- 0:01Speaker 1: Good morning, family. Good morning. God bless you. Welcome back
- 0:04Speaker 1: to The Morning Devo. It's your bro, Sam Lopez, a.k.a.

- 0:15Speaker 1: highly suggest you go on and experience The Morning Devo. Weekdays, 5.30 a.m.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Eastern Standard Time. Amen. We're here to really put our
- 0:25Speaker 1: faith and focus and our purpose in the Lord Jesus
- 0:29Speaker 1: Christ and one morning at a time.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Amen.
- 0:33Speaker 1: We have God's word on it, right? We have prayer.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We have the gift of faith and we have growth.
- 0:40Speaker 1: According to the scriptures, we must grow. And because we
- 0:43Speaker 1: must grow, God gave us this scripture, Hebrews chapter five,
- 0:47Speaker 1: verses 13 and 14. I'm calling this one good from evil.
- 0:53Speaker 1: We learn how to distinguish good from evil when we're
- 0:58Speaker 1: maturing from in the faith, right? So let's pray. We
- 1:02Speaker 1: could share this out to as many people as possible.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Help me do that. Amen. If you're listening from the radio,
- 1:08Speaker 1: audio only is all good because maybe you're driving or
- 1:11Speaker 1: maybe you don't have time to watch a video. And
- 1:15Speaker 1: I understand that. So we get a lot of listeners
- 1:18Speaker 1: during the Morning Devo as well. And we get a
- 1:21Speaker 1: lot of viewers after the fact. So it's okay. If
- 1:24Speaker 1: you have any questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests, or anything
- 1:29Speaker 1: along those lines, don't ever hesitate to leave another live chat,
- 1:32Speaker 1: whether I'm live or not, I'll get back to you
- 1:35Speaker 1: as soon as I see it. Amen. So let's pray
- 1:38Speaker 1: and let's take time to experience today's morning Devo. Father,
- 1:42Speaker 1: I thank you for today, for right now, for this moment,
- 1:45Speaker 1: for the opportunity that you give me every morning, that
- 1:48Speaker 1: you give us every morning to experience your word, to
- 1:52Speaker 1: experience your glory, to experience your love, your grace, your mercy. Amen.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God, a hedge of protection in the
- 1:58Speaker 1: powerful name of the Mashiach Magid, the anointed one, Jesus
- 2:02Speaker 1: the Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach. I pray protection over myself physically, emotionally,
- 2:07Speaker 1: and spiritually, over my wife, over our children, over our family,
- 2:11Speaker 1: over our grandchildren, over our relationships, our finances, every single
- 2:15Speaker 1: thing that you have for us, Lord God. We pray
- 2:17Speaker 1: that you would guide, guard, and protect it as you
- 2:20Speaker 1: deliver this these things to us as we ourselves are delivered.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I pray that over every single person that's listening and
- 2:26Speaker 1: watching right now in the powerful name of Jesus. I pray,
- 2:29Speaker 1: Lord God, that you would guide, guard, and protect them
- 2:31Speaker 1: as well. Fill us with your spirit daily so we
- 2:33Speaker 1: could operate and function accordingly and that we can move
- 2:36Speaker 1: forward in victory knowing that you are in us and
- 2:39Speaker 1: working through us in a powerful way and in a
- 2:42Speaker 1: different way every single time because you are God who,
- 2:46Speaker 1: although your word never changes, But you are so creative
- 2:49Speaker 1: that you could do things with the word differently for
- 2:51Speaker 1: each and every individual person who responds and says yes
- 2:56Speaker 1: to you and your Holy Spirit. I pray this by faith,
- 2:59Speaker 1: knowing that you hear our prayers and you answer them
- 3:02Speaker 1: according to every single individual that's listening and watching right now.
