- 0:00There's a lot of noise around Bitcoin prices, predictions,
- 0:04opinions. Discovery usually happens in the
- 0:07quiet moments. Hard Block keeps things simple.
- 0:11Flat fees, no spreads, and a calm place to learn At
- 0:15learn.hardblock.com dot AU, the. I see the world through an
- 0:20entirely different lens. It doesn't just give you
- 0:24confidence, but it gives you. Hope.
- 0:29I think like. We're squandering our energy,
- 0:31our life force so. Bitcoin is changing that for me.
- 0:34Bitcoin, it's like it's healing energy.
- 0:38It gives you a kind of. Of a Zen.
- 0:42Feeling right, deep and deep and deep, and the immortal words of
- 0:48the doors, The time to hesitate us through discovering.
- 1:19Clapton, What's going on, man? Hey, DJ.
- 1:23Hey, nice to talk with you. Yeah, man, it's nice to talk
- 1:26with you. I I, I actually like, I
- 1:30genuinely enjoy the played chats.
- 1:33The chats, particularly those that I found are Nosta.
- 1:37It's like a whole other level of authenticity.
- 1:39And I know that might sound sort of preening, maybe boasting or
- 1:44something like it's like, oh, if you're not a Nosta, you're not
- 1:47cool. But that's kind of true.
- 1:48To be honest, if you're still hanging around Bitcoin Twitter,
- 1:52which you know, I do tend to do from time to time, but it's
- 1:56pretty, it's pretty awful. It's not like it was.
- 2:00And Nosta's kind of just a whole lot more uplifting, basically.
- 2:05Yeah, yeah. I feel that there's kind of this
- 2:08kind of filter in Noster, so we can filter, filter out all
- 2:13those, I don't know, noises or spans, things like that.
- 2:18Yeah, I agree. I agree.
- 2:21Filter. It's it is like a natural
- 2:23filter. If you can't be bothered to
- 2:26literally log into a Noster client and get given Nansac and
- 2:29look after it, you know, have fun yeah, staying in the
- 2:35mainstream or whatever. I don't know what that mean.
- 2:38Would. Yeah, you know.
- 2:41Yeah, so, so I, I was really happy when I yeah, I got a reply
- 2:46from you because, you know, I listen to your podcast and you
- 2:49say, yeah, if you want to share, just to hit me on the on noise
- 2:54on Noster. And so you want to be in the pod
- 2:57and I just give it a try. At first.
- 2:59I, I actually, I, I hesitate for a month or two, you know, after
- 3:03I hear that message, but I was like, that's kind of the new
- 3:07year resolution, you know, after new year I was like, no, I have
- 3:10to reach out. I I, yeah, I want to share.
- 3:13I want to yes, to see share my story, share my experience even
- 3:17though I don't run anything, you know, but I, I was trying run to
- 3:23run a Bitcoin podcast, but then then I then I stopped.
- 3:27But but I have some other ideas. So yeah, I just want to share,
- 3:32you know, to do something. I'm glad you heeded the message,
- 3:35man, because you know, it's genuine.
- 3:39Obviously you're here and you know, Boomer was also another
- 3:43that reached out and there's been a couple of others in the
- 3:47pipeline. But like, this is the thing, as
- 3:49I said, I think on that Rhombus read was, you know, the chats
- 3:53with the plebs, the chats with the people that aren't on the,
- 3:59you know, the D list Bitcoin celebrity.
- 4:02And that's not to be disparaging, but I mean, there's
- 4:06just a little bit more. I don't know, maybe there's just
- 4:10there's a little less to lose or something all that then that
- 4:13haven't like constructed some, you know, 250,000 follower Rep
- 4:18that they have to kind of abide by or whatever they get.
- 4:20I don't know, I feel like that does tend to exist in, in, in
- 4:24Bitcoin, just like in any space, you know, And that's fine.
- 4:27It's perfectly natural. And I've had plenty of awesome
- 4:30chats with, you know, people that that are kind of
- 4:35influencers, so to speak. But yeah, anyway, dude, you're
- 4:40here. Let's ask the question.
- 4:43How did you discover Bitcoin? Yeah, it is.
- 4:49It is. I kind of want to start from the
- 4:54beginning, if that's OK, like a like quite long story, of
- 4:57course. And yeah, it is.
- 5:00It's kind of starting from, it's not really directly start to big
- 5:05point, but I want to, I have some, you know, need a mental
- 5:11stress, mental anxiety, you know, from daily life.
- 5:15It's not like I have that the how to say situation.
- 5:17It's just normal working life. But I was working in a small
- 5:21startup company and it was like very cool and it is like very
- 5:27innovative. So I was like a material
- 5:30engineer. So it was all good.
- 5:33But I have this stress about the work because it's a small
- 5:38company and it doesn't give us good salary or good
- 5:43arrangements. And then I was asking help from
- 5:49a coach and then he introduced me to these three principles.
- 5:55I don't know, have you ever heard but these three principles
- 5:57talking about your mental, how to say situation, like
- 6:03everything we experience is from these three principles, which is
- 6:07mind, thoughts and consciousness.
- 6:11So when I talk with him about ah, I'm feel so bad because of
- 6:14my job, because of my low salary, because of this, but is
- 6:18it? No, it's actually.
- 6:20I mean, those things can still be true, but what you feel is
- 6:26from your mind, thoughts, consciousness.
- 6:28Yes. So on the other hand, you have
- 6:32to be kind of responsible also for those things like you know,
- 6:38it, it is coming from you how to say, yeah, you know, your, your
- 6:42inner experience of, of all these.
- 6:46Yeah. It's like how you're receiving
- 6:49the information and then passing it through your psychological
- 6:53filters. And how exactly.
- 6:55And if those psychological filters are a little dirty,
- 6:59maybe there's a little bit of a few bugs on the windshield,
- 7:03Yeah. You know, you're probably not
- 7:04going to see as clearly. And like, it's really hard to
- 7:07cultivate a gratitude like at it that a grateful attitude when,
- 7:16Yeah. Like, you don't, you don't have
- 7:18that. You can't see clearly, you know?
- 7:21Yeah. No.
- 7:22So. Yeah.
- 7:23And you can you can see clearly and also like what you feel is
- 7:29it's like, you know, it's like a kind of a reflection, you know,
- 7:32of the outside world. But here what your experience is
- 7:35actually the yeah, your your inner mind and thoughts.
- 7:42Because it's actually very funny.
- 7:43After a few years after I talked with that coach, then I start
- 7:49applying other job and then I switch to another job.
- 7:52Now I have now and you know, I have other sets of problems now,
- 7:57you know, it's I have a better salary, but you know, there are
- 8:01other kind of problems. And then I start talking with
- 8:04this coach again. So and and then I revisit all
- 8:08this concept. So it's, you know, it's a it's a
- 8:11never ending journey, kind of like the the Bitcoin journey
- 8:15journey. I, I would come to later how I
- 8:18discovered it, but I feel it's really relevant in some way
- 8:23because yeah, later on I, I, I start to get more into this
- 8:30three principal journey. So I listen to a lot of podcasts
- 8:33about it. And then there is one guy called
- 8:36Jamie Smart and his podcast I listen to about these things, 3
- 8:42principles. And in one his episodes, the,
- 8:46the guest is Jeff Booth. So I have never heard anything
- 8:51about Bitcoin before and never into this crypto thing.
- 8:55I, I, you know, if someone mentioned I thought I just, it's
- 8:59a scam or, you know, it's this kind of thing because I have 0
- 9:03knowledge about it. But then I hear this pockets and
- 9:08Jack Booth is talking and almost like 90% or 80% of the pockets
- 9:13they're talking about, you know, coaching and the self
- 9:16development. And of course, I both mention a
- 9:20little bit about technology and things like that.
- 9:23And I was always intrigued about technology because of my work.
- 9:27And also I'm thinking, you know, if if we compare ourself with
- 9:32with people 100 or 200 years ago and we are living now like a
- 9:38team back then, right? We have a hot water, we have
- 9:41electricity, we have, I don't know, 65 inch TV I got 2200
- 9:48years ago. It's who can have that?
- 9:50Like you can have unlimited movies.
- 9:53You probably spend one hour deciding which movie to watch
- 9:56it. Oh.
- 9:57Man, I'm old enough to remember. I used to.
- 10:01There's a kid up the street, I think he was, I don't mean a
- 10:05cousin, actually, I think about it.
- 10:08But we go to his house and he had like one of those rear
- 10:10projection TV's. I don't know if you recall one
- 10:13of those, but they were like these massive TV's, like they're
- 10:16as big as like a, you know, a big TV nowadays, but.
- 10:20Like like a projector or yeah. They took like a, they took like
- 10:22a massive space in the lounge room and they were like they had
- 10:26this sort of rear like cathode ray tube type device behind it
- 10:33sort of projecting. I'm pretty sure that's what it
- 10:35was. Anyway, these things were
- 10:36massive, man. And like, I remember you'd walk
- 10:39into this house and like, damn, this guy's got money, you know?
- 10:42Like this is, Yeah, this is pretty good.
- 10:46Yeah, yeah. And you see the TV back then it
- 10:50is like like a cubic, right? Like a so thick and now it is
- 10:55the so thick. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:57Yeah. Now they're just even thin.
- 10:59But you're right, like I mean we are surrounded by material
- 11:03possessions and we do not want for really anything.
- 11:08Yeah, when it comes down to it in terms of material things.
- 11:12Because if you think about all the days that people think, what
- 11:18if I got all this money, all this material thing, I will be
- 11:21happy. But actually, yeah, nowadays, if
- 11:24you compare, we are living much better than the people, you
- 11:28know, 100 years ago. But we really feel happy or
- 11:32content, you know, every day or. No, Well, not.
- 11:37Not at all. Or.
- 11:39Or it's even worse because now we are surrounded by all the,
- 11:43you know, influencer and showing off their trip to anywhere, you
- 11:47know, compare ourselves to them. Yeah.
- 11:50So I was, yeah. There's a famous quote by Jim
- 11:54Carrey. It's really cool.
- 11:56And he says, I think everybody, what is it?
- 11:59Basically, everyone should get rich and famous and then like do
- 12:03all the things that they've ever dreamed of so that they can see
- 12:06that it's it's not the answer. You know, being rich and famous
- 12:11is not the. Answer.
