- 0:35SPEAKER_00: I gotta make another jug.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Two or three.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: I feel like a pirate.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: If you want to bring me a jug when you come visit me, I won't say no.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I'm pretty sure that might violate the um TSA three-ounce rule.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Fine.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, um, fine.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: I'll just have everything here and you just get to get in.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Okay, we could do that.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: That might be uh actually easier.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Imagine like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: It's great sangria.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: You could uh take it right through and then I get on the plane and I drop it.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Like Kevin with his chili.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I like these to just turn around and go back.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Uh you could bring me canoe, you could bring me cannolis and lobster tails, though, from Monte Leones.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: I'm just joking.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: It's actually a pretty Are they even still there?
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: I don't want those bakeries shut down.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Maybe it was court pastry.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: There's still there's actually a pretty good Italian bakery in Milwaukee.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, as your Italian friend, I'll have to be the judge of that.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't eat that many pastries, actually.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: And I used to work in a bakery.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's why you don't eat it.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: What?
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: That's why that's probably why you're like, I don't care.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: I worked in a famous bakery.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Um, who are you?
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes, and I'm drinking a chocolate espresso martini in a very chilled glass.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, I like that.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: That's okay.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: That's I feel so much less fancy.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Scorpiocious.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: I got something that could be made in a prison toilet, and you are like with bread.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: You need the yeast, obviously.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Ketchup.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: And and you got something in a chilled fucking glass.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 2:22unknown: Shh.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: I like to level up for you, Lisa.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: So, any hot takes?
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Although I'll like Are you here today, Lisa?
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm somewhere.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Um I'm sitting on a cloud.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Um, I thought I'm not a tea drinker, but I did think it was cute that Rio was drinking tea with his breakfast.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: I was like, that's like so like excited.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: He was like amazed over the hash browns.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Listen, I wanted a bite.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Same! I was like, and I got hash browns and a crispy.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: No, come on.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: That's like the best thing.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: A crispy hash brown.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Listen, I'm hungry.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: More so.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I'm always hungry.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: There's that.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Also.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Hmm.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, hold on.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, she's wetting her whistle and getting drunk at the same time.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: This is gonna be good.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: How is this bitch gonna cry about you're so broke and you don't know what you're gonna do next month, but you're still buying minions mac and cheese?
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Bitch, ain't you ever heard of a fucking store brand?
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Do you need me to come teach you how to shop while poor?
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Because I I could look at your dumbass grocery bill and be like, what the fuck, and why are we wasting so much money?
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Well, minions, not just not just minion, ninja turtles, too.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, obviously.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: My mistake.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Storebrand.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: And actually, in a lot of cases, the store brand tastes better.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: Tastes better.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: So it does.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: It's like half the price.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, like, I'm so sick and tired of people crying broke, I can't buy groceries, I can't buy groceries when everything you're buying is processed, pre-made, throw in a cup of water and a stick of butter, and it's done.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Like I know that I didn't grow up with a lot, but damn I got skills.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: And so maybe I got more because I could feed myself, like, on the budget.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: I could feed a family of five.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Meat, you know, starch, a vegetable, okay, for fifteen dollars or less.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: So Beth, take my number, okay?
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Get in touch.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't have any hot takes this episode.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you something.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: You know that you know shit is bad when the local drug dealer has a government shutdown.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: This was this was post-bailout.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: He was shit out of luck.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: So Beth wakes up at the wakes up and she hears.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: I heard like the animal scratching, a dog scratching, eating food.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: And it's probably like the nightmares of all nightmares and all her money.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: I didn't know what that dog was gonna be eating, to be quite honest.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: All the hidden money was gone.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: She accused Dean of stealing it, and she realized it was her boss.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: I would have felt Dean too.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: I was like, this fucking guy, he took her money.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: Um, but she clicked, but it clicked for her quite quickly.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: He's like, Well, who else knows about it?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: She's like, Yeah.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Smack right in the forehead.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Um, so the next scene is the crispy hash brown scene.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: That's forever what it's gonna be called.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: And with his tea, uh-huh, um, he goes, Yeah, we'll shut things down for a while.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: One of my boys got picked up, and when I feel the heat, I don't mess around.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Um, so wait, Beth is like, you took my money.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: He goes, Who money?
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Who are you talking about?
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: It's that is that who this wee shit.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Like she goes, Well, you took our cut too.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: And we worked our asses for that.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: He's like, it's a company wants shut down.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Closing costs, everybody's feeling the pain.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: Too bad you want to be a gangster.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: You ain't got no HR department.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: So cry my- Right.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Actually, it's a good thing he's a gangster because you don't have who you're gonna complain about.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: So, you know, it works out for him.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: When Beth asks for how long, Rio grimly answers to further notice.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: There was no severance, there was no heads up, not a notice.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Just take all the money and out.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: And do you file for unemployment?
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Just asking for a friend right after you get your letter from HR.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: Like you're right to the unemployment office.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: And surprise, surprise, the news does not go well with um Annie and Ruby.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: And for some reason, I don't remember how, but it gets compared.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: They talk about how long it's gonna be shut down.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: And then Annie shares how long she thinks they're gonna get a man on Mars.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: Because they're like, how long?
