- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Isn't that kind of what we're all here for, right?
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: So today we are getting into my top supplements to take and why.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Which ones you need, which ones maybe you don't, brands I recommend, and more.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: And now these are top ones that are basically if you are a human woman, the I'm going through these.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: So these will not target things if you have certain conditions, um, if you've got, yeah, obviously, then you need to like customize things.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: So I'm recommending ones that are kind of like good for overall health, and I'm gonna go through kind of like the symptoms, etc., that you might want to do anyway.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: We're gonna go through it all, but just know that obviously you might need personal ones, but I'm not obviously going to mention all the personal ones that I like.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: So I think I have my top 10, though my top five are my like top five, and then top ten um are obviously the top ten.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: That doesn't make sense, anyways.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: I just heated up some, or not heated up, I made my magical elixir that I love.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I put chocolate mint chocolate element in it.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: It is so good.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: It is the perfect Christmas thing.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: If you have not tried the mint chocolate element, I mean not sponsored.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: I think my code still works.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: We will leave that down below.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: I think it still works.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Right sample pack or something, I think it still works.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: And I also have a chocolate caramel that I'm dying to get my hands on, but we have that the full pack of coconut milk vibes, just perfect vibes.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: I also just got back from New York and had the most spectacular Christmas-filled weekend.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: We did all the things we were there for one of our best friends' birthday party.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: I connected with some amazing people, uh, met some new friends through her that were also just incredible.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: I just had a really wholesome weekend.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: My favorite thing is like Christmas time and Christmas shops of the holidays.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Like, by the hotel was amazing.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: I got a massage, I added some CBD oil to it.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: It was just, it was what a time to be alive.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: It's also my birthday month.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: I think this is a Sag thing, but like we love our birthdays.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: At least every December Sag I know loves their birthday.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: So you know what I should do?
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: I should do like a wrap-up episode of like maybe like things this year taught me, or like I don't know, like taught lessons or something like that.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna write this down before I forget.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: I love being just like candid with you guys on these episodes.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Uh so that alright, I was also going to do like a how-to like quantum leave and set 2023 off.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Kind of beautiful.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Well, stay tuned for those episodes.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Let's get into this one.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: So, the top supplements you need to take and why.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Let's start off with a very important one, B12.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: And if you're not following me on Instagram yet, I highly recommend going over and following me on there because I'm gonna share like a little reel with like the the labels um of the brands that are like, so you can kind of just go save that.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: But B12, B vitamins specifically are essential for your body to function properly.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: That's because B vitamins are responsible for what is called methylation.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And methylation is your body's biochemical superhighway, it is responsible for helping your body detox, for reducing inflammation, and in turn to avoid a lot of brain hormone and autoimmune inflammation problems.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: So they are the fuel behind this process.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: They also help your body break down protein, fat, and carbs into the food you eat to produce energy.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: So you can think about if you didn't have these or enough of these, what's going to happen, right?
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: So methylation is this biochemical process that controls your ability to detox and in turn lowers inflammation, produces necessary neurotransmitters, and protects your DNA.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Every cell of your body depends on methylation.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: So it's easy to see why if methylation is not functioning optimally, you are bound to have issues.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: In fact, everything from hormonal imbalances, heart disease, autoimmune conditions, gut issues, mental health anxiety can be traced back.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Did I say hormones?
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I did, to problems with methylation.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: So these are some things you need to be aware of if you're like, oh, Liv, this could be me.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Constantly feeling tired, this is all for P12, uh, and B vitamins, muscle aches and weakness, joint pain, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, feeling dizzy, poor memory, inability to concentrate well, mood changes, things like depression, anxiety, um, heart palpitations, poor dental health, including bleeding gums, digestive problems, including bloating, um, constipation diarrhea, as well as poor appetite.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: So, like we know, this is an essential nutrient.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: B12 is essential for mood, energy, memory, heart, skin, hair, digestion, and more.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm actually gonna even star what I said previously when I was talking about methylation as a biochemical process, like star that because that is important, because that's what rules all of this is the methylation.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: It's also an essential vitamin for addressing adrenal fatigue, improving, improving pernicious anemia and metablastic anemia, as well as DNA synthesis and hormone balance, and maintaining a healthy nervous system.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Your nervous system will not function properly if you don't have enough B12.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Not to mention, if you're not eating lots of red not lots of red meat, you may not be getting enough B12.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: You may not be absorbing it if you've got gut issues, so that's the thing, you might be getting it in a form that your body can't absorb well, and then you're maybe eating it, but you're not absorbing it.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: And you don't want to feel run down.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: So B vitamins, especially B12, are one of the best things also for mood, like we said, because of these neurotransmitters.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: So they are needed for the healthy, happy production of neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and gabby.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: That would love and create anxiety and depression.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Because B vitamins are the fuel behind methylation, which remember is the biochemical process that rules like hormonal imbalances, inflammation, all that kind of stuff.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: That chemical process happens more than one billion times every single second your and like your body's alive.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: One billion times every single second, and you don't have the stuff that's allowing you to do that, eh?
