- 0:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna now give you a legal and this legit, Okay,
- 0:16Speaker 2: a complete defense to any accusation is the truth. If
- 0:22Speaker 2: it is the truth, I cannot be sued for defamation.
- 0:27Speaker 3: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:31Speaker 3: Bill handle, good morning, everybody.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Handle here on a Tuesday morning Taco Tuesday, May twelfth.
- 0:39Speaker 2: By the way, that promo reference to the absolute truth
- 0:43Speaker 2: is in defense to a defamation suit. I was referring
- 0:48Speaker 2: to Kono's let's just say, his drinking hobby, of which
- 0:54Speaker 2: she spends a very dedicated amount of time and volume. Okay, everybody,
- 1:02Speaker 2: Cono doesn't even bother anymore. He's not even just refuting moderation. Yeah,
- 1:08Speaker 2: that's yeah, that's fine. Handle whatever you say so much
- 1:11Speaker 2: for that. All right, good morning, Cono, Good morning Bill,
- 1:14Speaker 2: and will there you are? Good morning and uh oh Amy,
- 1:19Speaker 2: Amy's back.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Played.
- 1:22Speaker 4: I never went anywhere, that's correct.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And there's Anne here.
- 1:27Speaker 2: We're gonna have Ann join me today in one of
- 1:29Speaker 2: the topics wait to do later on and that's it.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Eight fifty An experience or two that she has had,
- 1:36Speaker 2: and then Neil Neil is back, Yes, sir.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Good, Okay, Uh did you mention? Did you say that
- 1:42Speaker 3: I was having kidney issues? Yesterday?
- 1:44Speaker 2: I said, your kidney's about to explode. But I wouldn't
- 1:47Speaker 2: say it was kidney issues.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Okay, because you know that my kidney, my lovely beautiful
- 1:52Speaker 3: angel Julie Kidney Donor listens. Yeah, so I got a text. Yeah,
- 1:59Speaker 3: I'm like, nope, her kidney is the only thing in
- 2:01Speaker 3: my body that works.
- 2:02Speaker 2: That's a good point. And the two of you have
- 2:05Speaker 2: two kidneys between the two of you.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yes, I have a female kidney. I said, yes, you do.
- 2:12Speaker 3: You ask me how I'm doing, I go, I'm fine, fine, Yes, exactly.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It didn't.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I don't think I had much to do with your kidney.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I think you just had the cruds. Yeah, no, it's
- 2:23Speaker 2: just it did have the haunt of virus?
- 2:27Speaker 3: No, probably no. Oh geez, Like, isn't it like more
- 2:31Speaker 3: rational to think I'm going to get hit by lightning
- 2:33Speaker 3: than to think that I'm going to get the haunt
- 2:36Speaker 3: of virus? Yeah?
- 2:36Speaker 2: Pretty low, pretty low unless you were on that ship.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I think that such a big deal is being made
- 2:42Speaker 2: of this. I said this earlier, right, I personally, I
- 2:46Speaker 2: think a bigger deal is being made of this than
- 2:49Speaker 2: should be.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Oh sorry, that was a perfect time.
- 2:56Speaker 5: That's all right, Lloyd and Mary.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Where we go looking for things to be miser about,
- 3:04Speaker 3: miserable about it? These days were just.
- 3:08Speaker 2: As if we don't have as if we don't have
- 3:10Speaker 2: things about. All right, let's do we already talked about
- 3:15Speaker 2: Mother's Day? Uh, And I had a great time with
- 3:19Speaker 2: my mom. She didn't speak much, but uh, it was
- 3:22Speaker 2: a quiet time where I visited her.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And uh, what else? You know, you've been getting a
- 3:31Speaker 3: lot of pushback on the way you talk about your
- 3:36Speaker 3: mom on the talkbacks.
- 3:39Speaker 2: She's not complaining, so why shouldn't anybody else?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Boy?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Okay, moving on, If that's okay with you, let's do it.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Weird start of the morning, isn't it weird? Did I
- 3:54Speaker 2: say good morning to you?