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: And she's like, I don't know, till there's a man on Mars.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: He goes, Well, that could happen a couple of years.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: She's like, I think they can.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: I feel like we're close.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Um, because they're becoming professionals in their gangster life, they're gonna tell the secret shoppers that the company is revamping, and they need to go back to going to work like dogs and slaves and getting shit.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: First of all, and Beth is smart, right?
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: So she should have been like, this is a 1099 kind of gig, okay?
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: When there's work, we'll outsource it to you.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: Sometimes there won't always be work, it ebbs and it flows.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: And so when they hit a snag, because you don't want these bitches to be too attached.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: You don't want them to come looking for work every week because what happens when you need to disappear?
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: So then she would have said, now, listen, it's a slow point and there's really no work to give out.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: But you know, we got your number.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: We'll call you.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, all right, cool.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: We knew that was gonna happen.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Lisa is ready for her gangster life right now.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: I'm ready.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: That's nice.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: I can use some money in a cereal box.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Um, I wanted to put like the gun in the cereal box and just go shoot through the box if necessary.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, never mind.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: We can see who's gonna be who in this in this gangster life.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: So, do I have the straight?
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: I'm the brains and you're the muscle.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: I like that idea.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 9:59unknown: Okay.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be the brains anymore.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I am tired of being a strong, independent black woman.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't want to think anymore.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: So that's you.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Merry Christmas, Lisa.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: I'm not thinking at all.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: You tell me who to hit and it's over, and I consider it done.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: That's not okay.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: She's like, okay, in that case, that's fine.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: She was like, I take that.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: It's not so bad being the brains of the operation when you tell people what to do and then they just do it.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: Then it's not so bad.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: I'm okay with I am so yeah, I no.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: I'm okay with it.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: It's only a struggle when you have to be the brains and the adversary.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: It's like I can't think for the two of us if only one of us acts upon said thoughts.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: But the okay, so the thing with you and I.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Well, maybe yin and yang.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: We could we will both flow into both roles with not a problem.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: But I'm relinquishing all thoughts.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: I'll be the monica to your Rachel.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And then I'll be like, okay, okay.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: I give it five minutes before like, bitch, open your fucking mouth and say something though.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: I really give you five minutes.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: And I just say working.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Does that okay really mean okay, or do you think it's stupid?
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it's your decision.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: I don't like is that you or not?
- 11:24unknown: Yes.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: But it's not because I question myself.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: It's because if we are doing something, I want to make sure that it also is okay for you, and you're not just being like sure because you want to make it okay for me.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: I just don't care.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: I'm at the point, oh.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: I'm at the point where I don't want to make a decision.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: I just I was like, fine.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Sorry, no, no, sorry.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna make a decision for you right now.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: I know you're going.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: We don't want everyone to know our uh our new plans, right?
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: For Beth, her return to legit life means play dates and mom friends she had long forgotten.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: That sounds horrible.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: I know shit.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: And it was cold.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: I just sounded like a little bit of a side.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: You know how cold that seat is gonna be under that kid's ass?
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Oh even Ruby was sitting on a blanket on the bench.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: I just want to commit myself.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: I'd rather I'd rather work at dandy donuts than fucking do the mom shit.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Have a dandy delicious day.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: At one point, she even mouths exactly what the other moms are saying as they're saying it.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: See, she even thinks it's horrible.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Okay, I was so confused at that point because I was like, wait, why is she and but she hold up?
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: I I had to watch it twice.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: I was so confused.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: It's so predictable, and she's just like, uh I give her 5.5 seconds where she's like, I'm out, I'm gonna buy something to rob.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna I need a life of crime.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: And meanwhile, Annie is cleaning the Lisa.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: That's what I call it.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: The Lisa, the finding fugo.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: She's looking like what the hell?
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Fine and fugal.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like the new like bend and snap.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Find and fugal.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: So she's cleaning the finding fugo.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: So she's cleaned the toilets.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: And fucking boomer is getting, he's just like glowing from glee at this bullshit.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: And as she's taking the emotional and mental abuse from this asshole, she's asking for more hours because she has to go legit custody lawyer bills to pay, criminal lawyer bills to pay, right, the fucking blackmailer to pay.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: Right, because and that's the biggest part is that like they have to come up with the money for her in addition to then all their other stuff.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Shit.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: I was taking that bitch out personally, but okay.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: I got something on that later.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: Remind me to tell you about Mary Pat.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Okay, you mean the dress barn queen?
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: The dress barn queen?
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: But she got bunk beds in the kitchen, queen.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: I get okay.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: Like even I've never been that hood.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: Bunk beds in the kitchen.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: You're laying in bed.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: You talk about fryer egg when you turn over.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: It makes it easy to feed the kids.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: You're like breakfast in bed.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: It's a whole new meeting.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: A whole new meaning.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: That grease.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: My head hurts now just thinking about that.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, wait, I just had a fucking flashback.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Well, not flashback, it had like a like a flash, like what if?
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: Ruby gets the job at a dandy donuts drive-thru where her toddler of a boss yells at her for giving out free extra sugar.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Not moving fast enough and to tell people to have a dandy day.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: And she goes, Did he ask for sugar?