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: That's gonna cause a lot of problems.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: It helps keep you alive.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: There's so many different types of B vitamins, and it's important to get a good, well-rounded type of each.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: But specifically, B12, and then I would say a runner-up B6, but I really want to focus on on B12.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: Remember that B12 also helps with digestion because it helps with digestive enzyme production.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: If you do not have enough digestive enzymes, you might get things like bloating, indigestion, pain.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: It also helps with a healthy metabolism and the breakdown of foods within the stomach.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: So one other way that B12 benefits digestion is the fact that it helps to foster healthy bacteria within the gut.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: So not only does it increase digestive enzyme production, but it helps to foster healthy gut bacteria and the elimination of harmful bacteria in the digestive tract.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: So while simultaneously the presence of beneficial bacteria helps, it decreases harmful bacteria, which then prevents disorder, um, digestive disorders like IAVD, IBS, Candida, all of this stuff.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Now, you need a methylated form of B12, hence for helping methylation.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: My favorite by far is the symbiotica B12, liposomal.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: Liposomal means you will absorb it so much better.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: And I know what you're thinking.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: Yes, liposomal is more expensive, but B12, let me know, is one of the key nutrients.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: So if you're gonna get something and actually invest in your supplements, I'd rather you take a methylated B12 than take five things of shitty quality.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Because it's actually gonna do what it needs.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Now, the reason why I love it, not only have I purchased it every month for the past year myself, not even sponsored, nothing forever.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Not that like that's wrong, but like I've you know, I would continue to purchase it.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: I have clinically seen in blood work the effects that this B12 has that I have not seen from necessarily previous ones that I've used in the past, or it's been a lot harder.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: This one actually gets absorbed, and I've seen it in blood work, both personally and with clients.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: So I love it, it's absorbed easily, wonderful quality, wonderful ingredients, perfect form, perfect dosage.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: The next one I would say with the runner-up would be a B complex of methylated B vitamins, especially if you have methylation impairments like the MTHFRG mutation, which I do.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: So you want to look for activated B vitamins, which would look like B9L methylfolate, which is L5 MTHF, or you can get the methylated B6, which is 5 um P5P or peroxidal 5 phosphate, and then obviously we have a methyl B12.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: So if you cannot, what I like about the Symbiotica B12 is that it's B12 and a couple of the other B vitamins, so it's like perfect, locked and loaded.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: I will say also if you bundle with Symbiotica, you can save like either 20% or 30%, depending on how much you bundle.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: So like I just bundle all of mine together and end up saving 30%.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: And I know they also for students have like some special student discount thing.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Like they that's what I mean, guys.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: So they're a really great company.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: I also love the founder as well.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the student is because I'm not a student, but I've seen that if you're a student or something, there's some special like deal to help like they actually want to help you get proper nutrients and proper supplements and everything.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: So look into that.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: That is B12.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Can I take a sip of my elixir, guys?
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: It's so good.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: Remember, full back coconut milk, electrolyte, actually.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: We're gonna get into electrolyte, so I'll save my life when I talk for that.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Alright, now magnesium would be my number two.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: The top five, I think, are vaguely in order, but I'll let you know if I accidentally miss them out of order.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: So magnesium would be my number two.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Oh maybe even number one.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: One or two for sure.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Now there are different types of magnesium, which we are going to go over different types for different things.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Magnesium is a crucial mineral needed for over 300 essential biochemical reactions in the body, including the regulation of neurotransmitters.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: So up to 80% of the population is deficient in this nutrient.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: You also use a lot more magnesium when you're busy and stressed.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: What is unfortunately most of the, at least North America, busy and stressed.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: So you're using a lot more magnesium and you're not getting enough.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: No bueno.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: Magnesium deficiency is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies for the population, and it's been consistently linked to increased risks of depression and anxiety.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: This is because magnesium works in the brain to calm down the excitatory NMDA receptor that, when left unchecked, leads to depression and anxiety.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: So, magnesium is super important.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: We're gonna go through all the different forms to find out which one might be best for you.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: I take all of these forms at different points.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and I'll let you know which ones I take daily, which ones I kind of have on hand that you might for you might make sense to take more daily or to have on hand.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: So, number one is magnesium bisglycinate, one of the most popular forms, okay?
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Magnesium glycinate, aka magnesium bisglycinate.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: It's a combination of magnesium and the amino acid glycine.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: And this organic chile complex is gentle in the stomach and has a really good bioavailability.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: Now, glycine, very wonderful.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Glycine is common.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Gloss glossine.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Glycine is linked to deep and resurveyed sleep, and research has shown that it helps promote a steady state of relaxation.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: So think about steady state of relaxation.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Yes?
