Latest / The Vault: The Epstein Files / The United States Senate Rejects the Idea of a Maxwell Pardon
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. The U.S. Senate unanimously has agreed to oppose
- 0:08Speaker 1: a pardon, or a potential pardon, for Ghislaine Maxwell if
- 0:13Speaker 1: one is brought to the table. And that's all fine
- 0:16Speaker 1: and well. But the fact that we even have to
- 0:19Speaker 1: have that discussion is a problem unto itself. Like how
- 0:24Speaker 1: could there even be a sentiment or a thought at
- 0:28Speaker 1: pardoning Somebody like Ghislaine Maxwell. I just can't wrap my
- 0:32Speaker 1: mind around it. Anybody who looks at the facts of
- 0:36Speaker 1: the case, and looks at what Ghislaine Maxwell was not
- 0:39Speaker 1: only accused of, but was convicted of, and thinks she
- 0:42Speaker 1: should be pardoned, has a mental condition, and they should
- 0:46Speaker 1: seek immediate help. Because if anybody deserves their sentence, deserves
- 0:51Speaker 1: more of a sentence, with harsher terms, in my opinion,
- 0:55Speaker 1: it's Ghislaine Maxwell. So today we have an article from
- 0:59Speaker 1: the New York Post and the headline, Senate unanimously agrees
- 1:02Speaker 1: to oppose pardon for Epstein accomplice convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.
- 1:08Speaker 1: This article was authored by Zoe Hussain. The Senate unanimously
- 1:14Speaker 1: agreed on Wednesday that socialite and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine
- 1:17Speaker 1: Maxwell should not be allowed a presidential pardon or clemency. Socialite, really?
- 1:24Speaker 1: That's what we're calling her? How about bipedal serpents? fellow
- 1:27Speaker 1: child abuser, general, all-around scumbag. Much more fitting. The resolution
- 1:34Speaker 1: was introduced by Senator Jackie Rosen to prevent the president
- 1:37Speaker 1: from granting a pardon, commutation, or any other form of
- 1:41Speaker 1: executive clemency to Maxwell, the accomplice, and occasional girlfriend of
- 1:45Speaker 1: dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The fact that this conversation needs
- 1:49Speaker 1: to be had, let me reiterate, is ridiculous. Glenn Maxwell
- 1:54Speaker 1: shouldn't be pardoned. That's it. That's the whole conversation. We're
- 1:57Speaker 1: going to go re-litigate it all? Oh, well, see what
- 2:00Speaker 1: had happened was... I mean, come on. Enough is enough.
- 2:08Speaker 1: The resolution is not binding, but signals to the Trump
- 2:12Speaker 1: administration that Senate Republicans and Democrats oppose clemency for Maxwell, 64,
- 2:17Speaker 1: who is currently serving a 20-year federal prison sentence after
- 2:21Speaker 1: being convicted in late 2021 on charges including sex trafficking conspiracy,
- 2:27Speaker 1: and trafficking of a minor. Why is this discussion being had?
- 2:34Speaker 1: We don't have better things to talk about? You know,
- 2:37Speaker 1: like the people who enabled Jeffrey Epstein? Or the NPA?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Or the fact that there's no special counsel yet? It's
- 2:44Speaker 1: frankly horrifying that Trump would entertain the idea of clemency
- 2:48Speaker 1: for even a second for a convicted sex trafficker, Rosen
- 2:51Speaker 1: said in a speech on the Senate floor, according to
- 2:54Speaker 1: The Hill. Well, she's right about that. Not exactly a
- 2:57Speaker 1: big fan of Jackie Rosen. She is a senator from
- 3:00Speaker 1: my state, but I'm not a big fan of her.
- 3:04Speaker 1: But she's right here. And guess what? When you're right,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you're right. And she happens to be right about this.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I find it immoral and disgusting that this is even
- 3:14Speaker 1: a topic of discussion. If Republicans advance Todd Blanche's nomination
- 3:19Speaker 1: tomorrow in the Judiciary Committee... This is the least they
- 3:22Speaker 1: can do to make their opposition to a Maxwell pardon clear,
- 3:25Speaker 1: she said. Yeah, it's non-binding. Words are wind. They'll say
- 3:31Speaker 1: one thing and then do another. I mean, look at
- 3:33Speaker 1: how all these Republicans were so gung-ho before the election
- 3:38Speaker 1: to get to the bottom of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. Now, though? Nah,
- 3:42Speaker 1: come on. I mean, I'm old enough to remember when
- 3:45Speaker 1: Sean Hannity used to talk about Jeffrey Epstein. But now, crickets.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Not a word. And why? Well, because it's politically damaging.
