  SPEAKER_00: This is Brenda, and I wanted to start up a little channel called Brenda's Horror Movie Reviews.

  SPEAKER_00: We've just started the channel up, and they're just going to be five-minute reviews.

  SPEAKER_00: I just wanted to tell you a little about what the intent is.

  SPEAKER_00: And I have always loved horror movies ever since I was a child.

  SPEAKER_00: I know I had to sneak to watch them.

  SPEAKER_00: My parents didn't really condone what I was doing, but that's okay because the love has just continued to grow.

  SPEAKER_00: And as I've gotten older, I found that a lot of my friends don't appreciate my love of horror movies.

  SPEAKER_00: They don't want to watch them with me.

  SPEAKER_00: They think the world is bad enough.

  SPEAKER_00: You know, there's always an excuse, or they just literally get scared.

  SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to start this little channel so I could go ahead and talk to all of you about horror movies.

  SPEAKER_00: They're just going to be five-minute little reviews, just my takes on it.

  SPEAKER_00: And right now I kind of focus on five E's when I am rating a movie.

  SPEAKER_00: We are going to use a wine glass rating.

  SPEAKER_00: And the first one is eerie.

  SPEAKER_00: The movie has to be eerie to me.

  SPEAKER_00: It has to put that chill up my spine, wonder what's next, that strong foreboding feeling that something bad is going to happen.

  SPEAKER_00: I've always loved haunted house scenarios and demonic possession.

  SPEAKER_00: Those are the two things that I seem to gravitate towards.

  SPEAKER_00: Levitation has always scared me.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean it's very creepy for me to see little children climbing up the walls.

  SPEAKER_00: Also, I like it to be evil.

  SPEAKER_00: I like evil movies, I like evil forces, I like that fighting between good and evil, and also empathetic.

  SPEAKER_00: And I know there's a lot of people out there who have a heart for children and animals.

  SPEAKER_00: I don't like to see them being killed in movies.

  SPEAKER_00: But um, if it's a man who was a liar or a cheater, I say get him, he had it coming.

  SPEAKER_00: Also, um the environment is a big deal.

  SPEAKER_00: I like a dark atmosphere.

  SPEAKER_00: I even like that in my daily life.

  SPEAKER_00: Restaurants, my room, I keep it dark.

  SPEAKER_00: I like the 70s and 80s in those environments, and especially if a movie falls in the fall or during Halloween.

  SPEAKER_00: Um also entertaining, that's a big one.

  SPEAKER_00: I've sat through movies that have checked all my boxes, yet I find myself getting bored, and there are a few that I didn't finish.

  SPEAKER_00: If I get bored, I have to take a wine glass away.

  SPEAKER_00: That's all it is.

  SPEAKER_00: So it's just a little something that they're just my take, my opinion.

  SPEAKER_00: And the first movie that we are going to do is Evil Dead Rise, since I did get Stacy to watch that with me recently.

  SPEAKER_00: So that'll be the first one that we focus on, and I hope you'll give it a listen.
