- 7:04Dan Schulz: Today's question is: The old Redmond Schoolhouse, built in 1922, today serves mainly as?
- 7:12Dan Schulz: And your choices are A, a private office complex, B, community center, C, a brewery, D, a bed and breakfast.
- 7:24Dan Schulz: And Jennifer, this is your chance to recover because Tuesday you're really, uh,
- 7:30Jennifer Davis: remember.
- 7:31Dan Schulz: not so good.
- 7:34Jennifer Davis: Oh, boy.
- 7:35Dan Schulz: now
- 7:36Jennifer Davis: Oh, let's see, an old schoolhouse from 1922.
- 7:41Jennifer Davis: Hmm, from all of these, I'm gonna go with C, brewery, because breweries have been buying old buildings and making them really cool.
- 7:52Jennifer Davis: and I like the poetic justice of an old schoolhouse turning into a brewery.
- 7:56Jennifer Davis: So I'm gonna pick C, final answer
- 8:02Dan Schulz: And the answer is, oh, Jennifer is wrong again.
- 8:05Dan Schulz: You can set your clock on how often she gets things wrong.
- 8:09Dan Schulz: The old Redmond Schoolhouse educated local students for 75 years before getting a second life as a community gathering place.
- 8:17Dan Schulz: It's one of the few historic places in town that's still serving the community every day instead of simply becoming a landmark.
- 8:24Dan Schulz: And yes, if you guessed brewery, you're definitely not the first person to wish that were true, Jennifer
- 8:39Jennifer Davis: here's one we've been hearing that has us curious.
- 8:42Jennifer Davis: Word is the mobile espresso cart that's been serving Marymoor Park events for the past couple of seasons may be getting a permanent home.
- 8:51Jennifer Davis: The rumor is they're in talks for a kiosk near the park entrance, serving coffee year-round with a focus on single origin pour overs.
- 9:00Jennifer Davis: We haven't been able to confirm any of this yet, so for now it's just neighborhood chatter.
- 9:05Jennifer Davis: The big question is, could Marymoor finally be getting a permanent coffee stop?