- 3:55Speaker 3: Will?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yes? I always forget if I say good morning, that's
- 3:59Speaker 2: how important you are my life will because the second
- 4:02Speaker 2: I say good morning, you disappear from my life.
- 4:05Speaker 3: There we go. I thought about you yesterday I was
- 4:07Speaker 3: at Disneyland, and now my feet hurt.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's one thing you do Amy,
- 4:13Speaker 2: what did do we do? We walked what seven and
- 4:16Speaker 2: a half eight miles?
- 4:19Speaker 4: Was it that much? I think it's about fifteen thousand
- 4:21Speaker 4: steps so maybe more?
- 4:24Speaker 3: Oh yeah, ten thousand steps.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah we did good?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yeah? Wow.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Okay, anyway, so Will's feet hurt fair enough, let's do it, guys.
- 4:38Speaker 2: We've got plenty to cover today as always, so it's
- 4:41Speaker 2: time for Handle on the News with Amy. Neil is
- 4:44Speaker 2: here and me Lee story. Well, President Lee's today for Beijing,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and he's flying on the Panda Express and he is
- 4:56Speaker 2: going to meet with actually funny, thank you. I don't
- 5:01Speaker 2: get that from you very much. Okay, that's true. You
- 5:07Speaker 2: have been sick, so you're a little bit open.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I may find you funny. Yeah, that's true.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Anyway, he's going to meet with President G and President
- 5:17Speaker 2: G is holding all the cards. I tell you right now,
- 5:21Speaker 2: the President is not coming there with strength because we're
- 5:26Speaker 2: looking at the balance of trade issue. The Iran issue
- 5:30Speaker 2: is really tough because Iran is an ally and Russia
- 5:35Speaker 2: is an ally of Iran. Iran produces what ninety percent
- 5:40Speaker 2: of Iranian oil goes to Russia.
- 5:42Speaker 3: So it's going to be really.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Interesting to see what happens and I think, no matter
- 5:47Speaker 2: what happens, I mean, it's a win for the president.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Just you know, just ask him. It doesn't matter what
- 5:54Speaker 2: it is. It's all a win. Gas prices are a win.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Did you know that?
- 5:59Speaker 2: And they're gonna like a rock. Oh there's a great story.
- 6:02Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna do later what a transportation secretary
- 6:07Speaker 2: or Hassett said about credit cards.
- 6:11Speaker 3: It is a hilarious quote that I'm gonna give you.
- 6:13Speaker 2: But anyway, off he goes to the White House, or
- 6:17Speaker 2: off he goes to see President g That's a long
- 6:19Speaker 2: flight Washington, d C.
- 6:21Speaker 3: To China.
- 6:22Speaker 2: That has to be fifteen sixteen hours in the air. Now, granted,
- 6:27Speaker 2: Air Force one is not a bad way to fly.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But you can't go outside for a breath of fresh air.
- 6:33Speaker 3: You can't.
- 6:34Speaker 2: You're kind of stuck there, huh in the plane.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah you are.
- 6:42Speaker 2: But you know, I you know, you have your own bedroom,
- 6:43Speaker 2: really nice bedroom. You have that bathroom which looks like
- 6:47Speaker 2: a hotel bathroom, and ain't bad it really.
- 6:49Speaker 4: It's not like he's flying economy. No, given just a
- 6:54Speaker 4: little more time, the Supreme Court's gonna leave women's access
- 7:00Speaker 4: to the abortion pill. Myth of press stone, and they're
- 7:04Speaker 4: going to leave it wide open while they continue to
- 7:08Speaker 4: consider whether to allow restrictions on the drug. So they
- 7:11Speaker 4: had put a pause on these restrictions. They were supposed
- 7:16Speaker 4: to run out today, but they've pushed it back again
- 7:19Speaker 4: and now it's until Thursday. Just as Samuel Alito's order
- 7:23Speaker 4: allows women seeking abortions to continue getting the pill at
- 7:26Speaker 4: pharmacies or through the male without an in person visit
- 7:30Speaker 4: to a doctor.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Or now and I think the court's going to go
- 7:35Speaker 2: to making the drug illegal. He's going to back up
- 7:40Speaker 2: Louisiana and saying there will be no mefiristone sent into
- 7:44Speaker 2: by mail into Louisiana, and anybody who wants to take
- 7:49Speaker 2: it it's already there in Louisiana, must see a doctor
- 7:53Speaker 2: in person, has to see a doctor, and has to
- 7:56Speaker 2: be prescribed the pill. So they make it very, very difficult.
