- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:05Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Bill Handle here on a Thursday morning. Some of the
- 0:10Speaker 2: stories we are looking at, Well, a World Cup starts
- 0:15Speaker 2: today in Mexico. Tomorrow is the US versus Paraguay at
- 0:18Speaker 2: Sofia Stadium.
- 0:20Speaker 3: And so five weeks.
- 0:22Speaker 2: That's a long time, and so we're going to see
- 0:25Speaker 2: five weeks of grief. And I'm going to talk about
- 0:29Speaker 2: the World Cup a little bit later on, but here
- 0:34Speaker 2: I want to talk about something we've been ignoring and
- 0:36Speaker 2: this critical stuff when it comes to the war in Iran,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and that's the country of Oman. Now why is Oman
- 0:45Speaker 2: so important? Well because if you look at the straight
- 0:47Speaker 2: look at a map of the Strait of Horror moves,
- 0:50Speaker 2: the northern section of the Strait is Iran, the southern
- 0:55Speaker 2: part of the Strait.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Is Oman, and all of ad.
- 1:00Speaker 2: But you know, people are looking at Oman and saying
- 1:03Speaker 2: this peaceful country that sort of mediated and stayed out
- 1:06Speaker 2: of everybody's ways.
- 1:08Speaker 3: There's an issue here.
- 1:09Speaker 2: President Trump casually threatened last month to bamb Ahman, which
- 1:13Speaker 2: has been a long time American ally and people.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Assumed you've been missed. He misspoken. I mean, come on,
- 1:19Speaker 3: he did not misspeak.
- 1:22Speaker 2: After the US Israeli war with Iran inflamed tensions across
- 1:26Speaker 2: the Middle East. As you would expect, Oman, the Sultanate
- 1:30Speaker 2: of Oman, found itself in the crosshairs of the Trump administration,
- 1:34Speaker 2: at odds with its Gulf neighbors, and it was perceived
- 1:39Speaker 2: as being too sympathetic to Iran. There is an omani
- 1:44Speaker 2: academic Abdullah Baboud said, sometimes standing in the middle is
- 1:49Speaker 2: not easy for Washington and particularly for this president. Either
- 1:54Speaker 2: you're with us or you're against us. There really is
- 1:58Speaker 2: no middle ground when it comes to the ministry. It's
- 2:01Speaker 2: real simple, join us or you become the enemy. Now,
- 2:06Speaker 2: for years, Oman has facilitated talks with the US and
- 2:09Speaker 2: Iran and maintains it's still playing its traditional role as
- 2:13Speaker 2: this neutral mediator and advocates advocating regional stability. Okay, here's
- 2:20Speaker 2: the problem, and this is where I put Oman in
- 2:23Speaker 2: a pretty difficult position. Is last month, Oman was discussing
- 2:29Speaker 2: partnering with Iran to charge fees for ships to pass
- 2:35Speaker 2: through this trait of hormones, basically a toll booth for
- 2:38Speaker 2: the ships to pass. There used to be an international waterway. Freedom.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Absolutely no tolls just sailed right through it, and Iran said, well,
- 2:47Speaker 2: we're going to start charging. Oman said we're going to
- 2:51Speaker 2: join you in charging. And that did it.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Man.
- 2:54Speaker 2: The president snapped on that one, and I think rightly so,
- 2:58Speaker 2: because for a neutral country that upheld the international right
- 3:02Speaker 2: of this right of way, this international waterway, that was
- 3:07Speaker 2: free from any interference from any country, all of a sudden, yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 2: we're gonna charge ships going through like the Panama Canal,
- 3:16Speaker 2: like the Siuez Canal, but the Suez Canal and the
- 3:20Speaker 2: Panama Canal go through countries, one being Panama, the other
- 3:25Speaker 2: one being Egypt.
- 3:26Speaker 3: For example.
- 3:28Speaker 2: And the President told that reporters in late May, Oman
- 3:31Speaker 2: will behave just like everybody else, or we're gonna have
- 3:34Speaker 2: to blow them up. I mean, that's of course Trump speak.
