- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:02Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to begin taking
- 0:06a look at the Glenn Maxwell transcripts that just dropped.
- 0:11So Todd Blanche is going to be the one asking
- 0:14the questions and obviously the skafuzza Glenn Maxwell will be
- 0:18doing the answering. And this is day number one, July
- 0:22twenty fourth, twenty twenty five. Todd Blanche, Good morning, miss Maxwell.
- 0:28How are you? And when I say answer, that's Glenn
- 0:31Maxwell answering, and if there's any deviation from that I'll
- 0:35make sure to notate that as we work our way
- 0:38through this answer. Good morning, mister Blanche. Question good okay,
- 0:42So before we started recording, we met for a few minutes.
- 0:45I introduced myself and we've chatted and now I've told
- 0:49you that we're going on the record, and before we
- 0:51start asking questions, I know that you've been given by
- 0:54your lawyer a copy of what's called a proper agreement
- 0:57and I just want to spend two minutes making sure
- 0:59that you want tonderstand what that governs and what our
- 1:03conversation today is going to be. The most important part
- 1:06of this agreement is that this isn't a cooperation agreement,
- 1:10meaning that by you meeting with us today, we're really
- 1:14just meeting. We're not promising to do anything. Well besides
- 1:17mover to a different facility. How mister Blanche, I'm not
- 1:20promising to ask Judge Nathan or any of the judges
- 1:23that's been assigned to your case to do anything. We're
- 1:26just talking, and so that's the most important part of
- 1:29this agreement. However, almost as important is the fact that
- 1:33what this agreement does for you is it gives you protection.
- 1:37So what it means is that the government cannot use
- 1:40what you say today against you, with some exceptions, which
- 1:43we'll talk about in a minute, but whatever you talk
- 1:46about today, you have what's called immunity. So that means
- 1:49that your words that you say today we cannot use
- 1:52against you in a case in chief if we were
- 1:54ever to bring one. Okay, Glenn Maxwell, thank you Blanche.
- 2:00All right. There's exceptions to that, the most meaningful one
- 2:03of which is that if you say something today that's
- 2:05not true, that's a lie, we can bring a prosecution
- 2:08against you for what's called a false statement. So I'm
- 2:12a federal officer, I have several officers here, the FBI
- 2:15is here, and if you lie to someone that's like
- 2:18me or like Special Agent Horn, it's a crime. So
- 2:22you have to be truthful. The other exception to this
- 2:25that doesn't necessarily apply directly to you, but if there
- 2:28ever was a retrial in your case, or if there
- 2:30was ever a criminal case a future criminal case against you,
- 2:33and you're a lawyer, or you said something different or
- 2:37it took a position that's different than what you say today,
- 2:40then we can cross examine you or a witness based
- 2:43upon what you say today. So it's a little bit nuanced,
- 2:47meaning I can't use what you say against you in
- 2:50our case in chief. However, if you were to testify,
- 2:53or if you're a lawyer called a witness to testify
- 2:56and they said something that is totally different than what
- 2:58you say today, we could cross examine you or the
- 3:01witness and say, hey, do you remember when we met
- 3:04with miss Maxwell. When we met with miss Maxwell back
- 3:07in July of twenty twenty five, she told us then
- 3:11and then say what she said. Okay, Maxwell, I understand Blanche, Okay.
- 3:17Other than that, you I know you didn't have a
- 3:20lot of time with this morning to meet with mister Marcus.
- 3:23But did you have a chance to go over this
- 3:25briefly with them? Maxwell? I did, Blanche, okay, all right,
- 3:29so I've already signed it, as has special agent Horn. Maxwell. Okay,
- 3:34and mister Marcus signed it as well. So you got
- 3:37a pen. Please sign it Maxwell right here, Blanche, right here,
- 3:41it says client, Yes, and I will provide you a
- 3:44copy of this to your lawyer. So you guys have it. Maxwell,
- 3:47thank you, Blanche, Okay, thank you, so, miss Maxwell. About
- 3:52a week and a half ago or two weeks ago,
- 3:55Spencer Horn, can you see the light blinking on there
- 3:58on the sony? Yeah, there it is, Blanche. Okay. We're
- 4:01just confirming that it works, and it does. Maxwell. I
- 4:05guess about a week and a half or two weeks ago,
- 4:07mister Marcus reached out to me and said that that
- 4:10you wanted to speak with somebody from the government about
- 4:13not only your case, but about everything that's been in
- 4:15the media and that's been publicized about mister Epstein in
- 4:19your case. Maxwell. That's she gets cut off by Blanche,
- 4:23did he Maxwell cuts her off? That's true. And I
- 4:27did speak to him and I did ask him if
- 4:29oh and tell him that I would be very keen
- 4:32to talk to anyone, because no one from the government
- 4:35at any time ever in since the inception of the case,
- 4:39so dating back to the early two thousands, has ever
- 4:41spoken to me. And indeed, I believe ever reached out
- 4:44to me at any time to even speak to me,
- 4:47and that includes up to when I was indicted and prosecuted.
- 4:51I believe that, or I understand I should say rather
- 4:55that my attorneys at the time did tell the government
- 4:57that I wanted to speak to them because I was
- 4:59very keen to meet with anyone so that I could
- 5:02tell or have the mask me any question. I've never
- 5:05had any problem to speak to anybody, and I offered
- 5:08myself and I keep asking if they would meet with
- 5:11me so I could talk to them, and for whatever
- 5:13reason to that, she's cut off by Blanche Okay, Maxwell,
- 5:17that was not happening. Blanche Okay. I have questions that
- 5:20I want to ask you, but I'm not. If there's
- 5:22a path a question that I'm not asking that you
- 5:25think should be asked, I invite you to volunteer. Same
- 5:28thing goes for your lawyers. Oh yeah, let's let Maxwell
- 5:31lead the party. It's already a shit show, folks, Just
- 5:36to start a little bit, very briefly, can you talk
- 5:38about when you first met mister Epstein. I know that
- 5:41goes back a while, and just very generally talk about
- 5:44your relationship with mister Epstein from the time you met
- 5:46him all the way up until until his death. I
- 5:49met mister Epstein in nineteen ninety one, my I had
- 5:53I had never heard of him or met him before,
- 5:55and no one in my family had either. My father
- 5:58never knew him. And I'll explain why that is the case.
