- 0:00Hello, folks, this is Princess, you are listening to the
- 0:04millennial Mustard Seed podcast. Thanks for listening, don't
- 0:08forget to share with your friends.
- 0:11Stopped wearing a very tough spot.
- 0:12I think that what we're doing right now is a great.
- 0:17Benefit and virtue because it's an underground between this
- 0:21whole corrupt information system media system.
- 0:25We claim to believe in a God who spoke the universe into
- 0:28existence and literally raised himself from the dead.
- 0:32And yet, we are not going to believe that anything else
- 0:35exists in the spirit realm, even though his word tells us that
- 0:38they do, Their bodies weren't permitted to go to sleep like
- 0:42humans do. And there were permitted to go
- 0:45to heaven. So they wander the Earth.
- 1:15Then people start to get weapons, they start to get
- 1:17armor, they start to build cities, they saw fortify their
- 1:19cities. Now God looks down and there's
- 1:22violence everywhere. The battle this war that we are
- 1:26at is not against each other. It's against these
- 1:29principalities in these rulers and these archons in the high
- 1:32places. It really worthwhile to read the
- 1:34Bible. fear is one of the primary drivers of mind control
- 1:39because we have to take every thought captive You're going to
- 1:47have a testimony that is a Justice case against the kingdom
- 1:52of darkness. Welcome to the MMS.
- 2:24I am Rod Smith, part-time, host, producer and creator of the
- 2:30millennial Mustard Seed podcast and you are listening to a
- 2:33fantastic interview that is done by my good friend, Aaron
- 2:37Christian Davis and he is interviewing the one and only
- 2:40holistic, Nick Nick has a podcast called the manic is also
- 2:46a very close personal friend of mine.
- 2:47He's actually been walking with me on this journey of Fringe
- 2:51Christianity for 14 years almost.
- 2:54So Nick has seen the ins and outs of my life and has
- 2:58literally locked arms with me through every different season
- 3:02that I've been through. And man these two get together.
- 3:05Aaron does an amazing job interviewing holistic Nicky as
- 3:09all the right questions, they're getting into Supernatural
- 3:11topics. They're getting into biblical
- 3:13masculinity, and there's so much conversation about toxic
- 3:17masculinity and we've really wanted to make an effort to set
- 3:20the record straight. What is biblical masculinity?
- 3:23look like, What does God telling us?
- 3:25This standard is because all of us are failing forward.
- 3:28The Bible says the righteous man falls seven times but he get
- 3:32back up the wicked fall once and they are no more.
- 3:35And so this episode is close to my heart man.
- 3:38I really love how Nick and Aaron just go back and forth and talk
- 3:41about some of the intricacies. The testimonial aspect of
- 3:46growing up with the right Role Models just learning and failing
- 3:50forward. The vulnerability It's just
- 3:54powerful. Let's do some quick maintenance.
- 3:57You guys, like, share and subscribe.

- 5:16encouraging. And asking for more of you to

- 5:23about what we're doing here on the podcast.
- 5:24We have so many glorious plans that are being talked about
- 5:30prayed about and worked out behind the scenes.
- 5:32If you guys knew the grand scope of what's coming, you would be

- 6:33I think it's about time to jump into this episode.
- 6:36I'm Brett. Are you guys ready?
- 6:45Alright, welcome back to the millennial Mustard Seed.
- 6:57I am your host, Aaron Christian Davis, I have the pleasure and
- 7:01the honor to be joined by my brother holistic, Nick long, who
- 7:08is a member of our Our prayer group that we usually meet on
- 7:13Thursday nights, but he does so much more behind the scenes.
- 7:16This is the perfect opportunity, to introduce you to him.
- 7:20And let him give a little bit of his testimony and what it is
- 7:24that he does. And Who he is?
- 7:29Nick brother. Welcome. thank you, brother, for
- 7:34inviting me on, giving me the space to Just kind of shed some
- 7:39light on holistic health and masculinity and all the other
- 7:43wild talks that we have as brother and so thank you for the
- 7:47opportunity. Absolutely, for those that may
- 7:52not be familiar with Nick long. I want to use this time and
- 7:56opportunity to ask you what it is that you do work wise and who
- 8:03is Nick long? as of right now, I Have been a
- 8:09personal trainer for. Let's see the past 17 years.
- 8:14I want to say since 2008. That Journey has evolved over
- 8:21time, you know, for the first 10 years or so.
- 8:24It was really just training, you know, your average client, you
- 8:30know, middle-aged woman menopause, woman, people who are
- 8:33just looking to lose weight, stuff like that.
- 8:35So, you know, I I've always had a passion for fitness and and
- 8:42sports I grew up playing three Sports football, baseball and
- 8:47basketball. And was just kind of born into
- 8:51it, you know, like my my dad, it's like, sports his life, you
- 8:55know, for him. And so he just wanted his kids
- 8:59to, to be multi-sport athletes and to be able to watch his His
- 9:04kids, you know, grow up and, and be successful in sports.
- 9:07So, yeah, just was immersed in it right from the rip and for
- 9:15me, you know, growing up it's like I had such bad anxiety as a
- 9:22kid, you know, it was really, really bad.
- 9:26And to backtrack even more. Like when I was, I think a month
- 9:30old some, my mom just reminded me of this story, you know, she
- 9:35was holding me I'm a month old. At this point, she was holding
- 9:39me in a wooden rocking chair on the phone.
- 9:42It's one of those old school phones, too.
- 9:44Right. I was born in. 88.
- 9:47So, you know, I guess it was a bad storm that was going on and
- 9:51whatnot. Anyway, make a long story short,
- 9:53lightning struck the house And literally, we both got struck at
- 10:00the same time. We got struck by lightning.
- 10:03While she was on the phone. Right?
- 10:05So it came through the phone up. The phone out of her hands.
- 10:10And my dad said that he seen this huge ball of light just
- 10:15answer the house, like just extremely large ball of light.
- 10:21And and he was like terrified. He was like what just happened
- 10:25and then he seen my mom and you know it was like the hair was
- 10:28standing up and there's just this shot.
- 10:31And so I was being held while that happened.
- 10:35So we both got struck by lightning and survived.
- 10:37That And the old they said, the only thing that saved us was the
- 10:42fact that she was sitting in a wooden rocking chair.
- 10:46Otherwise we both would not be here right now.
- 10:50To have something to do with grounding.
- 10:53I think so. Obviously the Lord preserved us
- 10:57for specific purpose, whether it was Satan trying to wipe us out,
- 11:03right? Then and there or who knows why
- 11:06that happened or maybe God was just literally infusing us with
- 11:13his ball of light with his power.
- 11:15He's doing his power, right? I mean, that'd be cool. so yeah,
- 11:20I was just reminded that just like, man, I wonder how that
- 11:24impacted my life just growing up and you know, I didn't know
- 11:28about it back then but um, I do know that my mom had really bad
- 11:34like postpartum depression after she had me like, the only out of
- 11:39one of five, the youngest out of five kids, and I was the only
- 11:44one that she had that, you know? And so, Now, knowing what can
- 11:50get passed on, you know, as far as genes and whatnot from your
- 11:54parents and not to mention the spirit realm and how Spirits can
- 11:58be transferred to one another. I believe the spirit of fear
- 12:04anxiety, depression, all that was transferred to me from my
- 12:08mom and what she was dealing with in that in that time period
- 12:12severe OCD, she had, you know, she would sit up and down in her
- 12:19bed, couldn't get out of bed. She'd have to do it like a
- 12:21hundred times flick. The lights switches 100 times
- 12:24like crazy stuff. Yeah, I mean and I had the same
- 12:28stuff. I had the same exact thing
- 12:31happened to me like I used to hire my boxers, right?
- 12:34Like all things I would iron my boxers, like, no, they can't
- 12:37have any wrinkles in them. I would swipe my armpits 20
- 12:41times with deodorant, had to be the same on each side.
- 12:44Couldn't be one off, right? Just crazy stuff.
- 12:48So, like that's kind of my upbringing.
- 12:53A lot of sports, that was really the only outage for me, where I
- 12:57kind of felt comfortable in my body.
- 13:00Right, because mentally, I was just jacked up, you know, I I
- 13:03was a scared kid. I was afraid of my own shadow
- 13:06and it seemed like I loved playing sports, but I hated
- 13:10getting hurt. Right.
- 13:12So my dad and I didn't realize what he was doing at the time,
- 13:15talk about messy Unity. He was teaching me at a very
- 13:20young age to embrace. The fears that I had.
- 13:25Right, he knew I did not like again.
- 13:27Hey, I was afraid. So what he do, he was my coach
- 13:31back in the day and pee wee football.
- 13:33What position? Did he put me?
- 13:36Quarterback. For all the guys are coming
- 13:39after you to try to knock you down.
- 13:41And, and yeah, the leader, right?
- 13:44So It was, he was trying to instill leadership in me and to
- 13:47run at my fears to have courage and those moments.
- 13:52When I wanted to just run, right?
- 13:54Like my mom and dad used to fight all the time and argue
- 13:58like he doesn't want. To go to football practice.
- 14:02He doesn't like getting hit. That's what my mom would say.
- 14:04My dad was like, no, he's going Like, I don't care what you say.
- 14:08He's going. Right thankful that my dad did
- 14:11that because had he cave to my mom or had, you know, my mom had
- 14:16more influence over that area of my life.
- 14:19Man, I I would still be bound by fear probably and not even know
- 14:24how to handle those situations. so, Praise God for my dad and
- 14:30what he was doing back then because I had no idea.
- 14:33So there, I was leading, you know, my football team.
- 14:37I was the smallest kid on the field.
- 14:39You know, scrawny scared. And yet I'm calling out plays.
- 14:45I'm running the offense, you know, I was the only one I think
- 14:49that could actually remember the plays.
- 14:51So yeah all so be other reason why I was the one playing
- 14:55quarterback because I don't think anyone else wanted to
- 14:58remember the place. Um, so so yeah, it was just a
- 15:03lot of anxiety but Sports was somewhat comfortable for me
- 15:07because I was pretty athletic. So he was a bit of an outlet for
- 15:12me. But then once High School sports
- 15:16ended, it was like a knew I wasn't going on to play
- 15:18Collegiate Sports. And it's like, oh crap.
- 15:23Now what? you know, like that was that was
- 15:26my go-to to like, escape the anxious thoughts and the Social
- 15:31awkwardness that I dealt with, you know, I'm very introverted.
- 15:35I I had friends I was somewhat in the popular crowd but um just
- 15:42I don't know, never felt like I fit in.
- 15:45And it was just my anxiety, really?
- 15:48Just didn't know how to interact with people, you know, like,
- 15:50what do I say? You know, what do I say to not
- 15:53sound stupid? I was that kid in school, where
- 15:56I would sit in the back of the room, purposefully, and
- 16:00literally try to hide behind people.
- 16:02So, the teacher didn't see me. So, like to call Right.
- 16:05So I wouldn't raise my hand for anything.
- 16:07I wouldn't ask any questions even though, like the stuff I'm
- 16:11learning, I don't understand. And I probably should be asking
- 16:13the teacher how to solve this, you know what I mean?
- 16:17But I didn't, because I was just anxious all the time and I was
- 16:22like, man. If I say something stupid or ask
- 16:24it, dumb question. Everyone's gonna laugh and make
- 16:26fun of me. And so the thought of that just
- 16:30paralyzed me. Right.
- 16:33That that's in a nutshell. What my upbringing was right?
- 16:37Like, yeah, I had loving parents, but they they argued
- 16:42all the time. So I had emotional issues with
- 16:44that. I'd be up in my bed room, just
- 16:47tears in my eyes thinking they're going to divorce and
- 16:50leave each other and then the next day everything would be
- 16:52totally fine. Nothing like nothing happened.
- 16:55And so, it's just an up-and-down emotional roller, coaster for
- 16:59me. That scarred me for years, just
- 17:02insecure, no stability, no security.
- 17:06Right? And and I obviously didn't have
- 17:09it within myself. I was battling my own demons.
- 17:11You know what I mean? There was a point throughout
- 17:14High School where I legit wanted to take my life.
- 17:17I'm like, I do not belong here, like I'm different and everyone
- 17:21else. This is this is not fun for me.
