- 0:00Well, hey, we have the year end here, so we're celebrating the
- 0:03big things that have happened this year, like, for example, the world
- 0:06records. Okay, okay, And to set this up, I'm gonna throw
- 0:08you back a bit. You ready, Are you familiar with the tune by
- 0:15a horrible, horrible person? R Kelly? Never heard the song, Oh,
- 0:19R Kelly's the world's greatest. Before I knew he was trash, I
- 0:24enjoyed his music. Well, he's got that one song that's really good,
- 0:26the remix to remix, Yeah, of course. And then he did it
- 0:29was hot and fresh out the kitchen one from space Jam. He did that
- 0:33song, Yes, I Believe I can fly? Thank you. Yeah.
- 0:38So you've got a couple of good ones again, horrible guy. So the
- 0:41oddest Guinness World Records of twenty twenty three have been revealed. Somebody broke the
- 0:45record for the loudest burp, Oh, the loudest purpose. It was a
- 0:48lady, not very lady like wow of Kim Kimberly Winter. She belted out
- 0:54a belch that measured one hundred and seven decibels, approximately as loud as a
- 0:58motorcycle at full throttle. A person could blow out their own ear drums.
- 1:02Yeah, I don't see why not. Well, that's risky to be burping
- 1:04that loud. Give it a try. Yell as loud as you can into
- 1:07the microphone. I don't like loud noises. Oh okay, I'd rather not.
- 1:11That's my biggest pet feet. My wife will tell you people speaking louder
- 1:15than it's required, got it. The world record was set for the longest
- 1:19tongue on a living dog. Oh as long as a dead dog. Yeah,
- 1:25well those tend to hang a little bit. You ever seen a dead
- 1:30cow? Yeah, they really do look dead. Of all the animals that
- 1:34die, cows look the deadest when they die. There's no doubt about it.
- 1:38Don't even check for a pulse. If that tongue is haanging, that
- 1:42cow is dead. Out to pasture. It goes. Well, the living
- 1:48dog with the longest tongue. Any guests here to guess at how long?
- 1:51Three feet? Now you went a little long. Actually you measured five point
- 1:57four to six inches, so that's just about an hour. Yeah, no,
- 2:02it's actually the world right, that is about that's actually said in Illinois,
- 2:07most spoons balanced on the body. That record was shattered here in twenty
- 2:10twenty three. What a year for records balancing. How do you bet?
- 2:15Okay, hold on spoons on the body? Do you go? Are you
- 2:17going vertical or horizontal? That's a good question, boy, because vertical would
- 2:21be a tough one, pike. I would think one or two would be.
- 2:23Well, I'll tell you this guy and by the way, he broke
- 2:25the record that previously was held by himself. Wow, sort of dedicated spoons.
- 2:34If I was his buddy, I would like tickle him with a feather
- 2:36while he was really working on you, devil. You would would be like,
- 2:40we'll get care to guess how many spoons he balanced in various three around
- 2:44his body? No? Eighty eight? Wow, that's quite a few now.
- 2:46We also had the world record set in twenty twenty three for the most
- 2:49magic tricks underwater in three minutes. I love an underwater magic trick, don't
- 2:53you the best? How much? How much would you pay for an underwater
- 2:58magic show? Ten thousand dollars? Yes? Yes, it's so much more
- 3:02difficult. So Avery Emerson Fisher managed to pull off thirteen underwater magic tricks in
- 3:09three minutes. Do you think that rabbits have little snorkels on him? As
- 3:14he's pulling them out of the house. Oh my god, they'd be adorable,
- 3:15because otherwise those rabbits are going the way of the cow. Tongues would
- 3:21be a hanging. Jeez, you got it. If I had a if
- 3:23I had a gun point at you right now, I said, do a
- 3:25magic trick. What's the best one you could pull off? Oh? God,
- 3:29maybe the thumb the thumb slider. I don't even know how to do
- 3:31it now. Though I would, I would be dead because I can't remember
- 3:36how to do it. Okay, Well I didn't say it was actually chewed
- 3:39yet. Oh I was just what's the point of threatening me with the gun?
- 3:44Any idea with the record for the most people eating a single piece of
- 3:46spaghetti simultaneously became in twenty twenty three because somebody broke the record. Wait,
- 3:52you mean, like like lady in the tram style. Well, correct,
- 3:54but you know there's going to be more than two. So it's just it's
- 3:57sort of like if we were all eating a party sub together, but we
- 4:00all had our mouths on the spaghetti noodle together. Yep, it's gotta be
- 4:02simultaneous, but the noodles are only like a foot long. How many mouths.
- 4:05Can you get on there? Five? You know what? I misspoke?
- 4:09The record actually does include the Lady in the tram thing. It's just
- 4:12how many people at the same time we're doing the Lady in the tramp?
- 4:15Got it? Yep? So it's an astounding number, sixty eight hundred?
