- 1:23Without any further ado, guys, let's kick this
- 1:25show off.
- 1:27Ladies and gentlemen, this is Inspirations For Your
- 1:29Life, and I want to say something very
- 1:32interesting that I think maybe a lot of
- 1:34you will find, let's say, in line, and
- 1:37that is when direction changes because truth gets
- 1:43revealed.
- 1:44And so this is series five, this is
- 1:45show 18, and this is episode number two.
- 1:49And once again, I want to say the
- 1:51words thank you, and I want to say
- 1:52the words welcome.
- 1:54Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:55So this episode of Inspirations For Your Life
- 1:57with myself, John C.
- 1:59Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 2:03podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student, passionate
- 2:06lifelong learner, and a published author.
- 2:09Very grateful for that, ladies and gentlemen.
- 2:11As I explore how direction changes when truth
- 2:14is revealed through awareness, listening, and higher guidance
- 2:18rather than a force or a constant action,
- 2:22this is a deep look at how human
- 2:25direction is not primarily shaped by effort, but
- 2:28by our awareness, our interpretation, and the ability,
- 2:33ladies and gentlemen, to recognize signals that were
- 2:35always present, but previously somehow they got ignored.
- 2:40Yes, I know.
- 2:42Most people, ladies and gentlemen, believe change happens
- 2:44when they try harder.
- 2:46They burn out when they do that too,
- 2:48by the way.
- 2:48In reality, change happens when you see differently.
- 2:52When perception shifts, behavior starts to flow, all
- 2:56right?
- 2:56When behavior shifts, identity begins to reorganize itself.
- 3:01And when identity reorganizes, well, direction becomes apparent
- 3:05and permanent rather than a temporary way of
- 3:09life.
- 3:10In this particular episode, I'm going to break
- 3:13down how awareness builds, how truth reveals itself,
- 3:16and how internal clarity begins to override external
- 3:20noise.
- 3:21The core structure, ladies and gentlemen, of real
- 3:23change, here it comes.
- 3:25Number one, guys, direction begins with listening.
- 3:31Awareness must come before reaction or a movement
- 3:35can settle in.
- 3:36I think that can startle some people, but
- 3:38don't let it startle you.
- 3:40Number two, guys, silence carries clarity.
- 3:43Truth often exists in the absence of noise
- 3:46rather than within it.
- 3:48Now, guidance is rarely loud, okay?
- 3:50Insight is subtle, requiring attention, not intensity.
- 3:54And ladies and gentlemen, number four, awareness requires
- 3:58a unique set of stillness.
- 4:03Motion without reflection reduces the understanding.
- 4:08I think if we could take a few
- 4:09moments every day to reflect and be grateful,
- 4:12our life can be a lot better.
- 4:14Number five, internal signals matter most.
- 4:18External inputs often distort perception.
- 4:21And I think that happens because a lot
- 4:25of people out there, you know, they want
- 4:27to be the loudest, but when you're the
- 4:28loudest, you're not really amplifying the truth, your
- 4:35core values.
- 4:37Number six, guys, truth interprets distraction.
- 4:40Clarity breaks cycles of confusion.
- 4:43So when we get clear, we get more
- 4:46unconfused.
- 4:48Number seven, guys, clarity appears in reflection.
- 4:54It appears in reflection.
- 4:57Insight forms when you pause long enough to
- 5:01observe.
- 5:03You just have to pause long.
- 5:05You don't have to pause forever, but you
- 5:07have to pause long enough so you can
- 5:09be able to appreciate and observe.
- 5:11And I think that's something that a lot
- 5:13of people today miss.
- 5:14They think that if they go quicker, that
- 5:17they're going to get the golden gem.
- 5:20But the truth of the matter is, if
- 5:22you go slower and you observe things around
- 5:27you, miracles start to take place.
- 5:33What they did there, but they never could
- 5:36rear their head because it never gave them
- 5:39a chance.
- 5:40It never gave them a chance.