- 6:01I met to that. Blanche cuts her off. Where did
- 6:04you Where did you meet him? Maxwell? I had a
- 6:07girlfriend who I was Yeah, I moved to America. Briefly,
- 6:12I'd moved to America in ninety Blanche, Okay, Maxwell, I
- 6:16well moved, that's a big word. I'd come to visit
- 6:18America in nineteen ninety. I had been running my own
- 6:21company up until that time, which was a company called
- 6:24Maxwell's Corporate Gifts, and I had also been working for
- 6:28my father at the time. I had multiple jobs with him.
- 6:31I was in nineteen ninety I was working with a
- 6:33new company of his, a newspaper that was launching called
- 6:37The European and I was in charge of launching a
- 6:40magazine to go with the European and I was traveling
- 6:43at the time from England to America because my father
- 6:46was looking too well. He'd also bought McMillan, the publishing house,
- 6:51and he purchased the New York Daily News. And it's
- 6:54truth that my father always wanted me to come back
- 6:57full time and work for him. But that's a much
- 6:59longer story I don't think we need to go into
- 7:01at this time. So, but I was always working with him.
- 7:05There was no escaping it, as it were, to work
- 7:08for him. So in nineteen ninety I had come over
- 7:11to New York to help look at some of that.
- 7:13He was having some advertising issues with the New York
- 7:16Deli News, and in fact I met I may have
- 7:19met Donald Trump at that time, because my father was
- 7:21friendly with him and liked him very much. And I
- 7:24think should be said that he also very much liked
- 7:28Ivana because she was also from Czechoslovakia, where my dad
- 7:32was from. So I don't I don't remember if I
- 7:34did meet him or not in nineteen ninety with my dad,
- 7:37but I knew That's what I knew about about mister Trump.
- 7:41Blanche and This was before you met to that. He's
- 7:45interrupted by Maxwell. This was before I met mister Epstein. Maxwell. Yes, Blanche,
- 7:50all right, Maxwell. So I was already going backwards and
- 7:54forwards in America, and then in April of nineteen ninety one,
- 7:57I came to New York. But I can't remember for
- 8:00what reason, what business reason, but there was a business reason,
- 8:04something to do with my dad at the time. And
- 8:06a girlfriend of mine, who an American, told me I
- 8:10had broken up with my long term I'd been engaged
- 8:12getting my long term boyfriend and we'd broken up. And
- 8:16she said, I've got you, know, as your girlfriends do.
- 8:19I've got a guy for you to meet. And I
- 8:21was like, well, who is he? And she goes, it's
- 8:24he's been dating my sister. You'll love him. He's looking
- 8:26for a wife. I'm edging towards thirty. I don't need
- 8:29to tell you, guys, that's a very important moment for
- 8:31a girl to think about important things. And sure I'd
- 8:35be happy to meet him. And so sometime in nineteen
- 8:38ninety one, now we are in nineteen ninety one, I
- 8:41met him at his office on Madison Garden, and I
- 8:43think the most memorable thing I can think about that
- 8:47is he was wearing a tie, which he didn't often do.
- 8:50It had a giant seem like a ketchup stain on it.
- 8:55So I was like, wow, okay. And that was how
- 8:58we met. Was you're a meeting at his office for
- 9:01you to meet him just personally, or you're there to
- 9:05that he's cut off by Maxwell. I was just and
- 9:08then Blanche cuts her off work related reasons. Maxwell. No
- 9:11I knew nothing about him, Blanche, Okay, Maxwell. He just
- 9:15invited me to come and have tea, and I was like, tea,
- 9:19that's English, Okay. What was unusual was in his office.
- 9:23So I went to his office and we met and
- 9:25I found him very engaging. And that was that, Blanche.
- 9:29So okay, that's how you met him. So we and
- 9:31again I don't want to spend a lot of time,
- 9:33you know, on this particular issue, but what happened with
- 9:36your relationship over the years from the time you meet
- 9:39him in ninety one up until the time he passed
- 9:42away to this Marcus interjects, just give the highlights, Maxwell, Okay,
- 9:47the highlights. So I was looking for real estate for
- 9:50my dad to buy some and Epstein told me that
- 9:52he was also looking to move from his apartment and
- 9:54would I help him, And I said, sure, I'm looking already,
- 9:58so if I could look for him. So that's how
- 10:01I started. And then in nineteen ninety one my father
- 10:03passed away and I returned to New York after that,
- 10:06originally to come back and help with the family business,
- 10:09which was McMillan. And then the debacle of my father's
- 10:12passing hit the family and we lost all of our businesses,
- 10:16and my family thought it would be best if I
- 10:18stayed in America because of the intensity of the press
- 10:21and the drama surrounding my father's death in England, so
- 10:24I stayed in Epstein instead. Well, you can keep helping me.
- 10:27You can help me find a house and we can
- 10:29decorate the house. And it gave me something to do. Blanche,
- 10:33were you in a romantic relationship with him at this
- 10:36point or just friends? Maxwell? No, just friends, Blanche. And
- 10:40while we're just with respect to your father, there has
- 10:42been multiple questions about whether he worked for any intelligence agency.
- 10:47Do you have any knowledge about that, Glenn Maxwell, I think, well,
- 10:50certainly my father had a background and intelligence during because
- 10:54he was I believe he did in the Second World War.
