:30Speaker 3: if you didn't watch the Super Bowl, you're weird. And
- 16:32Speaker 3: the Seattle Seahawks won the game twenty nine to thirteen
- 16:36Speaker 3: over the Patriots, and they were dominant. It left no
- 16:41Speaker 3: doubt who the best team in the NFL was, And
- 16:43Speaker 3: I will say before we kind of dive into the
- 16:45Speaker 3: game and get the show started, I will say that
- 16:49Speaker 3: I didn't understand the narrative of people not being excited
- 16:53Speaker 3: about the matchup and kind of talking about the matchup
- 16:55Speaker 3: like it wasn't a high caliber one out there, because
- 17:00Speaker 3: I'm like, they're both fourteen and three. They booth did
- 17:04Speaker 3: a lot of good. They both got like great quarterback stories,
- 17:07Speaker 3: they both got like good head coaching stories. They both
- 17:10Speaker 3: are franchises that have been stable for a long time.
- 17:13Speaker 3: They just met, you know, in a super Bowl ten
- 17:15Speaker 3: years ago. Like I don't know if y'all felt that here,
- 17:17Speaker 3: but like being in San Francisco, like it was like, yeah, you.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Know, underwhelming. I'm like, I don't. I guess I don't
- 17:22Speaker 2: get that.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Like it's not like we have a team with ten wins,
- 17:26Speaker 3: like both these teams fourteen and three, the Patriots started
- 17:28Speaker 3: one and two and then you know we obviously.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Got it here last.
- 17:36Speaker 3: You did, Yeah, well why not because of the anything
- 17:39Speaker 3: you laid out, just because of the overall feeling.
- 17:41Speaker 4: It was just kind of like, eh, we don't really
- 17:45Speaker 4: care a whole lot about it there, I guess I'm just.
- 17:50Speaker 2: We were trying to figure out why to you didn't
- 17:52Speaker 2: really understand it really feeling.
- 17:54Speaker 3: But I think it's because you gave out the stat
- 17:57Speaker 3: that they were like one of the least like they
- 18:00Speaker 3: had like the least chances or one.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Of the Oh yeah, so like the we talked about
- 18:06Speaker 4: the odds preseason of these two teams making it to
- 18:09Speaker 4: the Super Bowl, which in it was like an astounding number.
- 18:12Speaker 4: It was like one of there were seventy five to one,
- 18:14Speaker 4: the other one was like sixty five to one something
- 18:16Speaker 4: like that.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, And I feel like that may be part of it.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Lack of lack of stars one either stars. I don't
- 18:23Speaker 5: care about that, but a lot of people do. Like
- 18:25Speaker 5: even even Jackson Smith and he's not a flashy.
- 18:28Speaker 2: He won Offensive Player of the Year. I get it.
- 18:30Speaker 2: In the NFL, for the average person.
- 18:32Speaker 4: You just don't watch a lot of I'm like, they're
- 18:34Speaker 4: so they're so tucked away geographically, there's not a lot
- 18:37Speaker 4: of people following them.
- 18:39Speaker 5: I just growing up, for whatever reason, I just never
- 18:42Speaker 5: liked either team.
- 18:43Speaker 2: That was the only thing before.
- 18:43Speaker 4: They're both good though, growing over with you grow up,
- 18:46Speaker 4: they were, Yeah, they were always great, like.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Hassleback went to the Super Bowl, beastmude like that whole
- 18:52Speaker 3: group twice.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Well, we established this last week as well. The youths
- 18:56Speaker 4: behind the glass back there. They don't like dominant people,
- 19:00Speaker 4: they don't like, don't like, they don't like dynasties.
- 19:04Speaker 5: I even said in an individual sport if someone if
- 19:09Speaker 5: someone's dominant in a sport, I don't normally watch, I
- 19:12Speaker 5: do watch it because of that.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Person when everyone have the opportunity to get a trophy,
- 19:17Speaker 4: you know, Okay, all right.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Well just kidding.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I just thought maybe, yea, it helped me out, But
- 19:21Speaker 3: it sounds like y'all are part of the problem.