- 8:00Speaker 2: And there have been attempts prior to Row. If you
- 8:03Speaker 2: look at the lawsuits that were filed to limit abortion,
- 8:07Speaker 2: some were completely crazy. Some laws that were passed, one
- 8:12Speaker 2: of them being, for example, that an abortion clinic had
- 8:16Speaker 2: to be within thirty miles of a hospital and had
- 8:19Speaker 2: to meet the hospital standards. It's an outpatient procedure, but
- 8:25Speaker 2: in cases of abortion it had to have the same
- 8:30Speaker 2: levels as hospitals, and there were far far more dangerous
- 8:35Speaker 2: or riskier procedures operations that didn't need to do that.
- 8:38Speaker 2: So anyway, we'll see what happens. I think Louisiana is
- 8:41Speaker 2: going to prevail on this with the Supreme Court had to.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Guess Louisiana, does she need to bring her brother to
- 8:46Speaker 3: so both parents are there, that's a good.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Point, or does she need and does she bring her
- 8:53Speaker 2: brother and her husband being one and the same person?
- 8:56Speaker 3: Okay, moving on, boy, I remember and we were hard
- 9:01Speaker 3: on commies Eileen Wang and our Katia City leader facing charges.
- 9:07Speaker 3: We've talked about this in the past of acting as
- 9:10Speaker 3: an illegal foreign agent of Chana. She resigned Monday after
- 9:15Speaker 3: reaching an agreement to resolve the federal case. She who
- 9:19Speaker 3: was she was previously elected to the city council that
- 9:21Speaker 3: was back in twenty twenty two, stepped down as mayor
- 9:24Speaker 3: on Monday, hours after plead agreement was unsealed. So the
- 9:31Speaker 3: officials and Wang's attorneys said her the conduct described by
- 9:35Speaker 3: federal authorities occurred before Wayne was elected. Maximum sentence for
- 9:40Speaker 3: the charges ten years in prison. She was acting as
- 9:44Speaker 3: an agent of China.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you can't do that in the United States,
- 9:48Speaker 2: the unregistered agent in the United States. That is a
- 9:53Speaker 2: very fairy big deal. Yeah, ten years in prison, that's
- 9:57Speaker 2: been ten years. Yeah, I'm telling you, they take it.
- 10:00Speaker 2: The FEDS take this very seriously. That doesn't sound serious
- 10:03Speaker 2: to me. Well, no, ten years sounds like a pretty
- 10:08Speaker 2: good healthy sentence. Now, was she going to get ten years?
- 10:10Speaker 2: Probably not, because that's the max. And so I don't
- 10:14Speaker 2: even know what the the standards are. I mean, there's
- 10:19Speaker 2: a formula at the court follows indicated sentence things.
- 10:23Speaker 3: So I don't think she's going to get ten years.
- 10:24Speaker 3: But it's a big deal.
- 10:25Speaker 2: A couple of things in America, man, I got to
- 10:27Speaker 2: tell you, the laws go way way beyond other countries,
- 10:31Speaker 2: one of them being registered unregistered agent of a foreign country.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Insider trading is insane. How careful the US is about that.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Other countries don't even bother with that.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Got to get those prices down. President Trump says he
- 10:46Speaker 4: wants to suspend the federal gas tax while the Iran
- 10:50Speaker 4: war continues to push pump prices higher and higher. He said,
- 10:55Speaker 4: stopping the gas tax temporarily is a small percentage, but
- 10:59Speaker 4: you know, it's still money. So federal taxes are eighteen
- 11:02Speaker 4: point three cents a gallon for gas and twenty four
- 11:06Speaker 4: point three cents per gallon for diesel. But he can't
- 11:11Speaker 4: do it alone. It has to be done by Congress.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Yeah, but Congress is going to pass it anything the
- 11:15Speaker 2: president wants, of course.