- 10:57He was an intelligent British intelligence office. I think that
- 11:01my sort of belief is that once you've been an
- 11:04intelligence officer, you're kind of always It doesn't mean that
- 11:08you're formally employed. So I don't think my dad in
- 11:11any formal sense was you know, employed by the agency.
- 11:14But when you are a very significant businessman and politician,
- 11:18as my father was, you meet with people over time
- 11:22and I guess trade, business or ideas. I think if
- 11:26that would fall under that definition, that's how I would
- 11:29give it. Now. He certainly I have no formal knowledge
- 11:32of anything specifically that he did in that thing. But
- 11:35if you're asking me if I thought that he did
- 11:37help people, the answer would be yes, I did, Blanche,
- 11:40did your father and mister Epstein have a business relationship
- 11:43over the years. I know we're maybe jumping around a
- 11:46little bit. Maxwell, they never met, So Blanche cuts her
- 11:49off as far as you know, they never met Maxwell,
- 11:52know I Blanche cuts her off again? Or you know
- 11:55they never met Maxwell. I know they never met, Blanche. Well,
- 11:59how do you know they never met Maxwell? They just
- 12:03categorically I know they never met. Well because after in
- 12:06nineteen ninety one, before my father died, he asked me
- 12:08if I'd met anyone interesting or whatever, you know, because
- 12:12I was still trying not to be sucked back into
- 12:14the family business. And I told him that I had
- 12:17met mister Epstein. And the reason why I shared that
- 12:20I had met mister Epstein because I believed at the
- 12:22time that Epstein worked for Bar of Stearns, and Bar
- 12:25of Stearns was one of our banks. And I knew
- 12:29that my father was friendly with both Jimmy kin and
- 12:31Ace Greenberg. So my dad came was actually in New York.
- 12:35I think if I remember, I may. I don't think
- 12:37I had the conversation on the phone, but I honestly
- 12:40were talking thirty years ago, so I'm not sure. But
- 12:43maybe I told him this verbatim because it happened. I
- 12:47know that what my dad did. Whether I saw it
- 12:50or whether I was told later that, I don't remember.
- 12:54But he called both Jimmy Kine and Ace Greenberg to
- 12:56ask if what sort of guy he was even a
- 13:00because a bunch of mumbling here and she's interrupted by
- 13:04Blanche once again, so they never they never met Maxwell.
- 13:08He didn't even know who he was, Blanche, but they
- 13:11had certainly some of the people it sounds like or
- 13:15certainly the Barristerns connection was something that you know they had. Maxwell. No, well,
- 13:21he never had a connection with Epstein. He had a
- 13:23connection with the bank. I mean Epstein. I'd never heard
- 13:26of him or knew of them before. And I certainly
- 13:29if my dad had known him, right when I said
- 13:32this is who he was, he didn't know who he was. Blanche, Yeah,
- 13:37Maxwell's who he rang A's and he rang Jimmy. So
- 13:41to ask them if it was okay that I even
- 13:43knew him. And I just want to explain briefly why
- 13:46my father would even do such a thing. I had
- 13:49some interesting things that have happened in my life, and
- 13:52one of them was to be found on an IRA
- 13:54kidnapp and murder list. And so after that happened, well
- 13:57there were other related I'm not going to bore you
- 13:59with all the horrible things in that vein, but if
- 14:02you want the details, of course I can. But after
- 14:05that happened, my father wanted to put a lot of
- 14:07protection on me, obviously, and I declined on the grounds
- 14:10that would be a very life restricting event. You were
- 14:13all in law enforcement, I know you understand this, and
- 14:16so he told me that, you know, I would be
- 14:18taking my life into my own hands and then whatever.
- 14:21And so I think after that event and several others
- 14:25where I had stalkers and all the things that one has,
- 14:28he was always quite protective of me, and so if
- 14:32I met somebody, he would try and verify that they
- 14:34weren't going to do anything hideous. And so in this case,
- 14:37he thought it was weird that he would call Jimmy
- 14:40en das it might you know, you may think it is,
- 14:43but from my perspective, it was because he was concerned
- 14:47I was in America alone and he was an opportunity
- 14:50to verify who this person was. And so I don't
- 14:54know if I was in the room with him, I
- 14:56don't recall, but I know that at some point my
- 14:58father told me he's fine. See him, Todd Blanche, Yeah, Maxwell,
- 15:03he's safe, Todd Blanche. Okay, all right, we're gonna wrap
- 15:07up episode one right here, and in the next episode,
- 15:09we're gonna pick up where we left off. All of
- 15:12the information that goes with this episode can be found
- 15:15in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome to
- 15:18another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're
- 15:22picking up where we left off with day one of
- 15:26the Glen Maxwell transcripts Blanche, Well, okay, so we might
- 15:31come back to touch on that a little bit more
- 15:33on the same point. But to that, Maxwell interrupts them. Yeah,
- 15:37Blanche again, I went down a rabbit hole for a minute. Maxwell,
- 15:41That's all right. I just wanted to know. She gets
- 15:45cut off by Blanche. That's helpful, thank you. So, Okay,
- 15:48so you're you're now in the nineties and you're friends
- 15:51with mister Epstein, your house decorating the house or the apartment.
- 15:56What happens with your relationship again. I know we're talking
- 16:00about a thirty five year time period or whatever, but
- 16:02to the extent you kind of at a very high
- 16:05level talk about it, Maxwell, listen, I think just full
- 16:09disclosure is the best way to go at this point. Blanche. Yeah. Maxwell.
- 16:14So in ninety two I slept with them one time,
- 16:16and I was like, whoa, that's it. We're going to
- 16:18be dating because that's what I thought. And I kind
- 16:22of thought of myself in that moment, like because you
- 16:25I felt if you slept with someone that you were
- 16:27dating them. Blanche, Yeah, Maxwell, that's the world I came from.