- 12:12Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 12:14And with nowadays, with AI technology, maybe everyone can
- 12:17be, you know, rich and famous in in, in one source of weight,
- 12:22right? You can be ACEO in your own
- 12:24company. You only have to go on Twitter
- 12:27to look at the AI chat that's you think everyone on there has
- 12:30all got their code, what's working and it's like exactly
- 12:32that. It's.
- 12:33Like fucking hell. Yeah, exactly.
- 12:36Yeah. But I mean in the future maybe
- 12:40you everyone should. I think nowadays really you have
- 12:43to think what you really like to do or you know so so that in The
- 12:53Who knows what happened, you know this AI development speed
- 12:57and yeah, anyway, in that pockets.
- 13:01So in the end, Jabu mentioned I think slightly about this
- 13:06Bitcoin and showing that this is the because this is the real of
- 13:11the indicator you can show in the technology has the impacts
- 13:15on society, which is deflation because society because before
- 13:21that I have never heard of deflation.
- 13:24Like I don't even know there's such a thing exist.
- 13:28And it's like what it should be inflation.
- 13:30You know, everything should be just more expensive and I have
- 13:33never crashed that. It's like, yeah, everything
- 13:38should be more expensive and why?
- 13:40I don't know. And yeah, so after that I, I
- 13:48started discovering Bitcoin and I started reading Jeff Booth's
- 13:51book The Price of Tomorrow and just be amazed about what you
- 13:56mentioned in the book that I read Bitcoin Standard, The
- 14:00Broken Money and just, you know, deep, deep down into the rabbit
- 14:04hole you. Get that?
- 14:06That whole framing, your whole world gets turned upside down.
- 14:10Like you read that Jeff Booth book and he mentions Bitcoin
- 14:14like in a sentence, I think towards the end.
- 14:18But your whole POV on the world is upended basically.
- 14:23And you're like, oh, I never realized like the denominator
- 14:29was completely, you know, cooked.
- 14:31And yeah, so. So you're listening to Jeff
- 14:36Booth, just to clarify here, you kind of accidentally stumbled
- 14:39upon this Bitcoin thing because you're listening to this
- 14:41particular podcast to try and what find specific techniques
- 14:46to, you know, get over some mental humps and.
- 14:50Hurdles, mental health and. Then clarity.
- 14:53Bitcoin is sort of entering accidentally.
- 14:58Yeah, it's showing up. And actually, I want to mention
- 15:02another thing is like one month, one month before I hear them
- 15:06that podcast, I was in Japan, like I was travelling in Japan.
- 15:10And I don't know if you ever travel to Japan or, you know,
- 15:13there are a lot of temples in Japan that you can, you know,
- 15:17you can get some kind of this, you know, lucky charm thing like
- 15:22you, you want health or you want, you know, just wish, wish
- 15:28for something. And I got this thing for wish
- 15:32for like success in, in business or in, you know, in wealth
- 15:38property. And I was like, yeah, I, I just
- 15:41get it for yeah, for, for just traveling there.
- 15:45I get it. But there, I think it's somehow
- 15:49one month later I hear this podcast because I have never,
- 15:52you know, chances to, to, to have the Bitcoin information.
- 15:58So I think somehow, you know, universe or some, something
- 16:02probably working and introduce Bitcoin to me.
- 16:05I think that's very, yeah, it's very cool.
- 16:09Yeah, it kind of bubbles up from your unconscious, I reckon that.
- 16:14I mean, going back to what you're saying before about what
- 16:16your coach was saying, it reminded me of the Cobalion.
- 16:19And the number one, the first principle of those seven is the
- 16:21principle of mentalism. The universe is a mental
- 16:25creation of the all, suggesting reality is ultimately shaped by
- 16:28the mind. And I think about that a lot.
- 16:33Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
- 16:36Because nowadays it's also like, you know, the cancel culture,
- 16:39right? It's like on DJ, it's because
- 16:43you say something, I feel so bad.
- 16:46Oh, we, we feel so bad. So we have to cancel you because
- 16:50you say those things. But no, it's you have to be
- 16:53responsible for your own feelings, your your own things.
- 16:57Not under socialism you don't. If anything, you get a power.
- 17:02Yeah, exactly. You're wrong.
- 17:04Exactly. Being a cock and a loser and a
- 17:06person that has splits. The shit.
- 17:08Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:11But on the flip side, what? What do you gain from those
- 17:14things? Right.
- 17:14OK, now you are. You are officially recognised as
- 17:18a loser. OK.
- 17:19Are you more? Are you happier now?
- 17:22No. Right you are.
- 17:22You're like in this victim depression or something, right?
- 17:27You're like, oh, I, I'm a victim.
- 17:29So I have to leave on the government support.
- 17:33I cannot do anything. But yeah.
- 17:37Are you really happy in that way, or are you really
- 17:40satisfied? I mean, you, you said, yeah,
- 17:42before like you're working in a start up and you've been in tech
- 17:46for a long time and that's a very creative industry.
- 17:52It can also be quite stressful, of course, because you're trying
- 17:54to be strap something maybe like a little bit of capital.
- 17:58So that can stifle your creativity.
- 18:02And I, I noticed like this in, in plenty of businesses, like I
- 18:05used to, to work in around agriculture.
- 18:08And I would notice that the horticulturalists that would be
- 18:13working out in the field amongst the, you know, on the actual
- 18:19farm with the plants and the animals, whatever it is they
- 18:22would like in order to progress in their career, they had to get
- 18:25closer and closer to the office to the point where they're in on
- 18:27the desk and they get further and further away from that thing
- 18:30that inside them in the first place.
- 18:33You know, and then that can crush your creativity.
- 18:35And you know, you can see easily where our victim mindset would
- 18:40arise, particularly in a Fiat system, because it's basically
- 18:42toxic, You know, it's quite literally poison running in the
- 18:46bloodstream, you know, via the money, via the economy.
- 18:49And it's going to have a whole bunch of down regulating effects
- 18:54on people's ability to, to cultivate a creative mindset and
- 19:02attitude. You know, so you, you, you, you
- 19:05hear Jeff Booth, he's talking about Bitcoin.
- 19:09You're like, damn, I need to learn a little bit more about
- 19:11this thing. You read his book.
- 19:13Then you get to the Bitcoin standard at this point, like had
- 19:18you grokked it? Were you like what?
- 19:21Wow, OK. And then down the rabbit hole or
- 19:24were you sort of had that? On yeah, yeah.
- 19:28It's like I was in kind of in the middle of reading all these
- 19:32books because, you know, so much information to take in.
- 19:36But I really get what Jabu saying about deflation and I
- 19:39really agree on it. But I was still very hesitate to
- 19:44like start buying Bitcoin and like start to, you know, really
- 19:49take in because I was like, I don't know if this thing goes to
- 19:520 tomorrow or something, you know, because I was like a super
- 19:56boring investment guy. I was buying global index.
- 20:00Just just put it there, you know, before people that just
- 20:05doing that and which which is OK, which is better than doing
- 20:10nothing because if you keep it your money in cash, it just
- 20:13going to it's going to 0 eventually.
- 20:16But but so so coming a little bit back there, there I was.
- 20:23So then I was knowing knowing a colleague at work and he is the
- 20:29into this crypto thing and, you know, buying Bitcoin, buying all
- 20:34other shit coin. He he always like to tell talk
- 20:37with me like, you know, Bitcoin is so much higher now.
- 20:40So if you other shit coin, if you just put in, I don't know, a
- 20:43hundred, a $100 or $10, you got 2000 coins, you know, that's
- 20:50great. So just put everything in,
- 20:52little bit in everything. That's what we.
- 20:54Do has some diversity. Exactly, yeah.
- 20:58And you know, you can get 2000 coins, you cannot get 2000
- 21:02Bitcoin now. So, you know, and I was like so.
- 21:05So I still feel very funny about this kind of things because I
- 21:10want to go a little bit back to three principles.
- 21:12Because in in there also there is one big thing is that they
- 21:18talk about you can always coming back to your inner health.
- 21:22So you always have your inner health.
- 21:24We always have that inside us, even though we are like feeling
- 21:28depressed or feeling maybe victimized at some point.
- 21:33But if you decide you want to get back, you know, get back on
- 21:37your feet, you can always come back to your inner health.
- 21:40So I always feel that it's very, yeah, amazing because, you know,
- 21:48it gives everyone a second chance or a third chance that
- 21:51you can, you can because everyone, I, I know that code
- 21:55saying that everyone is just doing the best they can or they
- 22:00think they, they are doing, You know, even though it's the
- 22:04people are starting the world now or printing the, the Fiat,
- 22:09they think they are doing the right thing, or at least for
- 22:12themselves. But it's such a hard, it's such
- 22:19a hard thing for me to admit and be you're absolutely right.
- 22:21Like I was talking talking to my wife the other day and I was
- 22:28like, you know, we're not stressed.
- 22:31We're just doing our best. Yeah, exactly.
- 22:34I think there's a lot of truth to that, but when you apply it
- 22:40to, I mean just come out and say it like fucking pedophiles and
- 22:46baby eaters and warmongers. Like I don't know if they are
- 22:50doing their best, but maybe in some warped fucked up reality
- 22:54they are. And their best was pretty good.
- 22:57Like they got away with it for a long time.
- 22:59Hell, they're still getting away with it, but I don't know like
- 23:04how that works. Trying that.
- 23:06Principle, yeah, I know, I know when it's going to very extreme
- 23:10it's really hard to process that yeah.
- 23:14But but what I can think of another thing is that, you know,
- 23:17sometimes you have to take it. You have to think not personal,
- 23:24like it's some but yeah, you know, whatever they do.
- 23:29Like if someone treat bad to me, it's probably because he has a
- 23:33bad, bad day and he or he he got, you know, affected by other
- 23:38people or something. But if I take that with with me,
- 23:42I suffer myself, right. So it's like, I want to say this
- 23:46because I think a lot of people on Twitter or some on on or even
- 23:50be called maxi, let's say, and they can be very frustrated or
- 23:54angry towards someone, let's say, play crypto game or, or
- 23:59this kind of thing. But I feel quite also very
- 24:02interesting because I was kind of talked into really buying
- 24:07Bitcoin by this person playing crypto game.
