- 0:08Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Just Speak on Gabble presented by Filo. If you start sorry,
- 0:22Speaker 2: should it go? If you start a stripper business with
- 0:25Speaker 2: your best friend and they don't pay their yeah, what
- 0:28Speaker 2: do why? Judge Bath? This is uncomfortable. And if you
- 0:34Speaker 2: accidentally move a cake at a birthday party and it
- 0:37Speaker 2: falls down, can you have your cake and eat it too?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Christina Press tell us real people? Okay, sir, thank you'll?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Presented by follow Hello, everybody, welcome the Young Gavel Gabble
- 0:53Speaker 3: weekly show where we talk about court court room TV.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Now that's right. Say what if we go to a court?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Do you think we could get the Greenville Court Chamber
- 1:05Speaker 2: of Commerce to let us do this show live in
- 1:09Speaker 2: the court? Boy? That's the dream really right? Yeah, I've
- 1:13Speaker 2: never even thought about it until right now.
- 1:15Speaker 4: I know a few lawyers in town. I bet we could.
- 1:18Speaker 4: We could get access to a court room.
- 1:20Speaker 2: We need a judge though, right, get a judge in
- 1:22Speaker 2: there with us, an actual judge.
- 1:24Speaker 4: So I thought it was just us getting to use
- 1:27Speaker 4: the facility.
- 1:28Speaker 2: You will no, No, I I like I like it
- 1:31Speaker 2: just as this. But if we get a judge middle chair,
- 1:34Speaker 2: middle chair judge, try and stop us. Remember when we
- 1:37Speaker 2: interviewed Judge Alex I do was the time I watched
- 1:43Speaker 2: Justice for All with just Judge Christina pre a show.
- 1:47Speaker 1: That I almost always forget.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Exists, Yes me too Yesterday and Judge Faith those two
- 1:53Speaker 4: I always forget that.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I went on. I went onto the YouTube TV where
- 1:57Speaker 2: you have a lot of them stored, and I was like,
- 1:59Speaker 2: this is a show. Oh it's a show still show
- 2:01Speaker 2: that I is still on, like new episode, I don't
- 2:04Speaker 2: think So, okay, would you like me to go first?
- 2:06Speaker 2: I had Judge Mathis. I always love a mathis I do?
- 2:10Speaker 2: I love mathis one out of every three that we
- 2:11Speaker 2: do that's been true to stand by that it's a
- 2:14Speaker 2: it's a good standby. It's a good stand by. I
- 2:16Speaker 2: mean you know. First, okay, Jasmine Dixon is suing Dixon
- 2:24Speaker 2: is suing Candice Jones for three hundred dollars. Wowsers, Justice Buddy,
- 2:33Speaker 2: Justice for All, Justice for All, even for three hundred
- 2:36Speaker 2: and ten dollars. So uh, Jasmine just celebrated her at
- 2:41Speaker 2: thirty firth thirty fifth birthday, thirty first birth it's a
- 2:45Speaker 2: thirty fourth first. Do you have anything to say to Jasmine?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Happy birthday, Jasmine, thank you, gosh, it took you long enough.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Happy thirty Firth thirty fifth, and she claims her cousin
- 2:56Speaker 2: Curly thirty Colin Firth, that's right. She claims that her cousin,
- 3:00Speaker 2: Candace Jones, destroyed her birthday cake on her birthday. Oh no,
- 3:07Speaker 2: I know. So they decide that, uh, this is this is,
- 3:12Speaker 2: this is what's happened here there, cousins, and they decide
- 3:15Speaker 2: we're going to be roommates together at this duplex that
- 3:20Speaker 2: Candace's grandma owns or something like that. They're going to
- 3:24Speaker 2: share this place. So they have a shared courtyard and
- 3:27Speaker 2: a shared driveway, but they have their own rooms and whatnot.
- 3:31Speaker 2: And it wasn't going great dan Uh, she says that
- 3:35Speaker 2: Candace Jasmine does. Jasmin says that Candace is very uptights.
