- 0:16SPEAKER_01: and they're not safe for work or polite company of any kind whatsoever.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: I am your podcast host, The Opinionated Ogre, and this is my co-host, Florida Woman.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Hello, Florida Woman.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Good morning, everybody.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: It's I guess it worked out for you that you are homeschooling your youngest now
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: that Florida schools are going to be crawling with chickenpox,
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: hepatitis B, strep,
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: pneumonia, and meningitis thanks to Republicans rolling back vaccine requirements.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Good timing for you.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I literally yesterday was like, oh, thank God he's not there.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, seriously.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Because he's the right age.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Because, you know, elementary school is where it gets hit the hardest.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: And the younger grades is where it gets hit the hardest.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: And he's how old again?
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: He's seven.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: So he would have been in what?
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Second grade?
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, he's in second.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, that's it would just would have been swarming with disease.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: And this is what they're doing now.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: This is what Republicans are doing.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: And this is just the beginning.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Every year or so, they're going to roll back.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: And no one's really asking for this, right?
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: This is not the Republican base isn't out there screaming for this.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: They really aren't.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: This is not the Republican Party reacting to the demands from the base.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: This is the base following because they're fucking sheep.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: But Republicans are doing this to just they're fostering a distrust in science
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: and experts and people because that's what they do.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: And people with sick kids are angry people who are going to be looking for it.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Scapegoats like immigrants and gay men and Jews
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: because everyone knows they carry tons of diseases.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: And in case you think I'm exaggerating,
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: this is exactly what the Nazis did and
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: whose playbook do you think Republicans are reading from?
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: They're literally doing this right now in Florida, which we're going to get to in headlines.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: Like I was looking through the notes
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: and you mentioned this is something they're quite literally doing right now.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: So yeah, they're just getting started.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: So this is only going to get worse.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: Can't wait.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Looking forward to it.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: So super excited.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Super excited.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: This is a recording for August 27th, 2026.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: And we have a lot to get to on episode 111 of the Ogpod.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Are you ready to do this?
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Hell yeah.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Woo!
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Then let's get to it.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: It's time for the Ogre Nation news update.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Okay,
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: so there's good news and bad news about Monday's infinitely corrupt SCOTUS ruling
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: on Trump's infinitely corrupt executive order about mail-in ballots and
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: the midterms.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: We're going to start with the bad news.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: The sixth most corrupt justices in American history are allowing And bad,
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: treasonous, Jesus-hating Democrats who should...
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: According to the six most corrupt justices in American history,
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: just creating these lists is not in and of itself illegal.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: And I would beg to differ, but I'm not on Supreme Court.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: And since it's not illegal and no actual harm is being done yet,
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: according to the six most corrupt justices in American history,
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: the states suing have no standing to block the government.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Absolute bullshit.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: It should be pointed out that one could use this same logic to compile a list of gun owners.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Nothing's being done yet.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: We're just collecting data, aren't we?
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: And I promise you,
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: if we tried to do that,
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: if the federal government tried to do that,
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: the six most corrupt justices in American history would clutch their pearls,
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: fall to the ground, and scream about infringement of the Second Amendment.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Funny how that works, isn't it?
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Anyway, other bad news.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: The court refused to rule on whether
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: or not Trump's obviously unconstitutional executive order is,
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: in fact, unconstitutional.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: They're doing this to give Trump as much time as possible to cause
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: The Constitution is black letter clear on this.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: This is as clear as birthright citizenship.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: The president, the executive branch, has no citizenship.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Congress has some say in it.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: They can pass laws to some degree regulating it.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: But this is literally states' rights issue.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: The six most corrupt justices in American history are dodging the question for now
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: to allow Trump to pretend he has some say in it so he can lie to the public
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: about how Now, here's the good news.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: These lists that Trump wants,
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: or rather the Project 2025 people around him telling him what to do because...
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: Russell votes.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he doesn't understand any of this.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: He's too stupid to understand any of this.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: These lists are huge, complicated, and messy.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: Under the best of circumstances,
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: with a competent government working in good faith,
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: this would It's going to take months, if not years, to do.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: The regime has just weeks,
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: not even months,
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: just weeks,
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: because ballots are already starting to go out,
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: and they have to get rid of all the competent people.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: So there's not a chance in fucking hell they're going to get this time ready in time
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: to implement any of this.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: Even so,
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: it's important to understand the purpose of the six most corrupt justices
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: in American history doing this was to give Trump the ability
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: to manufacture new laws.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Rigged election lies.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: And gee whiz,
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Trump was going to protect the elections from tens of millions
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: of fake mail-in ballots,
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: but Democrats sued and stopped him and delayed him and blah, blah, blah.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: Hey, six most corrupt justices in American history.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: I think we should throw out all of these mail-in ballots that are obviously fake
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: and all from Democrats.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: Don't you agree?