- 16:32But what really was well, that's how I thought, And
- 16:36but we didn't sleep together again for I don't know,
- 16:39really a significant period of time. And when I say
- 16:42to that, she's cut off by Blanche again, like years
- 16:46or Maxwell. I don't know if it was a year,
- 16:49I don't it feels that long, but maybe nine months.
- 16:52I mean a long time Todd, Blanche Okay, Maxwell and
- 16:56I just want to go back to I had found
- 16:58a house for him to rent to New York because
- 17:01he asked me, and I had been looking for one
- 17:03for my father, and I found one which was a
- 17:05former Iranian embassy I think it was. I think it
- 17:09belonged to the Iranians or the Iraqis or someone. Blanche okay, Maxwell,
- 17:15and I didn't know that he had any money. It was,
- 17:18like I want to say, it was twelve thousand a month,
- 17:21which to me seemed like a fortune. And I said
- 17:24to myself, I found this house, but I don't think
- 17:27you can afford it. He was like, that's ridiculous. Of
- 17:30course I can afford it. And he rented it. And
- 17:33that house came with it was State department house because
- 17:36it was I think was under sequestration or whatever it was.
- 17:41And I put it back together, but there were certain rules.
- 17:44You couldn't paint because it had to go back, and
- 17:46he gave it back to the country. Then, so he
- 17:50had his house and I moved into a ten foot
- 17:52by ten foot apartment because all of our stuff had
- 17:55either been lost or frozen or whatever. So he became
- 18:00in this moment, my lifeline really because I was everything
- 18:03was felt very similar to this moment, if that makes
- 18:06sense anyway. So I had a key to his house,
- 18:09I had no free access to his house, and in
- 18:12the entire time that he lived there, which was I
- 18:14believe until the beginning of nineteen ninety six, I never
- 18:18slept a single night in that house, never ever, not one.
- 18:22Just like I told you folks from the jump, Maxwell
- 18:25was never Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend. People telling you that have
- 18:28been lying to you, Blanche, but you so you said
- 18:33a minute ago that you had slept with them on
- 18:36one occasion. And at that time remember thinking, you know
- 18:39that this meant you were in a relationship, but then
- 18:42it didn't. You really were not in that type of relationship. Maxwell. Well,
- 18:46I thought to that she's cut off by Blanche. Did
- 18:49that change over between ninety one and ninety two, or whatever.
- 18:53And years forward. Maxwell, So I did travel with him
- 18:57a lot, Blanche, Okay, Maxwell, So I would go to
- 19:01his houses in Palm Beach. He only had that house
- 19:03actually in no, that's not true. We had the house
- 19:06in Palm Beach, and he had a house in Ohio, Blanche,
- 19:08and where Maxwell Ohio? Blanche, okay? Maxwell. And he had
- 19:14the house in Ohio because of his business relationship with
- 19:17mister Wexner, and he had and I had to go
- 19:22to decorate and put that house together. When we traveled together,
- 19:25we stayed in the same bed. But not but I didn't, Blanche,
- 19:29go ahead, It's okay. Talk. So if you stayed so
- 19:32when you would travel with him to his house in
- 19:34pom Beach, Ohio, or even just traveling, if it was
- 19:37just traveling with them, you would stay in the same bed.
- 19:40So sleep in the same bed with him, Maxwell, Yes,
- 19:43Blanche okay. Maxwell Epstein told me that he had a
- 19:47heart condition, David Marcus A what Maxwell a heart condition?
- 19:51Marcus heart condition, Blanche A heart condition, okay, Maxwell, which
- 19:57meant that he didn't have intercourse a lot, which suited
- 19:59me fe because I actually do have a medical condition
- 20:02which precludes me from having a lot of intercourse. She
- 20:05just perjured herself. Jeffrey Epstein was having sex with girls
- 20:09three times a day, Todd, Blanche, So what was your
- 20:13understanding of his heart condition and why was it preventing
- 20:16him from having intercourse regularly? Maxwell? I don't know. I
- 20:20mean he liked other forms of sexual activity. Blanche. Well,
- 20:23let's come back. We're going to obviously spend some time,
- 20:27a lot of time on the actual conduct he was
- 20:29accused of. So will Maxwell cuts them off? Okay, what
- 20:33do you mean, accused of the things he was guilty of, right,
- 20:37mister Blanche, You piece of garbage, Todd Blanche, Well, we'll
- 20:41come back to that. So pick up where where you
- 20:44were talking about you traveling around with him. He rented
- 20:46the New York former Iranian house, Maxwell Iranian. There you go. Yeah, Blanche,
- 20:52until around ninety six. At that time, you I believe
- 20:55you said that he was basically your life, like you
- 20:59were with him pretty regularly. Maxwell. Well, I know, Blanche, Okay, Maxwell,
- 21:05So I never was with them regularly, Blanche, Okay, Maxwell,
- 21:09that is one of those misnomers, Blanche, Okay, Maxwell, I
- 21:13mean at the beginning I did see more of them,
- 21:16but I worked in his office, so I would go
- 21:18to the office and I would see him, and I
- 21:21would count in my head when I would see him.
- 21:24I would count that I would that would be a
- 21:26day that I would see him. But I didn't. I never, never,
- 21:29ever stayed with him, I believe, certainly until ninety three
- 21:32or ninety four. What I didn't know was that I
- 21:36think he was still with his actual girlfriend, who was
- 21:39Eva Anderson, who became Eva Dubin. They had been together
- 21:42my understanding, I think about ten years. I'm not sure,
- 21:46but that's what I think, ten years. And I had
- 21:49understood from my girlfriend initially that they weren't together, and
- 21:53Epstein himself told me that they were not together, but
- 21:56I don't think that was true. In fact, I know
- 21:59it's not true. So they were still together up until
- 22:01I think ninety four, when at some point in that
- 22:04period of time even met Glenn Dubin and they got married.
