- 0:0016 billion euros is amazon's 2027 Germany spend on data centers, satellites, and video. This is MAG 7 Daily, episode 28. After the Germany check, a US blacklist tied to google's ai secrets, Australia's plan to sue facebook, the case against reading that pledge as pure a capacity, then how google, amazon, and microsoft are trying to put agents into daily operations, and the dates. Bloomberg put amazon's Germany pledge at more than that euro figure,
- 0:29year, $17.9 billion dollars for next year.
- 0:33The company said the same plan covers AI infrastructure, a wider logistics footprint,
- 0:38and work with the European space industry on Amazon Leo.
- 0:42Amazon also committed to more sustainable infrastructure and to water stewardship across
- 0:46Germany.
- 0:47Since 2010, Amazon said it has invested over 100 billion euros in the country.
- 0:54Washington blacklisted a Chinese venture firm that former Microsoft AI scientist
- 0:58Liu Qi established. Bloomberg reported, over alleged ties to a start-up accused of stealing
- 1:04technology from Alphabet's Google. The information reported sanctions on five Chinese
- 1:09entities linked to Lin Wei Ding, a former Google software engineer sentenced to prison
- 1:14last month for stealing Google's AI trade secrets. One of them is the start-up Shanghai Zishuan
- 1:20technology, described as an AI company connected to Ding. The list also includes a Chinese venture
- 1:26capital firm tied to that case. Australia is preparing lawsuits against Facebook, TikTok,
- 1:32and other major platforms. Communications Minister Annika Wells told Bloomberg.
- 1:37The allegation is non-compliance with a nationwide social media ban for people under 16.
- 1:43The Barcelona Supercomputing Center's AI Factory Accelerator is now in full operation after a pilot,
- 1:50and Vidya's newsroom said. Startups in it get sovereign compute,
- 1:53Institute, technical support, and training, and many already sit in Nvidia's Inception program,
- 1:59with further program access starting today.
- 2:02What cuts against reading Amazon's Germany pledge as an AI data center build is a smaller
- 2:07line on the company's own page.
- 2:09Amazon itemized 4.8 billion euros to expand AWS Cloud and AI infrastructure in Germany.
- 2:16That is the figure that decides how much of the headline is Cloud and AI capacity.
- 2:2018,000 Cognizant Associates are the staff behind a new Gemini Frontier Capability Group
- 2:26that Cognizant and Google Cloud are standing up so Enterprise agents leave pilots and run in production.
- 2:33ROI and J reported that the group extends a Gemini practice Cognizant opened in April, 2026.
- 2:40More than 55,000 associates finished a build with Gemini Workshop,
- 2:44which Cognizant called the largest single Gemini Partner Workshop so far.
- 2:48Chief Executive Ravi Kumar S said that workshop put those associates on the platform, and that the new group is where the experience goes to work.
- 2:57Google Cloud Chief Executive Thomas Curian said joint customers need that kind of architectural partner if autonomous agents are going to spread through a company.
- 3:06The first jobs named are legacy modernization, developer experience, turning business processes into agents, and frontier cyber defense.
- 3:14Cognizant said the design is security first, built on the model context protocol and Google
- 3:20Cloud's model armor.
- 3:22Early name tools include a retail catalog support agent, a healthcare agent marketplace
- 3:28orchestrated by Neurosand, and multi-agent order to cash flows for manufacturing.
- 3:33In one retail software case, Cognizant said developer productivity rose 40%, time to market
- 3:40fell 30%, and costs fell 35%.
- 3:43Cognizant is deploying Gemini to 100,000 of its own associates this year, with a plan
- 3:49to reach 200,000.
- 3:51Amazon introduced Torch Neuron, an open-source toolkit that lets PyTorch jobs run on AWS
- 3:57Trainiam chips without a large rewrite.
- 4:00SiliconANGLE reported, a developer sets which chip the workload should use.
- 4:05The toolkit supports Trainiam 2 and Trainiam 3, for training and for inference.
- 4:09Trainium 3 has 8 computing cores, and each core has 4 modules aimed at different parts
- 4:15of the math.
- 4:16Model data sits in 154 gigabytes of memory on the chip.
- 4:21AWS packs the accelerators into servers that can hold up to 144 of them.
- 4:26Amazon said one of those systems can do up to 362 quadrillion calculations a second in
- 4:32the MX-FP8 format.
- 4:34Trainiam's own language, NKI, arrives as ready-made operators for mixture of experts designs,
- 4:41lower memory use and quantization. Torch Titan is supported, including a split that shares the
- 4:46model, the optimizer states, and the gradients across chips. Cartezia AI is already running inference
- 4:53on Trainiam with the toolkit. The Libre Institute for Brain Development is looking at it for medical
- 4:58work flows. Amazon said the open source drop is Tuesday, day one of a two-day
- 5:04pie-torch conference in San Jose. Microsoft's addition in this set is model
- 5:09names, not a new chip. Geeky Gadgets reported co-pilot added OpenAI's GPT 6.1
- 5:16and Anthropics Clawed Opus 5.5. Also today, Nvidia unveiled Nemotron Super VL, a
- 5:24120 billion parameter model, data economy reported.
- 5:28Some owners of the new Google Home Speaker are watching it pull down hundreds of gigabytes
- 5:32in the background, 9-5 Google reported.
- 5:36Google's legal chief, Kent Walker, told the Financial Times that AI prices are falling at
- 5:41an astonishing rate and opening room for European businesses.

- 6:02not a live keynote. The Hindu reported, after Greg Jaws we ax shared the notice.
- 6:07Mac rumors said the new Macs and iPad from that showcase could go on sale as soon as November 6th,
- 6:13and that pre-orders could open on October 28th if Apple repeats its recent home product pattern.
- 6:18Before we go, watch Tuesday's open-source drop of Torch Neuron at the Pai Torch Conference
- 6:24in San Jose.