- 3:05Speaker 1: In the powerful, matchless, highest name above every name, the
- 3:09Speaker 1: name of Jesus Christ, I pray this by faith. And
- 3:12Speaker 1: those who agree, we say amen. to the amen sister
- 3:15Speaker 1: joanne i see you good morning my sister god bless
- 3:18Speaker 1: you welcome back to the morning devo let's get into
- 3:21Speaker 1: the scripture we have hebrews chapter number five verses 13
- 3:26Speaker 1: and 14 god is so good at his word right
- 3:29Speaker 1: and he's faithful to his word so that's why we
- 3:31Speaker 1: get into it and we allow the word to get
- 3:34Speaker 1: into us because we have faith we have focus and
- 3:37Speaker 1: we have purpose and we're doing this one morning at a.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Time hebrews chapter 5 13 and 14 For everyone who
- 3:45Speaker 2: lives on milk is still an infant, inexperienced in the
- 3:50Speaker 2: message of righteousness.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And that's okay, because that's where we all started, right?
- 3:55Speaker 1: But solid food is for the mature, who by constant
- 4:00Speaker 1: use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil, right?
- 4:09Speaker 1: So everyone starts with milk, every single one of us.
- 4:13Speaker 1: your leader, your pastor, your bishop, your apostle, your prophet, evangelist,
- 4:19Speaker 1: the pastor, teacher, everyone started with milk. We were all
- 4:25Speaker 1: infants in the faith. Praise God, right? So don't let
- 4:29Speaker 1: anybody say, well, I was born into this and I
- 4:31Speaker 1: was already mature. Nonsense. It's anti-scriptural when people say that
- 4:36Speaker 1: they were born a believer, that they were born saved.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That's impossible nonsense. according to the scripture. Everyone who lives
- 4:45Speaker 1: on milk is still an infant though. Amen? So there
- 4:48Speaker 1: has to be a way that when we want to
- 4:52Speaker 1: grow and mature in the faith, we go for the
- 4:55Speaker 1: solid food of God. Amen? Who by constant use have
- 5:00Speaker 1: trained their senses to distinguish between good from evil. Constant
- 5:04Speaker 1: use of what? I believe it's constant use of the
- 5:07Speaker 1: word of God. I believe it's constant use of of
- 5:12Speaker 1: how Holy Spirit moves us in directions and in places
- 5:16Speaker 1: where He wants us to go. I think it's when
- 5:19Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit moves and guides and directs us in
- 5:22Speaker 1: the place where we want to go, we are consistent
- 5:25Speaker 1: with that. We constantly go where He wants us to go. Right?
- 5:30Speaker 1: So as followers of the Lord, what do we do?
- 5:34Speaker 1: We don't stay infants. We grow. Just like in our
- 5:37Speaker 1: physical form, we never stood infants. We grew. Yeah, we
- 5:42Speaker 1: were getting fed milk. Yeah, formula milk. However, we were raised,
- 5:47Speaker 1: we were growing physically. How much more should we be
- 5:52Speaker 1: growing spiritually? This is spiritual growth, right? This is something
- 5:57Speaker 1: that the Lord's Word inspires us to do, encourages us
- 6:02Speaker 1: to do. Not only stay in the infant stage of
- 6:05Speaker 1: our faith, but to move and grow and mature in
- 6:09Speaker 1: our faith. Amen? Amen. We get the real deal, and
- 6:13Speaker 1: the real Spirit of God is moving through us by
- 6:16Speaker 1: way of His Spirit, and we continue to move. Amen?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Continue to move. I'm just trying to get my notes here.
- 6:23Speaker 1: As followers of Christ, we're called, we're clean, and we're close.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I'm going to say that again. As followers of Christ,
- 6:31Speaker 1: we're called, we're clean, and we're close. Holy Spirit, really
- 6:35Speaker 1: reminds us of that every single day brother john i
- 6:38Speaker 1: see you good morning god bless you welcome back to
- 6:40Speaker 1: the morning diva my bro my friend we're called to
- 6:43Speaker 1: grow beyond right spiritual immaturity and become stronger and stronger
- 6:50Speaker 1: and grow in our faith our faith in christ he
- 6:54Speaker 1: gives us the gifts of faith so we could trust
- 6:57Speaker 1: him believe him follow him right We can do what
- 7:02Speaker 1: God calls us to do because we have faith and
- 7:04Speaker 1: we trust in him and his power and his authority
- 7:07Speaker 1: and his word. Amen. We have faith. We have trust.
- 7:10Speaker 1: We obey because we don't have to. We obey because
- 7:14Speaker 1: we are honored to. Amen. God's worthy of all the praise,
- 7:17Speaker 1: all the glory, all the honor. He gets it all. Amen.
