- 1:04Speaker 3: Slash promos to see a podcast call twenty five wists
- 1:11Speaker 3: Stuck in football and they are a whist So, yes, it's.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Too bad, but what did you expect? It's a podcast
- 1:19Speaker 1: call twenty five whistles Twine, Welcome to the show. I
- 1:25Speaker 1: have a lot of stuff to say because I feel
- 1:27Speaker 1: like we had so many days of football and I
- 1:29Speaker 1: kept notes the whole time, and it's been like a month.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I feel like thing I'm talking about that we are
- 1:33Speaker 1: talking about like a month we bold whistler. I got okay, first,
- 1:38Speaker 1: how much fun would it have been to pepper spray
- 1:42Speaker 1: the other team's players? So much fun? Now, look, I
- 1:47Speaker 1: got a lot to say about the Ohio State Michigan game.
- 1:50Speaker 1: But imagine that you are a police officer and you're
- 1:53Speaker 1: an Ohio State fan police officer, because I'm imagining that
- 1:57Speaker 1: if you're a police officer from Ohio at the Ohio
- 2:00Speaker 1: State game, you're probably sad that you lost the game.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That's a terrible loss. Imagine the cathartic release when you
- 2:08Speaker 1: got to pepper spray Michigan players. Yep, you know they
- 2:12Speaker 1: were like, ah, rivalry is real, right in their face.
- 2:17Speaker 1: So I got a lot to say. But first of all,
- 2:19Speaker 1: those cops and I know they're being investigated. Things are
- 2:22Speaker 1: under investigation. Nothing's gonna happen. You know, can't pepper spray
- 2:25Speaker 1: someone messing with your logo? Yeah you can, No, you can't.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Oh now they might have pepper sprayed finger quotes because
- 2:33Speaker 1: things were getting out of hand and they worried about
- 2:36Speaker 1: someone being in danger. Yeah, but all I was thinking was,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you know those Ohio State Police officers freaking love pepper
- 2:42Speaker 1: spray and Michigan players. Yeah, that's first part of that.
- 2:45Speaker 1: The second part of that is it's not even about
- 2:47Speaker 1: flag planning. It's about there is not a worse look
- 2:51Speaker 1: than losing a game and then getting into a fight
- 2:54Speaker 1: on the field. Yeah, and that happened many times, not
- 2:57Speaker 1: even just to flags. I saw Arkansas do that, and
- 3:00Speaker 1: that's my team. I saw Arkansas'll try to fight after
- 3:02Speaker 1: the game against Missouri. If you lose, you lost, get
- 3:06Speaker 1: off the field. Losers. Now, that could be any team
- 3:10Speaker 1: in a year. But you lost. There is not a
- 3:15Speaker 1: more I'm sad and insecure than fighting somebody after you
- 3:21Speaker 1: just lost. The fight on the field have a terrible look.
- 3:25Speaker 1: So don't fight. Once you lose you feel like fighting,
- 3:28Speaker 1: get off the field. The flag planning hilarious. Now they're
- 3:32Speaker 1: gonna have to stop flag planning there. Yes, here's what
- 3:35Speaker 1: I wrote on my Instagram and my Twitter. I wrote,
- 3:39Speaker 1: you can't actually get the flag into the ground of stick,
- 3:42Speaker 1: So why aren't these people like running out with a
- 3:43Speaker 1: nice sand base that they can in a stand. They
- 3:46Speaker 1: can put the flag in anything.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Oh, gently put the flag on there.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you just take a sand base. You have somebody
- 3:51Speaker 1: who's running the flag out and behind them you run
- 3:53Speaker 1: out of a sand base that's in a like a
- 3:57Speaker 1: concrete contraption. You set that down, then you put the
- 3:59Speaker 1: flag again, and then you protect it because it ain't
- 4:02Speaker 1: going in the field.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Oh is that the whole point them actually sticking a
- 4:06Speaker 4: dagger into your logo.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Well, that's the idea. It's the dagger in But if
- 4:10Speaker 1: you get it to stand, that would be awesome. And
- 4:12Speaker 1: I think Baker Mayfield showed us it ain't gonna stick.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Those fields are not for things to stick in. So
- 4:18Speaker 1: here are the three things. Number one, it must feel
- 4:23Speaker 1: felt good to pepper Spray and Michigan player because you
- 4:26Speaker 1: know they were like, we really needed pepper Spray this.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Everybody's got pads done because you didn't hear any Ohio
- 4:34Speaker 1: State players be like, oh my gosh.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Number two, if you lose and you fight, you're just
- 4:43Speaker 1: a big titty baby, titty baby. Yeah, get off the field.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I never heard that before.
- 4:48Speaker 1: You need it. And I'm saying this as we lost Arkansas.
- 4:51Speaker 1: My team lost and we tried to fight Missouri. You lost.
- 4:56Speaker 1: What are you gonna do win that one? That one
- 4:58Speaker 1: doesn't count and you he gets suspended the game. So
- 5:02Speaker 1: don't fight after you lose and you feel like fighting,
- 5:04Speaker 1: you just get off the field because you're gonna look
- 5:05Speaker 1: like even more of a chump.
- 5:07Speaker 6: You put that on the coach at all.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I put that on the culture, okay. And number three,
- 5:15Speaker 1: if you're going to plan a flag, you can go
- 5:18Speaker 1: to like home depot and get a flag holder. You
- 5:22Speaker 1: just have two people carry it out. One carries a flag,
- 5:24Speaker 1: one carries out the weighted bass flag holder weights and
- 5:27Speaker 1: you lay it down there, then you put the flag
- 5:29Speaker 1: in it, and then you stand around it the end.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I fixed it. That would be legit. Yeah, clip that,
- 5:35Speaker 1: it's clipped already. Clip that. You know. Those cops are like,
- 5:39Speaker 1: oh yeah.
- 5:39Speaker 6: You guys, ever been pepper sprayed?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Uh uh from not straight on? But like secondarily, was
- 5:47Speaker 1: that because they did that in your hallways at school?
- 5:49Speaker 5: Oh?
- 5:49Speaker 1: No, no, because we did a bit on the show
- 5:51Speaker 1: and I was too close to it.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that what Mike got sprayed?
- 5:55Speaker 1: No, I sprayed Mike Dean ran. Yeah, yeah, but he
- 5:59Speaker 1: was the one asking about it. Next up, if you
- 6:04Speaker 1: have three losses and you're trying to get in the
- 6:07Speaker 1: college football playoff, don't cry when you don't get in. Now,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I will say, if there's a three loss team that
- 6:14Speaker 1: gets in, good for you, because one may. But you
- 6:21Speaker 1: can't cry if you lost three times. I'm not saying
- 6:25Speaker 1: all three loss teams are absolutely eliminated, because we could
- 6:28Speaker 1: see what happens where us SMU's playing Clemson right in
- 6:36Speaker 1: the ACC title game. If Clemson wins, they're not getting in.
- 6:42Speaker 1: What Clemson wins, they'll get in. If SMU wins, Clemson
- 6:47Speaker 1: will not get in. So that could just be one
- 6:49Speaker 1: team going in. So there could be a three win
- 6:51Speaker 1: in Alabama, South Carolina, Ole Miss that they get in.
- 6:54Speaker 1: But if you're a three loss team, shut up. You lost.
- 6:58Speaker 1: You can state your case, but you lost. You don't
- 7:00Speaker 1: deserve to have people feel sorry for you. You lost.
- 7:04Speaker 1: If you lost three games, you still might get in,
- 7:07Speaker 1: but don't cry like a little titty baby.
- 7:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Yes, when you don't get in, three losses eliminate you
- 7:15Speaker 1: from crying. It almost eliminates you from getting in, but
- 7:19Speaker 1: it does eliminate you from crying. So I'd like to
- 7:22Speaker 1: say that.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Are you directing that towards this certain team?
- 7:27Speaker 1: I am not. Actually it's all of them. I was
- 7:29Speaker 1: watching on Twitter now known as X and Lane Kiffin
- 7:35Speaker 1: had posted a thing going, let's break it down. We
- 7:38Speaker 1: beat this, they beat that, we beat this, they beat
- 7:40Speaker 1: that strength to schedule, and I'm like, what I like
- 7:44Speaker 1: about Lane Kiffin is also what I don't like about
- 7:45Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin, Like, he doesn't shut up, and it's hilarious
- 7:48Speaker 1: and it's annoying, and it's great. It's great for the sport.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Brett Beilama then posts, Hey, great logic, Let's use your
- 7:54Speaker 1: same logic and just annihilates Lane Kiffin with his logic
- 7:57Speaker 1: with a higher strength to schedule with three losses. So
- 8:02Speaker 1: if you have three losses and you don't get in,
- 8:05Speaker 1: don't cry. If you have three losses and you do
- 8:07Speaker 1: happen to get in, hey good for you. You're really lucked out.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That's number two. Clip to that. I like saying clip.
- 8:16Speaker 1: It makes me feel cool. Next up Penn State, James Franklin.
- 8:26Speaker 1: So they keep scoring. At the end of that game.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You can always tell when two coaches meeting at midfield
- 8:33Speaker 1: have a moment, even if it's not super obvious, because
- 8:36Speaker 1: they hug a little too long.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Oh yeah, there.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Are a couple people that are hug a little too long.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Creepy uncles and coaches aren't happy with the hither and
- 8:45Speaker 1: they were hugging a little too long at the end
- 8:47Speaker 1: of that game, and so they go after and James
- 8:50Speaker 1: Franklin was super upfront about it. He goes, yeah, we scored.
- 8:54Speaker 1: He goes, will you mean to do? I put in
- 8:56Speaker 1: the threes and the fours meeting third string of fourth
- 8:58Speaker 1: to three players. Now the host let them play football.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to let them play And I thought
- 9:04Speaker 1: to myself, I agree he said, but they've been working hard,
- 9:09Speaker 1: they shouldn't get to play football. But that's what the
- 9:13Speaker 1: coach from Maryland was having a problem with. The game
- 9:17Speaker 1: ended up forty four to seven. It was not really
- 9:19Speaker 1: a game, but yeah, I was third string and fourth
- 9:21Speaker 1: string guys who they should get to play. And I
- 9:24Speaker 1: can tell you this as a team that's been had
- 9:27Speaker 1: the crap beat out of them. When Ole Miss is
- 9:28Speaker 1: beating US one hundred and ninety two a few weeks ago,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, the second and third string of
- 9:33Speaker 1: fourth three guys, they should if they can score, they
- 9:35Speaker 1: should score. They played, this is their opportunity. You don't
- 9:39Speaker 1: want them to score stop them. The only time that
- 9:42Speaker 1: I would say that is not the case is if
- 9:44Speaker 1: you're playing like Balding or State and they're playing eight
- 9:48Speaker 1: man football while you've got all eleven. And that happens sometimes.
- 9:52Speaker 1: But I thought that the Maryland coach was kind of
- 9:54Speaker 1: a whimp. I would say, to his face, is bigger
- 9:55Speaker 1: than I have, much bigger. He'd probably hugged me for
- 9:57Speaker 1: way long, and I wouldn't like that because he's strong.
- 10:00Speaker 1: But he was complaining about it and he said it
- 10:02Speaker 1: was bull less. But I thought James Franklin was right on.
