- 0:00Speaker 1: So coach daily, your take on the game of what
- 0:02Speaker 1: you saw out there and what you wanted to get
- 0:05Speaker 1: accomplished today.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well, obviously the first thing is we want to win,
- 0:09Speaker 2: but it was you know, we had a lot of
- 0:11Speaker 2: different lineups out there. We were down to you know,
- 0:14Speaker 2: nine players that we were going to play, so it
- 0:16Speaker 2: was interesting to see the different uh, the different lineup
- 0:22Speaker 2: lineup set I could be different lineups out there, and
- 0:26Speaker 2: just to really try to do a good job with
- 0:29Speaker 2: our pressure for turnovers, which we did in the first half,
- 0:32Speaker 2: and then offensively be able to run our stuff and
- 0:36Speaker 2: get good chops and.
- 0:37Speaker 1: That did seem to the case. Defensively, the traps amazing
- 0:41Speaker 1: again in whatever combination yet out there it seemed to
- 0:43Speaker 1: be whether it was over half court or right underneath
- 0:46Speaker 1: when they're taking the ball out of bounce.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah, we worked on it some yesterday, which sometimes is
- 0:50Speaker 2: the kiss of death, like you spent Like when we
- 0:52Speaker 2: don't spend any time on it, then it looks great.
- 0:55Speaker 2: And so sometimes when you spend time on something, it
- 0:57Speaker 2: goes the other direction. But we spend some time on it,
- 1:00Speaker 2: and I thought everybody had a better sense of how
- 1:03Speaker 2: we wanted to do than what we needed to do,
- 1:05Speaker 2: and I thought overall we did a good job with.
- 1:07Speaker 1: It and offensively as well. Yes, Sarah Williams getting the
- 1:11Speaker 1: ball down low, but not that it had to rely
- 1:14Speaker 1: on the three either. It seemed that that wasn't really
- 1:16Speaker 1: the case. They were denying it, and you had a
- 1:18Speaker 1: really good mid rage game that your guards were hitting
- 1:20Speaker 1: shots as well.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, they were trying to take away the three some,
- 1:24Speaker 2: but they were playing some deep coverage on the ball screen,
- 1:27Speaker 2: so we were able to get some pull ups. But
- 1:29Speaker 2: also I thought in the second half we did a
- 1:31Speaker 2: better job of putting the ball on the floor and
- 1:33Speaker 2: getting to the rim, which you know, we had opportunities
- 1:35Speaker 2: to do that in the first half and we missed them.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So I thought we had a pretty good balance between
- 1:41Speaker 2: all three levels.
- 1:43Speaker 1: And one thing about Butler, they did some really nice things.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You can tell it's organized and running that offense, and
- 1:49Speaker 1: yet people say, well, you beat them by thirty, But
- 1:51Speaker 1: there's something to be said that you make decent teams
- 1:54Speaker 1: not look so good at times.
- 1:56Speaker 2: You know, he does a really good job. They've run
- 1:58Speaker 2: a lot of they run things, a lot of stuff
- 2:01Speaker 2: similar to us, and they try to take have five
- 2:04Speaker 2: out and try to pull our big guy out, and
- 2:07Speaker 2: they got us on the back door a couple of times,
- 2:10Speaker 2: but fortunately that was when the game was no longer
- 2:13Speaker 2: in jeopardy, So you know, we have to learn from
- 2:15Speaker 2: it though and get better.
- 2:17Speaker 1: As far as Sarah sung Resting, any sign for Blanca,
- 2:20Speaker 1: how she's doing with her shoulders.
- 2:22Speaker 2: No, it's only been It'll be I think two weeks Monday.
- 2:28Speaker 2: So hopefully she's starting to do some different things, you know,
- 2:33Speaker 2: individual kind of stuff. So the more she can do,
- 2:35Speaker 2: the more she will do. And I'm hopeful. I just
- 2:39Speaker 2: don't know a date.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Right, Okay, how about the Pink Pink game for you?
- 2:43Speaker 1: As far as any family, friends, or just a message
- 2:46Speaker 1: that you have that hits close to home, well, you.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Know, it's hard to not think of someone that you know,
- 2:52Speaker 2: or a family or whatever that's been touched by cancer,
- 2:57Speaker 2: and certainly breast cancer. But it's always a great day
- 3:00Speaker 2: and honor Kyo as well, so it gives us an
- 3:05Speaker 2: opportunity to help raise awareness.
- 3:08Speaker 1: All right, And the snow, are you loving it? Or
- 3:10Speaker 1: enough's enough?
- 3:11Speaker 2: I've had enough. I actually drove in it. We had
- 3:14Speaker 2: walked through this morning at the hotel and on the
- 3:16Speaker 2: way in it really wasn't that bad. And then on
- 3:18Speaker 2: the way back to my house the whole highway was closed.
- 3:21Speaker 2: So it's I'm done.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Ready for substanject.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It makes you, know what, it makes you appreciate the
- 3:27Speaker 2: last ten or twelve years when we haven't had any snow,
- 3:30Speaker 2: because I think they said the last time we had
- 3:32Speaker 2: a storm like our big storm was twenty seventeen. The
- 3:34Speaker 2: last time we had this kind of cold was twenty fifteen.
- 3:37Speaker 2: So I'm done.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It's done, me too, with you, all right.
- 3:39Speaker 2: With the groundhog? There you go, help bad at all,
- 3:42Speaker 2: but all right, thanks coach, all right, thank you