- 3:38Speaker 2: They understand that they'll be fine. I don't know what
- 3:41Speaker 2: that means. They'll be fine. But the point is is
- 3:46Speaker 2: that that shocked a bunch of people across the region. Now,
- 3:50Speaker 2: the response from that statement from Oman has been silence.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Why because Oman has a reputation for being aloof from
- 3:59Speaker 2: the rest of the region. It's really not part of
- 4:02Speaker 2: the region in the sense of alignment. Mark Siever is
- 4:07Speaker 2: a former US ambassador Oman said what they would say
- 4:09Speaker 2: to me as well, we are the Gulf's window on Iran,
- 4:13Speaker 2: and that's a function that needs to be respected. Well, again,
- 4:18Speaker 2: there is no neutrality in the world of this administration.
- 4:21Speaker 2: You're either with us or you're not. And this war
- 4:26Speaker 2: has created even more distance between Oman and its Arab
- 4:29Speaker 2: neighbors because they are firmly against Iran big time. Iran
- 4:35Speaker 2: is a danger to the entire region. When you talk
- 4:39Speaker 2: about Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, when you talk about
- 4:44Speaker 2: countries like Kuwait. Now there have been some with the
- 4:47Speaker 2: Abraham agre Kors that have recognized Israel first, starting with
- 4:51Speaker 2: Jordan and in Egypt, the rest of the Midi said no, no,
- 4:54Speaker 2: we're gonna we're not going to accept Israel as a country.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We're not going to recognize Israel. Why because of the
- 5:01Speaker 2: Palestine any issue. And now Iran is saying that it's
- 5:06Speaker 2: only going to come to the table if Israel stops
- 5:09Speaker 2: bombing Lebanon. And so the reality is, and I'm going
- 5:13Speaker 2: to give you an example, the reality is is that
- 5:17Speaker 2: a lot of these states not only are allied with
- 5:20Speaker 2: the United States, Saudi Arabia, but you know they've been
- 5:23Speaker 2: buying goods from Israel for years and years. Well wait
- 5:27Speaker 2: a minute, they can't the losses, they can't. Let me
- 5:29Speaker 2: tell you what they do. And I have a friend
- 5:31Speaker 2: of mine who flew for the idea of Israel Defense Forces,
- 5:34Speaker 2: and he flew F sixteens, and he said that Israel
- 5:38Speaker 2: had created a new system of long range tanks for
- 5:43Speaker 2: the F sixteen, which United States has not. So parts
- 5:49Speaker 2: for the F sixteen and upgrades come from the United States,
- 5:53Speaker 2: but they didn't create It was Israel that created this
- 5:56Speaker 2: special tank for additional gas. So how does Saudi Arabia
- 6:02Speaker 2: get hold of it? Well, what Israel does is use
- 6:05Speaker 2: Cyprus as a mediation point. So all of the parts
- 6:11Speaker 2: that went into Saudi Arabia for the F sixteen were
- 6:14Speaker 2: on the boxes, were labeled product of Cyprus, and everybody knew.
- 6:20Speaker 2: It was a dirty little secret that everybody knew. I
- 6:24Speaker 2: want to continue on with the topic of Oman. And
- 6:27Speaker 2: we're not hearing much about Oman while the festivities are
- 6:32Speaker 2: going on between the United States, Iran and Israel, and
- 6:36Speaker 2: that you would think it doesn't make any sense. Why
- 6:39Speaker 2: because Oman is on the other side of the Strait
- 6:43Speaker 2: of Hormuz. That is, you've got Iran in the north,
- 6:49Speaker 2: Ohman in the south, and Oman Heretofore, if you notice,
- 6:54Speaker 2: as the other Gulf countries were getting pummeled by Iranian
- 6:58Speaker 2: missiles and drones, Oman wasn't. Oman is fine as far
- 7:04Speaker 2: as getting hit by Iran. And as I said earlier,
- 7:10Speaker 2: Iran and the other Gulf states are really enemies, you know.
