- 0:03Speaker 1: Out if you happen to have your garbage bin at
- 0:11Speaker 1: the end of your driveway, Angie, and someone you know
- 0:14Speaker 1: is walking by, maybe they got a little four legged friend. Yeah,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and you also maybe catch on your ring camera that
- 0:21Speaker 1: they have a doggy waist bag is what I'll call it, Okay,
- 0:25Speaker 1: And as they're walking past, they do a quick, little
- 0:28Speaker 1: open toss and keep it moving, almost like in a smooth,
- 0:31Speaker 1: too cool for school moment.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I feel like you've done this before. I think I
- 0:37Speaker 2: have done that before. I tried not to, but I
- 0:39Speaker 2: think I have.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Would you be upset if someone threw a doggy waist
- 0:45Speaker 1: bag in your garbage bin?
- 0:47Speaker 2: No, wouldn't bother you at all.
- 0:49Speaker 3: No, people who get mad at that. I don't have
- 0:52Speaker 3: a pet, so I don't know.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't. I obviously I don't care. I could
- 0:56Speaker 1: not care less. I'd much rather you throw it away
- 0:58Speaker 1: and clean up after your dog than not. I will
- 1:01Speaker 1: tell you right now there is an epidemic of dog
- 1:04Speaker 1: poop around the parks in South Fargo, and I believe
- 1:08Speaker 1: West Fargo.
- 1:08Speaker 2: You were telling me about that.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Ye, yeah, And West Fargo there were a lot of
- 1:13Speaker 3: poopsy doopsies all over the grass and I was thinking, though,
- 1:16Speaker 3: is it because.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Because again I don't have a pet, so I don't
- 1:20Speaker 2: know how this works.
- 1:20Speaker 3: When it's super snowing out and there was snow everywhere
- 1:23Speaker 3: for a long time.
- 1:24Speaker 2: No, and the dog goals, isn't it kind of hard
- 1:27Speaker 2: to pick up the poop? Like don't you just wait
- 1:32Speaker 2: until it all thaws out and then pick it up?
- 1:34Speaker 2: Or I don't know how that works.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And see I don't do that. I pick it up
- 1:37Speaker 1: right after, no matter what the temp, no matter the snow, nothing,
- 1:41Speaker 1: because I don't want a slew of doggie droppings in
- 1:45Speaker 1: the backyard to pick up. Yeah, when the snow eventually melts. Now,
- 1:49Speaker 1: if that's how you do it at your house and
- 1:51Speaker 1: it's your yard of pairs, all right, I couldn't care
- 1:53Speaker 1: less what you have your dog doing your yard or
- 1:55Speaker 1: when you pick it up or if you ever.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I guess it doesn't matter to me.
- 1:59Speaker 1: But I can not stand as a dog lover a
- 2:02Speaker 1: dog owner. I cannot stand as I walk my dog
- 2:06Speaker 1: through some parks and I see dog dropping after dog
- 2:09Speaker 1: dropping after dog dropping. You are at a park, pick
- 2:14Speaker 1: up your dog's poop. It is insane to me that
- 2:18Speaker 1: you are responsible enough to feed this thing, care for
- 2:21Speaker 1: this thing, water this thing, but not responsible enough to
- 2:24Speaker 1: clean up after it. That's crazy to me. And most
- 2:27Speaker 1: parks have garbage bins there.
- 2:30Speaker 2: N Yeah, I don't.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I'm someone who like I don't litter obviously, like I
- 2:35Speaker 3: pick up after myself.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I would pick up actually, because I.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Know that my kids would not feel like it in
- 2:42Speaker 3: terms of picking up the poo or whatever. That's part
- 2:45Speaker 3: of the reasons that we don't have a dog. We
- 2:47Speaker 3: have these conversations all the time. I'm like, yes, but
- 2:49Speaker 3: will you be responsible enough because far days and yes,
- 2:55Speaker 3: and the answer at least they're self aware children.
- 2:57Speaker 2: The answer is no.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And so yeah, I get it. So if there's droppings everywhere,
- 3:03Speaker 3: I'm not like, that's annoying and gross. I'm never gonna care.
- 3:06Speaker 3: If there's a dog wastebag that's thrown in my it's trash.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly cares.
