- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: What's up, everybody?
- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to move the sticks, DJ, Bucky Rhett, with you, Buck.
- 0:11Speaker 1: We missed you yesterday. I took care of the little
- 0:15Speaker 1: dig at HT for Indiana getting their doors blown off.
- 0:17Speaker 1: But feel free. The floor is yours. If you'd like
- 0:19Speaker 1: to chime in on that.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Smallest margin of victory of any of the games, just
- 0:22Speaker 3: let's just keep that in mind.
- 0:23Speaker 4: That's right, No, no, no, no, digs. I think I
- 0:28Speaker 4: learned a lot watching the college football playoffs in terms
- 0:30Speaker 4: of team building. One Jims and Joe's dwarfed X's and O's.
- 0:35Speaker 4: All the teams dead advance had more, had better personnel.
- 0:39Speaker 4: The other thing when you're looking at teams, and I'll
- 0:43Speaker 4: say this using Notre Dame in Indiana, to me, it
- 0:45Speaker 4: was very apparent body types like Notre Dame looked like
- 0:49Speaker 4: a heavyweight team. Indiana didn't. And I think physically, when
- 0:54Speaker 4: we talked about ideals in the scouting process, their prototypes
- 0:57Speaker 4: that you look for, Notre Dame looked like the prototypical team.
- 1:01Speaker 4: But that also came from the lessons that they learned.
- 1:04Speaker 4: One getting up by Alabama in twenty twelve, losing multiple
- 1:08Speaker 4: times in the college foot would be sit whatever it was.
- 1:10Speaker 4: When they lost to Clemson and some other teams, they
- 1:14Speaker 4: had to go through the process to figure out how
- 1:16Speaker 4: to build their team to play with those teams. And
- 1:19Speaker 4: so I think it's been a program that's learned a
- 1:22Speaker 4: lot of lessons that is putting them in a position
- 1:24Speaker 4: to do it. For Indiana, this loss will help them
- 1:27Speaker 4: figure out how we need to be built to be
- 1:30Speaker 4: able to compete with those teams. Just like SMU learn
- 1:33Speaker 4: dealing with Penn State. It's just a different level when
- 1:36Speaker 4: you get to those elite teams, those top ten teams,
- 1:39Speaker 4: how your team has to be constructed.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I got a couple thoughts on that too. Can I
- 1:44Speaker 1: give you my essays here real quick? The playoff breakdown, size, speed, stars,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and stadium. That was the whole That was the whole thing,
- 1:53Speaker 1: And well I'm looking at it going like the thing.
- 1:55Speaker 1: That's kind of a bummer as we're getting ready to
- 1:56Speaker 1: go to the draft season. I'm like, man, the two
- 1:58Speaker 1: best players that I saw over the entire weekend was
- 2:01Speaker 1: the running back from from from Notre Dame who's not
- 2:04Speaker 1: draft eligible, and the receiver from Ohio State, who's not
- 2:06Speaker 1: draft eligible. But like, but I mean you had you
- 2:09Speaker 1: had Penn State, you know with with Abdul Carter star like,
- 2:12Speaker 1: you had these stars that can kind of take over games.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And let's not minimize the fact these teams are playing
- 2:17Speaker 1: at home. That's a major advantage. Man. So you've got size, speed,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you've got big time star players, and you're in a
- 2:23Speaker 1: home environment. That made that made a big difference in
- 2:25Speaker 1: those games.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Made a big difference. But I don't know how red
- 2:28Speaker 4: Field about it. I loved having those games on campus
- 2:31Speaker 4: to that was there, that is what it is supposed
- 2:36Speaker 4: to be. Like I could feel the energy on Friday night,
- 2:39Speaker 4: like watching it on TV that it kind of brings
- 2:42Speaker 4: that energy that man, I would love to be in
- 2:45Speaker 4: person to feel that. And then the white out that
- 2:47Speaker 4: Penn State had, All of those things kind of matter.
