- 0:09You're listening to the Hidden Lightness on America Out Loud Talk Radio.
- 0:13I'm your host, Jimmy Hinton.
- 0:15Well, not surprising.
- 0:18I saw an article on Florida that's bringing in a massive amount of wealth.
- 0:25We've certainly talked about this before, but we're going to keep talking about it because folks, capitalism works.
- 0:33It just does.
- 0:34And I don't know why people try to fight this.
- 0:37I don't know why the socialist agenda keeps uh prevailing in certain areas across the country.
- 0:44But capitalism works.
- 0:46Socialism does not.
- 0:48Florida is a case in point.
- 0:50And the opposite of that, California is also a case in point.
- 0:55We have stories on that, folks, and much more.
- 0:59Welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 1:01And what a great week.
- 1:03We are now halfway through the week.
- 1:06And I just can't believe how fast time is flying.
- 1:09They say that time flies when you're having fun.
- 1:11Well, we must be having a blast, folks.
- 1:15Because life is good, is it not?
- 1:19This is America's 250 year anniversary.
- 1:22And speaking of good things, visit America Outloud.news and check out all the updates on the 250 year anniversary.
- 1:32That's going to be held in Nashville.
- 1:36And it's going to be a great, great lineup of speakers, a great event.
- 1:41And it's gonna, it's gonna uh end with fireworks like you've never seen before.
- 1:48Right in downtown Nashville.
- 1:50What a wonderful event.
- 1:52We've got to celebrate.
- 1:54We've got to celebrate our nation.
- 1:55We're gonna overturn all these naysayers and negative Nancies who they talk about doom and gloom and how bad the the country is and how bad the people are and uh uh how bad the wealthy are and that we we've got it we've got to tax them.
- 2:11We've got to get our pound of flesh.
- 2:14We're just gonna ignore all of those negative Nancies, and we're gonna celebrate the America that we love.
- 2:23What a great nation, what a great nation built on freedoms and the avail the ability and opportunity for people to succeed and to prosper.
- 2:36Speaking of prospering, this hot off the press.
- 2:42Florida Chamber CEO says high tax states are in a death spiral as four million dollars an hour wealth migration accelerates.
- 2:56Florida is taking in four million dollars an hour.
- 3:04That's just what's migrating to the state.
- 3:08These are astounding numbers, and and and I'm gonna say people who talk about how bad the economy is and how how screwed we are, and how America's just so terrible, and Trump is destroying the economy.
- 3:23Do not listen.
- 3:28Trust me, folks, don't fall for it.
- 3:31Do not fall for the trap that they set where they want you to feel um pain and despair.
- 3:45You know why?
- 3:46Because they're gonna paint that picture as the government is the only way to fix that problem.
- 3:53That the politicians are gonna stand up for your rights.
- 3:58They're gonna they're gonna give you help in your time of need, and they're gonna free up money, and they're gonna, you know, they're gonna make sure that these tight-fisted Republican uh politicians start giving people their fair share, and we're gonna exact that money from the wealthy.
- 4:21After all, they're greedy.
- 4:24They're terrible people.
- 4:27You know, it was interesting.
- 4:28I was down in Tennessee over the weekend.
- 4:32I I go on an annual trip with my brothers, and two of my brothers live in Tennessee, and uh, we were down around Dollywood and uh, you know, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg area, and we were just kind of we didn't get into all the all the touristy stuff.
- 4:50Uh we're kind of like find a trail out in the middle of nowhere, hike to some waterfalls.
- 4:57Uh, and so that's exactly what we did.
- 4:59We just relaxed.
- 5:00It was a great weekend getaway.
- 5:02Uh, it was wonderful just to let her hair down and kind of relax and enjoy our each other's company.
- 5:10And my two brothers who live in Tennessee talked about how incredible Dolly Parton is and how much she's done for their kids and just kids in general, and not just kids, it it for people in general.
- 5:27Dolly Parton, she has used her wealth for good.
- 5:32I mean, legitimately.
- 5:35She has done so many programs and given away so much money in in the state of Tennessee that it's absolutely inspiring.
- 5:46And again, it it kind of eliminates this idea that these wealthy people are just a bunch of rich hobknobs that you know, they rub elbow with the other rich and they talk about what the next scheme is to rip off people who don't make as much money as them, and you know, on and on it goes.
- 6:04So that's a narrative that the left wants you to fall into.
- 6:08They want you to think that we're all ripped off.
- 6:10We're all we're all just pawns, and it's the wealthy, it's the oligarchs who are ripping us off.
- 6:18But then you look at Tennessee, for example.
- 6:23And also what was interesting is they talked about the taxes there.
- 6:29There's no income tax, there's no state income tax.
- 6:33And they said, yeah, they they they get their money other places, they have a 9% sales tax in the state of Tennessee, but they've eliminated so many other taxes that if you're actually disciplined and you don't just go out and buy everything that's under the sun, you can actually do quite well in the state of Tennessee.