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: And so on and so forth.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: He's going to try to get the Supreme Court to do this.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Is that going to work?
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: No, it's not plausible.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Throwing out a few thousand or even a few tens of thousands in a single state,
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: that might slide by the public because- You know,
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: we tend to overlook that sort of thing.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: But this would have to be millions of ballots across all the country,
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: across every state, in order to keep the Senate and House under Trump's control.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: And doing this all in the middle of an economic collapse,
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: a deeply unpopular war,
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: and polling so bad that even Nate Silver is like,
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: holy shit, guys, Texas is in play for real, y'all.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: No one's going to believe Republicans weren't crushed in a massive blue wave,
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: that they somehow won.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: No one's going to believe that.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: It's too cartoonish to be plausible that Republicans...
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: Republicans held onto power.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: And we say this all the time.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Stolen elections have to be plausible, at least before the coup.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Afterwards, not so much.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: Once the coup is complete, You can look at Russia.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: Putin always wins with 90% of the electorate.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: So they're just like, oh, yeah, I guess he did win.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Now, here's a high note to close this out on.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: The six most corrupt justices in American history keep setting fire to
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: the last Tiny shreds of their legitimacy.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: And by 2028, there's not going to be anything left.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: And that's going to give Democrats all the political capital they need to reform
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: the court any fucking way they want.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Terminal.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: They're going to do anything they want because these guys have made it so utterly clear that
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: They're not following anything resembling the rule of the Constitution.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: They're just political hacks working for bribes.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: So keep fucking around, assholes.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: President AOC or President Ossoff is absolutely going to introduce you to
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: the finding out phase in 2029.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: And now you've jinxed both AOC and Ossoff.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: I do that.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: It's what I do for fun.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: I literally hate it so much.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Every election cycle, I yell at him about that.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: And that's why I do it.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: So in a hilarious twist, the leopards are eating the faces of Trump supporting ranchers.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: On Friday,
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: he announced that he would allow 300,000 metric tons of beef to enter
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: the United States without being subject to...
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: Mr. Art of the Deal said the beef would be sold at 25% below market prices.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Now, a lot of the reporting is just that he's allowing beef into the United States,
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: but don't get it twisted.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: The poors, which at this point is all of us, Aren't going to be able to buy delicious steaks.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: If you thought you were going to get a ribeye at 25% below the market price,
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: you're fucking wrong.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Because the great orange diddler-in-chief is only allowing beef trimmings to enter
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: without a tariff.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: That's like the fat in the beef that they cut off while they're making other cuts of meat.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: So while they're making that ribeye for the rich people...
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Who can still afford it at full price...
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Or the upper middle class, I'm sorry.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: You're getting the fucking scraps.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: And not even the scraps from American Beef.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: They're going to be brought in from somewhere else.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: You might get some glass with it, too.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Personally?
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Mmm, hamburger helper.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Mmm, yummy.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: Which, by the way, is already cheap enough.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: I know that in some places ground beef is expensive,
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: but I can find ground beef for like $1.99 at Sprouts when they have sales
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: and you just stock up on it.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: But anyways, that's my rant about that because I'm real mad.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay, I might be okay with this if I can get a ribeye.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Because your girl loves a ribeye.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: How bougie of you.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: I love a ribeye.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: I won't lie.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: Wanting real, real food.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: No.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: But instead, he's like, take this ground beef.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: I've had enough white people tacos.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: But Trump loves hamburgers.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: So as far as he's concerned, you know.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: I did think about that.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: But he only likes hamburger from McDonald's.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Which is barely beef.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Where's the beef?
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: And you can bet your bottom dollar that you're not getting that cheeseburger for cheaper.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: So anyways,
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: while I stew over the audacity of that fucker,
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: farmers and ranchers who overwhelmingly voted for Trump are livid.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: These are people...
