- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio it is Bachelor in Paradise time. This
- 0:08Speaker 1: is the almost nemest podcast with my beautiful co host Ashley.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Like Ken Eddie Ashley, it's going on, girl, Ben, I
- 0:17Speaker 1: don't like being called beautiful these days. I could go
- 0:19Speaker 1: on a whole tangent explain is it if? Does it
- 0:24Speaker 1: offend you? Because I know Jared thinks so and I
- 0:33Speaker 1: you are, yes, you know there's there's beauty Ashley, not
- 0:38Speaker 1: only in what you are going through, because you are
- 0:41Speaker 1: forming a child inside of you, so that in itself
- 0:43Speaker 1: is beautiful, then you're obviously a beautiful pregnant I don't
- 0:47Speaker 1: know if you're not muggy, Yes you're like you're yes
- 0:49Speaker 1: you are. You can't listen. This is this is what
- 0:52Speaker 1: annoys me. Okay, I feel attractive. I feel beautiful, not
- 0:59Speaker 1: in a conceited hopefully that doesn't come across conceited when
- 1:02Speaker 1: I'm not pregnant. Okay. And women glow right when they're
- 1:07Speaker 1: in love and they're feeling good inside and out. I
- 1:10Speaker 1: do not feel good side, good inside or out, So
- 1:14Speaker 1: therefore I am not glowing. And because there's this thing
- 1:18Speaker 1: there's this expectation that women are supposed to be thriving
- 1:22Speaker 1: when they're growing a kid. I'm actually very annoyed at
- 1:25Speaker 1: this glow term or this idea that people are supposed
- 1:30Speaker 1: to call women. He's just like they're supposed to call
- 1:33Speaker 1: women beautiful when they're carrying a child, because maybe some do,
- 1:37Speaker 1: because some certainly do, but I do not. And I
- 1:41Speaker 1: almost feel annoyed when people compliment me right now because
- 1:44Speaker 1: they're trying to be nice. They're trying to say, like,
- 1:48Speaker 1: oh my god, because what's happening inside you? Um, there's
- 1:52Speaker 1: like you're beautiful right now. I'm like, no, I'm I
- 1:55Speaker 1: know I'm most beautiful when I'm not like this, because
- 1:59Speaker 1: I feel better? Can I can I challenge you for
- 2:02Speaker 1: a second? Sure, But like I know that you're going
- 2:06Speaker 1: to say, like if you're gonna say this is a
- 2:08Speaker 1: physical thing versus like a spiritual thing, that's not correct
- 2:12Speaker 1: either because because because I'm talking about my insides, because
- 2:17Speaker 1: if I don't feel good on my insides, I don't
- 2:20Speaker 1: even care what I look like on the outside, that
- 2:23Speaker 1: glow is not real. Well, I'm not talking about the glow. No,
- 2:26Speaker 1: there's no such thing for me, and I want people
- 2:28Speaker 1: to be honest because actually I feel like people lie
- 2:31Speaker 1: because they're saying what they think they're gonna they're supposed
- 2:33Speaker 1: to say right now, and that's what annoys me. Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I don't feel any issue I have. I have told
- 2:40Speaker 1: you when I think you're being crazy, I've told you
- 2:43Speaker 1: when I think you're being overly emotional. I don't have
- 2:47Speaker 1: any problem being like Ashley. I actually think at some
- 2:50Speaker 1: point during this, at the very beginnings, like yeah, this
- 2:53Speaker 1: looks rough, Like yeah, but what if and this isn't
- 2:57Speaker 1: a physical verse, like what if there's beauty in the struggle?
- 3:00Speaker 1: Like what if? What if? What if the whole idea
- 3:04Speaker 1: that like, you are a human who desires to feel great,
- 3:08Speaker 1: but yet are is attempting to go through like is
- 3:12Speaker 1: going through a really difficult hard season where you probably
- 3:15Speaker 1: at some point in your life, we're expecting that this
- 3:17Speaker 1: pregnancy thing would be that glow. I knew it wouldn't
- 3:21Speaker 1: be for me, I'll be honest, But what if there's
- 3:24Speaker 1: beauty in the struggle of it? Like what if they
- 3:26Speaker 1: believe in that? Okay, So, like when I sit here
- 3:29Speaker 1: on this side looking at you, going you know what,
- 3:33Speaker 1: you still show up every week, Like there's beauty in that,
- 3:37Speaker 1: Like there's beauty and the fact that like you are
- 3:40Speaker 1: consistently sick, that there's no hiding it, that you haven't
- 3:43Speaker 1: tried to hide it, that you don't feel awesome, yet
- 3:46Speaker 1: you still show up, you still talk about this crazy
- 3:49Speaker 1: experience that we're watching on television. You still sit here
- 3:52Speaker 1: and you're kind to me, and I've seen you be
- 3:56Speaker 1: fairly kind to Jared Um Like what if there is
- 4:00Speaker 1: beauty and that I totally agree with that, But that
- 4:03Speaker 1: does not mean that I'm like I'm I believe in
- 4:06Speaker 1: beauty of the struggle. It does not mean that I
- 4:10Speaker 1: I think, like in the classic sense of the word,
- 4:13Speaker 1: that is just not what I'm feeling right now. And
- 4:15Speaker 1: I think there's a lot of expectation on people, like
- 4:19Speaker 1: there's like a warped thing. I think it's all about
- 4:22Speaker 1: like this annoyance that I have about people not being
- 4:25Speaker 1: always honest about the struggles of pregnancy. That really hits
- 4:29Speaker 1: me when it comes to like saying that like I'm
- 4:32Speaker 1: glowing or and beautiful right now, because it's like just
- 4:35Speaker 1: that is not like how I feel in my soul.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And I think it's really annoying that there's like this
- 4:39Speaker 1: expectation that people either need to say it or feel it,
- 4:43Speaker 1: because I think it's fine to not feel it and
- 4:47Speaker 1: to not and to like not get to that like
- 4:51Speaker 1: glowy happy place until the baby is here or maybe
- 4:55Speaker 1: maybe that won't even happen then yet. But but but
- 4:57Speaker 1: I totally appreciate you saying what you say because I
- 5:00Speaker 1: do agree with their being like a strength to it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But I think that's a better word, so what would be?
- 5:07Speaker 1: But I'm so sorry to unload on you. I was
- 5:09Speaker 1: just thinking about this earlier. I'm glad you did. I'd
- 5:12Speaker 1: ever said you're glowing, Like you're definitely not glowing, thank you. Yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 1: well you're not, but there I do find it. Like
- 5:22Speaker 1: I was just telling Justice the other day, like and
- 5:24Speaker 1: and then Becka Koufern had reached out to me and
- 5:26Speaker 1: she's like, how is Ashley doing. I was like, I
- 5:28Speaker 1: think I could read my exact Texas said she's having
- 5:30Speaker 1: a really hard time with pregnancy, but she's a trooper.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And like for me, like that is really like the
- 5:39Speaker 1: only thing I would put on you, Like I'm not
- 5:41Speaker 1: going to expect you to show up here and be
- 5:43Speaker 1: the beautiful ash like an Eddie that like stuns the
- 5:45Speaker 1: world with your like outward appearance. In fact, I actually
- 5:49Speaker 1: have news for you that won't last forever anyways, like
- 5:53Speaker 1: like that's gonna go. But like at all points in life,
- 5:56Speaker 1: we can celebrate the fact that like you're still showing
- 5:58Speaker 1: up and like it's beautiful and thank you. That should
- 6:02Speaker 1: be celebrated, that should be talked about. I would hate
- 6:05Speaker 1: it if in your like moments here where you're like
- 6:07Speaker 1: I don't feel this way, if people stopped telling you
- 6:11Speaker 1: how awesome you are and how much you're seen in
- 6:15Speaker 1: your struggle to still be here or be wherever you're at,
- 6:18Speaker 1: because you haven't stopped working, like, in fact, your life
- 6:22Speaker 1: is probably busier than ever, yet at the same time
- 6:24Speaker 1: you're taking like ten minutes potty breaks that don't require
- 6:30Speaker 1: you to use anything. But like, um, I appreciate you
- 6:36Speaker 1: saying that. Um. I definitely. Actually that's like another guilt
- 6:40Speaker 1: thing that I have. I definitely have not worked hard
- 6:43Speaker 1: the past two months and as somebody like that's like
- 6:48Speaker 1: also something that I think it was Jade who was
- 6:51Speaker 1: telling me about it. I'm not sure, but it's like
- 6:53Speaker 1: we put so much value, like of our worth into
- 6:58Speaker 1: like how much we're like accomplishing in money that we're making,
- 7:01Speaker 1: and like just like effort that we're putting over the
- 7:03Speaker 1: computer and just like how many hours are you like
- 7:07Speaker 1: racking up each day, Like what's your time stamp, you
- 7:10Speaker 1: know on your little like work card. And that's how
- 7:13Speaker 1: we value ourselves so much, and that can be so wrong,
- 7:16Speaker 1: especially now when like you do I do. I'm like
- 7:18Speaker 1: I'm creating a human and like that is a pretty
- 7:21Speaker 1: tough job as it is, so that yeah, I like that,
- 7:25Speaker 1: you know. A few weeks ago, actually like I had
- 7:28Speaker 1: that breakdown myself. You knew about this, Like I'm I'm
- 7:31Speaker 1: less active than ever um or at least in the
- 7:35Speaker 1: last five years. Like I'm less busy, there's less things
- 7:37Speaker 1: on my calendars, there's less things, and like it was
- 7:40Speaker 1: a it was and that was kind of the whole
- 7:42Speaker 1: headline that came out, like I was having a breakdown.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I still don't feel like I was having a breakdown
- 7:47Speaker 1: as much as I was having a breakthrough to where
- 7:49Speaker 1: I was like divorcing from the identity of Hey, this
- 7:53Speaker 1: is what I do for living, this is how I work,
- 7:55Speaker 1: this is how much time I put into it. Two
- 7:57Speaker 1: more of the hey, like life's looking different out and
- 8:00Speaker 1: how do I accept that or how do I move
- 8:02Speaker 1: into this season? And so I think there is that
- 8:05Speaker 1: transition phase that you and I've always talked about. I
- 8:07Speaker 1: remember years ago on this podcast, we had a conversation
- 8:10Speaker 1: where you said something incredibly impactful to me. You said,
- 8:14Speaker 1: I'm worried that once I like sometimes when I close
- 8:16Speaker 1: my eyes, I'm worried that when I open them back up,
- 8:18Speaker 1: there won't be an email about this new job or
- 8:21Speaker 1: this new opportunity. Like it scares me. And it scared
- 8:24Speaker 1: me too, I just wasn't ready to admit it. And
- 8:27Speaker 1: now I feel like I'm feeling it and you maybe too.
