- 0:00SPEAKER_00: The shorter the shorts, the bigger the insecurity.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: And I bet you've noticed it too.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Those girls at the gym with the micro shorts with everything showing.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: The girls going out at night wearing nothing but tiny little skirts and tops so small that they look like they forgot half their clothes.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: And they call it confidence.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: No honey.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Interesting take on it.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: I I think maybe if I'm thinking about this this quote from this this uh this woman that's talking about how girls wear these, maybe it is a way to grab attention, like, oh, I'm afraid I can't get it just you know by being me, so I'll show more of me.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Is that possibly what it means?
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Well, I can't I'm having a hard time with this though because my thought is well, you know, if I have an insecurity, I'm covering that.
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: I've been wearing baggy clothes.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: 1954 says, I think it is a mindset.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're feeling confident, but being insecure, you're trying to prove something to someone or attract attention because you're insecure.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: And you want someone to notice.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: Not sure if that makes sense, but I don't think it's it does to me.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: I because I was just trying to uh say exactly that.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: Uh they said I don't think of it this way either until hearing that clip you just shared.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: So maybe that's what it means.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: That's the only thing I could think is what it means, is that you're so insecure, you're like, please, please, please give me attention so I can maybe build myself up, but I don't even know if you're thinking about building yourself up at the time.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: I think it's the attention.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: I think attention sometimes equates to well, it uh you know what?
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: It doesn't get rid of the insecurity, it might muffle it for a very brief period of time.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: That's right, yes, because you're still gonna go home and have the insecurity.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: It might rear itself the next day.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: It's just like putting lipstick on.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: You know, you kind of like you're faking it because you Are you because I think you look uh so you wear a very bold red lipstick.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Lib stick.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Did you catch it?
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: A lipstick, yes.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Uh which is uh a big hunk of meat at Lib's restaurant, a lipstick.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Uh no, but uh don't you do it to accentuate and make things pop?
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: I don't see you with the in insecurity.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: No, it but it does give me confidence, and that's the difference.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: And that's where I think like maybe and hopefully, whenever you're wearing short shorts, that it will give you the confidence that you are lacking.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's where I'm gonna draw the line of the differences.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Putting lipstick on and getting confidence out of that, you're not showing me your ass crack, which is a little bit different.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: There are there are, you know, but that's her asset.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: Where like mine is my asset, I think literally that's yeah, where mine is my lips.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna accentuate that.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: I disagree with you.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: That's not their asset.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: I think their asset could be their person overall, but they but they think they think that by drawing attention to the parts that specifically I'll aim it at guys, that guys will notice immediately or pay attention to, and that's what it is.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Now I'm beginning to understand this more.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: I I really this is taking me a minute to wrap my mind around it.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Is uh now uh by them showing that you're canceling out as a guy, you're canceling out your personality and everything you are.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: You could have the boldest lipstick on, but let me tell you if you got the shortest shorts on, where do my eyes go first?
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: My booty.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Your booty.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh or your frontie, whatever the case may be.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: And at the gym, sometimes that thing creeps, you know what I'm saying?
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Um so I I think now I understand what she's saying.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: I wish she would have actually gotten deeper into that because Well, that's okay, because we did.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: We did, yes.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: And it took me a minute because we're we're we're struggling with why would you show it off?
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Why would you do it?
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Well, now I now I get it.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we're using something false sense.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: No, yeah, we're using something that is not your of course the best asset is who you are as a person.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: But you're using something, but how are how are you going to increase that?
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: You know, you're gonna find something, some way to increase that.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: I think it's the easy road.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: I think it's the easy road to get that attention.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: And and and trust me, let me tell you what not the easy road is Allie putting on makeup.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: Because if we started now, you'd be ready by 10.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: I guess I'll get started now.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: You're fine, you can just stay as you are.