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: People who ran to the voting booth in 2024 to cast their ballots for him.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: Nearly 80% of America's farming communities voted to elect the dude who spent
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: the last two years undercutting them.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Multiple state ranching and cattle organizations came out
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: against his beef announcement over the weekend.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: I kept sending him to Ogre in our chat.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Honestly, it could be a national security chat because it's on Signal.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, let's add a couple of New York Times reporters, Atlantic reporter, and Pete Hegseth.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: The National Cattlemen's Beef Association issued a statement accusing
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: the Trump regime of,
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: quote, putting their finger on the scale for one cattle industry group for another.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: The group also accused Trump of trying to impact the midterms with the move,
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: saying, quote, it is 100% about the 74 days between now and the midterm elections.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: I love drinking to tears of MAGA.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: And the group also criticized him for the instability he's creating with his trade policies.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: The group said, quote, U.S. farmers and ranchers need stability.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, so do we.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Unlike the spur of the moment trading decisions made based
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: on White House social media posts,
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: the decisions and investments ranchers make in their herds are made years
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: in advance, not days or weeks.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: I was like, oof, that was a burn.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: You're telling me that trade decisions made on the toilet at 3 a.m. are not good decisions?
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Who would have thought?
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Welcome to America in 2026, fuckers.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: This is what you voted for.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Makes it even better.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: So it's easy to see why farmers would be so angry.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: I mean, 80% of the voted for him.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: And his announcement comes at a time when there have been record shipments of fresh
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: and frozen beef entering the U.S.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: market from New Zealand,
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: Nicaragua, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Brazil, and Argentina.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: So they are just taking it right up the woof.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: And they probably don't have screw worm.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: The farmers are going to wish they had screw worm.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: So while the Oval Office squatter didn't say exactly where the new shipments
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: of beef are coming from,
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: he has previously suggested that he would import more from Argentina.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Now, I will say that Argentina does have high quality beef.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: However, again, we're not getting the fucking ribeyes.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: So still got to go to an Argentine steakhouse for that.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: If the deal struck is with Argentina,
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: that would just be one more way that he's been helping Javier Mile,
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: which is the president of Argentina,
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: also known as South America's Trump,
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: and how he's benefited a lot from Trump's policies.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: That was a big phenomenon.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: And even though the nation has repaid the loan,
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: the trade came at a time when the regime was making deep cuts to Medicaid,
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Medicare, SNAP benefits.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because we were broke.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: We didn't have any money.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: Somehow we had 20 billion for a loan.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Always money for stupid shit.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: And while Trump is bending over backwards to help his friend in Argentina,
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: he's telling the American people to stop whining about his decisions
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: that have made every fucking aspect of our lives more expensive.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: He literally called concerns over.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Populism.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: I swear to God, I will never, never, never forgive the fucking legacy press because they did it.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: Trump's a populist.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: And it's like, no, he fucking isn't.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: No, he fucking isn't.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: He's lying about it.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: And you fucking know he's lying about it.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: it's all bullshit because,
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: this man literally has a golden fucking toilet bowl and you're pretending he's
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: a fucking populist.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: He's pretending and you're letting him pretend,
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: you know, he's fucking lying and you're still, oh no, Trump's totally a populist.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you know what, man, go fuck yourself.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: I just want to say,
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: every time I hear that Trump is a populist or he's just like us,
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: I think about the rally in Sarasota in 2015.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: That was the rally where I was standing next to the guy that had a sign that said,
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: wetbacks are illegal.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: His super non-racist voters.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: And after the rally, he was giving kids of his supporters rides on his helicopter.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Wow, what a populist.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: And I was like, wow, guys, he's just like you.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: And this is the same press that when Hillary said, yeah, I eat hot sauce.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, my God, she's so fake.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: She's just faking it, blah, blah, blah.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: She's lying.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: She's fake.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: It's like, no, she eats fucking hot sauce.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: She eats hot sauce because.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Hot sauce apparently kicks your fucking metabolism.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: And she eats it because it kicks up her metabolism.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: That's a thing that some people do.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: She's been doing it for years and years and years.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, she's just pandering.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: She's just faking it to sound like she's one of the people.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: And we're like, no.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: If you look, she talks about that like 10, 15, 20 years ago.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: She's like, yeah, no, I eat hot sauce because it helps my metabolism.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: And they were like screaming that she's faking it and she's trying
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: to fake like she's a regular person.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: I remember that whole huge screaming thing.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: And then Trump goes out there.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: It's like, I'm just like you.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: They're like, oh, my goodness.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: Can I ever write on your helicopter?