- 3:10Speaker 1: And so I posted this on the big ninety eight
- 3:12Speaker 1: point and seven Facebook page and an a overwhelming I
- 3:16Speaker 1: really have only seen like one or two Yes, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: would care, but an overwhelming amount of people are saying, no,
- 3:22Speaker 1: I don't care, throw it in the bin. Here's what
- 3:24Speaker 1: I'll say if my garbage bin is at the end
- 3:26Speaker 1: of the driveway, and you have some dog dog waste
- 3:29Speaker 1: bag full, throw it in there. I'd much rather it
- 3:32Speaker 1: ends up there than in the grass or in someone's yard,
- 3:35Speaker 1: or you don't pick up after it at all. So
- 3:37Speaker 1: throw it in there. And this is great news for
- 3:39Speaker 1: everyone else who has a dog. If you are walking
- 3:42Speaker 1: and you have a wasist bag, A vast majority, I'm saying,
- 3:46Speaker 1: like ninety eight percent of people could not care less
- 3:49Speaker 1: if you throw that waste bag in their garbage, as
- 3:52Speaker 1: long as it's at the end of the driveway. Now,
- 3:54Speaker 1: if my garbage is up in my garage, I don't
- 3:57Speaker 1: want you walking up through my garage in to or
- 4:00Speaker 1: up my driveway into my garage to throw it away.
- 4:03Speaker 3: But if it's sitting out there, what if it's just
- 4:06Speaker 3: right outside the garage, but it's still outside second one,
- 4:09Speaker 3: two eight, all one nine eighty seven. Are you someone
- 4:12Speaker 3: that this would bother? If it would bother you, if
- 4:15Speaker 3: someone would throw a dog waste bag in your trash,
- 4:17Speaker 3: can tell us why?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if I want someone necessarily walking
- 4:22Speaker 1: up my driveway to do it. I guess mm hmmm,
- 4:24Speaker 1: because my garbage bins are always in the garage because
- 4:26Speaker 1: I got so sick of them blowing over in the
- 4:28Speaker 1: wind all the time that I was like, well, I'm
- 4:30Speaker 1: not doing this anymore. So they're in the garage. So
- 4:32Speaker 1: I would not like that necessarily, but anytime it's at
- 4:35Speaker 1: the end if you need to use it, and I
- 4:37Speaker 1: think now that people know a vast majority of people
- 4:40Speaker 1: do not care. As long as the bin is at
- 4:43Speaker 1: the end of the driveway. If you throw it in there,
- 4:45Speaker 1: maybe we'll do a little better job of picking up
- 4:47Speaker 1: our dog droppings at parks or on the sidewalks or whatever.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Because it's insane every April.
- 4:54Speaker 3: To deal with this, I want to hear from the
- 4:56Speaker 3: people who it would bother.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I want to hear that.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Seven one two eight zero one nine eight seven, and
- 5:03Speaker 1: a big shout out to everyone who was basically like, no,
- 5:05Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I'd much rather be in the garbage than on the
- 5:08Speaker 2: ground somewhere. Put the dogs out. Every April.
- 5:17Speaker 1: This seems to be a thing where all of the
- 5:19Speaker 1: doggie droppings that weren't picked up over the winter with
- 5:22Speaker 1: the snow and whatever, all of a sudden they re emerge.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And now it seems like every park is just full
- 5:27Speaker 1: of doggie droppings, so we wanted to know this morning
- 5:30Speaker 1: to maybe help mitigate this. If someone was walking their
- 5:34Speaker 1: dog and threw a dog waste bag into your garbage
- 5:37Speaker 1: bin that maybe you have at the end of the driveway,
- 5:39Speaker 1: would you mind? And a vast majority of people are
- 5:42Speaker 1: saying no, they couldn't care less.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And we do have someone on the phone, good morning,
- 5:45Speaker 2: who's this?
- 5:46Speaker 3: This is Andrew, and yes, that would one piss me
- 5:50Speaker 3: off because I don't have pets. I don't like pets.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I think dogs are gross. I think cats are gross.
- 5:56Speaker 4: And if you're picking up your dog's poop and putting
- 5:58Speaker 4: it into my trash, which, by the way, in my
- 6:01Speaker 4: trash for trash.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Is pretty clean, then all that's gonna do is piss
- 6:05Speaker 2: me off. I do not need stinky trash.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And you know what, well, I don't share that up.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I don't share the sentiment, is Andrew. He's still right,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you know, you know there's nothing wrong with you not
- 6:20Speaker 1: wanting people throwing stuff in your garbage.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm dumb, but he's right. He doesn't have pets.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I don't have pets. My trash is pretty clean. I
- 6:30Speaker 2: guess just like Andrews. But if it's trash, he really
- 6:34Speaker 2: felt away about it.
- 6:35Speaker 3: He was very passionate. I feel like I get where
- 6:37Speaker 3: he's coming from. If he doesn't have pets, then why
- 6:40Speaker 3: should his trash can at any point smell like dog
- 6:43Speaker 3: do bro?
- 6:45Speaker 2: But pick a thing like this is of all the
- 6:47Speaker 2: hills to die on. This doesn't seem to be the.