- 7:22Speaker 1: And just checking my radio to make sure we're up
- 7:25Speaker 1: and running because sometimes we get some tech issues there,
- 7:27Speaker 1: some tech issues. But we're good. Glory to God. So
- 7:31Speaker 1: a baby needs milk, right? When we're born, we need milk.
- 7:34Speaker 1: We're babies to grow. New believers, listen closely, new believers
- 7:39Speaker 1: need spiritual milk. I needed spiritual milk when I was
- 7:44Speaker 1: a new believer. What about you? We need the basic
- 7:47Speaker 1: truths of God's word. I remember the first scripture the
- 7:52Speaker 1: Lord showed me and taught me and embedded in my
- 7:55Speaker 1: heart was I think 2 Corinthians 5, verse 17, that
- 7:56Speaker 1: I was a new person. I'm paraphrasing. The old man
- 8:02Speaker 1: is dead. Behold, I'm a new person in Christ. The
- 8:04Speaker 1: old is dead. Amen? He gave me that because the
- 8:08Speaker 1: enemy was already trying to convince me that there was
- 8:10Speaker 1: no change in my life. And the enemy was doing
- 8:13Speaker 1: a good work of convincing other people at that time
- 8:16Speaker 1: when I first got saved that this wasn't real. That
- 8:21Speaker 1: it wasn't going to be a real transformation. He was
- 8:24Speaker 1: telling people that I was telling that I changed, the
- 8:28Speaker 1: enemy would say, nah, that's not true. He's into some
- 8:31Speaker 1: kind of religion. He's just trying to do damage control
- 8:34Speaker 1: of all the damage he did in his life. It's
- 8:36Speaker 1: not true. And people will kind of bind into that
- 8:39Speaker 1: until they saw the transformative power of God's word in
- 8:43Speaker 1: a person who simply said yes to him and no
- 8:46Speaker 1: to everything else. So as babies need milk to grow,
- 8:51Speaker 1: new believers need the basic truths of God to grow
- 8:56Speaker 1: in their faith as well. But God wants us to mature.
- 9:01Speaker 1: God wants us to develop spiritual discernment and learn to recognize.
- 9:08Speaker 1: We have to learn to recognize the difference between what
- 9:12Speaker 1: is right and what is wrong. The difference to know
- 9:16Speaker 1: what is in darkness and what is in the light.
- 9:19Speaker 1: The difference to know what's truth and what are lies.
- 9:22Speaker 1: The difference to know between good and evil. We experience that.
- 9:27Speaker 1: We learn that. We have discernment on that, amen, as
- 9:31Speaker 1: we mature in our faith. That's why the Bible says
- 9:34Speaker 1: He doesn't want us to be wavering. You know, oh,
- 9:37Speaker 1: that sounds true. You go to that doctrine. Oh, that
- 9:40Speaker 1: sounds true. Then you go to that doctrine. You're like
- 9:42Speaker 1: a wave tossed to and fro, the Bible says. You
- 9:45Speaker 1: don't know what direction to go. Whatever sounds good, especially
- 9:49Speaker 1: now the danger of social media, Whatever sounds good, people
- 9:52Speaker 1: gravitate towards and it becomes a trend. And people gravitate
- 9:56Speaker 1: to the things that more people gravitate to. the things
- 10:00Speaker 1: that are more popular, even in this preaching world, even
- 10:03Speaker 1: in this teaching world, even in this space right here
- 10:06Speaker 1: of evangelism. Whoever is the most popular evangelist on social
- 10:10Speaker 1: media gets the more likes, gets the more clicks. People
- 10:13Speaker 1: tend to trend over there, to go over there and say, well,
- 10:17Speaker 1: that must be true. And the danger with that is
- 10:21Speaker 1: that they're not checking the Scriptures for themselves. So you
- 10:24Speaker 1: hear me all the time saying the same thing over
- 10:26Speaker 1: and over again because I'm not going to stop saying it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Get into the Word of God for yourself. Look at
- 10:32Speaker 1: the Scripture. Study the Scripture. Study the whole chapter. Even
- 10:36Speaker 1: though we extract a couple of verses from the book
- 10:40Speaker 1: of Hebrews, amen, I suggest you read the whole thing
- 10:44Speaker 1: so you can get the context right. The whole chapter
- 10:47Speaker 1: so you can get the context of what God is saying.