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: She's like, I don't fucking know.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: He could have.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: She was like, You couldn't hear shit in that machine.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, wow, wow, wow, wah, wow, no, but he heard everything.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: It was like peanuts.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: He was like, she was like, You heard that.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: And he was like, Yeah.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: And then when he says about the sugar, and she was like, they could have it sounded like they were speaking Mandarin with the Sutter.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: I don't even know what that would sound like if I tried.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Like that?
- 16:01unknown: I guess.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Go back and it'll sound just like that.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Um, unfortunately, no matter how hard they work, they still aren't able to cover the blackmail and their bills.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: And fat, they're about eight grand short.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: And this heifer shows up at the soccer game.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: She does the skin set on her.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: And she's just yeah, she showed up.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, you got some balls there.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: And then she's just like, hey, all in their face, like buddy bite, suck my tit and shit.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, hold my baby.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: And by the way, if she is not the ultimate fucking Karen.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Listen, she was a Karen before there was a Karen.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: Because I don't think Karen was a thing then.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Or just about.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: Um, she's like, if someone stole money out your mailbox, first of all, her story was suspect, and Stan should have been like, bitch, what are you talking about?
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: No, he's just like so like I'm a nice guy and let me listen to you and help you.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: What if someone stole like 8,000?
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: She's he's like, oh, well, that's federal.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: No, my response would have been like, no, bitch, what you want?
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Because you don't sound legit.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: How do you steal, right?
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: First of all, you you don't cut a small piece of a check off and be like, I'll just cash this half of it.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Right, they left$1,500.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: They left right.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: It left.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: So somebody left you more than$8,000 in cash in your mailbox.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: So that's what I'm saying.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: Like, this bitch got some set because you know you come here talking to a cop trying to put the heads.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Squeeze.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: I was thinking that word too.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: On Ruby in front of her husband, and you don't see anything wrong with your logic.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: Not only do you not know this bitch, so why, why are you coming and showing up at her kids' game with your bullshit story about your kid looking at soccer and somebody stealing$8,000 out of your mailbox?
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: From your mailbox.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: My question, like, why is there$8,000 cash in your mailbox?
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: Nobody should be mailing you cash and and actually putting something in somebody's mailbox that hasn't gone through the post office is actually against the law.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: So So yeah, this whole scene kind of got on my nerves.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: She goes, and I made it clear to them.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay, bitch, you really okay.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that that that whole episode, that whole scene kind of pictures.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: I was like, at that point, they should have gone right to Rio and be like, um, yeah.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: We're gonna need you to handle it.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Thanks.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Bye.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: He yeah.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: So now Lisa's favorite scene.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: As Beth and Annie are in Beth's kitchen debating the taste distinction of Ninja Turtle macaroni and cheese and minion mac and cheese.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Ruby runs in to tell about Mary Pat's dry-by her dry-by blackmail.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: And of course, Beth Beth's, and her solution is for them to do another job because she's bored out of her fucking gourd.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, and yoga, we can cut that expense too, boo.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Seriously.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: K cups, waste of money.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: Brew your own from grounds or get yourself a reusable one.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: No self-respecting coffee drinker drinks, K cups.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: I don't, I don't like fine.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I do it at work because it's already I don't have to pay for it.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: It's already covered.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Like it's paid for, they buy the K cups and then I don't in the page.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: I'm like, fine.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Alex, Alex finds them at work sometimes, and you know, when he brings them home, and I save them for when people want coffee.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh here, here.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: I make myself from the the you know, fresh just this morning.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: That was new espresso machine.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I forgot.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: Grinded up my beans.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: When we had Nalinda's little party.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: I don't know if my uncle was just twisted, but he I brewed the coffee and then he um he drank and he was like, You made this?
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Yeah.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Wow, it's good and it's hot.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Okay.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: But he's so used to it in his house that they use the K cups.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: K cups, but he finds that they never get hot enough.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: And I said, They don't.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was like, and the beans are freshly ground, like Yeah.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: He may be knocking your door with the empty cup.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Sometimes, sometimes the um the the what do you call it?
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: Like the like K cups, like the quickness, the please help me.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: And um I know you're talking about the um the convenience, the Yes, okay.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: I might just cut that so I don't look too stupid.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: So no, but sometimes the whole things, all the things that we buy to make life so much more convenient, they lose.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: You know, they lose something in the process.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: And it's like, okay, a cup of coffee from a K cup, yeah, it's okay, you know, but a cup of coffee from actual brewed beans and and and fresh, no less.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: And even if it's percolated, because that shit goes.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: You know, but like homemade food versus the shit that we just pull a tab and microwave.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, it's convenient, it's in a pinch, I'm starving, it's a quick thing to bring to work, whatever, but it just and and it's just so much more expensive in the long run than if you actually took the time.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: And I know time can be a privilege.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: I I know that, I know that.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: But as a person who you know has had to deal with time crunch and this and that and you know, juggling between school, work, kids and my school, um you can find you know, time to like just double up.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: That's that for me, that was the fastest way to meal prep was to double up.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: If I was doing a ZD, do two.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: Because you're doing it at the same time.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: And it's easier on your wallet also because you're not buying like a whole you know a lot more food at a time, but you can make a another ZD.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: You're doing a slow cooker meal and also the slow cooker, huge help.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: Like when time is is precious and cost is you know a a factor.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Prep a second one, put in a ziploc.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: She's fallen asleep on me.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: I feel so disrespected.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: I was trying to help people.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: No, I was just let's I'm just under the time crunch.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, fine.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: Anyway, she wasted a lot of money on that bullshit.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Next.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: Well, I really did get sidetracked.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I forgot what we were talking about.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: Minion mac and cheese and K cups.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: So at this time at this point, Beth admits that she's been thinking about the next step.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: And she's like, yeah, something simple, like a 7-Eleven.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: But she said, not the one in Linwood, because she got them to sponsor the school.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: And Ruby was like, good job.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: No, she said, good for you.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Like, because of course we all get that, you know.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: See, that's love and true friendship.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: Didn't matter what it was.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: It was just a friend complimenting another friend and congratulating her on her achievement.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: So whether it's a good one.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: She was getting sponsorship, picking a place to rob, it's a good job.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: And it's just like, I see your your effort and I appreciate you.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: Annie at this time says it's not a good time for her to get back into crime.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: And when Ruby shoots back, well, can I sync up ICAW so I know when it is?