- 2:51Speaker 4: It'd be interesting to see how it plays out in
- 2:53Speaker 4: the Bowl game. But that first round, playing those games
- 2:56Speaker 4: on campus, to me, it was significant. And like you said, DJ,
- 2:59Speaker 4: the State Tiams certainly gave the home field that is
- 3:02Speaker 4: they needed.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Yeah, the and the only thing that I that I'll
- 3:05Speaker 3: say on this is one you're right on that I
- 3:07Speaker 3: think any team going into any road venue in the
- 3:11Speaker 3: first round of the playoffs is gonna have it's going
- 3:14Speaker 3: to be a challenge.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Okay, it was going to be a challenge.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And the second part is I think it's you know,
- 3:19Speaker 3: not just speaking from an Indiana perspective, but from SMU
- 3:22Speaker 3: and for for Clemson and and uh and for Tennessee, Like,
- 3:26Speaker 3: let's not talk about the merits of getting into the
- 3:28Speaker 3: playoff once the field is set, Like, let's not ruin
- 3:31Speaker 3: and cheapen the games and the team And if we
- 3:34Speaker 3: don't think that you can earn a rite in and
- 3:37Speaker 3: you've got to just look the best, Like that's what's
- 3:40Speaker 3: wrong with America today, okay, because we're putting people in
- 3:43Speaker 3: positions because they looked they no, no, no, no no. You got
- 3:45Speaker 3: to earn your right, okay, and you earn by winning
- 3:48Speaker 3: and by playing well. And let's not forget you know
- 3:51Speaker 3: that losses matter to Okay, otherwise you know we'd have Vanderbilt,
- 3:57Speaker 3: Kentucky and Oklahoma in the playoff.
- 3:59Speaker 1: You know, this is gonna leave me right in my
- 4:01Speaker 1: point here. But first of all, it's signed for the
- 4:02Speaker 1: lead block presented by Team Mobile for Business. Football needs
- 4:04Speaker 1: a network willing to go the extra yard, So do
- 4:06Speaker 1: you go further with team mobile for business Buck. The
- 4:09Speaker 1: only thing I would change, and we're talking about what
- 4:11Speaker 1: are we going to learn from this year to next year,
- 4:13Speaker 1: just in terms of the seating. You get your automatic
- 4:15Speaker 1: bids and then nothing's promised from the seating. So automatic
- 4:19Speaker 1: bids keep that one hundred percent. You win your conference,
- 4:22Speaker 1: You're in love that. But then once we get into
- 4:25Speaker 1: the field of twelve, then just stack them up one
- 4:27Speaker 1: through twelve. However, you have a rank, don't solved. That's it.
- 4:29Speaker 1: That's that to me, that's the only change that needs
- 4:31Speaker 1: to be made.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Well, I mean, if they would just follow the model
- 4:34Speaker 4: that the NCAA has done with March Maddness, that's kind
- 4:36Speaker 4: of how it operates. A you win your tournament in
- 4:39Speaker 4: the Horizon League, Yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 5: You're into the dans not getting a buy Yeah, you.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Know, you don't get a thing to me. And I'm
- 4:46Speaker 4: not saying this because I want to make sure I'm
- 4:48Speaker 4: being in respectful to both Boise and Arizona State. But
- 4:52Speaker 4: to lick at that line and see that Oregon's first
- 4:54Speaker 4: game is Ohio State, it just seems something there's something
- 4:58Speaker 4: wrong with that and I'm not saying it Ohio State
- 5:00Speaker 4: deserves to be like a higher seed or whatever.
- 5:02Speaker 2: It just it just feels.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Anybody's conference championship games, yeah, and trying to.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Get and I and I and I get that, and
- 5:11Speaker 4: I love that. And who knows, man, maybe Boise and
- 5:14Speaker 4: Arizona State advance to the next line and play much
- 5:16Speaker 4: better than anybody thought. But just in terms of like
- 5:19Speaker 4: looking at the bracket, those stand out just because we
- 5:22Speaker 4: saw that. But I'm like, well, Ohio State didn't win
- 5:25Speaker 4: their conference championship game. They didn't, I mean, they didn't
- 5:27Speaker 4: go to the conference championship game. So they are what
- 5:30Speaker 4: they are. But I will say this, and I am
- 5:32Speaker 4: tired like Lane Kiffin wade in the Alabama people waded
- 5:35Speaker 4: in And the only thing that I can say is
- 5:37Speaker 4: if you don't lose those games, then you go. It's
- 5:41Speaker 4: not about oh, you can play. You can lose two
- 5:44Speaker 4: games and still go to the playoffs. So it's not
- 5:46Speaker 4: that oh, you can you can't play hard teams. You
- 5:48Speaker 4: can take a cupcase schedule, but you can't lose these
- 5:52Speaker 4: the bad teams. You can't lose the bad teams and
- 5:55Speaker 4: still go. So I am tired of that and oh,
- 5:57Speaker 4: by the way, SEC, and I love the SEC. But
- 6:00Speaker 4: I saw Tennessee getting Molly beat Indiana.