- 22:07I think in ninety four. I don't remember when they
- 22:11got married, but her, she was his best friend and
- 22:14his everything. He told me that he always wished that
- 22:17he had married her and had a child with her,
- 22:20and I know that day she was family for him,
- 22:23for his whole life, and I think even I'm not
- 22:25sure if this is true, but you guys will know
- 22:27if this is true or not when he came from
- 22:30back from Paris and you arrested him. I don't know
- 22:33if Eva was on the plane. Now I think that
- 22:35either I read it in the discovery that I received,
- 22:39or I saw it somewhere. But even if she wasn't
- 22:41on the plane, there must have been some email communication
- 22:44where she was in Paris at the same time and
- 22:47going to fly back one or the other, I don't
- 22:50know which one it is the correct version of that.
- 22:52But so they were still obviously very close and remained
- 22:56throughout the time. In fact, he was still saw a lot.
- 23:01And so I also know now which I didn't know
- 23:04at the time, was that he saw lots of other women.
- 23:07And I know that now because I can see I
- 23:10can see it from the fly logs. I know it
- 23:12now because I can see it from the emails Blanche.
- 23:15So you know from the case, Maxwell, yes, not from
- 23:19Blanche cuts her off, that what happened. Maxwell, Yes, I
- 23:22didn't know. Again, Blanche cuts her off. You didn't know
- 23:26that along the way, Maxwell, I was contemporaneously. I absolutely
- 23:31did not know at the time, Blanche, So okay, So
- 23:35just and we're going to spend time on everything you're
- 23:37talking about, but just kind of close out the big
- 23:40picture of your relationship. So we're now in the late nineties,
- 23:44continue on with again saying or staying high level to
- 23:48the extent you can about your relationship with them. Maxwell.
- 23:52So after my responsibility is increased with each acquisition that
- 23:56he had in each new project. So I believe the
- 23:59first thing that he purchased after was the ranch in
- 24:02New Mexico. Blanche, Okay, Maxwell, And so what he had
- 24:06tasked me with up until that, and I think that
- 24:09was purchased in ninety four, if I'm right. So he
- 24:11had tasked me. One of the things that we did
- 24:13was visit in my mind, I say every state, but
- 24:16it wouldn't have been every state, but many states to
- 24:19go look at real estate property. So I know we
- 24:22went to Montana, I know we went to Utah. It
- 24:25was it was to go look at real estate. It
- 24:27was fun, to be honest. And then I arranged for
- 24:31us to go to New Mexico and he just loved
- 24:33New Mexico. And then I don't remember how the ranch happened.
- 24:36I don't remember that now it's lost. And then he
- 24:39ended up buying the ranch, and I think, if I'm right,
- 24:42it came from well, the kings, who may have been
- 24:45the governor I you know, bought the ranch and then
- 24:49I had to deal with that. Dealing with that was
- 24:52the extent of it. The way that I thought of myself,
- 24:56or the way that I think is the best way
- 24:58to explain how my I view my role was as
- 25:01a general manager, because each property to me was like
- 25:04a hotel. So the ranch was very challenging because not
- 25:08only that, but it had BLM land, so it helped
- 25:11maintain your BLM. You have to have cattle, and I
- 25:14love animals, so the first thing horses, and so I
- 25:17wanted it. If you're going to have a ranch, I
- 25:20like authenticity, and so I don't think you should have
- 25:22a ranch if you're not going to have the things
- 25:24that make it special. Blanche, so were you? Were you
- 25:28paid by him along the way? Maxwell, So I to
- 25:31that Blanche cuts her off. During this time, Maxwell, I
- 25:34became salaried at some point, Blanche, Okay, Maxwell, My memory
- 25:39is I got paid twenty five thousand dollars a year
- 25:41to begin with. That's my memory, I may be wrong,
- 25:45And then with each as it became obvious, because I
- 25:47kept thinking I was going to go home home being England,
- 25:51and but to that Blanche cuts her off. Did you
- 25:54and financially you were not relying on them the twenty
- 25:57five thousand or whatever amount you were paid. Were you
- 26:00relying on that money to live and did generosity to live?
- 26:03Or did you have your own money? Maxwell? So there's
- 26:07he cuts her off again and again. I want to
- 26:09just make sure we're talking about that, like keeping it
- 26:12between like the late nineties, you know, maybe I guess
- 26:15into a little of the two thousands, glam Maxwell. I
- 26:19just want to hit something on the head right now.
- 26:21There's a tremendous amount of reporting that said that I had.
- 26:26She gets cut off by Leah Saphine a trust fund? Maxwell,
- 26:30thank you? A trust fund. I have never had a
- 26:32trust fund at any time. Marcus, So, how did you live?
- 26:36Did you live with? I mean, twenty five thousand dollars
- 26:39is not enough to live on? Maxwell? No, So I
- 26:42had during this period of time, the Secret the Serious
- 26:45Fraud Squad had come to see me in relation to
- 26:47my father's passing and to establish whether I had been
- 26:50involved in any way with his business or any shenanigans.
- 26:55I think I told this story many times, so I
- 26:57don't know if it's now somewhat at all, but I'll
- 27:01tell you what it what my memory is. So I
- 27:03received a letter from them that said about my business,
- 27:06and my memory may be apocry full. There was a
- 27:09ps that said, unintelligible, I had nothing. There was no
- 27:14I was never involved in any of his businesses whatsoever.
- 27:17So I was free, Blanche. And were you so your
- 27:20You know, obviously your father and your family had a
- 27:23lot of businesses. Is it because of the money. Whatever
- 27:27money or whatever equity was in the business just stayed
- 27:30with your other family members. Maxwell, No, there was no money.