- 6:51Speaker 5: One celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude
- 7:00Speaker 5: on Big ninety eight point seven. If I could, I
- 7:02Speaker 5: would keep this feeling in a basket job busted out
- 7:05Speaker 5: when it was someone's acting hard.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 7:10Speaker 4: two and oh one eight.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Seven kids, I also needed to win that day.
- 7:16Speaker 1: A big shout out this morning to Liz as this
- 7:20Speaker 1: was a text yesterday. But her little victory she slept
- 7:24Speaker 1: in brand new clean sheets last night.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I love that. I just feel warm and soft ring here. Yes,
- 7:33Speaker 2: what a great feeling, Liz.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And then another little win here. This person was thrifting.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Let's see, my name is Zach. I was thrifting for
- 7:41Speaker 1: a new dress for a date with my husband and
- 7:43Speaker 1: I couldn't find anything I liked. On my way out,
- 7:46Speaker 1: a royal blue sun dress caught my eye and it
- 7:49Speaker 1: was the It was an exact Holy smokes, let me
- 7:52Speaker 1: learn to read here. It was an exact duplicate of
- 7:56Speaker 1: my emerald green sun dress from prom.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Last difference was the color.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So I bought it and looked stunning for our Texas
- 8:04Speaker 1: roadhouse dates.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Well, that is wonderful.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I love when you unexpectedly find an item of clothing
- 8:13Speaker 3: the greatest, that fits perfect, it's exactly what you want
- 8:16Speaker 3: without realizing that you really wanted it in the first place.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I mean, that's a victory. Those are few and far between.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's when it causes you to walk with a
- 8:25Speaker 1: little bit of extra aura and you know how you
- 8:28Speaker 1: got it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: It's just wonderful. Angie. Do you have a little victory today?
- 8:31Speaker 3: I do, And it was actually from a couple of
- 8:33Speaker 3: days ago, but I remembered it yesterday when Mike and
- 8:36Speaker 3: I were on our walk.
- 8:38Speaker 2: We were talking about how we're.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Gonna go get tickets to see the Mario movie when
- 8:42Speaker 3: it comes out with the kids, and we just went
- 8:45Speaker 3: to go see Project Tail Mary, which was excellent, highly
- 8:48Speaker 3: recommend and I remembered that because Mikey is sixty, we
- 8:55Speaker 3: got this senior discount on all.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Right, thought and save you a couple.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Yeah, saved like three dollars. And then Liam is still
- 9:03Speaker 3: a kid, so he had the kid price.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Me and Aiden were regular people.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Full price, Yeah, full price. But it was nice that
- 9:11Speaker 3: I still have a child and I have a senior
- 9:15Speaker 3: that can get us discounts on the tickets.
- 9:17Speaker 2: It was great.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I think that's great. Well yesterday, my little victory, well
- 9:21Speaker 1: I kind of have two. Number one, it is opening
- 9:23Speaker 1: day for baseball season. Yes, and Angie comes marching into
- 9:27Speaker 1: the studio with a jumbo bag of sunflower seeds for
- 9:33Speaker 1: us to snack on, you know, during commercials and in
- 9:35Speaker 1: between songs. Perfect, perfectly fitting for opening day for baseball today.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So I thank you for that, of course. And then
- 9:43Speaker 1: my other little victory yesterday. And I am someone who
- 9:46Speaker 1: stays up way later than I should. It's just I
- 9:48Speaker 1: always are. I've always done this. I've been like this
- 9:51Speaker 1: since I was a kid. You know, everyone has a
- 9:53Speaker 1: kid who the mom or dad hates trying to make
- 9:55Speaker 1: him go to bed at night. Yep, that was me
- 9:57Speaker 1: one thousand percent, because I hated sitting there laying and
- 10:01Speaker 1: my brain's going on thousand miles an hour.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I'm sure there are some eighty HD kind of things
- 10:05Speaker 2: going on. Last night.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Your boy rested his head down on his little pillow
- 10:10Speaker 1: at about nine to thirty. That's early for you, that's
- 10:13Speaker 1: early for me. Yeah, and I'm pretty sure I fell asleep.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm not kidding in the first forty five seconds. Oh well, yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 1: it was wonderful. I'm I'm a lot closer to like
- 10:21Speaker 1: a ten ten thirty kind of guy. For someone who
- 10:23Speaker 1: has to wake up so early, well, I.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Think that's a massive victory.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I'm someone who I think sleep hygiene is super important.