- 17:24This this thing called life is not fun for me.
- 17:27You know what I mean? I was in place.
- 17:29Um, But, you know, after high school, I got into working out
- 17:36and, and that became my new outlet.
- 17:39Right now, I started seeing changes in my body and getting
- 17:43stronger and that just naturally developed more confidence.
- 17:47Which was huge for me. Like, that's all I've been
- 17:51striving for it. Like my whole life just just
- 17:54don't sliver of confidence. Like, I don't even want the
- 17:57whole thing. Just give me a taste.
- 18:00You know me because I do what it tastes like.
- 18:03I probably could have gone so far in sports.
- 18:06Had I had to mental aspects. The the sports psychology, the
- 18:12confidence, I had zero confidence in my abilities.
- 18:17And I was legit athletic, I was really good at sports.
- 18:22So, what was it that kind of got you through all this.
- 18:26I mean you got struck by lightning.
- 18:28Right. You struggle with You know,
- 18:32self-image confidence. So what was it?
- 18:35That gave you that confidence with the working out.
- 18:38That's what really helped me a lot because I realized when my
- 18:45body started changing I was like man I think I want to make a
- 18:48lifestyle of this, you know, I really like this.
- 18:51I like how it makes me feel. I like the endorphins that flow
- 18:54after a workout. I like the pump where I, you
- 18:58know, even if it just lasts for an hour, it's like, like again
- 19:02that sliver of confidence and like, strength that I never felt
- 19:06just ever. You know, I just felt weak and
- 19:10inferior to everyone else all my friends.
- 19:13Like I always felt inferior. Like I'm less than I'm not good
- 19:18enough. And, and the workouts were an
- 19:21outlet for me to escape. Now, knowing that it's, it's a
- 19:26temporary fix. Although a healthy one is still
- 19:30temporary. And that's what pulled me
- 19:33through a lot of my college Years.
- 19:35You know, I graduated with a degree in sport management.
- 19:40And I realized that that point I wanted to become a personal
- 19:45trainer. I really wanted to make it a
- 19:47career because I was able to transform my own.
- 19:52Body and and develop some confidence that I thought wasn't
- 19:57possible. I got to help people with this,
- 20:00this is, this is awesome, you know, so that's me on that path
- 20:05where I just got certified as a personal trainer and you know,
- 20:10God has a funny way of You know, he put me in an industry where I
- 20:17had to come out of my shell. I have no show.
- 20:19I had no choice. You know what I mean?
- 20:21It's like when you walk into a gym first off, it's like
- 20:25egocentric. You know what I mean?
- 20:27There's there's are right, so you have that tension, right?
- 20:32When you walk through the doors of motion, I'm not gonna say all
- 20:35gyms are that way. But most are And I've been in a
- 20:39lot of them. Um, And so, you know, you have
- 20:43to feel from that and then all eyes are really watching you,
- 20:47you know, when when I'm working with a client 101, I'm in a big
- 20:51corporate gym. There's a lot of people working
- 20:53out specialty, Monday night prime time, our like 5:30 6:00
- 20:57The gym is mobbed. and so you're work around people and and not
- 21:02feel anxious or like man, I hope I'm I hope this looks good from
- 21:08the outside looking in. You know, I hope what I'm doing
- 21:11with my client is okay. And so I always just had that
- 21:15feeling of like, a wonder what other people are thinking. you
- 21:19know, and it was always this like seeking validation from
- 21:23other people and you know, but God really He used it and the
- 21:30uncomfortable nest of being in that setting.
- 21:33He really used it to train me. I had no idea at the time what
- 21:37was happening, but he's so intelligent with his design and
- 21:41how he orchestrates things. Because at that point my life, I
- 21:48needed, I needed. I needed a miracle to happen,
- 21:51you know, to shift me and pull me out of the pit.
- 21:56Hmm. Well, I mean, the Bible says
- 21:59that we were made for such a time as this, I know, me and Rod
- 22:03have been trying to get you to have, you know, a platform
- 22:06because you are an amazing voice.
- 22:09For those that don't really know Nick.
- 22:11He is one of the, the leaders of the men of iron group that we
- 22:15are a part of and I am very, very blessed to be a part of it.
- 22:18And I'm honored to have met Nick this this past weekend or two
- 22:24weeks ago now, right? At the the God and guns of that.
- 22:28but, You know feeling you out Nick and being able to you know,
- 22:33talk to you and get to know you over the last year.
- 22:35And then finally meeting you a couple weeks ago you know I I
- 22:38kind of viewed you as somebody that really walks the walk
- 22:42before you talk the talk. So now here we are talking to
- 22:47talk. Praise God.
- 22:49Yeah, just definitely somebody that I I'm very grateful to have
- 22:53in my life, everything is biblically sound and I think
- 22:58we're gonna jump into a topic that he is very, very familiar
- 23:02with and that would be biblical masculinity.
- 23:06I'm gonna open up with a Bible. Verse from First Corinthians
- 23:11chapter 16 verse 13. It says Be watchful stand firm
- 23:18in the faith. Act like men.
- 23:20Be strong. Let all that you do be done in
- 23:26love. So there's a lot there to unpack
- 23:29and it's all very, very relevant to what we have going on in the
- 23:33times that we live in. So we live in a world that says
- 23:36toxic masculinity is one of the biggest problems that we face
- 23:41right now, don't watch. So it says Be watchful, but the
- 23:45world tells us not to watch her pay attention, right?
- 23:48Just stare at your phone's stare at the TV, all these things, be
- 23:52strong. No, that's not good either.
- 23:56And then let all that you do be done in love.
- 24:00So the banner over our group and everything that we try to do is
- 24:05men is never underestimate the power of love.
- 24:09So Nick, I know that's a lot to unpack right now, I just want to
- 24:13toss you the microphone real quick and we can take it step by
- 24:16step and just tell me what you think about any of those topics.
- 24:21Yeah, it's like there's so many different ways we could go with
- 24:24it. I'll just I guess start out with
- 24:29my own. Personal experience, I think
- 24:33that's best. So, you know, I I obviously
- 24:38never knew what it was like to be a man or didn't really have
- 24:42any sort of initiation protocol, you know, you have these
- 24:45cultures in other countries and they They have these things in
- 24:50place. They actually went a boy
- 24:53reaches, a certain age. They will either take him out of
- 24:58the house. Mostly most times it's they have
- 25:03to separate the boys from the mother.
- 25:06Right? Because the mother is like the
- 25:11the young boys world like growing up in the early, like
- 25:15the mom is the nurturer. She's the one that's running the
- 25:19house. Typically, taking care of all
- 25:22that stuff. Making sure the kids are fed and
- 25:24it's like, To avoid the mom is everything but then it's an
- 25:31interesting thing happens when a boy starts hitting puberty you
- 25:35know, right around that age range.
- 25:37Um coming into the teenage years is usually when things start to
- 25:42shift and You know as a boy you don't quite know what to do with
- 25:48that. You know, if hormones are
- 25:49changing, you're getting testosterone, you're getting
- 25:51armpit hair and you know facial hair and it's like man, there's
- 25:55a lot of changes that go on. and so here in America, it's like,
- 26:04it's almost like, The father, a lot of the fathers are out of
- 26:08the home, right? So the mom is there taking care
- 26:12of all the kids. So, as a boy, So being in a home
- 26:18where it's just the mom and no, father figure.
- 26:22No male role model in, you know, in your life, there's a void,
- 26:28there's an emptiness, right? Because I don't know who said it
- 26:33might be in the Wild at Heart book, but um, it was like
- 26:37masculinity bestows messy Unity. And femininity can never be so
- 26:44masculinity. So we as men now but as young
- 26:48boys, Could never learn what it means to be a man from your
- 26:53mother, or from your sister, or another woman, right?
- 26:57You're, you're partner your wife, you'll never be able to
- 27:02learn what it means to be a man from another woman.
- 27:04It's impossible. It's no offense to women.
- 27:07It's just what it is, yes, right?
- 27:10So, You know. Being obviously with my dad
- 27:17growing up, he was working a lot.
- 27:20Yes, he kind of coached Us in sports and so he taught us some
- 27:24things things with that. But as far as other life skills,
- 27:27like, you know, how to change a tire, or cut the grass, or You
- 27:34know, how to clean this? How to fix that, right?
- 27:37Like I had zero background of that, no knowledge whatsoever.
- 27:42There was no initiation process and that's what I think is
- 27:47missing in our society, especially here in America.
- 27:51Is that? Boys are not being challenged,
- 27:54they're not being separated from the mom.
- 27:57Right? For a period of time.
- 27:59However, long that is to be initiated Right.
- 28:03And I think about the group of guys that we now have, you know,
- 28:09that the Lord has brought together and it's like, this is
- 28:13been such a prayer of mine, you know, for men to rise up and to
- 28:18assume our role in society as leaders.
- 28:22Right. God created man to be the head
- 28:25of woman. And the head of every man is
- 28:30Christ and the head of Christ. So, that's the divine order.
- 28:35Right wrong in different like it lumped.
- 28:38It does not matter. That's fact that's in the Bible.
- 28:41You can read it. Right, again, not a knock on
- 28:47women or anyone else. It's literally just how God
- 28:51designed it. Yeah, I mean it's okay to like
- 28:54have Heavenly roles, right? I mean like the designer the
- 28:57Creator designed us for, you know, specific characteristics
- 29:03and purposes. So we live in a world.
- 29:05Do you think that the adversary uses that against us that he
- 29:08twists Scripture and creation and trees confusing us, and
- 29:13gives us different roles. That gets everything, kind of
- 29:16all out of whack. What would you say about that?
- 29:18Absolutely and and I mean it all it all really started back in
- 29:22the garden. You know, that that's when it
- 29:25all started and and what happened you know like break
- 29:28that down in its simplest of forms, right?
- 29:30So you know, Satan comes. to Adam and Eve and and ask them,
- 29:37you know, well Why, why can you not eat of of this tree, you
- 29:43know? And you know they obviously said
- 29:48well God said we can't. And he gets them to question.
- 29:52He gets them to ponder. You know, did he really say that
- 29:56exactly? Is that really true?
- 29:59And and so obviously you know they end up eating the fruit.
- 30:04But but how what was the setting like?
- 30:07How did that all go down? Because he obviously It seemed
- 30:11like the dialogue was mainly between he and the woman.
- 30:15Where was Adam in this picture? Right?
- 30:19I have to assume or believed that he was standing right there
- 30:23next to his wife Eve. Just listening to the whole
- 30:27dialogue. Go down.
- 30:29Not saying a word. Because remember, God's the one
- 30:34that gave adam the Commandment not Eve.
- 30:38He gave. So he knew even though Eve knew
- 30:44and repeated it back to Satan initially, So at some point, I
- 30:49don't know if Adam and Eve had that conversation where Adam
- 30:52told Eve the hey we could eat of everything but this one.
- 30:55No it's all off limits. um, And so Adam stood there.
- 31:02Knowing the command didn't step in.
- 31:06Right heeded, the voice of his wife. and because of that, Now,
- 31:13women may hear that, and say well, you're coming at women.
- 31:16No, that's not it. It's, it's just the fact that As
- 31:23men who got created to be leaders, he did not take the
- 31:28lead there. He let the woman take the lead
- 31:31and they both fell because of it.
- 31:34Right. Not saying that women can't lead
- 31:36at times. Women can be phenomenally
- 31:40leaders. And life calls for that at
- 31:43times. But the Divine Purpose and Order
- 31:47of how God designed it. Is for the man to take the lead.
- 31:51And we see the outcome of what happens when a man does not take
- 31:55the lead. Yeah.
- 31:58There's plenty of scripture to back that up, I mean, Ephesians
- 32:015:25, I'm sure all of our listeners are pretty familiar
- 32:05with as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
- 32:09Implying a sacrificial in protective love.
- 32:13So perhaps, you know, we're kind of reaping the I don't know, the
- 32:20the consequences of not protecting our wives and not
- 32:23protecting women. And in a world that, you know,
- 32:26we build women up and feminism and stuff like it's again, we're
- 32:32not attacking women. Women are amazing.
- 32:35I mean, there's certain things that women can do that men.