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: And to be fair, I fucking Ruby and her lines are amazing.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: To be fair, she's going through she already has like shit going on.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Like who needs a third strike at this point?
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Um before Ruby can convince Annie to get to get with shit, get with the program, she gets a text and she runs out of there.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: And it's kind of funny.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Like the roosters have come home to whatever.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Ruby and Stan are standing in front of a mildly, mildly.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: The chickens have come home to roost.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Or hens.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: Wait.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: No, the chicken.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: You had it right.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: The chickens have come home to roost.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: One of those birds.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: They're roosting.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're roosting.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: Stan drops a box down on their dining room table filled with various things that her principal says were shoplifted and tried to be sold at lunch.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: Sarah initially tries to insist she doesn't know how it got there.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: Ruby refuses to buy what she's selling.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: When Sarah finally admits that she said one friend takes the makeup, one friend does this shit.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: They got a system.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: And she goes, and she goes, and she says it's the funny part.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: I moved the fidget spinners.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Stan was like, you stole fidget spinners?
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: And Ruby was just like, oh, you move shit now.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Like you got the lingo.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she she's talking, she's talking the language of the street.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: So she's bilingual.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: Oh, I like the way you Yeah.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: I gotta put the pilot spin.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: After digging a little bit deeper, they learn that the reason that otherwise intelligent child who's following in her mother's footsteps, unbeknownst to her.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: It's because the kids don't make fun of the oxygen, the oxygen tank weirdo.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: She's like, now I'm she's like, I'm dope now.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: You thought it was gonna be a heartfelt moment, right?
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: She's like, you're not a dope.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: She's like, you're not dope.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: You are you are a dope.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: Your mother's right.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: You were dope.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Poor Ruby.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Uh poor Sarah.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: So as Ruby is spiraling at the of her daughter's life of crime, Annie's watching Love Actually with Greg and at with Greg and Sadie at Greg's house.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Sadie's like done with her parents talking back and forth while she's trying to watch the movie.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm out, peace.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: Annie is shitting all over the because he he brings the bell and it's like a a big card.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: It says, um, say it's yeah, because who is in, like, say it's Carol Singer's.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: And but I'm such an idiot.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: The first time I I've never seen that movie.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: You thought it was a name?
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: I thought it was a name because there's somebody that I see in an online forum, and that's her name.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: But and I I like her post a lot.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: So it's like, um, I I was like, who's Carol Singer?
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: And then when she said it, I was like, oh, that's the inflection.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: That makes more sense.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: And this is why inflection is important.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: Because you think it's a woman named Carol Singers.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: You've got to put the accent on the right syllable.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: Syllable.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: You never heard that?
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: I did, but it's so funny.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: Um, I'd like to say credit, but I didn't make that up.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: Well, for the purpose of this episode, you did.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: You totally did.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: All mine.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: All yours.
- 28:03unknown: Yeah.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: So Annie's making fun of the cue card scene with the whole like mus the radio.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: That doesn't even sound like Carolers, but she really does it.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: It did it at all.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, she was right, but it is annoying to watch a movie with that person.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: It really is.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Before Greg and Annie can we get down to the reason they're picking the stupid movie apart.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: Nancy comes in before heading out to work.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: Annie, love Annie.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: She goes, Is there a zip only you can pop?
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: She says.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: And here comes Nancy.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: She got she gives it as good as she gets.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: And instead, so I thought that it was more her being like an airhead.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: I think it's a a persona.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: I think because she's like, oh, Sitchinok, don't lean on the couch because you your hair oils.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: And then I have and I think it was, I think that was a that was her nice, nasty, that was her giving it back.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: She's a different delivery method than Annie does.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: A little bit more condescending and not snarky.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't like I don't know.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: I I didn't get that from her.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously you're probably right because you've seen this, but um I just felt and then like um with the whole thing, I was like, no, but we just opened like three locations.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: It just seemed like it wasn't a put down, it was just like she was just happy for herself, and then when she's like, Okay, I love you, and he doesn't answer, and she's like, I love you too.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Like, I didn't really think she's no airhead.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: I think she's trying to make her life as good as possible, and you ignore the obvious.