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's just like us.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: And the press just ate that up with a fucking spoon.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: It's like he has a golden toilet bowl.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: And you're screaming at Hillary Clinton for eating hot sauce.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they said that she was trying to pander to black voters.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: But guys, it's not just black voters that keep hot sauce in their bag.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was like they were screaming that she was pandering,
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: but the guy with the golden toilet bowl, he wasn't pandering.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: He's the actual populace.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Cool, cool, cool.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Now, speaking of the legacy press, it's absurd.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: Fascinating to me that no one in the press is asking the most obvious question
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: of all about this whole fucking beef thing.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: How is Trump personally profiting from it?
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: Because Trump never helps anyone unless he's personalizing.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: He's personally making money from it.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: He never has in his entire life.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Sure, this is supposed to be something that helps him electorally,
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: but he's not going to make a deal with another country to bring beef in here,
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: billions of dollars worth of beef.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: Unless he's personally making money.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: He's never done this in his entire life.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: Why would this be any different?
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: There's definitely a fucking kickback here somewhere.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Someone bought a whole bunch of his cryptocurrencies.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: It's a national security issue.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Did you see that the Washington Post had to hire back
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: the African-American journalist who they fired after Charlie Kirk and they have
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: to pay her back pay?
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: And I'm like...
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure Jeff Bezos is foaming at the mouth
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: because how dare someone tell him no?
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: Rah, rah, rah, rah, rah.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so funny.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: Fuck that guy.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: All right, we're going to move on to our next segment, our perennial favorite.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: I scream, you scream, we all scream because of fucking ice.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: The ICE has once again proven that Trump
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: and Stephen Miller's mass deportation campaign has nothing at all to do
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: with getting criminals out of the country and everything to do with just ridding
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: the nation of immigrants, especially the brown ones.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: So, of course, you know, she had to go now.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: She's been here for God knows how long at this point.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: Armel's husband is a U.S.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: citizen and thought she was just going to a typical green card interview
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: and she was ripped from her family.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: Fucking traumatizing for the husband and the baby, which of course was the point.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: A federal judge in the U.S.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: District Court of the Southern District
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: of Indiana gave immigration officials seven days to respond to
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: a habeas corpus petition filed by Armel's attorney accusing government
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: of illegally detaining her at her change of status interview.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: I just want to add that in years past,
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: the spouses of U.S. citizens almost always received their green card.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah,
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: when you're going through the process,
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: you're told, oh, there's a possibility that you can't get it.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: But even people who had prior criminal records, like felonies, would...
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Or removals would get their citizenship because the government understood that if
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: an American marries somebody,
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: they should be allowed to stay with their husband or wife.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: That is no longer true.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: It's become a lot harder.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: My husband received his green card in 2020.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: We've been married since 2003, so that's how long it took him to get his green card.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: And during the process, he had to travel back to...
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: And the only reason that he got back here in three months was because
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: So even though he now qualifies for citizenship,
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: we refuse to file the paperwork because of how many people are being detained
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: at their green card and citizenship hearings.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: There was a lady who was detained right before she was going to take the citizenship oath.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she was dead.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: She was done.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: She just had to take the opinion.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: She was approved.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and they didn't deport her, but they detained her.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: And that's the way that the regime is treating families like ours.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: It's disgusting.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: The cruelty is the point.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: It was never about legal or illegal immigration.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: It was never about criminals.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: It was not about any of this.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: It was just about deporting as many immigrants as they fucking can
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: to make this country white again.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: And that is why we always say Nuremberg them all.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: Abso-fucking-lutely.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: Ugh.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: In other ICE news, U.S.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: CIS, announced green card applicants will face increased public charge scrutiny.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: A public charge is someone who depends on government assistance.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: Beginning September 18th,
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: immigration officers will consider all non-emergency Medicaid
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: and other social service programs,
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: including if it was used by a child or other relatives as part of
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: the screening process.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: So if an immigrant's child has Medicaid for insurance,
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: their green card could be denied even if they never used the program themselves,
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: which is absolute fucking bullshit.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: And also they tried to do this in Trump 1.0,
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: which is why when I was pregnant,
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: I didn't have Medicaid and I paid cash for everything.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Because I worried that it would impact my husband's green card.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: Now, before the Trump regime changed the rule, SNAP,
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: Section 8,
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: and Medicaid,
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: except for long-term care,
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: were not used as a determining factor and officials had strict guidelines for when
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: to consider it.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: Now they have...