- 32:38Cannot absolutely, there's certain things that men can do
- 32:42that women cannot and that's okay.
- 32:44And I think Pride is something that definitely gets in the way
- 32:48of that and I think humility is something that we all need to
- 32:53remind ourselves that to look outside of ourselves and realize
- 32:57that God created us for a certain purpose and like there's
- 33:00nothing wrong with that and by doing these things and saying
- 33:03yes and being intentional about it that gives God glory.
- 33:07Yeah. And it's true and, and going
- 33:10back to your question, you know. Yes Satan does twist, you know
- 33:15the truth because You know, he purposely went to the woman, you
- 33:20know, he was pulling her out of a role that she was not supposed
- 33:24to be in. Right.
- 33:26She was not supposed to be in that role and he purposely
- 33:29pulled her into that. Because he knows, right?
- 33:33He knows, okay, if I take the man out of the picture, Now I
- 33:39can really have influence, right?
- 33:41It's no different than today. Pull the father out of the
- 33:44house. And watch what happens to
- 33:47exactly. It's no different today.
- 33:50It all goes back to the first sin and how it all started back
- 33:54in Genesis back in the garden. Right Satan.
- 33:58It's it's an old trick that he still uses today.
- 34:00It's no different. and so it's okay, twist the identity of You
- 34:07know, women becoming more masculine and being in more of a
- 34:11manly role you know, she's taking the lead.
- 34:13Now he's now on the back burner and um, You just have confusion
- 34:19and chaos and sin. Yes, there's nothing new Under
- 34:24the Sun, right? I know we talked about this the
- 34:26other night. Satan's up to his old tricks.
- 34:31But, you know, as we've discussed on this podcast, it's
- 34:35all just repackaged and represented represented
- 34:39represented whatever you want to call it, you know, repackaged,
- 34:42you know, now it's feminism. Now it's my body, my choice.
- 34:47You know. the glass ceiling call it what you will, you know again
- 34:52we love women but you know I remember the first time that I
- 34:56talked to rod You know, I was just concerned about, like, all
- 35:01the ways that the adversary. basically gets us to in-fight
- 35:07with each other, whether it be theology, whether it be
- 35:10denomination, whether it be, what is a woman Yeah, that's a
- 35:14real question. That is actually been presented
- 35:17in the last couple years. Do you guys all remember that we
- 35:20literally were asking the question.
- 35:24What is a woman? What kind, what kind of times
- 35:28are we living in neck? So where we can't even answer
- 35:32that question. We're having debates in Congress
- 35:35asking what a woman is. What do you think?
- 35:40Yeah, I think I don't know where it's at in Isaiah but it I think
- 35:47it's says, you know, that they will they will call evil good
- 35:51and good evil. Right, so it'll be completely
- 35:54inverted. So what was once good is now
- 35:58considered evil? Well what was once evil is now
- 36:01considered good. Right?
- 36:04And so that that's that's where we're at, but you could, you
- 36:09could feel the shifts happening because God is Raising men up.
- 36:16And I think it has to start with the men.
- 36:18Women have been carrying the torch all of this time.
- 36:22I don't even know for how long but I do know that's been the
- 36:27reality. Women are the ones dragging the
- 36:30husbands to church, right? Women are the ones who are in
- 36:34the prayer, closet in the War Room fighting for their kids in
- 36:38prayer, right? So they, they've been doing
- 36:40their part, they've been holding it down and that's I Want To
- 36:44Praise women for that. And thank God for women who are
- 36:49doing that have been. um, now, we're entering a time frame
- 36:55where if men don't rise up now. It's like at the point of no
- 37:02return type thing. And I see the shifts happening,
- 37:06I feel it tangibly happening. I'm literally talking with men,
- 37:10like yourself. The men of iron group and I'm
- 37:14sure there's many others across the whole world that are doing
- 37:18exactly what we're doing. At the same time and we have no
- 37:22recollection or knowledge of it, we're just in our little bubble.
- 37:26Doing what God's calling us to do and all along.
- 37:30He's obviously the big picture is all of these are just going
- 37:36to start to fall into place and we're going to find ourselves
- 37:40having an army of men. Who are strong leaders who are
- 37:45courageous, who are bold and strong in the face of evil.
- 37:49Right? Who are not going to settle for
- 37:52living in a society that's been just complete debauchery, and,
- 37:58and confusion, and identity crisis, and all know.
- 38:02We're, we're literally at a point now, where, man.
- 38:05We're, we're assuming our position in the army of Christ.
- 38:10And I take that role seriously, you know, I don't I don't see
- 38:14that as a game. I see it as this.
- 38:16This is a fight. This is a daily battle.
- 38:19What is Paul say? Fight the good fight of fate.
- 38:23Yes. It's a fight of fate.
- 38:27Every day, when we wake up, we're either choosing Faith or
- 38:30fear. The Bible says, what is it 360
- 38:34times not to live in fear? And I think the the verse that
- 38:38you were referring to Isaiah chapter 5, verse 20, woe unto
- 38:44them that call evil good and good evil.
- 38:47That Darkness for light and light for darkness that bitter
- 38:53for sweet and Sweet for bitter. So that's as it.
- 38:57All right there that we live in an inverted world and you know I
- 39:02think we need to be intentional just for the very breath in our
- 39:06lungs, every single morning obviously.
- 39:08And I know we talked about things like this but also love
- 39:12so I kind of want to dive into You know, like what is biblical
- 39:18masculinity? You know, we talked about like
- 39:21men need to rise up and be men. Like what does that mean?
- 39:24Does that mean that I need to like bump my chest and have my
- 39:28Battle Cry or like tell my wife like you know, you need to do
- 39:32this or else or what, you know, I mean, what what would your
- 39:37take on that beat? I think the first thing that
- 39:40comes to my mind is, Having like a accountability, you know, be
- 39:46being accountable to to another man.
- 39:49On the I can only speak from experience.
- 39:53When I make myself seen, when I when I hold myself accountable
- 39:57to another man when I confess things that I don't really like
- 40:01to confess to to anyone else. And I have that fellow brother
- 40:06or Brethren praying for me. holding me up, encouraging me,
- 40:11and also challenging me at the same time like, hey, you know,
- 40:15This is a time where you kind of need to suck it up and you need
- 40:18you need to lean into this, right?
- 40:21So I think it's when we look at the Bible and we see these
- 40:28Mighty Men, That God used. It's like there was always
- 40:32another man kind of by their side.
- 40:36At least from what I read, you know, I think of like David was
- 40:40Jonathan right? I think of, you know, Paul and
- 40:45Silas right? And you have these pictures of
- 40:51Moses and Aaron, right? Like you have this where there's
- 40:55there's like a mentor and a protege kind of relationship.
- 41:01Elijah and Elijah, right? Yes, yes.
- 41:05All of these contrasts in in the Bible for men. and so, obviously
- 41:12the Lord Wants that for us. And and he he's like well this
- 41:18is true. Masculinity, this you, you need
- 41:22at least one other man in your life.
- 41:26That is. Above you, that that knows more
- 41:30than you that has more wisdom than you has more experience
- 41:32than you that you're holding yourself accountable to, right?
- 41:36So I think you follow every single thing he says and does.
- 41:40But to subject or submit yourself to someone like that.
- 41:46I think is is true masculinity? I think that's humility.
- 41:50Right, like think of guys and think of how how egotistical and
- 41:55prideful we can be. I mean it's it's like second
- 41:57nature. It's seems like most days,
- 41:59right? Like Pride, just Rises up.
- 42:01And I'm sure for women, too. Yes.
- 42:04But for men, like, we're like independent, right.
- 42:08And we're like, go getters and and no, I don't need help.
- 42:12You know, don't help me. Um, and yet we know, deep down
- 42:17we absolutely need help. With just not willing to admit
- 42:22it a lot of times. So the humility aspect, I think
- 42:26is a big part of true biblical masculinity absolutely.
- 42:32Is it okay to cry as a man? Absolutely.
- 42:35Yeah. yeah, there's there's been so many seasons of life for for
- 42:40me, just, Crying my eyes out to sleep, you know, just wetting my
- 42:45pillow with tears, not knowing what direction to go in life.
- 42:49Not not knowing how I'm getting out of the situation.
- 42:53And and and also crying, you know, to other men. um, you
- 43:00know, that that was very hard for me, but when that when I
- 43:03first did that, I don't even remember when that was, but you
- 43:08know, I grew up with the father who You know, it's like just
- 43:13don't show emotion, you know, like don't don't show weakness,
- 43:16right? Like be a man. you know, and we
- 43:20see that with a lot of the movies back in the day and, you
- 43:24know, just Be a man. Don't cry, you know, but
- 43:28there's, there's something very important that happens when we
- 43:32cry. And to know that in scripture,
- 43:35the Lord says that he bottles up our tears save Concepts, right?
- 43:40Like I, I often think of that from time, what is to do with
- 43:44that bottle of Tears? Like why?
- 43:47Why are you bottling them up? What do you preserving them for?
- 43:51Because the bottle something that means it's like I'm
- 43:54assuming it's being preserved. Yeah, to maybe be used at a
- 43:59later date. Right.
- 44:01So like how are you going to use those tears?
- 44:04From those horrific seasons in my life.
- 44:08Where I didn't know who I was or where I was going.
- 44:11What are you gonna do with that? Lord.
- 44:15Yeah. Um, let's see.
- 44:19What is that? That's not Revelation.
- 44:23Is it know, is that second King Kings?
- 44:28I'm not sure, actually, I think it's second one station but I, I
- 44:33want to say it might be in the Old Testament.
- 44:36Yeah, it say that. Did he say that in one of his
- 44:39songs? I think you might be right
- 44:42actually, let's see. Let's look it up.
- 44:44Something that David would have would have said, oh absolutely.
- 44:49But what a relationship he and the Lord had you know, just just
- 44:53reading the Psalms I mean, that, that to me is like That's the
- 44:59picture. of like what a real relationship with the Lord
- 45:04should look like, you know what I mean?
- 45:06Just he says roll and as real as he could possibly be Just
- 45:13stinging to the Lord crying to the Lord frustrated running for
- 45:17his life like literally telling the Lord everything.
- 45:21That's going on in his life. And it's like, well, God already
- 45:26knows. But yet David had such a
- 45:29closeness. I mean, is that he was a man
- 45:32after God's Own Heart. What does that mean?
- 45:35What does it mean to be a man after God's heart?
- 45:40Right, like I said, that's an interesting thought. when I
- 45:44read, I'm like Here, he was absolutely a man after God's
- 45:48heart, the way he was talking and dialoguing with the Lord.
- 45:52Like, that's what I want. I want that that nakedness.
- 45:56I want that unashamed raw real transparent authentic.
- 46:01I'm telling you exactly how I feel in this moment Lord,
- 46:04whether it's wrong or right, I'm not going to sugar coat it with
- 46:08a nice little prayer because we love doing that as Christians,
- 46:11right? We love, like, changing the way
- 46:14we talk because we're in prayer mode, right?
- 46:17So I got like, make it sound good because I'm talking to the
- 46:20Lord, and it's like, I gotta look good before and we're sound
- 46:23good before him. When, in all reality, he's like,
- 46:26You're jacked up right now. And your piss just tell me.
- 46:28Yeah, just tell me, I'll fix it for you.
- 46:32I can't fix it for you if you don't be real with me and tell
- 46:36me. Don't don't, you know.
- 46:39Yeah, what is it say? What's that scripture?
- 46:43I think he has in Proverbs he who covers his sins will not
- 46:47Prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have
- 46:51mercy. And don't he is man love.
- 46:55Yes, talk about the Wild at Heart book.
- 46:59Which John Eldredge? He hit that right on the money.
- 47:01Yes, sir. Right.
- 47:05How many imposters do we have as men walking around this world?
- 47:10I was one of them, I might still be one of them at times.
- 47:12I don't know. You know what I mean?
- 47:16All I know is I don't want to be exactly.
- 47:19I'm at a point now where I'm, I'm like, Slowly.
- 47:22But surely seeking less and less validation from other people.
- 47:25And, and I'm not saying I'm there yet, but I'm saying, the
- 47:29Lord has really worked in me to the point where, hey, you get
- 47:35what you get with me, you know what I mean?
