• 0:04
SPEAKER_02: I guess we need to play this.
• 0:11
  SPEAKER_02: Here we go.
• 0:12
SPEAKER_02: You know, it's almost as if we don't have any clue what we're doing.
• 0:18
SPEAKER_02: Because every week is a different kind of thing.
• 0:20
SPEAKER_03: Well, they just throw all these things at us and they just want to make sure we can figure them out.
• 0:25
  SPEAKER_01: Learning curve.
• 0:26
  SPEAKER_01: There you go.
• 0:27
  SPEAKER_01: Learning curve, yeah.
• 0:27
  SPEAKER_02: All right.
• 0:28
SPEAKER_02: Hey, it's the award-winning in-wheel time car talk show.
• 0:31
SPEAKER_02: Awards for ineptness is our key.
• 0:34
SPEAKER_02: Uh ahead, story of the week, recalls, guess the sold car price, and much, much more that you won't want to miss.
• 0:42
SPEAKER_02: Later, Jeff will have the crews in and events calendars, and I'll bring you the stories making automotive news headlines this week.
• 0:48
SPEAKER_02: Howdy, along with Mike out of this world, Mars, we always need more Jeff Zeken and the ones and zeros master engineer David Ainsley, who's monitoring this show like like bugs, bro.
• 1:01
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
• 1:01
  SPEAKER_02: Like a heart machine.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, something like that.
• 1:03
  SPEAKER_02: I'm Don Armstrong.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_02: Glad you could join us on this Saturday.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, I don't believe that I actually did I actually have a story of the week this week.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_04: No, no, I've got a five year old.
• 1:15
SPEAKER_02: I want to get to recalls because this is the one that really continues to bother me.
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_02: Ford.
• 1:22
  SPEAKER_01: Ford.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_02: Ford is recalling over 119,000 vehicles again.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_02: 2013 to 2019 Ford Focus, the escape from the Lincoln MKC, due to a fire risk from faulty engine block heaters that can crack, leak, coolant, and short circuit.
• 1:44
SPEAKER_02: Owners are advised not to plug in the heaters until repaired at a dealership.
• 1:49
SPEAKER_02: Affected vehicles, as I mentioned, the 13 to 18 focus, the 13 to 19 escape, the 15 to 16 Lincoln MKC.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_02: The block heater may crack and leak, causing a short circuit, smoking or fire when plugged in.
• 2:05
SPEAKER_02: Symptoms, coolant spots on the ground, loss of cabin heat, engine overheating or low-coolant warnings.
• 2:13
SPEAKER_02: Action, do not use the block heater.
• 2:16
SPEAKER_02: Well, the other sign is that the blaze, the action.
• 2:19
  SPEAKER_02: The blaze underneath.
• 2:20
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_02: Here in Texas, typically, we don't have too many engine block heaters.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_02: But if you live north of the Mason-Dixon line where it freezes much more than it does here, then people use engine block heaters to keep the motor warm.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_02: It's easier to start, easier to have heat when you get in the car, that sort of thing.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_02: Well, this one is poo-poo.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_02: Also, here's one that I'd know that you're rushing right now to your car dealership if you own a Land Rover.
• 2:51
SPEAKER_02: A Land Rover Land Rover Sport, as a matter of fact, for 2026, because it has on it the incorrect weight information on the label.
• 3:00
  SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_02: They shouldn't have been able to sell that vehicle.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_02: As a matter of fact, you know, they can't until they get it.
• 3:07
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 3:07
SPEAKER_02: So you put a sticker over the top of another sticker, and now you're or if the sticker's even there.
• 3:12
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 3:15
  SPEAKER_02: Well, there's that.
• 3:15
  unknown: Yeah.
• 3:16
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
• 3:17
  SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
• 3:17
  SPEAKER_03: Couldn't buy it.
• 3:18
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 3:18
SPEAKER_02: So there's only two this week, and I thought that both of them were kind of bizarro.
• 3:23
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 3:23
SPEAKER_02: Well, with the Ford, because I never use one.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_02: We never have a you know what we never did either.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_02: That that's a relatively new new thing, meaning probably the 60s when those things came about.
