Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning friends and enemies.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: Today's video is for the latter.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Just for the enemies out there.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: These are seven guys that I would gladly gladly tell my arch nemesis to draft in twenty twenty five fantasy football this year.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: I hope they draft them.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: I hope they target them.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: I hope their team is filled with everybody on this list.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Mike Duffer today's video.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: So we're talking our shirts in.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Before we get into the list, let's start with rule number one of fantasy football.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Don't draft injured players, okay?
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Injury optimism is the number one way that we can spot who the fish and our league are, okay?
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: If you are drafting a guy that's going into the year injured, the likelihood of that guy getting re-injured is very high.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: We cannot predict injuries.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who's gonna get hurt this year.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not gonna look at injuries of the past and predict that they're gonna happen again in the future.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: It can scare you.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: It can make you feel weird to draft guys that have burned you in the past from injuries.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what I'm talking about as it relates to this list in particular.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: There are guys that are gonna enter the year injured already.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like we know this already.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: These are the injury reports.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: They're not in training camp.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're not playing in preseason.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: They're questionable until week one and week two.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe missing those games.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: We already know a lot of the guys that are going to be injured.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: Don't find injuries in fantasy football because if you've played one single season of fantasy football, you will know that injuries are going to find you.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: So if you are a beginner, if you are an expert, if you are a mediocre player or fantasy football, the number one piece of draft advice I can give you is don't draft already injured players because if a player is less than one hundred percent health stepping on to the football field,
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: They are way more likely to get hurt.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying it is a guaranteed fact that they're gonna, but they're way more likely to get hurt than everybody else that is playing at full speed.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: So with that being said, let us jump into seven players that your idiot league mates should be drafting over you that I want my enemies to draft and many of them come in the form of already being injured.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: Number one is Brandon Ayuk coming back from the torn ACL.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know when this man's going to be back.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is very, very likely to start the year on the published, meaning he will miss at least the first four weeks of this season.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: I also think they got a nice little thing going on in San Francisco where I don't know that they force Brandon.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: I you back into this superstar level role.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: And that being said, like drafting guys freshly off of an ACL tear is without a doubt a losing formula for the most part.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: I will say, you know, like Stefan Diggs could fit into this list, but if you've heard anything out of patch report, like he is full go for training camp, zero limitations at every single practice in full capacity.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: Again, two different things.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can say, oh, Stefan Diggs also off the ACL there.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: Only one of these guys is missing all of practice.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: Only one of these guys is likely to be on the public.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's not digs.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: It is Brandon IU here.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: So when we think about the ACL tear, that happened midway through the season.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know when he's gonna be ready to go.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: He is not practicing yet.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to get into full conditioning.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: We saw him hold out last year.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: And he got off to an extremely slow start because he wasn't out there.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't in the right conditioning space.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: He was not getting those valuable reps with Brock Perti.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: And you know who is?