- 6:06Speaker 2: It didn't even look close.
- 6:08Speaker 4: At some point, I was like, my god, I think
- 6:10Speaker 4: I'll put a sixty burger on Tennessee. And I never
- 6:13Speaker 4: thought that was going to happen going into.
- 6:17Speaker 1: No, I didn't either. To me. I don't know, I
- 6:21Speaker 1: just I don't really care for the whining when it's
- 6:23Speaker 1: all in your power to win and don't lose to
- 6:25Speaker 1: bad football teams. And it's like, look, okay, we're just
- 6:29Speaker 1: going to go with the eye test and who has
- 6:30Speaker 1: the most talent? Like that's not how sports have ever
- 6:33Speaker 1: worked ever in any sport, Like there's the most talented,
- 6:37Speaker 1: Like how many times have we said individually, this guy's
- 6:40Speaker 1: got to Like if that were the case, Jeff George
- 6:42Speaker 1: would be in the Hall of Fame. We would just say,
- 6:43Speaker 1: you know what, No, he was the most talented. So
- 6:46Speaker 1: I don't care. Tom Brady won all these Super Bowls,
- 6:48Speaker 1: but Jeff George is more talented than Tom Brady. So
- 6:50Speaker 1: if we're gonna have a Hall of Fame, let's put
- 6:52Speaker 1: Jeff George in there because he's more talented. Who cares
- 6:55Speaker 1: about the talent the results matter, ridiculous. I don't understand
- 6:59Speaker 1: that whole argument. There's more NFL players on Alabama than SMU,
- 7:03Speaker 1: so they get in. That's not what's the point of
- 7:07Speaker 1: playing the games? Like that doesn't make any sense to me.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I just didn't care for it. All right, that's it.
- 7:12Speaker 1: That's a wrap for the lead block presented by Team
- 7:15Speaker 1: Mobile for Business. Football needs a network willing to go
- 7:17Speaker 1: the xtra yard. So do you go further with Team
- 7:19Speaker 1: Mobile for Business? All right, let's transition to it. It's
- 7:23Speaker 1: time for Hot or Not, brought to you by Wasabi
- 7:25Speaker 1: Hot Cloud Storage. And if we're looking at guys who
- 7:28Speaker 1: are hot, let's look at teams that are hot right now.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And I want to focus on the Minnesota Vikings. Buck,
- 7:33Speaker 1: we didn't get your chance to win. I feel like,
- 7:36Speaker 1: of the three of us, you've been on this train
- 7:39Speaker 1: longer than we have. I was a little reluctant to
- 7:41Speaker 1: totally buy in. You know, I love what Sam's done. Defensively,
- 7:45Speaker 1: they find ways to get stops when they need it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: They're aggressive, but we were just talking about it yesterday,
- 7:50Speaker 1: like they are in control of their own destiny. The
- 7:52Speaker 1: number one seed, it's all right there in front of them.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all right there in front of it. And
- 7:57Speaker 4: I will say this because I'm sure y'all gave Sam
- 7:59Speaker 4: Dono his flower. I loved how one. I think Kevin
- 8:02Speaker 4: O'Connell has provided a blueprint on how to build up
- 8:05Speaker 4: and support your quarterback, not just through the schematics, but
- 8:08Speaker 4: every time he talks, he makes sure he uplifts the quarterback.