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: So magnesium glycinate supplementation really helps sleep quality, helps decrease stress, helps you relax, and helps with sleep.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: This means this form of magnesium is great for a restful night's sleep if that is what you are after.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: If you experience anxiety or insomnia, this is the best form of magnesium for you.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: In this form, when magnesium is combined with the glycine, that great calming amino acid, it has a calming effect on the body and the brain, and also helps promote a healthy circadian rhythm.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: Remember, really good absorption rate of this kind of magnesium.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: It's good for like a daily supplement choice.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: And it's important to note that this one does not have a laxative effect.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: So some magnesiums can make you have loose stools or can actually help with bowel movements if you run more constipated.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: But this one is actually a good choice for people who maybe already have regular or already loose stool.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Um, if you have anxiety and deal with constipation, you can take a combo of magnesium citrate and magnesium glycinate, which we're gonna get into in a second.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: But magnesium glycinate will not independently have bowel effects or like a laxative effect.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: So magnesium glycinate.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Really great.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: The one I like of this, I mean, it depends where you live.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, we have like Canadian versions and obviously US, so depending on where you live, I recommend different ones.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: NFH, I really like.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Um, AOR, I really like AOR, I believe it's available in both Canada and the US, so let's go with AOR because everyone can get that one.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: Magnesium glycinate is amazing.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Next up, magnesium citrate.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: So, along with magnesium glycinate, citrate is one of the most popular forms of magnesium.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: This is one of the most bioavailable magnesium supplements, and it's commonly used to address like low levels of magnesium.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: This one is most known for its laxative effect, and it is combined by combining salt and citric acid to form almost like a saline type solution.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: And what this does is it draws water into your bowel, which loosens your stool so it's easier to pass.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: This is why it's the perfect form for those struggling with constipation.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: So if you are not having a couple bowel movements a day, this type of magnesium citrate would be a good choice for you.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: It's also really great to have on hand.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: So this is something that I have on hand of like, I don't know, one day you don't need enough fiber, or one thing, something happening, right?
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: You just you need a little bit of natural support to like make sure magnesium's working.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: So I like to have natural calm on hand.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: That's the brand I use.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: It's the powder.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I like to do the unflavored one.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: You can put it in your hot cocoa vibes, you can just drink it in water.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Very good for bowel movements and helping that along.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Of course, we want to get to the root of like why you're being constipated all the time, but this can actually really help while you're kind of clearing out maybe the root causes of that constipation.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: So, natural palm for the magnesium citrate.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: Next up, we have magnesium L3N8, one of my faves, been taking it daily for years.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: This is one that I really rely on.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: I don't, I only use a citrate again when I need it for bowel movement stuff.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: The bisclistinate, maybe I use two, three times a week.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Again, it depends on your stress levels, it kind of depends on you.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: But magnesium L3N8, perfect for your brain, so it balances mood and calms the central nervous system.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: And you guys know there's nothing more I love than relaxing your nervous system.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: It's the best.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: This one also will boost brain power and improve memory, and that's because this increases brain magnesium levels much higher than any other form of magnesium.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: So magnesium L3NA is good for brain, memory, thinking, cognition, while also calming the nervous system.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: So it's not going to ramp you up like a caffeine or anything, but it will boost brain power, which is nice.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: So I like to take it in the afternoons, kind of with like a little bit to have a little bit of a boost, and I like that it also calms the nervous system at the same time.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Because anything I can do to calm the nervous system is what we are going to do.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: If your life, maybe I should make this a quote.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: It's like, let me think about this because this will be a good quote.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: Your life is ruled by how calm your nervous system is.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: Star, double underline.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna have my assistant make that into a quote for me because that is your life is ruled by how calm your nervous system is.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna post that in my stories today.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Let me write that down.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, I think my DNA is um.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Moving on.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: We have two more types of magnesium.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: However, these are my top three magnesiums.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna mention like my the fourth one and the fifth one just for you to have for like your mental note, but I focus on these three the most.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Number four would be magnesium malate.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is a good choice for fatigue since malic acid, a natural fruit acid present in most cells in the body, is a vital component of the enzymes that play a key role in ETP synthesis and energy production.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: So, since the ionic bonds of magnesium and malic acid are easily broken, magnesium malate is also highly soluble.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Now, this is not my first choice for things like fatigue.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: However, I would probably go for magnesium bisglycinate that relaxes you, that will then help the fatigue.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: Because some so often people are chronically fatigued because their nervous system isn't relaxed and they're riding like riding in flight or flight and they've had too much caffeine.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: So I would more go after uh magnesium bisglycinate, but again, magnesium myelate would be like a number four.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: And then we have magnesium chloride.