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: You got guys like Ricky Pierce all who's gonna pop this year.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: You got Joanne Jennings who was the leading target getter last year.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: You've got George Kittles base and apparently
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Christian McAfrey has not suffered any sort of setbacks going into twenty twenty five.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: So if he is healthy, you know, he takes at least five targets per game.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: So this passing offense will not run through Brandon and I you in twenty twenty five.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: So Brandon, I you guess at once he was in a lead player.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably still in a lead route runner, but those two do not always translate one to the other.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: So Brandon, I you could be the first player that I want to see on my idiot league mates.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: team going off of that same type of vibe Chris Godwin out in Tampa Bay like we remember what he did God rest those fantasy points in the beginning of last year was like the PPR wide receiver to in points per game before breaking his shit last year.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: And now the pictures of his ankle coming out
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: extremely swollen still.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: He is not at training camp.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: He is not practicing.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's just as good of a chance that he ends up on the public as there is him being ready for week one.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: And what makes matters worse is similar to Brandon and I, you can Sam Fran, there is so much talent in the passing regime going on over there in Tampa Bay.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: You got Mike Evans.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: You got Dale McMillan's cool, but a mechagbuka.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Seems like he's going to be the real deal Holyfield out there first round pick for the Tampa Bay Bucks this year.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Godwin, his Vegas projection is at seven hundred point five receiving yards right now.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're not projecting him to be a smash pick this year either.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: So Godwin missing all this time, you have a new offensive coordinator once again.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like he's not going to have a familiarity with the system.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure there's going to be a lot of the same stuff that they had with Liam Cohen and whatnot, but still it is another piece of this moving puzzle right now for Chris Godwin.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to be dropping down your report significantly.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, yeah, the second surgery that was not planned was not supposed to happen.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: which likely means there was some sort of complication in the recovery process.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Pushes the timeline back.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Just not great.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's on the older side of things.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: Everything in terms of Chris Godwin's reports have been bad vibes out there in Tampa Bay.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: So Godwin's another dude where like he has to drop so significantly down draft boards.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I hate like that.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's the one thing is where you draft injured players and you're like, but I got him out of value.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's like great value doesn't win anything.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like players who are on the field and scoring a lot of fantasy points is what wins you fantasy football matchup.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: So if you ever find yourself drafting an injury filled player a guy who's already hurt and yet you hear yourself say, Oh, but I'm getting him at good value.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: That should be a red flag.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: That should be a trigger to you.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Don't take that guy.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: So we've got, we've got Godwin.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: They're both fades for me in our draft guide, which is live right now.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: If you want basically the best of our content, all just mashed up into a beautiful, easily organized product for you, our draft guide is live right now.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: It went live August first.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's got all of our rankings and PPR, half PPR.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: You got super flex.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: You got Titan Premium, position.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: You've got, you know, the top two, fifty.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: We've even got some defense and kicker ranks for you in there, which I don't always do, but you know what, shout out to the kickers in, twenty, twenty, five.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: On top of that, we've got the must-raff list.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: We've got our paid list.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: We've got our round by round favorite targets.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: We've got our favorite sleepers passed around.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: Ten in-drafts.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: All that stuff is in our draft guide live right now on BDGE.co.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: BDGE.co.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: The very, very cheapest way for just ten bucks, which is extremely discounted relative to the full price right now.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Once you go on BDGE.co, there's a little menu item called Partner Offers in the top right, which you will see, and that will give you directions on how to get the draft guide for a really, really discounted price.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: So bdge.co, partner offers in the top right for a heavy discount for the bdge draft guide.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: And for those of you all that have the guide would love some feedback.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: I would love some some things you'd like to see added throughout the summer because that will be updated in real time.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's interactive.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: You could use it in the middle of your drafts to check off players and stuff like that.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: But I try to keep on top of all news, notes, and rankings.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Basically every day throughout the summer.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: So let me know what you'd like to see added to the draft guide as the summer progresses.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Wide receiver number three is Debo Samuel.