- 10:30Speaker 2: So the earlier you go to bed, the happier I will.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Be right, And it was nice to fall asleep that
- 10:36Speaker 1: quick and that early last night. Well, I was at
- 10:42Speaker 1: Wimmers Diamonds this past Saturday as they have got a
- 10:46Speaker 1: big giant or had a big giant sale going on.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I think it ended yesterday and it was like thirty
- 10:51Speaker 1: percent off of rings. But as I'm in Wimmers, you know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: you wander around look at some jewelry. I bought me
- 10:56Speaker 1: a nice chain, which I'm very excited about and can't
- 10:59Speaker 1: stop talking to end. You bounce my new personality five days.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I love it.
- 11:03Speaker 3: If my breast reduction is going to be my personality
- 11:05Speaker 3: for the next year.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Your personality can be that you are wearing a shain
- 11:09Speaker 2: all right, Well, I appreciate that.
- 11:11Speaker 1: And as I was there, I'm looking at you know, rings,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and I am someone who wears a wedding ring on
- 11:17Speaker 1: a day to day basis, a daily basis, and I
- 11:20Speaker 1: have buddies who don't and are married. And so I
- 11:24Speaker 1: was wondering this was for the guys this morning or
- 11:27Speaker 1: ladies you could answer it. Maybe for hubby if maybe
- 11:29Speaker 1: he's busy working right now, does he wear or do
- 11:32Speaker 1: you wear your wedding ring on a daily basis?
- 11:35Speaker 2: Now I do.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I picked a very bad day though to forget.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I'm yeah, I'm looking over at you and that finger looks.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Real naked, and I do have a tiny excuse. So
- 11:49Speaker 1: I built these two night stands for my wife and I.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And so my normal place where you have your phone,
- 11:56Speaker 1: your wallet, your keys, like every night, yeah, before you
- 11:59Speaker 1: go to bed, it's kind of changed where I put
- 12:02Speaker 1: all those things.
- 12:03Speaker 2: And so my morning routine is just off a tiny bit. Wait,
- 12:06Speaker 2: you don't wear your ring t bed? No, I take
- 12:09Speaker 2: it off when I get home.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Why, I don't know if I'm doing, like the dishes
- 12:13Speaker 1: or any little chore around the house. I just I
- 12:15Speaker 1: don't want it to get stuck or pot on something
- 12:18Speaker 1: that makes sense. Yeah, And so my excuse today is
- 12:21Speaker 1: I kind of have a new morning routine with where
- 12:23Speaker 1: I find all my things, and I forgot to grab it.
- 12:25Speaker 1: But generally I am a ring wear I normally to
- 12:29Speaker 1: work will wear like a silicone one.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but you definitely have a ring on your finger
- 12:34Speaker 3: that indicates that you are, in fact a married man.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:37Speaker 2: And we were talking about this at Wimmers. On Saturday.
- 12:40Speaker 1: When I will go to like a big event or
- 12:43Speaker 1: a wedding or a fancy whatever, I'll wear my actual
- 12:47Speaker 1: hard like nice tungsten steel ring.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:50Speaker 1: But on a regular day to day basis, I kind
- 12:52Speaker 1: of just wear a couple of these different silicone ones.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And so I was just curious what other dudes we're
- 12:58Speaker 1: doing out there. So let us know seven oh one
- 12:59Speaker 1: two zero one nine eight seven, or you can message
- 13:03Speaker 1: us on Facebook as well, and there are there is
- 13:06Speaker 1: an answer on here that I really am interested in trying.
- 13:11Speaker 1: But Rod, he said his ring doesn't ever come off.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Tracy never comes off, and Jordan, who I feel terrible
- 13:19Speaker 1: for Jordan said, I used to wear it frequently. Then
- 13:22Speaker 1: my three four year old at the time found it
- 13:24Speaker 1: in the safe spot and flushed it down the toilet.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Lesson learned, Oh that's terrible. Yeah, it kind I mean,
- 13:32Speaker 2: I'm clear laughing, right, but that's a bummer, kind of
- 13:36Speaker 2: a bummer.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I mean not normally, not always, but normally, you know,
- 13:39Speaker 1: the dude ones are a little easier to replace, just
- 13:42Speaker 1: there usually a little lessend engagement ring.
- 13:46Speaker 3: If that goes down the toilet, then there's a problem.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Then you put that kid up for a dut.
- 13:50Speaker 1: And I'm just kidding, but I have debated doing this, Angie.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I like this idea from Joshua. He says his is
- 13:56Speaker 1: tattooed on, so he has like a tattoo ring kind
- 13:59Speaker 1: of thing.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Oh, I love that. You should do that. You're tetted up.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I got a few. I've debated doing that. I
- 14:05Speaker 1: think it'd be kind of cool. I've just I've looked
- 14:07Speaker 1: at different designs for him, and I've never found one
- 14:10Speaker 1: I liked.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Really. Oh, okay, well this is.
- 14:13Speaker 3: If you are a tattoo artist who has done this,
- 14:17Speaker 3: reach out to get seven oh one te nine eight seven.