- 8:31Speaker 1: But like it's good at a lot of levels. It's healthy,
- 8:34Speaker 1: it's a switch, it's still it's still there's still a
- 8:37Speaker 1: lot of like joy in it. It's just different, yeah, totally.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I mean I think like you end up one thousand
- 8:44Speaker 1: percent of finding a place to put that energy, and
- 8:47Speaker 1: that time is gonna get filled before you know it.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I think there's there's always those lulls that you're like,
- 8:51Speaker 1: oh my own, what am I doing? Especially like you
- 8:54Speaker 1: work for yourself. For me, it's it's definitely just been
- 8:57Speaker 1: like a I've been doing the bear Men well, Like
- 9:00Speaker 1: people like will email me and I'll just be like, oh,
- 9:02Speaker 1: if it's not urging, I'm just not getting back to
- 9:04Speaker 1: them until like, you know, this magical day that I
- 9:06Speaker 1: wake up and I feel better. Maybe we should talk
- 9:08Speaker 1: about this more in the podcast in the next couple
- 9:10Speaker 1: of months, Like maybe we should uh dive into this
- 9:14Speaker 1: with not only you and I, but with others, because
- 9:16Speaker 1: I think a lot of people right now transitioning out
- 9:18Speaker 1: of a whole season where the world was affected into
- 9:21Speaker 1: this new season where their eyes are open, and maybe
- 9:23Speaker 1: they're working from home and maybe they found new efficiencias
- 9:26Speaker 1: in life or maybe things got pulled away from that
- 9:28Speaker 1: they never expected. It feels like maybe a conversation that
- 9:31Speaker 1: a lot of us could relate to, and it would
- 9:34Speaker 1: be really interesting to hear it from that world. Like
- 9:36Speaker 1: you just said that people that work for themselves, Um,
- 9:39Speaker 1: you know I another day. Actually you'll laugh at this
- 9:42Speaker 1: because it just drives you crazy too. But I had somebody,
- 9:45Speaker 1: uh randomly at a conference I was at, go, you know,
- 9:48Speaker 1: how is it to be on like the show and
- 9:50Speaker 1: then walk out of it and have all this money
- 9:52Speaker 1: and all this fame and I'm like time out one.
- 9:56Speaker 1: The fame is very fleeting to let's not think we
- 9:59Speaker 1: have all this money, like it just doesn't happen that way.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It's not you don't go on the Bachelor to come
- 10:06Speaker 1: off and have this like secure life where you're like,
- 10:09Speaker 1: I'll never have to make money like you. It's a
- 10:11Speaker 1: grind and it's not given. And anybody that thinks that
- 10:14Speaker 1: you make a lot of money doing this show, let
- 10:16Speaker 1: me tell you now, Like contractually I can't tell you
- 10:19Speaker 1: how much we make, but let me tell you it
- 10:21Speaker 1: is definitely not enough to stop on. Nor is it
- 10:24Speaker 1: even enough to take a break on. Yes, you definitely
- 10:29Speaker 1: like taking a break is so scary whenever, like I
- 10:33Speaker 1: feel like just seeing saying no to one opportunity or
- 10:37Speaker 1: another because it seems inconvenient at the moment. You're like, oh,
- 10:40Speaker 1: but that could be the last one, or if like
- 10:42Speaker 1: that could start a trend, or then somebody can tell
- 10:44Speaker 1: somebody something else. I will tell you that anybody who
- 10:47Speaker 1: does have money because of the notoriety that they got
- 10:51Speaker 1: from the show has worked, has worked to keep that
- 10:54Speaker 1: money and to stay relevant, and that is you know,
- 10:58Speaker 1: a big frustration. I think for a lot of us
- 11:00Speaker 1: who just like get those comments every now and then
- 11:03Speaker 1: that are like, do you have a real job? What
- 11:04Speaker 1: do you do for work? I'm like, if I didn't
- 11:08Speaker 1: have a job, I wouldn't be like at all remembered
- 11:15Speaker 1: from this franchise right now? Do you know what I mean? Now?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Look at the Rachel Lindsay is the world the use
- 11:20Speaker 1: the Jojo Fletchers. Caitlin like, Yeah, they've gotten like their
- 11:24Speaker 1: lives are a lot looking a lot different now, but
- 11:27Speaker 1: it's also taking a lot of time, a lot of
- 11:28Speaker 1: time away from family well um, and also it kind
- 11:31Speaker 1: of transitions in the Bachelor Paradise. Bachelor Paradise is not
- 11:35Speaker 1: one that you go on to to make money, but
- 11:37Speaker 1: it is an experience that brings a lot of memory
- 11:42Speaker 1: stories and there's always a following that comes from it.
- 11:44Speaker 1: This year's Bachelor and Paradise, I believe Ashley is one
- 11:48Speaker 1: that some great love stories are being formed already, someone
- 11:50Speaker 1: that will remember and talk about for years to come,
- 11:53Speaker 1: like the You and Jared's and like the Jaden Tanners.
- 11:56Speaker 1: There's some great couples forming. We're gonna talk about it
- 11:59Speaker 1: here on this part Guest today, we're gonna have tin
- 12:01Speaker 1: Ley on to help break it down with us. It's
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm just quick thoughts. I'm enjoying this season. It's there's
- 12:09Speaker 1: some slow parts. I would say an episode two, there
- 12:11Speaker 1: are some definitely slow parts. I was like, okay, can
- 12:13Speaker 1: we pick this up a bit. I don't know what's
- 12:15Speaker 1: going on. I pressed pause a few more times. It
- 12:18Speaker 1: was very engrossed the first episode. This this episode, I
- 12:21Speaker 1: was like, okay, I can break a tay break. I
- 12:23Speaker 1: can take a break. But it's it's good, it's healthy.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It's there's some like cool stuff happening. Um. I actually
- 12:31Speaker 1: for the first time ever, and we'll move on here
- 12:34Speaker 1: in the second I'm seeing the gaming side of this
- 12:37Speaker 1: more than ever, like the uh, like people strategizing and
- 12:40Speaker 1: game planning this season more than ever. I used to
- 12:42Speaker 1: kind of be like, I'll see if anybody Uh. There's
- 12:46Speaker 1: always been the hey, let me go talk to somebody,
- 12:47Speaker 1: see if I can get a rose next week idea,
- 12:49Speaker 1: but like there was more like strategy right now going on.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Then I've then I've remembered, especially this early on in
- 12:55Speaker 1: the in the season. HM, maybe let's get into it
- 13:00Speaker 1: with Tinley. We'll catch up on her life and then
- 13:02Speaker 1: we will recap the episode with her. She was on
- 13:04Speaker 1: my season A Bachelor in Paradise too. She had a
- 13:07Speaker 1: pretty strong relationship down there, but of course that was
- 13:10Speaker 1: a very long time ago and both have moved on,
- 13:12Speaker 1: had babies and marriages. Um, but we will do that
- 13:16Speaker 1: right after the break. Well, one of our favorite guests
- 13:30Speaker 1: as always somebody that brightens up life in the world. Uh,
- 13:33Speaker 1: somebody that's a perfect guest, I feel like for today, um,
- 13:37Speaker 1: just for her honesty and her encouragement to all of us.
- 13:40Speaker 1: But Tinley, you're here not only to break down Bachelor Paradise,
- 13:43Speaker 1: but to talk about all the cool things going on
- 13:45Speaker 1: in your life, which is many. Hello Tinley, Hi guys,
- 13:49Speaker 1: thanks for having me. Hi Tinley. Of course we love
- 13:53Speaker 1: having you here. Um. It is your baby girl, Rel's
- 13:57Speaker 1: first birthday next month. I can't believe it's been a year.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure you really can't believe it's been here.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I really can't. I really can't. I'm like getting very
- 14:08Speaker 1: very emotional, but I feel like I've been emotional the
- 14:10Speaker 1: whole time, like with with every month that's passed by.
- 14:13Speaker 1: So well, okay, so one thing that everyone has been
- 14:18Speaker 1: telling me, of course, and like of course I know it,
- 14:20Speaker 1: but it's like funny because you just don't know the
- 14:23Speaker 1: first time. Um, you know this is what this is
- 14:27Speaker 1: what people say. They go, I know you're feeling awful now,
- 14:31Speaker 1: but it's gonna all be worth it. And it's like,
- 14:34Speaker 1: of course, fundamentally, I know it's all gonna be worth it,
- 14:38Speaker 1: but like it's so hard to hear right now because
- 14:40Speaker 1: as a first time mom, you don't even know what
- 14:43Speaker 1: it feels like to feel that love when you finally
- 14:46Speaker 1: get to meet the baby, So like, can you do
- 14:48Speaker 1: your very best to describe what that feeling of love is?
- 14:52Speaker 1: I heard and I heard one person say, if you
- 14:55Speaker 1: realize that your heart has an attic and you never
- 14:58Speaker 1: realized it before, oh I love that cute. I think that.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I was like, wow, that really makes sense to me. Yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 1: And I feel like for those of us like you
- 15:08Speaker 1: and me who love like like kind of like that
- 15:11Speaker 1: romancing of something like an idea of whatever it, that
- 15:15Speaker 1: definitely can find a spot in your heart to um
- 15:18Speaker 1: capacity like try to find the capassity for that love.
- 15:21Speaker 1: But yeah, it's so hard to explain. And and something
- 15:24Speaker 1: I was gonna say is it's so worth it. But
- 15:28Speaker 1: because I don't know if you remember, I was absolutely
- 15:31Speaker 1: miserable through my pregnancy. I didn't sleep. I didn't not
- 15:35Speaker 1: know this. Oh my god, wait, now I've now. I
- 15:38Speaker 1: had a flashback of me recording an early pandemic episode
- 15:42Speaker 1: in my closet, and you had just gone out of
- 15:45Speaker 1: your first try muster and you said, yeah, yeah, wow,
- 15:49Speaker 1: that's an incredible memory. But I couldn't stand. I couldn't sleep,
- 15:53Speaker 1: I couldn't sit, I couldn't like I didn't get to
- 15:55Speaker 1: do any of the nesting things or I feel like
- 15:59Speaker 1: but but there were so in parts of um. Well,
- 16:02Speaker 1: what I was saying is like I was miserable. It
- 16:04Speaker 1: was painful. I wasn't sick like you. My heart goes
- 16:07Speaker 1: out to you actually like it is there, but it
- 16:10Speaker 1: is getting better. I don't want to say that I'm
- 16:13Speaker 1: like sitting here miserable. It's certainly not easy, but now
- 16:16Speaker 1: I'm having good days and bad days, and thanks to
- 16:19Speaker 1: so Fran, I can be functional. But I look back
- 16:22Speaker 1: on that like week five through week twelve, and I
- 16:26Speaker 1: was like, oh my gosh, was that your bad period too? Know?
- 16:30Speaker 1: My mine hit like week uh fourteen through the end.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And then But but again I wasn't sick. I just
- 16:38Speaker 1: but I wasn't sleeping. And so anyways, my point in
- 16:41Speaker 1: saying this, and I think that it's okay and awesome
- 16:43Speaker 1: for you to be talking about it, but my point
- 16:45Speaker 1: in saying this is I was going to repeat what
- 16:47Speaker 1: everybody else has told you, like it is so worth it.