- 10:07Speaker 1: He's like, what do you want me to do? Because
- 10:09Speaker 1: he could have put third and fourth in and just
- 10:10Speaker 1: run the ball the whole time. But also, like your quarterback, you,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I'll let him throw a little bit. Yeah. I had
- 10:14Speaker 1: no problem with them throwing. I liked it. The hugs, though,
- 10:20Speaker 1: were hilarious. How long did they hug? Well, so what
- 10:24Speaker 1: started off as a hug turned into kind of a
- 10:26Speaker 1: mini headlock.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And then if you fight out of the mini headlock,
- 10:31Speaker 1: then you could tell there was something going on that's awesome.
- 10:34Speaker 1: And what I admired about James Franklin was he didn't
- 10:36Speaker 1: fight out of the mini headlock because he also did
- 10:38Speaker 1: not want that to seem like it was more than
- 10:39Speaker 1: what it was. You could tell it was after about
- 10:43Speaker 1: one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi. Fuh mini headlock, four Mississippi,
- 10:48Speaker 1: five Mississippi. Then they split off. Yeah. I could not
- 10:52Speaker 1: agree more with James Franklin saying this is by somebody
- 10:56Speaker 1: who gets a score run up on him sometimes too,
- 10:57Speaker 1: So it's not like I'm a Bama fan and I'm like, yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 1: ill them score, but spurry or said it best at
- 11:02Speaker 1: your job to stop.
- 11:03Speaker 6: Us, especially if you're playing the ones. He said Maryland
- 11:06Speaker 6: sell other ones.
- 11:07Speaker 1: In and they were playing cover zero, So what do
- 11:10Speaker 1: you expect them to do? Well, you could expect them
- 11:13Speaker 1: just to run it, you know, cover zeros.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Yeah, it means you cover No one, no cover zero.
- 11:18Speaker 5: No.
- 11:19Speaker 7: Good.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Guess that means that means it's man coverage. There's there's
- 11:23Speaker 1: zero people back there in case like a safety. Oh
- 11:25Speaker 1: it's full man, got it?
- 11:27Speaker 4: Yeah, man a man.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But covers that you can play man of man with
- 11:30Speaker 1: like a safety plan zone.
- 11:32Speaker 4: So I've seen cover five.
- 11:33Speaker 1: What's that? I've seen that on Madden. Cover five is
- 11:36Speaker 1: not really a thing like a cover. Okay, quick breakdown, Okay,
- 11:41Speaker 1: Cover two. This is gonna be very generic and rudimentary.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Split split safeties are playing half the fields, right, and
- 11:47Speaker 1: you can play a zone Cover two. You can play
- 11:48Speaker 1: a man Cover two, Cover three, you're playing thirds of
- 11:51Speaker 1: the field. You can go a cover four. There are
- 11:54Speaker 1: different versions of cover four.
- 11:55Speaker 4: So is this just for the DB's for the safeties
- 11:57Speaker 4: in the back.
- 11:59Speaker 1: It could be you can also drop a linebacker and
- 12:02Speaker 1: let's say blitz of safety and you're playing three. So
- 12:04Speaker 1: rough multiple variations to it. But yeah, rough that's yes,
- 12:08Speaker 1: Roughly that would be cover zero as you're playing man
- 12:12Speaker 1: coverage and there's zero people back there in case there's
- 12:14Speaker 1: an accident and someone gets behind everybody. That'd be my
- 12:17Speaker 1: mistake in n Cuba every single time.
- 12:19Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, Engage eight, I don't even know what that is.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Was still one guy back.
- 12:23Speaker 6: No, that's true.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Cover sixty nine. You don't want to know, you know, Hey,
- 12:30Speaker 1: follow my only fans. Hey, hey, clip clip climate.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Did you see the Georgia Georgia Tech hug.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Because that was a very long hug, but they're crying.
- 12:43Speaker 4: They were crying though they were happily hugging.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yes, that was the other hug was almost a headlog,
- 12:50Speaker 1: this hug, almost trying to do a Makeolean correct. Yeah,
- 12:54Speaker 1: so confession about that game. Georgia Tech was up seventeen zero.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I think I got some like neurovirus and it was
- 13:03Speaker 1: so bad I was sleeping on I was at somebody
- 13:05Speaker 1: else's house for Thanksgiving. I was sleeping on towels on
- 13:09Speaker 1: the bed. Oh justin kise because I was throwing up
- 13:11Speaker 1: and had diarrhea. And so it's seventeen zero. I was like, well,
- 13:15Speaker 1: this game's probably over. And I was in Arkansas, so
- 13:17Speaker 1: I couldn't bet it because I would have bet Georgia
- 13:20Speaker 1: and I couldn't. And I was the neurobius is like
- 13:23Speaker 1: forty eight hours, right, and I didn't make it, and
- 13:27Speaker 1: I woke up. It's all eight overtimes.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Oh, eight overtimes. If you would have bet Georgia, you
- 13:31Speaker 4: would have been puckered the entire end of the game
- 13:33Speaker 4: because it just kept going back and forth.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I watched it, and hey, watch the biggest plays because
- 13:38Speaker 1: you can do that on YouTube TV. Yeah, and twenty
- 13:41Speaker 1: minutes long, that's what it felt like. Haines King is like, yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 1: he's awesome. That dude is a boss.
- 13:47Speaker 6: Yeah, so I almost texted you because that overtime. We've
- 13:51Speaker 6: talked about it recently.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It's the stupidest thing ever.
- 13:53Speaker 6: I was sitting there with my girlfriend. She's like, they're
- 13:55Speaker 6: not done yet, so sid.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Stop with the one place. Yeah, you don't like it.
- 13:59Speaker 4: I feel like it's almost like a boxing match, like
- 14:01Speaker 4: I missed. No, No, it's not like the slapping. That's
- 14:05Speaker 4: it slapping. Yeah, it's like, oh okay, it didn't knock
- 14:09Speaker 4: me down.
- 14:09Speaker 1: My turn, And I don't think because if it goes
- 14:12Speaker 1: to like the national championship and it's in on a
- 14:14Speaker 1: two point conversion. That's a disaster. That's gross. I don't
- 14:17Speaker 1: mind first overtime normal, second overtime I think is also normal,
- 14:25Speaker 1: where you take turns and you kick a field goal.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I think is a third overtime for a second? Now, okay,
- 14:29Speaker 1: second two, second's go for two. I don't mind it
- 14:31Speaker 1: being go for two every time with the play. Sure,
- 14:34Speaker 1: like I had mentioned, and I'm not sure which, if
- 14:38Speaker 1: it was today or maybe Brandon last week. I think
- 14:41Speaker 1: in overtime you start at the fifty. I hate that
- 14:43Speaker 1: you can just kick a field goal immediately without having
- 14:44Speaker 1: to do anything. Started the fifty. If it's even after that,
- 14:48Speaker 1: then you go to the forty five, then to the
- 14:50Speaker 1: forty slowly make your way. Yeah, I like that, but
- 14:53Speaker 1: what do I know?
- 14:54Speaker 4: You know what I don't like is that when they
- 14:57Speaker 4: like they to the two teams go for the two,
- 15:00Speaker 4: then the one that lasted it goes next.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Snake draft.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Yeah, snake draft style. I don't like that so much.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I hate it that it's all two point conversions because
- 15:09Speaker 1: you also saw them run out of plays like four
- 15:11Speaker 1: into yeah, oh for sure. Because Georgia tech.
- 15:14Speaker 6: With the crazy formation.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Then they have one that was like, oh, the five
- 15:18Speaker 4: guys even lineman, five linemen on the left side, which
- 15:20Speaker 4: is pretty.
- 15:21Speaker 6: Crazy, like all the way to the sideline. And then
- 15:22Speaker 6: they ran a play to the right.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Yeah, some direct dance dance revolution out there. They don't
- 15:25Speaker 1: even know what's going on. I don't know, man, go
- 15:27Speaker 1: out there and do something, and then they have to
- 15:28Speaker 1: go from one side of the field to the other.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It's just like, what are we doing here? I didn't
- 15:33Speaker 1: like that. I didn't watch it until later because I
- 15:36Speaker 1: think I'd have been puckered the whole time.
- 15:37Speaker 7: But I was.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I was a little ill at that one. Don't worry
- 15:40Speaker 1: aout clipping that one. Oh yeah, I got you. I
- 15:42Speaker 1: got a couple more. Trevor Lawrence's oh come on slide
- 15:48Speaker 1: and his head almost getting ripped off. I will say,
- 15:52Speaker 1: first of all, very dirty, Yeah, dirty play. I have
- 15:56Speaker 1: a way to fix this, though, I know you guys thought, oh,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I know you got the Bobby's not gonna have way
- 16:00Speaker 1: to fix this.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Oh You're just gonna complain about it.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Way to fix it. So that, by the way, he
- 16:06Speaker 1: did end up tweeting, Hey, I'm okay, thank goodness. I
- 16:11Speaker 1: don't know if it means he's really okay or he
- 16:12Speaker 1: can just tweet.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Somebody else to do it.
- 16:17Speaker 1: But that was a bad hit and I haven't seen
- 16:19Speaker 1: as of now what the punishment is going to be
- 16:21Speaker 1: because it was elbow it was it was he was
- 16:23Speaker 1: going down elbow up. So what has happened here in general?
- 16:28Speaker 1: And I think we saw this a bit in a
- 16:29Speaker 1: different way with Caleb Williams. These quarterbacks are really trying
- 16:33Speaker 1: to push it to the last minute before they slide
- 16:34Speaker 1: or get out of bounce. And you saw with Caleb
- 16:36Speaker 1: Williams he was going kind of out of bounds and
- 16:40Speaker 1: they stopped to try to get extra yard and then
- 16:43Speaker 1: he got in his leg got bent back. We saw
- 16:45Speaker 1: Kenny Pickett, which is not this is not allowed anymore,
- 16:48Speaker 1: but Kenny Pickett with the fake slide and back up.
- 16:51Speaker 1: These quarterbacks are waiting until the last minute to slide.
- 16:54Speaker 1: And so I'm not saying that this was right in
- 16:57Speaker 1: any way whatsoever, but these defensive players now have got
- 16:59Speaker 1: to go like and sometimes quarterbacks will just slow down
- 17:02Speaker 1: and then take off again, not even faking like the slide.
- 17:05Speaker 1: That's the new cheap mahomes done that a lot.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, okay, but they if they mark you down
- 17:11Speaker 4: where you start the slide. That's kind of why I
- 17:13Speaker 4: think they're waiting so much, Like I need to go.
- 17:16Speaker 8: And hear you.
- 17:16Speaker 1: But I'm just talking about the injury part of it.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I'm talking about them getting hit.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's the reason they're not sliding so quickly
- 17:21Speaker 4: I think on their quarterback.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But again, all I'm talking about is the injury part
- 17:25Speaker 1: of it, where people are getting killed because they're these
- 17:28Speaker 1: defensive players are coming and ring as hard as they
- 17:29Speaker 1: can going time to kill, kill kill. He's still up
- 17:32Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden they got to pull
- 17:33Speaker 1: back last minute. The hit was still dirty. That'd pissed
- 17:36Speaker 1: me off. The other player should not have been objective
- 17:38Speaker 1: for beating the crap out of him. This is what
- 17:40Speaker 1: they should have on their their uniforms. Quarterbacks, they should
- 17:43Speaker 1: have basically a jag button. Now follow me here, Oh,
- 17:47Speaker 1: where they get out of their uni Well, it's not
- 17:48Speaker 1: eject out of the uniform though, it's like an air
- 17:50Speaker 1: bag that comes out. Oh like as soon as it's suit. Yes,
- 17:55Speaker 1: as soon as you you don't got a slide, but
- 17:57Speaker 1: as soon as you hit the sumo suit, poof bubble.