- 24:09And then I was like, have courage to, or he introduced me
- 24:14some platform to buy Bitcoin. Like I, I have the first step
- 24:18even though I'm not the playing Crypto now, but he kind of have
- 24:22the first step, you know? Yeah, he helped you on the way.
- 24:27Kind of pushed me. Or, but I mean, the cool thing
- 24:30is, is that you had that cognition enough to maybe speed
- 24:34run through, I don't know, like, did you, did you do what most
- 24:38people do? It's not uncommon for people to,
- 24:41you know, discover Bitcoin and then, you know, get the unit
- 24:44bias feeling and think, oh, I'll diversify My Portfolio and I'll
- 24:49buy a little bit of power Ledger and and all this other shit.
- 24:54Yeah, I was doing a little bit like that in the beginning.
- 24:57I, I mean, many people, but I was buying this Bitcoin Cash
- 25:01because I thought that is Bitcoin.
- 25:03So it is like super stupid now I think about it.
- 25:06But you know, and then I Google it, I search for it.
- 25:09The Bitcoin Cash is actually, you know, this forking, forking
- 25:13thing happened in the past, right?
- 25:16So and then they call themselves Bitcoin Cash after the forking,
- 25:23but but that time I have 0 knowledge about this and then I
- 25:27discover all this. So I think it's all part of the
- 25:30journey and part of the yeah, how do you say the, the, the,
- 25:36the knowledge building I have now, you know, then I really
- 25:40recognize Bitcoin is the it's not other shit coin.
- 25:43What's the differences there? But yeah, but I think my
- 25:50colleague, even though he is playing and I'll try to, you
- 25:53know, Bitcoin, the orange PO him many, many times, but he's like,
- 25:58I can earn money by looking in this chart and, you know, plot
- 26:02this line to here and it's not so difficult to earn money and
- 26:07it's like, OK, yeah, good luck with that.
- 26:08It's. Not so difficult at all.
- 26:11It's yeah, it's easy. Just draw some lines.
- 26:14And. Speculate a little and I don't
- 26:16know. But I was like, I, I, I try my
- 26:20best to help you, but yeah, you because it's like, yeah, you do
- 26:25your thing, right? It's it's like you have to
- 26:27experience failure because I after several months, like
- 26:31after, during this bear market for crypto.
- 26:34And then he one time he just talked with me like, oh, it
- 26:38feels like every time I sell or, or every time I buy and then the
- 26:44price start dropping. And every time I sell, you know,
- 26:48the price, it's always against what I, what I wish for.
- 26:53And I was like, yeah, I tried to, I tried to tell you about
- 26:55that. Yeah, well, yeah, before learn
- 26:58your lesson, man, come on and. Yeah, yeah, just.
- 27:01Stay humble. And yeah, but it's like that in
- 27:05in human mind, right? Sometimes you have to experience
- 27:07that yourself, pay the tuition and then you, you get it.
- 27:13It's like if some random dude from colleague tell you, no
- 27:17Bitcoin is the only one or, or something which is against your
- 27:22belief. Sometimes you have to, yeah, try
- 27:26it. And then you, you, you realize
- 27:28what's, what's the truth or what's, well, how, how, how does
- 27:34it go? Bitcoin doesn't announce itself.
- 27:37It reveals itself. Not in the moment you buy, but
- 27:40in the moment you stop thinking of it as a trade, start sensing
- 27:44it as a discovery. This episode is supported by
- 27:47Hard Block, an Australian Bitcoin exchange built for

- 28:13pod for a while, you already know Bitcoin is something you

- 28:19Use code discovering Bitcoin all one word for $10 worth of free
- 28:22Bitcoin when signing up for a new fully verified account at
- 28:26hardblock.com dot AU. Where, where you, where you
- 28:30actually where you stand? I suppose, you know, it's
- 28:35interesting, like with Bitcoin, it tends to have quite a
- 28:39clarifying effect on people. So when you sort of sufficiently
- 28:48grok this thing started to to come around to it and to
- 28:52understand it a little bit, did your mood shift?
- 28:55Did your mental, you know, your, your psychology?
- 28:58Did it? Did it shift somewhere somehow?
- 29:04Yeah, I think so, especially for, you know, for my, my
- 29:11material wise or, or my view on money.
- 29:15You know, it shifts a lot for me because before I thought, you
- 29:22know, it's kind of the inflation effects on Fiat for me.
- 29:25It's like, yeah, you either invest if you have some saving
- 29:28every month right from salary, you either spend it because you
- 29:33know, they are going to everything is going to be more
- 29:36expensive next month. So if you want to buy something,
- 29:39you'd rather just buy it all kind of shit.
- 29:42You don't need all kinds of garbage.
- 29:44You you know, you have in the garage, just buy it and then
- 29:50right, Otherwise you try to invest in, Oh, I heard some guy
- 29:53saying this, this stock is good, that stock is good.
- 29:56Try to put it in there and all this stress or over information
- 30:00comes to. But after I kind of dedicated
- 30:04into Bitcoin or low in the Bitcoin, I just put it in
- 30:07Bitcoin and just, you know, it's kind of you, you kind of you
- 30:11have this clear up space in your mind.
- 30:16You can do something really meaningful in your life, right?
- 30:20Because I have two kids, I have a family.
- 30:23So before some maybe, you know, I'm kind of this dude watching
- 30:28stock while I'm with with kids and or watching what kind of
- 30:33things I'm going to buy this month, next month while I'm with
- 30:37kids. You know, while you are playing,
- 30:39I'm with playing with kids. I'm not really there.
- 30:42Without present, yeah. Yeah, you're not present and.
- 30:47They can look for a fix like materialism has, like this
- 30:52element of, you know, like you. You're unsatisfied, you buy it.
- 30:56Exactly. And the thing that you've been
- 30:58longing after for such a long time, you finally have now.
- 31:03And your mind goes or your ego goes, cool, got that?
- 31:07Now what? Like I'm unfulfilled again.
- 31:09I have another place. Like, buy me more shit.
- 31:13You know the whole retail therapy meme from, you know,
- 31:16back in the day. You know, all the movies where
- 31:19people would go shopping and they'd feel better and like,
- 31:22it's yeah, it's yeah, it's kind of.
- 31:25Gross all the all the advertisement right of people's
- 31:29smile while they get this get that.
- 31:32And nowadays you can if you want to buy something you can search
- 31:371000 videos about people buying this and review it and tell you
- 31:41yeah, it's great deal. Buy it and what's what's really
- 31:49satisfy you as a person is not lying on on those things, right?
- 31:54It's lying really on something else.
- 31:56You, you, you have to really clear out your mind space to to
- 32:01feel that feel that peace. And it's, it's not like now I
- 32:08not, I'm still will. I still can get trapped by, you
- 32:13know, life, life with two small kids, stress, anxiety, all kinds
- 32:18of these things. But yeah, but it feels like you
- 32:21are. I'm more easily to get back, get
- 32:26back to the peaceful ways. And seeing that, oh, that is,
- 32:30that is my thought. My mind has played tricks on me
- 32:33again. You know, it feels like, yeah,
- 32:36in three principle we always say that it's not like, oh, you now
- 32:40you understand gravity. So you will not be, you will not
- 32:43falling because of gravity. You will still fall, right?
- 32:48But then you realize it's gravity.
- 32:50But it's not like, OK, now I can jump from from, through, through
- 32:53or down and then not be affected by it.
- 32:56Right, right. You can make more mindful
- 32:59decisions when it comes to you. You, you now understand the
- 33:04concept of gravity. It doesn't mean you're not going
- 33:07to fall. It just means that if you are up
- 33:11on a great height or something, you'll be a little bit more
- 33:15mindful. But I mean, like when you're
- 33:17playing with your kids, you know the they're there.
- 33:21And if there's anything that kids teach you is that time is
- 33:25like so fleeting, particularly, you know, what they call Kronos
- 33:31time, which is that linear time, you know, the days of the week,
- 33:35the hours of the day, you know, the, the, the, the birthdays as,
- 33:40as you cycle around the sun. And I've been reading a little
- 33:44bit about like mythos time where it's a little bit more non
- 33:50structured. It's just it's more about
- 33:51feeling rhythms and cycles from nature and getting in touch with
- 33:56those. And and sometimes you can
- 33:58incorporate mythos time into your day where you know, OK,
- 34:02I've got to get from here to there and I've got to think
- 34:04about this and do that. But it's almost like it's almost
- 34:07Taoist or you just, all right, fuck it, just I'm gonna ease
- 34:11into this flow and I'll, I'll woo Wade this whole day, you
- 34:15know, action through non action. And, and, and when you can do
- 34:21that with the kids, like the you're, you're still going to
- 34:25miss. Like it's so fleeting, like how
- 34:29they just grow up, man. And, and you just think, gosh,
- 34:33like you're, you're riding bikes now without training wheels or
- 34:37you know, your, your your vocabulary.
- 34:40You've got this new word or what?
- 34:41Whatever it is. Exactly.
- 34:43That's why I kind of hate Apple phones because they pop up like
- 34:47a like if and I've never had. The history.
- 34:51But yeah, like they'll pop up like this thing on this day, you
- 34:53know, 3. Four years ago.
- 34:54And you're like, yeah, I know it's just you mix your shit,
- 34:57it's not good. But you know, with with, with,
- 35:01with having that anchor and that space through I guess, you know,
- 35:06leveraging, you know what Bitcoin gives you, you can, you
- 35:10can come back to equanimity. You can come back to that sort
- 35:13of even keel, that still point so much faster because you're
- 35:21not compelled to rush to the next thing to earn the next
- 35:25thing. You can.
- 35:27You can at least, Yeah, take a breath.
- 35:29Yeah, it's like you have, it's like you, you have an anchor,
- 35:33right. You're a ship with an anchor
- 35:35like you are feel very grounded if you're very grounded to this
- 35:40world. And yeah, like what you
- 35:43mentioned about this means time, right, Because we are we are all
- 35:47the individual, but in this big nature.
- 35:51And you know, when you read the some success, some book from
- 35:55success people CEO, they say, oh, you can do whatever you want
- 35:59to do, as long as you are committed to it, you can achieve
- 36:02everything. Yeah.
- 36:05But is that? Yeah, yeah.