- 16:50Speaker 1: In the end, when you're holding that baby, you will
- 16:53Speaker 1: you will know a love and understand a love like
- 16:56Speaker 1: no other. And I really really don't know how to
- 16:58Speaker 1: explain it to you. Is motherhood. And this love has
- 17:03Speaker 1: surprised me and taken me for like a complete turn
- 17:06Speaker 1: of like for who I am and trying to even
- 17:09Speaker 1: understand who I am. And my mind is blown by
- 17:13Speaker 1: this love that I have for this little human. And
- 17:15Speaker 1: Taylor and I just we gush about her all day
- 17:18Speaker 1: long and all night long, um even when she she
- 17:21Speaker 1: had a really bad night last night. For the most
- 17:23Speaker 1: part she sleeps, but she's finally teething, and we just
- 17:27Speaker 1: were like, she's so good. Who wants to go holder?
- 17:30Speaker 1: So I'm just, you know, hanging there. I don't know
- 17:33Speaker 1: how to I don't know how to say anything else
- 17:35Speaker 1: that nobody else has said. I haven't been able to
- 17:38Speaker 1: find the words. I'm still I'm still searching for them
- 17:41Speaker 1: because as we come up on a year of her life,
- 17:45Speaker 1: I am my my mind is still trying to like
- 17:49Speaker 1: grasp everything that my heart feels. But I like what
- 17:52Speaker 1: somebody that that that's saying that somebody said to you
- 17:55Speaker 1: that that's so cute. Um, that is that's funny because
- 18:00Speaker 1: Shared and I talk about our dog like this, and
- 18:02Speaker 1: people are like, if you think that you're like this
- 18:05Speaker 1: with your dog, like wait till you have the baby.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And like, I'm actually scared at how obsessed we could
- 18:11Speaker 1: possibly be because like whenever Jared and I are like
- 18:14Speaker 1: out together, we talk about the dog and how obsessed
- 18:18Speaker 1: we are with her and how much we miss her,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and like we're like think about her belly and think
- 18:21Speaker 1: about her feet seas, and like we do like all
- 18:24Speaker 1: these things, and it's like we're gonna be so smothering.
- 18:28Speaker 1: It's gonna be crazy. Oh it's it's just wait for it.
- 18:31Speaker 1: It's gonna be so good. Your heart's gonna grow billion
- 18:34Speaker 1: sizes And it's it's true what they say about like
- 18:37Speaker 1: it feels like you're there's a piece of you running
- 18:41Speaker 1: around in the world on the outside and it's just
- 18:43Speaker 1: so wild, like it's I again can't find the words,
- 18:48Speaker 1: but you guys are in for the best best season
- 18:52Speaker 1: of your lives. There's gonna be moments that it's so
- 18:54Speaker 1: hard and um, but it's it's so beautiful. So hanging
- 18:58Speaker 1: there with where you're at right now because you're doing
- 19:02Speaker 1: great that you're talking about all the things though, thank you.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I appreciate that. One of the things you just said,
- 19:09Speaker 1: I'm super interested in before we dive into um Bachelor
- 19:13Speaker 1: in Paradise. But you know, you watch what you know
- 19:15Speaker 1: you're into, which I know you've participated in. So we've
- 19:17Speaker 1: we've going to break down the whole episode with you
- 19:19Speaker 1: because you're somebody I think we'll have a really fun
- 19:21Speaker 1: perspective for us. You mentioned that you're learning a lot
- 19:24Speaker 1: about yourself during this last eleven months to twenty months. Uh,
- 19:29Speaker 1: you know even before, What are some of the things
- 19:31Speaker 1: you've learned about yourself personally? Well, I just didn't know
- 19:35Speaker 1: that I was gonna. I had always imagined that the
- 19:38Speaker 1: moment that i'd have this baby come into the world.
- 19:40Speaker 1: This is one thing, Um, I just thought that. And
- 19:44Speaker 1: it's okay if you are either of you are this
- 19:47Speaker 1: way when you have children in your arms. But like,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I've been so surprised that since Rrell came into my world,
- 19:53Speaker 1: I haven't wanted to really be without her. I actually
- 19:57Speaker 1: had to anxiousness over that. And so it's definitely been
- 20:00Speaker 1: a good test in my faith and trust in God
- 20:03Speaker 1: in just having this little human on the outside in
- 20:05Speaker 1: this world and um, being able to surrender, surrender those
- 20:10Speaker 1: feelings and emotions. Um. But I thought that I was
- 20:14Speaker 1: gonna be like back off to my workout workout classes,
- 20:18Speaker 1: like dropping her off at Grandma's all the time, and
- 20:20Speaker 1: we're not quite there and and that's okay, but and
- 20:23Speaker 1: everybody's um a little different. So I've learned that I'm
- 20:28Speaker 1: obsessed and I've learned that I've been learning a lot
- 20:33Speaker 1: about surrendering and um just there's lots of growing pains
- 20:39Speaker 1: in that side, on the emotional side of things. Um
- 20:44Speaker 1: uh yeah, it just changes changes you. I I see
- 20:48Speaker 1: myself going, wow, I am so grateful for all of
- 20:51Speaker 1: those selfish years I got to have, like even participating
- 20:55Speaker 1: in all the Bachelor's stuff and um getting to do
- 20:58Speaker 1: all the travel stuff. Like, Um, I remember once thinking, man,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I wish I had babies when I was in my
- 21:04Speaker 1: early twenties. Man, I'm so behind, but I am so
- 21:08Speaker 1: grateful for all those selfish years. I hope that's not
- 21:11Speaker 1: coming off in the wrong way, but I thought's really
- 21:13Speaker 1: just like grow in in my life and in those seasons,
- 21:18Speaker 1: and it took so much from that that now I
- 21:20Speaker 1: am able to be in a different place and a present,
- 21:23Speaker 1: different kind of presence with real and Taylor in my
- 21:27Speaker 1: life right now. So UM, that's kind of a little
- 21:29Speaker 1: bit around the um, the little webs of what I've
- 21:34Speaker 1: been learning. Beautiful. It is, um, and it's beautiful because
- 21:41Speaker 1: I mean, we got to speak with you right after UM,
- 21:44Speaker 1: I don't know how to be like two months in
- 21:46Speaker 1: um and uh. Now we sit here. E loved months
- 21:49Speaker 1: in uh and uh. She had to get pulled from
- 21:53Speaker 1: your arms for this podcast, which is uh, which is great.
- 21:57Speaker 1: She was sitting on your lap when we first started
- 21:59Speaker 1: the podcast us and now she's in a different room,
- 22:02Speaker 1: been loud and uh. Yeah, I hope we have a
- 22:06Speaker 1: lot to say about this upcoming episode of Bachelor in Paradise.
- 22:10Speaker 1: But before we do, let's take a break. We come back,
- 22:12Speaker 1: We're to catch up a little bit more with Tinley
- 22:13Speaker 1: and then we're gonna dive in to this week's episode
- 22:16Speaker 1: of Bachelor in Paradise. Finally. UM, I'm sure everybody's asking
- 22:30Speaker 1: you this, and it's probably annoying and it's like, you know,
- 22:32Speaker 1: borderline rude sometimes. Um, but if you could, um, do
- 22:37Speaker 1: you imagine yourself with more kids in the future. What's
- 22:40Speaker 1: amazing is Yes, I talked to you about my pregnancy
- 22:43Speaker 1: and how hard it was, and during that time I
- 22:45Speaker 1: was like, well, let's make this count, you know, like
- 22:47Speaker 1: I don't know that I could do this again, but
- 22:49Speaker 1: that's kind of the right thing is I feel like, um,
- 22:53Speaker 1: that whole that whole experience has been redeemed like in
- 22:57Speaker 1: a in a sense, like I look at pictures of
- 22:59Speaker 1: myself being pregnant and going that was kind of magical,
- 23:01Speaker 1: and then I'm like, oh, but it was also really hard.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But yeah, if if we're able to roll with the
- 23:10Speaker 1: best little surprise ever, so if I've never really actually tried,
- 23:14Speaker 1: so we'll see, we'll see what when when that time
- 23:18Speaker 1: feels right, um, or if we end up with another surpriser,
- 23:21Speaker 1: if she's our only one. That's the other thing is
- 23:23Speaker 1: like I think that my heart has also been just
- 23:26Speaker 1: like loving and leaning into parenting her um as if
- 23:32Speaker 1: what if this is the only time I get to
- 23:33Speaker 1: do this, you just don't know um and being present
- 23:37Speaker 1: with her because what if I have impregnant again someday
- 23:40Speaker 1: and I'm in so much pain and that kind of
- 23:43Speaker 1: cuts into our time together. So I worry about that
- 23:46Speaker 1: all the time. It's just like I think that this
- 23:48Speaker 1: is difficult now, But I think about all the moms
- 23:50Speaker 1: who have kids running around and delia with. I don't
- 23:53Speaker 1: know how they do it. I know, I know they
- 23:56Speaker 1: are super humans and champs. And right now we're also
- 23:59Speaker 1: in a really cool season of like we just went
- 24:01Speaker 1: to Cabo with her and we had so much fun,
- 24:03Speaker 1: Like how would we do that with two kids? So
- 24:06Speaker 1: so we're not like rushing into its night answer, But
- 24:09Speaker 1: I'm totally not against it, and I I love to
- 24:13Speaker 1: share the part of like I just feel like that
- 24:15Speaker 1: the idea of it has been redeemed that I could
- 24:17Speaker 1: even be dreaming of the possibility of another baby someday
- 24:21Speaker 1: because pregnancy was hard. That makes me feel better that
- 24:25Speaker 1: you like even think like that, because like I currently
- 24:29Speaker 1: think about that, like how am I going to do
- 24:31Speaker 1: this again? But so many moms are like look, I
- 24:34Speaker 1: had hypermesias and I throw the entire nine months. Then
- 24:37Speaker 1: somehow I still wanted to do it again, and so
- 24:40Speaker 1: like it's great to hear, it's great. It's really quick.
- 24:42Speaker 1: My my sister in law, Taylor's sister, Um, she was
- 24:46Speaker 1: six six six six the whole time to both her pregnancies,
- 24:49Speaker 1: and she's still I know be Anyways, I feel bad
- 24:54Speaker 1: saying was, but she sometimes still talks about having a third.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I don't think that they will, So if this is
- 24:58Speaker 1: any like news to anybody, I'm not saying she's pregnant,
- 25:01Speaker 1: like she goes back and forth, and she was sick
- 25:03Speaker 1: both pregnancies and she still talks about it. So hanging there, yeah,
- 25:09Speaker 1: I know. Well I see Jad too. It's like Jad
- 25:11Speaker 1: like was super sick, like throughout sixteen weeks. You know,
- 25:14Speaker 1: I'm about to be sixteen weeks and she just just
- 25:16Speaker 1: so like thirty days where she like throughout eight times.