- 10:50Speaker 1: So the world system usually disguises evil and says it's good.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Especially in the month of October, Halloween. They disguise evil
- 11:04Speaker 1: and they call it good. Oh, this is just a
- 11:06Speaker 1: family friendly celebration. Halloween. Evil is time of the calendar month,
- 11:14Speaker 1: in my opinion. The world disguises evil as good and
- 11:19Speaker 1: makes sin look attractive every single day. And unfortunately, the
- 11:26Speaker 1: world system is getting better and better and better at
- 11:30Speaker 1: disguising evil and sin as something good and attractive. So
- 11:35Speaker 1: be careful. Use discernment. That's why if you're spiritually immature,
- 11:41Speaker 1: I highly suggest you don't go out there trying to
- 11:44Speaker 1: evangelize and go to parades and go to, you know,
- 11:48Speaker 1: witchcraft events thinking that, you know, you know it all
- 11:52Speaker 1: or you know enough. And especially don't go by yourself. Now,
- 11:55Speaker 1: if God calls you to do that, he's going to
- 11:57Speaker 1: create someone for you to go with you. He's going
- 12:01Speaker 1: to have somebody to go with you that's mature in
- 12:03Speaker 1: the faith. You could be a babe in Christ and evangelize. Absolutely.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I was, and I know everybody else, when we received
- 12:09Speaker 1: the truth, we were babes in Christ. We were still
- 12:11Speaker 1: going out there and telling people the truth for the
- 12:13Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ. And what he did in our lives. Amen.
- 12:17Speaker 1: But also, God will show us and give us the
- 12:20Speaker 1: sermon to go with someone more mature. So that way,
- 12:24Speaker 1: the maturer, right? Christ follower, child of God, will direct
- 12:29Speaker 1: us in a path that we should go and help us.
- 12:31Speaker 1: And then as we mature, amen, we start doing the
- 12:34Speaker 1: same for newbies as well. So it's an ever going thing. Evergreen, right?
- 12:40Speaker 1: That we keep on helping those who are first in
- 12:42Speaker 1: the faith. We come alongside of them, right? We don't
- 12:45Speaker 1: make fun of them. We don't mock them. We see
- 12:47Speaker 1: the zeal in them, amen? And we help grow that
- 12:52Speaker 1: faith that's in them, amen? That's why we're supposed to
- 12:55Speaker 1: surround ourselves with fellow believers, right? With a cloud of witnesses,
- 13:00Speaker 1: so that way we could grow in our faith and mature.
- 13:03Speaker 1: So without a strong foundation in Scripture, though, this is
- 13:06Speaker 1: not going to happen. If you don't have a foundation
- 13:09Speaker 1: in Scripture, you could be easily influenced by by the
- 13:12Speaker 1: opinions and the false teachings of people out there. How
- 13:18Speaker 1: about this? Temptations, right? And values around you can cause
- 13:24Speaker 1: you to turn a different direction, right? John Crosby said,
- 13:27Speaker 1: another pagan holiday designed to make money off the backs
- 13:31Speaker 1: of hardworking people don't be fooled. And I'm sure you're
- 13:35Speaker 1: talking about Halloween and the commercialized Christmas and the commercialized
- 13:39Speaker 1: holidays that we have on the calendar. Very right. These
- 13:42Speaker 1: are pagan holidays that society has used to make so
- 13:47Speaker 1: much money. I think Halloween is the second or it
- 13:52Speaker 1: might be. Check for yourself. I know it was getting
- 13:54Speaker 1: close to be the number one selling volume growth holiday
- 14:00Speaker 1: of the calendar year on top of Christmas. I don't
- 14:03Speaker 1: know if that's true now, but I know it was
- 14:05Speaker 1: getting close. That's what the enemy does. He imitates and
- 14:10Speaker 1: he grabs the the trends and all that stuff to
- 14:13Speaker 1: make his system grow. But his system is going to
- 14:17Speaker 1: fall very soon because the Lord is coming back to
- 14:20Speaker 1: crack open the sky. Thank you, Brother John, for your comment.