- 3:55Speaker 1: The same reason he was trying to utilize it against
- 3:58Speaker 1: his enemies. And these same people, people like Sean Hannity,
- 4:02Speaker 1: they've been paving the road to get Ghislaine Maxwell some
- 4:05Speaker 1: clemency for whatever reason. Maybe they think that helps out
- 4:09Speaker 1: their boy. Maybe they just want to remove another damaging
- 4:12Speaker 1: piece from the table. Whatever the motivation, it's not good.
- 4:18Speaker 1: A vote to confirm acting Attorney General Todd Blanch as
- 4:21Speaker 1: Trump's pick to replace former Attorney General Pam Bondi was
- 4:24Speaker 1: derailed by two Senate Republicans on Wednesday. Not over Epstein, though.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Has to do with the IRS. And the fund that
- 4:33Speaker 1: Donald Trump allegedly was setting up to pay people for
- 4:37Speaker 1: government issues or whatever. You know, government screwed them. Here's
- 4:41Speaker 1: a fund. Get some money from it. But of course,
- 4:44Speaker 1: it's not what it seems. Just like everything else this
- 4:46Speaker 1: government does. Blanche, who oversaw the rollout of the Epstein
- 4:53Speaker 1: files as Deputy Attorney General, has said he wouldn't recommend
- 4:56Speaker 1: the pardon for Maxwell. White House officials have repeatedly denied
- 5:00Speaker 1: that clemency for the convicted sex trafficker is under consideration. Well, look,
- 5:06Speaker 1: that would be insane, honestly. Even for Donald Trump. Imagine
- 5:11Speaker 1: giving Ghislaine Maxwell a pardon. Do you know what the
- 5:13Speaker 1: news cycle would be like? I mean, he'd have to
- 5:17Speaker 1: drop a nuke in Iran to change the news cycle.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And yo, real talk, I don't put it past him.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I honestly don't. I mean, what kind of president gets
- 5:25Speaker 1: up there and talks about we're going to beat the
- 5:26Speaker 1: shit out of so-and-so? How about some decorum? How about
- 5:30Speaker 1: not letting our enemies know what's coming? Trump, however, has
- 5:36Speaker 1: previously been coy when questioned by reporters about whether he's
- 5:39Speaker 1: considered granting Maxwell a pardon. I haven't even thought about it.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I haven't thought about it for months. Maybe I haven't
- 5:46Speaker 1: thought about it at all, the president said in November.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But I don't talk about that. I don't rule it
- 5:50Speaker 1: in or out. The month before, Trump had said, I
- 5:53Speaker 1: will speak to the DOJ. I wouldn't consider it or
- 5:56Speaker 1: not consider it. I don't know anything about it. Oh,
- 6:00Speaker 1: sure you don't. Sure you don't know anything about Ghislaine
- 6:03Speaker 1: Maxwell and her prison sentence. And sure you didn't unleash
- 6:07Speaker 1: Todd Blanche to go make a deal with her. I'm
- 6:09Speaker 1: sure that was all organic, right? The Supreme Court rejected
- 6:14Speaker 1: Maxwell's appeal of her sex trafficking conviction this past October.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Maxwell appeared virtually before the House Oversight Committee from the
- 6:23Speaker 1: Minimum Security Texas prison camp in February, where she was
- 6:27Speaker 1: moved shortly after an interview with Blanche last summer. No answers.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Nobody stepped up and said, hey, this is why we
- 6:35Speaker 1: moved her. This is what it was based on. Of course,
- 6:39Speaker 1: they just say it's protocol. It's in the hands of
- 6:41Speaker 1: the B.O.P., Until your loved one gets in trouble and
- 6:45Speaker 1: they send them across the country and they tell you
- 6:47Speaker 1: to go get fucked. But if it's Glenn Maxwell, ah,
- 6:50Speaker 1: come on. Not only are we going to sit down
- 6:52Speaker 1: with her, but we're going to move her to Camp
- 6:54Speaker 1: Ryan and we're going to hook her up. Whatever she wants. Puppies, Chick-fil-A,
- 6:58Speaker 1: extra computer time, hoodies, whatever it is. Does that sound
- 7:04Speaker 1: like the treatment a human trafficking child molester should get?