- 29:53SPEAKER_01: Well, and then there's a scene later, and it's like, okay, well, maybe that accounts for the mood swings.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: But the whole I love you and the I love you too, I was like, oh, I'd be damned if I tell myself that I love you too.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: It just seemed like so airhead-ish to me.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I think it's just like trying to live rose colored glasses, like you love this man and you just want to make it work regardless.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: You're gonna hold on to it like grim death.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: Any way possible.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: And then when she said about the hair oils, I remember that scene from Coming to America, and everyone had Jerry curls, and they all got up from the couch.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: You see, the that shit was squeezy as fuck.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: So Jerry.
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: And did they make a lot of money?
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure they did.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: The 80s was a profitable time for that brand, I think.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: I hope Jerry's doing well.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: I wonder if his hair still curls.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: Do you think he named it after himself?
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: Like the style, and then everybody just you know how there's always something, there's a particular medicine that gets you asking these really deep physiological questions that have nothing to do with real life.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: But uh- But isn't isn't Jerry like J-H-E-R-I, that's how you spell it, right?
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: I thought it was just J-E-R-I, whatever.
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: Okay, but is it is does Jerry mean a word, or isn't it just the the name of that style?
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: I always thought it was just the name of that style.
- 31:24SPEAKER_01: It is just the name of the style.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: And I figured it was named after the person who invented it.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: Never thought about it.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: And know the name with the style.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: So I've thought about this, so I don't know what's wrong with me.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: No.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: I've not thought about it a lot.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: But like I have thought about it, like when you he s you know, when you see things and like they're talking about it, and then it just makes you think, like, well, I wonder how that started.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: Okay, forget it.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: I think about stupid stuff.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: I'm very inquisitive.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: I usually when I think of stupid stuff is usually doing our non-recording time, and I call you and talk to you about it.
- 32:04SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: We need to record ourselves talking.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: We could get like a whole like three to four episodes and one week conversation for us.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: The editing.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: Did you hear about what did this week?
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: You know what she said?
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: She said brr.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: Are you fucking kidding me?
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: That's br I don't think it will work.
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: I think it could work.
- 32:35SPEAKER_01: I think it could work if we didn't want to keep having friends.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, we can still beep out names and sections and okay.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: We can figure it out.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: I think it'd be funny.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: And this is when Annie comes back into the gangster fold and like we are taking down the spas.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: All three of them.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: And she had a plan.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: See, they said they have the same layout.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: She's gonna be working and she's gonna I signed her up to be a chaperone for Sadie's school trip.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: She's not gonna be in there.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be in and out, we're gonna hit them all at the same time, which is actually quite genius.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Ruby asks, so how are you gonna get the cash?
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's no cash, everyone plays credit card.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: She was like, How are we gonna get the money?
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, we're not getting money.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: They go after the liquid gold, they go for the Botox.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: So you see each one of them going through, about to hit their score.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: I just thought I'd just tend to get it to the lingo.
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: The lingo.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: The lingo of the spa.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: The lingo of the spa street leg of bois.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: The lingo of the spa.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: So you see each one, Ruby gets hers back to the dirty ass hamper robe.
- 33:53SPEAKER_01: It was kind of gross.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Like, I know you know those things are damp too.
- 33:57SPEAKER_01: Stop.
- 33:57unknown: Stop.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: They looked comfy as hell, like when it was clean.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: When it was clean.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: And then of course, fuck it, Annie.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: I feel like this shit only happened.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: She didn't do anything wrong.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: It has it just I have notes.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: But it's like the universe is like, yeah, we can just fuck with her a little bit more.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: She gets waylaid.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: Is it the universe fucking with this bitch?
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: The ticketed garage exit puts the machine, puts the ticket in, and she goes, insert ticket.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: She's like, Fi.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: Although I really think they could have been, she could have gotten away with it.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: And then she goes to call.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: They're like, we are closed.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Like, I never had that problem, but I can't even imagine.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: Like, seriously, like, what would you do if you're not um trying to leave out with thousands of dollars of Botox?
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: But like, what do you do?
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: I would just try to lift the arm.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: And then if I couldn't, I might just like back up, go run, get another ticket, and try again.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: Get another ticket from where?
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: The tickets on you when you come in.
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: So you walk.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Ah.
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: So you you take the 10 minutes.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: You walk around.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: Get a new ticket and then come back around.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Try to try to get on again.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: I didn't even think about that.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: You're so smart, Lisa.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I guess I thought about this too.
- 35:25unknown: Ah.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: You know, if the whole pushing the arm up didn't work.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, this one scene when they were talking about when Annie was telling them about the score.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: She's talking so bad.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: She's like, Where are your K cups?
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: She's like, I don't think you need any more.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: I'm going back a little bit because it was a funny scene.
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: And she finds the K cup and she's dancing.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: She's like and singing, Doc Magic.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: And he goes, Ruby goes, you know, I was just like these fucking bitches.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Oh man.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know how I forgot that part of the scene.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: That was like the best one.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but Annie, Annie just like, she has a choice to do something stupid and something really stupid.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: She always picks really stupid.
- 36:14SPEAKER_01: Really stupid.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: I.e., her fence that she chose to pick.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: No, before that, before that, she's still stuck there.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: And instead of figuring it the fuck out, she robbed somebody by gunpoint for their ticket.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: By gunpoint for their ticket.