- 14:27Speaker 1: That's why we got to be consistent when we talk
- 14:31Speaker 1: about reading the Word of God. Just be consistent. And
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm no theologian by any stretch of the imagination, but
- 14:39Speaker 1: my consistency helps me to believe, to trust, to mature
- 14:44Speaker 1: and grow in my faith. We should be all in
- 14:47Speaker 1: the word of God daily. And I'm busy. Trust me. Amen.
- 14:51Speaker 1: My days are full. Glory to God. Amen. My days
- 14:54Speaker 1: are full. I'm about my father's business. I'm about creating
- 14:58Speaker 1: some kind of income here. I'm about doing what I
- 15:01Speaker 1: need to do to support this ministry, to support my
- 15:05Speaker 1: family any which way I can. Amen. I'm not a
- 15:08Speaker 1: rich man, but I'm rich in Christ and You might
- 15:11Speaker 1: not be rich in the world system according to the
- 15:14Speaker 1: standards of the world, but if you're a believer, you're
- 15:16Speaker 1: rich in the Lord Jesus Christ. We have everything we need, right?
- 15:20Speaker 1: So the world says, ah, just get everything you can,
- 15:25Speaker 1: can everything you get. Don't worry about it. Just do you.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But the word says we must be consistent. Study, show
- 15:34Speaker 1: yourself approved, meditate on his word day and night. Consistent
- 15:39Speaker 1: in God's word. Reading. praying, and put the teachings of
- 15:43Speaker 1: the Lord, right, into practice. Not only get head knowledge,
- 15:48Speaker 1: but get experience. Apply the word of God to your
- 15:53Speaker 1: life and in your life and through your life and
- 15:55Speaker 1: see what happens. All the results belong to the Lord.
- 15:59Speaker 1: All the outcomes belong to the Lord. Amen? As long
- 16:02Speaker 1: as we put in Him first. reading his word, applying
- 16:05Speaker 1: his word, and moving forward by faith, knowing that he's
- 16:09Speaker 1: victorious in every area of our lives. So it's called
- 16:13Speaker 1: spiritual maturity, ladies and gentlemen. Knowing the difference between good
- 16:17Speaker 1: from evil, right? Lies from the truth. That's spiritually mature.
- 16:25Speaker 1: We're maturing spiritually. So it's okay. Don't let this message
- 16:31Speaker 1: frustrate you if you're born again, just saved a week,
- 16:35Speaker 1: a day, a minute ago. Amen. You're going to get
- 16:38Speaker 1: spiritual milk. The basic truths of God's word. Go ahead
- 16:43Speaker 1: and get that. If I have my Bible, my first
- 16:47Speaker 1: Bible out, amen, I got to find it. You will
- 16:50Speaker 1: see it's all literally chewed up, ripped, tears on the pages,
- 16:55Speaker 1: highlights everywhere. Why? Because I was getting that spiritual milk.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I was a new believer. I was hungry. I'm still
- 17:01Speaker 1: hungry for God's word. But man, oh man, When I found, well,
- 17:05Speaker 1: when God showed me the truth and revealed himself, amen,
- 17:08Speaker 1: to my life, I was like, it was a found treasure.
- 17:12Speaker 1: God found me where I was. He found me in
- 17:14Speaker 1: the darkness, right? And he applied his spirit. His spirit
- 17:20Speaker 1: indwells in me and in you if you're born again.
- 17:23Speaker 1: So that first Bible, that thing is marked up, ripped up,
- 17:29Speaker 1: tears on the page. It's falling apart. Because I was
- 17:33Speaker 1: literally eating up that word. Because I knew that that
- 17:36Speaker 1: was true. I knew I could apply this. And I
- 17:39Speaker 1: knew I could move forward in victory in that word.
- 17:42Speaker 1: So spiritual maturity comes through the practice of reading the word.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Experiences and walking forward in victory. Walking forward by faith. Right?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Not just head knowledge. I know people with a lot
- 17:59Speaker 1: of head knowledge. but with no experience or very little experience.