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: So if you are struggling with gut issues like poor absorption or leaky gut, magnesium chloride might be a better option for you, and this is because this form is easily absorbed because it's water soluble.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: So the ancient minerals, magnesium flakes, would be really good for this.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: You absorb it again because you can do a bath or a foot soak.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: It can also really help with any kind of muscle tightness and leg cramps.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, hi Kashi.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Hi, boo-boo! Sorry, she just got home from being away with a copy of your new York.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Hi yo, sweetie.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Hi, baby.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, going back to what we were saying.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Uh oh, don't no, I know, sweetie.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Let me finish the podcast and we'll say hello.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: So, magnesium chloride, like we said, can help with leaky gut and also with muscle cramps, and that's the one you're gonna be taking if you are soaking in a tub or anything like that, um, because it's water soluble, and again, if you need to relax your muscles.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, moving on to number three.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: Vitamin D with K2.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm not separating these because you need to take these together, so no separation.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Vitamin D.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Honestly, one of the top three essential things for your health.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: It's few other things that can hold the candles of vitamin D, but B12 magnesium would be it, like B12, magnesium, and vitamin D would be like my top three to influence your overall health.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: Not only your immune health, your mental health, your thyroid hormones.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, this vitamin is the one of the only other things, other than the two we've already talked about, where every single cell of your body needs it in order to function properly.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: So, B12, magnesium, vitamin D, your body uses them all in pretty much every cell.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: So I just wanted to pop in here because I am so excited to be doing the Live Miss Advent Calendar.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: If you are a big fan of Christmas like I am, you are gonna love it because we have brand new offers that are only going to be available within the advent calendar vibes.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: And there's gonna be so much value.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: So there is well over$3,500 worth of value inside.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: And if you get the whole calendar before we start on December 17th, then you get the whole calendar for just 888.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: And trust me, like I said, there's tons of value, you get everything inside, which is like your all access path.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: It's stuff that had never been done before, and there is an element for every part of your body, so stuff for your physical body, your mental body, emotional body, spiritual body.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: We cover everything from health, well, there's everything in the admin calendar for you.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: So there's a little bit of everything, and there is some one-on-one components of it, which is amazing, especially at this price point.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: So, with that being said, if you want to go ahead and grab the calendar before December 17th, grab the full thing, you can do that below, or you can just buy a single day as they are released.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: I am so excited.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: This is gonna be so much fun.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: I can't wait.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: See you.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: So, number one, mental health things like depression and anxiety.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Especially when it's getting colder, especially when there's less sunlight, low vitamin D are linked to higher rates of depression and also higher rates of anxiety.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: It helps not only is it fat-soluble vitamins, you want to be taking it with meals, but we're getting less of it because of the winter blues or you know, whatever you want to call it.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: There's less sunlight, you're not getting as much vitamin D from the sun, you need to be supplementing with it.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Pretty much everyone does.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Get a vitamin D status from like your Nash bath or whatever if you want to check your vitamin D levels.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: But again, vitamin D is pretty much essential.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Vitamin D is also an integral part of your immune system.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: It is no surprise.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Low levels of vitamin D are associated with immune conditions.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Not only an increased risk of getting certain viruses, wink wink, but also autoimmune conditions like IBS, IBD, Hashimoto's, rheumatoid arthritis, all of these things.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Not only can it help prevent that, but it's also linked to symptom improvement.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: It's also really good for your lungs.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: So you are less likely to develop asthma, especially if you are.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: That's why you know you give it to babies.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: You may see those commercials with like the vitamin D drops, and you give it to like their gums.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: That's why it's given to babies because they're at 40% reduced risk of developing asthma if you give them vitamin D.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: But it also has a protective effect against upper respiratory infections in adults.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Take your vitamin D.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: More vitamin D benefits.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: I'm just I think there's a lot more, but I want you to get a really good sense of like why it's so important.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Strengthens your bones.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Vitamin D prevents the breakdown of bone and increases the strength of the skeletal system.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: Strong bones can help prevent disease and fragility later in life.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Beautiful.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Boosts brain power.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: It is essential for a healthy brain.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Low levels of vitamin D are linked to decreased memory and increased rates of neurological conditions like Alzheimer's, but also can be things like brain fog.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: It's also really good for cancer.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: People who have optimal vitamin D levels have lower risk of breast prostate colon, ovarian, and pancreatic cancer.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: There's also some evidence, I'm gonna say some evidence, star, that this vitamin can also both kill cancer cells and impede their growth by up to 50%.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: But again, at least take it so that you have lower levels of risk for it.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Fertility! Vitamin D increases the health of sperm and increases healthy pregnancy.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: So, for you, for your partner, both of you should be having vitamin D.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: It also protects your heart.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: Think about heart attacks and stroke.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: I mean you can see just how good vitamin D is.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: It also calms inflammation, alright?