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: Bitch, do you know how easy it is for these people to be like, listen, it's crazy.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: It was, you know, they only she only wanted the ticket, but it was at gunpoint, and this is the car she drives, and this is her license plate.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Seriously, Annie?
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: Do you know how easy it is to find you when you're in your own fucking car at a parking garage and you don't took a couple of minutes for her to put that ticket in?
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let me tell you something.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: One thing.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: If I was held at gunpoint and they just wanted my ticket, I would be like, uh, I'm going home.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: I'm not calling anybody.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: Like, me personally, like, you know what?
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: That's all they wanted.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: I'm going home.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: I'm going to take a hot bath.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: They were arguing about like a musical.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: You know they were calling the cops.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: You know they were, yeah.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Bum and me.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: You and me, I think I've been like, I'm just going to chop that up to the game and I'm going home.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: I don't know what that wasn't, and I don't want to get involved.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: I don't want to get involved.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: The epitome of all generation.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: I don't want to get involved.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: And then, okay, so also before that even happened, why the fuck are you not not just Annie, right?
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: They all just have these things, the vials in the pink bags that are very, very noticeable, filled all the way up to the top.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: You didn't think to bring I know your I know better.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: A duffer bag ass has some reusable shopping bags from grocery store.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: They should know better by now.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: They are seasoned criminals.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: They should know better.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: But then Annie has all that shit just sitting on the back seat.
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: Not only can somebody look and be like, why the fuck does that bitch have vials and vials of stuff?
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: Like, even if it was insulin, that would be suspicious.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: And then what happens if you make a short stop?
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: All that shit is gonna go flying?
- 38:18SPEAKER_01: What if it breaks?
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: Like, you don't think, girl?
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: My gut.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: Can somebody hire me?
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: I can help.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: I can help.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: So she had talked.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: What is the dude's name?
- 38:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: I don't remember.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: He's like, you said injectables.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: She's like, yeah, these are injectables.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: She's like, my client's tell is not the cosmetic injectables.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: I thought it was heroin.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: Like, I thought it was some good shit.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: So yeah, she doesn't.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, she has really good intentions.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: But this might not be the light for her.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, his name is Darren.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: But I'm not gonna remember that at all.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: So though I have no one to unload this Botox.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: Liquid gold, honestly, if you ask me.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: Like, that's the second liquid gold next to oil.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: So she's definitely desperate to unload their score.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: Beth appeals to Rio to take it off my hands.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: He sees through her bullshit.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: And we asks her, What's with your rotten egg?
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: How's she like, I got it taken care of.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: She goes, You think you're a boss now?
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: Your lily ass.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: You do two.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: Wait, she goes, your lily ass does two jobs, and all of a sudden you think you can run the whole game.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no.
- 39:38SPEAKER_01: In fairness, I think so too.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: I could run the whole game, and I didn't do any jobs.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: What professional TV is a good idea?
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: I could run best operation.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: I don't think I could run Rios.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: No, right, same.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: So he he tells her, get her shit in, get her shit together and get the Botox out of his face.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: And he tells her, Don't inject yourself with that.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: You don't need it.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: Did you feel the chemistry between they always have it?
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: I know, but it just she's obviously stressed the fuck out.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: Dean goes, let me help.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: She was like, How can you help?
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: He goes, what can you lose?
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: Like, you're not you have no answers now.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because he was like, Oh, does that have anything to do with the um whatever he said?
- 40:27SPEAKER_01: Well, the the bags in the garage.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: He thought it was drugs too.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, liquid.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: Heroin, he thought it was he thought so too.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Something else, but it was a dru he thought it was drugs.
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: To be fair, you know.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, all you have to do is like read the label.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, it is a drug, just not that kind.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: It's not right.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: And then next scene, you see him like walk into his um bullshit doctor, his shady doctor friend.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: How's that buick treating you?
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: He's like, good, I guess.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: You don't need a dermatologist.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: And I was like, um, get it, Dean.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: The character is not a good-looking character.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: There's nothing sexy about that character, but that was definitely a sexy moment.
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: Like Yeah, I was like, okay, Dean, I'm starting to like you again.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 41:20SPEAKER_01: Like, that was some shit right there.
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: You were like, okay, I got it.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: I got it.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Um.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: You just handled business.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: And and you didn't need like a cookie for it.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: Ruby marches Sarah down to Stance Police Station for their rendition of Scare Straight.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: The funny thing is, it doesn't really scare Sarah as much as it scared Ruby.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: Yep, she scared herself straight.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: She scared herself shitless.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: Denise, the police officer who Ruby instructs to scare the spinners out of Sarah, does her job well, maybe just a little bit too well.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: So Denise puts them both in a cell and tells them they're gonna lock up with murderers and game bangers.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, they're already.
- 42:04SPEAKER_01: He said it was a big old melting pot.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: Ruby asks, is there not like a separate white collar cell?
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: And Denise, in response, turns the heat up a little bit further by telling them that the double, the toilet doubles as they're do their business and their kitchen.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Sarah's kind of screwed up.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Like, wait, I gotta go to the bathroom in front of people?
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Even number all the numbers.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, if and now we're back to the whole like sankurity in the toilet with bread.