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: I've talked to Adnozim about Debo and the next guy after him, but Debo, I just don't like the move to Washington man.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think it fits on paper with Cliff Kingsbury being like a screen type of guy.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think it is working in his favor that Terry McLean is holding out because we've seen guys who hold out kind of start.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: the year off a little bit slow.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: I just think Debo's kind of lost the juice man.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's lost the sauce.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a little bit thicker than he needs to be right now.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'll catch some screens.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: But at the end of the day, if you play in PPR leagues, which almost everybody does at this point, he doesn't really ever catch more than fifty five or sixty passes.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's had the one outlier year in twenty twenty one, of course.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then like you got to convince yourself that his rushing upside is going to be something huge here, but they already have Jaden Daniels and Brian Robinson on the goal line.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Jekoree, Krosky Merritt, nice little sleeper out there.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: So like
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: I just really don't see Debo being a massive factor as a wider receiver because he's not a set of real separator at the wider receiver position.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'll get a lot of screens early on in the year and the like force him the ball often, but I don't see that being something that plays itself out over the course of the entire year and I just don't see the rushing upside that other people do.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: So Debo being old like on this one year contract, I think Sam Fran, like, could not wait to get away from Debo and anytime a team is telling you that like this was our guy, but like, please, please take him.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Here, that's a red flag to me.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: So Debo, I'm completely off on the same exact case goes for Cooper Cup, moving from LA to Seattle.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they got rid of Cooper Cup like that.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the contract you got in Seattle's not really a big one.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams easily could have matched it if they wanted to and said they were placed in quickly with Devante Adams.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: And when you look at what Cooper Cup has become his reception perception chart like
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: third percentile success rate versus man in press last year was in a bismal year for Cooper Cup.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to be forced fed like he was still a good PPR play over the last couple of years in the games that he was healthy even though he's never healthy.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: But the problem is like so many of those were skimmed up motion touches get him in space because he's sprinting across line of scrimmage before the play starts get him the ball at the two yard line like
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Let it make things happen.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's just not going to be the case in Seattle.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: So he's not going to be force fed targets like he was used to seeing in L.A.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: And they made Puka that guy in L.A.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: over the second half of last year.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: And they clearly see that as his role going forward.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Cooper Cup now becomes a little bit redundant.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: J.S.N.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: is a much better slot receiver.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Just a much better receiver overall.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Got to have questions about Seattle's passing offense just to begin with, you know, it's samedarnal there.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: Probably going to be pressured a lot behind and not great offensive line and samedarnal kind of shrinks when that ends up being the case.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I have
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: I actually like Tony Horton out there, man, rookie making a lot of noise.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy to keep on your sleeper list, and he will be on the sleeper list in the draft guide as well.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: But Cooper Cup, I could not be more out on him.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: The next receiver, I haven't talked about him much.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just going to read off his draft profile in our draft guide, which is something that I wrote up for every fantasy relevant player in there.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I want to love Keon Coleman.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's got one of the funniest personalities in the NFL.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: unbelievably likable buffalo felt like the perfect landing spot early round two capitals like you're gonna be a difference maker in this offense you get attached to Josh Allen out the gate he just didn't really flash that he could be that guy as a rookie whatsoever like maybe he had one or two good games and like one or two good plays in those games where you're really reaching if you felt differently
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: One of the other concerns I have with him is he was used almost exclusively as a boundary receiver.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, was never put in motion, was never put in the slot.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they did not create any layout or easy targets for him.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: And his separation scores were brutal.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Again, referencing Matt Harmon's reception perception website, unbelievably good resource for you guys.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: His success rate versus man coverage right there with Cooper Cup in the third percentile versus press coverage, eighth percentile zone coverage, twenty-third percentile.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: The guy just could not separate, like yes, he makes cool plays down the field, like he's really athletic, and if you give him a jump all, like he's going to come down with some of them and make some awesome plays, but over the long run, that doesn't lead to consistent longevity and success here.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: And to make matters worse, in the Bills final six games, including at three playoff games, Coleman average, sixteen point two receiving yards per game.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like the rookies, we always talk about second half of the year, rookie explosions, Xavier Worthy and BTJ and all those guys, rookies tend to trend up over the second half of the rookie year.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: He became an absolute afterthought in this offense.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: And like I said, I think there's still plenty of raw talent here.