- 5:41You never looked at the possibilities.
- 5:44You always looked at what couldn't be done.
- 5:48Number eight, guys, timing is everything.
- 5:54Understanding unfolds gradually, not instantly.
- 5:56And so if you think that you're just
- 5:58going to know something overnight, you're going to
- 6:00be very sadly disappointed.
- 6:04I think if we approach something, whether it's
- 6:07a subject, a concept, whatever it is, and
- 6:09we approach it with the idea that we
- 6:11can get better over time and that we
- 6:15don't need to learn everything overnight, I think
- 6:18it becomes not only more enjoyable, but I
- 6:21think it becomes easier.
- 6:24And also, the concepts tend to stick more
- 6:28because now it's not becoming a chore anymore.
- 6:32We're actually enjoying it.
- 6:34Number nine, guys, not all answers are immediate.
- 6:39I'm sorry, guys, they're not immediate.
- 6:42Patience is part of intelligence.
- 6:46Those that don't have patience will likely pay
- 6:50for it three, four, five, or 10 times
- 6:53back because they've made mistakes.
- 6:56And we always said pay nine, but basically,
- 6:58they've had to waste their resources.
- 7:01That could be money, people, things, etc.
- 7:03And so when we use our intelligence, we're
- 7:07able to move forward with purpose, with intentionalism.
- 7:14Number 10, guys, direction requires trust.
- 7:19Certainty is not required to move correctly.
- 7:22Resistance blocks insight.
- 7:25Resistance blocks insight.
- 7:26So ego and fear interfere with awareness.
- 7:32Our ego and our fear, what's our fear?
- 7:35Our fear is false, evidence appearing real.
- 7:38But too many people in our world think
- 7:41that if you get loud enough and you
- 7:47intimidate people, you can get power.
- 7:50You know, that might work for a little
- 7:51bit of time, but eventually, it's going to
- 7:53backfire in your face.
- 7:55Number 12, guys, listening changes outcomes.
- 7:58Did you know that?
- 7:59Yes.
- 8:01Attention determines what you notice and act upon.
- 8:08If I asked you a question right now
- 8:09and I said, what do you remember most
- 8:13about today?
- 8:17I can tell you what I remember most
- 8:19about today.
- 8:20Studying for finals right now.
- 8:21I've been doing a lot of studying.
- 8:23And also, I was working on a tech
- 8:27support issue that was taking me some time.
- 8:30And starting to understand the fact that a
- 8:35lot of these challenges that sometimes come to
- 8:38surface actually become a lot easier when we
- 8:42don't stress over them.
- 8:44When we know that we are just becoming
- 8:46aware of situations, things become easier.
- 8:51Number 13, guys, intuition strengthens decisions.
- 8:56Internal alignment improves judgment.
- 9:00Our internal alignment improves it, not the external,
- 9:03our internal.
- 9:03And I think when we can appreciate something
- 9:06internally, we can actually grow, all right?
- 9:12Not only can we learn, but we can
- 9:14grow.
- 9:16We can pass that knowledge on to other
- 9:17people.
- 9:18And then, ladies and gentlemen, we can learn
- 9:22from that so that we don't make that
- 9:24same mistake again.
- 9:27That's pretty good.
- 9:28And then, we could take all those ideas
- 9:30and we can incorporate them to a big
- 9:33microcosm.
- 9:35And suddenly, our world becomes so interconnected.
- 9:41Number 14, guys, patience.
- 9:46Yep.
- 9:47Patience reveals truth.
- 9:53Rushing compresses perception and hides the meaning.
- 9:57But I know a lot of people that
- 9:58want to rush.
- 10:00They want to get through everything, but they
- 10:03don't stop to look at the roses or
- 10:06smell them or even the beautiful animals or
- 10:10nature outside.
- 10:13They just don't take the time.
- 10:17Let me ask you a question.
- 10:19If you went outside today, did you pay
- 10:22attention to the weather?