- 19:23Speaker 2: No, I don't know if it's a problem. I feel
- 19:26Speaker 2: like it was proven. Yeah, like the game right right,
- 19:32Speaker 2: it was. Yeah, it was a lack of firepower.
- 19:34Speaker 3: The game wasn't great for sure, But I'm saying like,
- 19:37Speaker 3: going into it, I was surprised because I was, like,
- 19:39Speaker 3: I was just thinking both teams. Now, the Seahawks fourteen
- 19:42Speaker 3: and three, I will say, looked a little bit different
- 19:44Speaker 3: than the Patriots fourteen and three. Like, think about the
- 19:48Speaker 3: Seahawks in the toughest division in football, to be the
- 19:52Speaker 3: one seed and then to win to Super Bowl. Mhmm,
- 19:56Speaker 3: it's wild that they'll be They won't be remembered as
- 19:59Speaker 3: one one of the greats, like one of the best
- 20:01Speaker 3: teams ever. But the forty nine ers made the playoffs,
- 20:04Speaker 3: won a playoff game. The Rams won obviously playoff game,
- 20:08Speaker 3: and that's in their division. And they beat those two
- 20:11Speaker 3: teams in division, got the one seed and then went
- 20:13Speaker 3: and finished it.
- 20:17Speaker 2: All right, is go ahead and get this show started.

- 21:13Speaker 4: dot com.
- 21:14Speaker 3: All right, as we've talked about already, Seahawks win twenty
- 21:17Speaker 3: nine to thirteen. The defense just never let up on
- 21:21Speaker 3: Drake May in that offense and one of the better
- 21:24Speaker 3: defenses obviously that you'll see. And this was a defensive playoffs.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I mean, all the top teams had top defenses. But
- 21:30Speaker 3: you know what it of course, and Matt's gonna roll
- 21:33Speaker 3: his eyes at me. Probably it had me thinking watching
- 21:37Speaker 3: the Seahawks get after Drake May, after every team they
- 21:40Speaker 3: really played in the postseason. I'm still incredibly shocked how
- 21:47Speaker 3: well Philip Prepers did it gets at Seahawks defense when
- 21:51Speaker 3: he came off the couch forty five years old, first game,
- 21:54Speaker 3: and I was sitting there thinking, then, look, I mean
- 21:56Speaker 3: he threw for like one hundred and twenty yards, but
- 21:58Speaker 3: he threw for a score and you only took one Sack.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I'm like, how did he do that?
- 22:02Speaker 3: Like it even more so, I was like, how in
- 22:04Speaker 3: the world did he do that against that defense? Because
- 22:07Speaker 3: and not to turn this into that, just was thinking
- 22:09Speaker 3: about how they've dominated a lot of really good teams,
- 22:13Speaker 3: a lot of really veteran quarterbacks who are still at
- 22:15Speaker 3: the top of their game. If you want to beat
- 22:18Speaker 3: Seattle with the way that their defense plays, you were
- 22:22Speaker 3: going to do it more with your mind than when
- 22:24Speaker 3: your talent, because.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Then that answers your question about like, you know, the
- 22:30Speaker 4: Philip Rivers thing, they just had an answer for everything
- 22:33Speaker 4: pre snap. Yeah, the Patriots did not have a pre
- 22:37Speaker 4: snap answer to anything. Now, the game plan that Seattle
- 22:42Speaker 4: came into last night with was awesome. It was full
- 22:47Speaker 4: of pressure from all over the place, creating confusion, confusing
- 22:52Speaker 4: young quarterback, young offensive line. And I don't believe that
- 22:57Speaker 4: the Seahawks all season really pressured that because they had.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Such a dominant front four. Yeah right, that they've be there.
- 23:04Speaker 3: They're eight and you saw it in the second half
- 23:05Speaker 3: the first half yesterday. They created absolute chaos and it
- 23:10Speaker 3: showed they were bringing it from every single side of
- 23:13Speaker 3: every single situation. Did you see the one the Patriots
- 23:15Speaker 3: were backed up and they had the nickel playing off
- 23:20Speaker 3: like like seven yards off and then they ended up
- 23:23Speaker 3: inserting him in the B gap and Drake May gets
- 23:27Speaker 3: the ball and like he looks left and then all
- 23:29Speaker 3: of a sudden, like it was like right there and
- 23:30Speaker 3: he just happened to like hit a swing pass yep,
- 23:33Speaker 3: but it was like untouched from depth, like perfect timing.