- 7:10Speaker 1: And people can talk all the bullshit they want about
- 7:12Speaker 1: anybody else, try and pass the buck. Who's in charge
- 7:15Speaker 1: right now? Who made that deal with Glenn Maxwell? Well,
- 7:19Speaker 1: we know who made the deal. Donald Trump and Todd Blanch.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And those are just the facts. And if you want
- 7:25Speaker 1: to be mad about it, be mad about it. But
- 7:27Speaker 1: be mad at Trump. He's the one who is in
- 7:30Speaker 1: control here. He's the one behind the sticks. And in
- 7:34Speaker 1: my opinion, this whole entire cover-up originated in the White House.
- 7:40Speaker 1: She invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during the deposition.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Her defense lawyer, David Oscar Marcus, said she was eager
- 7:48Speaker 1: to testify that President Trump and former President Bill Clinton
- 7:52Speaker 1: were innocent of any wrongdoing, despite ties to Epstein in
- 7:55Speaker 1: the 90s and 2000s. So how could she know that?
- 7:59Speaker 1: I thought Ghislaine Maxwell was nowhere near Jeffrey Epstein after
- 8:02Speaker 1: about 2004, 2005. What happened, Ghislaine? Did you lie? You
- 8:07Speaker 1: would never do that, right? The world's biggest liar telling lies?
- 8:11Speaker 1: Who would have ever expected it? What's next? I'm going
- 8:14Speaker 1: to have a big mouth? The absurdity of it all, folks.
- 8:19Speaker 1: The fucking absurdity of it all. And I can't even
- 8:21Speaker 1: believe this conversation's happening. I know I keep saying that,
- 8:24Speaker 1: but I'm truly in disbelief. I thought that when Ghislaine
- 8:27Speaker 1: Maxwell exhausted her appeal attempts and the Supreme Court told
- 8:32Speaker 1: her to get stuffed, that would be the end of it.
- 8:34Speaker 1: But when you've got enough money, enough power, and enough
- 8:37Speaker 1: dirt on people, maybe, Well, I guess the rules change.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I guess there's that two-tier justice system we all love
- 8:45Speaker 1: so much. One set of rules for them, another set
- 8:49Speaker 1: of rules for people like us. And then you have
- 8:52Speaker 1: her lawyer, David Oscar Marcus, who is just absolutely ridiculous.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Now look, I get it. You have to pine for
- 9:00Speaker 1: your client, right? You have to passionately defend them and
- 9:04Speaker 1: do everything you can to get them out. I get that.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But some of the ridiculous nonsense that comes out of
- 9:09Speaker 1: his mouth is just absurd. It's like the stuff Andrew
- 9:13Speaker 1: Tate's lawyers are saying. Does anyone really believe that? Andrew
- 9:16Speaker 1: Tate's the reason that Donald Trump got elected? What? Like,
- 9:19Speaker 1: come on. You really think that guy has that much pull,
- 9:23Speaker 1: that much power? He doesn't. But it's the same nonsense
- 9:27Speaker 1: with David Oscar Marquez. talking about Ghislaine Maxwell like she's
- 9:30Speaker 1: some kind of victim, like she wasn't convicted by a
- 9:32Speaker 1: jury of her peers, like that conviction wasn't upheld by
- 9:36Speaker 1: the Second Circuit, like that conviction wasn't upheld by the
- 9:40Speaker 1: Supreme Court. So who are you trying to kid? Some
- 9:44Speaker 1: of us actually know the story. Some of us have
- 9:48Speaker 1: actually looked at the court documents. And what those court
- 9:51Speaker 1: documents tell us? Well, they tell us that Ghislaine Maxwell
- 9:54Speaker 1: is exactly where she belongs. Well, she was until her
- 9:58Speaker 1: buddy Todd Blanche moved her, But if anybody deserves to
- 10:01Speaker 1: be behind bars for what happened with Jeffrey Epstein, for
- 10:04Speaker 1: what they did in association with Jeffrey Epstein, for the
- 10:09Speaker 1: pain and suffering they caused on their own, then well, folks,
- 10:13Speaker 1: it's none other than Ghislaine Maxwell. All the information that
- 10:18Speaker 1: goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