- 36:08But is that, you know, you have to yeah, you are in this nature.
- 36:14You have to compile with. You have to go with the flow and
- 36:19sometimes it's best to to do that and sometimes it's also
- 36:22very difficult to do that. It's actually very difficult.
- 36:25You mentioned to to right to do nothing.
- 36:29It's actually very difficult, especially some people in the
- 36:32Bitcoin space that, that if you are trader in Bitcoin space,
- 36:36it's actually very hard to do nothing when you see the price
- 36:39goes up and down and you decide to do nothing because you, you,
- 36:45you decide to overlook the price.
- 36:47But you really understand the value of this Bitcoin just just
- 36:53by holding it. And if you know the concept
- 36:57about it and not all these charts or lines, then you are,
- 37:02you will feel more grounded and more, yeah, more more content
- 37:08about what you have and when, when you do nothing, actually
- 37:15I'm reading something saying that your mind will clear out
- 37:19this space and actually give you a lot of inspirations, a lot of
- 37:23ideas that, you know, when you ask someone when is the best
- 37:28time you have, the best ideas, usually usual time you have.
- 37:33And you can get kind of answers like, you know, you are walking
- 37:38the dog, you are taking showers all this kind of time.
- 37:42You you let the ideas flow through you instead of going
- 37:47after them. Totally.
- 37:49Or or yeah, or instead of, you know, building up your mind and
- 37:54those ideas cannot come in. One of my favorite etymological
- 38:00explanations for a word that was a big mouthful, but the
- 38:04etymology of inspiration. So kind of, you know, the, the,
- 38:08the, the, if you unpack that word, like where did it come
- 38:10from? And it comes from the Latin
- 38:14inspiri. I can't even pronounce it after
- 38:16asked mighty Ben. He did a, he did a term of, of
- 38:19Latin, apparently, but it means to breathe or to blow into.
- 38:23And so in means in into and then spear is to breathe.
- 38:30And it's literally like respiration in inspiration.
- 38:34Like you've got it like when you're sitting and meditating,
- 38:38for instance, as you just said, the mind clears.
- 38:42If you, if you practice long enough, the mind gets to a still
- 38:45point and that's when the inspiration can move through
- 38:50you. Because it's like the, the, the
- 38:51universe is full of ideas, Like it's an infinite amount of
- 38:55ideas. And I feel like it just kind of
- 38:57passes through certain individuals.
- 38:59It might, it might inspire them for a moment.
- 39:01And unless they act upon it, that idea won't be able to
- 39:04manifest through them, but it might manifest through somebody
- 39:07else. And that's when, you know, you
- 39:09might get an idea and you look it up and you think, oh, someone
- 39:12else has already had that idea or whatever, because it's just
- 39:16looking for a home, basically. Yeah, It's like coming from the
- 39:20ether somewhere. And it's looking for a way to
- 39:22manifest in the form. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:26I like the videos you posted from Jean Fu Jean Pei.
- 39:29Oh bro, I love Jean. Fu saying that?
- 39:32Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 39:35The Imperial Man, you got to Have you listened to that album,
- 39:38The Imperial. Yeah, I, I started listening
- 39:41after you mentioned that in in one of the podcast recently and
- 39:45it's great. It's great album, Yeah.
- 39:48It's phenomenal, man. Yeah, we're going to spin off
- 39:50into music above territories if we're not careful.
- 39:55Yeah, but I'm, I mean, I'm a guitarist myself, so I I really
- 39:59love and amazed by how he can play things.
- 40:04And, you know, sometimes you will see some people, I don't
- 40:08know, like saying, oh, I, I play so well because of, you know, I,
- 40:12I practice and manage that and master these leaks or something.
- 40:16But, you know, if you see that video from Zhongchuan, he's
- 40:19like, no, always comes from nature.
- 40:22And I just try to capture it. And it feels so, you know, Yeah.
- 40:29Zen about that. Yeah.
- 40:31He he has a technique. There's a there's an actually an
- 40:35exercise that he does in a video on YouTube.
- 40:37I think you can find it's quite a dexterous like it, it's a
- 40:40practice that he will do to sort of warm up his fingers and it's
- 40:43pretty tricky. I struggle with it.
- 40:46Yeah. But like, yeah, he's he, I mean,
- 40:49he's playing technique is just so good.
- 40:52And you, like you watch. Watch him play it live at Slain
- 40:54Castle. Yeah, yeah.
- 40:57Yeah, and there's just energy swirling around that whole
- 41:00place. Exactly.
- 41:01See what Whatever's going on there is just magic.
- 41:05Pure magic. You know, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:08And it's amazing. He's the life journey as well.
- 41:12So all this kind of thing gives him this this kind of thing.
- 41:17He almost burned his house. Well he did.
- 41:19He burned his house down. He almost burnt like he's got
- 41:22his. His arms got third degree burns
- 41:24and he lost all his teeth because he took too much heroin.
- 41:27Yeah, exactly. Yeah, here's one, but I saw a
- 41:30comment very funny. He's like he probably is the
- 41:33only one who comes back from OD and all this thing and looks
- 41:37better looks even more it's. Kind of true, Yeah, yeah.
- 41:45You go back to like some old videos, particularly when he was
- 41:49recording, like was it Neanderlades, I think, which was
- 41:54one of his first solo albums. And and like, if you've ever
- 41:58listened to that album, like that'll that'll curl your toes
- 42:02if you're if you're not careful. It's, it's a, it's a tricky
- 42:06listen, that one, but it's, it's rewarding if you can get past
- 42:10the screaming. Yeah, yes.
- 42:14How has discovering Bitcoin changed you?
- 42:27Yeah, like I, I, I'm seeing, I think everything in life
- 42:30differently. You know, it's, yeah, it's like
- 42:40what I mentioned this deflation, right?
- 42:44This is the first thing I, I, I start to discover and start to
- 42:48question everything in life, like why everything should be
- 42:51more expensive. And then I realized technology
- 42:56should help everyone to, you know, to be able to afford more
- 43:01things. That's why our life is better
- 43:04than average people, you know, 102 hundred years ago.
- 43:09And we should feel happy about that.
- 43:12We should not feel trapped or you know, yeah, by this Fiat
- 43:17system, because everything just getting more expensive 510%
- 43:21every year. And every year you got from Fiat
- 43:25company job is like 02 point 2% or 3% increase in your salary.
- 43:32You should be yeah. Then that that's, that's the
- 43:35average you get. But then yeah, it just, I, I
- 43:42don't want to play this kind of game anymore.
- 43:44So I invest my, my saving in the Bitcoin and also I start to
- 43:52question many things in my life. It's like before I'm not
- 43:56crushing any the food I ate, you know, whatever the, the oil I
- 44:00use, I just choose the the cheapest 10.
- 44:03They say, oh, this wraps oil is good.
- 44:05OK, I use this wraps oil. And then after discovering
- 44:09Bitcoin, the you know, there is also this is it called Fiat food
- 44:13the the, the book. So read that one and also
- 44:17discover all these bad things about the seed oil right and
- 44:23also all this kind of thing they start saying this food is better
- 44:30than meat and the oil is you know fat animal fat is not good
- 44:35after 1971 because they the Fiat starts to broken the tie with
- 44:44with gold sender yeah that but then you.
- 44:47You. Yeah.
- 44:50Yeah, exactly. I saw a video before talking
- 44:53about like mainstream chocolate. We have, you know, Cadbury, for
- 44:59instance, and apparently, I mean, it's hard to verify these
- 45:03things nowadays, but it and it and it's just another remember
- 45:06what? I just I watched it and was just
- 45:08like, it's like another thing that I have to like, you know, I
- 45:11don't eat that much chocolate, but like, it's just annoying
- 45:14like that. You can't just eat things
- 45:16without having to worry about whether or not it's full of
- 45:18microplastics to get in stuck in your balls or, you know, metal
- 45:22like lithium or like whatever shit they're doing.
- 45:25Like it's, yeah, it's just nuts, man, Like.
- 45:29And they try to, and because of this PR system or PR game, they,
- 45:34they have to like grow, you know, revenue every every year
- 45:39to, to incend because they have to fight the inflation and
- 45:44everything. Yes, it's like, it's like the
- 45:47this I, I also, because now I'm in quite a big company,
- 45:51corporate thing. And we have this big financial
- 45:54guy in the company reporting our, our annual, you know,
- 45:59performance report. And they say, oh, this year we
- 46:02do really good actually in sales we are like plus 8% in revenue.
- 46:07But oh, because of the currency we are down 10%.
- 46:10So and it's like just completely so we are doing.
- 46:14Rug pulled all of your effort for the year.
- 46:16Thanks have. A lot, yeah, because of
- 46:19currency, so OK. Yeah.
- 46:22Well, like it's like, it's such a demoralizing thing.
- 46:25It's like you're all doing an incredible job.
- 46:28Like 8% is fantastic, but it means nothing can actually net
- 46:31down too, because yeah, of things out of our control, yeah.
- 46:38But still now everyone is forced to play this enough force but
- 46:44every most majorities in this Fiat game.
- 46:47But if people can realise there are, there is a a way out, there
- 46:54is a solution for it. If you don't want to suffer for
- 46:59this currency, if you know, if everyone use Bitcoin and you
- 47:06are, you're not subject to their printing or their manipulation
- 47:10to the currency anymore. So it's just from my side start
- 47:16to crashing many things now what governments was doing.
- 47:20I was like never crashing. I was like, you know, quite
- 47:24trust to everything because just yeah, people are doing and I was
- 47:31too busy in my I think it's also like it's it's kind of a circle,
- 47:35right, Because the art world keeps you busy all the time.
- 47:39You are working 8 hours a day and spending the rest of time.
- 47:42Figure out how to invest and how to save this and invest your
- 47:47saving so that you can fight inflation.
- 47:51So when can you have time to study Bitcoin or alternative,
- 47:56right? Most people doesn't don't have
- 47:59the time. That's the point, hey, like
- 48:02distract, distract, distract breads and circuses.
- 48:05You know, I've made a a conscious effort this year to
- 48:10actually get back into some of the breads and circuses that
- 48:13used to give me joy back in the day.
- 48:15And although the quality has degraded severely, particularly
- 48:19this season, I'm talking specifically about the F1 like.