- 4:19Why'd you have to do that? Was it? Did I nail it?
- 4:21Now? It's four hundred and sixty feet It wasn't even close. Well,
- 4:25you said astounding. I thought it was low. I know, I know.
- 4:28Now this one the most interesting record set in twenty twenty three. The
- 4:30longest mustache on a living person. Again, do we have to specify?
- 4:36The air keeps growing? This dead guy's is unbelievable. Yeah, if you
- 4:41if you started digging graves up you would see some mustaches you'd be impressed by.
- 4:46They've set it for years, that's true. Now, what do you
- 4:47think the longest mustache? I've been overshooting everything, so we'll say six feet.
- 4:51Of course you would two feet one inch. Whiskers. Boy, that's
- 4:56a lot of stash. Now, this was officially verified at the National Beard
- 4:59and Mustache Championships. You ever been no, but I'd like to go.
- 5:01It's worth the trip. I'll tell you that, Mike. It a minute
- 5:05in the morning, Big ninety eight point seven. But now it it's time
- 5:09Jeff. A Friday tradition. Yeah, a hypothetical situation game that tests your
- 5:14morals and values is human It's called what do you do? Oh Baby,
- 5:19James, you're the guest. Please kick things off. A magical genie appears
- 5:24to you one cold night, Pike yours a you know we've done this a
- 5:27few times now with you. It's always genie themed. It seems. I
- 5:30love the genie from Aladdin. I just saw the Aladdin play in the Cities
- 5:33last weekend. Really the play, yeah, Broadway musical. It was fantastic.
- 5:38I'm just obsessed with the genie. Okay, this genie doesn't grant wishes.
- 5:41However, this genie needs you to decide which holidays we celebrate. He
- 5:46says, you must decide eliminate Christmas or eliminate all the other holidays we have,
- 5:53but keep Christmas. Pike, Wow, wow, wow, wow,
- 5:57wow. Lots of consider here. Can it's a genie from Aladdin, Not
- 6:01that it's a genie probably, it's probably more like when Jafar becomes the genie.
- 6:05It seems like kind of an evil thing to ask of a red genie.
- 6:08Yeah, yeah, it seems more like an evil genie. Move what
- 6:12do you do? What do you do? What do you do? Well?
- 6:13You know, obviously, what I have to consider here is would we
- 6:15still be getting days off at the workplace? Because you know, you got
- 6:18a number of days off. We're going to miss out on their Thanksgiving holiday,
- 6:23the President's Day, the fourth of July, the Memorial Day, and
- 6:27the Labor days? Do you want to Labor Day? Do you want me
- 6:30to keep naming mea? Can I clarify that, like, will there be
- 6:32days? No, It'll be like these holidays didn't exist ever, Well they're
- 6:36eliminating. Well, then I'm sorry, there's not getting rid of. Christmas
- 6:42is gone? Audio police navvied by Wait what audios? Audio police obviu jesus
- 6:50us, the last audios is gone? Sorry, Jane, Wow, you're
- 6:54just just like that. It's gone. And I love Christmas, but I
- 6:58can't do it. I can't for the rest of the societ. I cannot
- 7:00give up all those days off. All right, James, your turn,
- 7:04it's Christmas Eve. You're sound asleep in your little bed here and knock at
- 7:10the door. It's him who Chris Kringle, no Father Christmas, really Papo
- 7:18Jizo, Saint Nicholas Comma jolly old. I didn't know that was his first
- 7:28name, or more famously known as Santa Claus. Now, James, he's
- 7:31frantic, really, he says, James, you gotta help me. Rudolph
- 7:35is sick. I've got no red nose. I can't see bleep up there.
- 7:42I need you, James, to guide my slate tonight. Now,
- 7:46James, you're supposed to be up early for family Christmas, but he needs
- 7:50you. So, James, I don't have a red nose either. You
- 7:56got a flashlight at home or something? Right? The spotlight? What do
- 8:01you do? Oh? I'm I'm taking the call. I'm absolutely leading that
- 8:05sleigh. Are you kidding me? You're gonna leave your family hanging absolutely goodbye?
- 8:09And you think you could do the job? Uh, I don't know.
- 8:13He asked me, so he thinks I can. So I'm sure gonna
- 8:15give it a shot. If he's got to like shoot me down around Milwaukee,
- 8:18then I guess he's got to. But sorry, you're done. You're
- 8:22telling he made it to Milwaukee before he cuts you loose, like he just
- 8:24snips the rope you just as a matter of fact, I'd rather fly this
- 8:30sleigh blind than have you at the front of it. But I will do
- 8:33it, Pike. That's admirable. I gotta do it. You're up.