- 8:12Speaker 4: He talked about Sam Donald like finally having an opportunity
- 8:16Speaker 4: to play and show people what he could do and
- 8:18Speaker 4: how it's not us, it's him.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I just love that from Kevin O'Connell.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Obviously, he's a friend of the show, we know him
- 8:24Speaker 4: pretty well, but I just love the way that he
- 8:25Speaker 4: supports them. The reason why the Vikings are dangerous because
- 8:29Speaker 4: they have multiple paths to victory. They not only can
- 8:32Speaker 4: go a Sam Donald to Justin Jefferson, they have a
- 8:34Speaker 4: full compliment of weapons on the outside. When it comes
- 8:36Speaker 4: to their passing game, they can run the ball with
- 8:39Speaker 4: Aaron Jones just enough to keep you balanced, to do
- 8:41Speaker 4: it defensively. They excel in two of the categories that
- 8:46Speaker 4: matter the most, sacks and takeaways.
- 8:49Speaker 2: That's what they live for.
- 8:50Speaker 4: It that's what they play for, and when the offense
- 8:52Speaker 4: gives them a lead, they're able to feast off offenses
- 8:56Speaker 4: that are chasing points. To me, they are a team
- 8:59Speaker 4: that is well constructed when it comes to the playoffs,
- 9:02Speaker 4: and you're right, if they're able to win the number
- 9:05Speaker 4: one seed, get to buy and have those games go
- 9:08Speaker 4: through there.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a game change.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Even though I like how Dan Campbell sucked it up
- 9:13Speaker 4: and said everybody, I don't care about the excuses. We're
- 9:16Speaker 4: gonna get after it. The old scoo coaching me loves it.
- 9:18Speaker 4: But Minnesota is a very, very tough out.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I got a hot team for you, and it's a
- 9:24Speaker 3: team that we've talked about a bunch, but not necessarily
- 9:27Speaker 3: for the reasons in DJ. You and I hit this
- 9:29Speaker 3: when we were talking about the Rams beating the Jets.
- 9:32Speaker 3: But the Rams showing that they can win with defense too,
- 9:37Speaker 3: I think is an important step as they get ready
- 9:39Speaker 3: to close out this regular season right now leading the
- 9:42Speaker 3: NFC West, and you know, the the Vikings certainly gave
- 9:46Speaker 3: them a little bit of cushion there by taking care
- 9:48Speaker 3: of business against the Seahawks. But I think we've talked
- 9:50Speaker 3: so much about you know, you know how they manufacture
- 9:53Speaker 3: offense with the run game and Kien Williams. Then you
- 9:55Speaker 3: can always count on big physical presence wide receivers like
- 9:59Speaker 3: Cooper Up and Pooka Akua making big catches. They're so
- 10:03Speaker 3: hard to bring down when they get the ball in
- 10:04Speaker 3: their hands. They're reliable targets. But man on defense for
- 10:08Speaker 3: you to be able to rely on a defense to
- 10:10Speaker 3: win the way they did and keep uh, you know
- 10:12Speaker 3: the Jets under ten points, it was you know, they
- 10:14Speaker 3: had some bend but don't break moments there too. Turnover
- 10:17Speaker 3: on downs, had a couple of turnovers there. So like
- 10:20Speaker 3: I think that when you're looking at teams that can
- 10:22Speaker 3: play some complimentary football, it can pick up one side
- 10:24Speaker 3: of the ball when one is less than The Rams
- 10:27Speaker 3: certainly fit that bill to me, and it could be
- 10:30Speaker 3: something to watch as a hot team moving forward.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely two hot teams to keep an eye on
- 10:35Speaker 1: there in the NFC. That was this week's Hot or
- 10:37Speaker 1: Not segment, brought to you by with Sabbi Hot Clouds storage,
- 10:41Speaker 1: store more and do more with your data. Try them
- 10:43Speaker 1: for free at Withsabbi dot Com. You guys, ready for
- 10:46Speaker 1: a littlerooie draft. By the way, I mean we go well, fuck, Buck,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I mean, what are we doing here? Let's step your
- 10:53Speaker 1: you know what I've tried to get, I've tried.
- 10:54Speaker 4: To give you, you.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Know, like positive coaching. I'm done with that. Now we're
- 10:58Speaker 1: now we're cracking the web.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Let's go. Come on.