- 3:40Speaker 2: U does not love.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It when she has friends over to her house.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And uh, she used to, she said, she used to
- 3:46Speaker 2: be fun for graduating college.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Let me give a stick in the mud.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Stick in the mud. That don't happen. So for Jasmine's birthday,
- 3:54Speaker 2: she wanted to have some friends over. Sorry, she wanted
- 3:58Speaker 2: to have some friends over to celebrates, and she invited
- 4:03Speaker 2: U Candace to come, and Kandas is like, well, I'm
- 4:05Speaker 2: gonna be out of town.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So Jazmin was like, well, in that case, I'm going.
- 4:11Speaker 2: To invite thirty five to forty people because you're not
- 4:14Speaker 2: here to be a little stick in the mud, bell
- 4:16Speaker 2: stick in the mud. I'm going to invite all my friends.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Thirty five to forty people, they're gonna come. So a
- 4:22Speaker 2: few hours into the party, so the party is Saturday,
- 4:25Speaker 2: Kandas was going out of town and she was gonna
- 4:27Speaker 2: come back on Sunday. But Saturday night, around five pm,
- 4:32Speaker 2: Candace comes rolling in early. She's a day early, and
- 4:37Speaker 2: she wasn't supposed to be back until the next day.
- 4:39Speaker 2: She said she wasn't going to be back. She says,
- 4:40Speaker 2: it was uptight back early, that's right. So she pulls
- 4:46Speaker 2: up and she motions for Jasmine to come on over here,
- 4:49Speaker 2: and it's like, hey, your cake is in my parking spot.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Your cake is yeah. So it was an outdoor party.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Outdoor everybody in the case. So she has a table
- 5:02Speaker 2: set up in the driveway with her cake on the
- 5:05Speaker 2: table and uh, She's like, okay, it's gonna give me
- 5:10Speaker 2: a second. I gotta go get some people to help me,
- 5:13Speaker 2: and uh, Jasmine says, Candas got really mad, just sped off.
- 5:17Speaker 2: She comes back at about an hour later, and I
- 5:21Speaker 2: cannot believe that the cake is still there in her
- 5:25Speaker 2: parking spot.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And uh so she uh says.
- 5:31Speaker 2: What's going on? You gotta move this cake. And she says, okay,
- 5:34Speaker 2: let me go get some people to help me. So uh,
- 5:38Speaker 2: Cannas says that Jasmine was gone for like twenty minutes,
- 5:42Speaker 2: just wasn't coming. Yeah, and so she decides, I'm gonna
- 5:45Speaker 2: take matters in my own hands. Yeah, I'm going to
- 5:47Speaker 2: move the cake. Move the you gotta move it. You
- 5:50Speaker 2: gotta move move, move that bus, move that cake. And
- 5:54Speaker 2: so she attempts to show me the table cake is
- 5:58Speaker 2: on top of the table, trying to me it over
- 6:01Speaker 2: and the cake falls off onto the ground. Three dollars
- 6:06Speaker 2: cake really, and Cannae's whole thing that she keeps harping
- 6:11Speaker 2: on is I was gone for an hour. I went
- 6:15Speaker 2: to the grocery store and you hadn't moved. You had
- 6:17Speaker 2: any chance, And Jasmine says, I you sped off like
- 6:22Speaker 2: you were mad. I didn't think that you were going
- 6:23Speaker 2: to come back, Okay, So that's why she didn't move
- 6:27Speaker 2: the cake. That's why she had moved the cake the
- 6:28Speaker 2: first time. We didn't. We didn't see a picture of
- 6:31Speaker 2: the cake. And I'm going to show it to you.