- 7:14Speaker 2: For example, Saudi Arabia is much more frightened of Iran
- 7:17Speaker 2: than it ever would be of Israel. Ever, because Israel
- 7:21Speaker 2: and Saudi Arabia actually do business together. Because if their
- 7:25Speaker 2: theocracy in Iran, if they took their religious and that's
- 7:29Speaker 2: what they do, they want to create their form of
- 7:32Speaker 2: religion all over the Mid East. The first thing they're
- 7:34Speaker 2: going to do when they go to Saudi Arabia's hang
- 7:36Speaker 2: the royal family and they know it. So there's some
- 7:41Speaker 2: real issues going on. It's a lot more complicated than
- 7:44Speaker 2: just the Middle East loves Palestinian and they sort of
- 7:48Speaker 2: hate and love the US.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Some have military basis, some don't.
- 7:52Speaker 2: But what happened with Oman, which is known as a mediator,
- 7:58Speaker 2: which is known as a neutral country, and as I
- 8:01Speaker 2: said earlier, there's no this thing as in neutrality with
- 8:03Speaker 2: this administration, either you are with us or you are
- 8:07Speaker 2: the enemy. And what really got the President very angry,
- 8:12Speaker 2: really pissed off, and he's right on this is Oman
- 8:16Speaker 2: joined Iran in saying we are going to start charging
- 8:21Speaker 2: with the Iran tolls fees for ships to pass through
- 8:26Speaker 2: the Strait of Hormuz. Previously it was a worldwide international
- 8:33Speaker 2: waterway that was free of any control by any country.
- 8:39Speaker 2: So even to the point where when the new leader,
- 8:44Speaker 2: the son of the head Honcho, the Imperial Wizard, the
- 8:48Speaker 2: Grand Puba of Iran, when that one was killed in
- 8:52Speaker 2: the new Grand Puba, his son came into power. Do
- 8:55Speaker 2: you know Iran that Oman actually sent a letter of
- 8:58Speaker 2: congratulations to the assistant Pouba, who now is the big Poohba.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I think that's what they call them, don't they. I
- 9:08Speaker 2: think it's Imperial Wizard. I don't know this. You know
- 9:12Speaker 2: that if you look at that turbine these guys where
- 9:14Speaker 2: and you unroll it, it goes into a cone.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Did you know that?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Probably not. See you get a lot of news from me.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I'm telling you a lot of information you don't get
- 9:22Speaker 2: anyplace else. Now while this is going on, as the
- 9:26Speaker 2: Middle East is reeling in terms of the oil that's
- 9:30Speaker 2: going through.
- 9:31Speaker 3: You know, Oman is doing fine.
- 9:33Speaker 2: All the other Midiast countries have taken big hits with oil.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Oman has actually increased its revenue because Oman is on
- 9:43Speaker 2: the other side.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Of the port.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Most of it's oil and it can ship its oil
- 9:49Speaker 2: over through the country by pipeline other countries can't and
- 9:55Speaker 2: then going into the Red Sea. So it is doing
- 9:59Speaker 2: really well. And unfortunately for the rest of the world,
- 10:05Speaker 2: while this craziness is going on, there's Oman. Kuwait International
- 10:11Speaker 2: Airport was hit last week. Oman condemned the attack. They said, oh,
- 10:15Speaker 2: this is terrible, but that the name Iran at all.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Name didn't even show up. What the government said Oman
- 10:22Speaker 2: its rejection of all military acts that undermined the region's security. Boy,
- 10:27Speaker 2: there's a veiled reference not just to Iran but to
- 10:29Speaker 2: Israel in the United States too, But they don't mention
- 10:32Speaker 2: Iran by name.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Now.