- 11:16Speaker 4: So well except Soon came out yesterday and said I
- 11:18Speaker 4: don't like it.
- 11:19Speaker 2: He said, I don't like it, but I'm willing to listen.
- 11:22Speaker 2: And when the president you watch, you watch now, And
- 11:26Speaker 2: maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. I'm rarely wrong. Matter
- 11:29Speaker 2: of fact, I'm very rarely wrong, almost never, quite often. Okay, anyway,
- 11:34Speaker 2: I have here. Yeah, one thing I disagree with the president.
- 11:37Speaker 2: He said it's a small percentage. Eighteen cents a gallon
- 11:41Speaker 2: is not a small percentage.
- 11:42Speaker 3: That is a healthy hit.
- 11:45Speaker 2: So eliminating the federal tax now eighteen cents a gallon
- 11:50Speaker 2: for us in California, Well that may.
- 11:53Speaker 3: If Newsome can take a lead from or take a
- 11:57Speaker 3: hint from Trump and get rid of those crappy two
- 12:02Speaker 3: dollars taxes or whatever we can. Yeah, No, they're pretty high.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I think, Well, here just to give you. I'm looking
- 12:06Speaker 2: at a list here, and California, of course, the most
- 12:10Speaker 2: expensive gas. We average in California over six dollars a gallon.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Alaska is a little over five dollars a gallon. And
- 12:19Speaker 2: then we go through the rest of the country Iowa
- 12:22Speaker 2: under five, Idaho under five, substantially, Colorado under five, and
- 12:27Speaker 2: we're at way over six.
- 12:29Speaker 3: California is the outlier. And it has nothing to do
- 12:32Speaker 3: with Trump. He just pushed it more high.
- 12:34Speaker 2: No, I'm not arguing that not only the state is
- 12:37Speaker 2: the state. Absolutely, I'm not even saying that it hasn't
- 12:39Speaker 2: anything to do with the Trump. You mentioned state taxes,
- 12:42Speaker 2: and I agree.
- 12:43Speaker 3: I wish they just just for the time, for the
- 12:45Speaker 3: time being, just kind of stop them.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that's well, We're going to talk a little bit
- 12:50Speaker 2: more about that later on because that is a big
- 12:52Speaker 2: hit to the Highway Trust Fund. So we got to
- 12:56Speaker 2: the point where we don't trust our highways.
- 12:58Speaker 3: So good, all right on, So this one we've talked
- 13:02Speaker 3: about a lot. You know, its handle about being fearful
- 13:07Speaker 3: of these types of things, But the truth of the
- 13:09Speaker 3: matter is Trump uses the FCC as a weapon, period,
- 13:14Speaker 3: and we don't even need a whistleblower to tell us
- 13:18Speaker 3: this ABC has been a victim of sustained, coordinated campaign
- 13:23Speaker 3: of censorship and control by the Trump administration. The Federal
- 13:27Speaker 3: Communications Commissioner Anna Gomez, who happens to be the only Democratic,
- 13:33Speaker 3: she's the lone Democratic commissioner, very outspoken as a critic
- 13:39Speaker 3: of many of Carr's action. Of course, her boss Brendan Carr.