- 14:20Speaker 1: The easiest person to get to spend money on planet Earth. Yeah,
- 14:23Speaker 1: that is a true If I can find a cool
- 14:26Speaker 1: ring tattoo idea, I think I would do it. If
- 14:29Speaker 1: you have a tattooed ring, because ladies have these two Yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 1: can this sounds kind of intrusive, but can I see it?
- 14:37Speaker 2: I need some ideas.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Let me know about him at seven oh one two
- 14:40Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven, Angie, if and or
- 14:42Speaker 1: when you are maybe remay read here.
- 14:45Speaker 3: The question is when, because if he's not putting a
- 14:48Speaker 3: ring on it, we're in a fight and we're breaking up.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Would you wear one on a daily basis? Corey wears
- 14:53Speaker 1: hers every day everywhere.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 3: When I was in my previous marriage, I wore my
- 14:59Speaker 3: ring all the time. What happened was I lost some
- 15:01Speaker 3: weight and my fingers got a little bit slimmer. And
- 15:04Speaker 3: then during it was like a fundraiser and we were
- 15:07Speaker 3: sorting things. My ring like flew off and I never
- 15:10Speaker 3: found it again, and maybe someone found my ring as
- 15:13Speaker 3: part of their present. It was like a Christmas fundraiser thing.
- 15:18Speaker 3: But yeah, I would have it fitted correctly and then
- 15:22Speaker 3: I would wear all the time so I could show
- 15:24Speaker 3: everybody that somebody liked me enough.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Well, if you don't wear yours, can you let us
- 15:29Speaker 2: know why.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Maybe it has to do with work, Maybe you wear
- 15:31Speaker 1: it on a chain and you put it around your
- 15:33Speaker 1: neck or something. Let us know why you don't at
- 15:35Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 15:41Speaker 2: But this game is gonna wake.
- 15:42Speaker 1: And there has been a lot of talk of I
- 15:47Speaker 1: think we're kind of going down memory lane a little bit.
- 15:49Speaker 1: TLC putting together a potential reunion the Spice Girl.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it was. It's TLC.
- 15:55Speaker 3: It's going on, yes, en Vogue and Salt and Peppa,
- 15:59Speaker 3: I mean, buy Squirrels. They were gonna give us a
- 16:01Speaker 3: reunion for the thirtieth anniversary.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Still might they still might. But yeah, I feel like
- 16:06Speaker 2: twenty twenty six is kind of the year of nostal Yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yesterday my wife Corey and I watched and I I
- 16:13Speaker 1: kind of paid attention. Normally, when she has something on
- 16:16Speaker 1: and I'm like rolling my eyes at it, I'll watch
- 16:18Speaker 1: while I play on my phone for the most part.
- 16:20Speaker 1: But I paid attention for the most part to the
- 16:22Speaker 1: Hannah Montana reunion thing.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's just kind.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Of interesting to hear my Ley talk a little bit
- 16:28Speaker 1: about her life now and what it was like back then.
- 16:30Speaker 1: So I went down a little nostalgic trip down memory
- 16:33Speaker 1: lane here, Angie. And there are things that kids these
- 16:37Speaker 1: days will never ever ever experience in their life. But
- 16:41Speaker 1: if you were born in the eighties, nineties, maybe even
- 16:44Speaker 1: two thousands, for some of these, do you remember some
- 16:47Speaker 1: of these here, Angie, Like when one person could use
- 16:51Speaker 1: the internet at a time, Burrah, that was Could.
- 16:56Speaker 2: You imagine that nowadays?
- 16:58Speaker 4: No?
- 16:58Speaker 3: My kids would fully yeah, right, like I don't understand
- 17:02Speaker 3: on Earth, and they don't even understand the sound the.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Practice, right, frank Right?
- 17:07Speaker 1: What about waiting for your favorite song to come on
- 17:09Speaker 1: the radio with your tape recorder ready? If you wanted
- 17:12Speaker 1: to listen to Livia Dean Man I need and get
- 17:15Speaker 1: that on tape or something, you sat there and you
- 17:18Speaker 1: paid attention to every single second of that radio station
- 17:22Speaker 1: so you could hit record instead of now you pretend
- 17:24Speaker 1: you know, you just find it.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I think though still to this day,
- 17:29Speaker 3: for me, there's something about hearing the song I want
- 17:32Speaker 3: on the radio. It feels like I worked for it,
- 17:34Speaker 3: like I earned it, right, I'm just searching it up
- 17:37Speaker 3: on some app No, no, no, I like that vibe.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Do you remember back in the day, and I was
- 17:41Speaker 1: talking to this as I was at Magnify Financial a
- 17:43Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago for their big grand opening. Do
- 17:46Speaker 1: you remember having to call or go to the bank
- 17:49Speaker 1: to find out your balance?