- 27:34So my father was never attached to money. He was
- 27:37born a peasant or real one dirt floor, no shoes
- 27:40or clothes. Some clothes, but not you know, Sorry, I
- 27:43don't mean to say nothing. And he never he was
- 27:46never into that. I mean there were things that he had,
- 27:49his extravagances. He loved his boat and his plane, so
- 27:52obviously you need money for that, but there was no
- 27:55nothing else. There was not a single penny that came
- 27:58to any of us at any time ever, Blanche. Okay,
- 28:02So when you're talking about your life with Epstein in
- 28:04the nineties, you're not very different financially. You're a very
- 28:09different financially position than he is. Oh, here we go.
- 28:12This is all about making her a victim. That's what
- 28:14this is. You should be disgusted by this bullshit. Oh
- 28:18poor Maxwell was only making twenty five g's a year, Blanche,
- 28:23meaning he'd give you money. He's paying for you when
- 28:26you fly. I assume he pays for your flights. Maxwell. Yes, Blanche, okay,
- 28:31So you I interrupted you when you were saying how
- 28:33you were functioning as a general manager, you help with
- 28:36the new Mexico ranch. So did you your role with
- 28:39him continue like that for many years? Or for how long? Maxwell?
- 28:43So I continued in two thousand. Well, in ninety nine,
- 28:46our relationship had foundered, Blanche. Why? Maxwell, Well, two reasons.
- 28:51We were never sleeping together again. So we stopped having
- 28:54sexual relations in ninety nine. Not full sex. Sorry, just
- 28:57to be clear. Didn't mean that we didn't still share
- 29:00a bedroom sometimes or whatever. He had another girlfriend, Blanche,
- 29:05He had what Maxwell other girlfriends. I definitively knew that
- 29:09it was over after nine to eleven actually because we
- 29:12were both in New York and I don't know were
- 29:15you in New York on nine eleven? I mean nine
- 29:17to eleven. It was a scary time and if you
- 29:20were in New York, you didn't know. I didn't know,
- 29:22nobody knew what was going on. And he was in
- 29:24the seventy first Street and I was in sixty fifth
- 29:27Street at my house, and he wouldn't see me at all,
- 29:30asked me his mom, who I'm very close to, who
- 29:33was in the hospital at Lenox Hill, just asked me
- 29:35to look after her. And then I knew, as anyone
- 29:38did at the time, if you're not going to be
- 29:40there for someone in nine to eleven, you're never going
- 29:42to be there. So for me, that was the line's end.
- 29:46And he had another English girlfriend actually from two thousand. Blanche,
- 29:50Are you though still being paid by him by at
- 29:53this point Maxwell, Yes, Blanche, Okay, so go ahead. So
- 29:58at that point when you say you're I realized kind
- 30:00of it was over. Maxwell, Well, I mean I'm talking
- 30:04about I had there was I wanted to get married
- 30:07and have children, and Epstein had encouraged me to believe
- 30:11that would I don't know about the certainly by the
- 30:13mid late nineties, I knew the marriage part was never
- 30:16going to happen. I had believed that maybe in ninety six,
- 30:20ninety seven, ninety eight, maybe, But then I realized I
- 30:23wasn't that. But I did think that we might have
- 30:26a child, which is what I really wanted, and I
- 30:29realized to that. Blanche cuts her off. So okay, so
- 30:32what happens between two thousand and one then twenty nineteen
- 30:36with your relationship with them? All right, we're gonna wrap
- 30:39up right here, and in the next episode dealing with
- 30:41the topic, we're gonna pick up where we left off.
- 30:44All of the information that goes with this episode can
- 30:46be found in the description box. What's up, everyone, and
- 30:50welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode,
- 30:54we're picking up where we left off with the Glenn
- 30:57Maxwell transcript from July twenty four Blanche, So, okay, so
- 31:02what happened between two thousand and one and then twenty
- 31:05nineteen with your relationship with them? Give her take two
- 31:09thousand and one, Maxwell, So we stopped having physicality. I
- 31:12mean that doesn't mean we weren't friends. I certainly did
- 31:15stay sometimes in his room. I mean friends with benefits
- 31:19if you will just not sex. Sorry. And I started
- 31:22dating Blanche, okay, Maxwell, and I met someone that I
- 31:26fell very much in love with in two thousand and three.
- 31:29His name was Ted Waite. Ted Waite you may know
- 31:32as the founder of Gateway the computers, and we had
- 31:35an amazing relationship that ended went on until twenty ten,
- 31:39I think, and I was with Ted from that time, Blanche,
- 31:43Did you meet him through mister Epstein? Maxwell? No, well, indirectly,
- 31:47I suppose you could say so. No, they'd never met.
- 31:51I was at a dinner party where I met Ted,
- 31:53but it wasn't I was with President Clinton. President Clinton
- 31:58was my friend, not Epstein's friend. And Epstein was flown
- 32:01him and there was a dinner and Ted came to
- 32:04the dinner. So I guess indirectly through mister Epstein because
- 32:08it was with his plane. But I'd have been there
- 32:11anyway without him. I had had not the And as
- 32:14Glenn Maxwell is stammering, her lawyer David Marcus steps in,
- 32:19was Epstein on the plane when you guys flew Maxwell
- 32:21on the trip? Yes? Well yes they that, yes, Blanche.
- 32:26So when you say they the dinner, what was that?