- 25:19Speaker 1: It's like I had a couple of those days and
- 25:20Speaker 1: it's just like and but here she is saying like
- 25:23Speaker 1: I would like it. Fourth, I'm like, you're a wild
- 25:25Speaker 1: woman anyway, beautiful crazy woman, yescent Um. And then I
- 25:33Speaker 1: want to ask you, like, are you doing anything beyond
- 25:35Speaker 1: like are you doing to stay at home mom thing?
- 25:37Speaker 1: And just like kind of relishing in that, is there
- 25:39Speaker 1: any business going on or anything outside that you want
- 25:43Speaker 1: to talk about? Thanks for asking. Right now, I'm still
- 25:46Speaker 1: taking a break from my nutrition and seeing my clients
- 25:50Speaker 1: and stuff because I am loving just being one on
- 25:54Speaker 1: one with all during the season. Um So thankfully just
- 25:58Speaker 1: being able to share are the story along the way
- 26:02Speaker 1: of of her growing and what I'm learning and what
- 26:04Speaker 1: we're learning and hopefully sharing some hope through all of that,
- 26:08Speaker 1: um because it's just one of my favorite things to do,
- 26:10Speaker 1: besides sharing nutrition in fact, like that, just sharing hope
- 26:14Speaker 1: with others in all seasons of life. So that's kind
- 26:17Speaker 1: of just where we're where we're still at when you're
- 26:20Speaker 1: staying home and watching Bachelor in Paradise. Absolutely and we
- 26:25Speaker 1: this is good. It's good stuff. Guys. I was going
- 26:27Speaker 1: to ask you, do you like this season so far?
- 26:29Speaker 1: I am so I was so ready for it. I
- 26:32Speaker 1: was kind of I've got to be I know, you
- 26:34Speaker 1: guys aren't going to expect this out of me because
- 26:36Speaker 1: I'm usually probably a little too PC, but I've been
- 26:39Speaker 1: kind of bored to the last Bachelor and Bachelorette, so
- 26:44Speaker 1: Bachelor in Paradise. I was so stoked that it actually
- 26:48Speaker 1: has little something and I feel like I don't know
- 26:52Speaker 1: very many people very well through it, so it's kind
- 26:55Speaker 1: of it's like watching something with a whole new lens.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Well before we dive into to it. Um, just off
- 27:03Speaker 1: the top of your head, because we're gonna break down
- 27:04Speaker 1: this week's episode. Who do you think we'll get engaged?
- 27:08Speaker 1: Do you think anybody? Do you think we'll see any
- 27:09Speaker 1: like love stories come from this? It will last? Um.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm thinking that Noah and Abigail are kind of being
- 27:18Speaker 1: painted in the background, like Jade and Tanner were not
- 27:21Speaker 1: painted in the background, but like they're they're like, you
- 27:24Speaker 1: know that there's something going on, but you're not seeing
- 27:26Speaker 1: a lot of them because they hit it off, and
- 27:29Speaker 1: I think that they had I'm assuming that they had
- 27:31Speaker 1: a foundation. Not Jane Tanner didn't, um, but like that
- 27:35Speaker 1: Noah and Abigail have a little bit of a foundation.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Kind of seems like that, so I'm guessing them. And UM,
- 27:42Speaker 1: I don't know that Ivan and just Sena that was
- 27:46Speaker 1: a really nice little match. So those are my I
- 27:51Speaker 1: don't know that I don't know. It's hard for me
- 27:53Speaker 1: to think of the actual reality of getting engaged, even
- 27:56Speaker 1: though I've been a part of these shows. Like now
- 27:59Speaker 1: it's kind of watching it going are these people ready
- 28:03Speaker 1: for that true commitment? Is how I'm really looking at it.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I think we might get a couple. I think, um,
- 28:11Speaker 1: all right, here we go. Let's dive into this week's
- 28:13Speaker 1: episode of Bachelor in Paradise. Ashley take us away. All right,
- 28:18Speaker 1: Let's start with Demi's arrival. She came in hot. She
- 28:23Speaker 1: it was just so forward with everyone, and like with Brendon,
- 28:29Speaker 1: she was just so outrighteous and um. Then when Brendan
- 28:34Speaker 1: told her during their day that he was like not
- 28:39Speaker 1: not down to like commit to this and then he
- 28:42Speaker 1: was still going to date around when she got her
- 28:45Speaker 1: ego bruise and she said quote like I just got
- 28:48Speaker 1: my ego bruise, it made me like her so much
- 28:53Speaker 1: more in this environment, Like it was exactly what she needed.
- 28:57Speaker 1: She needed that humbling moment, and then all of a sudden,
- 28:59Speaker 1: it was like, okay, when or self deprecating Demi so
- 29:02Speaker 1: much better. She uh, she came in really confident. I
- 29:06Speaker 1: would say, like she almost showed up and she did
- 29:09Speaker 1: have the entrance that was expected where everybody goes, oh,
- 29:12Speaker 1: there's DIMMI like like she she could have shook up
- 29:16Speaker 1: Paradise in really any way she wanted to, because she's
- 29:20Speaker 1: dimmy and because of her confidence and I'm with you,
- 29:24Speaker 1: she almost went in like setting herself up to get
- 29:26Speaker 1: like hurt, like because you know she wanted to be
- 29:29Speaker 1: there and you know she was interested in finding something
- 29:32Speaker 1: and her like how she let in and kind of
- 29:35Speaker 1: how she went about it was like this could backfire quickly,
- 29:38Speaker 1: and it kind of felt like episode when it did.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I mean, she was chasing after a rose to the
- 29:41Speaker 1: very end. She didn't have any like meaningful connections. Tinley,
- 29:45Speaker 1: what's your thoughts. What I'm thinking is that she came
- 29:49Speaker 1: in rural strong in in like with with two Um.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I don't know. It just it felt a little bit overconfident,
- 29:57Speaker 1: is what it was. It felt also like an act, right, yes, okay,
- 30:01Speaker 1: that's exactly what I was trying to put my way.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It was like she was trying to play some like
- 30:06Speaker 1: sex panther type like Jessica Rabbit role. Yes, And I
- 30:12Speaker 1: like you love the like the Demi that you can
- 30:16Speaker 1: kind of relate to on a little bit more of
- 30:19Speaker 1: a personal level of there's a little bit of like
- 30:24Speaker 1: a man, Denny, I'm feeling you. When she did get
- 30:27Speaker 1: to that point of um, not necessarily connecting with Brendan,
- 30:32Speaker 1: but I was also like, Dummi, not every I don't know.
- 30:35Speaker 1: It just took me back to the moments of like,
- 30:37Speaker 1: man doesn't like me, and it's like, that's just how
- 30:41Speaker 1: life goes. And I'm just gonna You're not gonna be
- 30:43Speaker 1: a match with everybody. And so I was sitting on
- 30:46Speaker 1: the other side of the TV just saying, like Demi,
- 30:48Speaker 1: it's okay, he's not your guy. Um. But yeah, she
- 30:51Speaker 1: came in super strong and it was a little much,
- 30:54Speaker 1: and I mean, we've gotten no Demmi outside of the show.
- 30:57Speaker 1: The Demmi that like is incredible is to that you've
- 31:00Speaker 1: watched on television, You've been like, you know, you've laughed
- 31:03Speaker 1: with she like says whatever she wants. But it's the
- 31:05Speaker 1: Demmi that's like that is vulnerable and that cracks that
- 31:10Speaker 1: like that shell open that makes us go, holy cow,
- 31:12Speaker 1: like this is are one of our favorite people that
- 31:14Speaker 1: we've ever seen on this franchise ever, because she's relatable,
- 31:18Speaker 1: she's unapologetic. She says what she's feeling and thinking, and
- 31:23Speaker 1: it was like almost like a shock to the system.
- 31:25Speaker 1: As a viewer and a fan of Demmi's when she
- 31:28Speaker 1: came down, You're like, hey, all I want you to
- 31:30Speaker 1: do is be Demmi, Like you don't have to be
- 31:33Speaker 1: anybody else, because like who we love is the one
- 31:37Speaker 1: that's like, yes, saying ridiculous things and getting involved in
- 31:43Speaker 1: stuff that was like that I never would just based
- 31:45Speaker 1: on my own fears and like lack of like confrontation skills.
- 31:50Speaker 1: And then the one that was also sitting with you
- 31:52Speaker 1: as you're like hurt in the corner of hurting with you,
- 31:55Speaker 1: and like we didn't see that. I'm hoping we see
- 31:57Speaker 1: that as episodes continue, be she is going to be
- 32:00Speaker 1: there now, and now she is sitting in a position
- 32:03Speaker 1: where I think she thrives, which is she has the rose,
- 32:05Speaker 1: so like she gets to decide who's there and who's not,
- 32:08Speaker 1: and so she gets to take a break from like
- 32:10Speaker 1: going after too now maybe investing into It's almost like
- 32:14Speaker 1: she reverted back to like who she was the first
- 32:16Speaker 1: couple of episodes of Colton season before she got to
- 32:20Speaker 1: that rone or place where it was like, remember how
- 32:22Speaker 1: she went from villain to somebody that like she was
- 32:27Speaker 1: everybody like could see themselves in a little bit. Um.
- 32:32Speaker 1: So I was just like, no, no no, no, dummy, don't
- 32:33Speaker 1: go back to that one. Don't go back to that one.
- 32:35Speaker 1: So it was nice to see, like really quickly, like
- 32:37Speaker 1: with a flip of a switch, when he kind of
- 32:41Speaker 1: denied her. It was back to where we left off
- 32:45Speaker 1: with her, that relatability and you books said that word.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I think that that relatability, and and where she starts
- 32:51Speaker 1: to just kind of speak in her own but not
- 32:53Speaker 1: with without trying so hard to be something else. That's
- 32:56Speaker 1: what it was. She's character would be watching as it continues,
- 32:59Speaker 1: because obviously she's around and she's gonna make a statement now.
- 33:03Speaker 1: There's also through this episode we begin to enter into
- 33:07Speaker 1: the Victoria pe drama, which was, um, I guess for me,
- 33:13Speaker 1: it was hard for me to follow and hard for
- 33:15Speaker 1: me to really like engage with because I just I
- 33:18Speaker 1: still don't know what was true, what wasn't true, what happened,
- 33:21Speaker 1: what's not Like I was kind of on her side, like, hey,
- 33:23Speaker 1: she was dating somebody, they broke up, and she still
- 33:25Speaker 1: went on paradise because it felt fun and at the end,
- 33:29Speaker 1: you know she's in the car and she her last
- 33:30Speaker 1: statement is, hey, I'm I realized that I don't need
- 33:33Speaker 1: to be looking for anything here. What I have is
- 33:35Speaker 1: back home. And it's like, well, what then are you
- 33:37Speaker 1: dating somebody? Are you not? What's going on? But it
- 33:40Speaker 1: blew up, right, I mean that was the whole thing.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Is this became like the topic of the episode. It
- 33:44Speaker 1: felt like she was a little too defensive, don't you
- 33:48Speaker 1: think that? But and I'm so bummed. I was such
- 33:50Speaker 1: a fan and I was so excited to see how
- 33:52Speaker 1: things were gonna play out for her, and I was hopeful,
- 33:55Speaker 1: um to see something happened for her. And then I
- 33:58Speaker 1: felt like what you just said? Then, like how how
- 34:01Speaker 1: she kind of said it herself. You're like, well, what
- 34:05Speaker 1: was really going on? But she came off pretty defensive,
- 34:08Speaker 1: which always leaves me into wondering what the what the
- 34:13Speaker 1: truth is and maybe going back home was the best thing.