- 23:36Speaker 4: And you could tell that the Patriots are not a
- 23:38Speaker 4: very good hard count team. No, like and like you
- 23:41Speaker 4: could just quarterbacks, you've done it, you can understand, like
- 23:45Speaker 4: those things show they're they're little things. The veteran quarterback
- 23:50Speaker 4: presence or at least somebody veteran on an offense that
- 23:54Speaker 4: can teach you how to do those different things. Those
- 23:58Speaker 4: things show their head and situations like that, Yeah, you
- 24:01Speaker 4: have to if you have a good hard talent quarterback,
- 24:04Speaker 4: like you got to be worried about it.
- 24:05Speaker 2: You can't time like they were timing.
- 24:07Speaker 4: They were running full speed at the snap of the
- 24:10Speaker 4: ball of it too, full speed of the snap of
- 24:13Speaker 4: the ball when they're blisting. You should That is an
- 24:15Speaker 4: indictment on the quarterback and his ability to create a
- 24:18Speaker 4: hard count.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Now, even if you're not hard counting.
- 24:22Speaker 3: It's they still don't come full speed like that, because
- 24:26Speaker 3: you could you hardcount at the time before, you know
- 24:28Speaker 3: what I mean. There's that's why there's good teams will
- 24:31Speaker 3: have six or seven different and I was so shocked
- 24:33Speaker 3: that they didn't never Maybe they can't. Maybe they can't.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Maybe Drake May's probably never done that before. Like seriously,
- 24:39Speaker 3: we're done it well, like there's like you done it too.
- 24:42Speaker 3: There's a difference between like down said, hut, you know
- 24:45Speaker 3: what I mean? Another question, gotcha?
- 24:50Speaker 2: I mean, think about it, because if they're coming full speed,
- 24:52Speaker 2: like you know, you know Grenady Grenady.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Hey, hey, hey, twenty seven's coming Hey, hey guys, swip
- 24:58Speaker 3: it here, twenty seven's coming back.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Hey you got you know him? And then you get
- 25:02Speaker 2: back and then you just go to your normal snap count.
- 25:04Speaker 3: And then when that guy tries to hit it, you
- 25:05Speaker 3: don't care, yeah, because you got it picked up and
- 25:07Speaker 3: all you did was give him a false snap count
- 25:10Speaker 3: to start off everything. And they're pros, they're gonna hear it.
- 25:12Speaker 3: But that's why you like, you're like Granady grannies. And
- 25:15Speaker 3: then you kind of and then the next the first
- 25:17Speaker 3: time you go through it all again, Grande Greennies said hut.
- 25:19Speaker 3: And then the next time it's after the hard count, you
- 25:21Speaker 3: just say said hut. Like yeah, it's the first sound
- 25:23Speaker 3: after the even if you're creating a split second or
- 25:26Speaker 3: or one misstep, because that guy's gonna stop, then he's
- 25:30Speaker 3: got to start again, and he's gonna start full speed.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Because your tackles and guards enough time to sort it
- 25:35Speaker 4: out and make the so I could. I was watching
- 25:37Speaker 4: last night and I was like, come on, you'll just
- 25:39Speaker 4: be better at the hard count, Like do something to
- 25:41Speaker 4: slow them down. You cannot have a defense sprinting at
- 25:44Speaker 4: you at the snap of the snap of the ball.
- 25:47Speaker 4: I was talking last week with Warren Moon and he
- 25:50Speaker 4: was talking about We got into a conversation about how
- 25:54Speaker 4: the cadence is now and how everything's gone. It's either,
- 25:58Speaker 4: you know, because we're actually talking about college football. Then
- 26:00Speaker 4: kind of turned into NFL obviously, but we were talking
- 26:02Speaker 4: about the snap and the clap on the snap count
- 26:05Speaker 4: and like lifting the leg or whatever, and he's like,
- 26:07Speaker 4: I just don't understand why they do it.
- 26:09Speaker 3: He gives he said, because offensively, you're always looking for
- 26:12Speaker 3: answers to the test. He goes, that doesn't answer any question.