- 32:31Maxwell in Hong Kong, Blanche, okay, And so you had
- 32:35flown over with So who was on the plane for
- 32:37that trip? I don't mean everybody when you said so,
- 32:40mister Epstein was on the plane. Maxwell, Yes, Blanche, you
- 32:44were on the plane. Maxwell, Yes, Blanche. Who else that
- 32:47you can remember? I'm not you know, you only remember
- 32:50what you remember. Marcus was President Clinton on the plane, Maxwell, Clinton,
- 32:55he would have he would have had his guy Doug Vance,
- 32:59maybe Ja Cooper, maybe the two Todd Blanche, And and so,
- 33:05why so how did you meet So? Why did you
- 33:07say that's when you met him, and that you met
- 33:11him through Clinton? Maxwell? Well, it was I don't think
- 33:15Ted would have been there had it not been. It
- 33:18was a President Clinton dinner, and Ted came to be
- 33:20with President Clinton. Blanche, I see Maxwell, not to be
- 33:24with mister Epstein. Does that make sense, Blanche? Yes? Maxwell,
- 33:29That's why I say that, Blanche. Okay. So you're you're
- 33:32in a time when you're dating that, you're with him
- 33:35into two thousand and nine. Are you still working for
- 33:38mister Epstein during that time? Maxwell? So it'd be true
- 33:43to say that Jeffrey tried very hard. He tried very
- 33:46hard to keep me working for him, because this is
- 33:49a complex operator. I'm not talking about anything on the ward,
- 33:53just the sheer size of the projects. I'm talking the
- 33:56construction projects, the houses, the staff. It's really a significant job.
- 34:01And I ran all the properties, the staff in the properties,
- 34:04the management of the properties, and all the construction. And
- 34:08we're talking tens of millions of dollars for the island alone.
- 34:11I can't remember what the budget was for the construction
- 34:14on any given year. It's gone. But these are very
- 34:18significant projects. And so that's what I did. I managed
- 34:21the budgets. Well, not I didn't manage the budgets. I
- 34:25oversaw the budgets. So I would just make sure that
- 34:28if you said you bought an air conditioning part, I
- 34:31saw an air conditioning part, and I could call the
- 34:33island manager, did you receive the carrier whatever? You know? Blanche.
- 34:38When did mister Epstein purchase the island, Glenn Maxwell, I
- 34:41want to say ninety six or ninety seven, something like that, Blanche. Okay,
- 34:46So we're going to come back and spend more time
- 34:48on the money with respect to mister Epstein and his wealth,
- 34:52but just so we can finish this. So in two
- 34:55thousand and nine, you end your relationship with Ted Maxwell nine,
- 35:00I'm twenty ten, Blanche, okay, Maxwell, I can't remember if
- 35:04it was twenty ten, Blanche okay. So in that time period,
- 35:08what happens next? As far as your relationship with mister Epstein, Maxwell,
- 35:13I don't have one with him, Blanche, you don't have
- 35:16one with him, like you don't see him or it's
- 35:18just a different relationship. Maxwell. I did see I maybe
- 35:23saw him once or twice, maybe even three times. I
- 35:26certainly went to his house once for sure, maybe twice.
- 35:29But I was not seeing him. The only time I
- 35:32was in touch with him was when things happened, like
- 35:35things I mean in the press that affected me, or
- 35:38the CVR case that was filed and there was like
- 35:40rubbish that went out because I needed information because I
- 35:44didn't know, I didn't know anything about what was happening,
- 35:47and I needed his help a to understand. Well, that
- 35:50doesn't sound right. Let me rephrase that. I don't mean
- 35:52his help. I meant to have answers so that I
- 35:55had an ability to defend myself. That's what I'm talking about.
- 35:58I'm not talking about any She's cut off by Blanche.
- 36:02So when does that relationship change, So you're working you
- 36:06talked about when your physical relationship stopped, and then you're
- 36:10still working for him or with the managing his properties
- 36:13and being and serving as like a general manager. You
- 36:16then start your own relationship with another individual with Ted
- 36:20from two thousand and three to two thousand and nine
- 36:22or ten, At what point in that whole period is
- 36:25there like more of a break where you're no longer
- 36:28acting as a general manager? Maxwell, I wanted to have
- 36:32a full break when I started dating Ted, and he
- 36:35was clever. I suppose it would be true to say
- 36:38that I sort of viewed mister Epstein at that point
- 36:40as sort of family, if you will, like someone I
- 36:43could rely on, and I should have had more confidence
- 36:46in myself. I can see that now, but at the time,
- 36:49given everything that had happened in my life, I thought
- 36:52it would and I saw how he was with other
- 36:55people like Eva, who seemed to be very comfortable with him,
- 36:58and I thought this would be He always said I
- 37:01was like family, so he worked hard to make maintain
- 37:04a relationship with me. He was generous with me. He
- 37:08let me use the plane, for instance, which was very generous.
- 37:11He would check in with mom. He did things that
- 37:14were meaningful to me in that time, and then it
- 37:17may still not have worked. But his mother, Paula, had
- 37:21been in a very serious car crash. She had become
- 37:24sort of like a surrogate mother for me, sort of
- 37:27because my mom wasn't there, so I could look out
- 37:30for her the way I would have looked out for
- 37:32my own mom. So I became very close to his mother.
- 37:36And she had been in a car crash, and in
- 37:38two thousand and four, I believe it may have been
- 37:40two thousand and five, I don't recall exactly. She took
- 37:43her health took a serious decline, and Epstein called me
- 37:46and asked me if I could look after her. And
- 37:48by looking after her, that meant organizing her doctors, making
- 37:52sure she had new clothes, making sure her house was clean.
- 37:56Marcus Maxwell's lawyer interjects, where where was she Maxwell? She
- 38:02lived in a retirement establishment outside of Palm Beach, outside
- 38:06West Palm Beach. I was going to say something like
- 38:09the Golden Girls, but it's not called that. I just
- 38:11don't remember what it's called. But it was an old age,
- 38:14it was a retirement home, if you will, Marcus Todd,
- 38:17I don't know. We've been going for maybe about an hour. Now.
- 38:20Do you think this is a good time to Blanche? Yeah, yeah,
- 38:24so we'll take him in a break. Nice to see
- 38:26that David Marcus is running the show. What a clown,
- 38:28this David Marcus dude is anyway, Spencer Horn, all right,
- 38:33so we're going to take a break. The time is
- 38:35ten fifty six. Break at ten fifty six until eleven
- 38:40oh seven am. Spencer Horn, We're continuing the proffer interview
- 38:44of Miss Maxwell. The time is eleven oh seven am
- 38:47on Thursday, July twenty fourth, Blanche. Al right, so just
- 38:52picking up where we stopped, you have basically a break,
- 38:55well not a break, that's the wrong word, but your
- 38:58relationship with Miss mack professional and other changes in two
- 39:02thousand and three, two thousand and four Maxwell. Yeah, I
- 39:06mean over the time that I will stay with Ted.