- 6:58You can manage pretty good.
- 6:59I can tell you this, their gas is a dollar cheaper, even in Dollywood, their gas is one dollar exactly a dollar cheaper than it is here in Pennsylvania.
- 7:11You know, we have uh TikTok Josh, who he talks about all these benefits that he's given, given people in the state of Pennsylvania, which is a joke.
- 7:25Meanwhile, we just we tax the living bejesus out of people, and the taxes are absolutely out of control.
- 7:35And states like Pennsylvania do not prosper.
- 7:38In fact, we have many companies who who've refused to come to Pennsylvania because they said it's just so much cheaper to do business in neighboring states.
- 7:48Why would why would we want to pay a massive amount of taxes just so that we can say, well, we're doing business in Pennsylvania.
- 7:58So it's really interesting, but uh the Chamber of Commerce CEO Mark Wilson says that the state is on its way to becoming the 14th largest economy, not in the nation, in the world.
- 8:14It's really fascinating.
- 8:18Uh very, very, very fascinating.
- 8:20Uh, this article here, it's a Fox Business News article.
- 8:26It says that there's kind of a secret sauce in Florida that combines aggressive private sector growth with a stark fiscal contrast to the policies of the high-tax democratic-led states.
- 8:41And that's a great point.
- 8:43I'll get into stories about people still leaving California.
- 8:48I mean, California is it's gonna be a ghost town before too long if people keep leaving at the rate that they're leaving, not just people, billionaires.
- 8:59They're fleeing California in droves, and he can't blame them.
- 9:04In fact, I would point to them and say, why didn't you do it sooner?
- 9:10Why in the world would you stay subjected to the taxes in California?
- 9:16Except for the fact that California is a beautiful state, and that's a shame of it.
- 9:22You know, the if you look at the landscape of California, I absolutely love California.
- 9:27California is one of my all-time favorite states to visit.
- 9:31I would never live there.
- 9:33You couldn't pay me to live there because you probably couldn't afford it.
- 9:37You couldn't afford to pay me enough for me to afford to live there.
- 9:43But California is beautiful.
- 9:46It boasts some of the best national parks in the entire nation.
- 9:52I love Yosemite.
- 9:53I love Joshua Tree.
- 9:56I love Death Valley.
- 9:59I have an
- 10:00Even been to a huge portion of the state.
- 10:04And I can't wait to go back.
- 10:06I was just in California last March.
- 10:07I took my family there on vacation.
- 10:09We love California.
- 10:11It's beautiful.
- 10:13So don't mistake what I'm saying as if I'm talking down to different states and saying that the states are terrible or that the people are terrible.
- 10:22They're not.
- 10:25California is beautiful.
- 10:27The people who live there.
- 10:29They're beautiful.
- 10:30I've never had a bad experience in California.
- 10:33And I've been there a lot.
- 10:36But it's the politicians.
- 10:38It's the people who tax tax.
- 10:41It's the policies.
- 10:43Not just the politicians, it's their policies that say that we have to tax the wealthy to make the state run.
- 10:52And keep in mind, they're throwing money out.
- 10:56They're throwing money out left and right.
- 10:58Did you see the budget for New York?
- 11:02The budget for New York exceeds the entire state budget for Florida.
- 11:09Just for a little bit of comparison.
- 11:11In fact, let me look that up.
- 11:14Yeah, so here we go.
- 11:17The projected budget for New York City is 115 billion with a B 115 billion for the 2026 fiscal year.
- 11:28New York City spending is larger than that of nearly every individual U.S.
- 11:35state.
- 11:36New York City's budget is comparable to or even exceeds the total spending plans of large states like Florida, which has a similar budget size, but double the population.
- 11:52I mean, that's absolutely crazy.
- 11:54You look at the budgets of these cities, New York City, it's just insane.
- 12:01Just for a city of 8 million people, their budget exceeds that of the entire state of Florida, which has double the population.
- 12:12They have 16 million people, roughly that live in the state.
- 12:17It's crazy.
- 12:18This stuff is crazy.
- 12:21And yet, ma'am Donnie is pushing right now.
- 12:23He's pushing for a tax increase, which he can't do.
- 12:28That has to come through the governor.
- 12:31But their governor, I'm sure she's gonna do it because she's a nutcase herself.
- 12:37But they just they truly believe that that's that's the only way.
- 12:41You gotta get these rich people, you know.
- 12:45Gotta get the rich people to pay their fair share.
- 12:50So, yeah, uh, Florida is doing absolutely incredible.
- 12:55And I tend to look at the states that are doing well, as opposed to states like California, uh, to realize what's actually happening within the sane part of America.
- 13:11For the people who are sane, they're like, yeah, let's just let's cut, let's cut spending and uh try to encourage businesses to move here.
- 13:20When we do that, we're gonna flourish.
- 13:23And boy, oh boy, is Florida flourishing.