- 11:00Speaker 2: No, No, here's what I'm playing for. I'm playing for
- 11:03Speaker 2: the playoffs.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'm playing the playoffs.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no there's no pride to be done.
- 11:08Speaker 4: I've done that. I'm on the Jaguar sideline everything like
- 11:11Speaker 4: we were beyond the playing for pride thing.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I am right.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Yeah, my eyes are on the playoffs, and I'm just
- 11:19Speaker 4: I'm just waiting for the playoffs. I'm waiting for the playoffs.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Last week, reset it, this doesn't matter. This is the preseason.
- 11:25Speaker 4: My eyes are on some playoff version of our fantasy drafted.
- 11:29Speaker 1: All right, that's fair, that's Buck. You grew up watching.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You grew up watching wrestling as a kid, though, right,
- 11:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 2: The heel.
- 11:36Speaker 4: I love the heels. I love I love the guy
- 11:38Speaker 4: that's the bad guy.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Well, this is a handicap match, Okay, it's just two
- 11:42Speaker 1: v one. I need you to just take enough points
- 11:45Speaker 1: away from rhtt that I can sneak by him here
- 11:47Speaker 1: to win this thing.
- 11:48Speaker 4: That's what we need. So I'm gonna play my part.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I am ravishing Rick Rude.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yes, hands the hands behind the head. Yeah nice. Uh well,
- 12:04Speaker 1: guess what, Rick Rude? You got the first pick, followed
- 12:06Speaker 1: by Bucky and then myself here I've cut into the lead.
- 12:08Speaker 1: He's only up by five. We got a chance to
- 12:10Speaker 1: reel him in. Wait, hold on.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I need to know though, because like everybody calls it
- 12:15Speaker 3: a day for fantasy leagues in the in this week,
- 12:17Speaker 3: like this is the finals?
- 12:18Speaker 5: So is this our finals? Are we going through Week eighteen?
- 12:23Speaker 1: Depends on how I do.
- 12:26Speaker 5: It's so ridiculous.
- 12:28Speaker 1: This is it you're saying that, No way, this is
- 12:31Speaker 1: not it eighteen. You're gonna know who's playing. You can
- 12:33Speaker 1: pick the guys. There's a lot he's left. There's a.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Team sitting players in week eighteen.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Go ahead, bucket, nailed it, nail it. You're up first.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Oh this is easy.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Give me the offensive rookie of the year Jaydon Dames. Yep,
- 12:50Speaker 1: that's smart. Good pick man. He's really good, pretty fair
- 12:55Speaker 1: es he is, Yes, he is.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Go ahead, interesting one here, boy, is very interesting one. Here.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Okay, I'm just I gotta see when I come back
- 13:09Speaker 3: around here, because I don't I'm I'm I.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Just gotta It's like I gotta predict what.
- 13:13Speaker 3: DJ is gonna do, and I'm just I'm not one
- 13:15Speaker 3: hundred percent certain, but I don't want to play for
- 13:21Speaker 3: second place with the quarterback here. So give me Brian
- 13:24Speaker 3: Thomas Jr.
- 13:26Speaker 5: With this?
- 13:27Speaker 2: Whoa so personal?
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah me be Okay, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go
- 13:35Speaker 1: back to back. I'm gonna go. I know it's gonna
- 13:37Speaker 1: be cold, but I'm gonna go lad at New England. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 1: and then and then I'm gonna come back with ours.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Hours the Saints.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Yeah, smart, all right, right, you're up?
- 13:47Speaker 5: No, Yes, I am up, Yeah, you're up right? All right.
- 13:51Speaker 3: So Bucky's already got his quarterback and so we're not
- 13:53Speaker 3: going to see you until the last picks. I don't
- 13:56Speaker 3: have to go quarterback here, which means I got the
- 14:01Speaker 3: Bucks playing for their playoff lives against the Panthers.
- 14:06Speaker 2: He's been, he's been so good to you.
- 14:08Speaker 1: He's a bucket Buckyball. Bucky Ball has been.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Might be I think it's I think it's probably feeling
- 14:14Speaker 3: I just there's nothing I can trust with the Giants.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Like I want to pick neighbors, but like I, I
- 14:19Speaker 3: just that's hard. Give me Bucky Irving baby, let me
- 14:22Speaker 3: run or I with him. M hmmm, all right, Bucky?