- 10:24Did you pay attention to maybe the pavement
- 10:27you were walking on or the grass or
- 10:31even notice the scenery or even feel the
- 10:35wind at your backside or the warmth if
- 10:37it was warm outside?
- 10:40Did you?
- 10:41If it didn't, it's no crime.
- 10:43But if you did, tell me how that
- 10:47made you feel.
- 10:49Did that get you to connect?
- 10:50Did that get you to feel more grounded?
- 10:52Chances are, it probably did.
- 10:54And it took a piece out of your
- 10:56day, and it made it so enjoyable.
- 11:02A lot of people, they don't stop for
- 11:05that moment, not because they can't, but simply
- 11:09because they won't.
- 11:12They think that stopping for a moment is
- 11:14going to lose them productivity.
- 11:15But really, ladies and gentlemen, it's not going
- 11:17to lose productivity at all.
- 11:19It's actually just going to cause you to
- 11:21be more aware.
- 11:22And I think that's a big thing.
- 11:25A little warm tonight, guys.
- 11:28Yeah.
- 11:28But number 15, guidance challenges logic.
- 11:34Let me say that again.
- 11:36Guidance challenges logic.
- 11:40And so insight often appears outside of linear
- 11:45reasoning.
- 11:48Now, for somebody logical, they're like, that's preposterous.
- 11:52But it's exactly what happens in our world.
- 11:55We're looking at something linearly.
- 11:59We don't look at the outside.
- 12:02A better way to say that is, a
- 12:04lot of people look at the trees, the
- 12:07animals, the people in the forest, the lakes.
- 12:11But they don't look at the whole forest
- 12:13as a whole.
- 12:14And now everything just sort of fits in
- 12:16place.
- 12:17I'll give you another example.
- 12:19Maybe you're moving somewhere, home, condo, apartment, mansion,
- 12:25what have you.
- 12:26And when you first get there, there's no
- 12:28furniture.
- 12:30When your furniture gets, it's like, it changes
- 12:33the room.
- 12:34It changes the environment.
- 12:36It makes you like, you know, I belong
- 12:38here.
- 12:39Just by putting a few pieces of furniture,
- 12:41absolutely, guys.
- 12:42By putting a few pieces of furniture, they
- 12:45connect the environment to you.
- 12:50They signify relaxation.
- 12:52They signify an orchestration, an order.
- 12:59Number 16, guys, noise hides direction.
- 13:06I had a situation with this today, being
- 13:09an author now, new, and being a keynote
- 13:12speaker for a while and all this stuff.
- 13:13I had somebody online.
- 13:16I'm not going to mention the name because
- 13:17that's out of school.
- 13:18But the person online actually was attacking me.
- 13:24And so what happened, just to set the
- 13:28record clear on this, for any of you
- 13:29that might have saw the post, she was
- 13:32basically accusing me for not doing business with
- 13:38her.
- 13:39So I had told her from the get
- 13:41-go.
- 13:41I shared my book and all that.
- 13:42And then right away, she's trying to hit
- 13:44me with prices about what she charges.
- 13:46And I said, I'm not looking to hire
- 13:49anybody at the moment.
- 13:51Not looking to do that.
- 13:54She immediately fired off.
- 13:57Well, I obviously won't recommend anybody to you.
- 14:01And I obviously won't recommend anybody to read
- 14:03your book.
- 14:05And so I'm like, that's a little nasty.
- 14:09And then she comes with a little larger
- 14:11of a phrase to state things about me
- 14:15that are not true.
- 14:17I don't get upset.
- 14:19I don't get aggravated.
- 14:21I just block her.
- 14:23It's sad that people have to push buttons
- 14:27because they think that pushing buttons will threaten
- 14:30you to hiring them.
- 14:33That's the last thing I would ever do.
- 14:37And I think sometimes when people push these
- 14:40buttons and we have a reaction, it's the
- 14:46person.
- 14:47But you see, it's not the person we
- 14:49need to get mad at.
- 14:50It'd be ourself.