- 17:51Speaker 2: You didn't exactly. You kind of had an idea of.
- 17:53Speaker 1: How much money you had, but you didn't really You
- 17:56Speaker 1: couldn't just figure it out at the tips of your fingers,
- 17:58Speaker 1: do you.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 3: I got my first bank account when I had just
- 18:02Speaker 3: turned eighteen, and I didn't have it was either you
- 18:06Speaker 3: had to go on the computer. Yeah, but like they
- 18:08Speaker 3: didn't have an app yet. Phones didn't have apps yet.
- 18:11Speaker 3: That wasn't even the thing. I was with a flip phone.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I'm aging myself. But I definitely have called to check
- 18:17Speaker 3: my ballot. I can't imagine doing that now.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Or you had to bring the check to the bank.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Do people even have checks anymore?
- 18:24Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 18:25Speaker 2: That was the worst you get.
- 18:26Speaker 1: You'd get paid on a Friday or something and you
- 18:28Speaker 1: missed making it to the bank and then da money
- 18:31Speaker 1: until like Wednesday or now you.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Can just take a picture of the check.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Oh technology, kids these days are going wait what They're like,
- 18:39Speaker 1: what's a check?
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah? Like, hey, kids, mom or Dad.
- 18:42Speaker 1: At one point, they didn't necessarily have driving instructions or directions.
- 18:48Speaker 1: They would either A have to look them up on
- 18:50Speaker 1: a map or B print them off a map quest
- 18:53Speaker 1: and write down kind of the major things they had
- 18:55Speaker 1: to remember to try to get from A to B.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Gabe is born at the exact right time because I
- 19:03Speaker 3: have no sense.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Of direction, and it was the map quest era.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that at least I could print them out and
- 19:10Speaker 3: have them with me in the car, and then I'd
- 19:12Speaker 3: print out the reverse. Yeah, And thank god for maps
- 19:18Speaker 3: so true. I literally never go anywhere without using my maps.
- 19:22Speaker 3: And it's always funny because some people all ask like, oh, where,
- 19:25Speaker 3: like where is this place? And I'm like, oh, if
- 19:28Speaker 3: you go down to that, you don't have to give
- 19:29Speaker 3: me directions, Honey, I'm gonna maps that, like I throw
- 19:32Speaker 3: that into maps.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I just need the address.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Yeah, kids, these days won't ever have to really remember
- 19:38Speaker 1: phone numbers. You and I have had this conversation where
- 19:40Speaker 1: I think our phones long term are going to be
- 19:44Speaker 1: horrible for our memories. We don't have to remember anything anymore.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you right, it is all right. A couple
- 19:50Speaker 1: clicks of the old Fingerpas.
- 19:51Speaker 3: You're saved in my phone as Gabe the Goat, right,
- 19:54Speaker 3: because you look like a goat. Just kidding, because I
- 19:56Speaker 3: think you're the greatest of all time. Right, I could
- 19:58Speaker 3: not tell you what your phone?
- 19:59Speaker 5: Now?
- 20:00Speaker 2: Do you even know what it starts with? Bruh?
- 20:02Speaker 1: You know?
- 20:03Speaker 2: I don't? You know, I don't.
- 20:05Speaker 1: And then finally, kids, you will never understand that at
- 20:09Speaker 1: one point, now, thankfully I didn't have to do this,
- 20:11Speaker 1: but at one point mom or Dad might have had
- 20:14Speaker 1: to get up off the sofa to change the TV channel.
- 20:18Speaker 2: All right.
- 20:18Speaker 1: You couldn't just keep you lounge John and hit a
- 20:20Speaker 1: couple buttons and now you got YouTube, Netflix, Hulu all
- 20:23Speaker 1: at the tip of the finger, mom or Dad had
- 20:26Speaker 1: to get up, walk across the room and do a
- 20:29Speaker 1: little click, click click.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I wish we still had that.
- 20:32Speaker 3: The times I lose my remote, it would be really
- 20:35Speaker 3: great to be able to do it on the TV. Then,
- 20:37Speaker 3: you like, when you don't have the remote, you have
- 20:39Speaker 3: to It's almost like you're trying to caress the TV
- 20:41Speaker 3: to find the button.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Right seven one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 20:46Speaker 1: There's been a lot of nostalgia talk in twenty twenty
- 20:49Speaker 1: six so far, What's something kids these days will never
- 20:51Speaker 1: ever ever have to go through in their lives moving forward.
- 20:57Speaker 4: This is am I, it's me, Hi, the problem is me.