- 8:35It's a very similar question. No good, because my next one is also
- 8:39the same. Vein if you will? Santa delivers your gifts and it's hopping
- 8:43into his sleigh on your roof to take off to the next house. You
- 8:46come home late, probably had a gig, you know, sare a big
- 8:50low standards gig, low standards gig. And you come home and you see
- 8:52him on the roof and you're, like Santa spooked. He falls off the
- 8:56roof. Sounds familiar. He's injured and unable to complete his task of giving
- 9:03gifts to all the good girls and boys. He asked you to take up
- 9:05the mantle, Pike, don the suit and finish the night of giving gifts.
- 9:09Pike, we know what Tim Allen would do. Wow, but what
- 9:16do you do? I had to do my Tim really good at impressions.
- 9:26Nobody's ever said that. But thank you, You're welcome. You know I
- 9:28would. It sounds like a lot of work, you know. If you've
- 9:31seen the film, the Santa Claus doesn't necessarily turn out to be all it's
- 9:35cracked up to be. Well, there's pros and cons, for sure,
- 9:37there's a lot to think about. Of course, of course he kind of
- 9:39got forced into it. Am. I also going through a divorce, a
- 9:45vicious custody battle with my actual wife. Judge Reinhold steals your woman the nerdy
- 9:50psychologist, because if that's the case, they give me that suit. Right?
- 9:56All right, all right, James, final c what do you do?
- 10:01You're a child? All right? Okay, it's Christmas Eve again.
- 10:05This time you hear a knocking, but it's not on your door. Oh,
- 10:09it's coming from the room down the hall. What you would be?
- 10:15You walk in and there's your mom and Santa Claus. Whoa, let's just
- 10:20say they ain't kissing. So James, that's it. Well, there's one
- 10:28more question I have to ask, what do you do? So? I
- 10:33assumed that the knocking was for me to hey, what do you need?
- 10:37But then I see that the needs are being fulfilled already. What are you're
- 10:41saying? More or less? Yeah? I think I just slowly closed the
- 10:45door. Yeah, is that right? That's it? I mean, what
- 10:50do you what? What do you do? I mean, honestly, Pike,
- 10:52what do you do? Dorend? Now here's what you need from now?
- 10:58Well? Hello, in for a and Lee who's off today? We
- 11:01have a friend James feeling and take it away James. A British boy whose
- 11:03location has been unknown for six years, was found on Wednesday morning in a
- 11:07region of southwest France. Alex Batty has not been seen since he was eleven
- 11:11years old after being taken on holiday in Spain in twenty seventeen with his mother,
- 11:16who did not have legal parental guardianship, and his granddad. Batty,
- 11:20now aged seventeen, was found by a Frenchman walking along the side of the
- 11:24road singing this song at around three am with a skateboard, a jacket,
- 11:26a backpack and a flashlight. Well had everything he needed. It sounds like
- 11:31so, he says, willing nilly walking Was he wanting to be found?
- 11:33Well, the Frenchman said. Batty told him he was kidnapped by his mother
- 11:37in twenty seventeen, before spending three years in Spain two years in France.
- 11:41Police are investigating. Yikes, the movie is going to be great. Well,
- 11:45they already did a movie about somebody going missing over in Europe. Just
- 11:48one, well they did three. Liam Neeson in Taken Taking one, two
- 11:52and three. Oh you remember the film. I only saw the first one.
- 11:54That's all you need to see. I will spoil it to say the
- 11:58mom dies in the third one. I'll never be watching that Pike. Thanks
- 12:03a lot. I'm still glad they found that kid, though. That's crazy.
- 12:07Six years missing. I mean, obviously maybe giving up home. It's
- 12:09unfamily, but he's coming home, probably not going home to mom. Yeah,
- 12:15Mom, I think we need to cut out of the equation. Yeah,
- 12:16she's got to go. NDSU buys and football team will travel to Montana
- 12:20tomorrow to take on the Grizzlies in the FCS semi finals. Bison are favored
- 12:24by one single solitary point, basically a coin flip. If victorious, they
- 12:30will play in the championship in Frisco, Texas on January seventh. It's part
- 12:33of the lifeblood of living in fargam More and there's death taxes and Frisco,
- 12:39Texas. That's right, So I hope they hey speaking of the Bison.
- 12:43Pike, former NBSU quarterback in Big ninety eight point seven intern Easton Stick started
- 12:48his first NFL game last night for the Los Angeles Chargers. I really like
- 12:52saying Easton Stick. It was always a great name, and he's a great
- 12:56guy. Like you had mentioned at the top of the story, he was
- 12:58an intern here at this radio station him for some time. Not exactly sure
- 13:01why. I think it was just kind of fill in time between his senior
- 13:03season and graduation. And but he was a great guy, and I befriended
- 13:07him and we've become lifelong friends. I haven't talked to him since, but
- 13:11we have each other in our hearts. Yeah, you couldn't text him,
- 13:16is what you're saying. And when he left, I gave him one of
- 13:18those turtle doves like in Home Alone. Two. Oh, that's cute.