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: We have broad discretion and will include five other factors,
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: the applicant's age,
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: education,
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: health, skills, and family status related to their financial status and assets.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: This will lead to the family of immigrants going without That means more people
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: and specifically children will go hungry.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: They will go, they'll get sick, right?
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: They won't apply for these services.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: They'll just be underfed.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: They'll be getting less health care.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: And that's the point.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: That's why they're doing this.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: And true Republican family values.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: Republicans will tell you this is to prevent fraud and abuse and to stop people
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: from coming here and leeching from the system.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: They're protecting America.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: What a fucking lie.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: We are literally spending billions of fucking dollars
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: on Trump's stupid fucking vanity projects.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: We're wasting,
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: we talked about this last week,
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: we're wasting billions of dollars to redesign aircraft carriers and Why?
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: Because Trump is old and dying and he wants to relive his youth.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: Anyone who says he changes to immigration policy is about saving money is full of fuckers.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: Immigrants contribute hundreds of billions of dollars in underpaid labor and taxes
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: to the economy.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: They do the jobs real Americans won't do,
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: and they commit far less crime than
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: the mediocre racist white men always constantly screaming to get rid of them.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: This is and has always been about white nationalism and cruelty,
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: and these people can go fuck themselves.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Hard.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Hard.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: So remember last week we told you about how the new leader of America's Gestapo,
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: Mark Wayne Mullen,
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: has pissed off both Trump and Magellan by removing the performative cruelty of
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: the regime's ethnic cleansing, even as he was ramping up.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: That's
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: almost
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: double what we saw back in February when Greg Bovino
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: and Kristi Noem were openly terrorizing the country.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: And this is what we met when we said Mullen was pursuing
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: the white nationalist agenda, but he was doing it without being loud and stupid.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: You'd think that this would make Magaland happy,
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: but they don't just want people that they hate removed.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: They want it to be loud and scary and cruel because the cruelty is the fucking point.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: And if the immigrants aren't being terrorized for their entertainment, why even bother?
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Remember this going forward.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Republicans are not just racist.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: They're fucking monsters who get off on pain and suffering and they can't be saved.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: They're lost forever because they want to be like this.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: Fuck them all.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: No one's making them do this.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: Fuck them all.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: The Trump regime is reportedly continuing its crusade to put his name
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: on fucking everything,
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: even if that means disparaging the memory of a real American hero.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: According to a CNN exclusive, the Navy intends to rename the Billions of dollars.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Billions.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: I just can't even.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: The Navy isn't revealing why it's renaming the carrier.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Racism!
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: Racism!
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: They're like, oh, we're going to name another ship after him.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: And also, you know, we'll put him up for a Medal of Honor.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: They won't.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: But, surprise, surprise, there are now talks about putting Trump's name on the fucking carrier.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: So taking the Pearl Harbor hero off and naming it the USS Trump.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: And just as a fucking reminder,
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: we typically do not, well, we never name carriers after sitting U.S. presidents.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: And very rarely when they're alive.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: Have they ever done it when
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: one's alive?
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: I think they did it one time that I remember.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: I'll have to go back and look.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: You remember Trump, right?
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: He has never served in the military.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: Excuse me.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: Excuse me.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: He was in military school and that was just as bad as being in the military as far
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: as he's concerned.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: It's just that he served in military school.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, definitely the same thing.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: Yep, definitely.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: But he's the rich guy whose daddy saved him from going to Vietnam by paying off
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: a doctor to say that he had fucking bone spurs in his feet.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: And I cannot tell you how much this pisses me off.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: I want to see those x-rays.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: You'll never see those x-rays.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: Funny.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: So fuck him and fuck the Navy brass who are approving this,
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: which it's probably not the Navy brass.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: It's probably the guy who can't do a pull-up.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: Speaking of naming things after himself,
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: Trump is also wondering out loud if he's going to rename Lake Ontario Lake America
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: because Canada told him to go fuck himself.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: But we all know that he really, really wants to call it Lake Trump.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: Just as a reminder,
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: I talked about this before the show,
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: but Lake Ontario was named Lake Ontario
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: before Ontario Canada was named Ontario Canada.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: So it's not even Canada that named it Lake Ontario.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: It's just been Lake Ontario for forever.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: But whatever.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: Here's one to keep an eye on.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: We talked about data centers last week and how the Magomoron Well,
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: we're going to see what wins out, populist anger or slavish devotion.