- 34:16Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah, I mean I believe Tammy and Kelsey
- 34:21Speaker 1: when they were talking about that stuff, um, and they
- 34:25Speaker 1: share a dog together, they were together on Thursday. It
- 34:29Speaker 1: just seemed like a little Jedlike right, it's like you
- 34:31Speaker 1: were you were spending time with them the day before
- 34:34Speaker 1: you left. Um, And then I just thought that as
- 34:40Speaker 1: soon as she pulled James aside and was basically like, okay, um,
- 34:43Speaker 1: this is the end of the road, like I'm leaving.
- 34:44Speaker 1: That was a dead giveaway to me that she got
- 34:47Speaker 1: caught in a lie because she was like, Oh, if
- 34:49Speaker 1: I stick around, it's not going to get better for me.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I'm still gonna continue look bad. She think that it
- 34:54Speaker 1: was not going to be brought up. But that's one
- 34:58Speaker 1: thing I love about Paradise that it can be even
- 35:01Speaker 1: turned into a little bit of like a comedic relief
- 35:04Speaker 1: because I don't know if you guys remember, but they
- 35:07Speaker 1: did almost this little drawing of I think it was
- 35:10Speaker 1: talking about like and here's her game plan, and I
- 35:15Speaker 1: don't it just it added a little bit of lightheartedness
- 35:19Speaker 1: to something that can be a big team that is
- 35:21Speaker 1: a big deal. It is. I mean, it's not surprising
- 35:26Speaker 1: on who brought it up, but it also it was
- 35:31Speaker 1: It was a wild thing to watch. I also think
- 35:34Speaker 1: as a like I get to you know, when you
- 35:36Speaker 1: get to hear from contestants on if they're choosing to
- 35:37Speaker 1: go or not. And I've had friends go on the
- 35:40Speaker 1: show even though they're dating people back home. They almost
- 35:43Speaker 1: feel like Paradise is this is just this opportunity almost
- 35:48Speaker 1: and like that they're not gonna get caught or it's
- 35:50Speaker 1: not going to catch up with them, or it's not
- 35:51Speaker 1: as serious as the big shows. Uh. And then I
- 35:55Speaker 1: feel like every time it comes back to bite them,
- 35:58Speaker 1: like every time it does get found it out, every
- 36:00Speaker 1: time it does get emotional. I mean for me, there's
- 36:02Speaker 1: a big moment this episode where Natasha starts crying. And
- 36:05Speaker 1: Natasha has been around the franchise, she's a host on
- 36:08Speaker 1: the franchise, this podcast. She's very like, um, I mean,
- 36:13Speaker 1: she's a veteran at this, She's very like she understands
- 36:16Speaker 1: the process. Yet there's still emotion getting pulled out of her.
- 36:19Speaker 1: And I almost would think like, hey, if I was
- 36:21Speaker 1: single and like maybe like four years ago, if they
- 36:24Speaker 1: would have asked me go on Paradise and I was
- 36:26Speaker 1: considering it, I'd been like, yeah, I'm gonna go. Well,
- 36:28Speaker 1: kind of like Winter Games. I went there thinking I'm
- 36:30Speaker 1: gonna do this because I'm gonna see what it is,
- 36:33Speaker 1: see what it feels like. But I'm like, it's not
- 36:35Speaker 1: gonna be a thing for me. It's just gonna be
- 36:37Speaker 1: an experience and then all of a sudden, like somehow
- 36:39Speaker 1: the show just pulls emotion out of you, like like
- 36:41Speaker 1: out of nowhere. I love Natasha Um. She just has
- 36:46Speaker 1: a real sense of realness about her. And I just
- 36:51Speaker 1: feel like this whole Brendan and Piper storyline is gonna
- 36:57Speaker 1: be huge. What is it reminiscent of why can't my
- 37:00Speaker 1: finger on it? Joe and Julia and Sam? I guess,
- 37:05Speaker 1: I guess. But hey, that was nothing compared to this
- 37:09Speaker 1: because they say in the episode that they like hung
- 37:12Speaker 1: out with each other once, but those two like flew
- 37:16Speaker 1: to each other multiple times or no, Piper and Brendan
- 37:21Speaker 1: they saw each other in like the way that you
- 37:23Speaker 1: had to like physically, Oh didn't didn't Colton And Okay,
- 37:31Speaker 1: yeah that that too. Who happened? So maybe they didn't
- 37:36Speaker 1: fly to each other, but like he lives in the
- 37:38Speaker 1: Boston area, I think she lives in the New York area,
- 37:40Speaker 1: So like they had to make efforts to see each
- 37:43Speaker 1: other multiple times, and like that was a headline. People
- 37:47Speaker 1: went into Paradise thinking that they were going to be
- 37:49Speaker 1: that they were coupled up. There is a reason that
- 37:53Speaker 1: girls coming in late I don't like that because do
- 37:56Speaker 1: you remember how hurt Julia was? Yeah, and no matter
- 38:01Speaker 1: what in Natasha seems like a great girl. So but
- 38:04Speaker 1: how does she not know? Yeah? How does she not now?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Or does she know? I mean I knew what I mean,
- 38:10Speaker 1: she's she's a podcast host. Remember, Yeah, I have no idea.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I probably thought they broke up. Yeah, and I mean
- 38:20Speaker 1: might be a moment here where even after like the
- 38:23Speaker 1: Joe thing. Remember that was a big deal. Joe Bailey
- 38:25Speaker 1: we're talking about was texting beforehand, like it was just texting,
- 38:29Speaker 1: and we it was like the biggest controversy and paradise ever.
- 38:32Speaker 1: I feel like we're desensitizing ourselves to now like like
- 38:35Speaker 1: maybe next year all these people would be dating beforehand
- 38:38Speaker 1: and look on the paradise and we'll just see all
- 38:39Speaker 1: these tears. Because then like people that they thought where
- 38:41Speaker 1: they had been dating and they both like text each
- 38:44Speaker 1: other like hey, we'll both get a paradise and this
- 38:45Speaker 1: will be a great romantic story. Blah blah blah. Then
- 38:48Speaker 1: they show up and like their heart's broken because the
- 38:50Speaker 1: persons with somebody else like that could be what happens.
- 38:53Speaker 1: But you know, we you know, we feel bad for
- 38:57Speaker 1: Joe Bailey because he took the wrath of something years go.
- 39:00Speaker 1: But that's been But you guys, you didn't You do
- 39:04Speaker 1: know that Brendan's saying to Demi that like he's keeping
- 39:08Speaker 1: his options open, and he said it's so upfront, like
- 39:11Speaker 1: early on in a in a date, you know, he's thinking, well,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I know Piper's coming down the stairs next week, so
- 39:17Speaker 1: I've got to make sure that I don't really commit
- 39:19Speaker 1: to anyone. And like this is a whole other Brendon
- 39:22Speaker 1: because we always think like, oh sweet Brendon, Right, No,
- 39:25Speaker 1: this guy has a plan, he's scheme, and he's gamified.
- 39:30Speaker 1: He's gaming this thing. So I said, I've seen more
- 39:33Speaker 1: gaming right now than than past seasons. That's how I feel. Well,
- 39:36Speaker 1: what are the big headlines happened this episode? We have
- 39:40Speaker 1: the kind of the errand uh love triangle that was
- 39:45Speaker 1: you know wild. We thought like he was going to
- 39:48Speaker 1: go with Tammy for sure. Uh that kind of changed
- 39:52Speaker 1: their mind when he gets a rap song by Serena,
- 39:56Speaker 1: then he's back with Tammy. Timmy definitely makes a statement
- 39:59Speaker 1: there like she make sure that like her mark is
- 40:02Speaker 1: shown because right in front of everybody, she straddles him
- 40:05Speaker 1: and they're making out. She ends up getting the rose.
- 40:07Speaker 1: But let's talk about the exits for a second. Anybody's
- 40:10Speaker 1: shocking to you too, anybody surprising that went home, or
- 40:13Speaker 1: any couples that you didn't see. I mean, I feel
- 40:15Speaker 1: like the couples we pretty much could have predicted outside
- 40:18Speaker 1: of James at the very end. But did anybody go
- 40:22Speaker 1: home that you're shocked by? I wanted Kelsey to stick
- 40:25Speaker 1: around longer. I did. I thought that she's she it
- 40:30Speaker 1: looked like she's had a lot of growth, or she
- 40:32Speaker 1: shared I think it was in her package, um at
- 40:35Speaker 1: the beginning of Paradise that she she feels that she's
- 40:38Speaker 1: had a lot of growth since he was on The Bachelor,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and um, I just wanted to see her get to
- 40:43Speaker 1: kind of explore that in that space. Uh, that Paradise
- 40:48Speaker 1: was one of It was a really unique experience for
- 40:51Speaker 1: me in in the extent of some of my growth
- 40:54Speaker 1: at that point in my life. And UM, I was
- 40:56Speaker 1: hoping that for Kelsey. So I was loved to see
- 40:58Speaker 1: her go, but you know, her Guy's not there, Guy's
- 41:01Speaker 1: not there. I was also bummed a sea Kelsey go.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I thought that, um, she did seem like she grew.
- 41:09Speaker 1: She I just always found her very likable. I thought
- 41:12Speaker 1: it made would have made more sense for James to
- 41:15Speaker 1: have kept her than Demi, but you know, Demi is
- 41:18Speaker 1: like really good TV. Yeah, and the way Yes, And then, um,
- 41:30Speaker 1: I guess I'm pretty surprised at Victoria Larson didn't really
- 41:35Speaker 1: make any sort of splash. I am I shocked that,
- 41:39Speaker 1: like no guy was pining after her after what she
- 41:43Speaker 1: what she did on Matt season. No, not surprised, but
- 41:47Speaker 1: I'm surprised that she didn't figure out her way of
- 41:50Speaker 1: staying and she didn't. She didn't even like have a
- 41:53Speaker 1: lot of screen time. Yeah, we was did Victoria Larson
- 41:58Speaker 1: end up? It is between her and Tajuan or something
- 42:02Speaker 1: that they were. There were tears, right, there were tears
- 42:05Speaker 1: per a minute. I suck kind of stupid. It was
- 42:10Speaker 1: she kind of tried. She tried and it got really
- 42:13Speaker 1: mean and it got like oddly aggressive out of nowhere,
- 42:16Speaker 1: and it felt like it was almost in desperation. The
- 42:20Speaker 1: thing that, um that surprised me is that one of
- 42:24Speaker 1: the ways we usually count on Paradise is it's wild,
- 42:26Speaker 1: it's weird, but it's usually redemptive for the characters that
- 42:31Speaker 1: we've watched on the big show kind of fall apart, right,
- 42:34Speaker 1: it's usually at some level redemptive. Victoria's story was definitely
- 42:38Speaker 1: not um you know, like I mean, it didn't hurt
- 42:42Speaker 1: or help her, but we really didn't leave this going,
- 42:45Speaker 1: oh we have a new light shined on Victoria, which
- 42:49Speaker 1: usually we do. We can look back on past contestants.