- 48:25What, what? What do you say?
- 48:26What season? You know, like the Formula One.
- 48:32Oh, Formula One, Yeah. OK, yeah, and they got these new
- 48:35bullshit regulations with the batteries and stuff.
- 48:38It's just taking away pure racing.
- 48:41It's fucked. But like, I'll, I think we crave
- 48:48breads and circuses and I think breads and circuses are good for
- 48:52like in, in moderation. Just like anything moderation is
- 48:55good in moderation too. And it's all about balance.
- 49:00I think the thing with Bitcoin is that it, it, it turns your
- 49:06world upside down. You start to question so many
- 49:09things. If you're not careful, you can
- 49:12begin to question every single thing and go down these deep,
- 49:18dark rabbit holes that serve you nothing other than negative
- 49:22energy. Like, you can literally stand at
- 49:24the top of that rabbit hole and be like, got it fake and gay.
- 49:26Got it, Fake and gay. Got it.
- 49:28Like, everything's fake and gay. Let's just agree on that, you
- 49:32know, and then direct your attention and therefore your
- 49:35energy in a more, like, positive manner.
- 49:40But at the same time, what's not to love when you've busted your
- 49:44ass all week and you might want to spend, like, a couple of
- 49:46hours just watching some dudes race fast cars around a track?
- 49:50Like, that's kind of fun. Yeah.
- 49:52Yeah, exactly. Yeah, it's like this mean saying
- 49:57that. Have you watched the game last
- 50:00night? Or did you catch this guy?
- 50:01I'm, I'm cultivating it. I'm trying to catch more games
- 50:05last night maybe just so I can have normally conversations as
- 50:09well like. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 50:11Because, you know, I don't know if you go through this kind of
- 50:14thing. Also, it's like when I first got
- 50:16Bitcoin, I want to go to everyone I see, you know, go to
- 50:19my neighbor and tell them about Bitcoin and then, but it's like
- 50:23after a while he's like, Oh shit, I, I like, I think I spend
- 50:26like 12 hours talking with one one of my friend and, and the
- 50:30talking because I, I kind of respect him.
- 50:33He's kind of like a, a senior I, I friend and I would really
- 50:39respect him. And I think he has the mindset
- 50:41and logic to, to this. And after 12 hours talking with
- 50:46him and he's like, he agrees everything I say.
- 50:48It's like, yeah, everything should be deplation and
- 50:51everything, but but he just, he's just not going to buy
- 50:54Bitcoin. And I was like, yeah, but then I
- 50:57was like, yeah, just talk with him about the games or about the
- 51:01other shit in normal life, just having a good time.
- 51:04It's the horse to water, you know, and the, if they're not
- 51:08going to listen, like it's all there, it's all out in the open.
- 51:12It's, it's like, it's like any of the, any of the mysteries of
- 51:16this world. They're not secret.
- 51:19Like they're there. You just have to put in the
- 51:21work. You have to do proof of work to,
- 51:22to begin to understand them. It's the same with Bitcoin.
- 51:26Like it's not a mystery and. And everything is all there.
- 51:31You can just. Yeah, you can just in your own
- 51:35computer, you can verify all the blockchain just running a node
- 51:40it precisely. I mean, yeah, I mean, it's not
- 51:43that difficult. I'm I'm not a programmer, but I
- 51:46I struggle, struggle few days try to figure out, but but now
- 51:50it is I can verify everything and that is very satisfying
- 51:54feeling. I can't describe.
- 51:56It's like the first time I transfer, you know, my Bitcoin
- 51:59from from the trading platform to my to my code wallet, right?
- 52:04It's like, oh shit, who, who, who am I supposed to call if the
- 52:08transfer is not complete? No one.
- 52:12But that feeling, that's how to say excitement is really hard to
- 52:17describe. It's not like I can transfer
- 52:20that feeling to anyone else and just say I experienced,
- 52:23experienced this. You have to do that yourself and
- 52:27the proof of work, right? You have to really invest and
- 52:32then you feel. Yeah.
- 52:34That sensation of sending a Bitcoin transaction for the
- 52:37first time on the blockchain is scary as shit.
- 52:41And if you're as retarded as I am, I sent like the whole lot.
- 52:45Like I didn't, I didn't do like, Oh yeah, make sure you do this
- 52:50test transaction and blah, blah, blah.
- 52:52Like I remember literally from the exchange to the wallet, the
- 52:56whole lot. And I'm waiting around for, I
- 53:00don't know, maybe the manpower was a bit full, but it felt
- 53:02like, it felt like ages, man. And I was like.
- 53:05Oh yeah, yeah. But then it suddenly appeared
- 53:08and I was like, Oh my goodness. Exactly.
- 53:12Yeah, it's magical. It's really and yeah, I don't
- 53:19know, it's I I like your article actually.
- 53:23I, I, I, I, I don't really know what the transition of the
- 53:26conversation to there, but I really like your article saying
- 53:29about it's silicon to silicon, right?
- 53:33Yeah, I read that one. God bless.
- 53:35That's a difficult one. To read, it's difficult to
- 53:39write. Because it's so fucking.
- 53:41Out there. Yeah, OK, Sorry.
- 53:43Thanks, man. Yeah, no worries.
- 53:46Don't worry. But, but I, I, I want to mention
- 53:50in America because I, I'm a materials of the engineer.
- 53:53So I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm know and my expertise is actually to
- 53:58analyze crystals. It's kind of crystal.
- 54:01So using X-ray X-ray diffraction and I I love the.
- 54:06Feeling this is. What I I was doing since I'm I'm
- 54:10like a masters student and doing projects and I love the feeling
- 54:14that you. Have an unknown?
- 54:16Materials, right and you can just use X-ray to to identify
- 54:21because you can give to. Other people and they say, oh
- 54:23it. Looks yellow, so maybe it's
- 54:25gold, but no, you can use X-ray to really define what it is and
- 54:31no bullshit. You know, from, from X-ray you
- 54:34can see a diffraction pattern and that which, which two seater
- 54:38angle, you know, of, of this reflection and diffraction.
- 54:42And and that's just, you know, you can search and let's just
- 54:46give you what materials you have there and without destructing
- 54:50it, you know, some, some analysis you have.
- 54:53To cut it. In half and then cut it in
- 54:56pieces and then say yeah I verify this is gold but that has
- 55:00been destroyed. Yes, but the X-ray direction.
- 55:03Is like such a powerful. And then you know, you can go
- 55:06through. But of course it has its
- 55:08limitation. But for for if you can penetrate
- 55:11the materials or get the diffraction pattern out, yeah,
- 55:16you can verify the materials. And that is just.
- 55:20Just like ultimate. Truth.
- 55:21No. No debate.
- 55:22Or no kind of bullshit from politicians.
- 55:26It just it it. It is what it is.
- 55:28Yeah. Like there's no other way to
- 55:30interpret. It's like looking at A at a
- 55:33full, full block after it's been mined and and you just OK,
- 55:39that's that's the form it's taken.
- 55:41That's cool, OK, great. It's gone from yeah, that and
- 55:46and it's not up to interpretation.
- 55:48It's not it's not relative, you know, it's not influenced by
- 55:54subsidies and other sorts of things.
- 55:58It, it just, it just is, it's like, you know, I mentioned the
- 56:02article about Cymatics and when you make sound and it will
- 56:07appear as a particular form or shape, you know, that's, that's
- 56:14the form that it takes, you know, no matter where you are.
- 56:19And. You can't argue with it like
- 56:23it's just nature. It's natural law.
- 56:25It's quite literally a natural law.
- 56:28And you know, you could go as far as to say it's God, however
- 56:31way you want to define that. And you know, it is just that's
- 56:37it. Yeah.
- 56:39And you mentioned in the. Article Also this silicon
- 56:41becomes, you know the materials using semiconductor right in all
- 56:45the chips and because it's it is a.
- 56:48Semiconductor, it has this. Gate function that depending on
- 56:53the voltage goes in it's past and not past.
- 56:56But and also recently I'm reading a book called The
- 56:59Biology of Belief and in that. Book it talks about human.
- 57:06Cells, you know, human biology, how, how it functions and
- 57:13actually we can, you know, some people saying that the, the,
- 57:18the, the gene is from DNA and it's can you cannot change it.
- 57:21Or some people say, you know, environmental can, can change
- 57:24things. So you talk about this thing and
- 57:26they say the cells, the membranes of the cells actually
- 57:30function like semiconductor it like gait, it can, it can sense
- 57:36some kind of thing and then that the environment pass or not
- 57:40pass. You know it.
- 57:42It's it is like a gate in the semiconductor, the transistor,
- 57:47epigenetics. Right.
- 57:50Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or it.
- 57:52Yeah. So it is very cool like you.
- 57:57Like you mentioned, it's nature somehow the computer we are
- 58:02using, it's the similar concept of function of the cells we are
- 58:07in. So we we kind of function.
- 58:10Like. Yeah, like.
- 58:14A computer in in in in a way. Like whatever the information
- 58:18you are showing yourself somehow, right?
- 58:23It is the pictures in your mind. Let's say it's like different
- 58:27form factors. For different ways of
- 58:30manifesting the formless into the form, which sounds woo woo.
- 58:34But if you go back to like the cabalion, they have the the
- 58:36principle of correspondence. And this is from the Hermetic
- 58:40principles. But you know, as above, so
- 58:42below, like as as within, so without.
- 58:46And there's that harmony between, you know?
- 58:52Existence various. Planes of existence which link
- 58:56the form to the, the formless to the form, the material to the
- 58:59spiritual, whatever it is. And so these patterns, it's
- 59:03basically just like a Mandelbrot set or, you know, fractals where
- 59:08there's just different form factors of the same idea
- 59:13manifesting itself. So whether it's a computer
- 59:15silicon chip or DNA acting as switches and you know what?
- 59:23Whatever it is like, it's the universe experiencing itself in
- 59:28all of these different facets. Bananas.
- 59:32Yeah. And it's like what?
- 59:34And if you think about. Human body as a computer, it's,
- 59:38it feels like you can, you know, switch the images you're showing
- 59:42yourself. If you picture this world as a
- 59:45hostile environment, everyone you know and then everyone will
- 59:51looks like the Yeah, they try to kill you or they try to do harm
- 59:55to you or you want to put it like more more positive or you
- 1:00:01want. To filter the.