- 26:15Speaker 3: He said, it does nothing for you. He said, like,
- 26:18Speaker 3: even in an away situation, I always like to have something.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Maybe maybe it's different and maybe it's still like lifting
- 26:23Speaker 3: the leg, but it's still I'm I'm you know, I've
- 26:25Speaker 3: got verbage and still lifting the leg.
- 26:27Speaker 2: He said.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Think about the quarterback not saying a single word. Maybe
- 26:30Speaker 3: he points out the mic, maybe he doesn't, and he
- 26:32Speaker 3: just lifts his leg. He's like, that gives you no advantage.
- 26:34Speaker 3: It doesn't go against what the defense is trying to do.
- 26:38Speaker 3: And he actually talked about it in detail. He's like, man,
- 26:40Speaker 3: I loved being able to get to where I wanted
- 26:43Speaker 3: to go by giving my cadence and having the defense
- 26:47Speaker 3: have to guess which cadence I was going to use.
- 26:49Speaker 3: What was the snap count? You know, who's pointing out them?
- 26:52Speaker 3: Like all the things that you could. He said that
- 26:54Speaker 3: you could get pre snap just by your verbage.
- 26:58Speaker 2: He's he's like, you said, doing this, he said, gives
- 27:02Speaker 2: you nothing. He's pretty good. College snapcount is really dumb. Uh.
- 27:06Speaker 4: The NFL silent count, so we had even when we
- 27:10Speaker 4: were in silent, we had probably seven or eight snapcounts
- 27:14Speaker 4: right and silent and it all it was all.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Based on the centers looking between his legs. It lifts
- 27:18Speaker 3: his head up. Sometimes he snaps it after he lifts
- 27:20Speaker 3: his head up. Sometimes he says ready to go, then
- 27:22Speaker 3: snaps it. Sometimes he fakes the ready go. Sometimes he
- 27:24Speaker 3: like snaps it with his head was down and without
- 27:27Speaker 3: lifting it. It's all and it's all due to grading
- 27:30Speaker 3: like a like just a split second. Yeah, just a
- 27:32Speaker 3: little bit of hesitation that gives you the advantage. Yeah,
- 27:37Speaker 3: I didn't know for our lead on the Super Bowls
- 27:39Speaker 3: is gonna be the snapcount.
- 27:40Speaker 2: That's on me.
- 27:41Speaker 3: That's not bad, but it it made a really big
- 27:43Speaker 3: game though. It really made a big difference. And it's
- 27:45Speaker 3: one of those things that I bet you there's not
- 27:48Speaker 3: many shows out there and it's one of those things
- 27:51Speaker 3: that snapcount not helping the game like we did.
- 27:53Speaker 4: It is a really not talked about enough on elite
- 27:57Speaker 4: snapcount guys in hardcounts, And it would have made a
- 28:02Speaker 4: difference yesterday if they were.
- 28:04Speaker 2: They wouldn't.
- 28:04Speaker 4: I don't not saying they would have won the game,
- 28:07Speaker 4: but they would have had some time that pocket. The
- 28:09Speaker 4: rush was so relentless yesterday from a blitz standpoint, But
- 28:12Speaker 4: even when they didn't blitz the first half. They blitzed
- 28:16Speaker 4: like this is the that was their game plan. We're
- 28:17Speaker 4: gonna come and get after him, create chaos in the
- 28:20Speaker 4: first half, and then the second half, we're gonna play
- 28:22Speaker 4: like we have all year, rush for dropping coverage, blitz
- 28:25Speaker 4: every now and then. But Drake May is going to
- 28:27Speaker 4: be so flustered and on his toes and seeing ghosts
- 28:32Speaker 4: and stuff. He's not gonna be able to perform because
- 28:34Speaker 4: he's seen it all first half and he's gonna expect it.
- 28:36Speaker 4: And they executed that plan to perfection. And my god,
- 28:39Speaker 4: are they talented. And that brand of football they have, Yeah,
- 28:43Speaker 4: it travels anywhere, whether it's inside, outside, cold, hot, rainy, dry,
- 28:49Speaker 4: it doesn't matter. That brand of football travels. And it
- 28:51Speaker 4: is a good football to watch.