- 6:33Speaker 2: It's I can't really show it to the Maybe this
- 6:35Speaker 2: is a show. It's very tall.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Okay, there it's a Oh that's a big that's a real,
- 6:40Speaker 4: very cake for three ten dollars.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I know, it's very impressive. It is a base and
- 6:45Speaker 2: then one two, three, four, five, six, seven eight layers
- 6:50Speaker 2: on top of that base. Wow, cost her three hundred
- 6:53Speaker 2: ten dollars. So Judge Perez is like, I'm looking at
- 6:58Speaker 2: this cake, and I would say, it's pretty clear that
- 7:02Speaker 2: you can't move that cake by yourself. This is a
- 7:04Speaker 2: very tall, big, I mean you cake. And didn't she say, hey,
- 7:10Speaker 2: I need I need to go get some people to
- 7:13Speaker 2: help me. Wouldn't that have clues you in that maybe
- 7:16Speaker 2: cakes too big for one person to move? And she said, well, listen,
- 7:19Speaker 2: I gave I told her, I gave her a whole hour,
- 7:21Speaker 2: and then I come back and I give her twenty
- 7:23Speaker 2: more minutes. She was gone for twenty more minutes and
- 7:26Speaker 2: I just need to park my car in my space,
- 7:29Speaker 2: and so I decided to give it a give it
- 7:31Speaker 2: a shot, and ultimately the cake cake fell over. Judge
- 7:38Speaker 2: Perez is ready to rule. Oh my gosh, this is tough.
- 7:44Speaker 2: It's hard because there's no contract. It's just it's just
- 7:48Speaker 2: property damage. But this is her spot, it's her spot
- 7:53Speaker 2: she was she wasn't supposed to be there. I think
- 7:57Speaker 2: that Perez is going to give the money. I think
- 8:01Speaker 2: Perez's gonna give Jasmin the money because she it's a
- 8:06Speaker 2: massive cake she paid for and this woman ruined it.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I don't think I would give Jasmin the money, though,
- 8:12Speaker 2: that's right. Why wouldn't she give her the money? Because
- 8:16Speaker 2: you are you share that the apartment with someone else,
- 8:19Speaker 2: and they have a right to their space as agreed
- 8:24Speaker 2: upon by your lease. And at the oh, maybe she'll
- 8:27Speaker 2: give her half. I don't know.
- 8:29Speaker 4: I wouldn't give her any money. I think it's a
- 8:31Speaker 4: it's a it's a move. It's a move your roommate's home.
- 8:33Speaker 4: You got to give them the space.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Here's what Judge Peress says. Judge Press says, here's the thing.
- 8:39Speaker 2: You were supposed to be gone until the next day.
- 8:42Speaker 2: You came back with no notice. She had obviously made
- 8:46Speaker 2: plans as if you weren't going to be there. Yep,
- 8:49Speaker 2: you showed back up, and it is clear that you
- 8:53Speaker 2: shouldn't have tried to move the cake. It is eight
- 8:55Speaker 2: layers on top of a big base on a table
- 8:59Speaker 2: on a driveway, especially when you're frustrated. You gave her
- 9:04Speaker 2: permission to have the party, so for that reason, you're
- 9:08Speaker 2: liable for the cake three hundred and ten dollars in
- 9:12Speaker 2: favor of the plaintiff. Yeah, that's tough. That is hard.
- 9:16Speaker 2: It's tough. Like I understand. I get it though, Like
- 9:18Speaker 2: if I if you say, hey, I'm going to be
- 9:21Speaker 2: out of town in London, correct, and I throw a
- 9:23Speaker 2: big party here at the office, and you come back
- 9:26Speaker 2: and you start going like just being like really mad
- 9:28Speaker 2: that I'm throwing this party, even though you said that
- 9:30Speaker 2: I could do it, but you're back early. You don't
- 9:32Speaker 2: want me to do it, and so you like just
- 9:34Speaker 2: ruin something accidental or not. There's frustration there a lot,
- 9:38Speaker 2: and I think that that leads to maybe some uh
- 9:41Speaker 2: you maybe she should have said, hey, I'll help you
- 9:43Speaker 2: move the cake, like the the I get, I get
- 9:47Speaker 2: the frustration. One she should have communicated, hey, I'm going
- 9:50Speaker 2: to the store when I come back, I want this.