- 1:00:02Positive thoughts through you, then you will see this world as
- 1:00:06a, you know, constructive place that wants you to be successful.
- 1:00:12It's now also I feel like, yeah, like I told you, I I'm not so
- 1:00:17successful in orange peel, my friend and the people.
- 1:00:21But then I found this Bitcoin meet up and then I start to go
- 1:00:24in there and I found all these people at at first I was like,
- 1:00:28oh, maybe they are all super Bitcoin maxi and then they
- 1:00:32would, I don't know, look down on me because I'm so newbie in
- 1:00:36Bitcoin. But no, they are super friendly
- 1:00:38and they don't care how many years you are in Bitcoin.
- 1:00:42As soon as, yeah, as soon as you come.
- 1:00:46To Bitcoin and they are very nice.
- 1:00:47And they ask you question and they are welcome you.
- 1:00:51They don't care about if you. Know Bitcoin programming?
- 1:00:54Or do you know this law in this Bitcoin blockchain or something?
- 1:00:58They are super helpful and friendly.
- 1:01:02That's it man. But if?
- 1:01:03I yeah. And then?
- 1:01:05It's like. Super.
- 1:01:06I feel so, you know, inclusive in in this and then the whole
- 1:01:11world just looks different. To me.
- 1:01:14Really, Bitcoiners receive you incredibly well.
- 1:01:18Once you've been in the game for a little bit longer, they can be
- 1:01:21a little tribal, as we, you know, have witnessed with the
- 1:01:25the spam wars and box size wars before that.
- 1:01:29And you know, there are certain bitcoiners that I don't know if
- 1:01:33they just do division for rage baiting and engagement, but
- 1:01:37that's sad if they do. But all in the whole, it's just
- 1:01:40like anyone, like on a computer screen on Twitter or whatever.
- 1:01:44Yeah, it's easy to be an asshole.
- 1:01:47It's much harder in real life. Yeah.
- 1:01:50Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
- 1:01:53Yes. And I mean also we don't have to
- 1:01:57agree with each other with everything, right.
- 1:01:59But in real life, you can have honest discussion or you can
- 1:02:03have a more yeah, face to face discussion like longer discard
- 1:02:09not not just one sentence or you are moron.
- 1:02:11You don't know anything about Bitcoin or something.
- 1:02:14You can have an honest discussion in real, real time
- 1:02:17life and, and to realize and to be grounded to knowing everyone.
- 1:02:21He's a real human being. Have a real human experience
- 1:02:26just like everyone, just like you do.
- 1:02:29We have some respect to each other.
- 1:02:31And trust to. Each other like we are all some
- 1:02:35kind of in the. Process.
- 1:02:36Right, totally. And it it it takes.
- 1:02:39Courage to show up to Bitcoin, Meet up.
- 1:02:42To be honest, yeah, it takes a lot of courage to go to a meet
- 1:02:46up or a conference or an event and kind of put yourself in that
- 1:02:51space because you're in your own mind.
- 1:02:55And I'll speak from experience where you, you and you
- 1:02:59shouldn't, but you do you assume that all these people have been
- 1:03:04into Bitcoin longer than you have and they know more than you
- 1:03:07and you don't have and, and that that is true a lot because
- 1:03:12ultimately you should go to a meet up or a conference or
- 1:03:15whatever it is and just listen 2 ears, one mouth.
- 1:03:19You know that that's the mode you should be in.
- 1:03:22Be the sponge, be the dumbest person in the room, Soak it all
- 1:03:26up. But it's OK because.
- 1:03:29Everyone. Totally OK.
- 1:03:30Start from that. Yeah, Yeah.
- 1:03:32And then the people, they'll they'll.
- 1:03:36They'll welcome you, they'll they'll receive you and it's
- 1:03:40pretty awesome, man. But it does you just you have to
- 1:03:43overcome that hurdle. I remember we, we had a meet up
- 1:03:46in in my area and I would try and get some close friends,
- 1:03:50maybe some family along. And there was, they're always
- 1:03:53really reluctant because they didn't, they, they lacked that,
- 1:03:58that courage. And I'd be like, no, no, no,
- 1:04:00they're all, they're all, everyone's really cool.
- 1:04:02Like seriously. And they're all from, from all
- 1:04:04walks of life. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:07All kind of place, yeah. And like you said.
- 1:04:10This is a very. Good point.
- 1:04:11You say if you're not going or doing the action, you are living
- 1:04:16in your, your thinking right, You're and, and that's fear or
- 1:04:21that kind of hesitant or or reluctant just grow bigger and
- 1:04:24bigger. But in reality, actually most
- 1:04:29people I, I, I think you also agree in the Bitcoin meter.
- 1:04:32They are very welcome. Yes, they are not judging.
- 1:04:36You or they? Are they just?
- 1:04:37Try to be inclusive and just Yeah, very nice people.
- 1:04:41Bitcoiners won't judge you unless you.
- 1:04:44Give them a reason to judge you and they're not.
- 1:04:46Judge the shooter and apply the purity case.
- 1:04:48Yeah. Cast iron, stainless steel.
- 1:04:50Fuck you. Yeah.
- 1:04:53Yeah, I mean it's. Kind of like a mirror, right?
- 1:04:56If you judge it, then maybe they'll judge you back.
- 1:04:58It's totally a mirror. It's exactly.
- 1:05:02Quick break, just. To say if you're enjoying the
- 1:05:04show and digging. What you hear Please consider

- 1:05:10or zapping the show. Some stats.
- 1:05:12If you're listening via podcasting 2.0 apps such as
- 1:05:15Fountain Pod, Verse Breeze. It's easier done than said.
- 1:05:20All you got to do is tap the boost button or set an amount of
- 1:05:23stats stream per minute while you're listening.
- 1:05:26Alternatively, if you want to ZAP me direct via lightning
- 1:05:29address, please send snaps and sats or zaps of sats in support
- 1:05:34of the show to discovering Bitcoin at primal.net.
- 1:05:40Thank you for listening and thank you for your support.
- 1:05:46What do you wish more people knew about Bitcoin?
- 1:05:52I I think in in my personal. Experience I want at least first
- 1:05:57they they don't think it as a as a scam because I think Bitcoin
- 1:06:03has. This name of.
- 1:06:04Cryptocurrency and then you know in crypto every oldest shit coin
- 1:06:11is a scam like someone wrote the like trump coin right and then
- 1:06:16some Youtubers saying you should buy this shit coin.
- 1:06:18One shit coin 2 ABC and Bitcoin sounds like one of them.
- 1:06:24So I want every. Most people know the difference
- 1:06:29between Bitcoin and other ship coiners.
- 1:06:32But ship ship coins because Bitcoin has this limited cap
- 1:06:36supply and it is it is only in this white paper.
- 1:06:40It's only like 3 pages. So I, I have read it and I
- 1:06:45really recommend that people just start reading it.
- 1:06:49Don't, don't listen to what I said, right.
- 1:06:51Just it's just three pages, but but it's actually very funny.
- 1:06:55I was. One time in Bitcoin.
- 1:06:57Meet up just really recommend one one lady to read this
- 1:07:01Bitcoin white paper and I say ah, it's very easy it's not
- 1:07:04complicated at all and and another guy in the Bitcoin
- 1:07:08because it is shaking his head and say ah no, no, I mean I
- 1:07:13could probably. Probably too much.
- 1:07:15For her or something the. Point is that.
- 1:07:19You shouldn't be put off by its perceived complicatedness.
- 1:07:26You should. You should just read it because
- 1:07:30like, it is the foundational text, quite literally.
- 1:07:32But also, like, I mean, everyone's different, but I
- 1:07:37don't mind reading things or listening things that I don't
- 1:07:41understand. Like I'm listening to Magic
- 1:07:45Internet math with fundamentals and Rob Hamilton and like, I
- 1:07:54haven't ever got a clue. But but like what they're
- 1:07:57talking about in terms of elliptic curves and SHA 256 and
- 1:08:00how that all works and the math behind it and the libgen and
- 1:08:03blah, blah, blah. But I listen to it just because
- 1:08:05I'm like, well, I might pick up on.
- 1:08:07Some of it. And I'm, and it might be useful
- 1:08:10plus, yeah, mildly psychopathic. But that, that tendency that
- 1:08:17again, it takes courage to pick up the white paper and just to
- 1:08:19read it and not assume that you've got nothing to add or
- 1:08:23that it won't, it won't resonate with you in some particular way.
- 1:08:27I mean, heck, you only have to read the first sentence.
- 1:08:31And that's, you know, that that if you don't get it from the
- 1:08:35first sentence and you know, no one ever, you know, no one, not
- 1:08:39everybody does. But P to P electronic cash.
- 1:08:42OK, cool. Sounds great.
- 1:08:43Yeah. Yeah, we can.
- 1:08:45How can I use this? Yeah, you can.
- 1:08:47Yeah, you can. You can.
- 1:08:49Just feel if it's resonate with you right.
- 1:08:53And if it does, it's it's perfect because the motivation I
- 1:08:57want to read this because I have heard always people saying,
- 1:09:00yeah, Bitcoin has this Max fixed cap.
- 1:09:03And then I was like, OK, I want to see where in the white paper
- 1:09:08of Bitcoin says about this. And then I finished.
- 1:09:13Reading the white paper and there's.
- 1:09:15No sentence saying that it has a maximum cap of 21 million.
- 1:09:19No, there's no sentence of it, but it, it does have the
- 1:09:23equation saying about this halving cycle, right?
- 1:09:28And if you use that equation, if you search what will be the
- 1:09:32answer if it goes to, you know, unlimited time, the total sum is
- 1:09:3921 million from mathematical calculation from that equation.
- 1:09:46So it's interesting that there's not like a, yeah, an.
- 1:09:49Expansion on that point, isn't it that in the one, yeah, but
- 1:09:55it's it's total. Math, right?
- 1:09:56It's total nature, it's total physics behind that limited it's
- 1:10:01amount to 21 million. And I think it's just purely
- 1:10:05beautiful. Maybe from my nerdy engineer
- 1:10:09background, but I feel it's actually super elegant.
- 1:10:12I like things to be elegant and simple, not giving me all this
- 1:10:16bullshit about how we are doing EO curve control.