- 14:25Speaker 3: Back to backs?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Well I need two wide receivers. Who
- 14:32Speaker 2: you took ladd In Bowers early? Right?
- 14:35Speaker 1: DJ, you could take a running back wanted?
- 14:38Speaker 4: Yeah, running backs. Every time we try and get a
- 14:40Speaker 4: running back to get hurt. The only one that is
- 14:42Speaker 4: reliable is Bucky. So I guess keep it, Chuck. I
- 14:46Speaker 4: guess I'll go with Marvin Harrison JUNR who's done absolutely
- 14:49Speaker 4: nothing for me forever.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Then feel real good about that.
- 14:54Speaker 4: I don't feel great about it. And then I might
- 14:57Speaker 4: as well do the other wide receiver for the Giants
- 14:59Speaker 4: who doesn't have a back league neighbors just bad bad?
- 15:03Speaker 2: Who would think that? These two guys right right?
- 15:08Speaker 5: I love it.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I don't. I don't like that confidence that you're giving
- 15:12Speaker 1: me their buck. All right?
- 15:15Speaker 3: Interesting choice, boys, quarterback.
- 15:21Speaker 5: Load me up former Indiana.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Hoosier Michael to win me the league in the final
- 15:29Speaker 3: week of the league.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Wow, how about that move, mich I appreciate that that's
- 15:38Speaker 1: that's it. That's a gift. That's a gift because.
- 15:44Speaker 2: He's a husky.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Fuck versus the Bengals. Baby, let's go give me the
- 15:51Speaker 1: bow Nicks versus the Bengals. Let me take that one.
- 15:54Speaker 1: With their playoff life on the line, they're gotta gotta
- 15:57Speaker 1: have it all right, This is going to be interesting
- 15:59Speaker 1: to see how this thing shakes out. Final. Uh no,
- 16:02Speaker 1: it depends the penultimate. Does that mean the one before?
- 16:05Speaker 5: Now?
- 16:05Speaker 1: This isn't you want to make it? No?
- 16:07Speaker 2: No, we got we got eighteen weeks. The season is
- 16:09Speaker 2: eighteen weeks.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Yeah, and we can't switch.
- 16:12Speaker 2: You never know.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey, hey, Michael may game to get into
- 16:16Speaker 1: the to get into the playoffs, we may need your boy. Hey, hey,
- 16:21Speaker 1: Devondre Lewis. Let's let's see this thing through. Let's finish
- 16:24Speaker 1: this thing off. Come wow, get to the ye can't
- 16:28Speaker 1: walk the walk off the fields. Over all, right, let's
- 16:31Speaker 1: say quick break, we come back. We hit the game
- 16:33Speaker 1: of the week right after this.
- 16:39Speaker 4: It's time for Game of the Week presented by Draft
- 16:41Speaker 4: Kings Sportsbook. This week is the Chiefs at the Steelers.
- 16:45Speaker 4: To spread is minus two and a half, favoring the Chiefs.
- 16:47Speaker 4: The over under is forty three. What a great game.
- 16:52Speaker 4: I mean we're talking about I mean, in a way,
- 16:54Speaker 4: they're Americans team. They can't see the Chiefs because either
- 16:57Speaker 4: you love them or you hate them. There's no there's
- 17:00Speaker 4: no sitting right in the.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Middle of this.
- 17:03Speaker 2: And man, they can clinch it. They can clinch home field.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Advantage to get a two week by if they win
- 17:08Speaker 1: this game.
- 17:09Speaker 4: And despite all of that outrage that goes around the Chiefs,
- 17:14Speaker 4: they come full circle back as the back to back
- 17:16Speaker 4: defending champs. They're sitting at number one. And the thing
- 17:19Speaker 4: about it is, I don't know if Patchrick Mahomes is gumby,
- 17:23Speaker 4: but I've never seen someone who like, I mean.
- 17:29Speaker 5: Get it.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I just don't know, But I kind
- 17:33Speaker 2: of like how they're trending.