- 9:52Speaker 2: There's a lot that was she didn't do that. Yes, Two,
- 9:56Speaker 2: she should have gone after her when she didn't show,
- 9:58Speaker 2: when she didn't come back to the CA with somebody
- 10:00Speaker 2: say hey, where yet, let's go over the cake together. Something.
- 10:04Speaker 1: She did a lot of assuming.
- 10:08Speaker 2: That she was going to do something correct and then
- 10:10Speaker 2: just finally got frustrated and tried to do it. And
- 10:12Speaker 2: I made a mistake. And I think ultimately that I
- 10:15Speaker 2: let me ask you this.
- 10:16Speaker 4: So I had a roommate for a long time in college,
- 10:18Speaker 4: and he and I hardly ever got in a fight,
- 10:21Speaker 4: still for Ana, not Danny Tampboa, but one time we
- 10:24Speaker 4: did get in a fight, a legit argument. I left.
- 10:27Speaker 4: We were renting. My uncle had a house. We were
- 10:30Speaker 4: renting at the time, but we're it's a full lease,
- 10:33Speaker 4: like it wasn't like it was just an under the
- 10:35Speaker 4: table thing, but it was my uncle's house. I left.
- 10:41Speaker 4: He and some friends were gonna all smoke cigars in
- 10:44Speaker 4: the back porch. Started raining, They went inside and smoked
- 10:48Speaker 4: the cigars. It I came back made my like just
- 10:55Speaker 4: like breathing in there made my throat hurt. And it
- 10:59Speaker 4: at that point, who should have paid. None of us paid.
- 11:02Speaker 4: We didn't do anything about it. We didn't Who.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Should have paid?
- 11:06Speaker 4: Should Would I have the right to be like, you
- 11:07Speaker 4: got to pay to get this thing fumigated or cleaned
- 11:10Speaker 4: or something.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Uh, if it's against the lease, yeah then yeah, yeah
- 11:14Speaker 2: it should have been all him, right, Yes, Okay, I
- 11:16Speaker 2: just want to feel like I was if to smoke
- 11:20Speaker 2: in the house, yeah, and you smoke in the house.
- 11:22Speaker 2: The person that smokes in the house is responsible for.
- 11:24Speaker 2: The weird part was it was in like a bonus room,
- 11:26Speaker 2: which was, but it was insulated. It's a weird. Hey,
- 11:29Speaker 2: let's go to Judge Manth's courtroom, shall we. I would
- 11:32Speaker 2: love to Lisa Cobb is suing Christen doubt doubt it.
- 11:39Speaker 2: D o U dt not bt doubt Kristen doubt for
- 11:44Speaker 2: forty eight hundred dollars. Whoa a little bit more money
- 11:48Speaker 2: than three to that's right now. These ladies are both
- 11:52Speaker 2: they're probably late forties, early fifties, would be my guess.
- 11:57Speaker 2: That would be my guest. There.
- 11:58Speaker 4: One is Platinum, b on one is Brunette. Lisa starts
- 12:03Speaker 4: off and says, your honor, it's it's Lisa and Kristen, right,
- 12:06Speaker 4: your honor. I'm gonna be calling her Sadie for the
- 12:10Speaker 4: whole thing, and I'm really really sorry. That's her name
- 12:12Speaker 4: in our business is Sadie, and I'm Sydney. She's probably
- 12:16Speaker 4: gonna call me Sydney. You need to know that ahead
- 12:18Speaker 4: of time. So these two ladies go by Sadie and Sydney.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Not Sydney is suing Sadie. Say, Sydney is suing Sadie.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Lisa is Sydney, Kristin is Sadie. Yeah easy, this is easy.
- 12:30Speaker 2: So then she goes your honor.
- 12:31Speaker 4: We're professional models. We work as a team. We do
- 12:34Speaker 4: go go dancing, will clean your house, We'll drive your car.