- 18:00Speaker 4: It hits you, You're frozen right there. Everything ends up
- 18:04Speaker 4: looking like those helmet pads that they're wearing.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Now, yeah, yo comes, But imagine that though, because you
- 18:12Speaker 1: know as soon as you hit it, that's the yard
- 18:13Speaker 1: line you're on. So you're running. It's like on your hip.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Run run runs, hit the button one, you get crushed,
- 18:21Speaker 1: doesn't matter. An airbag number two, it's instantaneous. You can
- 18:27Speaker 1: see exactly where the airbag went off and then tell
- 18:33Speaker 1: me this is not running.
- 18:34Speaker 4: It's probably a little pricey, but genius.
- 18:36Speaker 1: The NFL makes billions of dollars a year, I'm saying,
- 18:39Speaker 1: and if good quarterbacks get hurt, that costs everybody. So
- 18:43Speaker 1: if there was some way to have even a top
- 18:46Speaker 1: half half air like as soon as you're you want
- 18:49Speaker 1: to call it out. Anybody hits you, Now you're in
- 18:53Speaker 1: an airbag two. We know exactly where it happened.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Does the tackler bounce once he hits whoa? It's like
- 19:00Speaker 4: a trampoline.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So I don't know how the airbag is yet, right,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I would say it doesn't have to be that dramatic.
- 19:05Speaker 6: I'm thinking like the bottom of a pile and somebody
- 19:06Speaker 6: hits it and everyone.
- 19:09Speaker 1: That's like video game, then be a thing. But there
- 19:13Speaker 1: needs to be some sort of like alert all kidding aside,
- 19:17Speaker 1: alert as to when that's happening, because otherwise you should
- 19:20Speaker 1: be able to git the quarterback because they're sliding late,
- 19:24Speaker 1: they're strategizing how to slide differently to get the most yards.
- 19:30Speaker 1: They're faking stepping out of bounds, and we have to
- 19:33Speaker 1: keep our quarterback safe because we've seen this. When our
- 19:35Speaker 1: quarterbacks get hurt, nobody cares to watch the games because
- 19:37Speaker 1: they're terrible. It's all Gardner Minshew on thirty six Teams
- 19:41Speaker 1: right clip that it was the nearest target. Thank you.
- 19:47Speaker 1: The final thing I want to say, Eddie, dear friend,
- 19:52Speaker 1: second level of my life, what's up man? Eddie dear
- 19:57Speaker 1: friend who claims he never looks at group chat or text,
- 20:01Speaker 1: never responds to them like he's like, I don't even
- 20:03Speaker 1: look at them. If you send in a group text,
- 20:06Speaker 1: just send it to me privately, because I'm too good
- 20:09Speaker 1: to look at a group text. I've never said I'm teking,
- 20:12Speaker 1: you know, but that's what you do.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Because but if it doesn't concern me.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Group, it concerns you. You're in a Dallas Cowboys group
- 20:19Speaker 1: with us, and they're all haters. You're in a whistles
- 20:22Speaker 1: betting group with the and I contribute to that. No
- 20:25Speaker 1: you don't. All of a sudden, we get a text
- 20:27Speaker 1: from Eddie with a video going happy Thanksgiving boys looking
- 20:29Speaker 1: at a parlay. The guy never even reads them, never
- 20:34Speaker 1: responds to them, but finally hits a one dollar bet
- 20:37Speaker 1: and wants everybody to know in the group text that
- 20:39Speaker 1: he pays no attention to. So pick a side. Either
- 20:44Speaker 1: you're part of the group in the text or you're not,
- 20:47Speaker 1: and if you're not, get out, and if you are,
- 20:50Speaker 1: we're happy to read and congratulate you. None of us
- 20:52Speaker 1: congratulated you because it wasn't that we weren't happy for
- 20:56Speaker 1: your parlay, because I think you hit like a ten
- 20:58Speaker 1: dollar ten one with a dollar. That's awesome. But it's
- 21:01Speaker 1: because you're such a douche when it comes to being
- 21:04Speaker 1: like I don't read group text.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Look, man, the cowboys. One can't stand it. A bunch
- 21:08Speaker 4: of cowboys haters in there. Even though they say they're
- 21:10Speaker 4: big fans, they are big fans.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Those are the biggest cowboy fans I know. But it's awesome.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Mike d's in it.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's also okay to poke. You poke, don't
- 21:19Speaker 4: like it, so I don't even read it. The whistles one.
- 21:21Speaker 4: I think there's a lot of good on Saturdays. That
- 21:23Speaker 4: text threat is booming. I like seeing what you guys are, watching,
- 21:27Speaker 4: what you think about.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Never respond, you say you never respond.
- 21:30Speaker 4: I don't respond.
- 21:32Speaker 1: No, you don't tell everybode what you sent. And you
- 21:34Speaker 1: can brage for a second, but I'm just saying, low
- 21:36Speaker 1: class guys.
- 21:38Speaker 4: I've made a seven game parlay again, and let me
- 21:41Speaker 4: tell you, this is the second that I've hit this season.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I've never hit these big parlays.
- 21:48Speaker 4: And what week two or three I hit a ten
- 21:50Speaker 4: gamer for three hundred dollars or something. You bet a dollar,
- 21:54Speaker 4: I bet one doll.
- 21:55Speaker 6: Some wear it from you.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the group chat come around with. Times are good.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Don't be that friend. But that is so don't be friend.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Don't you think that's so impressive, dude. I have parties
- 22:06Speaker 1: all time, and I'll share them. I have parties like
- 22:08Speaker 1: you hit seven gamers. I've hit a couple of five
- 22:10Speaker 1: and six gamers for like three and four thousand dollars.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I don't share them. I share the occasional one if
- 22:15Speaker 1: I'm like, guys, what should I do?
- 22:17Speaker 4: You should post those?
- 22:18Speaker 1: No, But I'm also like invested in the group text
- 22:21Speaker 1: like in general, good times are bad times.
- 22:24Speaker 4: I mean, I thought you guys wanted to see that.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Johnny come lately. We don't like that. So pick you
- 22:31Speaker 1: can either be a part of it. That doesn't mean
- 22:32Speaker 1: you have to contribute every day, but you can be
- 22:34Speaker 1: a part of it and respond with like thumbs ups,
- 22:36Speaker 1: hajas or not.
- 22:38Speaker 4: I'm in, Okay, I want in on this text route.
- 22:42Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 6: But if I could get like three of them and
- 22:44Speaker 6: you're on all of them, yeah, you know I don't.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I'm not a part of them. I don't want to
- 22:48Speaker 1: be a part of them. So you're in.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Did your feelings hurt if I don't respond?
- 22:53Speaker 1: We don't. But what we do go is what a
- 22:55Speaker 1: douchebag when you only do respond and it's only to
- 22:57Speaker 1: show them brag about something.
- 22:58Speaker 4: What's funny is whenever you take me like, hey man,
- 23:01Speaker 4: they're asking you a question the text group, can you
- 23:02Speaker 4: respond right?
- 23:04Speaker 1: Let me go back, And so it's like, hey man,
- 23:08Speaker 1: that really they need to know this, and he's like, oh, okay,
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'll go look, but all of a sudden he hops
- 23:13Speaker 1: on the first thing he finds it.
- 23:14Speaker 3: What do we do?
- 23:16Speaker 4: And I think I grouped you guys into my family
- 23:18Speaker 4: one because ever since my dad died and we went
- 23:20Speaker 4: to the funeral, I think all the cousins and uncles
- 23:22Speaker 4: got in this twenty person group.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Dude, my phone doesn't stop buzzing. I'm not in that one,
- 23:27Speaker 1: I know. And I think you're just grouped into that. No,
- 23:29Speaker 1: that when and you're not using your dad dying is
- 23:32Speaker 1: a way that make they come on. So that's all
- 23:36Speaker 1: I'm saying. Pick a side, wolf, respect it. I'm in.
- 23:40Speaker 1: That's not fair. I'm in.
- 23:41Speaker 4: I'm in as long as yeah, I'm in. I want
- 23:43Speaker 4: to be part of the girl. I like being part
- 23:45Speaker 4: of the group. And I now see the importance of
- 23:47Speaker 4: when you like want to celebrate some with your boys.
- 23:50Speaker 1: You put in that text threat and you know what happened.
- 23:52Speaker 1: We didn't celebrate crap with nothing. We don't like you
- 23:55Speaker 1: in that text nothing. That's it.
- 23:57Speaker 4: You called me out for not even responding, and then
- 24:00Speaker 4: Reid said you should have put more money on that.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Boom cliped that clip, Well, I thought we were gonna
- 24:08Speaker 1: hit our parlay I thought Daddy would have to come
- 24:11Speaker 1: in and actually enforce it. Daddy. Yeah, Uh, Tennessee minus
- 24:16Speaker 1: eleven hit that one. South Carolina plus two and a
- 24:19Speaker 1: half hit that one hit that on a big and
- 24:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you, I shouldn't let my
- 24:23Speaker 1: emotions get to me because I wanted to. You could
- 24:25Speaker 1: tell I wanted to go Texas, but I just couldn't
- 24:27Speaker 1: pick at It just wouldn't come out at Texas and
- 24:31Speaker 1: plus two and a half they lost, So that was
- 24:34Speaker 1: a parlay we missed again. But somebody hit me up
- 24:37Speaker 1: this weekend on Twitter and they were like, we're betting
- 24:39Speaker 1: the parlay again, thanks for nothing, And I'm like, guys,
- 24:42Speaker 1: we tell you don't bet it. Yeah, yeah, true. We
- 24:44Speaker 1: say it like we gave you specific bets we feel
- 24:46Speaker 1: good about, but the parlay, Like, what do you want
- 24:48Speaker 1: us to do? We're like, we're like one for ninety.
- 24:51Speaker 4: But to be fair, I even bet port noise. I
- 24:53Speaker 4: think at one point I didn't hit that one either.
- 24:55Speaker 4: It's hard. It's hard, man, unless you go with me
- 24:57Speaker 4: on Sundays and seven.
- 25:02Speaker 1: You're so stupid when you posted it, like I was
- 25:05Speaker 1: irrationally irritated at that I could tell because I was like,
- 25:09Speaker 1: what what is he doing? He talked about how he
- 25:10Speaker 1: doesn't want to be part of the group text, but
- 25:12Speaker 1: now he does when he likes to be celebrated. Scrolling down,
- 25:15Speaker 1: I didn't watch it.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Well you didn't watch me. No, I'll resend it.
- 25:17Speaker 1: No, no, thanks again?
- 25:19Speaker 6: You were Was it you that said that you had
- 25:21Speaker 6: a bunch of like alternate spreads though?
- 25:22Speaker 1: Didn't you know? Really?
- 25:24Speaker 7: No?