- 28:54Speaker 3: It just so happens that it made the game not
- 28:56Speaker 3: completely great to watch, but it's a fun brand the
- 29:00Speaker 3: footballtim Yeah.
- 29:01Speaker 2: You know many fullbacks the Seahawks have two? Do they play? Yeah? Yeah,
- 29:08Speaker 2: they do.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Here they play play a lot. In fact, I'll tell you,
- 29:15Speaker 3: I'll tell you when you come back, Oh a little
- 29:17Speaker 3: fullback teas tell you want to come back and tell
- 29:20Speaker 3: you what I think. More than getting after Drake May
- 29:22Speaker 3: why they won the game, and we'll do that when
- 29:24Speaker 3: we jump back here on OTB off the bench. Everybody
- 29:29Speaker 3: wants to know, Matt.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I'm definitely. I'm telling you, even though one.

- 32:05Speaker 3: that for you as well, gcop net dot com.
- 32:10Speaker 2: All right, going back to the Super Bowl.
- 32:13Speaker 3: One of the things that actually I think the main
- 32:15Speaker 3: thing outside you know, the pressure obviously that Seattle got
- 32:18Speaker 3: on the Patriots was key.
- 32:21Speaker 2: But the Patriots going into this.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Game in the playoffs three games were allowing only seventy
- 32:27Speaker 3: two yards per game on the ground. Remarkable, right, I
- 32:31Speaker 3: mean nobody could and they the Chargers, the Texans, and
- 32:35Speaker 3: the Broncos all want to be teams that established the run,
- 32:38Speaker 3: and they couldn't do it against the Patriots. And a
- 32:41Speaker 3: lot of times you'll see that and you'll say, there's
- 32:44Speaker 3: you know, we'll run a little bit, but we're gonna
- 32:46Speaker 3: put a lot on Sam Darnold. We're not gonna really
- 32:48Speaker 3: commit to the run because well, just beating your head
- 32:51Speaker 3: against a brick wall and we can't be successful.
- 32:54Speaker 2: They said the hell with that.
- 32:56Speaker 3: They said we're gonna run it, and we're gonna run
- 32:57Speaker 3: it twenty seven times with Kenneth Walker, and he ran
- 33:01Speaker 3: for one hundred and thirty five yards five yards.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Per carry, and man, they could not figure out.
- 33:09Speaker 3: The outside. Don't are stretch play that they had They
- 33:12Speaker 3: couldn't set the edge.
- 33:14Speaker 4: They couldn't the tight ends and tackles. That a hell
- 33:17Speaker 4: of it job on getting their hands inside the shoulders,
- 33:23Speaker 4: and you know, there's a good way to hold there's
- 33:25Speaker 4: a there's a legal way to hold.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Hands inside the shoulders. Keep your body, get your get
- 33:29Speaker 3: your arms bent, your chest in front of theirs. And
- 33:31Speaker 3: they did a really good job of not letting those
- 33:34Speaker 3: guys get off. And so then it's not like a
- 33:36Speaker 3: lack of trying setting the edge. Yeah, the Blockers just dominated.
- 33:40Speaker 3: And Kenneth Walker whatever, Like when did you start running
- 33:46Speaker 3: like with a little who is the running back for
- 33:48Speaker 3: the Steelers forever? Yeah, when did you start running like him?
- 33:52Speaker 3: So people kind of compared him to Fred Warner for
- 33:55Speaker 3: the forty nine Ers was on I forget what your
- 33:57Speaker 3: pre game show he was on, so apologize, but he
- 33:59Speaker 3: was on and they're like, who do you comp him to?
- 34:01Speaker 2: He said, Man, he's got the patients of a Laveon.
- 34:03Speaker 4: Bell well like and I'm not comparing them as runners
- 34:06Speaker 4: of the patients, but like the hops, like the skip
- 34:09Speaker 4: skip skip skip, I've never hadn't seen that of him
- 34:12Speaker 4: this season, and I don't feel like I saw that
- 34:14Speaker 4: the first half.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Yesterday the second half he started doing it.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Yeah, to to have the patients, to be able to
- 34:20Speaker 3: allow everything to develop, allow everything to to clear, and
- 34:25Speaker 3: to not force the issue and not run into the defense.