- 39:09The more time I spent with Ted, the more distance
- 39:12I have with him. And when the arrest, well, let's
- 39:15go back when whatever happened in two thousand and five,
- 39:19and he became arrested in two thousand and six, Blanche,
- 39:22So when he was charged and arrested in what we'll
- 39:25call the Florida investigations. That's what you're talking about. Maxwell,
- 39:29I am Blanche, Okay, go ahead, Maxwell, So I was
- 39:34not well, Blanche cuts her off. Well where you're part
- 39:37of that investigation? Maxwell? Absolutely not, Blanche. Did law enforcement
- 39:42ever talk to you as part of that, Maxwell no Blanche?
- 39:47Did you like the Feds never talked to you, Maxwell
- 39:50no Blanche, The FBI never talked to you, Maxwell no Blanche?
- 39:55Do you know to that she's he's cut off by Maxwell.
- 39:58I never even received a phone call, Blanche? Did you
- 40:01didn't you get subpoenas? Maxwell no Blanche? Did the state
- 40:06law enforcement ever reach out to you? Maxwell no blanche,
- 40:10as far as you know, did the government, either state
- 40:12or federal, subpoena your bank records or subpoena anything from
- 40:16your financial life during that time? During that time? Maxwell, No,
- 40:21not as far as I'm aware now. If they did,
- 40:24I didn't know about it, and I have no idea
- 40:26about that, to be honest, But I'm not aware of it,
- 40:29and I would say no. But maybe you guys do
- 40:31things that I don't know. Blanche, So how did you
- 40:35learn of that case when mister Epstein was arrested or
- 40:38did you know that something was happening before then. Maxwell.
- 40:42The first thing I knew was when he told me
- 40:45he was deciding to redecorate his house in Palm Beach.
- 40:48It didn't surprise me. It was like a rolling situation, Blanche.
- 40:53But by that time, are you doing like he tells
- 40:56you because he wants your help or your relationship changed?
- 40:59By this time, I'm where you were no longer kind
- 41:02of acting as his general manager. Maxwell. No, I was
- 41:06still around, Blanche, Okay, Maxwell, I wasn't gone. I was
- 41:10with Ted, I was traveling. I wasn't daily. If you
- 41:13would ask me where he was at any given time,
- 41:16I'm not sure I would have known then. I mean
- 41:18it was I felt like I suppose the relationship moved
- 41:21into sort of like the long term friendly family, you know,
- 41:25like she's cut off again by Blanche like I felt
- 41:29he had with Eva. If I'm honest, Blanche. Yeah, Okay.
- 41:33So he says to you he's going to redecorate the
- 41:36Palm Beach house. Maxwell. He asked me specifically which decorator
- 41:40he thinks he should use, because I had a lot
- 41:43of contacts with decorators, and he was not very good
- 41:46with people. He was useless at maintaining relationships with people
- 41:49who work for him. I'm not so anyways, I recommended
- 41:53I think I recommended. I can't be one hundred percent
- 41:55sure because it's been a long time, but I think
- 41:58I recommended Mark at the time. Blanche Who, Glenn, Maxwell,
- 42:04Mark Zeff, Blanche Okay, Maxwell, I believe. I don't know why.
- 42:09I don't remember. That's all lost to time. But anyway,
- 42:12at some point, I think his mother had died. Now
- 42:15I can't remember the timing of all that either, Blanche Okay, Maxwell.
- 42:20But I ended up in Palm Beach and he asked
- 42:22me to come and look at the watches or whatever
- 42:25he was doing, because they had laid it all over
- 42:28the house and various things, and I think he'd ask
- 42:31for my opinion. That's my memory of this. It may
- 42:35also be that Ted and I were going to Palm
- 42:37Beach because Ted had a golf match or something. There
- 42:40was a reason I was in pom Beach. It wasn't solely.
- 42:43Maybe that's not true either. I don't know so to
- 42:46that she's cut off by Blanche Okay, then Maxwell, you know,
- 42:50sometimes I went to pom Beach because Ted was there.
- 42:54I don't know if that's part of that time, Blanche, okay,
- 42:57go ahead, Maxwell or Ted went and left. I don't
- 43:00know something anyway, I was there. No, that's not how
- 43:04that went either. No, anyway, at some point in that time,
- 43:07I was all this swatches. At some point in two
- 43:10thousand and five, I think that was. And then I
- 43:13believe or I don't remember. I think I got a
- 43:15phone call. Actually I wasn't in Palm Beach. I think
- 43:19I got a phone call that there was police at
- 43:21his house or something, Blanche. And would you have gotten
- 43:25a phone call from him, or do you think that
- 43:27you were just told by somebody that knew that it
- 43:29had happened, or don't you remember? Maxwell? Definitely not him,
- 43:34Blanche Okay, Maxwell, I think it would have been the houseman, Blanche.
- 43:39So when that happens, whenever it was, that's kind of
- 43:42the first time you know about mister Epstein being investigated
- 43:45for Maxwell cuts him off and even know I didn't
- 43:47even understand Blanche Okay, Maxwell, I didn't have a context
- 43:52for that. Blanche Okay. Maxwell, it was like I didn't know,
- 43:56I didn't know Blanche okay. So after Maxwell cuts them
- 44:00off again, I'm not sure even what I thought. I
- 44:03was like, that's weird, Blanche. So after after you find
- 44:07out about it, what happens with your relationship with them?
- 44:11All Right, we're gonna wrap up right here, and in