- 21:05Speaker 4: We'll hear one side of the story and with your help,
- 21:09Speaker 4: decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 21:13Speaker 2: That's right, I am the problem. On Big ninety eight
- 21:16Speaker 2: point seven.
- 21:18Speaker 3: We got this one from ruck Hell, Hi, Gab and Angie.
- 21:21Speaker 3: I already know I'm gonna sound like a bad guy,
- 21:24Speaker 3: but I've been dating this guy for a couple months. Physically,
- 21:28Speaker 3: just a gorgeous beast of a man.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Okay, girl.
- 21:30Speaker 3: We have a lot of fun and he's so sweet,
- 21:33Speaker 3: but I've realized we.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Are not compatible intellectually.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Every time we're out with friends, I find myself cringing
- 21:42Speaker 3: at the things he says.
- 21:43Speaker 2: He's not offensive, he's just not that bright.
- 21:47Speaker 3: He misses the point of conversations and sometimes says things
- 21:50Speaker 3: that flat out don't make sense. And I don't want
- 21:54Speaker 3: to be this person. I feel like I don't want
- 21:56Speaker 3: to be this person, but I feel like I need
- 21:58Speaker 3: to break up with him.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Because because he's so dense.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Oh, unless I can somehow make him smarter, I definitely
- 22:05Speaker 3: don't want to tell him why I want to break
- 22:08Speaker 3: up because it sounds so snobby. Basically, what do you
- 22:11Speaker 3: think I should do? Am I actually being problematic here?
- 22:14Speaker 2: Well, Raquel, you and I have not been going on
- 22:17Speaker 2: any dates. I'm married.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Okay, I will say, you know what, you gotta give
- 22:21Speaker 1: us idiots a chance. Sometimes she's describing me, and I'm
- 22:27Speaker 1: just I'm just kidding sort of. Uh, you gotta give
- 22:31Speaker 1: you gotta give us dummies a chance. You're dating a
- 22:33Speaker 1: Kelso from that seventies show, you know, oh gosh, I
- 22:36Speaker 1: hated Kelso. Dummies deserve love too.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Is that how you feel in your marriage with Corey?
- 22:42Speaker 3: Like she's the smart one.
- 22:44Speaker 2: By a mile. He've been close.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I've always said, you know, for our baby g on
- 22:51Speaker 1: the way, I will do anything for her to maybe
- 22:54Speaker 1: have my confidence. That is undeservedly so, and then Corey's brains.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Corey is so much smarter, it's not even close. Okay,
- 23:03Speaker 1: But us dummies deserve love too, Okay.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Roquel, Okay, Roquel, that's there is why I might change
- 23:10Speaker 2: my tune because I relate to this guy.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Yes, our resident dummy says you should say so, just kidding?
- 23:17Speaker 2: What are your thoughts? Seven one eight one nine eight seven.
- 23:20Speaker 3: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 23:22Speaker 3: point seven facebook page.
- 23:24Speaker 2: I have some thoughts and I'll.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Share them with you, But be warned, Gabe, you might
- 23:30Speaker 3: not like me after this.
- 23:31Speaker 2: He's sweet, he makes you feel good. You know, he's nice.
- 23:34Speaker 2: What more do you need? Not everyone can be Einstein.
- 23:38Speaker 2: We're not asking for Einstein. Honey.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one eight seven. What
- 23:44Speaker 1: do you think this morning?
- 23:51Speaker 3: Raquel had written in to let us know that she's
- 23:54Speaker 3: dating a guy who's so gorgeous and so sweet. It's
- 23:58Speaker 3: not me, Oh my gosh, is he? Because she also
- 24:03Speaker 3: said he's a dummy.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Well, you know what, Angie.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Sometimes, Okay, there are some fellas out there, myself included. Okay,
- 24:11Speaker 1: we wake up and for the most part, we're pretty kind,
- 24:14Speaker 1: we're pretty nice.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Yeah, we're a little bit funny.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Okay, we have the same intellectual compatibilities as a stapler.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Okay, we can't help it. What are we supposed to do? Listen?
- 24:25Speaker 3: She wants to know if she's being problematic because she
- 24:28Speaker 3: wants to break up with him because he's dumb, and
- 24:33Speaker 3: Gabe thinks that she should give him a chance because
- 24:36Speaker 3: he's part of a marriage where he's the dumb one.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Us dumbos deserve love too.
- 24:41Speaker 3: That is a very sweet sentiment. I think no. I
- 24:46Speaker 3: think no, girl, you're not the fact that you feel
- 24:51Speaker 3: bad about it that means that you are a kind,
- 24:53Speaker 3: compassionate person. The fact that you don't want to tell him, hey,
- 24:56Speaker 3: we have to break up because you're a dummy. You
- 24:59Speaker 3: don't want to say that that's good, so and you
- 25:01Speaker 3: don't want to hurt his feelings. But yes, break it
- 25:03Speaker 3: off because you're not If you're not compatible, you're not compatible.