- 34:30Speaker 3: So many young running backs like they just they're so
- 34:33Speaker 3: excited they get the football, they just run right into
- 34:36Speaker 3: the defense. But to be able to read it like
- 34:39Speaker 3: he did, I thought it was a difference in the game.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Uh.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Brady Russell and Robbie Oots are the two fullbacks. Brady
- 34:46Speaker 3: Oots played for the Alabama Crimson Tide and Brady Russell
- 34:50Speaker 3: went to Colorado.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Oots, it's a o u z ts. Yep.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Obviously the pronunciation. Guy says boots without the B, that's Oots.
- 35:00Speaker 3: There's a Z before the tu. I believe it's o
- 35:03Speaker 3: u zts. Interesting double entry of origin o u zts. Yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 3: country of origin.
- 35:11Speaker 2: I got no idea.
- 35:14Speaker 3: So two full backs ran the football against a team
- 35:18Speaker 3: that was not allowing anybody to run it.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Both one seeds this year had fullbacks. Yep, are we back?
- 35:28Speaker 3: I would say that in a world that we live
- 35:33Speaker 3: in in the year of our Lord. I hate how
- 35:36Speaker 3: you have to look at your watch for that.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yep. All it goes for the date, but the year
- 35:45Speaker 2: he always looks, and you know what, there's not even February.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Like you've had time to it, Josea.
- 35:50Speaker 4: It just says Monday, the night, seven forty three. Then
- 35:52Speaker 4: it tells me it's fifty seven degrees out there. That's
- 35:54Speaker 4: all it tellors. Don't even tell me the dear Yea.
- 35:58Speaker 4: But this year, the best offenses in the entire world,
- 36:02Speaker 4: I'm not going to say featured a fullback, but included
- 36:04Speaker 4: a fullback and included a lot of tight ends. Yeah,
- 36:08Speaker 4: and I loved with their thirteen person I love to
- 36:12Speaker 4: see that brand of football. I love to see just
- 36:14Speaker 4: different brands of offensive football that work, and a football
- 36:18Speaker 4: you know, always ebbs and flows on what is working
- 36:21Speaker 4: what's not working an offense, at least at the professional level.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Is that a really cool spot where you have a
- 36:28Speaker 4: little bit of old school mixed in with a new
- 36:29Speaker 4: school and a lot of creat Like it's these new, creative,
- 36:33Speaker 4: young gun offensive coordinators and coaches that are going back
- 36:37Speaker 4: to using old more old school personnels, but using it
- 36:40Speaker 4: different than they were used.
- 36:41Speaker 3: I mean, this didn't like your nineteen nineties Cowboys or
- 36:44Speaker 3: anything like that. This is like using it in different ways,
- 36:47Speaker 3: and there was just some excellent It's like play designs
- 36:51Speaker 3: yesterday and correct me if you don't agree with this,
- 36:53Speaker 3: But it's like they are taking, like, you know, what
- 36:56Speaker 3: a lot of people are doing today, and they're kind
- 36:58Speaker 3: of marrying it with what Build Walsh was doing with
- 37:01Speaker 3: the forty nine ers, and like Tom Rathman and no
- 37:03Speaker 3: Roger Craig being he just made the Hall of Fame
- 37:05Speaker 3: a guy that could do do it all. It's like
- 37:07Speaker 3: they're taking a little bit of that, some of the
- 37:10Speaker 3: old school West Coast stuff and they're pairing it together
- 37:12Speaker 3: with a lot of the new stuff. But that's where
- 37:14Speaker 3: you're seeing like a blended offense because like what the
- 37:17Speaker 3: forty nine ers were doing, it was with a full back,
- 37:19Speaker 3: it was with a tight end, but they were the
- 37:21Speaker 3: first team to really like have a back that stayed
- 37:23Speaker 3: on the field all three downs and did it a
- 37:25Speaker 3: little bit of everything, and it feels like it's a
- 37:28Speaker 3: great pairing of new age and old school and just
- 37:30Speaker 3: the right amount.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and so you look at the.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Look at the matchup yesterday and kind of go back
- 37:37Speaker 4: to your question from the beginning of the show, like
- 37:39Speaker 4: where's the juice for this matchup. Yeah, you have to
- 37:43Speaker 4: look at to me, you look at the Patriots road
- 37:46Speaker 4: to the super Bowl. They went through three absolutely anemic
- 37:52Speaker 4: offenses to get to the super Bowl. Yeah, Now their
- 37:55Speaker 4: record is great defense, bad offenses. Yeah, they played like
- 37:58Speaker 4: they had a record the the most losing teams or whatever,
- 38:03Speaker 4: one of the easiest schedules in the NFL. That's not
- 38:05Speaker 4: a knock on them. They did not notre dame this
- 38:07Speaker 4: thing and picked their schedule cherry pick it to be
- 38:09Speaker 4: a week schedule. This is just just the way it
- 38:11Speaker 4: fell out this year. But first round they played the Chargers,
- 38:13Speaker 4: who played with h eighth string offensive linemen.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Uh.