- 47:37I'm not saying I'm never gonna change my ways because I want
- 47:40the Lord to transform me. That's sanctification right?
- 47:43Yes, apple tree. I don't want to stay as a little
- 47:47sapling. I want to grow and I want to
- 47:49Bear a lot of fruit. Yeah, I mean I want to be a
- 47:52mature apple tree. That provides food for other
- 47:55people to enjoy. Right.
- 47:57Yeah. So you know, that's
- 48:00sanctification. but I'm at a point where it's like, hey, I'm
- 48:05not, I'm not gonna tell you certain things or sound a
- 48:08certain way, just so you like me and accept me.
- 48:12Right. Exactly.
- 48:14And I think, I'm getting back to True biblical masculinity.
- 48:19It's We need to be real. We need to stop being imposters
- 48:24and and hypocrites and talk about walking the walk.
- 48:28Right. It's like we talk a great game.
- 48:30We want to talk. It's almost like The louder.
- 48:34Someone is the more insecure. They are You know, that's
- 48:39something that the Lord I think, has had me observe over the
- 48:42years with people projection, you have to be overly excessive
- 48:48with your your dialogue, or your, how you carry yourself.
- 48:53Like that is a facade that that is a front that you're putting
- 48:57on because what's underlying? That is fear.
- 49:02Right? You're afraid you have a fear of
- 49:04rejection. You don't want to be rejected so
- 49:07you have to put on this Macho Man front or this.
- 49:12Just stop you know where that's not the real you. and I think
- 49:18we're at a point now where we can't afford to play games like
- 49:22this and as met, I'm just speaking for men.
- 49:25Yes, you know, it's it's time to be real with each other as men
- 49:31like, hey, man, I I masturbated last night, I didn't want to,
- 49:36but I did. Yeah, did you pray for me?
- 49:40Yeah. I mean we need real
- 49:42conversations like that because not enough of that is happening
- 49:45in the church. Where it's like you don't feel
- 49:47comfortable going to the pastor or speaking out about it because
- 49:50you feel ashamed or like? No one else is struggling with
- 49:53that. Just me when in all reality 90%
- 49:56of the church is probably Bill. so being transparent and
- 50:03authentic and real with yourself and with others, Is huge.
- 50:09Absolutely. So accountability, would
- 50:11definitely be a huge thing. I will say this personally, you
- 50:18know, meeting you men and being able to speak my mind and be
- 50:22able to fellowship and get things out there.
- 50:24You know, I'll say I'm not gonna say too much but just our event,
- 50:28two weeks ago, God and guns. I mean, it was honestly, it was
- 50:32like the perfect timing. Exactly.
- 50:34What I needed in my life. You know, we all go through hard
- 50:38times, trials and tribulations. But that was one of the biggest
- 50:43messages, you know, love being number one, but accountability
- 50:48and just authenticity right transparency.
- 50:54Reliability. Showing up for each other.
- 50:57So I think it's very, very important and then repentance,
- 51:00you know, we can talk about it in the church talks about like,
- 51:03repent, repent, repent, right, what is true repentance?
- 51:06Is it just asking God for forgiveness or it?
- 51:09Is it complete lifestyle change? Is it dying to yourself?
- 51:13Is it like, literally just changing everything that you are
- 51:18and being like David and putting pleasing the Lord, right?
- 51:22I mean, he prayed all the time, we pray all the time.
- 51:26Let's talk about the power of prayer, you know, we did a lot
- 51:29of that, we do a lot of that, you know, on a weekly basis
- 51:32daily basis, but you know, we had the opportunity.
- 51:36Praise God to be able to do that in person.
- 51:39Is there something to say about the power of prayer?
- 51:41What's the difference between Praying in secret and then
- 51:47praying with two or more. Yeah.
- 51:52So I'll drop a little gem Revelation that the lord gave
- 51:57me. I'm trying to think one that was
- 52:00maybe a year ago now if that Um I was just saying, you know,
- 52:06normal quiet time, do you know, just fellowship with the Lord?
- 52:09And I don't know if I can't remember if I was reading or
- 52:13praying or what was happening, but I heard the Lord speak five
- 52:17words to me and it was really powerful.
- 52:21And it's it. All every word starts with the
- 52:24letter p. And and so when I heard I was
- 52:27like wow that's really interesting.
- 52:29Um, so the five words that he said was Private prayer produces
- 52:35Public Power. Right.
- 52:40Now. I don't know where it is in
- 52:44Matthew. Um, I it's wherever he was
- 52:48teaching about the Lord's Prayer.
- 52:50I don't know if that was like, Matthew, 6 or um, but I know
- 52:56after he taught the Lord's Prayer, six nine.
- 53:03Six nine. Yeah, yeah.
- 53:05Matthew 6:9. okay, so before I'm sorry, not answering it was
- 53:12before he He, the disciples had asked him to teach us to pray
- 53:17and then he told them the Lord's Prayer.
- 53:19So, before that it says, It says in verse 6, Matthew 6:6. but
- 53:29now, when thou prayest enter into thy closet, and when thou
- 53:33has shut the door prayed as thy father, which is in secret, And
- 53:37thy father would see that secret shall reward the openly.
- 53:41Right? So that was the scripture that
- 53:43was connected to those five words and he said to me private
- 53:46prayer, produces Public Power. right, if you are behind closed,
- 53:53doors in your war room, in your secret player, prayer closet,
- 53:55wherever that is, And you're, you're communing with the Lord,
- 54:00you're talking to him, you're having dialogue with him, you're
- 54:03not being religious, you know, you're not putting on the front.
- 54:07You're communing with him right in the secret place.
- 54:12He's saying I will reward you openly. and it makes me wonder
- 54:17like, The power of prayer, right?
- 54:21So, You see throughout history? Mighty men and women of God
- 54:28doing Mighty exploits, right? But it's almost like almost
- 54:32seems like shorts or it's like little pockets.
- 54:34Like it's not widespread, it's not like everyone is doing it.
- 54:39You don't see Miracles all the time, it's like, hit or miss.
- 54:43You know, when, when people are praying for someone laying hands
- 54:46on the sick, attempting to cast demons out of people, it's like,
- 54:51it doesn't necessarily work all the time.
- 54:54Right, or maybe at least in that moment, it didn't.
- 54:58Um so it's like well why you know?
- 55:01And I've always thought about these five words.
- 55:06And and try to apply it to that, like, okay. if, if I'm praying a
- 55:13lot in private, when I'm walking in Walmart, or a Costco, or I'm
- 55:20at the gym, Right. I should be walking with a
- 55:24certain level of power. I mean, that's what he said.
- 55:28I have give you power dunamis, Dynamite power to trample on
- 55:34serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.
- 55:37Um, so, it's almost like, The level of power that we have in
- 55:45public wherever we're going. Is in direct connection to the
- 55:50amount of time. I shouldn't say amount of time.
- 55:53Time isn't necessarily an indicator of Prayer.
- 55:59There's quality prayer and then there's quantity prayer.
- 56:03Yes, they're needed. Right?
- 56:05There's there's times where, hey, if the holy spirit is
- 56:08leading you to pray for eight hours straight.
- 56:12By all means, you know what I mean?
- 56:15But there's also times where you may pray for one minute and it
- 56:19could be the most powerful prayer you've ever prayed in
- 56:21your life. Right?
- 56:23Think of the different modalities of Fitness.
- 56:25I'm a fitness guy, right? So, here's the action with
- 56:28prayer. The Lord also taught me this.
- 56:33What's hit training? H i i t stands for high
- 56:38intensity interval training, right?
- 56:40Very widespread, most people know about it.
- 56:44It's a very Awesome form of training.
- 56:47I use it personally for my clients all the time.
- 56:53He spoke to words. He's like changed that last
- 56:55letter into a p. And make it say high intensity
- 57:00interval praying. Interesting concept.
- 57:06So there are times where I personally have experienced
- 57:09this, where I'm in prayer, just normal, casual prayer, and all
- 57:14of a sudden, boom, I'm shifted and I am like Just going in.
- 57:21Like a hit workout. Where you're literally, you're
- 57:25doing a set of say, squat, jumps or push-ups for 20 seconds, as
- 57:30hard as you can. You are literally trying to
- 57:33exhaust your muscles for that 20 second period and get as much as
- 57:37possible. And then you rest for 10 seconds
- 57:40and then you go again and it's this stop and go.
- 57:44Right. And it's like, I've experienced
- 57:48that in prayer. where I've had these high intensity interval,
- 57:52praying, moments, where I know I'm connecting Like you ever
- 57:57have those prayers where like you just know you're breaking
- 58:01through. Oh yeah, like you are in the
- 58:05throne room. Everything you're saying is just
- 58:08resonating. It's connecting, you're hitting
- 58:11the target like bullseye. Yeah.
- 58:14And there's other times where it's like, it's just bouncing
- 58:17off the ceiling and you're like, what's happening?
- 58:19What is nothing getting through? Like I have no prayers to pray.
- 58:22I don't even want to pray. All right, bizarre.
- 58:27Um, but it's an interesting concept when you're talking
- 58:32about walking around in public with a certain level of power.
- 58:38Hey, that the prerequisite to that.
- 58:41Is spending time in secret with the father.
- 58:46Jesus showed this, he was the perfect example of it.
- 58:49Everyone was trying to get his attention, right?
- 58:52Word was spreading that he was Healing.
- 58:55The Sick diseases that doctors say were incurable demons.
- 59:01Cast out of people people who were bound and change that were
- 59:05literally lunatics that no one could contain and he just one
- 59:09word, boom, set free. and so he was obviously getting extremely
- 59:14famous and popular to all the people that were there in the
- 59:18Villages and the towns that he was going to And, and he knew.
- 59:25He had to go away. Right?
- 59:29All of a sudden you were just reading scripture like and she's
- 59:32just went into the mountain to pray.
- 59:35And he was there all night. Or He Slipped Away or he he had
- 59:40the disciples. Don't know, make sure that the
- 59:44multitudes are, make sure they leave we need our time now.
- 59:49You know, in private. so, so he obviously knew that there was a
- 59:55connection with the power that he held In public.
- 1:00:01To the time that he spent with the father in private.
- 1:00:05Yeah. Well, that's fascinating.
- 1:00:09Um so as Rod would say everything's multi-layered so
- 1:00:13that literally just makes me think that, you know, so use, I
- 1:00:19don't know, a metaphor, a big strong man in the gym that has
- 1:00:23big muscles and stuff. He walks with confidence.
- 1:00:25Right, so there's a difference between walking in the physical
- 1:00:29with confidence and walking in the spirit with confidence.
- 1:00:32So what you're saying is that time that we pray in secret will
- 1:00:37basically puff us up and make us buff and the spirit And that
- 1:00:42will, in turn lead to being. Powerful in public.
- 1:00:48Yeah. And and it's like the people who
- 1:00:51I Who observe that walk with such power in public like that.
- 1:00:56And I see them doing these Mighty exploits.
- 1:00:59It's usually the ones that are not super boys racist or
- 1:01:03exaggerated in their speech or in their approach and how they
- 1:01:07would go about things. Right.
- 1:01:09Like I don't I don't read the gospels and see, Jesus doing
- 1:01:13these Miracles and see him being overly exaggerated or boisterous
- 1:01:18or yelling at demons to come out of someone, like, just very calm
- 1:01:23and A gentle strength, a gentle power, a confident power like
- 1:01:31I'm so confident. I don't need to go above and
- 1:01:36beyond and do a rain dance to prove to you that I have this
- 1:01:39power. I'm just gonna say one word or
- 1:01:42I'm just gonna look at you a certain way and it's gonna
- 1:01:46shift. Thanks.
- 1:01:47Exactly. And this real power where you,
- 1:01:51you don't you're not trying. Right?
- 1:01:55I feel like so often in Christianity, you know, it's
- 1:01:59like we know we're supposed to walk in power.
- 1:02:03We know, I mean what, what is, what is it saying more?
- 1:02:07Right? What is what is Mark these let
- 1:02:09me go to a quick. Yeah, he's just said, you know,
- 1:02:14go into all the world preach the gospel to Every Creature, he
- 1:02:17that believes and is baptized shall be saved but he, that
- 1:02:19believes not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow
- 1:02:23them that believe. What science?