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: There's a common link between the most chronic health problems and vitamin D, as it is essential in your body's capability to squelch the inflammatory storm.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: So anything that's inflammatory, if you think PCOS, that's an inflammatory condition, acne, that's an inflammatory condition, IBS, inflammatory condition, migraines, inflammatory condition, arthritis, inflammatory condition.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: We're getting the trend here.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Not only that, vitamin D revs up metabolism.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Not that that should be your only motivation, but hey, we're gonna include all the benefits.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: So supplementing with vitamin D for 12 grease, 12 weeks, 12 weeks, decreased body fat by 7%.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Low levels are also linked to metabolic syndrome, which is a precursor to diabetes, which we don't want.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: Last couple of benefits I want to mention when it comes to vitamin D is that it enhances your physical performance.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: So supplementing with this vitamin boosts muscle strength and physical performance.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Vitamin D has also been shown in some studies to increase balance.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: So like your ability to literally balance.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Think of one leg, I don't know, when doing yoga, it's really good for that.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: And lastly, improves sleep.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: So adequate vitamin D levels are associated with better quality sleep.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: Now, the K2 part of it, K2, what kind of like magnesium, it's one of the most common nutrient deficiencies in the Western diet, but it's also essential in controlling inflammation.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: Now, vitamin K is less like prevalent than like things like magnesium in our diet.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: So we want to be taking vitamin K with vitamin D.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Most of them, although there's a lot of them that are formulated together, so have that one.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Vitamin K is also fat-soluble, you want to be taking it with food.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: Now, not only does vitamin K2 inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines, but it also has a role in cancer protection and sexual health.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: So because it lowers inflammation by inhibiting those pro-inflammatory ions, it also is going to be helpful in modulating your immune system response.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Also helpful in bone health, especially taking them with vitamin D, it also prevents heart disease.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: So, like I said, a lot of the vitamin Ds are now being formulated with vitamin K2, which is amazing.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: My favorite one is the symbiotica vitamin D with K2, but I also take the Genestra vitamin D separately and the Ken Prev K2, because I do have a bunch of vitamin D from Genestra that I'm using up, so I will also like buy them separately and take them.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: But the symbiotica one that has them both together is also really good, or you can take them separately, like I said, and get um just high quality ones.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: But again, just make sure you take it with a meal that contains fat.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, all meals should contain fat, and something with just like avocado, coconut oil, salmon, something like that.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: Just make sure you're taking it with that.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Alright, take a sip.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: It's also getting warm.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: I put on a sweater because it was probably because I'm talking.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Alright, moving on.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Omega threes.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Number, I think we're on four.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: One, two, three, yeah, four.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: So your brain is 60% fat, making fat essential for a healthy brain.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: Omega-3 fish oil specifically, packed with healthy fats to nourish your brain.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: You need at least two grams a day, closer to three grams.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: Unless you're eating a full serving of salmon every day, you're probably not getting enough from food.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Chia seeds, if you're a vegan, also have it, have hearts also have it, you would need like five tablespoons, five full tablespoons of chia seeds per day to get enough.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: So just when we do like a little sprinkle, I see people do a little sprinkle of like chia seeds, that's not gonna be enough, a little sprinkle on your toast to get your daily recommended dose, which is why it can be good to have omega-3s on hand, or make sure you get enough and like count out like all your fish, or like, or have fish some days and then take your omega-3s on other days.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: But either way, you need it.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, so fish oil contains two essential omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: These are extremely anti-inflammatory, especially when taken together.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: So not only have these fatty acids been shown to inhibit the pro-inflammatory NFKB pathway, they can actually enhance anti-inflammatory mediators known as resolvins in the body.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: So think about any inflammatory condition, again, arthritis, IBS, IVD, PCOS, acne, eczema, psoriasis, joint pain, as of that like all things, right?
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: Most people do not get enough of these fatty acids, like we said, unless you're having five tablespoons of cheese seeds or a full piece of salmon every single day, you're not getting enough.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: Like we said, it's another one of my favorite PCOS supplements because it can attack it from different angles.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Omega-3 also helps to balance blood sugar levels, which we know works in driving down inflammation, which improves ovulation and other PCOS symptoms.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: So not only does it help with the like the inflammation part, but it also helps with the blood sugar part of PCOS.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: So, again, star double underline fish oil is essential.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: Not intentionally, but symbiotica.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: One of my faves, my other favorite if you want to take um actual pills, is the Dinestra brand.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: So those will be my top two recommendations for that.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: Just be careful when you buy them, especially what um amount is in each omega-3.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: I also like Nordic Naturals.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I'll give Nordic Naturals like a number three.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: So we have Symbiotica, which will be liposomal, which will be really great.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: And then I would say the Nordic Naturals or the Genestra brand.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: Now, I know Genestra, you'll be fine because the high enough dose per capsule, but I know especially depending on which one of the Nordic naturals you buy, make sure you actually are taking enough of it to hit like at least two, probably closer to three grams per day.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Um, some of them you would have to take like six to eight pills, which is like that's a lot.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: So make sure you're getting like pills that have enough per pill, essentially, which is why I like either liposomal or genestra or the high dose one from Nordic Naturals.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: I think it's called Ultimate Omega.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: Alright, next up, electrolytes.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: I heart borne or electrolytes all the time because it's so necessary.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: So many people do not have enough salt and do not have enough minerals in their body.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: You actually need five grams of sodium per day, like as a sweet spot for minimizing heart attack and stroke risk.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: Minimum.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: Five grams is a starting point.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: So if you eat a whole foods diet, like not if you want to be getting your sodium from like you know, processed crackers, but especially if you're eating lots of fruits and vegetables and everything like that that aren't naturally salty, you want to make sure that you're having enough salt.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: Not only that, when you're actually eating healthy and your insulin is low because we're not spiking it full of blood sugar with processed crap or oats or oat milk or anything like that, this makes your kidneys excrete sodium faster.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: So when you eliminate processed foods, which contribute to 70% of sodium intake for people, the salt shaker cannot sometimes be enough, especially to make up those losses.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: So think about the healthier you are, you actually want to supplement supplement with more salt to kind of mitigate that.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Which is why I love element.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: When people say element is so salty, I'm like, yeah, because it's actually doing what it's supposed to do.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: It's not like some Gatorade bullshit, it's not bullshit.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: What are the other ones?
