Day 143. Ezra 8-10
Cyrus, king of Persia, allows the exiles to return and rebuild the temple. The first group returns to Jerusalem and begins restoring worship. The altar is rebuilt, and sacrifices resume. The foundation of the temple is laid with both joy and mourning among the people.