- 1:02:27Jesus says, in my name shall they cast out Devils?
- 1:02:29They shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up
- 1:02:33serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt
- 1:02:37them. They shall lay hands on the sick
- 1:02:39and they shall recover. Right?
- 1:02:42Those were Jesus's words. Those are words in red.
- 1:02:46Right? He said that, if you're a
- 1:02:48Believer, if you're a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, This
- 1:02:52is ultimately what should be happening in our lives.
- 1:02:56But we don't see it that often. Do we?
- 1:02:59I personally don't in my life, just being honest.
- 1:03:03Right. Why you know, and so I think
- 1:03:09it's It comes back to are you spending time in secret with the
- 1:03:16Lord? Because you will receive power
- 1:03:19and Revelation and wisdom. In those moments, right?
- 1:03:24It's no different than studying for an exam.
- 1:03:27Right? You put in the quiet time.
- 1:03:32The study time, right? You go to the library to study
- 1:03:36for a test. Because you want to pass.
- 1:03:40Yeah. Right.
- 1:03:42So We as Believers need to be in study time, in quiet time with
- 1:03:48the Lord to receive what he would have for us.
- 1:03:51So, when we walk out, It's in US.
- 1:03:55We have it in US. Yes, right.
- 1:04:00I don't know. I I know, personally, I want to
- 1:04:05walk in power all the time. Am I doing that right now?
- 1:04:09No. But I know.
- 1:04:12What the Lord told me and he said private prayer produces
- 1:04:15Public Power. That's personal testimony.
- 1:04:19That's what I literally received from the lord.
- 1:04:22I can't speak for anyone else. I know it's backed up by
- 1:04:25scripture, just buy whatever I read in Matthew 6. when Ray go
- 1:04:31and shut your door, and pray to your father, who is in secret,
- 1:04:37Why does he say that? Your father who is in secret?
- 1:04:42He's implying that there's only things that can happen in secret
- 1:04:46with him. That can't happen any other
- 1:04:48time. Ah, there are certain things
- 1:04:52that we receive in secret with them when it's just us.
- 1:04:57No, one else is involved. The wife is not involved.
- 1:05:00The kids are not involved. The man other men in your life
- 1:05:03for not invited you and the Lord.
- 1:05:06There's only certain things and certain power that can be
- 1:05:10received in those moments that can't be received elsewhere.
- 1:05:14That's a personal relationship, isn't it?
- 1:05:16Yes, it is. I mean, Paul told us like, you
- 1:05:20know how to love our wives as God loves us, right?
- 1:05:24It's a personal relationship and it's supposed to be secret just
- 1:05:28like marriage. And, you know, I love what you
- 1:05:31said. About you know Rod would say
- 1:05:34less is more so to speak, you know.
- 1:05:37Like I have these little visions that are jumping in my brain as
- 1:05:41you speak. You know I'm sure most people
- 1:05:43are familiar with the movie The Matrix At the very end of the
- 1:05:47movie where just having that that quiet confidence that
- 1:05:51confidence in Christ, right? We're Neo just raises his hand
- 1:05:56as the bullets are shooting towards him.
- 1:05:59And all he says very humbly, very softly, very quiet, very
- 1:06:03confidently. Know.
- 1:06:08I mean, that's a powerful moment.
- 1:06:09And I, I think that You know, obviously Hollywood, twists
- 1:06:13things, but that can also be like a little bit of Truth, you
- 1:06:16know? Again there's nothing new Under
- 1:06:18the Sun, so as opposed to getting into the whole debate on
- 1:06:23whether or not we live in a simulation and like we're all a
- 1:06:26bunch of just batteries, being, you know, drained.
- 1:06:30I would say that that moment, you know, through a Biblical
- 1:06:35lens just having that confidence in Christ and sometimes less is
- 1:06:38more and acting humbly and gently and softly.
- 1:06:42And again, the banner over our group being never underestimate
- 1:06:47the power. Of love.
- 1:06:52So, if you'd want to like jump in real quick, I'm gonna take a
- 1:06:55shot real quick. So let's just take a second and
- 1:06:59for the listeners, I am not taking a shot shot.
- 1:07:02Nick, what am I taking a shot of That is my firefighter recipe.
- 1:07:08So the firefighter is a It's an old remedy a back.
- 1:07:16Yeah. Most people probably don't know
- 1:07:18about it. Probably got lost somewhere
- 1:07:20along the way along the way. but the Lord you know, highlighted
- 1:07:27it for me and said you know I want you to start making this,
- 1:07:31you know, and it was really in connection to you know with the
- 1:07:37pandemic that happened back in 2020 and just viruses and people
- 1:07:42getting sick and you know it was really I guess a remedy, you
- 1:07:51know, for people who are just really struggling in their
- 1:07:55health, And so I just began learning how to make it and and
- 1:08:02preserve it and and have people tested out and try it.
- 1:08:06And hey, give me feedback, how is this making you feel?
- 1:08:08Do you feel better? You know, I know with Rod, you
- 1:08:12know he he's like my number one, you know, like loves it he's
- 1:08:19always asking for more and you know, he's testing it out
- 1:08:24probably more than anyone I know.
- 1:08:26And he could probably test the five.
- 1:08:28That it's, it's really made an impact on him.
- 1:08:31It's like he calls it. Liquid life.
- 1:08:33Yes, he does down. If you're fatigued or you're
- 1:08:39hitting that afternoon crash and you just need to pick me up.
- 1:08:42It's like, man, take a shot of that.
- 1:08:43And boom, you are just Completely different person.
- 1:08:49So, you know, it's really just got a lot of medicinal things in
- 1:08:52it. Things like apple cider vinegar.
- 1:08:54Lemon, ginger turmeric. Cayenne pepper is one of the
- 1:09:00main ingredients, which is powerful.
- 1:09:04You know, garlic onion. Raw honey.
- 1:09:09Just a lot of your like typical. Natural medicine type of
- 1:09:14ingredients. So yeah, I really do it every
- 1:09:20fall and winter. I make a ton of batches and, you
- 1:09:24know, with the seasonal changes and the colder months, it's just
- 1:09:28really good to have one hand to prevent sickness, or if you do
- 1:09:31get sick, it just knocks out within a short amount of time.
- 1:09:35And I really believe that the Lord was telling me and
- 1:09:39preparing me like, hey, there's more.
- 1:09:43Pandemics and more plagues and things that are coming.
- 1:09:46You know, it was really almost a warning, too of like, hey, I
- 1:09:51want you to do this because a lot of people are gonna be
- 1:09:53probably seeking you out. because, Medicines not going to
- 1:09:58fix it prescription. Pills are not going to fix it
- 1:10:02for what's coming. At least.
- 1:10:04Right. From a Kia pharmakeia.
- 1:10:08Which is witchcraft by the way. If you look up that word sorcery
- 1:10:14and Revelation I forget. What is that Revelation?
- 1:10:1618 want to say? Yes, Yeah.
- 1:10:21Go to read that real quick. Yeah, one second, let me pull it
- 1:10:26up real quick. Um, I will attest real fast
- 1:10:30while. I looked this up that I saw you
- 1:10:33several months ago when I was extremely sick and I called you
- 1:10:37up and I asked for your remedy I'm not going to Have you do
- 1:10:43that right now? Because you actually sell this
- 1:10:46stuff, right? But I will say for the listeners
- 1:10:48that when he told me how to make my own, although I probably
- 1:10:52didn't make it nearly as good as he does.
- 1:10:53I actually just took a drink of Some that Rod sent me off with
- 1:10:58after departing from. The God and guns event which was
- 1:11:03absolutely incredible but yeah, no, it cleared me right up and
- 1:11:08about 24 hours. I remember telling you telling
- 1:11:10you that I reached out to you asked what to do, go to the
- 1:11:13store, everything natural, you know, and boom, within 24 hours,
- 1:11:18I was feeling great. Yeah, that's amazing.
- 1:11:21That's really, really brings joy to my heart because they all
- 1:11:25that's a big. That's a big deal for me, you
- 1:11:29know, with what God is using me for.
- 1:11:31And obviously it's, you know, Fitness and all that stuff and
- 1:11:37talking about masculinity. And but a lot of what God uses
- 1:11:41me for is, is through natural, holistic living, you know,
- 1:11:47holistic remedies and being able to show people that hey, you
- 1:11:52know, you can, you can heal a lot of ailments and a lot of
- 1:11:55chronic illness through natural remedies and it's just just
- 1:12:02getting educated on it, you know?
- 1:12:03So yeah, I I do this for people, I take people through juice
- 1:12:08cleanses and I'm very into cleanse.
- 1:12:12Protocols, I have a lot of experience with it.
- 1:12:15Now, I've coached over 100 people through cleanses and
- 1:12:19fasting protocols so I have pretty good understanding on
- 1:12:24that. Um, but it's it's so important
- 1:12:27nowadays, because we're so bombarded with toxins, you can't
- 1:12:31avoid it. So, the best thing you can do,
- 1:12:33is periodically continue to get stuff out of your body.
- 1:12:37Especially heavy metals and parasites and things that you
- 1:12:41know, they just they cause destruction inside of your body.
- 1:12:47yes, or are literally They are little minions little thieves
- 1:12:54that seek to steal kill and destroy just like our adversary
- 1:12:58the devil. Right.
- 1:13:00They're like little mini Devils inside of you that are just
- 1:13:02robbing your body. They're eating stuff inside of
- 1:13:06you and whatever they eat. They obviously have to desecrate
- 1:13:11so they're legit desecrating inside of you which is
- 1:13:13disrespectful and I take that personal so I don't want them in
- 1:13:18my body. And so I personally Like having
- 1:13:24a cleansing lifestyle. I don't believe in a one-time
- 1:13:26fix here. Take this cleanse, take this
- 1:13:29pill or this juice and lose 20 pounds in 20 days.
- 1:13:34No. Cleansing should be for
- 1:13:37resetting the body and for healing itself, right?
- 1:13:42The main thing with cleansing should be for healing and
- 1:13:46resetting the system back to its original state, right?
- 1:13:51Think of a computer that has a lot of viruses, right?
- 1:13:54You do, what a factory reset. It's no different with our
- 1:13:58bodies. Our bodies are fearfully and
- 1:14:02wonderfully made there. It's a machine.
- 1:14:05Yeah, I mean there's so many things that happen on our body
- 1:14:07that we're not in control of it, just automatically does it.
- 1:14:12Right? So we need the factory resets
- 1:14:16from time to time. Because we're, we can't avoid
- 1:14:21the level of toxins that are exposed to every day.
- 1:14:25There's too many Poison's and if you want to be around for a long
- 1:14:28time and and you want to have quality of life.
- 1:14:32Not necessarily just about quantity of life.
- 1:14:35There's many people that live long but horrific lives.
- 1:14:39Because people try to justify. Well my my grandma, you know,
- 1:14:43she smokes cigarettes every day. She drank Coca-Cola and this and
- 1:14:48now she never worked out. She ate meat and that do 100.
- 1:14:53Like okay cool. She probably has extremely good
- 1:14:57genetics but what was her quality of life like No one
- 1:15:01wants to go into that. You know what was her mental
- 1:15:05state? Like what was her emotional
- 1:15:07state like? You can't just think of
- 1:15:09physical. That's why I'm Nick holistic,
- 1:15:12holistic, what is holistic? It means the whole Being whole
- 1:15:17being complete. Right.
- 1:15:20What is the Bible say about this?
- 1:15:23Sorry, I'm just going on a tangent.
- 1:15:25Now, forget, you're okay. Um, but the Bible says, in in
- 1:15:31first Thessalonians 5:23, I believe, and the Very God of
- 1:15:38Peace sanctify, you wholly. W h o l.
- 1:15:43L y and I pray. God, your whole Spirit soul and
- 1:15:48body. Be preserved blameless unto the
- 1:15:51coming of Our Lord. Praise Here at stolen body,
- 1:15:55that's whole lipstick. Holy three parts to our being,
- 1:16:00right? We're not just the body, we're
- 1:16:02not just a spirit and we're not just the soul.
- 1:16:04We're all three the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, three and
- 1:16:09one. Okay?