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: I want to say Ultima, I think is another electrolyte.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: There's just not enough, it's not actually doing something for you.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: Element has actually clinically proven supported studies of like the amount of sodium you need.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: Because if you're to put that much sodium, I mean you could as long as you're measuring that amount of salt.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: Element just obviously tastes better because it's not just pure salt, unless you get the unflavored one.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: But that's why it's so salty because you actually need that much sodium for your body.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: Not to mention that, one of the major things your body runs on is a sodium potassium ATP pump.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: ATP is what makes your energy.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: So many people, they're having like headaches, low energy, um, cravings and all of this because they're not actually having enough salt, which means your sodium ATP pump can't properly function.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: So, this is your sign to get some electrolytes.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: I think, like I said earlier in this episode, I think my link is still working, so we're gonna leave that down below.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: Uh, you think you get a free sample pack?
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: You can also, yeah, you get a free sample pack within, anyways.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: We'll leave it down below.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: Ride or die.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: I use element for years, and then they were sponsored me on YouTube, and then now, like I've continued to purchase them after my sponsorship was done with them on YouTube.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: Um, fingers crossed, we're gonna be able to get another one.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: So fingers crossed, but either way, love element, ride or die.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: I every single day, doesn't matter where I travel, I have a bunch of my purse, I carry with them everywhere.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: I've already been through one and a half packets already today.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: So alright, the next one I'm going to recommend.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Let me just take a sip of my little elixir that has mint chocolate on it.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: It's grass-fed beef liver.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: Now you can eat beef liver.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: It's a lot to cook.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: I know you can soak it in milk, it apparently makes it taste better.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: It's a lot easier to just take your liver in a capsule, especially because finding grass-fed beef liver is important.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: You can't just have regular beef liver, then you're just eating concentrated toxins because your liver is what detoxes things.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: So if you are eating liver from an animal who's fed shitty things, you are now getting the concentrated shitty things of that animal in your body.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: It's like bone broth.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: If you're not making it with organic chicken bones, you shouldn't be making it.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: Or if you're not buying organic bone broth, you should not.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: It's all the toxins concentrated, right?
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: So, liver is very helpful in optimizing the body's metabolic functions.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: Obviously, liver detoxication helps that, and also in supporting a healthy immune system.
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: So, beef liver is a clean source of this.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: Think about when you take like the liver or eat the liver or something, it helps your liver, right?
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: So that's how I kind of want you to think about it.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Organ meats are loaded with B vitamins as well.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: So we already talked kind of like about B vitamins when it comes to metabolism, when it comes to energy as ATP.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Beef liver is also really good for your adrenals, so it's really gonna help to nourish them as well as being like loaded with B vitamins.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Now, I will take this as well as my B12, kind of like that combo met symbiotic one, which is mainly B12 and a couple other B vitamins, just to make sure that like I have enough.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: But mainly I use this also for the other benefits I'm gonna get into in a second.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: So, beef liver also contains retinol, which is the active form of vitamin A, which helps with skin.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: So, beef liver is really good for acne, hormonal imbalances, chronic inflammation, poor gut health.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: Vitamin A is fat soluble.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, so it's really gonna help with all of this.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: And like we said, with skin, not only does it help with all of that, but it also helps to heal the skin faster.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: It regulates the shedding process of the skin, which makes you glow, and it's an antioxidant, hence, it protects the skin against free radicals.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: Not to mention it reduces inflammation, making your skin look smooth and nourished.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Beef liver is also a great source of iron.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: So, among all the other minerals, beef liver combines iron, folate, B12, like we already talked about.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: It's a really good source of iron.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Really, really good.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: So, iron supplementation is also like often recommended in menstruating females, but especially vegans and vegetarians.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you wouldn't be taking this if you're vegan because you don't want to take beef liver, you're gonna have to go with like a plant-based one, but it's a really highly absorbable form of iron, which is great.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: It's also high in copper and glycine.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: As you know, glycine is calming, but copper is really good for collagen levels in your skin.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: It also helps to strengthen bones.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: Beef liver supplements are rich in vitamin K2, so which really will help that kind of calcium balance in your body, which is great for bones.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: And again, we know because we're taking liver, it's really going to support detoxification, which is a thing that removes all the toxic chemicals, substances, hormones we don't need, and all of that.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: And it does this by carrying out the use of a mineral called molybendum.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Now you don't need to remember this, just know that this mineral acts as a coenzyme in the conversion of sulfates from sulfites in the metabolism of drugs and alcohol.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Hence, especially if you're drinking, beef liver can be something that you take, even though I don't drink.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: Again, it's just loaded with so many antioxidants.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: It's also rich in vitamin coQ1.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: So because they are rich in co-10, coQ1 is primarily found in the mitochondria.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: Mitochondria are your little energy powered houses of your cell.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: You might remember that from like science class.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Again, not only is this gonna help with energy levels in your adrenals, but it's also gonna improve sperm and egg quality, it lowers inflammation, it helps endurance, especially with like physical activity, it's helping with aging, it's helping with a whole host of things.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: So, as you can see, it's one of the best kind of things to take.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: I love the ancestral nutrition brand.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: Again, you need to be getting a grass that if it's cheap, it's probably not going to do well again.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: So I'd rather you, if you're not gonna be taking this, like don't buy a cheap version of this, only buy it if you can get a good quality one.