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: But they need to find creative ways to really get him open.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: And his ability to win against like real cover corners is a concern.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they have the exact same OC.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: They got the exact same system.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: They got all the same things.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know why they would really like be in the mindset to change the creativity that they have with Keon Coleman.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: They also low key.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's not really being talked about much, but they brought a Josh Palmer on a three year, twenty nine million dollar deal, who's apparently quickly building rapport with Josh Allen.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think Josh Palmer like kind of profile similarly to Keon Coleman and Palmer's obviously not great doesn't have a ton of upside, but he's been like a really reliable target for Justin Herbert out there in LA and I could see him taking some of Keon Coleman's targets if they don't see Keon Coleman like progress relatively quickly.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I get it, listen, like Keon Coleman is not a guy that you got to pay an arm in a leg for like his current ADP is out, I think outside of the top
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: fifty wider severs, he's one fifteen overall, wider silver fifty one.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: The problem I have with him is look at some of the guys going like the the top fifty fifty five receivers as you're in fantasy are very strong.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of crazy.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, per ADP, Josh downs is wider silver forty eight.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Darnal Mooney is wider silver forty nine.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: A Mecca, Ibuka is wider silver fifty.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: Those are three guys going right above him.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: There's not a chance that if I'm on the clock, I am taking key on Coleman over any of these guys.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Keon out on Rashad Bateman, another one that I don't really think I need to tell you guys too much about, but he put up pretty similar numbers, like statistically, year over year over year, his involvement at least, like he's still averaging, you know, three point five catches per game, four targets per game.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: He just saw a nice touchdown spike come in, twenty, twenty, four coming off of Lamar Jackson's, you know, career best, forty one passing touchdown.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: So that trickled over into Mark Andrews, leading tight ends in touchdowns, Rashad Bateman had a big touchdown year.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, Bateman's touchdown numbers are gonna drop really, really severely.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like he'll probably be back down at like four or five.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Dave Flowers takes a spike up.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Derek Henry is the guy on the goal line.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: They also brought in the Andre Hopkins, which I think could be a dude that takes a decent amount of red zone targets.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's not gonna be in every down, snap player probably, but I think you draw up some contested catch targets for a guy like the Andre Hopkins.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: If you bring him in to be a possession receiver, so Bateman's touchdown numbers were fake.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: And another guy that again, I don't think people are really drafting much of, but the Marvin Mims love just needs to stop eventually.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good returner.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a real NFL receiver.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a real NFL receiver.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: And this is one that I can stand on and I watch his tape coming out Oklahoma.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: and hated it, hated it.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: Thought he couldn't run routes, thought he was fun and explosive, and we'll make plays down field.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a serious route, right, right, or though.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: And Sean Peyton has come to that realization, and literally only uses him on two types of plays that are screens behind the line of scrimmage, and seventy yard shots down field.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good there.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think when we look at Denver, Portland Sutton, Evan Ingraham, I would go as far as saying, I think Devon Valle and Pat Bryant are all going to out target Marvel Mims, actually throwing RJ Harvey, possibly even JK Dobbins there, probably Harvey.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: or then Dobbins, but if Marvin Mims at end up being the sixth most targeted player on this offense, I would be zero percent surprised.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, stop wasting a late-round pick on Marvin Mims because he made a couple splash plays at the end of last year.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm out on that.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: We just absolutely love to see any of those guys on my opponents roster.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know how I can make this video without saying, like, you show me Kyle Pitts in my league mates starting tight-end slot in twenty twenty five.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's just barbecue chicken.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: I am licking my lips.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I am tucking a napkin in the my shirt.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm eating with a plastic fork and a steak knife out here.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting all sorts of fucking savagery on that.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm I'm foaming out the mouth right now.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: Give me Kyle pits.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm one of my fucking idiot league mates as teams and it's it's Jehovah's Witness form baby.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: There you have it.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: Those are, I think, eight, maybe seven, maybe ten.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: I just fucking start you happening.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't end until I can't breathe anymore.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: But that is a list of players that I am telling all of my enemies this summer, right?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: Mason died.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: You run up to me on the streets and it's Kyle Piss Propaganda till his backwards.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hit the button that looks like this if you enjoy but most importantly if you want to support the brand you want to support yourself in your fantasy drafts go to bdge.co and cop the draft guide all right it went live August first it'll be updated throughout the entire summer and make sure for the heavily discounted price you check out our partner offers page on the website.