- 13:20He got one. So as long as we each have one, will always
- 13:24be together. Two turtle duves. Two turtle dub was the score. Homeless
- 13:31woman in that movie couldn't throw a ball to save her life, let's be
- 13:33honest. Not an athlete. No, she loved music though she broke into
- 13:39that symphony home, but great acoustics in that room. She seems she's seen
- 13:45some of the world's best composers illegally I love her. I'll be doing time,
- 13:52not two turtle doves. You'd be two years to life. That's what
- 13:56she should get for Christmas. It's gonna be come out here today, Pike.
- 14:00We're gonna see Iah thirty eight wintery mix possible, could be icy today.
- 14:03So watch out as you're breaking into symphony halls and things. Yes,
- 14:07always be careful, yea. Also look out for kids ripping necklaces apart,
- 14:11and the beads battering everywhere. You could trip and follow that good take at
- 14:16a man in the morning ninety seven. You know, things are getting expensive
- 14:20right inflation. You know, thankfully in this part of the country, we're
- 14:24not feeling it is as bad as some places. Like this dude who lives
- 14:26in Seattle pays two thousand dollars a month for a five hundred square foot apartment
- 14:31and he's sick of it. He said, his groceries are two hundred dollars
- 14:33a month and he has to throw away half of them because well, nothing's
- 14:37really made for a single guy. And so he's complaining. Okay, well
- 14:39that's not that's just being a big baby. You can figure that out.
- 14:43Well, yeah, you know, these millennials, you'll throw it away one
- 14:46hundred dollars of groceries a month. You are a fool, I know.
- 14:48So this guy, he's going viral because he wants to enter in what he's
- 14:52calling a inflation ship. Okay, so he's got the one bedroom, five
- 14:56hundred square footer apartment yep, and he wants somebody to sleep with him platonically,
- 15:01he just literally wants a roommate. But because it's such a small apartment,
- 15:05he just wants you to sleep in the same bed because there's not room
- 15:07for two beds in five hundred square feet. Oh correct, I mean,
- 15:11I guess you could do a bunk bed situation, but you know, Murphy
- 15:13Murphy bed. I'm a little Murphy bed. But basically he wants to sleep,
- 15:16but yeah, without the horsing around. And so he's gone viral for
- 15:20wanting inflationship. What do you think. I don't believe him. I think
- 15:24he's just really bad at dating. You know, that's just it. I
- 15:26mean, you feel like you could just pretend like somebody to get him to
- 15:33split the bills with you. That's the problem. Nobody wants to like him.
- 15:35He's just not a likable guy. I mean, he throws away all
- 15:39these groceries. I mean, it's just a constant smells like rotten food in
- 15:41that house all the time because he never empties the garbage. Obviously, who
- 15:45would want to live with this guy? When you said inflationship, though,
- 15:46I thought of like maybe like when people will try to be in the carpool
- 15:50lane in a larger city and they'll put like a blow up doll in the
- 15:52Oh, that's desperate. You ever done anything desperate to save a couple bucks?
- 15:56I used to sell my DVDs when I was having trouble making. Is
- 16:00that right? Yeah, make a few bucks and head over to the pond
- 16:03shop and geez, I've tried to a couple of trips of the pawn shop
- 16:07as well, back in the day, and we've all seen pond stars.
- 16:10You're never gonna get You're hoping here, you want twenty bucks, They're like,
- 16:12I'll give you three bucks, or get the heck out of here.
- 16:17But uh, I had a friend who was so desperate to go to Weefest
- 16:19back in the day when we were in college, and he was like planning
- 16:22on not going because he just knew he couldn't afford it. And then as
- 16:25it was getting closer, and all my other friends were getting ready to like,
- 16:27you know, can't go camp and viking or whatever. He started just
- 16:30selling everything he had. It's just like a mad dash to sell every blonde
- 16:36clothing so he could make the one hundred and twenty bucks to like my shirt?
- 16:40You like my shirt and give it two for five bucks, just top
- 16:42less running around town. You gotta love it all right. So if you've
- 16:47done something that you've you know, been a little desperate to save a buck
- 16:49or two, please let us know. Seven o' one. I keep wanting
- 16:52to give me out the Santa hotline. What is our phone number again?
- 16:55Seven one two eight oh one nine eight seven. Thank you, Brave James,
- 17:00Thank you Amanda in the morning on sign and now Stills, Let's see,
- 17:07We's see. I tell me if you remember this theme song? Yes?