• 3:34
SPEAKER_02: Well, what you do, you take out the freeze plug, you put it in a freeze plug.
• 3:37
  unknown: Yeah.
• 3:39
  SPEAKER_03: I've replaced freeze plugs.
• 3:40
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's a total pain.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_03: Especially when they go out.
• 3:44
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_02: You know, it it's funny about engine block heaters, and that they have a plug and you plug it into the wall and it heats the block.
• 3:53
SPEAKER_02: You could get one here in Texas, I would imagine, if you bought a used car that had one installed from up north that wound up here.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_03: We talked about this last year.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_03: They have dipstick heaters, they have engine blankets that you cover your engine with and plug it into the wall side.
• 4:11
SPEAKER_03: How about pulling the garage?
• 4:12
  SPEAKER_03: How about doing that?
• 4:13
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that'd be so good.
• 4:14
SPEAKER_03: Well, I told you this morning, it was 70 degrees when I pulled out of the garage.
• 4:17
SPEAKER_03: And by the time I got down to the end of the block, the temperature was 54.
• 4:21
SPEAKER_03: My steering wheel, automatically heated steering wheel came on, and so did the seats.
• 4:24
SPEAKER_03: So it drops down below 55.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_03: That car is smart and says, Hey, I'll take care of you because it's a Buick.
• 4:33
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I got a story about that too.
• 4:36
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure that you do a made up one.
• 4:39
SPEAKER_02: Jeff had Jeff has uh lots of stories.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_02: That was a great story you told last night at the dinner table.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, the poor hospital patients.
• 4:46
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_02: Um, is that yeah, I don't guess you could say that on the air, could you?
• 4:51
  SPEAKER_03: No, I no, that wouldn't no.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_02: It's not uh appropriate to calls.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_02: You can whisper it, or just stay with the show and we'll it might leak out.
• 5:01
  SPEAKER_02: It might leak out.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_02: Like we do a lot of leaking.
• 5:05
  SPEAKER_02: We do.
• 5:06
SPEAKER_02: So we have the sold cars roundup.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_03: Right, you got it, Mike?
• 5:09
SPEAKER_02: I'm hoping that I'm hoping that uh George and Jeff, or those two at least, are with us.
• 5:14
SPEAKER_02: Speaking of which, happy birthday, George.
• 5:16
SPEAKER_02: George's birthday was last week.
• 5:17
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and uh jump jump George, we hope that you're feeling better.
• 5:20
  SPEAKER_02: Yep.
• 5:21
SPEAKER_02: Um he's having some health issues, and uh we uh think about him all the time.
• 5:27
  SPEAKER_02: Yep.
• 5:28
SPEAKER_02: Um I actually told Leslie, I said, I've got to go see George.
• 5:32
SPEAKER_02: You do, but I can't go up there unannounced.
• 5:34
SPEAKER_02: We should do a remote from his house.
• 5:36
  SPEAKER_02: Wouldn't that be cool?
• 5:38
SPEAKER_02: We can't get it right here.
• 5:39
SPEAKER_02: Well, I can't imagine going up there, but whatever.
• 5:42
SPEAKER_02: All right, so let's do the sold cars roundup, Mr.
• 5:45
  SPEAKER_02: Mars.
• 5:46
  SPEAKER_02: You ready?
• 5:47
  SPEAKER_02: Yes, sir.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_01: Okay, uh click a button.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_02: Our first up sold car roundup is going to be a 19 and 99 Chevrolet Suburban.
• 5:59
SPEAKER_02: I actually had one, it wasn't that colored, but I had one, and uh never really had any problems with it.
• 6:07
SPEAKER_02: It's based on, as you know, the suburban with the half-ton Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
• 6:13
SPEAKER_01: So um those those things ran forever.
• 6:16
  SPEAKER_01: They did.
• 6:17
SPEAKER_02: It had three rows of seats, but seats, but I will tell you that third row, it weighed about 7,000 pounds.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_02: And didn't you have to take that one out of that vehicle?