- 25:06Speaker 2: What are you gonna do?
- 25:07Speaker 3: If that's something that clearly bothers her? Like your wife, Corey,
- 25:11Speaker 3: she's not bothered that you are not bright. I didn't
- 25:17Speaker 3: mean to use this, am I the problem to just
- 25:19Speaker 3: like troll you?
- 25:20Speaker 2: Oh that's fine, that's right.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Okay, my wife bless me for my looks exactly exactly.
- 25:25Speaker 3: But if it's good to bother you rock out. Yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 3: you do have to break it off. I don't think
- 25:29Speaker 3: you're being problematic. It's fine. One time I broke up
- 25:32Speaker 3: with a guy because I thought he was too boring.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I didn't tell him that, right, you had to find
- 25:37Speaker 3: a different reason. Even if you just say, like the
- 25:40Speaker 3: spark is not there or something.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Yes, why yeah, just why. I feel like some lies
- 25:45Speaker 2: are good. Yeah right, kids don't lie. But if it's to.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Spare his feelings, I feel like it's not the worst
- 25:53Speaker 3: thing in the world.
- 25:54Speaker 2: But I don't think she's a problem for wanting to
- 25:56Speaker 2: end it.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yeah, Julia agrees with you. She said, if you aren't compatible,
- 25:59Speaker 1: then you are compatible. Don't feel bad for what's doing
- 26:01Speaker 1: best for you. It's kinder to go your separate ways
- 26:04Speaker 1: so you can each find your people who Julia.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Is Like Julia and I we're always on the same page.
- 26:11Speaker 3: And I like, that's were all dmy let's.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Me come friend, Kaylee said, not the problem, you're not compatible,
- 26:17Speaker 1: simple as that. Or in other words, he doesn't check
- 26:19Speaker 1: all the boxes. That's okay. You don't want to settle.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know about all that.
- 26:25Speaker 1: All right, there are some people out there. You know
- 26:27Speaker 1: what you do need to settle. We need to have
- 26:28Speaker 1: a little more self awareness.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, game, I'm.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Just saying us dummies deserve love. And that's why I
- 26:35Speaker 1: love this name in our phone, Yolanda, thank you. I
- 26:39Speaker 1: couldn't read for two seconds there, she said, throw him
- 26:42Speaker 1: back in or toss him back in for the rest
- 26:45Speaker 1: of us. See, there is a dummy out there for somebody, Okay,
- 26:49Speaker 1: and I won't stand for this hate. Do you like
- 26:54Speaker 1: that I'm standing up for all us dumbers saying Big
- 26:57Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven.
- 26:59Speaker 2: But yeah, you probably just tell I'm you're not interested
- 27:01Speaker 2: in it's over.
- 27:04Speaker 5: I need some good.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 27:11Speaker 4: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 27:14Speaker 1: West Fargo Horace has hired Matt Crawford as the first
- 27:19Speaker 1: head coach for its new boys soccer program, which begins
- 27:23Speaker 1: play this fall. Crawford comes from West Fargo High School,
- 27:26Speaker 1: where he led the team to an EDC title in
- 27:28Speaker 1: twenty twenty four and consecutive state tournament appearances. A Fargo
- 27:33Speaker 1: native with over fifteen years of coaching experience, Crawford says
- 27:37Speaker 1: he's excited to build the program from the ground up
- 27:40Speaker 1: and connect with the Horrace community. He also added, being
- 27:43Speaker 1: a teacher in the Horrorce school system over the last
- 27:45Speaker 1: few years has allowed me to see the motivation and
- 27:48Speaker 1: drive these student athletes have to grow both on and
- 27:52Speaker 1: off the field. Leaving behind the West Fargo Packer program
- 27:55Speaker 1: and the amazing people is difficult to grasp, but I
- 27:59Speaker 1: am excited to continue seeing those students grow from a
- 28:01Speaker 1: distance at Horace, my first priority is getting to know
- 28:05Speaker 1: the students and parents within the program and beginning to
- 28:07Speaker 1: grow relationships within the community. The Hawks will play their
- 28:12Speaker 1: first game on August eighteenth against Fargo North, a brand
- 28:16Speaker 1: new soccer program and the head coach hopefully ready to
- 28:19Speaker 1: lead the troops.
- 28:20Speaker 3: I love seeing an impassioned person who just wants to
- 28:24Speaker 3: help make kids better.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah, don't forget broken crayon still color and the world
- 28:30Speaker 1: is full of nice people.
- 28:31Speaker 2: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