- 17:10No, maybe, I don't know. Can you repeat the quest of
- 17:21the show Malcolm in the Middle of Malcolm in the Middle. Thanks on one
- 17:25episode? But man, do I love this theme? Sorry? No,
- 17:26anger, you didn't watch it after school growing up? No, I love
- 17:29that show. So Frankie Munez is the main guy Malcolm. He races cars
- 17:33nowdays. He's right, He's a professional race car driver, kind of gave
- 17:37up acting. He did the show, he did that thing with Amanda Vines,
- 17:40that show or a movie. But now as thirty eight years old professional
- 17:44race car driver and also admits to it never once in his life having done
- 17:48a single drug or taken a sip of alcohol, even a sip, never
- 17:52a sip. You ever met somebody like this and listen, awesome, right,
- 17:57more power to you. But at thirty eight years old, he said
- 18:00he just never had the urge. And it's not that he grew up like
- 18:03in a religious family or that his family didn't drink. He said, his
- 18:07family all drinks, that's what they do for fun. But he said by
- 18:10the time he was eighteen years old, he had not taken a sip,
- 18:11and so he said, well I made it this fart eighteen eighteen years old.
- 18:18Or he does live with a family of drunks, doesn't it. He's
- 18:19like, what, I really missed my window to drink. My fourteen year
- 18:23old cousin's drunk right now. Oh good for him though, Now justin Timberlake,
- 18:29I tease you with this that he's riling fans up of Britney Spears because
- 18:33two nights ago. He's at this hotel in Vegas that's opening up, so
- 18:36comes out for surprise performance. Nice. He's only done one performance since the
- 18:41whole Britney Spears memoir came out. And so when he came out, guess
- 18:44what song of all the justin Timberlake hits, guess what song he did?
- 18:47Prime a River, Yeah, Primeier River, the song infamously that is about
- 18:53his breakup with Brittany. It depicts her in the music video basically accuses her
- 18:57of cheating on him. And we know in the book that what he was
- 19:00cheating to the abortion thing. I mean, it is a mess. And
- 19:04so before he's sang it, he said to the crowd, quote no disrespect,
- 19:10and then then went into the song. So tell me he didn't know
- 19:14exactly what he was doing. You tell me you can't come out there and
- 19:17do Senorita rock your Body the thing from Trolls, Sexy Back, Sexy Back,
- 19:23any number of songs. I mean, so people another boys don't know
- 19:27how to act. You know, I think it's okay. That song is
- 19:32amazing. It's a fantastic song, sure, all time classic Pike. I
- 19:36would want to hear it if I was there, regardless of the person that
- 19:38would be thrilled, but you just know he's like he's just poking, just
- 19:41poking the fans. I wonder if he'll write his memoir next year and it'll
- 19:45be a memoir war a memoir. Oh hey, Now, and Selena Gomez
- 19:53isn't a hot new relationship with producer Benny Blanco. You see this, Who
- 19:59is Benny Benny Bloc You might recognize his name from that song east Side.
- 20:02I mean he's a big producer. He's produced Bieber and like just a ton
- 20:04of probably Selena. Well, now they're dating and they posted a photo.
- 20:08If you ever seen the show Dave, it's the Little Dicky Show on effect.
- 20:11So Benny Blanco's in that hilarious guy, like super bizarre guy blake in
- 20:15a funny way, not like your typical attractive Hollywood guy, kind of an
- 20:19odd looking duck. So you're saying they don't fit together. Well, she
- 20:22loves him. She says he's better than any guy she's ever been with.
- 20:26And then when they posted a photo online, a lot of people had some
- 20:27negative comments. One person referred to Benny Blanco as quote unhandsome, which is
- 20:33just that hurts worse than saying ugly, it really does. You were just
- 20:37unhandsome. So Selena clapback of that person and replied, feels so bad for
- 20:42you. And then somebody called her out said remove your cheek fillers slash implants,
- 20:48it's messing with your brain, and she clapped back to that saying,
- 20:52ha ha ha ha ha. I've had botox, baby girl, so she
- 20:55ain't having it, which is cool. Have you seen are you looking at
- 20:57photo the I'm looking a he does. He looks kind of like, I
- 21:02don't know, like a like a hipster man who's hanging out at a dive
- 21:04bar. He's poring an Oregon, a little dirty looking, very dirty looking.
- 21:08So, but he's hilarious. So where do you you know? I
- 21:11think the funnier you are, the lower the expectation is for how you look.
- 21:17Yeah, totally. And they're cute together. What the heck? What's
- 21:19I mean? He's not bad looking. I think people are still just holding
- 21:22onto the hope that she's going to get back with Justin Bieber. He's got
- 21:25a unibrow though, well there's the uno brown brown. He feels like he
- 21:29likes it, like he's really leaning into it. Well, how many times
- 21:32you I mean, what do you do because I've known people with the univerrase
- 21:33you feel bad, right, but you gotta shave it, wax it constantly?
- 21:37Or when do you just go whatever? Well? I got a Uni
- 21:40bron a nice wax last like a month. Oh it? Sure? Does
- 21:42you know you could easily get that once a month, Benny Blanco, you
- 21:45got enough money, or you could do that laser zapp it. There you
- 21:48go. Now that's something I'd be interested in. A little puty for the
- 21:52eyebrow, but my arm hair, of course, seeing it like a man
- 21:56in the morning. All right, So the Santa hot line is open.