• 6:28
SPEAKER_02: It was one of those that you had to unclick from the back floor, and it was a total pain.
• 6:36
SPEAKER_02: You could you could fold it down, but but it didn't fold flat.
• 6:40
SPEAKER_02: No, it did not fold flat.
• 6:42
SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go nine grand.
• 6:44
  SPEAKER_02: Nine grand.
• 6:46
  SPEAKER_03: 1999.
• 6:47
SPEAKER_02: Do we have anybody on the line with us this morning?
• 6:49
SPEAKER_02: Or are they all out getting uh Jeff Eisman says 24?
• 6:52
  SPEAKER_02: Jeff says 24.
• 6:54
  SPEAKER_02: Guess what?
• 6:54
  SPEAKER_02: Jeff wins.
• 6:55
SPEAKER_02: Oh wow, because this one sold for$25,725.
• 7:01
  SPEAKER_02: Really?
• 7:01
SPEAKER_02: Uh with even that, and that's why I selected this for our card week, so to speak.
• 7:08
SPEAKER_02: All right, up next, I actually owned a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette that I bought, ordered from the factory.
• 7:17
SPEAKER_02: Now, this particular orange was on the sales brochure for 1977.
• 7:26
SPEAKER_02: Um I will tell you it had no horsepower.
• 7:30
  SPEAKER_02: None.
• 7:31
SPEAKER_02: Uh it did have a four-speed, post-ratio four-speed manual transmission in it.
• 7:36
SPEAKER_02: And uh, I love the car.
• 7:39
SPEAKER_02: And uh yours was white though, right?
• 7:41
SPEAKER_02: No, mine was navy blue, and then I went and spent a buttload of money on getting a custom paint job, and that was pretty much the end of the car because I couldn't drive it anymore.
• 7:51
SPEAKER_03: I thought you had a white one.
• 7:52
SPEAKER_01: I thought it was silver.
• 7:54
SPEAKER_02: No, never owned a silver or white Corvette.
• 7:57
  SPEAKER_02: No.
• 7:57
SPEAKER_02: It was navy blue originally.
• 7:59
SPEAKER_02: But anyway, so how much do you think a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette with no horsepower sold for on Henning's sold car weekly roundup?
• 8:09
  SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna say 19.
• 8:11
  SPEAKER_02: 19?
• 8:12
  SPEAKER_02: All right.
• 8:12
  SPEAKER_02: Does Mr.
• 8:13
  SPEAKER_02: Heitzman have a guess?
• 8:15
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, David said something.
• 8:18
  SPEAKER_01: Uh Heitzman said.
• 8:19
  SPEAKER_01: Heitzman said 31.
• 8:20
  SPEAKER_01: What did David say?
• 8:21
  SPEAKER_01: Ainsley says 25,000.
• 8:24
  SPEAKER_02: 25,000.
• 8:26
  SPEAKER_02: Well, no.
• 8:29
  SPEAKER_02: 11,000.
• 8:32
SPEAKER_03: Since we're doing this, you know.
• 8:33
SPEAKER_01: It's comparable to the horsepower it had.
• 8:36
  SPEAKER_03: Correct.
• 8:37
SPEAKER_03: Barrett Jackson's been on TV, on the History Channel and on FYI TV, and they're they're overpriced.
• 8:42
SPEAKER_03: They're paying a whole lot of over money on some of those cards.
• 8:45
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know.
• 8:45
  SPEAKER_03: We don't I don't do that.
• 8:47
SPEAKER_02: Um up next, item number three, would be one that, you know, I think that I would be interested in.
• 8:55
  SPEAKER_02: This happens to be a 1972 Chevrolet C10.
• 9:02
  SPEAKER_02: That's a pretty good looking car.
• 9:03
SPEAKER_02: Now, this is a resto mod.
• 9:05
  SPEAKER_01: 20s on it, maybe?
• 9:06
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 9:07
SPEAKER_01: That's a hot body style right now.
• 9:09
  SPEAKER_02: That's a square body.
• 9:10
SPEAKER_02: Single cab originally had a bench seat in it.