- 14:51We need to realize that the only reason
- 14:53that person has control over you or whoever
- 14:56is because you're associating with them.
- 15:00Soon as I said to myself, OK, this
- 15:01is how she feels, great.
- 15:02I'm just going to disassociate with it and
- 15:03bam, block the person and be done.
- 15:06I did that.
- 15:07And as soon as I did that, she
- 15:08came back and said, well, look at this
- 15:10such and such person.
- 15:11And he decided he was just going to
- 15:13block me.
- 15:14And I guess I didn't block her fast
- 15:15enough because she started posting it.
- 15:17So I blocked her on all my channels,
- 15:22reported her to Facebook and some other social
- 15:24media.
- 15:25I think it's sad when people use a
- 15:29manipulation or a scare tactic to try to
- 15:31get to spend money about a condition that's
- 15:35not true, like lying about who you are.
- 15:38So again, that's what I mean about noise
- 15:40hides the direction.
- 15:43The noise from her hid the true direction
- 15:46of where I'd go if I focused on
- 15:48that.
- 15:49But I knew I couldn't stay focused on
- 15:50that long.
- 15:51Constant input reduces clarity and focus.
- 15:55So if we get too much input, if
- 15:57we get too many people talking to us,
- 15:58what happens?
- 16:00What were we talking about?
- 16:02Who was I talking to?
- 16:03You can only talk to one person at
- 16:06a time.
- 16:07And that's important, guys.
- 16:08Number 17, stillness improves clarity.
- 16:14Reduced motion increases perception accuracy.
- 16:20Reduced motion increases perception accuracy.
- 16:24So that means that if we slow down
- 16:28and we become aware of things around us,
- 16:32you're going to hear me say it a
- 16:32lot, especially in my book, then we can
- 16:37have a different experience.
- 16:39You see, there's going to be people in
- 16:40our life that are going to try to,
- 16:42let's say, pull us down.
- 16:44Our job is not to get angry at
- 16:46them.
- 16:47Our job is to figure out who aligns
- 16:50with us in our life and keep them
- 16:52in our life.
- 16:53If they do and if they don't, then
- 16:55we just take them out of our life.
- 17:00It's not about being polite.
- 17:03It's about being with energy that's going to
- 17:06keep you going and not pulling you down.
- 17:08So somebody who does something like that and
- 17:11then saying they had 10,000 followers, which
- 17:13was really nonsense, that's a superficial person.
- 17:21And you guys have known me long enough
- 17:22that I'm not here to make names or
- 17:25anybody.
- 17:25And I don't call even that person names.
- 17:28That's not me.
- 17:28That's not my character.
- 17:30But there are going to be people out
- 17:32there that are going to be envious.
- 17:33They're going to be jealous of what I
- 17:34do.
- 17:34I get it, OK?
- 17:36So they can have their fun.
- 17:38They can have their party.
- 17:40And I'm just going to block from them.
- 17:42And if they say something that's wrong, I'm
- 17:43going to make a statement and say, hey,
- 17:45just want to let you guys know that
- 17:49I'm not being sexual.
- 17:51And that's all I want to say.
- 17:52I'm not going to get into any mudslinging
- 17:55because that's not who I am.
- 17:56But I do want to defend myself and
- 17:57say that this is not who I am.
- 17:59This is not what was said here is
- 18:01not true.
- 18:02Number 18, guys, realignment requires humility.
- 18:10Realignment requires humility.
- 18:15Correction begins when we decide to accept the
- 18:21misalignment.
- 18:27Realignment requires humility.
- 18:29And correction begins when we choose to accept
- 18:33the misalignment.
- 18:35A lot of people think that they're not
- 18:38misaligned, that they're perfect.
- 18:39None of us are perfect.
- 18:40But if you believe that, then you're never
- 18:43going to be able to grow.
- 18:44You're going to be able to change.
- 18:46Number 19, guys, awareness shifts behavior.
- 18:51What you notice determines how you act.