- 13:43Speaker 3: But she wrote a note apparently to Josh Tomorrow, who's
- 13:49Speaker 3: the new chief executive of Disney and the network's parent
- 13:53Speaker 3: company there. So it's basically she told them what we
- 13:57Speaker 3: all know that it's being WEAPONI in the FCC is
- 14:01Speaker 3: trying to bully ABC.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, saying you either fire Jimmy Kimmel or we're
- 14:07Speaker 2: going after but they're going after the license anyway. Uh,
- 14:10Speaker 2: the that's with the Feds or the I.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Say, we split the difference, leave Jimmy alone and get
- 14:15Speaker 3: rid of the view. Uh yeah. And they're also arguing
- 14:18Speaker 3: about the view. It's it's uh, you say you got
- 14:21Speaker 3: to get rid of the view.
- 14:22Speaker 2: The bottom line is anybody who speaks ill of the
- 14:24Speaker 2: administration or Trump personally is on the chopping block with
- 14:28Speaker 2: any kind of federal oversight and.
- 14:32Speaker 3: You know, what do you do about that? Yeah, you
- 14:34Speaker 3: know they have the power.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Now, can you imagine if ABC's license licenses were yanked?
- 14:41Speaker 3: Oh man, can you imagine.
- 14:44Speaker 2: How many how many Republicans you think would go crazy?
- 14:48Speaker 2: Or would they line up? Would they line up? And
- 14:53Speaker 2: I don't know the answer to that. I don't know
- 14:55Speaker 2: the answer.
- 14:56Speaker 3: I'm hoping.
- 14:56Speaker 2: There are a few things that go over the line,
- 14:59Speaker 2: and one shutting down a network or the network station's
- 15:03Speaker 2: O and O owned and operated, and stay.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Talking about it to me is anathema. I mean, well,
- 15:11Speaker 3: it's it's happening.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I mean there at this point, an investigation of ABC
- 15:15Speaker 2: is right now open. Not anybody, not any other network,
- 15:19Speaker 2: just ABC. All right, we'll see, all right, good news
- 15:26Speaker 2: on the my oral forum, which this is, this is
- 15:32Speaker 2: right up my alley, Amy, in terms of not watching it,
- 15:36Speaker 2: they beat me to it.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Oh yeah, because maybe Bass chickened out. So there was
- 15:42Speaker 4: a televised forum planned for tomorrow for the mayor candidate,
- 15:50Speaker 4: but over the weekend Mayor Bass said, oh gosh, I
- 15:54Speaker 4: can't go. I got to back out. I got to
- 15:56Speaker 4: be in Sacramento. She had previously committed to participating in
- 15:59Speaker 4: the forum. Spencer Pratt already had said that he couldn't
- 16:03Speaker 4: participate because of a scheduling conflict, and so then yesterday
- 16:07Speaker 4: Nathia Rahman, the city council woman, dropped out because she
- 16:11Speaker 4: said the main reason she would participate would be to
- 16:15Speaker 4: go toe to toe with Bass. So that leaves Ray
- 16:18Speaker 4: Huang and tech entrepreneur Adam Miller. So they canceled it.
- 16:22Speaker 2: They canceled it well, and then there were they had
- 16:24Speaker 2: invited an assistant manager at Burger King to join the
- 16:29Speaker 2: debate and a little and he couldn't make it either.
- 16:33Speaker 2: He said, now I have to cover a shift, all right.
- 16:36Speaker 3: So NBC Universal has signed off on a TV adaptation
- 16:40Speaker 3: of the popular New York Times puzzle wordle fun to Say,
- 16:45Speaker 3: Fun to Play that will be hosted by Savannah Guthrie.
- 16:50Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, so the Jimmy Fallon, who
- 16:53Speaker 3: has a producing company, is co producing the show, and
- 16:57Speaker 3: Guthrie announced the series pick up just yesterday on The
- 17:01Speaker 3: Today Show. So it's going to start to production later
- 17:06Speaker 3: this year. It'll debut on NBC in twenty twenty seven.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Now do you find a little bit ironic since the
- 17:15Speaker 2: wordal word disappears every day that it was Savannah.
- 17:22Speaker 3: No okay, no, no, no bad dog bad okay moving,
- 17:31Speaker 3: She's Louise.