• 9:13
SPEAKER_02: I don't think you can get buckets back then.
• 9:15
  unknown: No.
• 9:16
  SPEAKER_02: 72 Chevy C10.
• 9:18
SPEAKER_02: This is uh, I'm gonna tell you right now, this is not your everyday beater that you would take to work back and forth to work.
• 9:27
SPEAKER_03: This would be something that you take on the hot rod tour attachment.
• 9:29
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna give you beater money, and it's gonna be 41.
• 9:31
  SPEAKER_03: 41.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_01: It looks like the suspension's been modified.
• 9:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, looks like it's setting low.
• 9:36
  SPEAKER_03: Custom paint.
• 9:37
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 9:37
SPEAKER_03: Anyone else want to uh Heisman says 26.
• 9:41
  SPEAKER_02: Heitzman says 26.
• 9:42
  SPEAKER_02: Did David say something?
• 9:43
SPEAKER_01: No, he had come back in.
• 9:45
SPEAKER_01: I think we're still in shock from the last one.
• 9:47
SPEAKER_02: He's trying to dry off from the shower he just got out at.
• 9:51
SPEAKER_02: This one sold for 36,750.
• 9:54
  SPEAKER_01: That's a lot of dough.
• 9:56
  SPEAKER_02: It's a lot of dough.
• 9:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Hainsley came in at 30,000.
• 9:59
SPEAKER_02: Well, he was the closest.
• 10:01
  unknown: Yeah.
• 10:02
SPEAKER_02: All right, so the next one up is a 1963 Volvo 1800S.
• 10:09
SPEAKER_03: They had one of these on at Ferret, and it I didn't see how it sold.
• 10:13
SPEAKER_02: So my fifth grade teacher named Greta Rogers.
• 10:18
SPEAKER_02: Greta Rogers, fifth grade, she had one of these, and all of us guys thought, oh, that's a cool car.
• 10:28
SPEAKER_02: And we knew nothing about Volvos, we didn't know where they were from or anything, but we just thought that the body style was really cool.
• 10:35
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 10:35
SPEAKER_02: Is it I is it what is it, a two-seater?
• 10:38
  SPEAKER_03: I think so.
• 10:39
  SPEAKER_02: I think it was a two-seater.
• 10:40
SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure, but didn't James Bond have one of those?
• 10:43
  SPEAKER_01: No, not a Volvo.
• 10:46
SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, an Aston Martin.
• 10:47
  SPEAKER_03: Aston Martin.
• 10:49
  SPEAKER_01: Volvo, Aston Martin.
• 10:51
  SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know.
• 10:52
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 10:52
SPEAKER_02: Maybe in your neck of the woods.
• 10:54
  SPEAKER_02: Probably over there, yeah.
• 10:55
SPEAKER_02: So what do you think that this thing sold for online?
• 10:58
SPEAKER_02: David says for it's pretty clean.
• 11:00
  SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go 18, 18, 19.
• 11:03
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 11:04
  SPEAKER_02: Maybe 20.
• 11:05
  SPEAKER_02: Anybody else?
• 11:06
  SPEAKER_01: Heisman says uh 14.
• 11:08
  SPEAKER_02: 14.
• 11:09
  SPEAKER_02: 26,250.
• 11:11
  SPEAKER_02: Oh.
• 11:12
SPEAKER_02: Because they did have a lot of those here in the United States.
• 11:16
SPEAKER_02: Of course, they were imported.
• 11:16
  SPEAKER_03: I'd ride it.
• 11:17
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, I would too.
• 11:19
  SPEAKER_02: Very cool car, 63 Volvo, 1800S 2600.
• 11:22
SPEAKER_01: Jeff would tub it out and put an LS in it.
• 11:24
SPEAKER_01: I was thinking the same thing.
• 11:26
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, just fast.
• 11:29
SPEAKER_02: All right, so next up, um, I had I kind of ran short of these, but this is a 1950 fine, fine year.
• 11:38
  SPEAKER_02: Ford F1.
• 11:41
  SPEAKER_02: Okay?
• 11:42
SPEAKER_02: This looks like it has been restored somewhat.