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: I like the ancestral nutrition one.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: Um, probably find it maybe on sale somewhere, but again, either get it good quality or don't.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: You don't want to get like some$20 beef liver that is not gonna be high quality because then you're just taking concentrated um concentrated toxins.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: Also, look at the ingredients of the omega-3s.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: The reason I just reminded me I recommended those brands of omega-3s is because I've seen a lot of trendy omega-3 brands that people buy that actually have canola oil in them, which is highly inflammatory.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: So, in your anti-inflammatory supplement, the main carrier oil they're using is actually inflammatory, which is also why it's cheap and why it's not gonna do you any good.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: So, this is why quality is super important.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: Alright, the next supplement I'm going to talk about is the array bloat capsules.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: By far my favorite digestive supplement.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: I have purchased this for years.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: They've sent me a couple bottles over the years, but I've also purchased it time and time again.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: On Black Friday, I ordered, I want to say three bottles to have on hand because it was like 25% off just to have it, you know, all year.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: I only use this when I'm going out or like when I'm eating food that's more decadent.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: So, like eating out, well, at home I don't really use it.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: Um, it's only for eating out.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: But if you have any digestive issues, this can actually help your gut heal.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: I use this a lot when my gut was healing, and I was reacting to innocuous foods like you know, broccoli and you know, cauliflower and not too interesting, cruciferous, like raspberries, like when my gut was really leaky, my nervous system was jacked.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: This can help a little bit while you're doing the emotional work.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: So, like I said, all natural, it's clinically tested, it works in under an hour to soothe abdominal, the like discomfort, bloating, and optimize digestion.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: And it does this by speeding up food breakdown and eliminating excess gas buildup.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: So, it's also really good for IBS, and I like that it contains all herbal ingredients.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: It has bromaline for speeding food breakdown, it has ginger root for digestion, it has lemon balm for gas prevention, dandelion root, which helps your liver, peppermint, really good for digestion and gas prevention because it's anti-spasmodic, and slippery elm, which really kind of soothes the gut.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: So, one of my top ones, I always have this on hand.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: I have for years.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: It's like something like if I'm going out, I'm gonna take this because it's just gonna help support your gut.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: But if you're struggling with your gut health, this can also be something you can kind of add in as you're getting to the root cause of the problem.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: So, this is a great natural band-aid solution to the problem.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: You also want to get down, okay, why are you having trouble breaking down food?
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Why are you having trouble?
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Like, why are you prepared, like why are you generating so much gas?
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: Why are you doing all these things, right?
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: So that's what I'll say about that.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: All right, next up, my next one I'm going to mention is NED CBD.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Now I'm already mentioning the brand because I would not do any other CBD but NED.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: So CBD is wonders for anxiety because without actually the need for the psychoactive compound THC in order to work with anxiety.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: So CBD increases the prefrontal cortex, which is in front of your brain activation, and lowers activity in the amygdala, which are two areas of the brain that are involved in anxiety.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: It also helps your brain generate new neurons through the hippocampus to restore balance to GABA and glutamate levels that can contribute to anxiety.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: So highly recommend CBD, but only the NED one, because that's the only one I know of that has really good sourcing.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: It's sourced by like a really great farmer.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: You can follow the sourcing, it uses high-quality CBD plants.