- 42:51Speaker 1: I mean, Demmy is a good example, right, I mean
- 42:53Speaker 1: Demmy had definitely redeemed herself on Colton season and left
- 42:57Speaker 1: that show as a fan favorite, and then she went
- 42:59Speaker 1: to Paradise and just fell in love with her more. Yeah,
- 43:02Speaker 1: it's just kind of like Victoria was there and went
- 43:04Speaker 1: and never really brought much to the season, not even
- 43:08Speaker 1: a lot of like laughs, Like we didn't even get
- 43:10Speaker 1: a lot of like, oh my gosh, there she is
- 43:12Speaker 1: again doing that. It just yeah, she was a minor character.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Somebody did address her by goddess or something. They called
- 43:20Speaker 1: her goddess. I don't remember who it was, and that
- 43:22Speaker 1: was probably I don't know the best. Yeah, I wonder
- 43:27Speaker 1: if that was upon request. I wonder if she was like, hey,
- 43:30Speaker 1: please refer to me, which would be which would be
- 43:32Speaker 1: one way to push every guy away, like please refer
- 43:35Speaker 1: to me, because yeah, it would be a great storyline.
- 43:38Speaker 1: It just would be one way to never find a relationship.
- 43:41Speaker 1: If you address me, goddess, I will respond to you.
- 43:43Speaker 1: But yes, it's a little bit more. Um. Yeah, yeah,
- 43:46Speaker 1: that would be interesting. Well, any other comments on this, uh,
- 43:49Speaker 1: this week's episode or paradise so far? Uh? Tidley, I
- 43:52Speaker 1: do have a question for you. Are you excited for
- 43:54Speaker 1: the next next guest host to step in and replace
- 43:58Speaker 1: David Spade? Oh? Yeah, so this is so exciting. Um.
- 44:02Speaker 1: But at the same time, can I just say that,
- 44:04Speaker 1: and I know that everybody has their own opinion on this. Um,
- 44:08Speaker 1: I missed Chris so much. But at the same time,
- 44:11Speaker 1: because I've been around for so many years, so of
- 44:14Speaker 1: course it's just kind of a natural thing to be
- 44:17Speaker 1: like ou there. But David Spade was it was funny
- 44:20Speaker 1: to me. He was funny. So but now we have
- 44:23Speaker 1: Lance Bass coming in, right. I thought. I thought David
- 44:26Speaker 1: Spade brought the community relief we needed. I don't know
- 44:28Speaker 1: if it would have worked all season, um, but I
- 44:31Speaker 1: thought for a week Ashley is very excited for a
- 44:34Speaker 1: new change, which I think a lot of people are. Guy.
- 44:36Speaker 1: But Lance Bass is her guy, She's so pumped. It's
- 44:41Speaker 1: your bestie, right, Yeah, yeah, no, I'm very excited about it.
- 44:46Speaker 1: I do think that that David Spade would I think
- 44:52Speaker 1: it would have been interesting if There Wells wasn't there,
- 44:55Speaker 1: because Wells was truly a co host. Yeah he is.
- 44:59Speaker 1: He and he did a great job during the Rose ceremony.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Like I will say that, of everything has felt kind
- 45:06Speaker 1: of weird not having Chris that right over the past
- 45:08Speaker 1: season and some now that Rose ceremony didn't really feel
- 45:12Speaker 1: that weird. It's the entrances. It really is the entrances
- 45:16Speaker 1: where you feel that missing of that nostalgia part. But
- 45:20Speaker 1: but and I think David Spade did a great job.
- 45:22Speaker 1: So I'm excited to watch Land's Best. Will be really
- 45:24Speaker 1: interesting to see how this continues to turn over throughout
- 45:26Speaker 1: the whole season. Um, but I'm like need the show
- 45:30Speaker 1: to be on like right now so I can continue
- 45:32Speaker 1: watching everything that's coming going down, Like Paradise is always
- 45:37Speaker 1: there's just there's storms constantly. One thing I think we
- 45:41Speaker 1: should add before we end this wrap up and the
- 45:44Speaker 1: recap is the just Senda and Ivan situation. I do
- 45:48Speaker 1: feel like they have a strong connection. They had a
- 45:50Speaker 1: good conversation over dinner. It seems very drama free. I
- 45:55Speaker 1: think they're just going to kind of like have a
- 45:56Speaker 1: smooth sailing moment. Has there been anything in the previews
- 45:59Speaker 1: that have said otherwise with the two of them? No, No,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I mean I could see it right Ivan's They just
- 46:06Speaker 1: feel like the couple that came into this both wanting relationship,
- 46:10Speaker 1: understanding what you know. Even Ivan's conversations with you know
- 46:14Speaker 1: Tasia on the season he was on like you just
- 46:16Speaker 1: know that guy has a good ahead of his shoulders,
- 46:19Speaker 1: just sin you always had a good run at it.
- 46:21Speaker 1: It feels like a couple that could really work. I
- 46:24Speaker 1: said it just mark my words. I have no I
- 46:27Speaker 1: have not looked a single spoiler, but I just feel
- 46:30Speaker 1: it with those two. I feel like there's something very
- 46:34Speaker 1: genuine in the conversation that they had and um and
- 46:38Speaker 1: just a little bit of there. I don't know, they
- 46:40Speaker 1: just have a good fit and good feel. It's a
- 46:43Speaker 1: it's a big deal. Well, Tiley, we really love having
- 46:46Speaker 1: you on. Before you go, Um, we do have an
- 46:49Speaker 1: exciting thing to announce. We've been doing this thing, Timley
- 46:51Speaker 1: on the podcast with a Bachelor bracket this year, so
- 46:56Speaker 1: it's Bachelor in Paradise bracket. Um, everybody that's listening can
- 46:59Speaker 1: follow on. They can still jump in and play. It's
- 47:01Speaker 1: not too late. Only you could if you wanted. We
- 47:03Speaker 1: have over a thousand people that are playing in it
- 47:06Speaker 1: right now, which is super fun. You just pick your contestants.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Each week you get points based on their screen time,
- 47:13Speaker 1: based on the stuff they says, based on people using
- 47:15Speaker 1: their names. Um, so for those of you playing along
- 47:18Speaker 1: or are going to jump in and start playing along,
- 47:20Speaker 1: each week will be announcing a new Bachelor Bracket rule.
- 47:23Speaker 1: So there'll be a rule that will uh be uh
- 47:27Speaker 1: with our within our league that will change week to week. Uh.
- 47:32Speaker 1: This week's rule is this contestant mentions a past Bachelor
- 47:37Speaker 1: or Bachelor atte lead, you get ten points. So if
- 47:41Speaker 1: Demi mentions Colton's name, you get ten points for Demi. Uh.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Same with Joe, same with any of these contestants. If
- 47:47Speaker 1: they mentioned any past bachelor or Becca steps in, well,
- 47:53Speaker 1: her name will be mentioned a lot. So I think
- 47:55Speaker 1: that could be a big point get here, especially for
- 47:58Speaker 1: the person that she in is up being with. I
- 48:00Speaker 1: don't know, it's it's interesting, it's a fun thing, so
- 48:04Speaker 1: make sure you go uh, and visit the website, which Ashley,
- 48:08Speaker 1: it is what batch bracket dot com and if you
- 48:11Speaker 1: scroll down a little bit you will see our batch
- 48:15Speaker 1: bracket up there in the bottom in a scroll area.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Super fun. Well hey, uh Timley, once again, you're awesome.
- 48:22Speaker 1: You're incredible. Um, thanks for joining us, Thanks for breaking
- 48:25Speaker 1: this week down. Best of luck with everything, keep in
- 48:28Speaker 1: touch and uh, you're one of the best. Thanks Timley,
- 48:32Speaker 1: Thanks so much, guys, good to see you both. I
- 48:41Speaker 1: know I'm not alone and thinking like, what is in
- 48:45Speaker 1: that tampon cotton? Like, I know there's chemicals in there
- 48:50Speaker 1: and that is weird. It does not feel okay. And
- 48:53Speaker 1: we all have heard a lot about how tampons are
- 48:56Speaker 1: not the best for the environment, neither our pads. So
- 48:59Speaker 1: if you guys are looking for something to change your
- 49:03Speaker 1: lifestyle for the better and the planet, you've got to try.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Flex Flex is innovating period care with products that are
- 49:09Speaker 1: body safe, made for comfort, and made to keep you moving.
- 49:13Speaker 1: There's the flex Disc, which is a one time use
- 49:17Speaker 1: menstrual disk that fits perfectly inside your body. It's one
- 49:21Speaker 1: flex disc that can be worn for up to twelve
- 49:24Speaker 1: hours and holds as much flow as three super tampons,
- 49:28Speaker 1: which is crazy because you know that normally you wouldn't
- 49:30Speaker 1: be able to keep a tampon in for twelve hours safely.
- 49:33Speaker 1: So I mean that that's pretty innovative. And if you
- 49:37Speaker 1: want to go zero waste and have the planet love
- 49:41Speaker 1: you even more, pick up the Flex cup. It's a
- 49:43Speaker 1: reusable menstrual cup that Cosmo has rated number one. So

- 50:05Speaker 1: and lend mother nature a hand. Go to flex fits
- 50:09Speaker 1: dot com slash almost and use the code almost for
- 50:14Speaker 1: off Flex disc Starter kits or ten percent off your
- 50:18Speaker 1: first Flex cup plus free shipping. That's code almost at
- 50:23Speaker 1: flex f l e x fits dot com slash almost. Well.
- 50:30Speaker 1: We thought that the Flex was so cool that we
- 50:33Speaker 1: decided to have the inventor of it, Lauren Shalty Wong,
- 50:38Speaker 1: onto the podcast just to explain a little bit more
- 50:40Speaker 1: about our product, because I can understand how it's a
- 50:42Speaker 1: little mind boggling at first. You launched Flex in two
- 50:47Speaker 1: thousand and sixteen with the hope and dream of transforming
- 50:51Speaker 1: the lives of people with periods. What was it that
- 50:54Speaker 1: inspired you to start Flex? I'm just getting these infections
- 50:59Speaker 1: for fifteen years, and years and years of these infections. Yeah. Um,
- 51:06Speaker 1: I'm originally from a small town in Georgia, and honestly,
- 51:09Speaker 1: I never really thought that much about my period products. UM.