- 42:47SPEAKER_01: I didn't make it in the toilet, but I mean, compared to your fucking fancy little espresso martini there, it might as well have been.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, to be fair, my espresso martini was already pre-made.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, but then I just added the chocolate.
- 42:59SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 42:59SPEAKER_01: And the and the chilled glass.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I have gl I have a whole two cabinets full of like fancy glasses.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: I have white wine glasses, red wine glasses, goblets, shots, taster side.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: I have a whole fucking thing.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: I don't use any of it.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Flutes.
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: I figure I'm like, I want to be pr I want to be a girly girl lollipop, Agnes.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: And so then you make me feel like I made the shit.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: Okay, maybe not a toilet, but like the sink, you know.
- 43:32SPEAKER_01: So you come here, we can do it together.
- 43:34SPEAKER_01: Like a kitchen sink, not a bathroom sink.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: You come here, we can do it together.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: Do it together.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: Back at Greg's.
- 43:46SPEAKER_00: Annie is overhearing a devastated Nancy on the phone in disbelief that all three of the spas were hit.
- 43:53SPEAKER_00: After she hangs up, Nancy confesses to Annie that she's a hot mess because all the hormones, because she's injecting herself like a crackhead with IVF fertility hormones, rather.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: And Annie is going through all the emotions.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: This guilt, this anger at Greg fucking loser jerk off.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: And we got our answer.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: So she confronts him in the driveway because he pulls up.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: He goes, Why are you leaving?
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: You asked for answer extra anchovies.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: She's like, move your fucking car.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: She didn't say that, but she pretty much did.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: But she did.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: She did.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: And she goes, Why didn't you tell?
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: She's like, You're sleeping with you're sleeping with me while your wife is going through IVF.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: It's like really douchebag move.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: And he goes, What am I supposed to do?
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Leave her and marry you?
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: We tried that and it didn't work.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: That didn't make sense to me because she didn't ask him to leave her.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: She was expounding on the fact that he was a douchebag.
- 44:51SPEAKER_00: Not that she wanted him to marry her, but you're being a douchebag.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: Because that I feel like that's a common thing.
- 44:58SPEAKER_01: Like, not just with guys.
- 44:59SPEAKER_01: I mean, people, all kinds of people do it, but I feel like guys do it.
- 45:04SPEAKER_01: When they're in the wrong, it's like you're not hearing what the problem what I'm saying.
- 45:09SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: You're not hearing the complaint.
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: You're hearing like your fear.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: So she says, You're a douchebag because you're trying to get your wife pregnant and have a family with her and you're sleeping with me.
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: And he hears, well, then she must want me like to marry her.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: Like, no.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: So she bounces out of there.
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: Because of Dean superhero efforts, Beth goes and um pays off Mary Pat.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: And she makes a point to say, you know, if we go down, you're going down too is an accessory.
- 45:51SPEAKER_00: At some point, Mary Pat laughs off, being ignored by her children with the off-handed.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: It's not like I'm it's like I'm not even here.
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: And Beth replies, Imagine if you were in prison.
- 46:03SPEAKER_00: But that does not deter her.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: She is still 10 toes down on her blackmail.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: Well, it looks like she has to be able to get it.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: She was wavering.
- 46:13SPEAKER_01: And whether it was just her Mary Pet actually hesitating or just the way this the her body language happened to be.
- 46:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously we don't know.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: But then she was, yeah.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: She has some she she wavered, and then she just like, nope, I'll see you next month.
- 46:32SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: Maybe she can get them bunk beds out of the kitchen.
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: At the station, Stan and Ruby are.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: Look like she was changing the baby's diaper on the table.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: It looked like it, didn't it?
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: Well, when you got bunk beds in your kitchen, what else are you gonna do?
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: What else is there?
- 46:49SPEAKER_01: Because it was a chair underneath it.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: Okay, sorry.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: I God, that would be the worst kitchen ever.
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: I don't like Mary Beth.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: She annoys me.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: But I couldn't.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Is it a Mary Pet?
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: Mary Pat.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Beth.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: I could be I could added them together.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: Mary Pet annoys me.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: Like I get her dire situation, but at the same time, I put you annoying me.
- 47:19SPEAKER_01: Like you straight up acting like you are entitled to something.
- 47:23SPEAKER_00: All blackmailers have entitlement.
- 47:25SPEAKER_00: That's just part of that's that's they go hand in hand.
- 47:29SPEAKER_00: At the station, Stan and Ruby are post-gaming Sarah's jail tour when Ruby sees a mugshot of Rio's underling, who had been shot and laid up in Emma's bed.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: While she's able to play off her curiosity with surprise at how young he is, she gets gut punched when she finds out that he's the guy Stan arrested and he's working for the vets.
- 47:50SPEAKER_01: And yeah, he's one of the good guys now.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Kind of.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: You become a snitch when you pard the crime and you want to tell or let somebody out.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: You're a snitch, you're a rat.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: My little Brooklyn came out there a little bit.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: I heard it.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: Beth asks Dean, back to Beth and Dean.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: So she asks him how is he able to get rid of it?
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: And he just says, a friend of a friend.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: And at that point, she tells him everything, down to the percentage, what her plans are.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: She just lets it all hang out.