- 1:16:11So, I'm really the Lord has me in the holistic realm of, hey, I
- 1:16:18I want to improve people's quality of life, from a holistic
- 1:16:22perspective. I want to teach you how to have
- 1:16:25a relationship with the Lord I want to.
- 1:16:27Strengthen your spiritual muscles.
- 1:16:28I want to take you through a bootcamp workout.
- 1:16:30I want to strengthen your physical muscles, right?
- 1:16:32So you're sure so you're strolling you can you can train
- 1:16:36for life you know you could run a mile if you need to run a
- 1:16:39mile. If you're getting chased by a
- 1:16:40bear or you could pick up a big log.
- 1:16:43If it fell once someone and you have the strength to do it
- 1:16:46right, you're ready. So I I love the aspect of being
- 1:16:53whole and balanced in all different areas and I think
- 1:16:57we're all really striving for that.
- 1:16:59And it's always this juggling match of like man.
- 1:17:02How do I juggle all of this? Um, but it's, it's possible.
- 1:17:08It's a journey. It's a long journey, and it
- 1:17:11takes being humble enough to let go of ideologies and things that
- 1:17:17you've been programmed to believe over the years.
- 1:17:20Most of them are lies, anyway. So just undo the lies, just
- 1:17:24remove the lies from the equation, embrace the new
- 1:17:28knowledge, the holistic natural remedies with humility, like a
- 1:17:35child would? Yes, like a child, learn like a
- 1:17:39child. Explore put it to the test.
- 1:17:42I don't just tell people stuff holistically from from a book.
- 1:17:47You know, I mean, I'm not I'm not a textbook kind of guy.
- 1:17:51I'm like I walked the walk kind of guy, I live this like Style.
- 1:17:57You know what I mean? I'm not just talking it out
- 1:17:59here. Now, I'm not all.
- 1:18:00So gonna say That I'm where I want to be physically and
- 1:18:04mentally, and spiritual know. I'm every evolving, right?
- 1:18:09We always want to be. I want to be a student all the
- 1:18:12time and I want to glean from other people.
- 1:18:14I want to observe. Okay, this works.
- 1:18:17Okay. Okay, that didn't work.
- 1:18:19Tested. Right.
- 1:18:21Just like the Bible says, test the spirits to see whether they
- 1:18:24be of God. Right, we're supposed to test
- 1:18:27these things. And I do and and I find a lot of
- 1:18:32wisdom and I find a lot of what is true by following that path.
- 1:18:39Right. I love how you brought all that
- 1:18:42back together. Um yeah everything as Rod would
- 1:18:46say is multi-layered for sure I did pull up Revelation.
- 1:18:50It is 18, Revelation 18:23 this is regarding Pharma Kia.
- 1:18:58And the light of a candle shall shine.
- 1:19:00No more at all in the In the voice of the bridegroom, and of
- 1:19:05the Bride, shall be heard no more at all.
- 1:19:07In the, for the merchants were the Great Men of the Earth for
- 1:19:13by their sorceries, were all nations deceived.
- 1:19:18So this is regarding farmacia, so, you know, we talked behind
- 1:19:22the scenes about like the importance and the relevance of
- 1:19:25the times that we live in. The intentionality and being
- 1:19:30able to shift our ways and it's okay.
- 1:19:33So there goes that humility thing, right?
- 1:19:35It's okay to say that I screwed up.
- 1:19:37It's okay to say that. You know what, I might have done
- 1:19:40things wrong. It's okay to make a shift.
- 1:19:45You know. It's okay to hold ourselves
- 1:19:49accountable, you know like I'll say it right here like I have
- 1:19:52times where like you know, I have temptations, you know, like
- 1:19:56I might be working and I don't feel like cooking a meal so I
- 1:20:00might go grab something that I know is bad for me and I'll do
- 1:20:04it anyway and I'll make up for it.
- 1:20:07Right? But we are, unfortunately.
- 1:20:10Unfortunately, because Jesus is coming soon, praise God, I truly
- 1:20:15believe that I think you do, too, that we do live in a time
- 1:20:21where we need to hold ourselves accountable.
- 1:20:23And like the word has given us warnings and teachings on
- 1:20:27everything, everything's right there.
- 1:20:30You know, for those that really seek Jesus and seek the word, he
- 1:20:33is the word. It's all right there. so, isn't
- 1:20:39it kind of on us to hold ourselves accountable?
- 1:20:42If we don't turn to the word and we get things wrong and we don't
- 1:20:46actually Take These Warnings seriously.
- 1:20:52Yes, true. I mean the Bible says my people
- 1:20:54perish for what lack of knowledge.
- 1:20:58Right? So if you don't ignorant of it,
- 1:21:04we can parish for that. We suffer the consequences of
- 1:21:07not knowing Right? The flip side of that, we talked
- 1:21:10about this not too long ago. Over a rods, the flip side of
- 1:21:14knowledge is well, knowledge also puffs up, the Bible says
- 1:21:19but builds up And Solomon, who the wisest of all.
- 1:21:28Came to the end of his life and said, man with much knowledge,
- 1:21:31comes much sorrow. Like man, Ducks knowing all this
- 1:21:36stuff, you know, this is heavy. I almost rather not know all
- 1:21:40this stuff now. Does you just vanity just gonna
- 1:21:44fade away? It's all temporary.
- 1:21:48You know, yes. So it's an interesting thing,
- 1:21:52knowledge But we definitely, you know, Jesus said, ask seek and
- 1:21:59knock, you know, keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on
- 1:22:02knocking. And, and the fear of the Lord is
- 1:22:07the beginning of wisdom. So, we have all of these truths
- 1:22:12in the word. Of.
- 1:22:16Being on a quest to find the truth to know the truth.
- 1:22:21Right? So their wisdom so that we can
- 1:22:24make wise decisions. So we're not being led astray
- 1:22:29that we're not falling into Satan's devices.
- 1:22:31Right? He says, do not be ignorant of
- 1:22:34the devil's devices. Don't be ignorant of them.
- 1:22:38How do you not be ignorant of them?
- 1:22:41Well. Not knowledge.
- 1:22:44Understand the word. Jesus.
- 1:22:47Quoted the word every time Satan was tempting him. so, when we
- 1:22:52tempt him, Know, thus says the Lord.
- 1:22:56Know what we shall prosper. You're the father of all eyes.
- 1:23:01You're a liar? Yeah, I think I would just take
- 1:23:06a moment since like we just talked about like our
- 1:23:08conversations when we were over at Rod's, did you want to tell
- 1:23:11anybody about the event that we just had a couple weeks ago What
- 1:23:15took place? You know what came of it?
- 1:23:18What was your experience like? And Yeah, I all personally
- 1:23:24attest that it was one of the most amazing And Timely
- 1:23:27experiences in my entire life. Again, I am just so grateful for
- 1:23:31all of you men, um, I wouldn't be where I am today.
- 1:23:35If not for you guys, if not for God, but yeah, just let the
- 1:23:39listeners know like you know what took place and you know
- 1:23:42what we're doing? Not to expose all of our plans
- 1:23:46but you know where we go from here. yeah, so the God and guns
- 1:23:52have been was like a two-day event and was really just kind
- 1:24:00of a retreat in a sense, but it's really just men getting
- 1:24:03together who all have The same goal in mind, you know, wanting
- 1:24:09to seek the Lord and and know who we are.
- 1:24:14Understanding our identity as sons of the most high God.
- 1:24:18When, you know, you're a son, it's like the Bible says he has
- 1:24:23given me the right. To become a son of God.
- 1:24:28Right? He adopted us as Sons when you
- 1:24:31fully know that and you're around other men who also remind
- 1:24:36you of that. It's almost like you just, you
- 1:24:40feel invincible. You feel like man, there's
- 1:24:44there's nothing anyone could throw at me because of knowing
- 1:24:48this information. Yeah, I think identity is is
- 1:24:53everything. I think that's the foundation of
- 1:24:56knowing who we are in Christ. If we don't know that or if we
- 1:25:01have second thoughts or doubts or were confused about that,
- 1:25:05that's going to affect every other area of our life.
- 1:25:08Everything Up. So the God and guns was really a
- 1:25:17reminder. It was, it was really a big
- 1:25:19reminder for me of who I am as a son, right?
- 1:25:23And as a man, Like I'm Wild at Heart, you know, game to say
- 1:25:29that. You know, I'm not ashamed to
- 1:25:32wake up and and take a bunch of guys through a boot camp
- 1:25:36workout. I'm not ashamed to be out there
- 1:25:38shooting guns and you know, slingshots and whatever other
- 1:25:42stuff we were doing. I mean, we were camping out and,
- 1:25:45you know, we were enjoying a fire pit night and playing
- 1:25:51instruments. Singing vocals just Raw.
- 1:25:55I mean, it was like, Wow, this this is something here.
- 1:25:59This special It was too short. You know for me it was I think
- 1:26:08we as men we need the fellowship multiple times a year at the
- 1:26:13very least. Oh man.
- 1:26:17It's humbling. It's really humbling.
- 1:26:20Because you, you get to know these guys.
- 1:26:22And, you know, the Bible says as iron sharpens iron.
- 1:26:25So one man, sharpens, another Right, men of iron.
- 1:26:31So what how do you sharpen one another, you know, what goes on
- 1:26:36in that process? Well.
- 1:26:41In order to Sharp sharpen a blade.
- 1:26:43It's like there has to be clanging.
- 1:26:46And banging their has to be friction.
- 1:26:49There has to be resistance. There has to be challenges.
- 1:26:55You know, and that that's how we grow as men.
- 1:26:58You know, we we love to be an overcomer.
- 1:27:01We love to conquer. It's just how we're wired.
- 1:27:06You know, we love The thrill of, man, this could go wrong at any
- 1:27:11moment, like, did. This could really go bad, but I
- 1:27:16the thrill of that, excites me, and I'm gonna go for it. you
- 1:27:20know, and I think so many of us men, we lose that again while
- 1:27:25the Heart John Eldredge, if you don't understand your identity
- 1:27:30as a man. So you're searching desperately.
- 1:27:35For answers. You need to get that book.
- 1:27:39Wild at Heart. Yeah.
- 1:27:41Going to fill in a lot of blanks for you.
- 1:27:44And answer a lot of questions you've always had.
- 1:27:48But there is a wild nature to us.
- 1:27:50And, and when we grow up as boys, they try to suppress that
- 1:27:55that masculine testosterone. And call it.
- 1:28:00Well, he's got add, he's got ADHD, he's got this disorder.
- 1:28:04All right, get them all medication, get him some
- 1:28:07counseling, it's like And you have no idea.
- 1:28:10That's that's natural. It just needs to be channeled
- 1:28:15the right way. Exactly it.
- 1:28:18The boy is not the problem. The testosterone is not the
- 1:28:21problem, right? The gun is not the problem.
- 1:28:24It's, it's who's behind it and how is it being channeled?
- 1:28:29Super found. Like hungry more.
- 1:28:33Yeah, we're reading that book right now actually.
- 1:28:36I've been a little bit busy but I ended up getting the audio
- 1:28:40version as well. I'm sitting here holding up the
- 1:28:43book. I saw that you have it as well.
- 1:28:45I've made it through about seven chapters those far and yeah, I
- 1:28:49mean it's it's the exact opposite.
- 1:28:53Of what the world tells us, what a man should be.
- 1:28:59You know, we need to go back to Our Roots, we need to go back to
- 1:29:02the Garden. We need to go back to our
- 1:29:04creator, our designer. How did he create us?
- 1:29:07How did he design us? What did he make us for?
- 1:29:10What is our purpose? You know, I've got my bookshelf
- 1:29:14right back here and I've got another book called a Purpose
- 1:29:18Driven Life. You know, so I think, you know,
- 1:29:20I can say this, you know, as my own testimony, so hopefully it
- 1:29:25reaches somebody. But, you know, I've struggled
- 1:29:27with identity issues. We prayed about this we talked
- 1:29:30about this at God and guns. We talked about You know,
- 1:29:35confidence self-confidence. You know, not to say that.