- 13:28It's doing quite well.
- 13:30Uh New York and California descended into what Florida Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Mark Wilson calls a death spiral.
- 13:41The Sunshine State is officially open for business as a global superpower with more than four million in wealth flown across its borders every single hour.
- 13:53Florida has leapfrogged Spain to become the 15th largest economy in the world, and Wilson says the state is just getting started.
- 14:03He went on to tell Fox News Digital.
- 14:06Part of the secret sauce in Florida is that we're all on the same page.
- 14:11The business community, our elected leaders, we understand that economic growth, growing the private sector, and shrinking the public sector, that's good for everyone in Florida.
- 14:23So we have 23.5 million here.
- 14:26I said 16 million.
- 14:28They're a lot more than double New York City.
- 14:31They're at 23.5 million people, and we want to create economic opportunity and good jobs for everyone who wants to be in Florida.
- 14:41I always say if Florida was stock, I'd be investing everything I had in it.
- 14:47It's because of our economic diversification strategy and our focus on growing business and growing jobs, he continued.
- 14:58Well, how can you argue with him?
- 15:02As they say, the proof is in the puddin.
- 15:06How can you argue with that?
- 15:07How can you argue with it's it's kind of like watching somebody run a race.
- 15:13You have a bunch of different teams and they're running races, and there's the big, you know, the big board, and people can either move up or down the board, and you know, it's like the old school ones where they would have to manually remove somebody's name, and then they would move it up or down, and then they would put somebody else's name in the place.
- 15:32And it's kind of like watching Florida keep working its way up towards the top, and it really is.
- 15:39And quickly.
- 15:42Meanwhile, California and New York, they keep working their way down.
- 15:50You know, you can only stay in first place, second place, third place.
- 15:55You can only stay in those positions for so long, especially if you're self-sabotaging, which is exactly what they're doing.
- 16:03I mean, if you don't believe me, here's another story.
- 16:06I'll share some of this after the break.
- 16:08Steven Spielberg is the latest billionaire to move out of California.
- 16:12Now, ironically, he moved to New York City.
- 16:17I I don't get it.
- 16:19But to each his own, you know it's bad, folks, when New York City is a step up from California.
- 16:28When Steven Spielberg is like, hey, I've had enough of California, it's starting to get oppressive.
- 16:32I'm gonna move to New York City.
- 16:34When that's better, when that's a better option than California, you know things are bad in California.
- 16:41I'm just saying.
- 16:43Well, we are coming up on another break here.

- 19:22That is XLEAR.com.
- 19:30Florida is doing quite quite well.
- 19:33They are generating about four million dollars every single hour in new income that's coming into the state.
- 19:41Now, just for reference.
- 19:49He said that the most current statistics around Florida, the population wealth, migration, all that kind of stuff.
- 19:57Uh, that began in the early post.
- 20:00Pandemic period.
- 20:01So we're only talking five years ago.
- 20:04Yeah, five, six years ago.
- 20:07The number of new residents moving to the state every single day has decreased from a peak of 1,000 per day to between 500 and 600 people.
- 20:18All right.
- 20:19So not as many people move into Florida every single day.
- 20:24That's still pretty significant.
- 20:25You have 500, 600 people moving there every single day.
- 20:30What's interesting though is that the amount of income has remained the same.
- 20:35The amount of income coming into the state or being generated in new wealth remains at just about 4 million per day.
- 20:46Or sorry, per hour.
- 20:4824 hours a day, nights, weekends, holidays included.
- 20:55$4 million per hour.
- 21:00That's stunning, folks.
- 21:03Absolutely stunning.
- 21:05That's incredible.
- 21:07The chamber's 2030 blueprint aims to raise Florida's economy to a top 10 spot by that landmark year.
- 21:16And Wilson remained confident the state's ability to accomplish that goal, noting that the state is reportedly close to surpassing Australia for 14th place.
- 21:28So Florida literally is in 15th place in the worldwide global economy.
- 21:34And Australia is ranked 14th, and Florida's about to knock Australia down to 15, and they're going to move up to 14th.
- 21:43That's incredible.
- 21:44And this just goes to show.
- 21:47When you have a plan in place, when you set gold, goals.
- 21:52That's so much better than the Democrats' plan of, well, we'll just tax the rich and oppose everything.
- 22:01And oppose everyone, right?
- 22:03It's all about opposition, resistance, resist the oligarchy, resist.
- 22:11There is no plan with that.
- 22:13Look at Mam Donnie.
- 22:16Look at Gavin Newsom.
- 22:19There is no plan.
- 22:21Gavin Newsom is about to lose virtually every billionaire in the state.
- 22:27And what's his plan?
- 22:28There is none.
- 22:31He doesn't have goals.
- 22:32He doesn't have a plan.
- 22:34How do we maintain the wealth?
- 22:36How do we keep the wealth?
- 22:37How do we how do we grow the wealth?