- 18:04Speaker 1: So they know it up here and they said they're
- 18:06Speaker 1: waiting for it to come through their heart. It sounds noble,
- 18:11Speaker 1: but it's not true. Nowhere in scripture does it say
- 18:13Speaker 1: get it all here and eventually, you know, you'll get
- 18:17Speaker 1: it in your heart and then eventually, no. This is
- 18:20Speaker 1: not a progression of being saved. We're born again. Immediately,
- 18:26Speaker 1: Holy Spirit lives and dwells in us and we start
- 18:29Speaker 1: maturing and growing Or at least the Bible says we
- 18:32Speaker 1: must grow in our faith, right? We don't stay infants.
- 18:37Speaker 1: We don't say a prayer and then say, okay, that's done.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm saved now. Let me go back into the world
- 18:43Speaker 1: and do what I was doing anyway. That's not spiritual maturity.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I don't know what that is. I know it's a
- 18:50Speaker 1: popular way people live. I'm saved. And when I do
- 18:54Speaker 1: all these sinful things, I'll just ask for forgiveness and
- 18:58Speaker 1: keep it moving, right? Sister Miriam, God bless you. Good morning.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Blessings to you, my sister, my friends. Good to see
- 19:04Speaker 1: you in the morning, Devo. So the more we apply,
- 19:07Speaker 1: this is the application of God's word, right? The more
- 19:10Speaker 1: we apply God's truth to our everyday decisions, right? Every day,
- 19:15Speaker 1: we serve a God of yesterday, today, and forevermore. So
- 19:18Speaker 1: he's with us right now. So he's with us every
- 19:21Speaker 1: single moment of the day. So the more we apply
- 19:26Speaker 1: God's truth to our everyday decisions, the better equipped, right?
- 19:33Speaker 1: We become to recognize everything. We're going to recognize deception.
- 19:38Speaker 1: We're going to recognize darkness. We're going to recognize lies.
- 19:42Speaker 1: We're going to recognize everything. God will give us this discernment.
- 19:47Speaker 1: It's more powerful than despite sense. You know, I feel
- 19:51Speaker 1: a spidey tingling. The spidey sense is tingling. No, we
- 19:55Speaker 1: have Holy Spirit God living inside of us, giving us discernment,
- 20:00Speaker 1: eyes to see, ears to listen, and a mouth to speak.
- 20:04Speaker 1: So we become more receptive to God's spirit. We won't
- 20:11Speaker 1: be deceived as much or at any time, but the
- 20:15Speaker 1: elect can be deceived according to Scripture, but that's another discussion.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But when we have discernment and when we use discernment,
- 20:21Speaker 1: God will give you that knowing. You know, I drive
- 20:24Speaker 1: rideshare and sometimes when I'm at a stop, getting ready
- 20:28Speaker 1: to pick somebody up, I get this sense, Holy Spirit
- 20:32Speaker 1: is saying, don't do it. Drive off. Leave. This is
- 20:35Speaker 1: not going to be good. Cancel. And I leave all
- 20:40Speaker 1: the outcomes to the Lord. Amen. Why? I don't know.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I'm just listening to the Spirit of God saying, you're
- 20:47Speaker 1: in danger. Get out of there. You have that too
- 20:50Speaker 1: if you're born again. So don't feel guilty if you're
- 20:53Speaker 1: obligated to do something, right? Even at work, whatever, ministry,
- 20:58Speaker 1: and Holy Spirit says, nope, don't do it. Listen, take
- 21:02Speaker 1: it from me who experienced the opposite of that. Like
- 21:06Speaker 1: listening to the Holy Spirit and actually doing something anyway.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Almost caused me, my life got robbed years ago. I
- 21:14Speaker 1: think it was around COVID time. They tried to rob me.
- 21:17Speaker 1: They tried to hurt me. They tried to do damage
- 21:21Speaker 1: to my vehicle because in my mind, I was like, man,
- 21:25Speaker 1: this seems like danger over here. The Holy Spirit was saying,
- 21:28Speaker 1: just leave. Cancel and leave. And I just stood there.
- 21:31Speaker 1: So now I'm good. This is the last ride. Anyway,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I got to get more money. And almost caused me
- 21:36Speaker 1: my life. But thank you, Jesus. Amen. That he protected, guided,
- 21:40Speaker 1: and guarded me. Amen. During that time. It was rough.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And I knew I made a mistake. No, I confess that.