- 25:24Speaker 4: No, no, these are spreads welltime spreads.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Oh never know. Somebody else text me this weekend actually
- 25:30Speaker 1: by somebody who get contribute responds, Yes, I get mixed
- 25:34Speaker 1: up sometimes select two more players and choose if they'll
- 25:36Speaker 1: have more or less of a stack. I'm telling you
- 25:38Speaker 1: that the DraftKings pick six is awesome. So you can
- 25:42Speaker 1: just do too, or you can do more. They'll have
- 25:43Speaker 1: more or less of a stat like receptions or touchdowns,
- 25:46Speaker 1: or like bow next tonight, more or less than two
- 25:48Speaker 1: hundred nineteen passing yards. It's for sure more. Bow Next
- 25:51Speaker 1: is about to be Rookie of the year. Rookie here
- 25:56Speaker 1: call him Roy Nicks more, Courtland Sutton more or less
- 26:01Speaker 1: than sixty more? Yeah, yeah, Cortland Sutton more. Because we're
- 26:04Speaker 1: aroys throwing on the ball. Let's go uh, Nick Chubb
- 26:08Speaker 1: more or less than fifty six rushing yards.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Anything less on that.
- 26:12Speaker 1: One and Broncos defense pretty good. It is I go
- 26:15Speaker 1: less on that one. David and Joku more or less
- 26:17Speaker 1: than forty six receiving yards. I don't have an opinion
- 26:20Speaker 1: on that one.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Go less on that way.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Last, but anyway, you can do this and you pick
- 26:24Speaker 1: when it's awesome. Download the new DraftKings Pick six app

- 26:54Speaker 1: And now to our interview with three times Super Bowl
- 26:56Speaker 1: champion New England Patriot Devin mccordy. Kevin, were you geeking
- 27:00Speaker 1: out of this or now hick. Yeah, as soon as
- 27:02Speaker 1: I saw him Papapa on the calendar, I like, what
- 27:05Speaker 1: I think about it being a patriot and you being
- 27:06Speaker 1: a Patriot. But boy, yeah that's right, because that's cool.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Devin played thirteen Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, that is cool.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I didn't think about that. Devin played thirteen years in
- 27:16Speaker 1: the NFL as a defensive back. He was named Patriots
- 27:19Speaker 1: All Dynasty Team and they're All twenty ten team. And
- 27:22Speaker 1: now he worked for Sunday and at football does radio
- 27:24Speaker 1: for Westwood One. Pretty cool here he is Devin mccordy. Hey,
- 27:29Speaker 1: Devin Man, good to meet you. Appreciate the time, No,
- 27:31Speaker 1: no problem. Hey, I am actually pretty good friends with
- 27:35Speaker 1: a guy you went to college with and played in
- 27:37Speaker 1: the pros Logan Ryan. Like that's that's like, my dude,
- 27:40Speaker 1: Like whenever you are play, I mean when you're in
- 27:43Speaker 1: college and you and Logant, you guys played together for
- 27:46Speaker 1: how many years?
- 27:47Speaker 5: Just one year? Logan was there my last year and
- 27:50Speaker 5: so did you.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Guys both feel like you had the skills to play
- 27:53Speaker 1: at the next level? And do you talk about that
- 27:55Speaker 1: as guys who are like projected to go to the
- 27:56Speaker 1: next level.
- 27:57Speaker 7: I mean, I didn't when I first got to school,
- 27:59Speaker 7: but time Logan was there, Yeah, I knew my brother
- 28:02Speaker 7: was already in the NFL, but low came in as
- 28:05Speaker 7: like a four star recruit, so it was it was
- 28:07Speaker 7: actually pretty cool. I moved my seat back in the
- 28:10Speaker 7: meeting to sit between Logan and another corner. We had
- 28:13Speaker 7: to try to teach them everything I knew in my
- 28:16Speaker 7: last year before leaving.
- 28:18Speaker 1: So whenever you get up and you know you guys
- 28:20Speaker 1: are both Rutgers guys, do you try to is he
- 28:23Speaker 1: receptive to learning then what you have just learned or
- 28:26Speaker 1: does every rookie kind of got to learn themselves a
- 28:28Speaker 1: hard way?
- 28:29Speaker 7: No, Logan was really good when he came in as
- 28:31Speaker 7: a freshman. He was like, man like, teach me everything
- 28:35Speaker 7: you know. And then obviously fast forward how he came to.
- 28:38Speaker 5: New England the same way.
- 28:40Speaker 7: And then it was cool for me to see once
- 28:42Speaker 7: he left New England like he became that guy for
- 28:45Speaker 7: all of his other teammates, the leader, the kind of
- 28:48Speaker 7: example to set, you know, for everybody in a defensive room.
- 28:51Speaker 5: So it was really cool to see him do that.
- 28:53Speaker 1: A few months ago, was down at his house and
- 28:55Speaker 1: he's got a pickleball court, like right out the middle
- 28:56Speaker 1: of everything. He likes to dominate people at pickleball now
- 28:59Speaker 1: because he had to find that do what is your
- 29:01Speaker 1: what is your athletic outlet now that you will train
- 29:04Speaker 1: or beat people in to feel good, just.
- 29:07Speaker 7: Really working out. I'll go down in the basement and
- 29:10Speaker 7: work out and I'll still do stuff like that. But
- 29:13Speaker 7: other than that, on vacation, you know what we'll do.
- 29:15Speaker 7: We'll play pool volleyball. And my wife got mad because
- 29:19Speaker 7: I cut her off the team when we're in Mexico,
- 29:21Speaker 7: but picked up picked up a free agent. It was
- 29:24Speaker 7: it was critical to our team's success. And I told
- 29:26Speaker 7: her she'll understand because when I win, she wins. But
- 29:30Speaker 7: she she wasn't too happy.
- 29:32Speaker 1: When you were a kid, were you ultra competitive?
- 29:35Speaker 5: Yeah, when you.
- 29:35Speaker 7: Grew up with a twin, like we were competitive, and like,
- 29:38Speaker 7: we'll play basketball and not keep score and legit, we'll
- 29:41Speaker 7: play basketball one on one outside for three hours, or
- 29:45Speaker 7: we play video games non stop until my mom told
- 29:48Speaker 7: us either we turned off the video game where she
- 29:51Speaker 7: was gonna break the whole thing. We would just we
- 29:54Speaker 7: would just go out and as much as we went
- 29:55Speaker 7: out at one on one usually behind closed door with
- 29:58Speaker 7: just us. We'll be each other's biggest teammates. But from
- 30:01Speaker 7: that standpoint, I think it kind of built the foundation
- 30:05Speaker 7: of never really letting someone be better than you and
- 30:07Speaker 7: out competing them and everything we did because you just
- 30:11Speaker 7: naturally had a competitor with you and everything that you
- 30:14Speaker 7: would pick up and do.
- 30:16Speaker 1: When I think about you, obviously, I think about the Patriots,
- 30:18Speaker 1: and I wonder as a guy who played at such
- 30:20Speaker 1: a high level won super Bowls when you have a
- 30:23Speaker 1: season like this season with the Patriots and you love them,
- 30:26Speaker 1: you were a part of them, and there is Hey,
- 30:29Speaker 1: it's hard to root against your team, but you also
- 30:32Speaker 1: know that if your team loses, you'll have you'll have
- 30:34Speaker 1: better draft picks. Like where do you fall with your
- 30:37Speaker 1: love for the team and also your love for your
- 30:40Speaker 1: team getting better because sometimes they don't match.
- 30:42Speaker 5: Yeah, man, it's it's hard.
- 30:44Speaker 7: And I think the biggest thing you want when you're
- 30:46Speaker 7: looking at a team that you you know you're a
- 30:48Speaker 7: fan of, is you want the foundation to be set.
- 30:51Speaker 7: And I think for the Patriots, you're trying to establish
- 30:53Speaker 7: that this year. And I know it's been so much
- 30:56Speaker 7: back and forth of you know, the expectations and what
- 30:58Speaker 7: people want, and you know, I think for me coming
- 31:01Speaker 7: into this season, I'm like, if this team wins five
- 31:04Speaker 7: or six games, that to me would have been a
- 31:07Speaker 7: success story because where they were last year, everything that
- 31:11Speaker 7: kind of transpiring. And then the season starts and they
- 31:13Speaker 7: lose some key guys to injuries. They're struggling. I think
- 31:17Speaker 7: the key is you start to look ahead. You look
- 31:20Speaker 7: to see, all right, who's in a draft that might
- 31:22Speaker 7: help this team? How can they get better in multiple
- 31:26Speaker 7: places as a trading back and getting you know, five
- 31:29Speaker 7: players instead of getting two players.
- 31:31Speaker 5: They're really trying to figure it out.
- 31:32Speaker 7: I think the cool thing is doing the football stuff
- 31:35Speaker 7: is I follow the Patriots, but I don't get to
- 31:37Speaker 7: be like fully In doles in just the Patriots, trying
- 31:41Speaker 7: to watch every other team and then honestly watching the
- 31:44Speaker 7: good teams. And right now, my guys up in New
- 31:47Speaker 7: England are not one of the good teams that you
- 31:48Speaker 7: need to be watching week after week. But it's fun
- 31:52Speaker 7: now I get to watch their journey with a lot
- 31:54Speaker 7: of my friends leading and seeing what they're able to do.
- 31:57Speaker 5: So it's been a journey this year, not a not
- 32:00Speaker 5: a fun one to watch.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Though, so maybe not a fun one to watch either.
- 32:03Speaker 1: But you are a professional. Do you root against the
- 32:05Speaker 1: Chiefs because you don't want them to out dynasty you?
- 32:07Speaker 5: I actually don't.
- 32:08Speaker 7: I think it's unique to be able to watch a
- 32:11Speaker 7: team do so many different things, and it's fun for
- 32:14Speaker 7: me every week to go on and compare some of
- 32:17Speaker 7: the things that they're doing to what we were able
- 32:19Speaker 7: to do in all of the years I was on
- 32:21Speaker 7: the Patriots. The ability to win games so many different ways,
- 32:25Speaker 7: but also to win games and be talked about them
- 32:28Speaker 7: not winning by enough. Like I've watched them sports things
- 32:31Speaker 7: and they'll pull up and they like the Chiefs points
- 32:33Speaker 7: differential isn't high enough to make them one of the
- 32:36Speaker 7: better teams in the league, And I'm like, who, Like
- 32:38Speaker 7: you think the Chiefs care about how many points they
- 32:41Speaker 7: win by?
- 32:42Speaker 5: To me, they're the most feared team in the league.
- 32:44Speaker 5: No one wants to play them in the playoffs.
- 32:46Speaker 7: But I honestly, for one, it gives me something to
- 32:48Speaker 7: talk about, gives me a reason I have a job
- 32:51Speaker 7: because of what we were able to do, and and
- 32:54Speaker 7: it gives me a platform to talk about it and
- 32:56Speaker 7: compare it. So I'm not one of those guys. I
- 32:58Speaker 7: think history and what you're able to do, it's meant
- 33:00Speaker 7: to be broken or meant to be mentioned with other people.
- 33:04Speaker 7: And watching what the Chiefs were able to do are
- 33:06Speaker 7: able to do right now has been a lot of fun.
- 33:08Speaker 7: I don't I don't see it as like how do
- 33:10Speaker 7: we continue to elevate our voices by being done? And
- 33:13Speaker 7: I know, like the undefeated Dolphins team toast every year
- 33:16Speaker 7: when the team loses all that's been undefeated throughout the season.
