Summer’s winding down, but teacher hiring in the Lowcountry is heating up—districts are making major strides to fill classrooms. Vacancies statewide dropped 32% last year, and districts are pushing to keep that momentum. Charleston County has 32 openings, Berkeley County 73, Colleton 16, and Dorchester Districts Four and Two have 4 and 17 spots respectively.