- 1:10:21So this inflation is transitory, nothing to worry about.
- 1:10:27All this kind of bullshit, you know none of it based in in in
- 1:10:32nature. Or reality.
- 1:10:33Yeah, exactly. And that no, no we.
- 1:10:36Are not doing QE, No, we are just, you know, slight, slightly
- 1:10:40QE, I mean there was a period of time there if you recall.
- 1:10:44Where they were talking about negative interest rates, what
- 1:10:47we'll do is we'll take interest rates negative like as if that's
- 1:10:51just a thing that. You can do and.
- 1:10:53Like, like without any consequence, we can just, we can
- 1:10:57just reverse time basically. Because yeah, you you get paid
- 1:11:01by borrowing money. And you got punished by working
- 1:11:05hard, right? Like if you don't if you don't
- 1:11:09borrow. Money.
- 1:11:10You got punished. But you know what kind of
- 1:11:12negative interest rate they're doing?
- 1:11:14Their best man. They're doing their best.
- 1:11:16Yeah, yeah, I know. I have to remind myself.
- 1:11:19Exactly. Yeah, that's a hard, that's hard
- 1:11:22part, but yeah, yeah. But yesterday.
- 1:11:27I feel I listened to a good code actually.
- 1:11:29They say for forgiving someone else.
- 1:11:34It's actually a very selfish thing if you forgive.
- 1:11:39Someone else you're not punishing.
- 1:11:41Yourself, you just let it go. Yes, right.
- 1:11:47And you, you, yeah. And you probably.
- 1:11:50Learn something. It's it's not saying that what
- 1:11:52they are doing is OK. It just you forget, forgive them
- 1:12:00and you forget about it and you move on to your thing, right?
- 1:12:06You know which tribes, which kind of people you want to be
- 1:12:10surrounded with. That's all.
- 1:12:11That's the lesson you learn. But you don't have to be angry
- 1:12:14about certain people's actions, right?
- 1:12:18You know they are not your tribe.
- 1:12:22And yeah, you just surrounded by yourself.
- 1:12:26Now I surround by myself with Bitcoiners and just just getting
- 1:12:32more out of it and I feel more satisfied, more, more peaceful
- 1:12:36with it. An attachment is.
- 1:12:40Such a difficult skill to cultivate, but it's so crucial
- 1:12:45you. Know it's the only way to to to
- 1:12:48move. On to ascend and to to grow as
- 1:12:51an individual where as as the as the the inimitable and
- 1:12:58magnificent, Maynard says. You know, you can't, you know,
- 1:13:03wear the grudge like a crown of negativity.
- 1:13:05You've got to let go. You've got to, you've got to,
- 1:13:09you know, ascend, Yes. And actually I think.
- 1:13:14I can add one more thing. Bitcoin has changed me.
- 1:13:18Yes, I have mentioned I like to. Play in guitar, right So.
- 1:13:22But I, I, but my real job is not guitar, it's it's a corporate
- 1:13:26job with the engineer. So.
- 1:13:28But I always want to, I would say achieve.
- 1:13:33More in this guitar thing. I'm practicing in my bedroom,
- 1:13:37but it's, it's really feel, you know, I want to do more thing as
- 1:13:41well about it. So I, I cannot find the direct
- 1:13:45relation to this, but recently I, I have the courage to really
- 1:13:50go into a jam session in a, in nearby pub or something, you
- 1:13:54know, just bring out the guitar and do things with people, even
- 1:13:58though it's probably sounds not, you know, that of course it's
- 1:14:03not Jungfu chante level, but it's, it doesn't, but it's the
- 1:14:08yeah, it doesn't matter. The fulfillment is so big.
- 1:14:10And, and what fulfills me more is also my son.
- 1:14:14And he's 8 now and he, he loves it.
- 1:14:17He, he bring his, I, I kick him a, a guitar I was using before
- 1:14:20and he, he comes to jazz session with me and we jump together on
- 1:14:24the stage and everyone is like, yeah, yeah, watching this kid is
- 1:14:29playing. Of course it's, you know, very
- 1:14:32simple stuff, but it's so fulfilling.
- 1:14:35And I was kind of wonder I, I don't think I would do this kind
- 1:14:40of thing if I don't know Bitcoin somehow I, I think I know that
- 1:14:44because my mind will be trapped with all these Fiat games and
- 1:14:48things. But now I have the space to
- 1:14:51really recognize what I really want to achieve, you know, and I
- 1:14:56want to. Spend.
- 1:14:57Yeah, you know. If I have half day in on the
- 1:15:00weekend there, I go to the gym session and just do things.
- 1:15:04You can just do things. I think they right, they start,
- 1:15:07they say this thing in the Bitcoin world, but yeah, I don't
- 1:15:10have to like coding or something.
- 1:15:13You can just do things and that's just amazing.
- 1:15:18And when you lock in to that jam session.
- 1:15:21And the other musicians, you're all feeding off one another and
- 1:15:24that energy gets passed around. Yeah, there's nothing wrong.
- 1:15:27Exactly, man. It's like full on slow estate.
- 1:15:31What did you say it's? Like the it's it's a flow state.
- 1:15:33It's it's. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:36It's it's that Zen. Feeling or.
- 1:15:38That yeah, yeah, going everyone. And it's crazy And and.
- 1:15:44What in one of the gym? Sergeant, It's very funny,
- 1:15:46actually. It's a new place.
- 1:15:47I've never been there. And when we play the, the place
- 1:15:50is so quiet, even though many people down there and it was
- 1:15:53like, oh shit, they they think we are suck, we suck or
- 1:15:56something. Oh shit.
- 1:15:57And then that's all, all in my mind.
- 1:15:59But then after we finish, it's like, wow, the whole place is
- 1:16:03full with clapping and the and the cheering and I was like, OK,
- 1:16:08they think we I don't know how they think, but it's, you know,
- 1:16:11the fear, the feeling. You can at least surmise, given
- 1:16:14the cheering and clapping, that. You're not shit.
- 1:16:16That's great. Yeah.
- 1:16:17Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 1:16:19And. The quiet is they just want to,
- 1:16:21you know, let us to, you know, perform not affected.
- 1:16:25So so that's why I realized again, it's only in my mind.
- 1:16:28A lot of things is just in my mind.
- 1:16:31It's it's totally in your mind. And this is this is going back.
- 1:16:35To the principle of mentalism, it's yeah, exactly complete
- 1:16:38creation of. The mind.
- 1:16:41You know, the universe, everything.
- 1:16:43There's a call. I retweeted it.
- 1:16:45Michael Dunworth posted it up on Noster a couple weeks ago of
- 1:16:51like a, it's like a split screen.
- 1:16:53You can see the, the car and a computer game driving through
- 1:16:56some sort of city in a, in a, in a gaming space.
- 1:17:01And then the, I think it's the top of the screen, you can
- 1:17:04actually see the city rendered just as the car sort of brings
- 1:17:07it back into view, like the observer effect.
- 1:17:11And so in a real in a real city, Yeah, like.
- 1:17:14Within a? No, not.
- 1:17:15Not in a real. City like just a computer game
- 1:17:17just like a outcome of the world type thing and and like
- 1:17:22literally the city or that scene manifests itself in real time
- 1:17:27appears in real time as the car the you know the player is
- 1:17:33moving into that scene and around that scene and so it
- 1:17:37disappears when they're not looking at it it appears when
- 1:17:39they look at it it's. It's wow, yeah.
- 1:17:45Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's it's it's all depending on
- 1:17:48if you pay attention to it, right.
- 1:17:50Totally or not, Right. Yeah.
- 1:17:53It's like of. Course, every day shitty things
- 1:17:55happen. I don't know why they want the
- 1:17:59war in Iran, but that's out of my control and.
- 1:18:03If I pay all my. Attention to that, I'm just
- 1:18:06suffering myself, right? That's exactly.
- 1:18:10But if I, if I try to do what I like and to care the people I
- 1:18:16care, a lot of the people around me, yeah, I'm doing my part to
- 1:18:20make the world a little bit better.
- 1:18:24This is it. It's just putting your attention
- 1:18:28and therefore energy. In the most meaningful thing and
- 1:18:32if you're situating if situating, if you're monitoring,
- 1:18:35monitoring the situation yeah I mean you might want to situate
- 1:18:39the monitor first before considering monitoring the
- 1:18:42situation you know you're just going to waste a lot of time and
- 1:18:45yeah, suffer. You're going to feel bad like
- 1:18:47people doing scrolling on Twitter all day or elsewhere.
- 1:18:52It's a it's just not very productive.
- 1:18:56And that's not to say that being unproductive is a bad thing.
- 1:19:01You know, sometimes you just want to sit and.
- 1:19:03Watch the F1. But yeah, yeah, you know, but.
- 1:19:06All depending on if you how how do you feel afterwards, right.
- 1:19:11If you spend the the whole day intuitive, afterwards you feel
- 1:19:14exhausted and you know, but yeah, it.
- 1:19:18It's really how. Your personal choice and how you
- 1:19:21want to spend your time and energy into because yeah because
- 1:19:29you spend the days watching the F1, but you feel relaxed
- 1:19:33afterwards so yeah just do it afterwards that just you know
- 1:19:37then then it has the effects on you or at least you gotta have
- 1:19:41at least you like it you. Know yeah, yeah for sure for
- 1:19:44sure yeah for. Sure.
- 1:19:45A little bit of downtime, you know which, whatever that is, it
- 1:19:48could. Be watching movies if you if you
- 1:19:50if you're just sitting around doing that all the time you're
- 1:19:56going to have a bad time, you know yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly
- 1:20:00it's like. When you sit in bed for too long
- 1:20:02and you start. Getting like hot and a little
- 1:20:05like you like it might be A and I've got to say I haven't done
- 1:20:09this in a little while because kids, but you know, you might be
- 1:20:13reading in the book like reading in bed.
- 1:20:15You you wake up, start reading a book and then, I don't know, an
- 1:20:19hour passes and you start to get a little uncomfortable in there.
- 1:20:21It's time to get out. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:20:24Exactly. You have to.
- 1:20:25Move around Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it is tough to do yeah,
- 1:20:30just do nothing as well for a long time.