- 17:35Speaker 4: I love how they dismantled to Houston Texans, like they're
- 17:38Speaker 4: kind of going the right way. It'd be interesting to
- 17:39Speaker 4: see how they play against the Chiefs, I mean play
- 17:41Speaker 4: against the Steelers. And for the Steelers it's almost like
- 17:45Speaker 4: a loser leaf town Matt because they've dropped too in
- 17:48Speaker 4: a row. They lose three in a row, you begin
- 17:50Speaker 4: to really worry about them. As the Baltimore Ravens take
- 17:54Speaker 4: full control over the AFC North.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Can I give you a quick basketball analogy. By the way,
- 18:00Speaker 1: Mahomes when he entered into the league, he was like
- 18:03Speaker 1: Vince Carter, Bucky's guy, where you just had like the
- 18:06Speaker 1: high flying dunks and it was just like unbelievable. He
- 18:11Speaker 1: has morphed into like Tim Duncan with this team, where
- 18:14Speaker 1: like they're just boringly gonna hit the benkshit three seconds
- 18:18Speaker 1: left to beat you every single time. Like it is,
- 18:21Speaker 1: they've become boringly good.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Yeah, uh yeah, you know how you know a lot
- 18:28Speaker 3: of times we talk about you know, teams, uh, you
- 18:30Speaker 3: know doing studies in the offseason, and we'll even do
- 18:32Speaker 3: him here right where you go study things that worked
- 18:34Speaker 3: really well, you know for other teams in other ways,
- 18:37Speaker 3: whether it was concepts you know on offense or certain
- 18:39Speaker 3: coverages versus you know, certain looks defensively. I feel like
- 18:44Speaker 3: you're going to get the rest of the league to
- 18:46Speaker 3: go study with Rick Burke Holder and the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Yeah, how are they find What have they found?
- 18:55Speaker 3: What secret sauce have they found with the high ankles
- 18:58Speaker 3: that allows you know, a player like Mahome who is
- 19:00Speaker 3: moving around constantly at a rushing touchdown in this game
- 19:04Speaker 3: to just kind of be fine, It's it's incredible. I mean, obviously,
- 19:09Speaker 3: you know, credit to Mahomes and his toughness and all that,
- 19:12Speaker 3: but man, they figured that part out pretty well.
- 19:15Speaker 1: But look, the Steelers getting pickings back buck is big though.
- 19:18Speaker 1: That changes the offense.
- 19:21Speaker 4: It does because they've been very prodestrian. They've they've been
- 19:24Speaker 4: limited and you see his impact and value. And maybe
- 19:26Speaker 4: that was a plan to allow him to get fully
- 19:28Speaker 4: healthy because they know they're going to need that not
- 19:31Speaker 4: only down the regular season, but in the postseason.
- 19:33Speaker 2: They need the deep ball. Uh.
- 19:35Speaker 4: It's just the fact that they're just losing these games
- 19:37Speaker 4: to these top teams you kind of warner about their
- 19:40Speaker 4: legitimate contender status. This would be a big game for them.
- 19:43Speaker 4: One thing that we do know is they have traditionally
- 19:45Speaker 4: played well against the Kent City Chiefs. They kind of
- 19:49Speaker 4: had a way of being able to kind of get
- 19:50Speaker 4: around it. Now Pat Mahomes is a different animal. But
- 19:53Speaker 4: it'd be interesting to see how they attack them, being
- 19:55Speaker 4: able to play him in their own stadium.
- 19:57Speaker 2: See if they can get a dub. Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 1: No, it's going to be a big ball game. Looking
- 20:01Speaker 1: forward to that, and again the Steelers went out, they
- 20:04Speaker 1: win the division, they lose this ballgame. Now the power
- 20:08Speaker 1: goes over to the Baltimore Ravens to walk through it
- 20:11Speaker 1: and come to the division, who.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Was beginning to play really, really well.
- 20:16Speaker 1: The loser of that division is going to go to Houston,
- 20:18Speaker 1: which I don't know that they're all that concerned. Yeah, yeah, No,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you'd like to be at home. You like to be
- 20:24Speaker 1: at home. But you're looking at you're looking at potentially
- 20:27Speaker 1: it would be a would you let me ask you this,
- 20:29Speaker 1: would you guys rather play at home versus the Chargers
- 20:32Speaker 1: or would you rather play on the road versus the Texans?