- 33:20Speaker 7: But for me, I think what they're doing is it's
- 33:23Speaker 7: it's awesome to see uh and fun to break down.
- 33:26Speaker 7: They're defining all odds.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Speaking of things that have just been fun to talk about.
- 33:31Speaker 1: We can go either New York team, So let's go
- 33:34Speaker 1: Jets first. I don't even know where to start. We
- 33:37Speaker 1: can go Rogers, we can go Sala, who is now
- 33:40Speaker 1: you know over there working with the pack, Like, what
- 33:42Speaker 1: is happening with the Jets and what in the world
- 33:44Speaker 1: can they do to be good in the next few years?
- 33:46Speaker 5: Isn't it funny?
- 33:47Speaker 7: Though? We talked about the Jets and we were like,
- 33:50Speaker 7: you know, so many people were like, Sala, he's the problem.
- 33:52Speaker 5: Get rid of Sola. This team was bad before.
- 33:56Speaker 7: But when Robert Sala was fired, they were one win
- 33:59Speaker 7: going Monday night game against Buffalo from being the division leaders.
- 34:04Speaker 7: Since he's been fired, this whole thing has went even
- 34:09Speaker 7: more downhill.
- 34:10Speaker 5: And I know I live in New.
- 34:12Speaker 7: Jersey, so what people say and all of that stuff,
- 34:15Speaker 7: they are all over this has nothing to do with Salah,
- 34:17Speaker 7: but you got to give the guy some credit.
- 34:19Speaker 5: The people think he was a poor leader and all
- 34:22Speaker 5: of this.
- 34:22Speaker 7: This team looks terrible now, and to me, it just
- 34:25Speaker 7: shines a light on what we see throughout the NFL.
- 34:28Speaker 7: A lot of times, is the head coach a general manager,
- 34:31Speaker 7: they don't get to make the ultimate decisions.
- 34:33Speaker 1: It's the owner.
- 34:34Speaker 7: And Woody Johnson has put himself back in kind of
- 34:37Speaker 7: the spotlight of Hey, we're gonna get rid of Sala,
- 34:40Speaker 7: We're gonna get rid of Douglas. Hey. And by the way,
- 34:43Speaker 7: I was the guy I wanted to bench Aaron Rodgers
- 34:45Speaker 7: right around Week four.
- 34:46Speaker 5: So this team, to me is a disaster.
- 34:49Speaker 7: And you know, I was just on a Pro Football
- 34:51Speaker 7: talk with Mike Florio and his thing is you fire
- 34:55Speaker 7: Mike Tannenbaum years ago, and now you hire Mike Tannebaum's
- 34:59Speaker 7: media company need to help you put out the head
- 35:02Speaker 7: coach and general manager search and figure out how that's
- 35:06Speaker 7: all going to work out. It It just makes no sense.
- 35:09Speaker 7: It seems like the Jets. And it's sad to say,
- 35:11Speaker 7: because I think they have one of the best fan
- 35:14Speaker 7: bases in the NFL of people just wanting to support
- 35:17Speaker 7: and waiting for this team to do well. And they
- 35:19Speaker 7: all thought last year was a year you go get
- 35:21Speaker 7: Aaron Rodgers. Everything's supposed to take care of himself. He
- 35:24Speaker 7: gets hurt, he comes back this year and it's even worse.
- 35:27Speaker 7: Like to think about how this team could get any worse,
- 35:30Speaker 7: is I mean, it's crazy. But I think for this team,
- 35:34Speaker 7: it'll be attractive to general managers and head coaches because
- 35:38Speaker 7: they have a lot of talent. The thing they have
- 35:40Speaker 7: to figure out is does anyone want to come in
- 35:43Speaker 7: and work under Woody Johnson right now?
- 35:45Speaker 5: Like that that is the issue. But you pay guys well.
- 35:48Speaker 7: Enough and they're well compensated, they'll come in and do
- 35:50Speaker 7: their job and try to figure it out. But there's
- 35:53Speaker 7: a good amount of talent on this Jets team. They
- 35:54Speaker 7: got to figure out what they're going to do at
- 35:56Speaker 7: quarterback next year. Is he going to be Aaron Rodgers,
- 35:58Speaker 7: are they going to move on? And some other places.
- 36:01Speaker 7: You look at Breise Hall, you let Garrel Wilson, You
- 36:03Speaker 7: look at the guys on this defense.
- 36:05Speaker 5: They have talent.
- 36:07Speaker 7: They just can never figure out how to get this
- 36:09Speaker 7: ship pointed in the right direction. And it's plagued this
- 36:12Speaker 7: franchise for years and just seems like you're still scratching
- 36:16Speaker 7: your head and wondering where will this thing go and
- 36:19Speaker 7: when will they ever get it figured out?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Who would you rather coach Underwoody Johnson or Jerry Jones.
- 36:25Speaker 5: I think Jerry Jones.
- 36:28Speaker 7: I think Jerry Jones from this standpoint of He's done
- 36:32Speaker 7: really well in the draft. The Cowboys have, like when
- 36:35Speaker 7: you look at the guys they draft, they have talent,
- 36:38Speaker 7: and I think one of the biggest things that will
- 36:40Speaker 7: stick out is they have a quarterback.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Dak Prescott is there.
- 36:43Speaker 7: So if I'm gonna go and have to deal with
- 36:45Speaker 7: an owner, I think I'm gonna go deal with Jerry Jones,
- 36:48Speaker 7: who at least will be front and center taking questions saying, hey,
- 36:54Speaker 7: the general manager's not going anywhere because I'm the general manager.
- 36:57Speaker 5: I'm not firing me.
- 36:59Speaker 7: But if you want a credit side somebody on what
- 37:01Speaker 7: pre agency we have, how the team's been built.
- 37:04Speaker 5: I'm Jerry Jones, I'm the general manager.
- 37:06Speaker 7: Like, I rather deal with that than somebody pulling me
- 37:09Speaker 7: into the office and saying do this, do that, do this,
- 37:12Speaker 7: and then it all coming down on me. No, Like,
- 37:14Speaker 7: if we're in this together and you're going to be
- 37:16Speaker 7: making decisions, go out there and make the decision. I
- 37:19Speaker 7: might not like it or agree with it, but at
- 37:21Speaker 7: least it's your decision and it's.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Known to everybody.
- 37:23Speaker 7: Rather than me having to be the guy that's pulling
- 37:26Speaker 7: a string, well not pulling the strings, but actually having
- 37:29Speaker 7: my strings pulled in different directions.
- 37:31Speaker 5: I'd rather not have to go through that one.
- 37:33Speaker 1: This will be pure speculation on your part. But they
- 37:37Speaker 1: just agree to pay Dak fifty million bucks a year.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Any chance they move on from Dak if they're able
- 37:43Speaker 1: to have that one two or three draft pick, and
- 37:46Speaker 1: you know should or Sanders is one, cam Warden, I mean,
- 37:49Speaker 1: would the Cowboys do that? Any chance?
- 37:52Speaker 5: It would be hard?
- 37:52Speaker 7: I think, like when you when you first signed a contract,
- 37:55Speaker 7: Like the amount of money that they would lose and
- 37:58Speaker 7: they would have to eat and guarantee and cap and
- 38:01Speaker 7: dead cap and all of that stuff.
- 38:02Speaker 5: However, all of those numbers get worked out. It's above
- 38:06Speaker 5: my pay grade.
- 38:06Speaker 7: But once you figure all that in, I don't think
- 38:09Speaker 7: there's a way that they can, you know, get rid
- 38:12Speaker 7: of Dak Prescott this year. The interesting thing will be
- 38:15Speaker 7: if they get a chance, do they try to draft
- 38:17Speaker 7: a guy that they see for the future.
- 38:19Speaker 5: If there's a guy who falls in the draft, there's.
- 38:22Speaker 7: Something like that and they or yeah, it falls at
- 38:24Speaker 7: the end of the first round and they trade back
- 38:26Speaker 7: up in the first round, do they do something like
- 38:29Speaker 7: that like we saw Green Bay do when they drafted
- 38:31Speaker 7: Jordan Love in the later rounds. I think it was
- 38:34Speaker 7: twenty third when they drafted him. With that pick, it
- 38:37Speaker 7: was kind of like, Okay, we're drafting the successor to
- 38:40Speaker 7: Aaron Rodgers. Now, obviously it created a storm in Green
- 38:43Speaker 7: Bay drafting him, but I think that will be an
- 38:46Speaker 7: interesting thing. But the problem with that is it shows
- 38:49Speaker 7: a dysfunction. You just pay a guy all that money
- 38:52Speaker 7: and then you draft a guy for the future. It
- 38:55Speaker 7: doesn't make much sense. But I think when you talk
- 38:58Speaker 7: about the Cowboys and you talk about the j just
- 39:00Speaker 7: like I don't think it has to make sense.
- 39:02Speaker 5: They could easily do something like that and none of
- 39:04Speaker 5: us would be surprised.
- 39:06Speaker 1: I mean, Atlanta kind of just did that right with Cousins,
- 39:09Speaker 1: and then I mean even if you look back at
- 39:12Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love, like Rogers got all pussy
- 39:14Speaker 1: when they drafted Jordan Love. I mean, so it has
- 39:17Speaker 1: been done, and I would say the Packers are actually
- 39:21Speaker 1: a team we expect to win. The Falcons maybe not
- 39:23Speaker 1: so much, but yeah, I mean after all that and
- 39:25Speaker 1: making Dak wait in the last minute fifty million a
- 39:29Speaker 1: year and then draft and another quarterback, Like, but that
- 39:32Speaker 1: would be that. I don't know if I get to
- 39:34Speaker 1: your Cowboys fan, how would you feel about that? I mean,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I like it.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Because we're not doing anything right now anyway, but that
- 39:39Speaker 4: I feel like if that were Deck, I wouldn't like
- 39:42Speaker 4: that one bit.
- 39:44Speaker 1: You ever get drafted and that's it.
- 39:47Speaker 7: I was just gonna say, and that's the thing with
- 39:49Speaker 7: the Cowboys, Like, is this move gonna make you a
- 39:52Speaker 7: better football team and win?
- 39:55Speaker 5: Probably not, But is the move gonna get you talked
- 39:57Speaker 5: about on every network every.
- 39:58Speaker 7: Single day of the week. Yeah, it's definitely gonna do it.
- 40:00Speaker 7: And we've seen over the last twenty something years that
- 40:04Speaker 7: has seemed to be one of the main things that
- 40:06Speaker 7: Cowboys look for. They make a ton of money because
- 40:09Speaker 7: they're always talked about their America's team all of that.
- 40:12Speaker 7: I don't know if winning is as important to the
- 40:14Speaker 7: Cowboys as everyone thinks that it is, especially their fan base.
- 40:17Speaker 7: I think their fan base thinks winning is important, but
- 40:19Speaker 7: I'm not sure inside that building in the higher Roughs
- 40:22Speaker 7: offices that they care as much about winning or selling
- 40:25Speaker 7: tickets or merchandise.
- 40:27Speaker 1: You ever get drafted behind the meaning they drafted on
- 40:29Speaker 1: the dB, maybe not to replace you, but you felt like, dang,
- 40:31Speaker 1: they just drafted somebody up and spent a good pick
- 40:34Speaker 1: on them to play my position. How did that feel
- 40:36Speaker 1: to you?
- 40:36Speaker 5: Man?