- 21:47Speaker 1: I knew I made a mistake. And I was like,
- 21:48Speaker 1: I was supposed to listen. And I was supposed to leave. Amen. So,
- 21:54Speaker 1: to be better equipped. Because we have Holy Spirit equipping
- 21:58Speaker 1: us for every day. This is not just like pie
- 22:01Speaker 1: in the sky ideas. Not just good wishful thinking. This
- 22:03Speaker 1: is Holy Spirit moving in our lives. Amen. Giving us,
- 22:08Speaker 1: when we're infants, the spiritual milk. But when we mature,
- 22:11Speaker 1: now we get the word and the meat of God.
- 22:13Speaker 1: And he's teaching us more and more every day. This
- 22:16Speaker 1: is not just one and done. This is a daily
- 22:19Speaker 1: experience and growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. What about this?
- 22:24Speaker 1: The better equipped we become, we can recognize and resist temptation.
- 22:31Speaker 1: We recognize we're being tempted. You can feel it when
- 22:34Speaker 1: you're being tempted. Now we have the ability and the
- 22:38Speaker 1: power to resist. As a matter of fact, there's a
- 22:40Speaker 1: way of escape and that's a wide open door to
- 22:43Speaker 1: escape any temptation. It could be food, sex, drugs, addictions, anything,
- 22:49Speaker 1: bad habits, cursing, getting surrounded by people who we know
- 22:55Speaker 1: we shouldn't be surrounded with. Those could be temptations, but
- 22:58Speaker 1: we could resist those temptations because we're growing in the spirit.
- 23:02Speaker 1: We're growing by faith. We're getting matured in the faith.
- 23:07Speaker 1: We're constantly being trained, right? So therefore, our senses can
- 23:13Speaker 1: distinguish better and better and better between good and evil.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Good from evil. We recognize it. And we don't have
- 23:22Speaker 1: to point fingers. That's evil. You're evil. We don't have
- 23:24Speaker 1: to point fingers. We have the knower in us. And
- 23:27Speaker 1: the knowing spirit in us, Holy Spirit God, will give
- 23:31Speaker 1: us discernment. That's what it's called. Spiritual maturity, spiritual discernment
- 23:36Speaker 1: sister mary said that's right to escape the door is
- 23:38Speaker 1: wide open it's wide open but listen our flesh is
- 23:42Speaker 1: like nah we want to stay right here the flesh
- 23:46Speaker 1: wants to stay in the temptation and god wants us
- 23:49Speaker 1: to resist the temptation and leave so we there's a
- 23:53Speaker 1: fight going on but as we mature and grow in
- 23:55Speaker 1: our faith and we get this solid food we mature
- 24:00Speaker 1: solid food mature so again If you're a newbie, if
- 24:03Speaker 1: you're a new believer, don't let this discourage you. Say, man,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I'm still on the milk. Praise God for the spiritual milk. Amen.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Everyone starts on this milk, right? You're an infant. It's okay.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I'm only 20-something years old in the faith. It's okay.
- 24:20Speaker 1: And it is what it is. I came to the
- 24:22Speaker 1: Lord late. Amen. Even though he was calling me since, right,
- 24:28Speaker 1: the day I could have believed in him. He was
- 24:31Speaker 1: calling me, calling me, calling me. And I was rejecting, resisting,
- 24:34Speaker 1: you know, getting into all kinds of issues and problems
- 24:37Speaker 1: in life. That was my decision. And that was my fault,
- 24:40Speaker 1: not the Lord's fault. And it was not the Lord's
- 24:42Speaker 1: decision for me to wait so long. But thank you, Lord,
- 24:45Speaker 1: for your grace and your mercy. It's never too late.