- 20:36Speaker 4: I mean, I think I think you want to play
- 20:38Speaker 4: the Look the Texans just lost Tankdale the down Stepan
- 20:41Speaker 4: Diggs did. Now one man showing the perimeter with Nico Collins, like,
- 20:45Speaker 4: I don't know if they were last year to Yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Do you think, Gret you're are Houston, you're a Houstonian?
- 20:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I just I still think that there's there's enough there
- 20:57Speaker 3: with Houston, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I know they lost none a couple of guys too
- 21:01Speaker 3: on that side, but I think there's still enough there
- 21:03Speaker 3: defensively to cause you some trouble. And I think in
- 21:05Speaker 3: the playoffs i'd rather almost any opponent at home.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yeah that's fair, that's fair. Well, your sister well will
- 21:12Speaker 1: approve of that.
- 21:14Speaker 5: I love the bonds, the bond, the bond, didn't.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I love it.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Nothing to see there, Buck, nothing to see there. Wrap
- 21:21Speaker 1: us up on this thing, Buck, what we got.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Download the Draftings Sportsbook app now use goote mts. New
- 21:26Speaker 4: customers can bet just five bucks to get one hundred
- 21:29Speaker 4: and fifty dollars in bonus bets. If your bet wins
- 21:32Speaker 4: only on DraftKings Sports Book with empts, the crown is yours.
- 21:37Speaker 5: Buck.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Yesterday, Rett and I had a chance to kiss off
- 21:41Speaker 1: in a deal with kind of a little formal thank you.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I know you chipped in as well. We all chipped
- 21:46Speaker 1: in and got them a little jersey, little Jordan Love jersey,
- 21:49Speaker 1: as well as a little cupe on a little a
- 21:51Speaker 1: little gift card for some food there time. So we
- 21:54Speaker 1: wanted to think about. I wanted to give you the flour.
- 21:56Speaker 1: You can say you're a good biased in the bill here, No.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Man were going us in the bill.
- 22:00Speaker 4: We're gonna miss the uh fandom the Green Bay Packers.
- 22:04Speaker 2: But yeah, even though I.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Don't think it Wisconsin too.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Now, well, there's so many fandom spots.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Like Miami, he can go andy.
- 22:11Speaker 4: And and then there's certain UFC fighters and and people
- 22:14Speaker 4: that he supports. I'm just going to miss the fandom
- 22:17Speaker 4: because at a time where uh, the media business used
- 22:21Speaker 4: to be unbiased and we reported things right down the line.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Fair.
- 22:24Speaker 4: It's good to have a fan, and I don't know
- 22:26Speaker 4: if there's a bigger fan out there than the Bill.
- 22:28Speaker 4: And so I'm going to miss him. I'm gonna miss
- 22:31Speaker 4: the Packers conversation. But I know somewhere he's gonna have
- 22:34Speaker 4: a tough time wearing Jordan Love jerseys every day of
- 22:37Speaker 4: the week.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he's gonna need a few more. You gotta keep
- 22:41Speaker 1: it clean, that's why. Yeah. And then uh, you know, look,
- 22:46Speaker 1: he's going to a good place. And you can follow
- 22:48Speaker 1: the Bill on socials, you can, uh, you can keep
- 22:50Speaker 1: up with him. But he's been a great, great producer
- 22:52Speaker 1: and a great friend to us here and we are
- 22:54Speaker 1: excited for him with a great opportunity he has in
- 22:56Speaker 1: front of him. So with that, UH, appreciate you guys
- 22:59Speaker 1: hanging with us. It is uh. It is almost time
- 23:03Speaker 1: uh to get to get Christmas going here. It's great
- 23:05Speaker 1: holiday season. Hope you guys are enjoying your time with
- 23:07Speaker 1: your friends and your family, some great food. We will
- 23:09Speaker 1: see you next time right here on movie sticks.
- 23:15Speaker 2: M m hmmmm
- 23:23Speaker 4: Hm hm