- 10:36Speaker 2: The Trump administration, during Trump administration one had great relationships
- 10:41Speaker 2: as the United States did with Oman. Matter of fact,
- 10:44Speaker 2: Trump the family cut a deal to build a Trump unusual,
- 10:48Speaker 2: Trump branded luxury real estate project in Oman, and of
- 10:52Speaker 2: course that raised all kinds of ethical issues. But after
- 10:58Speaker 2: Israel led its brief war against Iran, remember the two
- 11:01Speaker 2: week attack, the tie started to fray and once again, Oman,
- 11:07Speaker 2: leading up to the war, tried to be the mediator
- 11:10Speaker 2: between the US and Iran. But it's really clear that
- 11:15Speaker 2: Oman has a very different view of the talks than
- 11:18Speaker 2: the president. Oman's foreign minister said that a peace deal
- 11:23Speaker 2: was within our reach if we just allowed diplomacy to
- 11:27Speaker 2: get the space that it needs. Here, well, the president
- 11:30Speaker 2: is saying, we're done with diplomacy, we want to cut
- 11:33Speaker 2: a deal. But what's happening is Iran is real is backpedaling.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It was back and forth, and it just takes forever.
- 11:41Speaker 2: What the president doesn't understand as he says, oh, they're
- 11:45Speaker 2: two days away from a deal where I'm going to
- 11:46Speaker 2: have it over the weekend. The negotiations have stopped. We're
- 11:50Speaker 2: absolutely right there, not even close. Iran has said not
- 11:55Speaker 2: even close, because Iran takes its time, and it says
- 12:01Speaker 2: the longer this thing takes, the better off we are.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Because at some point politically, the president is going to
- 12:09Speaker 2: lose all of his popularity even among his followers, especially
- 12:13Speaker 2: if troops go in there.
- 12:14Speaker 3: He's going to have a tough time.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Iran doesn't have to worry about any kind of political fallout.
- 12:20Speaker 2: It doesn't, but the Revolutionary Guard cares about what public
- 12:24Speaker 2: public opinion is. Hell, they went out and shot twenty
- 12:27Speaker 2: thousand people that were demonstrating. We'll show you. Have you
- 12:32Speaker 2: noticed that there are no more demonstrations out on the
- 12:34Speaker 2: streets of Iran of Tehran. Yeah, because you get killed
- 12:39Speaker 2: because they shoot you, because they don't care.
- 12:43Speaker 3: So we're going to see what happens right now.
- 12:45Speaker 2: The President said as yesterday that carg Island was going
- 12:49Speaker 2: to be taken out. Carg Island is where ninety percent
- 12:52Speaker 2: of Iran's oil is shipped out of and the President said,
- 12:56Speaker 2: we're taking out carg Island. Well, this morning CNN and
- 13:00Speaker 2: The New York Times reported that the President said the
- 13:03Speaker 2: American people may not have the stomach for an attack
- 13:07Speaker 2: on card Island, So what's going to happen. Well, we're
- 13:12Speaker 2: going to talk about this one. And the President has
- 13:14Speaker 2: said that's going to happen a night. Now, we'll see,
- 13:18Speaker 2: we'll see, all right. I want to invite you to
- 13:22Speaker 2: an event on Saturday evening, June twenty at the Walt
- 13:27Speaker 2: Disney Concert Hall. It's the La Lawyer's Philharmonic celebrating two
- 13:32Speaker 2: hundred and fifty.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Birthday of America of the United States.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And this is the LA Lawyer lawyers and judges and
- 13:39Speaker 2: people in the illegal field having and what that is
- 13:42Speaker 2: an orchestra and a choral group. And I amc the
- 13:45Speaker 2: event every year and it's pretty impressive. I just love
- 13:49Speaker 2: listening to that, and I will be addressed in my
- 13:52Speaker 2: tuxedo and generally make an ass out of myself, which
- 13:55Speaker 2: I do. Concert tickets twenty to one hundred and thirty
- 13:58Speaker 2: five dollars, so it's very reasonably priced, half of which
- 14:01Speaker 2: is tax deductible. And so you find out more information
- 14:05Speaker 2: visit LA Lawyers Phil dot org as LA Lawyers phil
- 14:11Speaker 2: as In Philharmonic La Lawyersphil dot org.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Okay, come Sunday, We've got an event going on.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Actually, Washington has an event going on and it is
- 14:24Speaker 2: the UFC Fight South Lawn of the White House. Now,
- 14:28Speaker 2: whatever you say, and I talk a lot about it,
- 14:31Speaker 2: whatever you can say about President Trump, you are never
- 14:35Speaker 2: going to be able to say that he is understated,
- 14:39Speaker 2: that he puts a soft touch on everything he does,
- 14:44Speaker 2: that he is sedate and calm and never overreacts, or
- 14:49Speaker 2: overdes anything.