- 40:37Speaker 7: Every year you're watching the draft and everybody thinks that
- 40:39Speaker 7: you're watching to see who you get to make you better?
- 40:41Speaker 7: Are you just trying to see are they trying to
- 40:43Speaker 7: get me out of the door. They didn't let him
- 40:45Speaker 7: on replacement? Are they going younger?
- 40:47Speaker 5: Like that's what guys watched the draft about.
- 40:49Speaker 7: So yeah, there was plenty of times that there were
- 40:52Speaker 7: guys being drafted in a the dB room and I'll
- 40:54Speaker 7: be like, all right, like I gotta go even my
- 40:56Speaker 7: guys from Rutgers when Logan Ryan and Deron Harmon got
- 40:59Speaker 7: drafted in the third round, Like, I know that I
- 41:02Speaker 7: knew those guys personally.
- 41:03Speaker 5: I knew they were smart, tough, good football players. I'm like,
- 41:07Speaker 5: I got it. I gotta get going.
- 41:08Speaker 7: I gotta make sure I stay young and I continue
- 41:11Speaker 7: to grind in the offseason because every year teams are
- 41:14Speaker 7: trying to get younger, and especially as you get to
- 41:16Speaker 7: the second contract and you're making more money, if they
- 41:19Speaker 7: can find a guy that's just you know, maybe not
- 41:22Speaker 7: as good as you right now, but eventually they think
- 41:24Speaker 7: will be better. You can you can seal it, like
- 41:27Speaker 7: they're gonna get rid of you, they're gonna move on.
- 41:29Speaker 7: So every year in the NFL it's a fight for
- 41:31Speaker 7: older guys to stay young and try to keep your job.
- 41:34Speaker 5: So I'm sure you know, I don't think Kirk Cousins
- 41:36Speaker 5: was happy.
- 41:37Speaker 7: It kind of came out a little bit this year,
- 41:38Speaker 7: but he signed at Lanta and then you draft Michael
- 41:41Speaker 7: Pennick junior. And I know, right now they seem to
- 41:43Speaker 7: be in a good spot because of the wins they
- 41:46Speaker 7: banked earlier in the season, but they haven't been playing
- 41:48Speaker 7: their best ball.
- 41:49Speaker 5: So if they fall out of playoff contention, like, there's
- 41:52Speaker 5: no saying.
- 41:52Speaker 7: They don't say, hey, let's start this Michael Pennick's journey
- 41:56Speaker 7: earlier than later, so you can't control it. One thing
- 42:00Speaker 7: I've always done is I've always tried to be a
- 42:02Speaker 7: great teammates to all the younger guys because they're not
- 42:06Speaker 7: Their job is to come in and take your job.
- 42:07Speaker 7: They want to do the same thing you were able
- 42:09Speaker 7: to do when you were a young guy. So the
- 42:11Speaker 7: thing is as a player, you got to go be better.
- 42:14Speaker 7: You can't get mad. And you've heard stories of veterans
- 42:17Speaker 7: withholding information or not helping guys and different things like that.
- 42:20Speaker 7: That to me, that never works out. That young guy's
- 42:23Speaker 7: better than you. Eventually he's going to figure it out.
- 42:25Speaker 7: He's going to take your spot. You're not helping the
- 42:27Speaker 7: cause by just being an a hole to him. You
- 42:29Speaker 7: might as well help the guy out and pass on
- 42:32Speaker 7: what guys did.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Before you as well.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Jamis Winston is very much a TikTok quarterback and that
- 42:36Speaker 1: he's just funny and clips like I love watching Jamison
- 42:39Speaker 1: clips on TikTok post game during game. The clip of
- 42:43Speaker 1: him going somebody jump off sides. Come on, He's like
- 42:45Speaker 1: screaming at the line Like Jamis seems like a guy
- 42:48Speaker 1: that everybody in the locker room likes, Like who is that?
- 42:50Speaker 1: And it could be a quarterback you played against or
- 42:53Speaker 1: one that was on your team that was just so
- 42:55Speaker 1: freaking lovable it was lovable.
- 42:57Speaker 7: Well one I'll say this too about Jamis, what would
- 42:59Speaker 7: happen if Cleveland season that they would have put Jamis
- 43:01Speaker 7: in earlier. Not to say he's the greatest thing ever,
- 43:04Speaker 7: but you just said it. The energy, the way the
- 43:06Speaker 7: team reacts to him, it just seems like that would
- 43:09Speaker 7: have taken off and helped his Browns team. But I'll
- 43:12Speaker 7: name to one of the guys that I love playing
- 43:15Speaker 7: against was Philip Rivers never cursed on the field, talk
- 43:18Speaker 7: trash all the time.
- 43:19Speaker 5: But here you had this guy who had like eight
- 43:21Speaker 5: or nine kids and he never cursed. It's like, how
- 43:24Speaker 5: do you not get that man? The one you go
- 43:26Speaker 5: from at home yelling.
- 43:27Speaker 7: At kids all day, then guys are chasing you, hitting you,
- 43:30Speaker 7: and you still don't curse.
- 43:32Speaker 5: It was so impressive to see like that was he
- 43:35Speaker 5: was that guy.
- 43:36Speaker 7: And one of the other guys to me is one
- 43:39Speaker 7: of the more obvious guys by having Gronk as a teammate,
- 43:42Speaker 7: like Gronk was the guy that did everything that coach
- 43:46Speaker 7: Belichick would say we don't want to do and just
- 43:48Speaker 7: never got in trouble for it. Like you get mad
- 43:51Speaker 7: at him because he was out somewhere and he starts
- 43:54Speaker 7: dancing or acting a fool, and it'd be like the
- 43:56Speaker 7: one thing Bill said, all right, this weekend, guys, let's
- 43:58Speaker 7: lay low.
- 43:58Speaker 5: Or blah blah blah.
- 44:00Speaker 7: Gronk would be all over social media, all over some websites,
- 44:03Speaker 7: and Bill would come in and he would go to like,
- 44:05Speaker 7: get on Gronk, and Gronk would give some kind of
- 44:08Speaker 7: answer and Bill would start laughing. The whole room would
- 44:11Speaker 7: start cracking up like that was just Gronk, his soundbites,
- 44:14Speaker 7: everything about him was always fun in games. He was
- 44:18Speaker 7: that one teammate that you knew it would be instant laughs,
- 44:22Speaker 7: but you also knew what you got on the field.
- 44:24Speaker 7: He was going to be a problem for any team
- 44:26Speaker 7: to have to deal with.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Two final questions, You ever pick Brady off in practice?
- 44:31Speaker 5: Of course?
- 44:32Speaker 7: And I kept the ball, and I think Brady off
- 44:34Speaker 7: every single time I didn't do I didn't do like Logan.
- 44:37Speaker 7: Did you know Logan signed off that last ball and
- 44:40Speaker 7: we saw it on social media for like the next
- 44:42Speaker 7: six months and telling us how he ended Tom Brady's
- 44:45Speaker 7: career in New England. So, nah, Man, anytime you pick
- 44:49Speaker 7: off Brady, you know that's a.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Special one final question because Sunday that football you're great
- 44:54Speaker 1: and you're also doing the west Wood One the broadcast,
- 44:56Speaker 1: They're like, what have you learned about this part of
- 44:58Speaker 1: the business that maybe you didn't until you got into it.
- 45:01Speaker 7: Man, the end of player, how many times you hear
- 45:06Speaker 7: the media is bad, this guy's gonna do this, She's
- 45:09Speaker 7: gonna say that.
- 45:10Speaker 5: Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 45:12Speaker 7: When you're on the outside and you're sitting in all
- 45:14Speaker 7: of these meetings or you get to meet different people
- 45:16Speaker 7: and you get to know them, everybody's best friends with
- 45:19Speaker 7: the media, the head coaches, the general managers, the owners.
- 45:23Speaker 7: As a player, you don't know that inside information gets leaked.
- 45:28Speaker 7: I used to wonder, like, man, who's the guy in
- 45:30Speaker 7: the locker room that's talking to these guys telling them everything?
- 45:33Speaker 5: And I didn't know it was the damn team.
- 45:35Speaker 7: The team was telling all of the things that they
- 45:37Speaker 7: wanted out there, and now that I'm in the media,
- 45:40Speaker 7: I see how it works. And as a player, you
- 45:43Speaker 7: had no idea these people who are insiders and different
- 45:46Speaker 7: things like that. They're best friends, are your coaches, your
- 45:50Speaker 7: head coaches, your position coaches, your GM So that was
- 45:54Speaker 7: something that I felt like when I got into the media,
- 45:56Speaker 7: I was like, man, I'm in the inner circle. Now
- 45:59Speaker 7: I know all of the goods. I know more than
- 46:01Speaker 7: I ever knew.
- 46:02Speaker 5: As a player.
- 46:02Speaker 7: So it's it's definitely different when you think of it
- 46:06Speaker 7: as a player in that perspective and now being done
- 46:09Speaker 7: and fully being involved in it.
- 46:11Speaker 1: And we mentioned this before you came on, but uh,
- 46:13Speaker 1: if you listening to this, you can go to mccordy
- 46:15Speaker 1: twins dot com to see all the work that Devin
- 46:17Speaker 1: and Jason do for their local communities and charities and
- 46:20Speaker 1: how you can be involved. And dude, you're doing awesome.
- 46:23Speaker 1: You're freaking great and all the work do you do,
- 46:26Speaker 1: even like going on as guests, but you know you're
- 46:28Speaker 1: signing that football stuff. So we appreciate the time you
- 46:30Speaker 1: gave us. We'll be watching, keep up the good work,
- 46:32Speaker 1: and hopefully we'll talk to you again soon.
- 46:34Speaker 5: Appreciate it, man, thanks for having me on today.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Thanks to having we can share our personal stories. I'll
- 46:39Speaker 1: go first. Missouri beat US. We suck. We went six
- 46:42Speaker 1: and six. We lost to Oklahoma State. Those a stupid game.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Oklama State didn't win a conference game this year. I'm
- 46:46Speaker 1: so just I'm almost apathetic, except it can't be because
- 46:51Speaker 1: I just love Arkansas Ready to BA football in Arkansas
- 46:54Speaker 1: sports so much. It just what's the use?
- 46:58Speaker 4: What's the use o camera? Wait?
- 47:01Speaker 1: A big fight in Thanksgiving and it all was rooted
- 47:02Speaker 1: to me being pissed about the game.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Who got into a fight?
- 47:04Speaker 1: Me and everybody, the whole family. I stormed out, went upstairs.
- 47:08Speaker 1: And it wasn't just about the game. But that's what
- 47:10Speaker 1: triggered me. I was that guy. I was like, you, guys,
- 47:14Speaker 1: just don't understand. What did say? Well, she wasn't very
- 47:17Speaker 1: happy about it.
- 47:18Speaker 4: Was she on your side?
- 47:19Speaker 1: Though she was on your side, there was no side.
- 47:21Speaker 1: What did you say? It doesn't matter. I don't eve
- 47:23Speaker 1: want to relive it because it was bad and I
- 47:25Speaker 1: was so pissed at every that was the world. And
- 47:28Speaker 1: I was like, guys, please don't trigger me. I even
- 47:30Speaker 1: begged please don't trigger me.
- 47:31Speaker 4: Were they messing with you a little bit?