- 21:57This is the number to the north. We have set it up. We
- 22:00have an agreement with mister Klaus and his wife in the Elves seven oh one
- 22:04four nine nine six nine zero three, twenty four hours a day. Your
- 22:07kiddos can call and let Sanda know what they want for Christmas, like this
- 22:11kid who had a little bit of a contentious situation with his parents. Okay,
- 22:15all right, listen, I want that Xbox down once, hockey and
- 22:19Lego. Okay, so we got Xbox, Xbox and Legos. What kind
- 22:23of legos though? Hockey, Lego coffee? So it's like cocky, like
- 22:30his legos that really like themselves. One time, when I was a child,
- 22:33my dad was very strict, you know, about swearing, and I
- 22:36said there was a cocky kid at school, you know, a kid who
- 22:37really was boasting. Uh huh. And my dad said, if you ever
- 22:41say that again, well you should be using the term arrogant pie comunit's.
- 22:45You know, I don't know what he thought cocky to think I still got
- 22:52more hawking one hum apacho in what's a funny? That's probably good? No,
- 23:00no, say that. He just doesn't want every to you don't want
- 23:04to hang up. He doesn't want it to end the voicemail with Santa Cla,
- 23:07I don't adorable. So he got on the phone with Santa. I
- 23:10know you're gonna cut me off after two things, after one cocky legs,
- 23:15Yeah, what Merry Christmas? I got one Mary? Yes, I play
- 23:21though Merry Christmas. Oh I forgot one monkey? Yes? And then he
- 23:26hangs up. I'm guessing at that point Mom took the phone. But he
- 23:30had one more thing? How many times? How many times is gonna have
- 23:33one more thing? I think that might have been the cutest call. Adorable,
- 23:36adorable can you top it? I wonder seven oh one four nine nine
- 23:40six ninety zero three. That's the number to the Santa Claus hotline, open
- 23:42twenty four hours a day, so go ahead and give it a call.
- 23:45You got anything on your Christmas list? James? We haven't talked about this
- 23:48yet. I haven't. No, I mean, I don't, you don't.
- 23:51You don't do anyone? Do you do a Secret Santa with anybody or
- 23:53nothing like that? You get gifts at all? Anybody? Love your bike?
- 24:00Ada in the morning. It's soliday, seas Hey, holidays season comes
- 24:04a lot of exciting and new drinks to try. And who better to talk
- 24:08to than Dustin from Happy Harry's Bottle Shops. Hello Dustin, Hello guys.
- 24:12How well yeah, looking looking great? Excited for the holiday? Well yeah,
- 24:18big time a year for the store. It is people. Uh,
- 24:21you know, when you have households of houseful of people coming or you're going
- 24:25to a house ful of people, typically Happy hereis as a place that's an
- 24:29essential stop for such gatherings just for entertaining purposes, but of course for you
- 24:34know in the guests are for purposes. Yeah, yeah, I mean,
- 24:37there's just it's festive. I mean it. For the most part. This
- 24:41is kind of our jam. Is is the holidays or were you know,
- 24:44adult beverages coming to play for fun, responsible enjoyment. Yes, and I
- 24:48just a holiday party with a cool holiday drink. And over the years you've
- 24:52made some good ones in the studio, so you know, we're reflecting on
- 24:56that last week and the week before. But oh yeah, yeah, I'd
- 24:57bring the blender in and you know, all the prep the night before.
- 25:00We'd have these crazy eggnog frozen blah blah blah drinks. And that sounds great.
- 25:06I love eggnog. I love it. I do too, and I've
- 25:08drank a lot of eggnog just straight, you know, without without without boot
- 25:12you put in it? What do you put drink? That's a Brandy Bourbon.
- 25:15Bourbon eggnogs are really really good. I just want to have so I
- 25:18have the Marty Moose Bugs that I ordered years ago, but the plastic version,
- 25:22not the glass version. I really really want to get a big glass
- 25:26bowl eggnog spiked and the glass Marty Moosebug mugs. That one. I just
- 25:30dip it in there and it's good. I know it one time. I
- 25:36haven't seen it enough times. I was so stuck on Home Alone too.
- 25:38It's like just all I would watch and so I really missed out, like
- 25:41the Christmas Story. What's the one with the shooting the eye out? Like
- 25:45I really haven't seen that movie Red Rider, Buby guys, Yeah, we
- 25:48do twenty four hours of that after like things they do multiple channels. Do
- 25:52it now you somehow missed it. I just need Mcaulay Culkin lost in New
- 25:56York City. That's all I need. If I had just just money that
- 26:00I just had to spend e mediate like it's just bringing the absolute biggest hole
- 26:03in my pocket. I'd go find the crappiest motor roome and I literally roll
- 26:07up Cousin Atty style, but a dog named Snot And yes, anyway,
- 26:11I digress. All right, Well, we got some exciting drinks to discuss.