- 22:40There is no plan.
- 22:43And it's such a stark contrast.
- 22:46Let me look at this one.
- 22:47Look at this article here.
- 22:49Steven Spielberg leaves California for New York as wealth tax push spurs political battle.
- 22:58His move to New York coincides with a proposed 5% wealth tax on billionaires.
- 23:06Though representative cites family reasons.
- 23:11So who knows?
- 23:13Maybe it is family reasons.
- 23:14He he originally is from Ohio.
- 23:18Who knows?
- 23:18But Steven Spielberg, hands down, one of the most successful people in Hollywood ever.
- 23:25And he's taken himself and his wealth out of the state of California.
- 23:32Absolutely crazy.
- 23:33Him and his wife, Kate Capshaw officially became New York residents on January 1st, according to a report by Los Angeles Times.
- 23:46The couple relocated to the San Remo co-op on Central Park West in Manhattan, which was previous uh has previously housed celebrities, including Bono, McJagger, Warren Beattie, and Tiger Woods.
- 24:03On the same day that Spielberg reportedly established residency, his production company, Amblem Entertainment, opened an office in New York City, marking a notable transition away from Hollywood.
- 24:20I mean, this is wild.
- 24:21He took his business with him.
- 24:25He has owned homes on both the east and west coast since at least the mid-1990s.
- 24:33Sounds like not anymore.
- 24:36Of course, people are speculating about the timing.
- 24:39Well, is that linked to the wealth tax on California?
- 24:45Nobody really knows for sure.
- 24:47I mean, Steven Spielberg knows, but he's not saying that.
- 24:51And that's what's interesting to me is, you know, why are these people so afraid to throw other people under the bus?
- 24:59I would just come out and say it.
- 25:01Kevin O'Leary does.
- 25:02And he catches a lot of heat for it.
- 25:04Maybe that's why.
- 25:05Maybe he doesn't want to lose business because guaranteed, if he starts talking about Gavin Newsom and some of the Democratic uh policies in California, he's gonna get blacklisted because that's what Democrats do.
- 25:20That's what angry liberals do.
- 25:23You know, let's let's boycott.
- 25:27Let's shut their business down.
- 25:29Let's let's ruin them, bring them to ruination.
- 25:34And it's such a bizarre thing.
- 25:36It really is.
- 25:37I I always try to wrap my head around that.
- 25:40I always try to understand that kind of mentality.
- 25:44Where you wish harm on people, where you hope and pray that their businesses fail.
- 25:51Where you talk about taxing them, taxing them into oblivion, tax them so it hurts.
- 25:59I've always tried to wrap my mind around that kind of a mindset, and I just can't.
- 26:04Billy Eilish.
- 26:06If you're a billionaire, why?
- 26:09Why are you a billionaire?
- 26:11Shouldn't you be giving your money away?
- 26:15Meanwhile, she's not the most philanthropic person in California, that's for sure.
- 26:25She's just not that giving.
- 26:27She's not very generous.
- 26:30But yet she's mouthing off like if you're a billionaire, then why?
- 26:35Why would you be a billionaire?
- 26:38Well, look at California.
- 26:41They encourage it.
- 26:44And they're cutting their budget at the same time.
- 26:49Florida, uh, you know, if ever there's going to be a state that wipes out poverty, I would think Florida would uh be pretty pretty high at the top of the list.
- 27:02That's pretty cool.
- 27:04They're doing a lot of really, really good things for people.
- 27:09Yeah, I've highlighted this before on the show.
- 27:13They're taking some of the revenue that they get from uh tons of different areas.
- 27:19They're starting school programs and you know, after school programs, scholarships, uh paying for kids' school supplies, they're doing so many cool things that other states dream of doing.
- 27:33And it's because they're able to cut money.
- 27:36Oh, that's the other thing.
- 27:37Uh, Florida's in the process of eliminating their property tax.
- 27:44Now no, people are like, well, they're they're gonna they're gonna find the money somewhere else.
- 27:48They're just gonna raise taxes in other areas.
- 27:51Maybe, maybe not.
- 27:53Sounds to me like Florida has a pretty good grasp on things.
- 27:58They're pretty darn good at cutting money out of the budget, cutting waste out of the budget.
- 28:05Their entire state budget is less than the city of New York.
- 28:12I mean, you tell me who's who's wasting money.
- 28:15Well, those Republicans, they they just they they waste money, they all they ever do is waste money.
- 28:20Well, looks to me like Republican-led state of Florida is doing pretty good.
- 28:30Doing pretty good for itself, it's doing pretty good for people.
- 28:34I don't know about you, but four million dollars per hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- 28:41Four million dollars in new revenue every single hour.
- 28:46That's pretty exciting.
- 28:47That's pretty impressive.
- 28:51So, yeah, I I don't know.
- 28:53Yeah, if if uh if I didn't love where I live so much, if I didn't love the area and and have friends here, I'd I'd probably move to somewhere cool like that.