- 17:34Speaker 4: OnlyFans creator is only a killer An OnlyFans creator was
- 17:41Speaker 4: filming a BDSM fetish session for her followers by gluing
- 17:47Speaker 4: a woman's boots onto a man's feet and then binding
- 17:50Speaker 4: him in saran wrap. Michael Dale lay in his home
- 17:55Speaker 4: in Escadido, Escunddo with a plastic bag wrapped around his head,
- 18:00Speaker 4: sealed with duct tape for at least eight minutes as
- 18:03Speaker 4: Mikayla railers down, vibrator in hand, kept the cameras rolling.
- 18:09Speaker 4: She only called nine to one one when he started
- 18:11Speaker 4: turning blue, and by then it was too late.
- 18:14Speaker 2: There are two sides to that coin, you know. No,
- 18:19Speaker 2: go back to bed, and who are we, incidentally to
- 18:23Speaker 2: argue with someone else's foreplay?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Isn't it just none of your business? I'm not a prude,
- 18:28Speaker 3: binding stretch of the imagination. But isn't just basic, wonderful
- 18:33Speaker 3: connective sex pretty darn good onto itself?
- 18:38Speaker 2: Are you kidding?
- 18:38Speaker 3: Connective sex?
- 18:39Speaker 2: This was super glue that she used to glue her.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Feet to his face. Wow, okay, okay, all right, well
- 18:50Speaker 3: let's go to some you know, political news that has
- 18:54Speaker 3: nothing to do with us here in the States. Really,
- 18:57Speaker 3: dozens of Labor Party law makers called on Prime Minister
- 19:01Speaker 3: Stormer to resign on Monday. This is rejecting their leader's
- 19:06Speaker 3: efforts to kind of quell this mutiny in the party
- 19:10Speaker 3: ranks and raising the likelihood of, you know, a pretty
- 19:14Speaker 3: pretty major leadership battle there. So by the end of yesterday,
- 19:18Speaker 3: news organizations tallied more than seventy Labor lawmakers who publicly
- 19:23Speaker 3: said they wanted a fresh start. And we'll see what
- 19:28Speaker 3: ends up happening.
- 19:29Speaker 2: My guy daughter, who you know, Jenny Les, who's a
- 19:33Speaker 2: brit and her parents and her a lot of her
- 19:36Speaker 2: friends live in Britain, although she lives here in the
- 19:39Speaker 2: United States. She talks about Starmer. He is so deeply
- 19:44Speaker 2: hated that they're looking at the Labor Party just basically
- 19:51Speaker 2: getting skewered in the next election. And you got a
- 19:54Speaker 2: lot of lawmakers part of the Labor Party you're saying, hey, resign, resign,
- 19:58Speaker 2: get the hell out of there, although they vote a
- 20:01Speaker 2: no contest vote or no confidence vote and get them out. So,
- 20:05Speaker 2: I mean, it's crazy going on over there.
- 20:11Speaker 4: If Trump wants it, someone wants it not to happen
- 20:17Speaker 4: pretty standard. Trump administration wants to paint the Lincoln Memorial's
- 20:21Speaker 4: reflecting pool. It has long featured a gray basin, but
- 20:24Speaker 4: they want to make it blue. The lawsuit, filed in
- 20:27Speaker 4: federal court in Washington, d c. By the Cultural Landscape
- 20:30Speaker 4: Foundation argues the project violates federal laws that require the
- 20:35Speaker 4: Interior Department to complete a consultation process that includes notifying
- 20:39Speaker 4: the public of plans and getting input from other federal
- 20:42Speaker 4: agents before beginning the work. In the lawsuit, the founder
- 20:46Speaker 4: of the Cultural Landscape Foundation, or actually the president and CEO,
- 20:52Speaker 4: says a blue tinted basin is more appropriate for a
- 20:54Speaker 4: theme or resort park.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Be happy this commission should be happy that the administration
- 21:04Speaker 2: is not arguing for a giant portrait of the president
- 21:08Speaker 2: at the bottom of the.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Pool or painting it red.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Yes, orange, yeah, yeah, But what's the purpose?