- 32:05SPEAKER_01: Axios reporting that during an interview with Michael Cohen, yes,
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: that Michael Cohen,
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: the same guy that a whole lot of people here on Substack got real cozy with
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: because he told them what they wanted to hear.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: But we're not going to talk about that right now.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: Can I just say, like, why do we keep doing this?
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's mostly bullshit.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: Some of these data centers are building power centers,
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: but power plants, but there's nothing special about them.
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: Trump is a fucking five-year-old who's amazed by colorful balloons.
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: But the dementia patient also said,
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: communities that don't take a data center,
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: they're making a mistake because data centers create tremendous jobs,
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: amounts of jobs and money.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: So anyway, Trump siding with the billionaire.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: Trump's grip on his moron mob, or their rage at the rich people destroying their lives.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: Because there's no blaming trans kids or immigrants for the damage AI is doing.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: What's going to happen here?
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: We're going to find out.
- 33:44SPEAKER_01: And I would not want to be the smug billionaires ruining the lives of millions
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: of heavily armed and angry MAGA.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: Because,
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: like we've mentioned before,
- 33:53SPEAKER_01: all the money in the world will not protect you from a bullet
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: if enough people are trying to kill you.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and just as an aside here,
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: when they build these power plants, guess whose land they take to build them?
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: Poor people.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: Yes, they take poor people's land.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Or just middle-class families who have owned their
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: houses for years.
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, by the way, I just saw it this morning.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: People have been complaining all over the country, right?
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: They go to their local councils and they go to the local government and they say,
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: do not fucking build this.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times it's been working, right?
- 34:28SPEAKER_01: So the EPA is now scrapping the rules where they have to report
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: that data centers are being built.
- 34:39SPEAKER_01: They could just start building them without having to go through any kind
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: of zoning process or any kind of environmental...
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: Studies.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: Study process.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: Which is really crazy because that means that they could build data centers
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: on places where endangered animals live.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: They're trying to do this so the public doesn't have any input,
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: which means they won't know until it's already happening.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: Which, of course, that's the point, right?
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Because there's been so much public resistance from both sides of the aisle.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: This is not just liberals and those pesky environmentalists.
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: This is also red states and red cities going, we don't want this shit here.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: It doesn't.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: It's going to suck up all of our electricity, make our power bills go through the roof.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: It's going to suck up all of our fresh water, which means we won't have any fucking fresh water.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: Yes, technically it's environmental,
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: but if you're a Republican,
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: you You still want to drink water and you're aware of that and you know that
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: a data center is going to suck up all of the fucking water in your community.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: You don't want that.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: So, yes, they want to stop these things.
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: It doesn't matter if...
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: They know these things are really bad for their direct community.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: It's very much NIMBY.
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: And now the regime is stepping in to make sure that even their own voters don't get
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: a say in whether or not these things show up and destroy their local communities.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: So that's going to go over really, really well with their own voters.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: Can't wait.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: Well, speaking of data centers, Ron DeSantis' time as Florida governor is coming to an end.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: And whack job Byron Donald just won the GOP primary to replace him.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: He's not going to be nearly as effective.
- 36:27SPEAKER_01: And he's black in a state that's super fucking racist.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: So I don't think he's going to be nearly as effective as a tyrant as Ron DeSantis was.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: So good luck, Florida.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm very excited about this.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: The Congressman appeared on CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday,
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: and with his full chest,
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: he blamed, quote,
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: rampant illegal immigration for the measles outbreak in the U.S.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: Wow, where have you heard that before?
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: This is exactly what we've been saying that they would do the whole time.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: But that completely contradicts the CDC data,
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: which has found that only 16 of the 2,800 cases have been
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: from international visitors.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: The number of cases from other countries represents six thousandths of a percent,
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: or 0.006%, minuscule.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Donald's claim that immigrants who come to America don't receive vaccines,
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: and then in the same interview said that he wouldn't mandate vaccines
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: for Florida children.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: Make it make fucking sense.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: So he wants us to be a third-world country.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you can't make it make sense because we live in the stupidest fucking timeline.
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: So does anyone remember Ed Martin?