- 29:05Even though it's it's just way too hot.
- 29:07Florida's too hot.
- 29:08I take that back.
- 29:09I repent in dust and ashes.
- 29:11I don't think uh I'm happy for people who who liked Florida and that kind of weather.
- 29:17I just don't, I don't love Florida.
- 29:20Florida's a cool, and again, it's one of those cool states to visit.
- 29:24I've had so much fun in Florida.
- 29:26The Everglades are some of the coolest places that I've ever been to.
- 29:31Some of the parks in the Everglades, I have a lot of fond memories being in the Everglades.
- 29:36What a cool area.
- 29:38But it's a cool area to visit.
- 29:41I just I don't like the heat, folks.
- 29:44I'll stay.
- 29:45I'm looking out the window right now, and it is just snowing and blowing like crazy, and I love it.
- 29:51Give me more.
- 29:53I could take nine months of winter and I'd be pretty happy.
- 29:59But at any rate,
- 30:00I digress.
- 30:02Florida is such a great state to move to.
- 30:07In Texas.
- 30:08That's another state that I just because of the heat.
- 30:12I would not live there.
- 30:15But it's a cool place to visit.
- 30:17And a lot of people are migrating to Texas because they're friendly towards businesses.
- 30:25And capitalism.
- 30:28So it's just always blown my mind, folks, that people vote for this kind of stuff.
- 30:35That they fall for the age-old trap of well, if we just pull more money from rich people, our lives will get better.
- 30:44And that's not how life works, is it?
- 30:48I don't know about you, but I've I've been around plenty of wealthy people.
- 30:54I've had continue to have, not that I did have.
- 30:59I continue to have very wealthy friends.
- 31:04Very wealthy.
- 31:07Their wealth has not improved my life.
- 31:12One little bit.
- 31:16And it's that whole idea that, which I really am not drawn to, that you kind of ride on the coattails of people's wealth.
- 31:29That somehow they owe you a portion of what they've earned.
- 31:34Just because they're wealthy.
- 31:37And I just, I will never be able to wrap my mind around that concept.
- 31:41That whole socialism communism concept.
- 31:46That you take from people who have wealth, who've built wealth, who've done it all on their own.
- 31:52They did it fairly.
- 31:53They they did it because they're hard workers.
- 31:58And somehow we're supposed to believe that because they're rich, they're immoral.
- 32:05That wealth itself is immoral.
- 32:09And it's not.
- 32:12In fact, my wealthy friends are some of the most generous people that I've ever met.
- 32:19Compassionate.
- 32:22They are giving.
- 32:25They uh they want to see people succeed and do well.
- 32:31That's the exact opposite of what we're told.
- 32:33We're told that they're greedy, that they want the little man to be down.
- 32:39That's not been my experience ever.
- 32:42Now it's not to say that that doesn't exist out there.
- 32:45There are, of course, greedy people.
- 32:49But everybody who I've ever known who has wealth.
- 32:54They want to see people succeed.
- 32:56They want to see young entrepreneurs do well.
- 33:01They want to see other businesses do well.
- 33:05Even their competitors.
- 33:09They're not cutthroat.
- 33:10You know, it's not like they just want to rip people off and climb their way to the top.
- 33:17Consequences be darned.
- 33:21They actually care about other people.
- 33:23They care about other businesses.
- 33:26And that's a great thing about Florida.
- 33:28And you can clearly see in their plan.
- 33:30You can see in their blueprint that they're making lots of room for people to grow wealth.
- 33:40Um they said here, uh, I think this is Wilson.
- 33:45Yeah, this is still Wilson.
- 33:47He said the big economics lesson in America right now is Florida's tax revenue is up.
- 33:54Our tax rates have gone down.
- 33:57In other words, people are paying less, but we're generating far more tax revenue because we have more people to tax.
- 34:06There are more people in business, and so prosperity is good.
- 34:10It's good for the economy, it's good for the government, it's good for the people.
- 34:16And he said, but people are relocating to Florida.
- 34:19They're moving their businesses here, they're investing in our communities.
- 34:23That's actually driving additional tax revenue.
- 34:29So you see, lowering taxes is good for the economy.
- 34:36We've got to wipe out this idea that the only way to get more tax revenue is to tax the wealthy.
- 34:46It's just not true.
- 34:50Taxing the wealthy will cause economies to go into a death spiral.
- 34:56And I agree.
- 34:57I agree with that assessment.
- 35:00I think that uh New York and California are really on the verge of collapse.
- 35:07May not happen in the next five years, ten years, but if they continue on the path that they're on right now, those states will collapse.
- 35:16Their economies will collapse.
- 35:20Look at Venezuela.
- 35:22Look at how wealthy not that long ago.
- 35:25Look how wealthy Venezuela was.
- 35:28They were so stinking successful.
- 35:32People were doing well.