- 47:33Speaker 1: Not even about that, It's about something else. But I
- 47:34Speaker 1: was like, I've had a rough one, don't.
- 47:40Speaker 4: I I understand. I'm laughing because I understand, dude, I understand.
- 47:43Speaker 1: I begged him, please don't. And then we lost. We
- 47:46Speaker 1: lost basketball too, to Illinois, and that's bad. I was like,
- 47:49Speaker 1: please don't, please don't, please don't, because guess it's not
- 47:51Speaker 1: going to be good, like I know the evil monster
- 47:54Speaker 1: that lives inside. And it wasn't. It was about something
- 47:56Speaker 1: completely different, and I went, it was not good. Oh no,
- 47:59Speaker 1: how long were you in your room? I went up
- 48:02Speaker 1: to my room about four. I didn't come out to
- 48:03Speaker 1: the next day. By the way, I wasn't even I
- 48:09Speaker 1: wasn't even in my house. I was at their house.
- 48:12Speaker 6: You're running away?
- 48:15Speaker 1: What are you doing? Yeah? It sucked, guys, and I'm
- 48:20Speaker 1: not happy with it, but I understand it. And you
- 48:23Speaker 1: know what, I forgive me for it. It just asked
- 48:27Speaker 1: you to pass the turkey.
- 48:28Speaker 7: Man.
- 48:28Speaker 1: It's not good, but it's it. I And every year
- 48:32Speaker 1: I'm like, why do I give so much of like
- 48:34Speaker 1: my heart, soul, passion to something that doesn't care about me?
- 48:39Speaker 1: But I do, and we're six and six some bad losses.
- 48:45Speaker 1: We got that one lucky Tennessee win. Happy for it,
- 48:49Speaker 1: but we're not going to make any changes and that sucks.
- 48:54Speaker 1: And I've said before, I think my comparison last week
- 48:57Speaker 1: was I compared coach Pittman, who I like as a
- 49:00Speaker 1: person a lot, to Geno Smith, who's a fine enough quarterback.
- 49:03Speaker 1: And do you know how a good in winning the game? Yeah? Yeah,
- 49:06Speaker 1: But again, there's a ceiling. There's a ceiling. And I
- 49:09Speaker 1: think Pittman has changed the culture, which is great because
- 49:12Speaker 1: we were under coach Morris was not good. But and
- 49:16Speaker 1: if he wants one more year or great, but it's not.
- 49:19Speaker 1: I mean, we're not gonna win eight or nine games
- 49:21Speaker 1: next year. But yeah, I know, I don't. I don't
- 49:23Speaker 1: like that. But anyway, Missouri beat us, and they beat us.
- 49:27Speaker 1: It's snow game, right, there's snow game.
- 49:29Speaker 6: What were your expectations coming into the year, Like, if
- 49:31Speaker 6: you would have said six and six, would you have
- 49:33Speaker 6: been like, okay, probably six.
- 49:35Speaker 1: And six if you just at the beginning of the year,
- 49:36Speaker 1: I've been like, based on what we have, okay. But
- 49:40Speaker 1: here's the problem that I have with all these media
- 49:43Speaker 1: people in Arkansas first of all, their state run media
- 49:46Speaker 1: because they know and I understand if they talk about
- 49:48Speaker 1: out arkansall, they won't have credential to go to the stuff.
- 49:50Speaker 1: And that's the only thing in town. Yeah, so I
- 49:52Speaker 1: completely understand. Like there are two guys I like Bo
- 49:55Speaker 1: and Chuck who work for the university, but they also
- 49:58Speaker 1: do a radio show and they're always like, hey, hey,
- 50:00Speaker 1: you get what a game. We really put hard and
- 50:02Speaker 1: soul into it, and like they're people are like, you're
- 50:04Speaker 1: propagandaing the state. It's like, no, their paychecks come from
- 50:07Speaker 1: the university aside from the radio thing. But I would
- 50:10Speaker 1: do that too, I think where I don't have to
- 50:13Speaker 1: do that, So I don't if you would have said
- 50:17Speaker 1: six six the beginning of the year, I'd have been like,
- 50:19Speaker 1: I don't like that. But I understand it because I
- 50:22Speaker 1: think five and a half was what Vegas had put
- 50:23Speaker 1: the line at, maybe even four and a half. I'm
- 50:25Speaker 1: not sure, but to see how week some of the
- 50:29Speaker 1: teams were we played, it's it's different now that we've
- 50:31Speaker 1: had the season. We should not have lost to Oklahoma State.
- 50:34Speaker 1: That game was a disaster. We should not have lost
- 50:37Speaker 1: to Missouri. That's a bad Game two. We gave it
- 50:39Speaker 1: up at the end. Listen, we had Texas A and
- 50:41Speaker 1: M on the ropes. And you're not gonna win every game.
- 50:44Speaker 1: You're always when people are like, we're three plays away
- 50:46Speaker 1: from nine, okay, just even one of the three, and
- 50:51Speaker 1: then you're seven and five with a chance to have
- 50:52Speaker 1: a like, that's a different Seven to five is different
- 50:55Speaker 1: than six and six, if it's regardless. I'm sorry for Thanksgiving.
- 51:03Speaker 1: I want to know so bad now. Don't have my please,
- 51:06Speaker 1: I won't trust me. I don't want to because I
- 51:07Speaker 1: don't want to have it happening again. She was like,
- 51:10Speaker 1: you talked about it with Eddie. I don't want it.
- 51:12Speaker 4: No, I won't bring it up. I tell you about
- 51:14Speaker 4: that time when it was I think our things. No,
- 51:16Speaker 4: it might have been Christmas with my family and just
- 51:19Speaker 4: the cousins, because, like we, my wife's family has a
- 51:21Speaker 4: bunch of cousins and one of her sisters married a
- 51:24Speaker 4: guy who his I don't know. His grandfather went to
- 51:27Speaker 4: Clemson or something. So the family's big Clemson fans, and
- 51:30Speaker 4: so when Clemson and Ohio State were playing I'm like
- 51:33Speaker 4: six years ago, the cousins were like, let's go Ohio State,
- 51:37Speaker 4: Ohio State, and the whole family got so mad. They
- 51:40Speaker 4: did they did what you did. They locked themselves in their.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Room on purpose. Yes, you can't, you can't do that.
- 51:48Speaker 1: You can't do that. Kids, they're like six, seven, eight
- 51:51Speaker 1: years old. Yeah, yeah, they're idiot. But they did go
- 51:54Speaker 1: into their room and watch the game by themselves and
- 51:56Speaker 1: watch my games. Though I just sat and watched TikTok
- 51:58Speaker 1: for like eleven hours. I just knew that the best
- 52:02Speaker 1: place for me was around nobody. And now again I
- 52:04Speaker 1: wasn't even my own house. I went into a guest
- 52:06Speaker 1: room at another person's house and just regardless, I wrote
- 52:09Speaker 1: this tweet. This is right after the game. Hey Missoo,
- 52:14Speaker 1: you own us. We act like it's not a rivalry
- 52:18Speaker 1: because it's not. You whoop us right on schedule practically
- 52:20Speaker 1: every year. No rivalry there. Please keep trolling us every
- 52:24Speaker 1: year We'll get outraged, rinse and repeat signed entire state
- 52:27Speaker 1: of Arkansas because they're four and one against us. Drink
- 52:31Speaker 1: comes in, he trolls us every year, hilarious by the way,
- 52:34Speaker 1: and win and he wins. And a lot of people
- 52:37Speaker 1: can't believe you'd write that. Yeah, yeah, I wrote that.
- 52:40Speaker 4: It sucksom Yeah.
- 52:43Speaker 1: In the dark, Candle's lid so stupid. That was my thing.
- 52:48Speaker 1: It's a bad one.
- 52:50Speaker 4: It's tough.
- 52:51Speaker 1: It's tough. Hey about those jeffs Casey.
- 52:53Speaker 6: Oh yeah.
- 52:54Speaker 9: Actually I'm kind of happy though that they.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Lost lower draft pick, better draft pic now draft pick.
- 52:59Speaker 9: But Seattle really wanted to give that game to us.
- 53:01Speaker 9: They had like two muff punts, but leave it to
- 53:03Speaker 9: old Aaron Rodgers and throw a little pick six.
- 53:05Speaker 4: It was pretty good.
- 53:08Speaker 1: There was play, he was moving around.
- 53:10Speaker 9: It wasn't a complete pass because he threw it in
- 53:11Speaker 9: the dirt because he can't throw anymore, but you know,
- 53:13Speaker 9: it was still a valiant effort block was that?
- 53:16Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 53:17Speaker 4: Threw Yeah, yeah, that Kevin's forty one sounds great.
- 53:22Speaker 1: So, I if you're if I'm a Jets fan, I
- 53:25Speaker 1: like what happened. Yes, I always root for the team,
- 53:28Speaker 1: but I think like the like with Missouri, I was
- 53:31Speaker 1: rooting for us to be Missouri like, but then when
- 53:34Speaker 1: we lost, I'm like, you know what, maybe this will
- 53:36Speaker 1: affect some change.
- 53:37Speaker 5: Is something strange?
- 53:38Speaker 1: Right? Yeah? Barba Treno was like one of the head
- 53:41Speaker 1: candidates to be the Charlottete football coach off at the coordinator.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Where that suck. If you left Kevin, you had kind
- 53:46Speaker 1: of the best case scenarios. Yes, you bet played your
- 53:49Speaker 1: hearts out. Your quarterback looked great, awesome, and then Anthony
- 53:52Speaker 1: Richard was awesome too.
- 53:53Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's funny. My my brother and my dad
- 53:55Speaker 6: were texting the whole game, like, oh my god, why
- 53:57Speaker 6: aren't they doing this? Doing this? And in my head
- 53:59Speaker 6: I was like I was even responding, so I was like,
- 54:01Speaker 6: you guys understand, like this is good for us. Drake
- 54:03Speaker 6: May looked awesome, their offense looked great, defense look suspect
- 54:07Speaker 6: at some points, and then we lost the game. Like
- 54:09Speaker 6: when we two, I was like, please get it. Yeah,
- 54:12Speaker 6: it's great, which is so weird. It's taking me, I
- 54:15Speaker 6: don't know, ten eleven weeks to get here, but I
- 54:16Speaker 6: am in full next year rebuild, Like let's get that
- 54:20Speaker 6: draft pick.
- 54:20Speaker 1: You don't want Drake May to get hurt. You like
- 54:21Speaker 1: for him to still look great, which he has been
- 54:24Speaker 1: he's before the game. I'm not sure we ended up with.
- 54:26Speaker 1: He was more yards per carry than Michael Vick during
- 54:28Speaker 1: his best Yeah, like running ye crazy, congratulations on your loss,
- 54:32Speaker 1: thank you, congratulation, and lost, thank you?
- 54:34Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 54:35Speaker 1: How about the Cowboys. Yeah we won, I know again
- 54:39Speaker 1: great And Michael Parsons is like, we're making the playoffs.
- 54:43Speaker 4: Michasoft he's eating a chicken wing when he says that.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Let me ask you this question because I've never getting
- 54:49Speaker 1: me up on the Cowboys that he has a long
- 54:51Speaker 1: time ago. The Mangles lost again, so they're pretty much
- 54:54Speaker 1: out of it, so they may be a bit deflated.
- 54:56Speaker 1: I mean, if the Cowboys can can, if they can
- 55:00Speaker 1: beat the Bengals and they got the Panthers after that.