- 12:38Speaker 4: We'll do anything wearing uh sexy outfits that you want
- 12:42Speaker 4: us to do. I didn't know there was a market
- 12:44Speaker 4: for this, and well you get it, you get you're right,
- 12:48Speaker 4: we'll not hiring us to.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yeah yah, we'll drive. I'll drive your car. Yeah absolutely,
- 12:56Speaker 2: I love driving. So we get it. Right after she
- 12:59Speaker 2: says that, we get a camera shot of Mathis and
- 13:02Speaker 2: he is like like win sing like okay, um yeah uh,
- 13:10Speaker 2: and she's like Lisa's like, we're getting old, we're getting older.
- 13:13Speaker 2: So we wanted to start our own company, hire some
- 13:15Speaker 2: girls of our own to do this where we could
- 13:17Speaker 2: be the boss and all choose when we want to work.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And so in December, we were getting our tax returns
- 13:23Speaker 2: and we decided that together. You know, the more I'm
- 13:25Speaker 2: thinking of this, Sydney and Sady are a lot like us,
- 13:29Speaker 2: You're gonna you're gonna start to see that illustration as
- 13:31Speaker 2: we move forward. Aside from the whole sexy outfits, go
- 13:33Speaker 2: go dancing part of it, that's just for us. Yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 2: that's yeah, that's not for anyone else. I'll take thank
- 13:38Speaker 2: you MANE appreciate it. Amazon.
- 13:40Speaker 4: And it's a hazardous material, so look out. We'll open
- 13:46Speaker 4: that later. Uh, I'm gonna just keep it upright just
- 13:49Speaker 4: in case. Okay, So so it might be bombed, who knows.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Uh, we'll see you.
- 13:56Speaker 4: So we figured we needed ten thousand dollars to start
- 13:59Speaker 4: the business, and and Lisa's like, my tax reterm is
- 14:02Speaker 4: going to be forty eight hundred. So I gave that
- 14:06Speaker 4: to Kristen and I said, we're going to start this business.
- 14:11Speaker 2: And she agreed to match it. And she's going to college,
- 14:15Speaker 2: she has more business experience, and I just trusted her
- 14:19Speaker 2: to start all this, so what that's still not ten
- 14:22Speaker 2: thousand dollars It isn't for it would be ninety six hundred.
- 14:25Speaker 4: But she's like, that's all I had, and so we
- 14:26Speaker 4: weren't quite a ten thousand, but but you know, Christin
- 14:29Speaker 4: agreed to match. Okay, so you know we it's been
- 14:33Speaker 4: two years since I did that and we still don't
- 14:35Speaker 4: have a business.
- 14:37Speaker 2: And Judge Matthis is like, what do you mean you
- 14:38Speaker 2: don't have a business. She's do you have a business?
- 14:41Speaker 2: And she's like, well, we have one, but we've not
- 14:42Speaker 2: done anything with that money. He's like, what do you
- 14:44Speaker 2: mean She's like, He's like. Lisa's like, well, I wanted
- 14:47Speaker 2: to advertise, pay money to advertise where you get good clientele.
- 14:51Speaker 2: We've advertised on Craigslist, which is just free and gets
- 14:54Speaker 2: a bunch of creepy people. And I tried to take steps.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I don't listen, I don't have a kind of experience
- 15:01Speaker 2: in the sexy cleaning space. Yes, some, but not much.
- 15:06Speaker 2: But you cannot post about it on you can't. You can't,
- 15:10Speaker 2: you can't, and it's not gonna do what you hope
- 15:12Speaker 2: that it'll do. So then he's she says, I did
- 15:16Speaker 2: take steps without that money. I made business cards on
- 15:19Speaker 2: my own. We see pictures of the business cards. Their
- 15:22Speaker 2: business company is called two Hot Babes. Uh.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Matthes sees the car truck uh and and it's it
- 15:30Speaker 4: is they're tough.