- 35:34Uh, the average citizen in Venezuela was doing quite well for themselves.
- 35:41And it turned very quickly to extreme poverty.
- 35:47Where water, literal water, is being rationed out by the government.
- 35:54You have the government water trucks that come around and deliver drinking water.
- 35:59I mean, it's bad, folks.
- 36:03Cuba, look at what happened in Cuba.
- 36:05We could point to so many different countries.
- 36:08North Korea.
- 36:10The list goes on.
- 36:14Socialism does not work.
- 36:16Communism does not work.
- 36:19And Florida took.
- 36:21I love that this is happening on the on the 250-year anniversary of America.
- 36:26That their economy is just absolutely thriving.
- 36:31And honestly, I think a lot of what Florida's doing is recession proof.
- 36:37You know, is as the global economy might slow down a little bit, or the American economy might slow down a little bit.
- 36:46Florida, I think is is they've built themselves in a pretty good position.
- 36:50They really are.
- 36:51They're in a very good position.
- 36:53And we need to see more of this.
- 36:56We need to see more of this across America and uh North Dakota, that's another state that I think has done a fantastic job.
- 37:05You know, you're getting these pockets of states that are making really, really good policies that are good for the people, good for growth, good for the economy.
- 37:14And I just hope and pray it continues to spread.
- 37:17We're coming up on another break here.

- 39:01And love is under a relentless and pernicious siege from those carrying the banners of socialism, economicism, and Marxism.
- 39:09America Rotlaw.
- 39:16America outlawed.
- 39:19Is that place to awaken your heart, soul, and mind to the outlook.
- 39:33Florida is really on a good path.
- 39:35I mean, really on a good path.
- 39:38And just all the way around, they they are growing their economy.
- 39:42They're in position to take over Australia.
- 39:47Right now, currently, Australia is the 14th in global economy.
- 39:54Florida ranks 15th as far as global economy.
- 39:58They're about to push Australia down to
- 40:0015 and they're going to bump up to 14.
- 40:02They have a goal and a plan.
- 40:05That's an important thing.
- 40:07They have a plan to work their way up to the 10th largest global economy.
- 40:14And they're going to do that in very short order.
- 40:19And I love stories like this.
- 40:21It's not just a story.
- 40:23These are people's lives.
- 40:26That's the thing.
- 40:28I think all of us can agree that poverty, it just stinks.
- 40:34Seeing people struggle, it stinks.
- 40:38Having friends who can't pay their bills, it stinks.
- 40:44I just saw a friend of mine post yesterday about how everything is unbearable.
- 40:54Her bills are unbearable.
- 40:56Her electric is unbearable.
- 40:57Um, she can't keep up with her bills.
- 40:59She's behind on everything.
- 41:01And she was lamenting the fact that things have gotten so bad and it's just it's it's a it's a crappy economy.
- 41:08It's it's um times are tough.
- 41:12And she was basically pointing the finger at other people, saying that all these other people have made things so unbearable for the average person, and life's just not fair.
- 41:26And then she put a link to her personal Venmo.
- 41:31And she said, if you feel inclined to help me out, you know, uh help me out.
- 41:38And I'm not mocking her, I'm not making fun of her.
- 41:43My heart's breaking for her.
- 41:46Because she truly believes, she truly believes the lie that we've been told, that all of us little people, quote unquote, we're stuck, and there's nothing we can do about it.
- 42:00And no matter how hard you try, we've got to wait for the next policy to come along that's gonna save the day.
- 42:07We've got to wait for our representatives to raise taxes on the rich.
- 42:13We've got to wait for the next break.
- 42:16We've got to wait until Congress enacts some kind of law that's going to put the screws to the electric companies because how dare they raise the rates.
- 42:27People need electricity.
- 42:28It's not a luxury.
- 42:30We have to have electricity.
- 42:32And so how dare these electric companies, these these rich CEOs, right?
- 42:38That's always the narrative.
- 42:40Always.
- 42:42These rich CEOs at these electric companies and gas companies, oil companies.
- 42:49Look at how they were villainized.
- 42:52Oil companies, they're a bunch of rich CEOs.
- 42:56We have a church member who used to work, yeah.
- 42:58He was actually pretty high up for a major oil company.
- 43:04I won't mention the name because it's not relevant.
- 43:10But it was it was one of the top oil companies in the world.
- 43:16And he was talking to me before, and he's like, you know, these politicians, he just rolled his eyes.
- 43:23He's like, it's so insane.
- 43:25They villainize the CEOs and look at the profit margins for the oil companies, and they they made more profit than ever before.
- 43:33And he's like, they do realize, and he's like, and they know it.
- 43:37They're just so full of crap.
- 43:40They know that they take that money, the vast majority of that money that they make in profits, and they pump it back into exploration.
- 43:50He's like, it is very expensive to run oil companies.
- 43:57So he's like that that whole narrative that it's just a bunch of rich CEOs making off with people's money.