• 11:45
SPEAKER_02: Uh, I don't know as if they offered that color blue on a 50 Ford F1.
• 11:50
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
• 11:50
SPEAKER_02: But remember back in that day, they were used as trucks.
• 11:55
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 11:56
SPEAKER_02: So let's not forget that and keep that in mind.
• 11:58
  SPEAKER_02: Farms.
• 11:59
SPEAKER_02: I will tell you this.
• 12:01
SPEAKER_02: 1950 probably had a straight six in it.
• 12:05
  SPEAKER_02: Would be my guess.
• 12:07
  SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go uh 25.
• 12:09
  SPEAKER_03: 25.
• 12:10
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 12:11
  SPEAKER_02: Uh Mr.
• 12:12
SPEAKER_03: Heitzman, uh one of Jeff says 10.
• 12:14
  SPEAKER_02: 10.
• 12:17
  SPEAKER_02: All right.
• 12:18
  SPEAKER_02: Anybody else?
• 12:19
  SPEAKER_02: David?
• 12:22
  SPEAKER_01: David, yeah, David's uh David's years 18.
• 12:25
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 12:26
SPEAKER_02: Uh so the sold car price was$21,000, which to me is an awful lot.
• 12:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it looks pretty original though, the mirrors and the I guess.
• 12:36
SPEAKER_03: I mean, if you were did they have mirrors on the passenger side back then?
• 12:41
SPEAKER_02: You know, I think that those were either aftermarket or they were dealer installed because the mirrors back then were iffy at best.
• 12:49
SPEAKER_02: All right, so our final car of the morning is going to be a 2006.
• 12:57
  SPEAKER_02: This is a 20-year-old car, 2006 Subaru Impreza.
• 13:02
  SPEAKER_02: Wow.
• 13:03
SPEAKER_02: What do you think that a 2006 Subaru Impreza sold for?
• 13:08
SPEAKER_02: How much is a latte?
• 13:10
  SPEAKER_01: With a roof rack.
• 13:13
SPEAKER_01: Got a roof rack and got black wheels on it from a spray can, I'm sure.
• 13:20
  SPEAKER_02: I know.
• 13:20
SPEAKER_02: I've got a I got a major roof rack on the car I'm driving right now.
• 13:26
SPEAKER_02: It looks like it looks almost kind of like a wing, a great big, huge flatbed wing on the top of it.
• 13:32
SPEAKER_03: I thought it was you know like a part of a two-story house being pretty much.
• 13:35
SPEAKER_03: I'd say I'd say nine grand on this.
• 13:38
  SPEAKER_02: Nine grand.
• 13:39
  SPEAKER_02: anybody else?
• 13:41
SPEAKER_02: Oh sex Subaru in present.
• 13:44
SPEAKER_02: I had to put it in.
• 13:45
  SPEAKER_02: Jeff says 13.
• 13:46
  SPEAKER_02: 13.
• 13:47
SPEAKER_02: Well, Jeff is almost correct.
• 13:49
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, but it's not 13,000.
• 13:52
  SPEAKER_02: It's 1,300.
• 13:57
  SPEAKER_03: We're all driven.
• 14:01
  SPEAKER_03: I'd drive it.
• 14:03
  SPEAKER_03: That's front-wheel drive, isn't it?
• 14:05
SPEAKER_01: I think the the Subaros are all all-wheel drive, aren't they?
• 14:09
  SPEAKER_01: Even back then.
• 14:10
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
• 14:11
  SPEAKER_03: You know, you're right.
• 14:11
  SPEAKER_03: I didn't even think of that.
• 14:12
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 14:13
SPEAKER_03: So you gotta tub out all four.
• 14:15
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 14:18
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
• 14:19
  SPEAKER_01: Good stuff.
• 14:23

• 18:58
SPEAKER_01: You want to know when they're always good when they match.

SPEAKER_02: It would be a mismatch.
• 19:07
SPEAKER_02: So um we are going to be at just a moment.
• 19:14

  SPEAKER_01: Would she mind?
• 21:08