- 38:18Speaker 4: Next week they played CJ. Stroud and that Texans offense.
- 38:22Speaker 4: I couldn't do anything. And they played back Sam Donald
- 38:26Speaker 4: saw years ago, Sam Donald the Ghostbuster. The sucked those
- 38:32Speaker 4: ghosts up in that little canister and he sent them
- 38:35Speaker 4: over to right and then played in the snow. So
- 38:42Speaker 4: it's like their road, their path to the super Bowl
- 38:45Speaker 4: was not very sexy. Wasn't that hard?
- 38:48Speaker 2: Seahawks went through two division rivals.
- 38:50Speaker 4: Yeah, And I just don't think anybody out of the
- 38:52Speaker 4: AFC were ready for what the Seahawks were bringing.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Last night. That's fair. I think it's fair. And uh,
- 38:58Speaker 2: it wasn't close.
- 39:00Speaker 1: You.
- 39:00Speaker 3: I went back and I watched a couple of clips
- 39:02Speaker 3: this morning, and no, wasn't close in all aspects.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, in all aspects of the game.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Like we're talking about on defense, the pressures, the way
- 39:11Speaker 3: they ran the football, the way they protected Sam Darnold.
- 39:15Speaker 4: It was the defense was so smart too, like, yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 4: the way that their defensive backs would pass receivers off
- 39:21Speaker 4: and read his eyes like he wasn't doing much with
- 39:23Speaker 4: his eyes, Yeah, because he just didn't have time to
- 39:26Speaker 4: do it right.
- 39:26Speaker 2: And it was not a great day for Will either. No,
- 39:32Speaker 2: I mean, you give up fourteen pressures.
- 39:34Speaker 4: I think that was I heard the stat I think
- 39:36Speaker 4: it was the most pressures given up by an offensive
- 39:38Speaker 4: lineman all season.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Wildly enough, like the sack that he gave up that
- 39:41Speaker 3: actually wasn't on him, that was on late help by
- 39:44Speaker 3: the guard, but still fourteen pressures.
- 39:46Speaker 2: His fourteen pressures.
- 39:48Speaker 3: I mean the Patriots entire, like Taylor was saying during
- 39:50Speaker 3: the break, they replaced one of their offensive linemen in
- 39:53Speaker 3: the middle of the game, that sack.
- 39:55Speaker 4: That he gave up, that it was funny because it
- 39:58Speaker 4: wasn't his fault, but it also wasn't the guards fault
- 40:00Speaker 4: who helped him, Like it was kind of is just
- 40:02Speaker 4: a misfortune. It was a bad timing to go help
- 40:05Speaker 4: because I think they had just lost contact with each
- 40:08Speaker 4: other and then he helped them. Yeah, and it just
- 40:10Speaker 4: was it was unfortunate time and which looked bad on him.
- 40:13Speaker 4: You got Chris collins Worth didn't do very good job.
- 40:16Speaker 2: No he did not. Just point out what you see, Chris,
- 40:19Speaker 2: what happens.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Explain to the people what happened so you can help
- 40:23Speaker 3: them learn some of the inner workings there of pass protection.