- 44:04And meanwhile, oil, the cost of oil goes up, and you know, it's just it's absolutely out of control.
- 44:09He's like, the reality is the biggest driver of high gas prices is taxes.
- 44:16Those same politicians, ironically, they're the ones who are inflicting harm on the American people.
- 44:25They're the greedy ones.
- 44:29They're the ones trying to exact every last penny out of us, the consumer.
- 44:36And then they villainize the companies, and they're like, those rich CEOs, we need to tax them more.
- 44:45It's just so crazy to me.
- 44:48These people are nuts.
- 44:50But at any rate, you know, things are going up, and they just are.
- 44:55That's a normal part of inflation.
- 44:58But the question is, what's the plan?
- 45:04Right?
- 45:05What is the plan?
- 45:09And if people don't have a plan, you better press them.
- 45:13Either press them really hard to try to get a plan out of them, to get them to fess up to what their plan is, or you hold them accountable.
- 45:24So let me give you an example.
- 45:26Florida has a plan.
- 45:29Listen to what the chamber says.
- 45:32All right.
- 45:33A lot of people ask us what's the secret to Florida's success.
- 45:38And at the Florida Chamber, we believe that no one else is responsible for Florida's success except for Florida.
- 45:47First of all, let me say I love that.
- 45:51They're not victims.
- 45:53They're not like California, California's responsible.
- 46:01Right?
- 46:01New York is responsible for the position we're in.
- 46:04They're like, no, nobody's responsible for our success and failure, except for Florida.
- 46:12We own it.
- 46:13We own our economy.
- 46:15Think about what I say about our personal quote-unquote economy.
- 46:21Our own budget.
- 46:23Nobody's responsible for it except you.
- 46:30The way that we spend or don't spend the amount of money that we that we generate by our jobs.
- 46:38If you're stuck at a dead-end job and you're making five bucks an hour, you have a choice.
- 46:46You don't have to stay at that job.
- 46:50You can better yourself.
- 46:53Plenty, plenty, plenty, plenty opportunity out there to better yourself.
- 46:59And for not a whole lot of money, you can better yourself.
- 47:04So at any rate, Wilson went on, he's the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce for Florida.
- 47:11He said, we have to look at everything from kindergarten readiness to how do we cut childhood poverty in half?
- 47:20How do we make sure we have the best education system in the nation?
- 47:25The best legal climate, tax climate, regulatory climate, and the best quality of life of anywhere on the continent.
- 47:37And that's exactly what Florida's done.
- 47:41Do you hear what he's saying?
- 47:42We have a plan.
- 47:46We're not looking to the federal government.
- 47:50Look at all these states that they hold their hand out.
- 47:53Do you remember when Ron DeSantis returned federal money?
- 48:00Name another state that's ever done that.
- 48:04He returned federal money, and he was like, Yeah, we didn't, we didn't use this money, so we're gonna give it back.
- 48:12Yeah, how many states cheat the system?
- 48:16I know here in Pennsylvania, I know grant writers, and they're like, man, if we don't use it, we'll lose it.
- 48:22Talking about the money from the federal government.
- 48:25So they're like, we invent programs just so that we can use every last penny that they gave us.
- 48:36Is that dishonest?
- 48:39I guess technically it's not, I guess.
- 48:44Is it ethical or moral?
- 48:47No.
- 48:50No.
- 48:51But virtually every state's doing that, and they're ripping off the taxpayers.
- 48:58They're paying for bloated programs, they're inventing programs that don't even exist just so that they can use the money because they're like, well, if we don't use it, we'll lose it.
- 49:08We got to use it all.
- 49:10No, you don't.
- 49:11You could give it back.
- 49:13If there's a surplus, you could be like Ron DeSantis, and you could send it back to Washington.
- 49:19But I love what Florida's doing just all the way around.
- 49:24Um he went on to say here, this is again Wilson, the Florida chamber CEO.
- 49:32He said, people of all incomes of all different backgrounds are relocating to Florida to work, to retire, to learn, to take advantage of our education system.
- 49:43Florida is literally a land of opportunity where everyone can succeed.
- 49:49We're so grateful to have all these billionaires move into Florida because they bring their businesses with them.
- 49:55They invest in communities.
- 49:58You see, it's it's
- 50:00It's the Dolly Parton effect.
- 50:04And that's what my brothers and I were talking about this past weekend.
- 50:06We said the Dolly Parton effect is it's it's the same as all the old money.
- 50:12You remember the old money, you have um Rockefeller and you know, all this old money.
- 50:18Look at what they did with their wealth.
- 50:21They built museums, free museums, free entrance.
- 50:27They built learning centers.
- 50:29We have the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh.
- 50:33The Carnegies did just massive amounts of Philipanther work.
- 50:39They gave away tons and tons and tons of their wealth to better the community.
- 50:46And this is another thing.
- 50:47Uh I didn't even know about this because it's not on the news.