- 15:32Speaker 2: They're tough. She's like, we also did photo shoots, not
- 15:35Speaker 2: with the business money paid for that separately. Why well,
- 15:38Speaker 2: she thought that Kristen was using this money to start
- 15:41Speaker 2: their business legitimately bank account the stuff that I did LLC.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Imagine if we didn't have any of that, And I
- 15:48Speaker 2: just told you we did, right, that's kind of where
- 15:49Speaker 2: we are, right. So we see the photo shoots called
- 15:53Speaker 2: so we have all that stuff, I promise. She's like,
- 15:57Speaker 2: the only thing Kristen did is a website. And that's
- 15:59Speaker 2: free as a website. It costs us nothing. It's one
- 16:01Speaker 2: of her so website.
- 16:03Speaker 4: So we haven't gotten any business from the money. We've
- 16:06Speaker 4: gotten business, but it's from the free stuff. It's not
- 16:09Speaker 4: from the business money that I gave her. And and
- 16:13Speaker 4: and she's mathis is like, do you have any proof
- 16:16Speaker 4: of what she's used the money for?
- 16:18Speaker 2: She's like, no, I don't. When she when they cause
- 16:22Speaker 2: she says that they have gotten some some jobs where
- 16:26Speaker 2: does that money go? So Mathis is like, I'm confused.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Have you gotten customers for your business? She goes, yes,
- 16:33Speaker 2: we've gotten customers through our old company that still went
- 16:36Speaker 2: with us. And my best guess is a lot of
- 16:39Speaker 2: these are cash transfers, so there's no bank account. They're
- 16:42Speaker 2: just splitting the cash even and taking the cash I see.
- 16:45Speaker 4: So Kristin is now it's time for her to talk Sadie,
- 16:49Speaker 4: if you will, and she said, well not, I've known
- 16:52Speaker 4: Sydney Lisa for about ten years and I've been a
- 16:55Speaker 4: go go dancer for seventeen. It's at this point that
- 16:58Speaker 4: Mathis has her go go dancer six times and he goes,
- 17:02Speaker 4: it has been seventeen years, ma'am, because they don't call
- 17:05Speaker 4: them go go dancers anymore. And she goes, well, I
- 17:09Speaker 4: started as a go go dancer and we progressed from there.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Let's just say that. And she's kind of winking at
- 17:13Speaker 4: the camera and Mattheson goes, y'all are strippers. That's what
- 17:17Speaker 4: you are. Your strippers, that's what he says. And Christen's like,
- 17:22Speaker 4: we don't like the term stripper. But she's smiling, very
- 17:25Speaker 4: winky smiling, like whatever, we don't like the term stripper.
- 17:29Speaker 4: My guess is is that the TV show production studio
- 17:32Speaker 4: told them not to say stripper.
- 17:34Speaker 2: That is my best guess here. I see that is
- 17:36Speaker 2: clearly what they're their escorts. That is what they are.
- 17:39Speaker 2: There's no doubt that their escorts. That is like the
- 17:43Speaker 2: way that they talk is will show up to your house,
- 17:47Speaker 2: we'll clean your house, we'll go on, we'll go places
- 17:52Speaker 2: with you, we'll drive your car. It's very clear what
- 17:56Speaker 2: they are. It is like window you know the song
- 18:00Speaker 2: cheese burger. Okay, yeah, the vegetails one. So Kristin continues,
- 18:08Speaker 2: we in December we decided to make a company in agreement,
- 18:11Speaker 2: and we agreed that it was fifty to fifty. But
- 18:13Speaker 2: there's no time limit on starting that company.
- 18:15Speaker 4: We never had any paperwork saying there was to like
- 18:17Speaker 4: we're gonna have this company started by a certain amount
- 18:19Speaker 4: of time.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Mathis goes, did y'all go both go fifty to fifty?
- 18:23Speaker 2: And Christin goes yeah, and he goes, well, Lisa says,
- 18:27Speaker 2: she gave you forty eight hundred dollars, did you match that?