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: Then the doorbell rings, and it's Annie just standing there devastated on Beth's doorstep.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: But as they're talking through shit, Ruby busts in with the news about Rio Snitch.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: As the information just spills forth like a waterfall, she shares with the girls the highlights of her own personal scale straight doc.
- 48:49SPEAKER_00: She goes, Jailwine is brewing a toilet with ketchup and bread.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: And he's like, bread?
- 48:55SPEAKER_00: She goes, but that's the one gets you?
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: She goes, Well, the toilet kind of makes sense.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: You gotta put it somewhere.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, she's not wrong.
- 49:04SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 49:07SPEAKER_00: And of course, Beth's like, oh yeah, it's for fermenting.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: Because Beth knows everything.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: She was just like so matter of fact.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: Well, because it has yeast and you need the yeast.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: And as a homemaker, it makes sense.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: You know, she would know about the bread and the yeast and stuff.
- 49:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm sure you can make bread while you're heating up your minion mac and cheese.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: Well, they can goodbye.
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: You're absolutely right.
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: You got time to make the bread then.
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: You don't have to make the mac and cheese.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: She tells the girls that we have to tell Rio.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: And they're like, we can't tell Rio.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: She goes, is the kid or us?
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: So we have a government shutdown, severance package, layoffs.
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's the end of the episode.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: Give me all your stuff.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: I know that you've seen this, right?
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: I don't remember it, so.
- 50:07SPEAKER_01: But it's okay, it's okay.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: I don't know if it's because it it's such a typical trope in in stuff, but it's like Annie and Greg Gregol slept together, his wife is doing IVF to get pregnant.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: Like, is Annie in tears because she just found out she's pregnant?
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: Like, oops, by accident, but you know, since this one is trying, you're the one who's gonna be knocked up.
- 50:29SPEAKER_01: And if this was our girl gang, how would you take care of Mary Pat?
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: I almost said Mary Beth.
- 50:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: First one I'm not answering.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: I have no comment on that.
- 50:47SPEAKER_00: I no.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: Uh uh I'm asking you.
- 50:50SPEAKER_00: I have no comment.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: You talk about yeah, no, the first part you said is she crying because she's gonna be like, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 50:56SPEAKER_01: That's fine.
- 50:57SPEAKER_00: I thought Mary Pat, like No, the first question you asked.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 51:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: If I was oh, I would have when Rio first came to me like it needs to be handled, like I'll handle it or whatever.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I handle it.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: Handle it.
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: Maybe the second time.
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: Maybe at the first time, but the second time.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: I think for sure the second time.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: When it went up to 10,000, I'm like, uh uh, bitch you got me fucked up.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: You you pushed the envelope a little bit too far.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: I would have had him handle it.
- 51:33SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 51:34unknown: Yeah.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: Because I'm not he's leveled up enough in my at this point.
- 51:39SPEAKER_01: I don't want that mess on my hands.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: I'm not right.
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: I'm not there.
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: I'm not that's outside my pay grade.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, so that's for upper management to handle.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: And I would have had him handle it.
- 51:49SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 51:50SPEAKER_01: You could you could handle it and dock my pay a little.
- 51:52SPEAKER_01: I'm okay with that.
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: He would have had me clean it up though.
- 51:55SPEAKER_00: Um, but I'm prepared for that.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: We've been preparing for that our whole lives.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, when he when he was sitting down drinking his tea, how's your rotten egg?
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: Actually, not so good.
- 52:08SPEAKER_00: And that's the third time he asked about the rotten egg.
- 52:10SPEAKER_00: Because he act that was the first time was when it first happened.
- 52:15SPEAKER_00: And then later on that same episode, he goes, Did you really solve the problem?
- 52:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:20SPEAKER_00: So yeah, after they went up from it went up to 10,000.
- 52:25SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 52:26SPEAKER_00: So this is the third time.
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: Wasn't it 10,000 the first month too?
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, I'm sorry, when it actually went continuously as opposed to the one-time only.
- 52:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 52:36SPEAKER_00: So it went from one-time deal, he's like, handle it, and then yeah, so it's the third time he bought the situation.
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: I say you never opened the door to a blackmailer.
- 52:48SPEAKER_01: They're always gonna say that.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: Um, how would you have handled it?
- 52:53SPEAKER_00: Because you're the one that I'm the thing.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: No, I agree with you.
- 52:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, because you're the CEO.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just the muscle.
- 52:58unknown: Oh.
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I would have outsourced to Rio.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, definitely that second time, I would have been like, especially that he brought it up, I would have just been like, okay.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: What you know, like even if even if he don't handle it because he might he might turn around now and say, I I told you I would handle it, now it's your problem.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: But maybe not because her problem affects his business.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: He still would he would have he would have taught her a lesson.
- 53:35SPEAKER_00: So I he definitely would have had her handle it.
- 53:38SPEAKER_00: I think he would have had her clean it up.
- 53:39SPEAKER_01: But he but he would have also maybe given instructions, like yeah, but the lesson would have been taught.
- 53:46SPEAKER_00: You know, this still would have been a lesson.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she wouldn't if no clean hands.
- 53:50SPEAKER_00: How it looked, we don't know, but yeah.
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: But that's but even at the very least, it's like, what do you advise I do and see like you know, learn because at this point, like you might as well learn from this dude.