- 18:57And what you notice is directly correlated to
- 19:02the environment you're in, what you're hearing, what
- 19:04you're seeing, touching, tasting, smelling, and experiencing.
- 19:07That determines how you act.
- 19:11And so how you act will obviously come
- 19:17across to others.
- 19:18And we can't impact others directly or tell
- 19:21somebody to change something.
- 19:22When we act differently, they will act differently.
- 19:28When you show up for who you are,
- 19:29other people will respect you more.
- 19:33Number 20, guys, insight arrives unexpectedly.
- 19:38Clarity is not always predictable or scheduled, guys.
- 19:42But we have to be aware of these
- 19:45situations and this feedback, this input that we
- 19:50get when it arrives.
- 19:53It might not be when we expect it.
- 19:55It might not be when we want it.
- 19:57We need to pay attention to it.
- 19:59Number 21, guys, truth appears in patterns.
- 20:07Truth appears in patterns.
- 20:09So repetition reveals structure over time.
- 20:12When we repeat over time, we reveal the
- 20:15structure.
- 20:17Number 22, misalignment becomes obvious and imbalance is
- 20:21exposed through contrast.
- 20:24Number 23, correction improves the path.
- 20:32A correction, it could be a minor tweak.
- 20:37This adjustment creates forward movement.
- 20:42So correction improves the path.
- 20:44But the adjustment creates the forward movement that
- 20:46we need to keep going.
- 20:51Number 24, guys, understanding builds slowly.
- 20:56It's not going to come like a big
- 20:58tidal wave all at once.
- 21:01It comes in drips and drops, maybe even
- 21:03drips and drops.
- 21:05Understanding builds slowly.
- 21:07And clarity compounds through repeat observation.
- 21:13So the more that we observe, we start
- 21:16making a habit to observe, we'll start to
- 21:19become more aware of things around us.
- 21:23And by that awareness, we'll change how we
- 21:25act.
- 21:26We will change how we show up for
- 21:28ourself and for others.
- 21:30And I think that's probably one of the
- 21:31biggest things I want to say here tonight
- 21:33is that we're not here to influence others
- 21:36in the sense of making them do something.
- 21:37But when we show up differently, when we
- 21:39respond differently, other people will show up differently
- 21:42too.
- 21:42And they will respond to us differently as
- 21:44well.
- 21:45Number 25, awareness opens opportunity.
- 21:49New possibilities will appear through the perception.
- 21:52Now, if you're saying to me, John, I
- 21:53have not gotten any perceptions in the past,
- 21:55I'm going to tell you why you haven't
- 21:56gotten them.
- 21:56It's because you've been too much in this
- 21:59box.
- 21:59I have a little box I'm holding up
- 22:00here.
- 22:01You're too much staying in a box.
- 22:04You need to get out of the box.
- 22:06You need to realize that the way you're
- 22:09expecting something to be delivered to you may
- 22:11not come in this nice little neat package.
- 22:13It may not come on the day you
- 22:15want or the time you want or even
- 22:17the place you want, but we need to
- 22:21be open to it.
- 22:22That's important, guys.
- 22:24And that's the reason why a lot of
- 22:26people miss their miracle.
- 22:31They're waiting for something that's not going to
- 22:33show up.
- 22:34And they refuse to go anywhere else because
- 22:36they say that's where a miracle is going
- 22:37to happen.
- 22:39Number 26, guys, direction becomes clearer.
- 22:56So as we become more grounded, more in
- 22:59tune to the environment that we are in,
- 23:04our awareness goes up.
- 23:07And each time we do it more and
- 23:08more and more.
- 23:09I think that's a big thing for a
- 23:11lot of us to understand is that just
- 23:13taking the time to become aware of something
- 23:17can greatly change your life.
- 23:19Number 27, guys, listening changes the outcome.
- 23:23Did you know that?
- 23:24Listening will change the outcome.
- 23:27Now, you might think that listening is gonna
- 23:30be everything you want, but listening is kind
- 23:36of like the keys to the kingdom.