- 14:51Speaker 3: So there's a.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Sixty million dollar fight going on. Now we're sixty million. Well,
- 14:57Speaker 2: if you look at what went up on the South Lawn,
- 15:01Speaker 2: you've got that massive infrastructure, that massive physical almost looks
- 15:06Speaker 2: like a well, I guess almost looks like a ferris
- 15:10Speaker 2: wheel without the fairest part of it. And did some
- 15:13Speaker 2: massive production and the logistics were insane. Now, building a
- 15:20Speaker 2: sporting event that's going to be on television that accommodates
- 15:24Speaker 2: more than one hundred thousand people without existing arena infrastructure,
- 15:31Speaker 2: that is not an easy thing to do. So there
- 15:34Speaker 2: was a lawsuit that was filed by a couple of
- 15:37Speaker 2: people that we're trying to stop this thing, you know, stupid,
- 15:41Speaker 2: ridiculous lawsuit saying that their view of the Washington Monument
- 15:45Speaker 2: was being interfered with.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I mean, just crazy.
- 15:48Speaker 2: But what happens is or happened is court documents that
- 15:52Speaker 2: were submitted by the Trump administration in relation to defending
- 15:56Speaker 2: lawsuit show that the UFC events this week and through
- 16:02Speaker 2: the weekend are going to cost more than sixty million dollars.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Includes food that octagon cage, four hundred and ninety four
- 16:10Speaker 2: porta potties trucked in for the crowd, and according to
- 16:16Speaker 2: the White House, this is highly complex, multifaceted event that
- 16:21Speaker 2: has been carefully planned by a multitude of public and
- 16:25Speaker 2: private entities over a significant period of time.
- 16:28Speaker 3: No kidding, it is no small deal.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Now, this coincides with President Trump's eightieth birthday and is
- 16:38Speaker 2: also celebrating the two hundred and fiftieth birthday of the
- 16:42Speaker 2: United States. You tell me which one is holding in precedent.
- 16:45Speaker 2: But it's gonna be a double hit. That's what the
- 16:47Speaker 2: White House says, So okay, we'll give it to them.
- 16:49Speaker 2: The crowd size has grown rather substantially. In June, he
- 16:56Speaker 2: announced plans for the fight, billed as this celebration of
- 17:00Speaker 2: the country's two hundred and fiftieth birthday. He predicted it
- 17:03Speaker 2: would bring twenty to twenty five thousand people. The court
- 17:06Speaker 2: documents show that one hundred and twenty five thousand people
- 17:10Speaker 2: are expected and seventy five thousand people requested tickets. Tickets
- 17:15Speaker 2: are free, by the way, unluel ringside are twelve thousand
- 17:19Speaker 2: or fifteen thousand, two hundred and fifty thousand dollars if
- 17:21Speaker 2: I'm not mistaken for some ringside seats.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Now does that go to the USC.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I don't know, but the UFC is fronting the cost
- 17:32Speaker 2: sixty million dollars. It's responsible for the production, labor, construction, promotion,
- 17:39Speaker 2: also the perishable food items that must be bought.
- 17:44Speaker 3: They're selling food there.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Four thousand South Lawn guests and one hundred and twenty
- 17:50Speaker 2: thousand ellipse As guests and it is, boy, what a
- 17:57Speaker 2: deal this thing is. So what are you gonna do?