- 24:47Speaker 1: You could be 80 years old right now watching or
- 24:50Speaker 1: listening and God could change your life today. It's never
- 24:54Speaker 1: too late. You could be young. You could be old.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Everyone in between. It's never too late. Today, the Bible says,
- 25:00Speaker 1: Today is the day of salvation. Recognize deception, resist temptation,
- 25:08Speaker 1: and listen, choose what honors God. It's not that hard
- 25:13Speaker 1: after a while. I know we have a lot of
- 25:15Speaker 1: excuses sometimes, or I'm doing this because I'm hurt, or
- 25:19Speaker 1: this is a painful season I'm going through, so I'm
- 25:21Speaker 1: going to just go ahead and do this and that. No,
- 25:24Speaker 1: if it's not going to honor God, you'll know it's
- 25:27Speaker 1: not honoring God. You know, you don't wake up one
- 25:29Speaker 1: day and be like, I'm just going to reject everything
- 25:32Speaker 1: in the gospel. No, that you were led to that.
- 25:36Speaker 1: You were entertaining or I was entertaining ideas or thoughts
- 25:40Speaker 1: that were honoring God. So therefore, now I'm in a situation.
- 25:43Speaker 1: It can happen to any one of us. But when
- 25:46Speaker 1: you're an infant, you're getting the basic truths of God's word. Amen.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I try to stay in that basic truth mode on
- 25:52Speaker 1: these morning devos because I'm always thinking about the new believers.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm always thinking about the people who who are searching
- 25:58Speaker 1: for truth. I'm always thinking about my kids, amen, that
- 26:02Speaker 1: I could probably never have these conversations with during their life,
- 26:07Speaker 1: but they have these recordings, they have these podcasts, right?
- 26:10Speaker 1: They have this truth and it could be basic for them.
- 26:14Speaker 1: It could be, you know, in their infancy, it could
- 26:18Speaker 1: be the spiritual milk, but we all need the spiritual milk,
- 26:21Speaker 1: but we move forward. We grow from that spiritual milk
- 26:24Speaker 1: and we get the solid food of God. It's his design.
- 26:26Speaker 1: It's his idea. So we shouldn't be trying to restructure
- 26:30Speaker 1: God's order. We shouldn't be trying to restructure God's design. No,
- 26:35Speaker 1: let's go with the flow of what God is speaking
- 26:38Speaker 1: through his spirit and move in that way. So today, hoy,
- 26:43Speaker 1: right now, today, don't just hear the word, which is
- 26:48Speaker 1: beautiful to hear the word. That's how our faith increases.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Live it, right? Just don't talk about it. Be about it.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Just don't learn about it. Apply it. Let's move, man.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Ask God to sharpen your spiritual understanding today. Why? So
- 27:08Speaker 1: that your choices start reflecting his character and his truth daily.
- 27:14Speaker 1: And people are going to recognize that. They're going to
- 27:15Speaker 1: ask you, how? How are you? Aren't you just like me? Yes, absolutely.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Any man that I meet, I never speak to them
- 27:25Speaker 1: as if I know more. As a matter of fact,
- 27:27Speaker 1: the Bible says that they probably should be honored as
- 27:30Speaker 1: knowing more. Like we walk humbly, not proud and with
- 27:34Speaker 1: our chest down saying, I'm evangelist so-and-so, so you better
- 27:37Speaker 1: listen to what I'm saying. No, none of that. That's
- 27:40Speaker 1: not biblical. That's a bunch of pride and God resists
- 27:43Speaker 1: the proud. Nope. Stay humble. Amen. So when you meet someone,
- 27:48Speaker 1: speak to them. Don't speak at them. Don't speak over them.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Don't speak down to them. Speak to them and honor
- 27:54Speaker 1: them and respect them as the created image of the
- 27:57Speaker 1: Lord God Almighty. So ask yourself, am I asking or
- 28:01Speaker 1: making decisions based on God's word or the world's opinions? Right?
- 28:09Speaker 1: So before you make another important decision, consider whether it
- 28:14Speaker 1: aligns with Scripture. And the more you practice God's truth,
- 28:19Speaker 1: the stronger your spiritual discernment becomes. I hope you Get
- 28:23Speaker 1: something out of this. Hebrews chapter 5, verses 13 and 14.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I suggest you read the whole chapter for yourself. Amen.
- 28:30Speaker 1: So you can get the grasp of the context of
- 28:33Speaker 1: where this is coming from. But I'm out of time.
- 28:35Speaker 1: So listen, have a great day. Thank you so much
- 28:37Speaker 1: for hanging out with me. God bless you all. God
- 28:40Speaker 1: keep you all. And remember always that God is good. Peace.