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: Don't just get anything because it's trendy.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: Like, you really need to do the research on like where are they sourcing it from, who's sourcing it, like what parts of the plant are they using.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: Like, it's very, very important.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: Luckily, I did all that work for you, and that CBD is the way to go.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: So it will interact with your system mainly by inhibiting the breakdown of an amide.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: So, by doing this, it's useful for anxiety, sleep, I mean hormonal regulation, inflammation, all that stuff.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: Especially anxiety, especially sleep, but also all those other things as well.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: Also, know that because it has that anxiolytic effect, it works with interacting in your brain, like those areas of the brain that we talked about, anxiolytic effects, by suppressing, not suppressing in like a bad way, but just helping to regulate your brain's fear centers as well.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: So, thumbs up for that.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Alright, the next one I want to get into.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: I think I only have two more.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: I have two more.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Liposomal vitamin C, which would be number nine then.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: Um, liposomal vitamin C really good for supporting aging, boosting collagen production, and helping support a healthy immune system.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: It is a key antioxidant that plays a role in immune system function.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: You want to be getting liposomal.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: If you're just taking vitamin C chewable or tab, honestly, I'd rather you save your money and just like get a few of these than to get mediocre amounts of like shittier vitamins.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: Again, liposomal a lot more easily absorbable.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: It provides more absorption, higher level dosing, and you may not even need it as much.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, I take it every day, especially in the winter.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, sometimes I forget a day, but I take it almost every day.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: But you can also, I'd rather you take like liposomal vitamin C a couple times a week than take non-liposomal every single day.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: So it's actually so efficient.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: It's close to the intravenous delivery, which is like an IV delivery vitamin C.
- 43:26SPEAKER_00: So liposomal.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: Again, symbiotica, my fave ride or die.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: You can bundle this with like the B12 and maybe either the magnesium or the sleep.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: Oh actually, no, I do like the sleep one, but I'm not mentioning it in this one because not everyone needs that one.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: Um, you can bundle it with like the magnesium and the B12.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: We got three products, and I believe three products because I see 30% off.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: Again, not sponsored, bought it all myself, but I'm just remembering kind of in there how you can get um discounts on their products.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: So, vitamin C, aging, collagen, amuseism.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: And then the last one I want to say is iron.
- 43:59SPEAKER_00: So, especially for menstruating women, iron is responsible for producing hemoglobin in our blood.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: Hemoglobin's main job is to transport oxygen to our cells, without which oxygen, well, we can't all have oxygen, we don't function.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: So, some of the symptoms, if you are deficient in iron, can be fatigue, low sex drive, lack of appetite, difficulty concentrating, pale skin, dark circles under your eyes, being constantly cold, brittle hair or fingernails, shortness of breath.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: Iron is lost through sweat, urine, and menstruation.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: So if also you're having really heavy cycles and periods, you might be losing too much iron, and you also lose iron like every month, or you should be if you're having a regular cycle, losing iron every month.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: So you really want to keep on top of your iron levels.
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: Even with eating like red meat two to three times per week, you may not even be getting enough iron.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: So just take a note of that.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: Now, iron deficiency is not the same as anemia.
- 44:52SPEAKER_00: You can be deficient in iron without being anemic.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: Anemic is when your iron levels drop so low that it affects your hemoglobin production.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: So an earlier symptom of low iron is low ferritin levels in your blood.
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: So determine to determine if you are deficient, you can look at iron in two different ways.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Serum iron, which measures the levels of iron currently circulating in your body, or ferritin, which looks at the long-term iron storage in your body.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: While we don't want like ferritin levels to be too high, this is actually correlated with increased inflammation.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: So you don't want it to be low either.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: So just know it's possible to be deficient in iron without being anemic because it's an earlier sign.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: It's also possible to be deficient in iron while still being in the range of what the standard lab work considers normal.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: So you actually might still need to work with a narrower range to determine if you are deficient.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: So I'm just gonna star that for you.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: So, in terms of my top iron recommendations, Feramax would be number one, and then PK's Blood Bank, which is my personal favorite.
- 45:53SPEAKER_00: I love it, but you can only get it in states.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: So, especially for my Canadians, I always talk about Feramax, but PK's Blood Bank is actually an herbal tincture which is formed by um Gwyneth Paltrow's herbalist.
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: He's amazing.
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: PK is a brand, P-E-E-K-A-Y.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: And it has a lot of great herbs in it that are good for building your blood kind of up.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: That's why it's called a blood bank.
- 46:16SPEAKER_00: It's kind of gonna replenish those blood levels and blood counts.
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: And it's also good for vegans and vegetarians.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: It's also what I was saying.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: Um that's what I was looking for.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: I was like, there's something I was gonna say about this.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: Um, if you're vegan and vegetarian, um, this is also a great one for you because it is not a um what's called an animal-based product.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: So, with that being said, those are the top supplements I would recommend slash ride or dies, ones that are important, ones that you might need.
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: If you have any questions, let me know.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: But I hope this was super informative for you.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: I hope you learn vlogs.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: And again, if you feel like you're taking a bunch of things, but your health is still shady, it's probably the emotional work that we need to work on.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: It's probably the emotional side.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: These things can all help, but if you feel like you're still struggling, that is a sign for you to do the emotional work, uh, and that's what glow level one is for.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: So I will leave it there.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: Like I said, any questions?
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: Let me know, and I will see you guys in the next episode.