- 18:02Speaker 2: It's going to be a huge events. Never been done before,
- 18:04Speaker 2: nothing close to it has been done. But again, the
- 18:07Speaker 2: President wants to do bigger, better, faster than anything else
- 18:14Speaker 2: that has ever been done. Look at the ballroom, look
- 18:17Speaker 2: at the arc the triumph that he was to put up,
- 18:21Speaker 2: far taller than the Arc to Triumph in Paris. I
- 18:25Speaker 2: mean he's literally doing everything he put can to put
- 18:29Speaker 2: the Trump stamp on in Washington and across the country.
- 18:35Speaker 2: So every day, twenty to thirty trucks filled with equipment, staging, infrastructure,
- 18:40Speaker 2: technical material had to be screened before they came into
- 18:44Speaker 2: the White House or on the White House grounds for installation.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Seven hundred to nine hundred subcontractors were involved. And can
- 18:54Speaker 2: you imagine the security, anti scale fencing bike racked barycodes, barricades,
- 19:01Speaker 2: US Secret Service screening facilities. How much is the government
- 19:05Speaker 2: paying for when't paying for all of security measures for sure?
- 19:11Speaker 2: And that includes the Secret Service and the metropol Well,
- 19:14Speaker 2: the metropolity police are paid for by Washington d C.
- 19:17Speaker 2: But the Secret Service and any other federal employees are
- 19:20Speaker 2: going to be paid for by the government.
- 19:22Speaker 3: So it is being touted.
- 19:25Speaker 2: No, I think it's true that UFC is paying for
- 19:29Speaker 2: the majority of it. Now is sixty million dollars is
- 19:32Speaker 2: at an investment. I think it's the best investment they
- 19:35Speaker 2: could ever make. They're going to get a lot of
- 19:39Speaker 2: press from this. And there's one guy that owns it
- 19:41Speaker 2: all and he's a friend of the president. All right,
- 19:46Speaker 2: coming up, I'm gonna do a story. This is gonna
- 19:48Speaker 2: be fun on Sunday. You know it's gonna be. Where's
- 19:51Speaker 2: gonna be?
- 19:52Speaker 3: Where can you watch this, Michelle?
- 19:56Speaker 1: I know that they're I think they're streaming it. I
- 19:58Speaker 1: have to look is.
- 19:59Speaker 3: It on any network or any platform?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Cono, do you know if there is CBS? I have
- 20:08Speaker 1: to I have to look it up and see.
- 20:09Speaker 3: And it turned out there's gonna be two fights, right.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Paramount plus is where it's gonna be there.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Okay, And there's gonna be it was supposed to be
- 20:16Speaker 2: a whole bunch of world championship fights, and now I
- 20:21Speaker 2: think it's gonna be two of those.
- 20:23Speaker 3: So I don't know. This is changing minute to minute.
- 20:26Speaker 1: There's a few undercards and then there's the big fight.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And it was originally, if I remember, it was supposed
- 20:33Speaker 2: to be about eight major fights, and now it's down
- 20:36Speaker 2: to two, and I don't know the answer.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Might you know, I may watch it.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Well, I'm not a big fan of UFC fighting anyway,
- 20:42Speaker 2: and violent it is violent. I'm much more a fan
- 20:47Speaker 2: of pie eating contests, and not enough of them are televised.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Unfortunately, seven total fights on the card.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Tomorrow the IPO comes out for I
- 20:58Speaker 2: believe SpaceX, and Elon Musk is going to probably be
- 21:03Speaker 2: the world's first trillionaire if the it sells. The stock
- 21:07Speaker 2: sells at one hundred and thirty five dollars a share,
- 21:09Speaker 2: like it's going to open at. And I'm trying to
- 21:13Speaker 2: figure out what a trillionare is and the Wall Street
- 21:15Speaker 2: Journal has figured out to describe a trillion dollars. The
- 21:22Speaker 2: difference between a million a billion and a trillion. So
- 21:26Speaker 2: if we do it in time in timelines, a million
- 21:31Speaker 2: seconds ago was two weeks ago, that's a million seconds.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Billion seconds is nineteen ninety four, going back to the
- 21:44Speaker 2: days of pulp fiction. A trillion seconds puts us back
- 21:50Speaker 2: in the ice age. Yeah, can you imagine that in dollars?