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: Probably not.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: Trump announced that he's leaving the DOJ, but don't get too excited.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: He's moving on to do legal work related to the elections.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: And we're assuming that means he's going to be the next Rudy Giuliani.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: So I don't know, maybe we should get excited.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: Trump really is the fucking moron we all knew he was all along.
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: The Wall Street Journal is reporting that in the day's
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: Trump asked our military if this was a good idea.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: We originally thought that since Pete Hexas had fired everyone,
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: that he was being told by a That this was a great idea, gung-ho, bomb, bomb, bomb.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: Apparently, that is not what happened.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: The military told him repeatedly and in writing that this would be
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: a fucking disaster, that Iran would not.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: And then Trump said,
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: Fuck it!
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: We're doing it anyway because he had visions of an easy,
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: made-for-TV war dancing in his dementia-riddled brain.
- 39:15SPEAKER_01: This should be the top fucking story,
- 39:19SPEAKER_01: but it's going to disappear within 48 hours because the lady...
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: Legacy press never hold Trump accountable for any fucking thing he does,
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: not even getting American troops killed.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, they spent weeks and weeks and weeks screaming about Joe Biden in Afghanistan.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: And what a disaster that was, even though it wasn't his fucking disaster.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: We're in a fucking disastrous war right now because of Trump.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: And the press is just like, fuck it.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: How did this happen?
- 39:47SPEAKER_01: We don't really know.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: I mean, Trump might have known better, but did he really know?
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: Was he misled by the people around him?
- 39:53SPEAKER_01: It's like, actually, no.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: He was explicitly told this was going to happen,
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: and the buck stops with Trump, and they're I'm just going to move on about it.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: I personally am looking forward to the 2028 election in which the Iran War,
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: which will probably still be going on by then,
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: gets retconned into being the fault of both sides.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: I can't wait to hear how Democrats are going to be responsible for it by then.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: It's going to be absolutely fucking amazing to watch.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: Well, let's wrap up headlines with some good news.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: This is from USA Today.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: According to The Economist and YouGov,
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: more people disapprove than approve of Trump's job performance in 47 out
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: of 50 states and in the District of Columbia.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: The three states where the majority of respondents still approve of
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: the president are Wyoming, Idaho, and West Virginia.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: With numbers like those,
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: Trump is going to drag down the entire Republican Party into an electoral black hole
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: in November,
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: and no one will believe him when he says that it's all rigged and stolen,
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: no matter what Ed Martin does.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: So something to look forward to.
- 41:31SPEAKER_01: This hamburger is extra crunchy this week.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: Why am I bleeding?
- 41:37SPEAKER_01: Now, speaking of how poorly Republicans doing,
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: I wrote an article last week about how fucked they were in the Senate as Iowa
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: and Texas races shift from lean Republican to toss up.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: Who caught up to my some schmuck sitting at a keyboard analysis a week later?
- 41:59SPEAKER_01: The New York fucking Times.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: The Times is saying the example.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: The Republicans had been looking at Maine and Michigan and hoping to keep
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: at least one of them from flipping.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: With Plattner's fuck-up and the press going into a meltdown over El Saeed,
- 42:38SPEAKER_01: It was frantic prayers over at the GOP.
- 42:41SPEAKER_01: But then Iowa and Texas, Texas, are going badly for them.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: Democrats have multiple ways to take control of the Senate,
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: even if John Fetterman flips like we all know they plan on doing if Democrats have
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: a one-seat majority.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: So, ha-ha, fuck you, Republicans, ha.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: Yay.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: Well, on to self-care of the week.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: So guess what time it is?
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: Football is coming.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: The Buffalo Bills are doing so well in the preseason,
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: even though the preseason games don't count,
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: even a little bit, and mostly it's our second string, but it's okay.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: They're doing well.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: We love to see it, and it has made me happy.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: I am also helping my friend Pac.
- 43:26SPEAKER_00: She's moving to New York.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: I'm not very happy about that, but I'm happy for her.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: And teaching my son homeschool, and that's it.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: That's my self-care of the week.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: Actually, none of that is about me, but some weeks are like that.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: Isn't football always about you, though?
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: Oh, God, I'm so excited.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: I can't wait for the first game.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: Nine, I know that I'll be insufferable.
- 43:48SPEAKER_01: I sent you that TikTok.
- 43:50SPEAKER_01: When I saw that, I was like, oh, there it is.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: The football's back on.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: I know that I'm going to be insufferable.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: But the first game is September 13th or 15th.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, boy.