- 26:15Let's get into it first. We have a couple of beers. Googles
- 26:18has a perfect holiday beer called Lakeside Cherry. The cherry is very even handed.
- 26:25It's not heavy cherry. It's just very subtle. You get the beer
- 26:29kind of like what you got with berry vice, but with cherry. I
- 26:32love a cherry drink, a cherry beer especially, but cherry food or cherry
- 26:36candy. The worst flavor when it comes like starburst. Yeah, the worst
- 26:40cherry pie, cherry suckers, cherry pie, cherry beer. Though, well,
- 26:45you don't you like cherry strawberry? I shouldn't judge. I shouldn't judge.
- 26:51Should you know what I make a man's I apologize. It's ridiculous,
- 26:56that's fine. You don't like cherry. It's just super weird, the worst
- 26:59thing I've ever had. There's a lot of these Lakeside cherryes for fun,
- 27:02and then fair State co Op. They have a favor favor. Favor of
- 27:06the Fox is dark coffee Logger with vanilla. So if you want something dark
- 27:10with tying with a vanilla, this would be certainly a fun thing to endeavor
- 27:14in. Sounds delicious. Uh. Last week I brought some na This week
- 27:17I'm bringing a couple more. These are the ones I'd ordered months ago,
- 27:21plus minus wine. So there's a Pinogregiel and there's a sparkling blanc to blanc.
- 27:26So if again, if if you have friends or family that don't drink,
- 27:30or are pregnant or are just taking a break, these are really really
- 27:34awesome NA wine options and tried them where like, these are fantastic. That
- 27:40the pinogregio is crisp and refreshing, the blanc to blank. If somebody wants
- 27:44an actual momosa with all the alcohol now you can make that would I mean
- 27:51big a Persco based This is the simple you know, same style flavor.
- 27:53You know what I like to do too, is because I just like drink
- 27:56at one speed sort of like anxiously. Just if I have a drink in
- 28:00my hand, I'm just constantly drinking it. So I'll just mix in either
- 28:03like an na drink or like a sparkling water or something, just to be
- 28:06able to kind of continue to that drink. But not pounding sessional beers.
- 28:11Absolutely, but you're gonna pound them just at that way you can last till
- 28:14two am. Yeah, hydrate and there, yeah exactly. And there's so
- 28:17many great and a beers, uh spirit adjuncts and our wines, so look
- 28:22look for these. They have a plus and a minus on the label.
- 28:26All right, Uh, into the things with alcohol we've been people have been
- 28:30asking for this smoke wagon out of Nevada for several years now. This is
- 28:34a bourbon. We have several, uh several styles. I brought the uncut,
- 28:40unfiltered, straight bourbon whiskey. About that. That's an impressive bottle.
- 28:45These are great bourbons, great whiskeyes. Uh So if you're looking for some
- 28:48gifts for you know that hard to shop, yes, person, Uh,
- 28:52you know obviously bourbons are white hot right now. Smoke Wigan's brand new to
- 28:56North Dakota, so give that. When I shot this one, this expression
- 28:59retails around three bucks. They go up to and you know, wow,
- 29:02eighty And I know you can't see the bottle, but it's an impressive bottle
- 29:04and it is would make for a good gift. Put a little red boat
- 29:07it's ribbon around it, and I see this, I kind of want to
- 29:10just take the cork out with me, yes, and put a mark in
- 29:12the bottle like they would do all less. Yeah, brig here and that's
- 29:15it. The bottle reminds me of my grandpa's cologne bottles that we found and
- 29:18that the ones that are like shaped like cars, and it's really cool.
- 29:22They work one hundred percent of the time. Fifty legal and non countries.
- 29:29Anchorman Classic Absolutely, yes, they should have did an Anchorman Christmas version.
- 29:33That would have been fantastic. They should they really should have. They should
- 29:37just keeping because too was very good. Was if some people say, oh,
- 29:40the one never saw it, it's a good sequel. It is.
- 29:42We were just talking about Eddie Murphy doing what is it, Beverly Hills Copp.
- 29:45Yeah, yeah, so I'm a I'm a sucker for a sequel.
- 29:48I just like to see the I don't. It doesn't need to be as
- 29:51good as a first wonder. I just like to see the characters. It
- 29:53just can't be bad like that. It has to. It has to give
- 29:56you some feeling, like you know what that was? That was pretty cheap,
- 30:00but I liked it. Yeah, And sometimes it's just sort of it's
- 30:03like when you see your favorite rock stars age. Sometimes it's sort of sad,
- 30:06like dumb and number two for example, Hindsight probably didn't need it,
- 30:11you know what I mean? But gotcha. Well, that's why we have
- 30:12buildings full of adult beverages. That's right. Some creams here, now,
- 30:18I I've poured you some some sampling smells amazing here. The first one is
- 30:23the old smoky uh mint chocolate chip cream. This thing is if I mean,
- 30:30if you don't like mint, then don't get out of here. But
- 30:33it tastes like your melted mint chocolate cream cream ice cream. That that the
- 30:38whiskey is very subtle in it. You guys are tasting it at room temper.
