Latest / Lisa & Russell / Lisa & Russell - Help! I've Fallen and Can't Get Back Up
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Lisa, always willing to try something new and yesterday was
- 0:06Speaker 1: no different. You had a crack at something for the
- 0:10Speaker 1: first time and had a go.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I went to my first Pilates class. I wanted to
- 0:16Speaker 2: do Pilates for a while because it looks like a nice.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Just couldn't build up the courage?
- 0:19Speaker 2: Looks like a nice lie down and a stretch. I
- 0:24Speaker 2: can hardly walk today. And at the end of the class,
- 0:29Speaker 2: I needed a moment. My legs were so jelly at
- 0:32Speaker 2: the end of 45 minutes of this nice lie down
- 0:36Speaker 2: and a stretch that I thought I was going to have.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I thought I need to take a moment before I
- 0:41Speaker 2: make my way to.
- 0:41Speaker 1: The car because I don't know.
- 0:43Speaker 2: If they're going to hold me up. Oh, my God.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And, of course, then getting into the car would have
- 0:49Speaker 1: been quite difficult.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I just felt it. And then by the time I
- 0:55Speaker 2: got home, I was like, hey, I thought, all right,
- 0:56Speaker 2: that's all right. I've recovered. But then this morning, I
- 1:00Speaker 2: stepped out the front door and there's just a small step.
- 1:05Speaker 2: One step beyond.
- 1:06Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it was, you know.
- 1:09Speaker 1: One small step. One for the madness fans.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. That's coming up. So, yes, it was
- 1:14Speaker 2: not easy, but I got through unscathed. My biggest fear
- 1:17Speaker 2: was falling off the machine. Didn't happen, although I did.
- 1:20Speaker 2: The instructor was lovely. She kept an eye on me.
- 1:23Speaker 2: She knew it was my very first class, and she
- 1:25Speaker 2: kept coming over and lifting up the hand bar at
- 1:27Speaker 2: the end for me to hang on to instead of
- 1:29Speaker 2: trying to balance, you know, get your balance on your
- 1:33Speaker 2: first day. So the thing is, though, of course, I'm
- 1:36Speaker 2: going to do two classes a week because– And Saturday,
- 1:41Speaker 2: when I do my second one, that's when it's going
- 1:43Speaker 2: to really hurt, isn't it? Yes. One was all well
- 1:46Speaker 2: and good.
- 1:46Speaker 1: But every time you do it, it will hurt a
- 1:49Speaker 1: little less. Did the older ladies keep an eye on you?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Or did they just glare across at you going, newbie?
- 1:57Speaker 2: What makes you think that it was older ladies? I
- 2:01Speaker 2: could have been there with a bunch of Lululemon hotties.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Were you? No, because I did sort of the older
- 2:10Speaker 2: lady time slot.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I rest my case.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Well, you know, I'm here now when most people are
- 2:18Speaker 2: doing their, you know, morning exercise.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I know. I notice you haven't been getting up to
- 2:23Speaker 1: go and make a coffee as often as you normally
- 2:26Speaker 1: do this morning.
- 2:27Speaker 2: No.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Where's Lisa? She's still just sitting there in the.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Studio in a chair.
- 2:31Speaker 1: One was enough.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I had a strong one.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Staring at the wall, saying, I can't move. So Pilates.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Help me.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Pilates. She's fallen and she can't get up. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So is this the new thing? Is golf still on
- 2:47Speaker 1: the roster though, isn't it?
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Absolutely. But yes, Pilates. Yes, I hope for the day
- 2:55Speaker 2: when it does feel like a lie down at a stretch.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Not too sure it will ever. Look at you go.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I think I've been led astray with that thought.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Golf, Pilates, what's next? Who knows? Anticipation.