- 44:03SPEAKER_00: Come back to me, Josh Allen.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: So this is the last week before the kids go back to school.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: So we're working our way through Anastasia's summer bucket list,
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: which is why I haven't gotten any work done this week.
- 44:17SPEAKER_01: Mrs. Ogre's on vacation, and that means I've been very, very busy.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: We've The water park, a trampoline park.
- 44:24SPEAKER_01: We went for a bike ride in D.C. yesterday.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: We also did an escape room we've been wanting to do forever.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: It was fun.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: There was a dragon involved.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: Anastasia had a spa day with Mommy on Sunday.
- 44:35SPEAKER_01: This Next Thursday,
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: we're having the annual back to school sleepover,
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: which will have a scavenger hunt that I put together.
- 44:42SPEAKER_01: We're going to have karaoke, there's tie dye, et cetera, et cetera.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: I've been too busy to sink back into depression about Lila, which is being away.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: Which is good, I guess.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: I've wanted to go just crawl into bed, but I guess is better.
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: So it's still been really tough.
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: I still miss her.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: Fortunately, she's been texting every day and that helps a lot.
- 45:05SPEAKER_01: And we're going down to visit.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: Lila's settling in and she's very excited about her classes.
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: So that's calmed a huge amount of my anxiety.
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: Thank God.
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: We were on a video call with her last night.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:36SPEAKER_01: I didn't know where they were,
- 45:38SPEAKER_01: so I put her on a video call and I just walked around her room and she told me what
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: to grab.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: And then she was on,
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: I brought her over back to our apartment and she talked to Anastasia for like
- 45:49SPEAKER_01: an hour.
- 45:50SPEAKER_01: The two of them were just chatting the entire time.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: So it was really nice.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: It was nice.
- 45:54SPEAKER_01: I got to see her.
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: I got to talk to her for a while and it was great.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: And we're going to be down there Saturday,
- 45:59SPEAKER_01: but I'm still probably going to be a basket case until she gets to her midterms.
- 46:04SPEAKER_01: And I know that she's still going to her classes.
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: So, there's that.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that actually reminded me.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: I talked to my son for an hour and a half on the phone last night
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: because he also started classes and he's a senior.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: Yay.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: He's like, oh, I have senioritis, mom.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: All of his classes this semester are science classes,
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: high-level science classes, every single one of them.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: He's like, yeah, I'm taking biodiversity.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: And he's like, I don't really care about plants, but I guess I understand why they're important.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: Yes, plants are important.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, which is so funny because I love plants, but he doesn't care.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: That doesn't interest him.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: And then he said that he has a professor who,
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: he said the professor went around the class and everybody had
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: to introduce themselves.
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: He was like, Mom, there was 200 people in our class.
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: It took an hour.
- 47:21SPEAKER_00: Oh, my God.
- 47:22SPEAKER_00: And then he also introduced himself to the class by putting up his mug shots from
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: when he was a child.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: And Aiden was like, he wanted to say bro.
- 47:35SPEAKER_00: He goes, he didn't say bro, but I got the vibe.
- 47:37SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh, that's going to be fun.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: I guess he's a new professor.
- 47:42SPEAKER_00: So he's probably just like not knowing what to do the first day of class.
- 47:46SPEAKER_01: Well, Lila has a professor.
- 47:49SPEAKER_01: We're just going to call her like, you know, Miss Midlife Crisis because she's close to our age.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: Like she's like 50-ish.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: Not our age.
- 47:59SPEAKER_01: Well, you're midlife.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: You're middle age now.
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: But she's apparently,
- 48:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know,
- 48:05SPEAKER_01: we think she's going through a divorce or something where she just got divorced
- 48:07SPEAKER_01: because she wants her students to call.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: She's a doctor.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: She doesn't want her students to call her doctor or by her last name or miss this
- 48:15SPEAKER_01: or misses that.
- 48:17SPEAKER_01: She wants them to call her by her first name or because her last name is Fox.
- 48:21SPEAKER_01: So she doesn't want them to call her Dr. Fox.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: She wants them to call her Foxy.
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: And it's like.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: Whatever you want to do, lady.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: Maybe not.
- 48:30SPEAKER_01: If your students are like 18 or 19 and you're like 50, maybe not have them call you Foxy.
- 48:37SPEAKER_01: That's a bit odd, honey.
- 48:39SPEAKER_01: Maybe don't do that.
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: That's it for today's show.