- 40:27Speaker 3: We always talk about diversity in the run game. Real quick,
- 40:30Speaker 3: and I know we're taking a break. Twelve outside zones,
- 40:33Speaker 3: eight inside zones, seven duos, a counter, three pool leads,
- 40:38Speaker 3: and one trick play, not just one run, multiple runs,
- 40:42Speaker 3: multiple things that they'll do. If you want to be
- 40:44Speaker 3: successful running the football, you can't be a one trick pony.
- 40:47Speaker 3: And Seattle certainly was not that last night. The trick
- 40:52Speaker 3: play was the reverse to Rashid Shahid.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, those things don't work, No, not in the NFL.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Those work in they were thirty times it was working
- 41:01Speaker 3: flag football at the kindergarten and first grade level, and
- 41:04Speaker 3: then by second grade you can't do it anymore. And
- 41:06Speaker 3: if they work in the NFL, it's like eight yards. Yeah, yeah,
- 41:09Speaker 3: it's a love. It was negative, usually negative.
- 41:12Speaker 2: It's a you use that play to get it. It's
- 41:14Speaker 2: usually a negative. It was a negative five, But everybody
- 41:17Speaker 2: does it.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I know.
- 41:19Speaker 3: All right, we'll take a break more OTB when we

- 42:34Speaker 1: listening to Off the Bench, all right, welcome.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Back in in OTB.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Kind of wrapping up some of our first hour Super
- 43:18Speaker 3: Bowl talk. I'm sure y'all talked about it in length
- 43:21Speaker 3: last week. But sure for Sam Darnold, what a story
- 43:27Speaker 3: was drafted in the top five was gonna be the
- 43:29Speaker 3: savior of the Jets. Nobody can save the Jets. Jets suck,
- 43:34Speaker 3: They're awful. But that's what he was, you know, tasked
- 43:37Speaker 3: with and doesn't work out for him. There has a
- 43:39Speaker 3: losing seasons, first year second season, he actually, as you know,
- 43:44Speaker 3: for him himself, he's won game over five hundred and
- 43:46Speaker 3: then he goes what two and ten and his THURSD
- 43:49Speaker 3: season gets shipped off to Carolina where Baker Mayfield takes
- 43:52Speaker 3: over that job, and then at that point goes to
- 43:54Speaker 3: San Francisco for a year. And he had been tabbed
- 43:57Speaker 3: a bust, which is so hard to get of. He
- 44:00Speaker 3: been tabbed a backup now, which is so hard to
- 44:03Speaker 3: get back into the starter position. And then when he
- 44:06Speaker 3: goes to Minnesota, he wasn't going to be the guy
- 44:08Speaker 3: they draft JJ McCarthy. And all he does once he
- 44:10Speaker 3: goes down is he goes fourteen and three, fourteen and three,
- 44:14Speaker 3: and then he goes to Seattle on free agency. A
- 44:16Speaker 3: lot of people say, that's dumb money. Why did you
- 44:18Speaker 3: spend that on him? He's a one hit wonder. You're
- 44:20Speaker 3: gonna get the old Sam Darnold. He did not allow
- 44:23Speaker 3: that to become his story. He didn't allow the bus
- 44:26Speaker 3: you know, tab on his name to become where he
- 44:30Speaker 3: ended his career. And Matt knows, I know, it is
- 44:33Speaker 3: so hard to get rid of that, and once you
- 44:34Speaker 3: get it, it's almost stuck with you forever So shout
- 44:37Speaker 3: out to Sam Darneld for just putting his head down,
- 44:40Speaker 3: not blaming others, going to work, being fourteen and three
- 44:43Speaker 3: this year, twenty eight and six and two years and
- 44:45Speaker 3: now super Bowl champion.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Not a lot of people get escape no certain places.
- 44:51Speaker 4: Not a lot of people escape the Jets, not a
- 44:52Speaker 4: lot of people escape Oakland when it was in Oakland.
- 44:56Speaker 4: But the fact that he was able to do that,
- 44:58Speaker 4: resurrect your career and have a great game, super Bowl
- 45:00Speaker 4: winning quarterback.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Kudos alright, our number two vo TV coming back your
- 45:05Speaker 3: way here live from the Raizy King Studio.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Off the Bench,