- 1:29:41You know, being overconfident is necessarily good thing, you
- 1:29:44know, everything in moderation, but you need to love yourself as
- 1:29:47well. Because I think it was either
- 1:29:50you or else or maybe even Rod that said how can you have the
- 1:29:55capacity to love somebody else? If you don't love yourself, So
- 1:30:01no different than I didn't, he issues, how are you supposed to
- 1:30:04give anybody any help? Or wisdom if you don't even know
- 1:30:11who you are and what your purpose is.
- 1:30:14So I would just encourage people.
- 1:30:15What I think, Nick is saying is just go back to the roots, go
- 1:30:19back to the Creator, go back to the design. you know, start
- 1:30:23small start from the beginning. The beginning to the end.
- 1:30:27I think it's safe to say. I know you think the same that
- 1:30:31we're at the End of the Age. So, if we're at the end, why
- 1:30:34would we not go back to the beginning?
- 1:30:37As it was in the days of Noah. So too, shall it be in the
- 1:30:41second coming of the son of man? Yeah, yeah, I think about going
- 1:30:47back to the beginning that I wanted to just add quick as I
- 1:30:52think John Elvis talks about this in the book, but he he
- 1:30:55highlights the fact that God did not form Adam in the Garden of
- 1:31:02Eden. He was from the Outback.
- 1:31:06Right? And I'm sure says in Genesis
- 1:31:102:7. the Lord God formed man of the Dust of the ground and
- 1:31:15breathed into his nostrils, the Breath of Life, the ruach And
- 1:31:19the next verse says and the Lord God planted a garden.
- 1:31:24Eastward in Eden and there. He put the man.
- 1:31:28He took the man and put him in the garden.
- 1:31:31He didn't form him in the garden.
- 1:31:33Woman was actually formed in the garden from the man.
- 1:31:39You know. So man was actually built from
- 1:31:42the Outback, the wild Right. And I love the picture, he
- 1:31:48paints with that lion, that he seen that that Zoo, what he
- 1:31:52explains about that and and how he just felt so bad for this
- 1:31:56line because it's like, it's kind of just like, whimpering
- 1:31:58like it obviously doesn't want to be locked in there.
- 1:32:02And and, and, and compare that to a line in the wild, in the
- 1:32:06jungles of Africa. That's literally just chasing
- 1:32:11gazelle's down and and just wild feeling its purpose.
- 1:32:16It's designed It is designed to do precisely that.
- 1:32:22And and the same can be applied to us men.
- 1:32:25When we're we have our and no fence saying one.
- 1:32:30But when we have our our nice little suit and tie on and we
- 1:32:34put our button up on to church and we show up with a smile on
- 1:32:37our face and we're clean cut and all of that. you know, again, no
- 1:32:43offense to anyone who does that but Our true nature is wild. and
- 1:32:49and I think every man, Honestly knows it but doesn't want to
- 1:32:54admit it. Maybe along the way you've been
- 1:32:58told otherwise. Or or you've been led to believe
- 1:33:01that you know you you need to be just prim and proper and you
- 1:33:08know, suppress that testosterone.
- 1:33:11Like no. No, actually I don't.
- 1:33:16I'm Wild at Heart when I'm out on my trail runs.
- 1:33:20I share this a lot. I love trail running but it's
- 1:33:24not like your typical Trails. Like yeah I hit those but What
- 1:33:28makes me come alive as a man? Is hitting a rugged terrain type
- 1:33:33of Trail where there's mountains.
- 1:33:35There's rocks, there's Roots, there's branches, there's logs
- 1:33:37down. You have no idea what you're
- 1:33:40going to encounter a bear or a snake.
- 1:33:42I've literally run on top of snakes.
- 1:33:45I've encountered throughout my trail runs. and so, like, When
- 1:33:51I'm hitting a trail in particularly on the downhill.
- 1:33:54Where it's just straight down and it's nothing but rocks.
- 1:33:59like, I absolutely love. I'll never forget this moment.
- 1:34:03I had it was like Breakthrough moment.
- 1:34:05I was listening to that Chris Thomas song called.
- 1:34:08Yes and amen. You know I'm talking about and
- 1:34:12there's a particular part in that song where the the chorus
- 1:34:16is like, And I will rest in your promise, is my confidence is
- 1:34:24your face fullness. Those lyrics began playing on my
- 1:34:29down, my decent, my down on the back.
- 1:34:34End of my one trail run and I just took off.
- 1:34:38Like I like I was like something shifted.
- 1:34:43All right, so we're back with holistic.
- 1:34:52Nick long. It's funny because we talk about
- 1:34:55like behind the scenes. How when you're over the Target,
- 1:34:58that the adversarial really attacking you, I really feel
- 1:35:02like we had a really good flow and we were heading in a
- 1:35:04direction that would really just glorify God and bring a little
- 1:35:09bit of substance to reach out to even one person.
- 1:35:12Um, we were talking about overcoming fear Nick wants you
- 1:35:19to, like, just pick up where you left off about going running on
- 1:35:23uneven trails and then heading down a Rock trail, that was
- 1:35:28very, very steep. All Give you the mic brother?
- 1:35:31Yeah. So Yeah, I'm at the top of the
- 1:35:36hill, right? I'm now my decent coming down
- 1:35:40the back side of the mountain and You know, at this point I'm
- 1:35:44already like I don't know, four miles in and this is rugged
- 1:35:48terrain. So this is a lot more exhausting
- 1:35:51than just your typical Trail. And you know, I have my
- 1:35:56headphones on and I'm listening to that Chris Tomlin song called
- 1:36:00yes and amen. very, very good song and the lyrics, the one
- 1:36:08chorus during that song started playing in my ear and it was I
- 1:36:16will rest. In your promises.
- 1:36:19My confidence is your faithfulness.
- 1:36:23That just kept playing in my head once I heard those lyrics.
- 1:36:27It's like something shifted in me and this confidence just a
- 1:36:33rose out of nowhere, and I just took off like full-blown.
- 1:36:39Sprint. As fast as I could down the
- 1:36:41hill. Rocks Roots, all types of
- 1:36:45obstacles. In front of me.
- 1:36:49And there was just no fear. There was this wild nature
- 1:36:53inside of me that just came alive.
- 1:36:56And I was like, man, if I misstep a half inch on any
- 1:37:02stride of my Sprint, I could probably break a bone or
- 1:37:07something really, bad could happen.
- 1:37:08And But that wasn't even a thought in my head.
- 1:37:14There was no worry or fear of falling or anything.
- 1:37:19It was like I was invincible. It was like, you know that
- 1:37:22scripture in Psalm 91 at the Lord just quick and me here.
- 1:37:25Um where it says that he shall give his angels charge over us
- 1:37:31to keep us in all of our ways less.
- 1:37:33We do what? Less.
- 1:37:36We Dash our foot upon a stone. Right.
- 1:37:40There were millions of stones that I could have dashed my foot
- 1:37:45upon and stumbled and fell and broken a bone.
- 1:37:50The Angels literally were keeping me.
- 1:37:54From stumbling. I was just in this bubble where
- 1:37:58nothing could hurt me, nothing could touch me.
- 1:38:02It was wild. And I loved it.
- 1:38:05And I felt alive. and every time, I go back to the mountains
- 1:38:11and I'm in hitting a trail run, or I'm going rocking or Just out
- 1:38:16in the wilderness. I feel alive.
- 1:38:20There's something about it. And John eldra says in the book,
- 1:38:24he's like, man. Every time a man goes to the
- 1:38:27mountains. It's like he's going home.
- 1:38:30It's like, he feels home. In the unknown.
- 1:38:35You know, when you're in the wilderness, it's on knowing you
- 1:38:38have no idea what you're about to encounter.
- 1:38:43But there's something wild about us as men.
- 1:38:45We love that. Because we love to conquer.
- 1:38:49It's like man if I gotta fight a bear, if I got to do some like
- 1:38:54let's go. I'm terrified, but let's go.
- 1:39:00Was Jesus, Wilder heart. Yes.
- 1:39:04I believe he was the wildest at heart.
- 1:39:08And he will be coming back on a white stallion.
- 1:39:12With his robe dipped in blood. Talk about Braveheart on
- 1:39:18steroids. Oh my goodness.
- 1:39:20Yes. Oh my gosh you just pulled on my
- 1:39:22heartstrings right there. See we we had this image of
- 1:39:25Jesus you know because of a lot of the portraits and paintings
- 1:39:30and Certain churches and we've been programmed to think he's
- 1:39:34just this very Meek and gentle. kind of, dude, with long hair
- 1:39:40and Yes, he's the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the
- 1:39:46world but he's also the line of Judah too.
- 1:39:49He's both. And so we gotta have the right
- 1:39:53perspective of who he is. once we understand that, then we
- 1:39:59understand who we are, Well, as men, yeah, we could, we could be
- 1:40:05like a lamb, right? The Bible says, be wise as a
- 1:40:09serpent, but harmless as a dove, The serpents can be deadly.
- 1:40:17Doves. One of the most harmless
- 1:40:20creatures there is be both. As men.
- 1:40:26Be extremely strong and powerful Be Wild.
- 1:40:31You'll be humble, be gentle. Unique.
- 1:40:36The balance of the two. It's so so peculiar, so
- 1:40:42mysterious. So Majestic.
- 1:40:46God created us this way. And it's amazing.
- 1:40:54You know what, I gotta say something.
- 1:40:56I am just so grateful. Number one for your, you know,
- 1:41:00your fellowship. And, you know, obviously like
- 1:41:03your prayers and man, like just Setting a new standard for me.
- 1:41:09Um, you know, I'm honored to call you my brother in Christ,
- 1:41:13you know me and Rod you know we talked behind the scenes and
- 1:41:18stuff and just talk about You know, you being a representative
- 1:41:23and having a voice, you know, we all have a voice and we all have
- 1:41:27a purpose and I definitely think and I know Rod would attest to
- 1:41:32this that you're somebody that could, you know, definitely have
- 1:41:35an impact. Fun people of all ages but, you
- 1:41:41know, young men. I know like you train a lot of
- 1:41:43young men. Um, you know, you told me that
- 1:41:46you've been training some athletes.
- 1:41:49I know that you've got a background in sports, you know,
- 1:41:51as do. I mean, I think that's a great
- 1:41:53thing. That's a form of camaraderie.
- 1:41:55I'll say this. When we were at God and guns,
- 1:42:00one of my favorite Parts. Was you taking us through a
- 1:42:03workout and just whooping our butts, man.
- 1:42:05But you know what? It made us turn to each other
- 1:42:09and like you know pick up the slack or other people like you
- 1:42:13know might be falling short and you know just encouraging each
- 1:42:16other and you know getting through the fire so to speak
- 1:42:21right? No different than Shadrach.
- 1:42:22Meshach and Abednego and just saying yes and like making it
- 1:42:25through the other side, right? And that was definitely one of
- 1:42:29the most profound and just memorable moments.
- 1:42:34For me is just all of us coming together and getting through
- 1:42:38this workout And then shooting some guns, right?
- 1:42:41But the fellowship, the prayer, the prayer, the power of prayer.
- 1:42:46I can't emphasize that enough. Yeah.
- 1:42:48But I'm so glad you reminded me of that because, yeah, that
- 1:42:52workout was that was very impactful for me.
- 1:42:56And I, I've taken a lot of people through workouts boot
- 1:42:59camp classes, so it's not something new to me, but I've
- 1:43:04got to say it's it's one of the first times in all my career,
- 1:43:08where Like I've never had a dynamic like that where it was,
- 1:43:13it was just all guys. And it was guys of similar
- 1:43:17generation, right? The millennial generation
- 1:43:19because a lot there were some older guys that were there, but
- 1:43:23they didn't take the class, right?
- 1:43:24It was mainly the millennials, That took the class.
- 1:43:30And so there was just some sort of unity and impact that that
- 1:43:34had on me. As I'm, you know.
- 1:43:39Being drill, sergeant, Mr. Nick over here and bearing down on
- 1:43:43everyone. But yeah, the camaraderie and
- 1:43:47seeing you guys like no, I'm gonna tap in and all I'll
- 1:43:52complete your set, you know, I got you on this one.
- 1:43:56Like that stuff is powerful. No one that man, I knew going
- 1:44:01into it like I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna see some interesting
- 1:44:06things throughout this this workout.