- 51:12Speaker 1: But I just spent years researching and trying different products
- 51:16Speaker 1: from all over the world and trying to find something
- 51:19Speaker 1: new and trying to find something different, and I couldn't
- 51:21Speaker 1: really find anything. UM. So I decided to be the
- 51:24Speaker 1: first period care brand UM that would co design period
- 51:29Speaker 1: products with real customers to solve their problems. So, then,
- 51:33Speaker 1: how did you come up with the Flex the period cup?
- 51:36Speaker 1: Because I will be totally honest with you. Oh my gosh,
- 51:39Speaker 1: I can't believe I'm saying this on this podcast. But like,
- 51:42Speaker 1: I was horrified of standpots until like my tool ENnies,
- 51:48Speaker 1: I was like that they freaked me out. So, like
- 51:50Speaker 1: the period cup also seems a little intimidating. How do
- 51:54Speaker 1: we get over that thought? Yeah, so we have a
- 51:57Speaker 1: couple of different products. That first product was a risk,
- 52:00Speaker 1: and I heard that people wanted more sustainable period products.
- 52:04Speaker 1: But they didn't like the idea UM of rinsing and
- 52:08Speaker 1: reusing something, so they wanted something more sustainable than a
- 52:11Speaker 1: tamp on our pad, but we weren't able to fully
- 52:14Speaker 1: commit to let's say, rinsing out a cup in a
- 52:17Speaker 1: public space UM. So our disks. Disks are our first product,
- 52:23Speaker 1: and they're designed so that you can wear them for
- 52:25Speaker 1: twelve hours, so the only disposable period product that can
- 52:28Speaker 1: be worn for twelve hours. They reduce cramps and sixty
- 52:31Speaker 1: percent of our users you can wear them for mess
- 52:34Speaker 1: free period sex and those benefits for a lot of
- 52:36Speaker 1: folks are enough to get over the hurdle. But the
- 52:39Speaker 1: thing that I love is you can use the bathroom
- 52:41Speaker 1: and empty it on the go like hands free emptying,
- 52:45Speaker 1: so you re emptying hands free emstying, so there's no
- 52:49Speaker 1: rinsing and reusing, and once you're back at home you
- 52:51Speaker 1: can you can take it out and toss it, but
- 52:54Speaker 1: you end up using six less waste than um traditional
- 52:57Speaker 1: period products. And a cup is different because we're the
- 53:02Speaker 1: only cup in the world that has a patented poll
- 53:05Speaker 1: tab that helps break the seal um so it helps
- 53:09Speaker 1: prevent it from getting stuck, which is something that I
- 53:12Speaker 1: think a lot of folks are afraid of when using
- 53:14Speaker 1: for a cup for the very first time. Definitely, And
- 53:17Speaker 1: what about the mess is there? Is it any different
- 53:20Speaker 1: than taking out a tampon? You feel it is different
- 53:22Speaker 1: than taking out a tampon and absolutely takes practice and
- 53:25Speaker 1: there's a learning curve. So the question I always ask
- 53:29Speaker 1: people if they're thinking about trying a new period product
- 53:31Speaker 1: is is it worth testing something out to see if
- 53:34Speaker 1: all the other benefits outweigh, you know, getting your hands
- 53:38Speaker 1: a little messy while you're learning to use something new
- 53:40Speaker 1: for the very first time. Okay, that's understandable. And then, um,
- 53:45Speaker 1: I hope it's not to tm I for this podcast,
- 53:48Speaker 1: But how do you insert the disks? Yeah, they're pretty straightforward.
- 53:54Speaker 1: You pinch it in half and it actually gets about
- 53:57Speaker 1: dinner than a tampon, and you push it all the
- 54:00Speaker 1: a back and down and it pops open into place.
- 54:03Speaker 1: So if it's improperly, you shouldn't feel it at all.
- 54:06Speaker 1: And it's got, um this nice bim that molds the
- 54:11Speaker 1: form of your body, so it's ultra comfortable and pretty
- 54:14Speaker 1: easy to remove. So you talked about how you are
- 54:18Speaker 1: getting us infections. Is tampon use a common a common
- 54:24Speaker 1: um a common thing to cause us infections? Tampones can
- 54:29Speaker 1: for some people disrupt the pH of your of your
- 54:32Speaker 1: vagina absorbs, you know, they just absorb all of that um,
- 54:37Speaker 1: healthy bio flora that your body works so hard to
- 54:40Speaker 1: produce everyone to keep up immunity and help prevent infections.
- 54:44Speaker 1: So not for not everyone has issues with tampons, and
- 54:47Speaker 1: I'm not trashing tampons by any stretch of imagination, but
- 54:50Speaker 1: for some people they can throw off the pH of
- 54:53Speaker 1: a vagina, which can lead to um yeast infections and
- 54:57Speaker 1: bacterial vaginosis. So it was really important to us that
- 55:00Speaker 1: we used fully medical grade materials that would not promote
- 55:03Speaker 1: the growth of harmful bacteria. And and the dis are
- 55:07Speaker 1: actually the only period product in the world that haven't
- 55:11Speaker 1: been linked to TSS. Amazing, Yeah, because you said that
- 55:15Speaker 1: you can keep it in for twelve hours and it
- 55:18Speaker 1: absorbs as much as three super tampons were, So that
- 55:22Speaker 1: is pretty incredible that we don't have to worry about
- 55:25Speaker 1: toxic shock. Is there anything else about your product that
- 55:28Speaker 1: you want to talk about before we let you go
- 55:31Speaker 1: try and offer mystery period sex? I mean I've never
- 55:34Speaker 1: really had an issue with period sex personally. Um, but
- 55:38Speaker 1: you can have all different types and sexes and have
- 55:41Speaker 1: to be penetrated sex to be able to enjoy the disk,
- 55:44Speaker 1: and some people find that to be very free. Well,
- 55:49Speaker 1: thank you so much for joining us, Lauren. UM. It
- 55:51Speaker 1: was very informative and makes me a lot less intimidated
- 55:55Speaker 1: by the new inventions which are so popular. Our friend
- 56:00Speaker 1: and colleague here at I Heeart, you know, Tanya Rad,
- 56:03Speaker 1: she cannot stop talking about how much you love the
- 56:05Speaker 1: flex cups. Oh, it's so great to hear. I'm really
- 56:08Speaker 1: proud of our growth, and I think it's just because customers,
- 56:12Speaker 1: like I said, are experiencing those real benefits. It can
- 56:14Speaker 1: always be really scary to try something new, but you know,
- 56:18Speaker 1: if it's going to make your beers more comfortable and
- 56:20Speaker 1: eliminate cramps and give you more sexy time, it's worth
- 56:23Speaker 1: a shot. How does it eliminate cramps? People? So it's
- 56:29Speaker 1: not gonna eliminate pre menstrual cramps, but a lot of
- 56:32Speaker 1: folks get more cramps and they're wearing a hard tampon
- 56:36Speaker 1: inside of their vagina because your body is essentially trying
- 56:41Speaker 1: to contract to relieve reliase all of the menses. Um.
- 56:46Speaker 1: And so you don't have like a hard felt object
- 56:49Speaker 1: in the middle of your vagina. The flex this sits
- 56:52Speaker 1: in a in a different states around your vaginal fornics
- 56:55Speaker 1: with there are fewer nerve endings, and it's stopped and
- 56:57Speaker 1: it's flexible. Um. So it moves with your body and
- 57:02Speaker 1: creates that leak free seal um. And so that's where
- 57:05Speaker 1: a lot of folks tell us that their cramps are
- 57:07Speaker 1: so much better. Wow, so interesting. I always thought there
- 57:11Speaker 1: would be something to that. All right, Well, Lauren, thanks
- 57:13Speaker 1: so much for joining us today. We really appreciate it. Yeah,
- 57:16Speaker 1: thanks for having me. Why it's time for one of
- 57:22Speaker 1: your favorite segments, one of our favorite segments with our
- 57:25Speaker 1: resident expert in all things hot topics, Hey Ashley. First
- 57:30Speaker 1: headline Katie Thurston and Blake Moine's visit Canada together after
- 57:33Speaker 1: bachelor engagement. The photos are attached and go find them
- 57:38Speaker 1: on us. Yeah. So they finally did like a hometown visit,
- 57:43Speaker 1: a real hometown visit that wasn't like, you know, planned
- 57:45Speaker 1: in the desert of New Mexico. Um. So, Blake took
- 57:52Speaker 1: Katie to Niagara Falls, which he mentioned on the show
- 57:56Speaker 1: was very close to his home. Uh, they went on
- 57:59Speaker 1: like the boat to see the waterfall. Then they went
- 58:01Speaker 1: to Toronto and then they they went to Tim Horton's,
- 58:08Speaker 1: which you know is the dunkin Donuts of Canada. Um.
- 58:11Speaker 1: And then they had a nice dinner where they had
- 58:16Speaker 1: a congratulations dessert, and then they took some cute selfies
- 58:21Speaker 1: and they posted the whole little visit on Instagram. It's cute,
- 58:26Speaker 1: it's sweet. Seems like they're doing well. Cute. Well, next
- 58:29Speaker 1: headline is going more towards Bachelor in Paradise and one
- 58:32Speaker 1: of your favorite people in the world, Lanes Bass was
- 58:35Speaker 1: surprised by Lance. Bass was surprised by how real everything
- 58:40Speaker 1: is on Bachelor in Paradise. This according to us. Oh
- 58:45Speaker 1: my goodness, Lance, and we have to have a chat.
- 58:47Speaker 1: It's so real, it's so crazy. Is he the the
- 58:49Speaker 1: the host for next week? I can't confirm that. I
- 58:52Speaker 1: don't know, you can't confirm that. Um, well, it might
- 58:56Speaker 1: be for tonight's episode. We might get a new host
- 58:58Speaker 1: for tonight's episode because we were during this Monday guys. Um,
- 59:01Speaker 1: you know there's two episodes this week. But okay, anyway,
- 59:04Speaker 1: back to what lansm. He says, um he thought, He goes,
- 59:11Speaker 1: I thought, like they've been on the franchise before. It's
- 59:14Speaker 1: like they come in here like actors, like, Okay, I
- 59:17Speaker 1: know what you guys need, let's do this, like you know,
- 59:20Speaker 1: speaking as if like the cast is talking to the
- 59:23Speaker 1: producers like that. And then he said that soon into
- 59:27Speaker 1: like entering Paradise, he saw how committed everyone was to
- 59:30Speaker 1: the show's real premise. He goes, they come in guns blazing.