- 21:15Speaker 3: Why change it?
- 21:16Speaker 2: Because he wants to change it.
- 21:17Speaker 5: I mean, he wants to make it look pretty, yeah,
- 21:20Speaker 5: and he wants to And what he wants to do
- 21:23Speaker 5: is put his stamp on everything in the Capitol so
- 21:28Speaker 5: that when he leaves, everything will be Trump.
- 21:31Speaker 2: And I just think that blue sometimes can be God,
- 21:34Speaker 2: You're not arguing that I agree.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I think blue is great. I don't have a problem
- 21:37Speaker 3: I'm playing in this sense. It seems like I think
- 21:40Speaker 3: the response is kind of appropriate that I mean, Gray.
- 21:44Speaker 4: You're saying that Trump is gotdi no.
- 21:47Speaker 2: No, But it's by the way, I don't disagree.
- 21:50Speaker 3: I would vote for a blue pool.
- 21:52Speaker 2: But the point is I would vote, and there are
- 21:56Speaker 2: laws that commissions have to be involved, and there has
- 21:59Speaker 2: to be input, and there just isn't any.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Listen. I do think he wants everybody says no to
- 22:05Speaker 3: but I don't understand this particular one. That's what I'm saying.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I think it's more the process. How he wakes up
- 22:13Speaker 2: in the morning and says, this is what I'm going
- 22:15Speaker 2: to do, notwithstanding law, commissions, none of that, just ignoring
- 22:20Speaker 2: all of that, any controls.
- 22:22Speaker 3: What's paper work, It's all paperwork. Yeah, it's a good point,
- 22:25Speaker 3: all right. Former Dodgers pitcher Scott Erickson was on the
- 22:29Speaker 3: stand yesterday in that horrible case dealing with Rebecca Grossman
- 22:34Speaker 3: killing those two young brothers with their Mercedes in Westlake
- 22:38Speaker 3: Village crosswalk. He says he wasn't racing her. If you remember,
- 22:43Speaker 3: it involved two vehicles and Scott was in one of them,
- 22:47Speaker 3: Rebecca was in the other. They were then lovers at
- 22:53Speaker 3: the time, and Erickson, on the stand, wanted to refute
- 22:57Speaker 3: claims by the family of Grossman's victims that he and
- 23:00Speaker 3: Grossman were racing when she hit Mark and Jacob is
- 23:05Speaker 3: Candor eleven and eight years old. However, shut the hell up, dude,
- 23:10Speaker 3: because he also admitted he deleted numerous messages he exchanged
- 23:15Speaker 3: with Grossman after she hit the boys. He also admitted
- 23:18Speaker 3: that when police asked him to turn over the Mercedes
- 23:22Speaker 3: he was driving the day of the crash, he gave
- 23:24Speaker 3: them another vehicle. So why trust this guy at all?
- 23:27Speaker 2: Ye not suspicious, Not suspicious at all.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, just shut the hell up. You guys were
- 23:32Speaker 3: being stupid, probably drinking, and just shut up. Yeap.
- 23:39Speaker 4: She cruised right over the edge. A Carnival Cruise Line
- 23:44Speaker 4: guest has died after driving her scooter off the pier
- 23:50Speaker 4: at the private Bahamas destination. It happened May ninth. The
- 23:54Speaker 4: Carnival celebration was visiting and she went off the over
- 24:00Speaker 4: the edge of the pier. They gut her out, but
- 24:02Speaker 4: they couldn't resuscitate her.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Carnival did say that they were delighted they were
- 24:09Speaker 2: able to rescue the scooter, they were able to bring
- 24:12Speaker 2: it out of the water.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know what this says, but a large
- 24:20Speaker 3: investor in Mattel is asking the toymaker to sell itself
- 24:24Speaker 3: to a big investor and take its shares off the
- 24:27Speaker 3: stock market. Is that usually a good thing that always
- 24:31Speaker 3: ends up in like the pen selling pieces of it
- 24:33Speaker 3: or not? Well, no, this is some pieces. No, this
- 24:35Speaker 3: is a whole company. I get it, But like, does
- 24:39Speaker 3: anybody ever treat it the same when it goes in
- 24:42Speaker 3: that direction? But Southeastern is asset management, which oversees four
- 24:47Speaker 3: percent of Mattel stock. Set in this letter released last week,
- 24:51Speaker 3: the company would be better off if it was owned
- 24:54Speaker 3: by a private equity firm.