- 1:20:33It is what does Bitcoin. Mean to you I want to say yeah,
- 1:20:46it means the reflection. Of what what I am?
- 1:20:52So so it can. Mean very different thing for me
- 1:20:55in different times. And I think sometimes it let me
- 1:21:02see. Myself much more clearly like I
- 1:21:07think in. In a period of time.
- 1:21:09And also sometimes now also I would I.
- 1:21:14I would try my. Best to stack as much set as
- 1:21:18possible, right? But I have.
- 1:21:24To also realize the fact that I have a.
- 1:21:27Family to to to support on that to smoke kids so I cannot just
- 1:21:33sell the house sell the car sell everything and tell kids we are
- 1:21:37all in Bitcoin in in the future you would be thankful to me I
- 1:21:43have to TD guy what's that that that Dutch fellow that.
- 1:21:47Back in there, Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:21:49Yeah, thought everything. Kids, we're going to go.
- 1:21:51Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so you.
- 1:21:54Can do that also, but it's like yeah, you must have a fat stack
- 1:21:58man, because this price. Action.
- 1:22:00I don't know if it's happening or not, Yeah.
- 1:22:03Exactly. Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 1:22:07If it would, it would hurt me if I go like crazy and go leverage,
- 1:22:12you know, So I have to also sometimes look back and ask
- 1:22:18myself how much Bitcoin is enough?
- 1:22:22Like how much money and we save money.
- 1:22:25We, we, we refer to Bitcoin, how much money do I really need to
- 1:22:30be happy? Or maybe it's not because of the
- 1:22:34money, right? It goes back to this.
- 1:22:38At first, it's not really the the outside world.
- 1:22:42I will feel happy or satisfied. I have to go in there to to to
- 1:22:49search for that and I think Bitcoin really remind me from.
- 1:22:56Time to time you. Know from this bear market and
- 1:23:00and the the bull market before and everyone's saying, oh now we
- 1:23:02are going to the moon that's going down.
- 1:23:05If I look at that all the time or too much too often, I'm not,
- 1:23:14I'm not the the the. The the peaceful.
- 1:23:17Or the happy guy I want to achieve or want to be even
- 1:23:23though I'm not trading or. Everything but my my.
- 1:23:25Mindset is like trading. I was like, yes, the coin is
- 1:23:28this high price and I buy this low price, so I'm winning.
- 1:23:32I'm I'm killing again. No, but you have to.
- 1:23:38Yeah, you have to ask yourself. What do you really want?
- 1:23:41To buy, to to be happy or to be content.
- 1:23:48So Bitcoin is really. A kind of this.
- 1:23:51Yeah, this anchor for me or this, this, this grounded thing
- 1:23:57for me. That I can come.
- 1:23:59Back to to really ask myself and yeah you never go search online
- 1:24:06to to ask how much Bitcoin is enough because some you forget
- 1:24:11the some people say one Bitcoin 0.10 point but you know you have
- 1:24:15to ask yourself how much money is you know 37 sats man that's
- 1:24:21all you. Need telling you, you get zapped
- 1:24:26out in Auster in like a day if you go in there and ship post.
- 1:24:30Yeah, 37 sats is intergenerational wealth.
- 1:24:33I think that's the final issuance of the final.
- 1:24:37Block in 21. 40 is like 37 sats. Can you imagine how much
- 1:24:43purchasing power that has? Like, that's insane.
- 1:24:48Yeah. So yeah.
- 1:24:53And. Also it's like, yeah.
- 1:24:56So, so in the end, we have to come back to the to, to to my,
- 1:25:01my, my inner self, right. And as myself, how much is you
- 1:25:05know, and or should I be happy, really happy, you know, seeing
- 1:25:13my two kids growing up around me and asking me, yeah, they want.
- 1:25:19To hang out with me, play with me, that's.
- 1:25:21The real win right now, yeah. I have AI.
- 1:25:25Have a friend visiting us earlier for for a ski trip and
- 1:25:28they stay in our place and he is this yeah, CEO of a of a this
- 1:25:37start startup company, but he has to travel around visiting
- 1:25:41this client that guy for for frequently.
- 1:25:44So he's not home long time, but he also has two kids and his two
- 1:25:49kids small. Kid is like oh.
- 1:25:51Daddy, why do you have to travel?
- 1:25:53I don't like you to travel away that much.
- 1:25:57And his father is. Like ah, but I have to grow the.
- 1:25:59Business and develop the business and I was, I was.
- 1:26:04Thinking I know you. Yeah, you're missing out what's
- 1:26:11of course. Business is important.
- 1:26:13Too, But you know your your kids in front of you is.
- 1:26:18It's it's really the precious and the the.
- 1:26:24Other than the wind, you can. You can get.
- 1:26:27You cannot replace it like. No amount of money has ever
- 1:26:31bought a minute of time, you know?
- 1:26:34And it I got friends who have slightly older kids, you know,
- 1:26:40ones I think as old as 18. Yeah.
- 1:26:46And you know. He he, he misses it, you know,
- 1:26:54because you cannot get it back. You can stack more Bitcoin.
- 1:26:57I mean, yes, there's only 21 million and blah, blah, blah,
- 1:27:00blah, blah. There's always going to be some
- 1:27:02chump that's going to sell. So you can just, you know, but
- 1:27:06you can't just go and. Buy more time with your.
- 1:27:09Kids, it's not going to happen. Forget it.
- 1:27:11And that's got to be the priority.
- 1:27:14No matter how poor you get in the process.
- 1:27:17You'll be as rich as anything in your heart.
- 1:27:20If you can spend as much time as possible with those, with those
- 1:27:25two, for sure. Yeah, Yeah, there are.
- 1:27:29Things in life like money can buy, can't do it, can't buy.
- 1:27:34So I've got to ask Clapton, are you named?
- 1:27:36After the the bass, Eric Clapton, the most overrated
- 1:27:40guitarist on the planet, let's be, let's be honest, super
- 1:27:44overrated guitarist. Ruined one of the greatest rock
- 1:27:50licks of all time in Layla by putting a 2 1/2 minute outro at
- 1:27:55the end of that song. What the fuck was he thinking?
- 1:27:58But yes, are you you named after Eric Clapton Exactly.
- 1:28:02Yes. Yes, I love that guitarist.
- 1:28:06That's the he stole. He stole George Harrison's wife
- 1:28:11out from under him. He's he's no, I he's.
- 1:28:15Dodgy man. I mean, he was pretty based on
- 1:28:18COVID though. Him and Van Morrison.
- 1:28:20That was fun. Yeah.
- 1:28:22I don't. For me, I don't really.
- 1:28:25Care about the too much personal things or personal life about
- 1:28:29the artist. I, I, I just go with their music
- 1:28:33and just just appreciate their music.
- 1:28:37And yeah, as I said earlier, right.
- 1:28:42No, no attachment to what they are.
- 1:28:44Doing they are just doing the things they they think they're
- 1:28:47the best, right? So I.
- 1:28:48Don't care, but I I. I but I like the I when I start
- 1:28:52playing guitar, it is him as my how to say yeah, music
- 1:28:59inspiration. So yeah, of course after then I
- 1:29:02have other things, but I always like the the music itself
- 1:29:07because also after that I, I like John Mayer, John Mayer's
- 1:29:10music a lot. And the many people say John
- 1:29:13Mayer, you know, his personal life is crazy and they like this
- 1:29:18so many girlfriends or anything, but I just don't really care.
- 1:29:23He's I just love his. He's as a person.
- 1:29:25As an. Artist.
- 1:29:26He's cool, dude, you know, he's got a lot of cool.
- 1:29:30Ways of seeing the world, I mean.
- 1:29:31The boy can. Play, there's no doubt about it.
- 1:29:33John Mayer John Mayer live like and when he's playing the Blues
- 1:29:37and stuff is so much better than when he like like his his like,
- 1:29:43you know, studio albums. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:29:47I don't really like and also like the.
- 1:29:50Yeah, and. I think that blue skills.
- 1:29:52Is really. Overlooked because of his you
- 1:29:54know love some of gravity and your your body is wandering all
- 1:29:58those kind of you know love songs but these Blues how to say
- 1:30:03skills are really overlooked. Oh, the second to none like.
- 1:30:09I've got a friend who's a mad Eric Clapton fan, and he tried
- 1:30:14to get me into Journeyman because we were talking about
- 1:30:19John Mayer and we're talking about the album Sob Rock from
- 1:30:242021. Yeah.
- 1:30:26I mean, there are some beautiful, delicate, incredible
- 1:30:30guitar solos on that album. Song Rock.
- 1:30:32Yeah. Yeah, there's one with.
- 1:30:35Like this little pinch harmonic and the and.
- 1:30:37The Wham bar and it's like tasty and you can really feel that
- 1:30:41this guy. Is not trying to impress you.
- 1:30:45He's not trying to impress anyone.
- 1:30:47He's just serving. But he's yeah.
- 1:30:49It just. You know, because sometimes you
- 1:30:52can see guitarist that's like crazy speed and crazy solo.
- 1:30:58So this is just all, so how to say coherent with the sound,
- 1:31:03with the rhythm, everything just matching together.
- 1:31:07And he's in the stages. Like yeah, I don't care about
- 1:31:10how you look at me. I just yeah, BB himself or B.
- 1:31:19However, music through is flowing through him and he just
- 1:31:24expressed it. I like what John Mayer's called
- 1:31:29in one interview. He says that when he was young
- 1:31:32and not famous, he's playing guitar in his bedroom, right?
- 1:31:37And he's imagine he's on stage and now he's playing on.
- 1:31:41Stage he's imagine. He's in his bedroom.
- 1:31:48Yeah, right. That's so cool about.
- 1:31:51About the situation because you're on stage, you know,
- 1:31:55you'll probably see all the, all the, all the audience and
- 1:31:59everything, but you're not so in the moment and you're in.
- 1:32:03You have to imagine you're in the in the bedroom and playing
- 1:32:07grass. That's always good now.
- 1:32:10Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 1:32:14Yeah, So, yeah, regarding so going back to the Bitcoin price,
- 1:32:19right, like I, I always feel of of Bitcoin thing it's like
- 1:32:26everyone. Once in a while you see.
- 1:32:28People are like, I'm too late for Bitcoin.
- 1:32:31The the, the, the, the ship is, is off.