- 59:35Speaker 1: I mean, it is just so real. I did not
- 59:38Speaker 1: realize that you could start falling for somebody so quickly
- 59:41Speaker 1: when you're in a setting like that. He says. Getting
- 59:43Speaker 1: there was pretty incredible. I was a kid in a
- 59:45Speaker 1: candy store walking around. I was like, oh my gosh,
- 59:48Speaker 1: that's wells Adams bar, Oh my gosh, this is where
- 59:51Speaker 1: that happened. And he goes, and I was just like
- 59:54Speaker 1: a super deep fan that first few hours. And he goes,
- 59:58Speaker 1: I love grocery store, Joe. He was so sweet. He
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: reminds me of me so many of my and it
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: reminds me of so many of my exes that I
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: got anxiety. He goes, I just feel for people like that.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Just can't get out of their own heads, but he
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: thinks he's super sweet and really deserves love. Um, The
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Lands is the best. I love The Lands is going
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: to bring that like fanboy energy to hosting, just because,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: like I said, last week, it's almost like David Spade
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: was apathetic about it all, and to be frank, I
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: think he seemed more apathetic this week, and like the
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: two seconds we saw of him, yeah, he kind of
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: even made that coming. He's like, Hey, it's good to
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: see you guys again. I've seen you since since he
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: showed up, and then as he walked out, he's like, hey,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: what do I get paid? I think that was part
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: of David's stick, Like, I think that was the comedy
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: of it all. But it will be refreshing to have
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: somebody there that's like super involved and wanting to be
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: around and finding joy in the in the in the
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: uh couples. I think David was definitely there for like
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: comedic relief um, and it worked right, but you you
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: wouldn't want it for like the whole season because then
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: it just feels like the host doesn't care, and which
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: makes fans and viewerships over time probably feel like I
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: don't need to care. About this either. It's it's fun
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: to hear Lance talk this way. I think it's gonna
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: be I think it's me really awesome for the show.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: So pumped to see that. Well, uh, a funny headline
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: that we pulled out just to mention because we we
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: said we didn't want talk about anymore last week and
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: we really don't. But it was funny. How Trey from
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: bachelorm Paradise confronted the situation last week where um, his
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: suitor uh uh ta Juan in uh Paradise had dated
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: his uncle. Well, Trey tweeted a picture of his uncle Anthony.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: The headline reads, Bachelor Paradise is Trey reveals his uncle
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: after Tajuan admits they kissed. Soy posted this picture of
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: his uncle, who's a very handsome man and you know, young, youngish,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: you know not he's not like your old uncle. He
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: looks good. Yeah, yeah, he's very nice. Um and he says,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: too busy with work right now to think of a
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: clever way to do this. So I'm just gonna drop
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: this here and dip. He goes to those who care
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: meet Uncle Anthony. So funny, it's it's really good. Um,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: so gonna check it out. I I gotta kick out
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: of it. Well, Hey, big news and Bachelor Nation of
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Vanessa Grimaldi uh, former X of Nick File who is
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: celebrated in during this whole franchise is wed now to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: fiance Josh Wolf and the quote is I'm over the moon. Yes.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: So she got married over the weekend. She said exclusively,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I think two people right after the wedding. Josh is
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: the best partner to have in life. I feel so grateful.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: They got engaged last summer and they were married this
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: weekend at the Lamount Stephen Hotel. Um. So where is
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: this in Canada? I would say it was in Montreal, Yeah, Montreal. Um.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: And she wore a custom lace gown by m Maria
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: our Ceo design with a J and a V embroidered
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: on the sleeves. That's very cute, and she says, I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: choose comfort over everything. The dress hugs me in all
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: the right places and I feel so confident in it.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: That's awesome. Hey more, Yeah, congratulations to them. That's a
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: that's a couple that we've been watching for a while. Yeah,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: super awesome. Well more love news and badge for Nation.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: Uh Cen Fleming somebody that is just absolutely darling. We
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: fell in love with her from when she first came
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: on the podcast a couple of years ago, and she
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: ended up dating a realtor Doug Film or World. Hey,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: they're engaged now, and the quote is I always knew
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: he was the one He Yes, I remember her not
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: going to Paradise because of him. She was very serious
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: about her new boyfriend at the time. Um, she says, Yes,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I knew he was the one ful I first met him,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I because I never felt the way that I felt
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: for him with anyone else. He's become my best friend
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: and is truly the most kind and loving person I've
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: ever known. She tells us Weekly that he puts up
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: with all of her antics and ken and she could
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: be exactly who she she is with him, quirks and all. Uh.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: He planned the most amazing day. It was a complete surprise.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: He got down on one knee in Malibu. It started
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: with a helicopter ride over l A landing on a
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: hilltop in Malibu for the actual proposal, followed by a
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: surprise dinner with twenty close friends and families on a
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: rooftop restaurant in West Hollywood. That is so sweet. Something
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: really really incredible. Well, hey, we've been here in rumors.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Actually it's kind of a headline, kind of just sparking
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: your interests and what you think. We've heard rumors recently,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: especially coming from creator Mike Flys about the next Bachelor.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Um he dropped a hint recently about the new upcoming lead.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: He says, you'll be very happy. Well, of course that
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: never happens. Bachelorination is always split. I remember when I
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: was announced as the Bachelor. Have the people love to have?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: The people hated it? Oh? Ben, Ben, Ben, you know
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: you flatter me all the time, and this is time
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: for me to say, Ben, nobody there's never been a
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: more majority opinion as far as Bachelor's You were the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Ronald Reagan the Bachelor electoral College Okay, but do you
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: know even what Ronald Reagan was it for a second term?
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: And what the what the electoral college map look like?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: He'd only lost one state? He lost one state that
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: was you as the Bachelor. He lost that state. Well,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I don't know, Ashley. I feel like there's no winning
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: here for the franchise when it comes to the next league, Like,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: who could it be that everybody would be in favor?
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: I mean, I could see Andrew being announced and me like, hey,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: this is great, like good looking dude, seemed really like charismatic,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: worthy of love. I could see one of the past contestants,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: like a grocery store Joe. Um, if it doesn't work
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: out in Paradise for him coming on. I mean, that
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: would be fanchmastical. But I don't think it's going to
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: go in that direction. We'll see how it ends, but
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: there would be the two that would fit that, like, hey,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you'll be very happy idea with me. What do you
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: think about this? Um? I mean the rumors this week
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: were that the Bachelor front runner was Greg, in which
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: case I don't know that I would I've ever been
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: more disinterested in seeing is it disinterested or uninterested? Because
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: they both have different meanings. One means you're like apathetic
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: towards it, and the other one is that like you
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: don't like it so anyway. The one that I feel
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: is like, well, somewhere in between. I really do not
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: care about Blake's journey. I mean Blake's journey, oh my god,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Greg's journey to find love. That's where I'm like, it
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: can't be Greg, because there's no way that they would
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: be saying everybody will be very happy unless you're just
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: trying to create the narrative, Like unless you're trying to
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: like you know, communicate like what they think the public
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: is going to feel, and like make the public believe it.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I mean, Greg to me is like, hey, that works
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: like it's a choice. Uh. He doesn't have the best
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: reputation on the show, but we had, you know, justin
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: on who said how great Greg was and how he
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: kind of got the wrong on the deal there. What
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: if he does his alter ego the entire time now
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: in that case like it. But honestly, it's just to
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: me with that everybody will be very happy. It just
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: doesn't feel like Greg would be it. Like it feels
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: like somebody that had less of a controversial time on
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: the show. So that's why I'm going grocery store Joe
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: or Andrew. I can't really think of anybody else, um
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: that would even fall in that category. But I mean,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: what are you gonna do? Like it's uh, it should
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: be announced soon. At first I thought with Tyler Cameron
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: breaking up with his girlfriend that I was going to
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: be him, But no, it doesn't seem like it. We
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: even have a quote from Tyler talking about why he
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: decided not to be the Bachelor because you know, it's
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: obviously um offered to him at some point. He said,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: I made the joke before going on the show with
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: my buddies that I'm going to get that I'm going
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: to get second and become the Bachelor. And then I
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: got second. I got offered it, but I was like, nah,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: this isn't my world. And he said that my he
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: goes my dad was sick again. I had some stuff
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: going on at home, um that and and you know
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: that just didn't work out. And then he said, because
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: I needed money in case something happened to him his dad.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: His heart was not in it. He wanted to see
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: what the world had to offer him. Yeah, so it
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: doesn't sound like it's Tyler Cameron. Um and uh, And
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: it definitely would be a little shocking if it's Greg,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: but I'm not going to be surprised if it's Greg.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: It sounds like though, um, that will be getting a
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: new Bachelor soon. Also, I mean I'm assuming within that
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: time we'll be announcing the new host of the show,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: which you know we've heard rumors of and rumors of rumors,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: but we don't know who it is yet. No, nobody
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: seemed to be solidified. So do you think that they
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: were just like they have no idea who the bachelor's
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: going to be, and they're just like playing us just
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: to see what the reaction was if Greg was the bachelor.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Just they really wanted to see the fan opinion. They've
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: they've they've done that in the past. I will say
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: that there's a pretty strong rumor out there um that
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: we can pretty much confidently support that Michael a was
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: asked and then denied because he wanted to stay home
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: with his kid, and like, yeah, what a cool What
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: a cool thing for him just to say, you know what,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: this is a great opportunity. I understand where it's coming from,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say no to it because I need
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: to be a dad uh strong rumor. I didn't see
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: this out there. I feel like you have inside sources
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: that I've told you this. Now listen. What I'm disappointed
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: about about this rumor is that why wouldn't they offer
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: him to shoot in Ohio like they shot Emily season
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: in North Carolina. It's a good question, Ashley, one that
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: we can't answer right now because I don't know why
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: they wouldn't, because it feels like they could and they
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: could have his son there and all that stuff, and
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: they could have done the schooling. I don't know. Well, hey,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: that's all the headlines we have for today. In a
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: couple of weeks, I'll be taking a week off. I'm
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: gonna be You are going to get the surgery is
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: surgery the week of September six, and then you'll be
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: fine walking down the aisle without a cane. That's what
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: they said. They said. They said it's about six weeks
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: of recovery. Uh, and then I'll be back to kind
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: of moving and walking. I just can't jump at my wedding,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: which really takes out Jess because and I choreography, so
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: we'll have to change up a bit. Um. But uh,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I don't even know if that was a joke or not.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I think it kind of was and wasn't. She was like, yeah,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: that we'll just change it up. Um. But yeah, I
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: end up tearing the m c l um a c
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: L meniscus. Uh and then partial PCL tear all of
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: it from like a pickup game of basketball of it.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: It's terrible. So Ben, I'm sorry. That sucks. That's a
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: lot of terrors and that's yeah, it's all good. It is.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I mean, hey, we're gonna make the boast of it.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: I am now retiring from the sports season of and uh,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: but I will probably take a week off of here
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: just to recover and then we'll be back. But hey, um, actually,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: another great episode, thanks uh for staying in there, great
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: conversation with you and Tinley. Thanks to Tinley for coming on. Um.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: And we'll be back very soon actually to break down
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: another episode out of Bachelor in Paradise. We'll be back tomorrow.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Oh man, We're back tomorrow. It's gonna have two episodes
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: this week. Uh, so we're gonna be back breaking it
