Iowa’s deer hunting just got a major overhaul—hunters west of the state line are now split into two zones, with Zone B (covering 8 counties) banning general deer licenses for non-antlered bucks to better manage deer populations. New licenses go on sale August 15th at 9 AM, first-come, first-served, and Zone A and B licenses don’t cross over. DNR meetings this week help hunters prep—and this zone might expand if needed.