- 23:38When you listen and you understand without judgment,
- 23:44you have a different perspective, a different perception.
- 23:49Attention directly influences the results because when we
- 23:52pay attention to the way something really is,
- 23:55instead of what we want it to be,
- 23:58now we could show up in the way
- 23:59that we should be because the way we
- 24:01were showing up before might not be in
- 24:03alignment with what even the person is expecting.
- 24:09Number 28, guys, guidance shapes decisions.
- 24:13Insight informs the better choices.
- 24:17So our guidance shapes decisions and insight informs
- 24:20better choices, but we don't become sharp as
- 24:23a knife overnight.
- 24:28We need to be slowly grinded.
- 24:32I don't mean grind the way of we're
- 24:34down.
- 24:34I mean the sense that we need to
- 24:36slowly be exposed to our environment.
- 24:38The more than a knife is exposed to
- 24:41the sharpening block, the sharper it gets, but
- 24:44it doesn't happen over time.
- 24:46It doesn't happen in seconds.
- 24:47It takes a little time for the knife
- 24:49to get into that.
- 24:50You too need to develop not only where
- 24:55you're going, but also the energy that's gonna
- 24:58allow you to show up and show up
- 25:02in a way that'll be the greater good
- 25:05for you and for all mankind.
- 25:08Number 29, guys, trust improves clarity.
- 25:15Trust improves.
- 25:21People that don't wanna build trust are ambiguous,
- 25:28maybe not intentional, but when they have that
- 25:31ambiguity in them, how do we even start
- 25:38to put any kind of respect or any
- 25:43kind of, let's say, accountability on a person?
- 25:49Resistance, my friends, reduces understanding and flow.
- 25:56When we resist, things persist and we cannot
- 26:01flow.
- 26:02If you have a dam and you block
- 26:03the dam, the water does not go down
- 26:05the dam.
- 26:06Sorry, it doesn't.
- 26:08Number 30, guys, direction becomes destiny.
- 26:11Sustained awareness defines long-term outcome.
- 26:17You know, guys, what most people fail to
- 26:20realize is that direction is not something forced
- 26:23into existence.
- 26:24It is something revealed over time when internal
- 26:28noise decreases and external influence no longer dominates
- 26:32the perception.
- 26:32In other words, when you choose to disassociate
- 26:36with it.
- 26:37Once awareness reaches a certain point or level,
- 26:40clarity begins organizing itself naturally, and what once
- 26:44felt uncertain becomes obvious.
- 26:48See, the transition point is this.
- 26:50At the transition point, life stops being reactive
- 26:54and becoming observational or proactive.
- 27:00Instead of forcing outcomes, you begin recognizing patterns.
- 27:04Instead of chasing direction, you begin noticing an
- 27:07alignment.
- 27:08Instead of struggling with confusion, you begin seeing
- 27:11that there's a structure.
- 27:13See, this, ladies and gentlemen, is the moment
- 27:15where transformation stops being theoretical and becomes practical,
- 27:21the shift.
- 27:22When you finally listen clearly, what you need
- 27:25to do becomes obvious.
- 27:28Not because the world changed, but because you
- 27:32changed and how you interpret it.
- 27:34That shift is what unlocks direction.
- 27:38Ladies and gentlemen, I know a lot of
- 27:40this can be confusing, but this episode is
- 27:42about awareness becoming more structured, developing that structure,
- 27:48becoming your true identity, and identity becoming your
- 27:53long-term direction.
- 27:55Once truth is seen clearly, it cannot be
- 27:57unseen, and once it cannot be unseen, life
- 27:59can no longer remain accidental.
- 28:01It becomes intentional, aligned, and directed.
- 28:04This is the foundation of inspirations for your
- 28:07life.
- 28:08Not motivation-only hype, not the butt clarity
- 28:11that changes how you see everything and how
- 28:14everything responds back to you.
- 28:16That's the key.
- 28:18It's that subtle awareness.