- 18:32Speaker 2: And Kristen's like, she only gave me three thousand dollars.
- 18:35Speaker 2: And I've not put any money in it yet, but
- 18:37Speaker 2: I'm going to. But she only gave me three thousand,
- 18:39Speaker 2: not forty eight hundred. Lisa's like, no, I gave you
- 18:41Speaker 2: forty eight hundred. Matthis Is goes, do you have any
- 18:43Speaker 2: evidence of the money you gave her? Lisa, No, I don't.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Why not because I gave her cash? Well, did you
- 18:50Speaker 2: did it go to a bank account? Lisa says it was.
- 18:53Speaker 2: She was supposed to start a bank account. Did you
- 18:54Speaker 2: follow up with her? I've asked her. So he turns, Okay, Kristin,
- 18:59Speaker 2: where's the money. Where's the money that she gave you?
- 19:01Speaker 2: You say it's three thousand, She says, it's forty eight hundred.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Where is it.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Christen's like, well, I've got some costumes that we purchased,
- 19:09Speaker 4: and I've got the receipts for those costumes.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I also have.
- 19:16Speaker 4: A few other things that have some money attached to
- 19:18Speaker 4: them with some receipts. Mathis gets that, and then he says,
- 19:21Speaker 4: why don't you contribute your half of the money, and
- 19:23Speaker 4: Kristen goes, I contributed more than half of the time
- 19:27Speaker 4: designing the website, a website she was never happy with
- 19:30Speaker 4: and always asked me to.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Feed Yahite the Yahoo website.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Yeah, and Maths is like, but the agreement was cash,
- 19:37Speaker 4: not to work it off. And then the crowd laughs
- 19:40Speaker 4: when he says work it off, and he's like, no
- 19:42Speaker 4: pun intended. He's very serious. Lisa says she bought costumes
- 19:49Speaker 4: for herself. Those costumes don't fit me. I don't know
- 19:52Speaker 4: what I'm supposed to do with those costumes. Just because
- 19:54Speaker 4: she has receipts for these costumes doesn't mean she spent
- 19:56Speaker 4: my money on them.
- 19:57Speaker 2: It's a good point, right, but it is also more
- 20:01Speaker 2: proof than so we spent so we have fourteen and
- 20:04Speaker 2: forty dollars of receipts. Kristin claims Lisa gave her three
- 20:08Speaker 2: thousand dollars. Kristin also claims she's not given herself any money.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Lisa is suing for forty eight hundred. Judge Mathis is ready, well,
- 20:17Speaker 2: obviously this is tricky, because real tricky. Shidney the first woman, Yes,
- 20:22Speaker 2: that has no proof that she gave the money. Yes,
- 20:26Speaker 2: but what they what they can both agree on is
- 20:30Speaker 2: that there was some money getting us. I think that
- 20:34Speaker 2: we gotta we gotta go with three thousand is the
- 20:39Speaker 2: money that was given and I think I think we'll
- 20:42Speaker 2: do three thousand minus the fourteen forty whatever of receipts. Yep,
- 20:46Speaker 2: so that is what she will get. You're very very close.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Mathis says you don't have any proof, but the defendant
- 20:53Speaker 4: admits to receiving three thousand dollars, so you rowed that back.
- 20:57Speaker 4: But she spent fourteen forty of that money. Three thousand
- 21:00Speaker 4: minus fourteen forty is fifteen sixty. Here's where he adds
- 21:04Speaker 4: it to it. You were also entitled to half of
- 21:08Speaker 4: the money. She spent fifty to fifty split, So she
- 21:11Speaker 4: took your three thousand, she spent fourteen forty on herself.
- 21:15Speaker 4: You also get seven hundred and twenty of that. Your
- 21:18Speaker 4: judgment is for two thousand, two hundred and eighty dollars.
- 21:21Speaker 4: All air enough after kof matthis gabble.
- 21:23Speaker 2: There you go. What a time, Well we did every May. Congratulations.