- 30:41Here we go, well, what that is very good? You can
- 30:48just do. The creaminess of it is renowned. Now there are big players
- 30:52and like the cream liqueur, right, they have total smoking. Yes,
- 30:56they have so many different things, but this is their uh merrio chip cream.
- 30:59It doesn't I'm in that mason jar comes more in there yeah, kind
- 31:03of tall, yep than why but it goes in creamy and then the aftertastes
- 31:08are just that mint hit that men hints your nerrows very all. Right,
- 31:11now you guys are ready for the next one, which is the Jackson Morgan
- 31:15Southern cream, brown sugar and cinnamon. Now there's a flavor, but those
- 31:18two things together just you can't be bad. Here we go, put this
- 31:22on my oat meal. M Oh, that's the stuff. Yeah, same
- 31:29thing comes in comes in hot with the brown sugar. Yeah, and that
- 31:32cinnamon finish. If you would have this before the other one that I think
- 31:34this would overpower yeah, the chocolate chip mant But these Jackson Morgan flavors and
- 31:40expressions are incredible. We were actually out of them for a few weeks and
- 31:44people were going nuts. And now they're back in stock with a new flavor.
- 31:47Oh now my breath tastes good. I can kiss my wife when I
- 31:49get home. You're lucky her. Your breast is like a dessert. Yes,
- 31:53And then with shots from Cardi B. We just got the peppermint in
- 31:57stock, so Cardi B. So if you want the whip cream with alcohol,
- 32:01we have the mulcha, the vanilla. We had the pumpkin spice.
- 32:05I think that's gone. There's a caramel, and there's a peppermint. So
- 32:07if you're doing, you know, a hot chocolate bar or something, this
- 32:09would become for the adults. So then the door of the fridge and you
- 32:15don't refrigerate these? Really, no, you don't refrigerate these, can you?
- 32:20Or you're not supposed to. You're not supposed to. You're not supposed
- 32:22to. Okay, good to know that messes with something in the subtleings what
- 32:25I'm told don't and it says right on there, don't refrigerate, do not
- 32:30any like butter, You're not supposed to refrigerate it. Yeah, but these
- 32:34are ten percent so that alcohol certainly. Is you know at all that you're
- 32:37not having a peppermint whipped cream plane. You know that there's some into it.
- 32:42It's got a little bite, interesting and then fun. Little veno here.
- 32:45I brought in the vd R very dark red Blend of Monoe. So
- 32:51this is a great in eighteen eighty nine red wine gift or just for burgers,
- 32:55pizza, spaghetti, whatever. It's just a fun new red wine in
- 33:00very dark red. So is it going to be a different taste profile than
- 33:04just like a normal red blend or red one. I think it's just marketing.
- 33:07It's just marketing a good red blend. Okay, very dark probably is
- 33:10just a way to get you to use your imagination to think, sure,
- 33:14that's savory and succulent and good. Feels like wintertime. When you say very
- 33:20dark red, yeah, it doesn't seem like you would have this like July
- 33:22seven. Yeah, no, and take that down. So we do have
- 33:29tons of gift sets left. We have lots of store pick bourbon barrels.
- 33:34So if you're looking for for various bourbons, we have a lot of them
- 33:36in stock. Our team does an amazing job selecting those people actually seek out
- 33:39our store picks so there's just lots of good gifts, so stop in.
- 33:44If you're thinking about something and you're on the fence, you might want to
- 33:47make that decision sooner rather than later. So when you come in, when
- 33:51you've gotten off the fence and then we're out, I don't need to be
- 33:53sad. Yes, And it's a like you said, for people that you
- 33:58don't you know, do I need to get them another time or whatever?
- 34:00It's the perfect gift. Or if you're doing like holiday parties and you do
- 34:02like the secret center or the white Elephant gift, right, what a perfect
- 34:06I mean, that's gonna be a hot item at the holiday party, oh
- 34:07for sure. And then we have you know, the fireball candy canes.
- 34:10Those are for those party buses or if you go into somebody's Christmas party and
- 34:15you they say don't bring any gifts, you know, help, Hey,
- 34:19I got some frozen fireball candy cane. Here we go and everybody goes crazy.
- 34:22So so exactly, well, Dustin, it's been a pleasure. We're
- 34:27going to post this, by the way, on the Big ninetywo point seven
- 34:29facebook page if you want to see the photos and the description, so you
- 34:31know what you're going and getting into at the old Happy Harry's bottle shops.
- 34:35Perfect. You guys have a great weekend. Thank you, you took