- 55:02Speaker 4: Let's have fun. Although the Panters, the Panthers don't look
- 55:05Speaker 4: bad like the Panthers.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Like almost want to touchdowns.
- 55:10Speaker 4: So that's a little to me.
- 55:11Speaker 1: That's scarier than the Bengals. Now coming on, I'm not scarier, No, yeah,
- 55:15Speaker 1: scar Joe Burrows are still scoring one hundred points. They
- 55:19Speaker 1: just can't stop anybody. How about your Cowboys win? What
- 55:23Speaker 1: if they win two?
- 55:24Speaker 4: More? Like, I don't know, dude, this is crazy, but
- 55:27Speaker 4: I am like Kevin, Like Kevin said, I'm having more
- 55:29Speaker 4: fun watching games like this where if we don't we're
- 55:32Speaker 4: not expected to make the playoffs, So I'm kind of
- 55:34Speaker 4: having fun with it, Like I can enjoy the game
- 55:37Speaker 4: they almost blew it at the end. Again, I'm like, hey,
- 55:39Speaker 4: they blow it. It's fine, a big deal. They're playing
- 55:41Speaker 4: Drew Locke in the New York Giants, but they want
- 55:44Speaker 4: it was cool.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I got to walk down and get something for lunch
- 55:47Speaker 1: from the grocery store downstairs? Did you not care what
- 55:51Speaker 1: I was talking about? I gave up like halfway through.
- 55:55Speaker 1: We're going, well, we're going to the play. I'm gonna
- 55:59Speaker 1: tell you why because you gave up weeks ago and
- 56:02Speaker 1: anything positive. So all I'm thinking is that therapy at
- 56:05Speaker 1: one point thirty, and I have to get an allergy
- 56:08Speaker 1: shot right before that, and I'm trying to figure out
- 56:10Speaker 1: if I can get to downstairs to get something to
- 56:13Speaker 1: eat real quick before I do that.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Let's wrap it up.
- 56:17Speaker 1: I mean, I have so much more talk about. I
- 56:18Speaker 1: pooped on the cushion at the house. Oh is that
- 56:21Speaker 1: that neuro virus? I just flipped the cushion over. You
- 56:24Speaker 1: didn't tell anyone. I did know. I just flipped the
- 56:25Speaker 1: cushion over. Oh my can run. You're gonna hit an.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Aisle da Well.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I couldn't find the dog cleaner. I was gonna blame
- 56:30Speaker 1: on the dog, so I just flipped the cushion over
- 56:32Speaker 1: because now I, well, what was that out of anger
- 56:35Speaker 1: as well? No, it wasn't flip the roost, and so
- 56:38Speaker 1: I flipped it. But then now I got to find
- 56:40Speaker 1: a way to blame an on the dog somehow. In
- 56:41Speaker 1: the next couple of weeks, I wrote that down. Okay, Mike,
- 56:46Speaker 1: do we need a break real quick? Yeah, it's do
- 56:48Speaker 1: it right break. Okay, that's gonna pretty much do it
- 56:57Speaker 1: here on the show. By the way, we can highlight
- 57:02Speaker 1: game of the week because we you know, we don't
- 57:03Speaker 1: spend the stop talking about games, but highlight game of
- 57:05Speaker 1: the week for you, Kevin, Like, what was the craziest game?
- 57:09Speaker 6: I want to see the eight overtime, but I kind
- 57:11Speaker 6: of got over it a little bit, I guess, so
- 57:13Speaker 6: probably the Michigan Ohiose State, just because the upset was
- 57:16Speaker 6: so big.
- 57:16Speaker 1: It's so big in the fight, it's in the fight.
- 57:18Speaker 1: It's so big that even if Ohio State wins the
- 57:21Speaker 1: national championship, like that's still cool and all, but twenty
- 57:24Speaker 1: two percent of it doesn't matter as much anymore because
- 57:26Speaker 1: Michigan just beat them.
- 57:27Speaker 6: Yeah, like their season already feels like it's done.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Ryan Day one and four. Oh suck uh, Yeah, that's
- 57:35Speaker 1: a good one. Another thing, I was thinking about the flags,
- 57:37Speaker 1: because you know they're gonna say no more big flags.
- 57:39Speaker 1: You know what I would do? So when you do
- 57:41Speaker 1: one like they mo they put little sprinkled head flags,
- 57:44Speaker 1: the little one, what I would do is get a
- 57:45Speaker 1: bunch of little ones and then I would everybody start
- 57:47Speaker 1: playing little ones around the field all a sudden, got
- 57:49Speaker 1: a hundred yeah, when no one sees it, and then
- 57:50Speaker 1: all of a sudden they're like, why are there Michigan
- 57:53Speaker 1: little flags all over the irrigation flag. Yes, that's what
- 57:56Speaker 1: you do. No one even notices. So that would be
- 57:58Speaker 1: my next move.
- 57:59Speaker 5: There.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Pretty good Eddie game.
- 58:00Speaker 4: Oh I think it's Georgia Georgia Tech, just because at
- 58:03Speaker 4: the end I put ten dollars on Georgia Tech, and man,
- 58:06Speaker 4: I mean I just I just felt like it was
- 58:08Speaker 4: going to happen. And then every time like oh Georgia scores,
- 58:11Speaker 4: Oh Georgia score, Georgia Tech scores, and like nothing, nothing.
- 58:14Speaker 1: It was just awesome.
- 58:15Speaker 4: Following eight overtimes.
- 58:16Speaker 1: I loved it. I wish you would have texted as
- 58:19Speaker 1: that winning bed I didn't win it exactly.
- 58:22Speaker 4: If I would have won it any point, did you now?
- 58:25Speaker 4: I had Georgia Tech just to just money line, got it,
- 58:28Speaker 4: gotta get Yeah, I would have texted you guys though.
- 58:32Speaker 9: How about the Bears butchering that last game decision against
- 58:37Speaker 9: the Lions.
- 58:37Speaker 1: And then ibra Flus goes in the post game, Oh yeah,
- 58:40Speaker 1: stand by it. I think we did the right thing.
- 58:42Speaker 1: And then he has a press conference the next morning
- 58:44Speaker 1: and they fire him right after the press office. I
- 58:46Speaker 1: can't believe they let him have astof first time.
- 58:48Speaker 4: In franchise history or something like one hundred years.
- 58:51Speaker 1: They did it once before, like one hundred years ago,
- 58:54Speaker 1: because like they're coach a coach like five games. But
- 58:57Speaker 1: he wanted to like do something. It was some weird
- 58:59Speaker 1: like one hundred years go rule. It was like I
- 59:00Speaker 1: wanted to turn butter so he stop. Yeah, something like that. Yeah,
- 59:06Speaker 1: that was a crazy one. There were so I'll say this,
- 59:10Speaker 1: the Bills are really good. Yeah. If you have Josh
- 59:13Speaker 1: Allen your fantasy team, congratulations, he got two touchdowns at once.
- 59:15Speaker 1: I've never seen that happen before. Dude, I've never said this,
- 59:17Speaker 1: but I felt bad for the forty nine ers. They
- 59:19Speaker 1: looked so bad. Well, Christian McCaffrey like slides by the way,
- 59:23Speaker 1: if you haven't injured anything and you're playing snow and ice,
- 59:26Speaker 1: I'm just going back right hindsight twenty twenty because he
- 59:30Speaker 1: takes off around the right side, he goes nope and
- 59:32Speaker 1: just slides down. It's like, I'm done. Yep, he's been
- 59:34Speaker 1: done for the year. They said he's probably done for
- 59:36Speaker 1: the year.
- 59:36Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 59:37Speaker 6: I mean there's seasons over that way.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, So my game, oh man, I love Syracuse
- 59:43Speaker 1: beating Miami. That was awesome, such especially the coach at
- 59:45Speaker 1: the end going like Dabo, you're in, You're in. Yeah,
- 59:49Speaker 1: we'll get to play in the in the AC Championship game.
- 59:54Speaker 1: How about that Chiefs Raiders game too?
- 59:56Speaker 4: That and then ended up I know right, you.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Know, you know we can still make the College wall off? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: what game? Would it be cool?
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: South Carolina?
- 1:00:05Speaker 10: That was it?
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: That was it?
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: So because it has something to say about it, go
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: go game, Cocks, and I hope there are three lost
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: team that gets in and so they go and they
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: be clumbson it's awesome and whatever I've been and I
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: tweeted put South Carolina in with three losses just because
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: they've been as hot as anybody, and just be fun
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: because they're not Alabama, and although I route for Alabama,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: but I'd love it. And I've been texting with a
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: couple of coaches. Yeah, I've been talking with a Beamer.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Oh really, it's so funny, dude. They think I have
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: like a bunch of influence. I don't. And they're just
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: also fun. Like I know the offensive coordinator, uh, because
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: he used to be at Arkansas Dal Loggins. And then
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I went texta with a Beemer and I know I
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: know a couple people in the college Football Playoff Committee
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: and I don't know. I'm just like, yeah, let him know.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Let me see what's to get you guys in. But
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I like Beamer Sa Biemer a lot.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: He's awesome.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: He's awesome. That's it. We're done. I gotta get some lunch,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: more good allergy shots. I'm gonna go to therapy. Well,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I gotta work out.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: I still got to work out.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I got stuff that we didn't get to today that
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: it doesn't matter, we'll get to it next show. We
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: do have Joy Logano coming up. Yeah, the race car
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: driver later on this week, riverboat Ron. Oh, yes, next week,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I think unless we double up this week, I don't know.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Thank you guys.
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: And by the way, Reid, go ahead, Hey everybody, I
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: just want to say, right now, go and search Bobby
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: Bone Sports on YouTube. It's gonna have some very very
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: unique content on it. It's gonna have the best content
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: you've ever seen, actually all sports, all sports content.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Here's the problem we got into because we had the
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Boybones channel, but it was like Bobby cast stuff. It
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: was a bunch of con but that YouTube didn't know
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: who to like send it to. So they because it's
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: been so so long, like a music channel, so they
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: would send the sports stuff to the music people and
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: they were like, why we want to see this. So
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you got to kind of build and stay consistent, and
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: so reads like, I don't know, dude, we should probably
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: just do a different channel.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: It sucks, we're gonna have to rebuild it, but it's
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: gonna have all sports channel still exists though, yeah.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Yeah, by Bones channels there for Bobby Cast all that stuff,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: but this is gonna be unique to just sports. It's
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: gonna be high quality content. And if any video gets
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: up one hundred thousand views, I will show my penis.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: Oh that's the special content.
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: If you go subscribe, if you're a diehard.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: You don't let me finish to Eddie. Okay, all right, reads.
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: I was just gonna say, if you're a diehard sports
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: fan and you do go subscribe to it, go to
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: the welcome video and comment, and your boy is going
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: to be giving out some cash next.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Couple of weeks.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: How about that cash? Why are you giving out cash?
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I just want to see it grow.
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Is it my money? No, it's not, it's not. Why
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: would you give out I want? I want to I
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: want to do it. Yes, just take my money. No,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: I don't. What's your money? Give me the money because
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Rose you're gonna pay me more. Well that's true, but
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: still yeah, he's investing in himself. I like those I
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: had a ton of money. But I mean, you know,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: people to get to Venmo for a penny. Okay, thank you, guys,