- 24:56Speaker 2: And it depends on the company, depends on how much
- 25:00Speaker 2: trouble that Matella is in, depends on how low the
- 25:03Speaker 2: stock goes, It depends, it depends on how the management
- 25:07Speaker 2: is doing its job. And then there are people that
- 25:09Speaker 2: come in and say, we can do a whole lot
- 25:10Speaker 2: better and we can make more money, and then we
- 25:12Speaker 2: can sell it at a better price.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it happens all the time, but that's all making
- 25:17Speaker 3: better toys. That's about them, you know, making managing it better.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Imagine but maybe but maybe making better but maybe making
- 25:25Speaker 2: better toys.
- 25:25Speaker 3: That's one of the reasons they need to find. They
- 25:29Speaker 3: need to find a kid who wished to be big,
- 25:33Speaker 3: and then that kid goes and he works at a
- 25:35Speaker 3: toy company because of his insight, because he's a kid.
- 25:39Speaker 3: But magically, because of the Zoltar on the pier, he
- 25:44Speaker 3: can give them insights that they couldn't get elsewhere. Very well,
- 25:47Speaker 3: little adult woman, which was really creepy. But anyways, Okay.
- 25:52Speaker 4: That was creepy when you think about it.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, don't go back.
- 25:56Speaker 4: It was cute at the time, but now that you
- 25:58Speaker 4: can think about it.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Yeah, little weird.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Oh all clear. So Magic Mountain getting ready to open
- 26:07Speaker 4: for business yesterday when somebody called in a bomb threat,
- 26:11Speaker 4: so they said, yep, not opening, called in the sheriff's departments,
- 26:16Speaker 4: did sweeps a couple hours. It took them to make
- 26:19Speaker 4: sure that there was nothing there, determined there was no threat,
- 26:22Speaker 4: and then the park reopened. But it had to open,
- 26:24Speaker 4: you know a few hours late, so fewer rides for
- 26:28Speaker 4: the guests.
- 26:30Speaker 6: Everything's okay, Yeah, I'm not a big Magic Mountain fan.
- 26:33Speaker 6: So you know, I don't I have to take it
- 26:37Speaker 6: to Magic Mountain now, Yeah.
- 26:40Speaker 2: You know, it's It's just not one of my favorite places.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I remember there used to be a lot of gang
- 26:45Speaker 2: bangers at Magic Mountain. Not so much anymore. I'm a
- 26:48Speaker 2: security gang gang, gang bangers. Gang bangers, yeah, gang bangers,
- 26:54Speaker 2: gang ganger bangers.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay.
- 26:59Speaker 4: The roller coasters are just too big and scary for me.
- 27:01Speaker 3: They are very scary. Last time Bill, I was at
- 27:04Speaker 3: Magic Mountain, was with you when the Superman ride opened,
- 27:09Speaker 3: and that's right together, that's right.
- 27:11Speaker 2: And then they renamed it too, it was the Vomitron,
- 27:15Speaker 2: and I thought that was absolutely appropriate.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Okay, we're done. Guys coming up.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Do you remember when you were in third or fourth
- 27:27Speaker 2: grade and whoever won the presidency of the grade always
- 27:33Speaker 2: promised to free pizza on Fridays. Well, that's exactly what's
- 27:38Speaker 2: going on now with the governor's race. Free pizza for
- 27:42Speaker 2: everybody in California. And I'll dive into that when we
- 27:46Speaker 2: come back. This is KFI AM six forty more stimulating