- 50:51This is another one of those stories, like, unless unless you're local, unless you hear about this, you're not going to hear it on the news.
- 51:00But UPMC, the UPMC hospital, UPMC healthcare system in Pittsburgh.
- 51:12Gave something like I forget what the amount was.
- 51:16I gotta look this up here a second.
- 51:18Oh, here we go.
- 51:19I was gonna say 10,000, it's not 10,000, it's 10 million.
- 51:23Uh UPMC contributes 10 million dollars to Pittsburgh for ambulances, freeing up money for the city to also buy additional snow plows.
- 51:37Under the last mayor, Pittsburgh had something like 75% of its snow removal fleet was down.
- 51:46It was out of service, out of commission.
- 51:51The previous mayor had bankrupted the city.
- 51:54He didn't put any money back into upkeep to repairs on the snow removal system.
- 51:59Well, Pittsburgh got hit with a big snowstorm, and it almost shut the city down.
- 52:07They had to contract or subcontract with other companies with private companies for snow removal, and they did a really good job.
- 52:14Pittsburgh actually, it was like the opposite of what happened in New York City.
- 52:18Pittsburgh actually did a really good job with not a lot of equipment to uh to handle the snow removal.
- 52:27You know, they they they had very little to work with, and they just made it work.
- 52:32They were like, you know, we're gonna figure this out and we're just gonna do it.
- 52:35Well, UPMC saw how well the city had coordinated, and they were like, we want to be a part of that.
- 52:44So they donated 10 million dollars for emergency vehicles and including ambulances and upgrading their snow equipment, their snow removal equipment.
- 52:56And that's just one company.
- 52:58So, you know, where you have billionaires, you tend to have this kind of philanthropy.
- 53:05And even though you don't hear about it, because again, politicians don't want you to hear about it.
- 53:10They want to villainize them, and they're like, oh, those wealthy CEOs.
- 53:15All right, that's just so dumb.
- 53:19What's actually happening is that when transparency is encouraged, when lower taxes is encouraged, when cutting budgets is encouraged.
- 53:38Now, not cutting for the sake of cutting, but cutting for the sake of cutting fat.
- 53:45You cut the things that just don't work out of your uh entirely out of your budget.
- 53:51And then when there's a plan to eradicate homeless, to eradicate poverty, to provide jobs for people living in poverty, to say our state is a state for everybody.
- 54:10We don't discriminate.
- 54:12We we are a state for everybody.
- 54:14We care for everybody, everybody has opportunity.
- 54:18Uh we're all responsible for ourselves.
- 54:20We can't look at other states and be like, well, you know, that it's their problem, their fault.
- 54:26Florida is responsible for Florida.
- 54:30Floridians are responsible for Floridians.
- 54:35Everybody tends to work together.
- 54:38And Florida legitimately is becoming a model for the rest of America and hopefully for the rest of the world.
- 54:49So I want you to listen to this quote.
- 54:53Florida's actually delivering on the promise of freedom and free enterprise.
- 54:59If you've got a family that wants to thrive or a company that that wants to thrive, I think people are realizing Flirt is not just this idea and experiment.
- 55:10We're actually doing it, and it's working.
- 55:13And I think that's what's most gratifying to me.
- 55:16That's a quote again by Mark Wilson.
- 55:22He went on to say, he's got a lot of good quotes.
- 55:24I really like Wilson.
- 55:26He said, These billionaires believe that Florida can do this, and they want to be here to take advantage of the innovation, the creativity, the resiliency, the growth opportunity that we have here in Florida.
- 55:38And states like California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, they're literally killing innovation.
- 55:43They're literally putting a lid on those types of opportunities that really make America as good as it is.
- 55:50So when you have states like Florida that encourage billionaires and they actually have conversations with them, they give them a seat at the table, and they give them an equal seat at the table with everybody else.
- 56:04What they tend to do is the billionaires begin to see the people sitting across the table from them.
- 56:10They see the person who's struggling.
- 56:12They see the person who has a hard time making ends meet, who's putting their Venmo information out in the uh social media sphere because they're just desperate.
- 56:24They're desperate for money, they're desperate for opportunity.
- 56:28So these billionaires begin to see those people, and they say, how can we, how can we work together to fix that problem?
- 56:36How do we work together to provide jobs and opportunity?
- 56:40And that's why I'm excited about Florida.
- 56:43I really, really, really think that they're gonna prove to be such a good model.
- 56:50And we're gonna see poverty really maybe not be eliminated, but we're certainly gonna see much better communities and people having so much better opportunity to work and to get jobs that are actually sustainable for their families.
- 57:04That, my friends, is the hidden lightness.

- 57:15There is a hidden lightness that shines inside of all of us.
- 57:18When there's so much darkness that envelops the world, remember that it doesn't take much light to expose that darkness and to ultimately inspire other people.
- 57:26Join me in being a light.