- 21:57Speaker 2: Just completely crazy? All Right, Today, I think I'm going
- 22:00Speaker 2: to hold off on the subject of Take thee to
- 22:03Speaker 2: a Nunnery because it's too good a story. So what
- 22:06Speaker 2: I'm gonna do is spend a minute talking about what
- 22:09Speaker 2: is happening today, and the big one is will carg
- 22:13Speaker 2: Island be bombed by the United States. The President has
- 22:17Speaker 2: said yesterday that because because the Iranians are not coming
- 22:21Speaker 2: to the table, they are being way.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Too slow about these negotiations.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Because one thing about the President is he is not
- 22:29Speaker 2: the most patient guy in the world.
- 22:31Speaker 3: He wants a deal. He wants a deal.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Now he has said we have a deal, it's going
- 22:35Speaker 2: to happen within two three days.
- 22:38Speaker 3: It hasn't.
- 22:39Speaker 2: And so yesterday card Island, which is where Iran ninety
- 22:43Speaker 2: percent of Iran's oil is processed and distributed from, is
- 22:47Speaker 2: going to be hit and taken over. That was yesterday
- 22:50Speaker 2: there it didn't quite happen. Yesterday there was some minimal
- 22:55Speaker 2: or modified attacks. So today we're hearing that tonight. It's
- 22:59Speaker 2: going to happen if the Iranians don't come to the table,
- 23:04Speaker 2: which I have serious doubts whether they will, because the
- 23:07Speaker 2: President said the Iranians have agreed to the major terms,
- 23:11Speaker 2: they want to deal really badly, and we're just on
- 23:15Speaker 2: the precipice of signing this deal. Well, the only people
- 23:18Speaker 2: that are saying that's not true happen to be the Iranians.
- 23:24Speaker 2: They're saying, we're not even close, and they want the
- 23:27Speaker 2: negotiations to go on and on, and I think rightly so.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Time is on their side.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Why because public opinion is going straight downhill for the
- 23:37Speaker 2: president in terms of this war, and public opinion means
- 23:41Speaker 2: absolutely nothing in Iran. They just don't care. The Revolutionary
- 23:47Speaker 2: Guard controls Iran. Remember when the President said that when
- 23:53Speaker 2: who many was killed and quote, a regime change took place,
- 23:56Speaker 2: which it didn't, that the new people in charge are
- 23:59Speaker 2: more rational and they're gonna come to the table more quickly.
- 24:03Speaker 2: It's exactly the opposite. The new leadership is far more
- 24:08Speaker 2: hardcore than the previous leader leadership is so we'll certainly
- 24:12Speaker 2: talk about that if the attack happens tonight.
- 24:14Speaker 3: So we're done with the show.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Coming up, Gary and Shannon Tomorrow, we're back again Footy
- 24:20Speaker 2: Friday at eight o'clock, without the Foody Friday because Neil
- 24:23Speaker 2: doesn't go back till Monday. Heather Brooks is with this
- 24:26Speaker 2: fillyon for Amy and she'll be here for the next
- 24:28Speaker 2: another week till the end of the next Friday. Michelle
- 24:33Speaker 2: is gone tomorrow and and comes back. So we have
- 24:37Speaker 2: a modified crew of people, but the show is still brilliant, wonderful.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Just ask me, I'll be bored and happy to tell you.
- 24:44Speaker 3: That's it.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Guys, We're We're back tomorrow, same place, same station, KFI
- 24:49Speaker 2: AM sixty.