- 1:44:09You know, I know people were not not ready for it, you know,
- 1:44:13some, like yourself, you know, you look to be in very good,
- 1:44:16physical shape and have a background of being active and
- 1:44:21whatnot, but others maybe not so much.
- 1:44:24And so I knew That you can't grow in your comfort zone.
- 1:44:31You know, it's very cliche but it's true. we have to especially
- 1:44:35as men, Be willing to get very uncomfortable in situations and
- 1:44:41environments where we're not used to it.
- 1:44:46Talking about shooting guns. I mean, that's not something
- 1:44:49that I regularly do, even though I have one.
- 1:44:52You know, I I don't practice shooting, I don't know how to
- 1:44:56clean a gun or certain things like as a man that I would love
- 1:45:00to learn how to do. Um to be taught by other men to
- 1:45:05be able to do those things so I can have more confidence. you
- 1:45:09know, so that to me, that part of the god and guns was Not as
- 1:45:15comfortable as when I'm in. You know, a boot camp setting
- 1:45:19and I'm running to work out. Yeah.
- 1:45:21Um, but the absolute Pinnacle for me was at the end where we
- 1:45:26literally locked arms. and began praying for Um, for for the weak
- 1:45:33side of the person, next to us. Shout out to brother Klaus for
- 1:45:38hearing the whisper of the Holy Spirit on that one because that
- 1:45:43was just so impactful for me. And you were the one to my right
- 1:45:49who I was praying for hey and I felt honored in that moment.
- 1:45:54I felt really like I really fell honored to pray for like we I've
- 1:45:58prayed for you before. Yeah.
- 1:46:00We pray for each other all the time.
- 1:46:02There was something about that moment, that was very special.
- 1:46:06and very honorable for me, To literally lock arms with a
- 1:46:10fellow Soldier. Physically.
- 1:46:13I could feel your strength and your arm.
- 1:46:17And I'm just going in, I'm going in, in my prayers, I'm tapping
- 1:46:22in the spirit. I'm interceding for you.
- 1:46:24I'm lifting you up to the heavens. and, and the fact that
- 1:46:31we're all doing that in a circle, it was just like a ring
- 1:46:36of fire. It was like yeah, nothing is
- 1:46:39touching us right now and we just literally strengthened each
- 1:46:44other in the spirit so much. I walked away like, wow.
- 1:46:51Amazed. Possible untouchable.
- 1:46:56Absolutely. Like that's what the word says
- 1:46:58right. You know, we talked about pocket
- 1:47:00ROMs, we talk about hedger protections.
- 1:47:02I mean these are all things, these aren't just words.
- 1:47:05They're very, very real. Yeah.
- 1:47:08Spirit realm is very real even though we can't see it.
- 1:47:11You know, we pray in it and there will come a time where,
- 1:47:16you know, the veil is lifted and the spiritual basically
- 1:47:21intertwines with the physical and You know, the word says that
- 1:47:24men's Hearts will fail them. You know, so we talked about a
- 1:47:30reprieve as well, you know that we live in a time of peace.
- 1:47:34Where reprieve, let's break that word down.
- 1:47:37That would be like preparing. A time to receive.
- 1:47:42What are we receiving? Truth or receiving?
- 1:47:45Jesus were preparing ourselves. We're preparing ourselves for
- 1:47:49The feast all your receiving the Harvest.
- 1:47:52Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 1:47:54And, you know, being intentional on praying together, too.
- 1:48:00I mean, I love what you said before about, like, you know,
- 1:48:04with the peas, right? Praying in secret, you know will
- 1:48:09prepare you to pray and public. Hopefully I got that right.
- 1:48:13So prayer, produces Public Power.
- 1:48:17Yes. And that's so profound it is
- 1:48:22there's another P for you. Um, Yeah, I think it's very very
- 1:48:27important and like as far as the listeners go, I would just say,
- 1:48:30you know I mean like what made David different than everybody
- 1:48:33else. He was intentional on prayer, he
- 1:48:36gave everything to the Lord, he had faith that was higher than
- 1:48:41anybody else. That's why he was willing to
- 1:48:44step out and literally faced a giant Yeah.
- 1:48:50And I believe he was definitely afraid.
- 1:48:53Because many people may believe that.
- 1:48:56He ran to the giant. He was just so bold and it was
- 1:49:00no fear in him whatsoever. I believe he was deathly afraid.
- 1:49:05But I believe that. The love he had for the Lord and
- 1:49:09the relationship he had with the Lord.
- 1:49:12He was reminded hey the Lord delivered, the lion and the bear
- 1:49:16into my hands. What's different from this
- 1:49:18giant? If they couldn't kill me and the
- 1:49:22Lord delivered me from them, he's gonna deliver this giant
- 1:49:26into my hands. so the confidence he had in the Lord because of
- 1:49:31all the secret time he spent with him, He knew his voice.
- 1:49:34He knew his strength. If God before me, who could be
- 1:49:39against me, you're not going to defile my God anymore.
- 1:49:46Confidence in Christ confidence. In ourselves can only go so far.
- 1:49:52Yeah that House of David series man that was off the hook.
- 1:49:56We got to talk about that because I actually yeah we
- 1:49:59talked about it we thought they did a pretty good job you know
- 1:50:03all things considered. Yeah.
- 1:50:06We definitely have to break that down.
- 1:50:08I definitely love to have you back, man, I love this.
- 1:50:11This is so much fun. I love you, man.
- 1:50:15I did want to bring something up Shameless plug real quick.
- 1:50:21We're on a podcast right now. You have a podcast that you're
- 1:50:24starting don't you? Yeah I actually started it a
- 1:50:28couple years ago. This was, you know, it's funny
- 1:50:33cuz, you know, we had the pandemic in 2020.
- 1:50:38I forget what book I was reading, but I was reading a
- 1:50:41book and I was like, think it was like the Lord was telling me
- 1:50:45like I want you to start a podcast for masculinity and I'm
- 1:50:49like, really like all things like, what do you mean, what do
- 1:50:55I have to say about masculinity? Look at me, you know.
- 1:50:59And so I was kind of fighting it, but I was reading a book and
- 1:51:04and just thinking of like, well, what would the name be right?
- 1:51:07Like I have no idea. and, I come across the word pandemic, and I
- 1:51:16think it was, oh, yeah, I think it was the book called Hard
- 1:51:20Times, create strong men. Yes, that's what it was.
- 1:51:24Which is a crazy book. Um, I don't agree with
- 1:51:29everything to do, it says, but he's pretty spot on about a lot
- 1:51:32of stuff. Hard Times, create strong men,
- 1:51:35strong men, create good times. Good, good times create weak
- 1:51:38men, weak men, create hard times.
- 1:51:40And it's this cycle that repeats itself throughout history.
- 1:51:43Yes, um, So, I'm reading through that book and, and the word
- 1:51:48pandemic jumped off the page at me.
- 1:51:52And in that moment, it was like this spirit.
- 1:51:55Changed the first letter of that word to an m and said, man
- 1:52:00demonic. And I was like, wow.
- 1:52:04That's crazy right now. He was like, I want you to call
- 1:52:09the mandem. So I began sitting with that and
- 1:52:14just asking him about it and, you know, just like we're in
- 1:52:18this era where again, you know, people want to call it.
- 1:52:22Toxic masculinity. And there's many people out
- 1:52:26there trying to Define what it is.
- 1:52:30Um, and so there's there's a man-made, right?
- 1:52:34There's a lot of men walking around as little boys still
- 1:52:38never initiated Still probably a mama's boy attached to the mom.
- 1:52:43Right? Sucking on the teat.
- 1:52:45So to speak if I can say that. Um, never actually growing up or
- 1:52:50maturing. Right.
- 1:52:51Grown men walking around as young boys.
- 1:52:55Still And so there's a man damn it.
- 1:52:59Going on that we need to correct and we need to bring Clarity and
- 1:53:03wisdom and Truth to what true biblical masculinity is because
- 1:53:08outside of that. You could talk about Macho Man
- 1:53:13stuff. All you want.
- 1:53:15It's what's the truth? You know.
- 1:53:20The Lord has to Define masculinity.
- 1:53:22He's the one that created man and woman.
- 1:53:27So so yes, the man domecq is the podcast that I started.
- 1:53:34A couple years ago and I did one season of it.
- 1:53:37Maybe eight or nine episodes. just interviewing different
- 1:53:40different men trying to get their ideas on what they think
- 1:53:44masculinity is and And then I just kind of put it to the back
- 1:53:48burner to be honest. I I thought it was done and then
- 1:53:53all the sudden and kind of getting nudged to dust the
- 1:53:56cobwebs off and get back out on the Airways.
- 1:53:59Because again, I do feel like I'm cold to be someone of a
- 1:54:04voice in this hour, although I resist that I resist the call A
- 1:54:09lot of times because I'm very introverted and I don't like
- 1:54:12being very outgoing but I can't grow in my comfort zone and a
- 1:54:17specially. I want to be obedient to the
- 1:54:21Lord above all. So, So yeah, that's the podcast.
- 1:54:26The man demo. It was the man demick show.
- 1:54:29I believe. I'm going to be changing it to
- 1:54:31the mannequin effect similar to like the Mandela effect.
- 1:54:35I love it. Um, so I kind of like that play
- 1:54:38on words a little bit better. Yeah.
- 1:54:40Um, so I think I'm gonna change that for season 2.
- 1:54:45Oh man, that's amazing. Okay, so we got the pandemic
- 1:54:49effect and then you know, I literally took a shot of your
- 1:54:54fire cider a little bit ago where can people get their hands
- 1:54:59on that? Because they really is a game
- 1:55:00changer. I'm not just saying that I
- 1:55:03believe in holistic health, I believe that God provided
- 1:55:05everything that we possibly need.
- 1:55:07I turn away from pharmakeia as much as I can.
- 1:55:10I believe in natural remedies where can people either find you
- 1:55:15or contact, you or order some of your your products?
- 1:55:19Yes. So right now, I'm on mainly on
- 1:55:24Facebook and Instagram Facebook, just under Nick long, and then
- 1:55:28Instagram I have my Nicole lipstick so it's just n.
- 1:55:32I c k h, o l i s t i c. That's more of my.
- 1:55:38More of my nutrition stuff. and, So yeah, I'm so on there.
- 1:55:45And then, you know, You contact me send me a direct message
- 1:55:49through there and mostly I'm doing natural remedies for
- 1:55:54people who are local. I'm not really into the the
- 1:56:00shipping method yet although I I think I might be at some point.
- 1:56:05Um, but I love being a teacher. Um, I think the word doctor in
- 1:56:11the Bible, if I'm not mistaken, um, if you look up the root
- 1:56:15word, it actually means teacher. Which is pretty interesting.
- 1:56:20A doctor should be a teacher. So so that's what I want to
- 1:56:26embody. You know, people have prophesied
- 1:56:28over me saying, you know, you're going to be the standard.
- 1:56:31You're you're gonna be a doctor even though you don't have the
- 1:56:34titles or a white coat. And we just humbling you know.
- 1:56:38I yeah I tried to be modest with that, but I do believe there's
- 1:56:44some truth to that that more people are going to start
- 1:56:47seeking out, natural holistic, remedies and Alternatives and
- 1:56:50people like myself and you know a lot of other holistic healers
- 1:56:56out there are going to be Raising the, the standard of
- 1:57:01what true health is and Wellness.
- 1:57:04So so yeah I would be more than happy to educate you on the
- 1:57:10natural remedies and actually teach you how to do it yourself,
- 1:57:14right? I don't mind doing it for people
- 1:57:16you know I know I need to make a living and whatnot um but I want
- 1:57:22to be a doctor that teaches You had to do it yourself.
- 1:57:27Right? Because I think why not?
- 1:57:29You know, I don't want people being super dependent on me.
- 1:57:33At the end of the day, we gotta take matters into our own hands.
- 1:57:36And, you know, start learning how to do these things for
- 1:57:40ourselves and our families, Absolutely.
- 1:57:44Well man, it was a pleasure and I am humbled by your presence
- 1:57:48and I think the listeners will definitely love this message and
- 1:57:52I'd love to you know, further this conversation at a later
- 1:57:56point, we'll make it a two-part or maybe even a three-part.
- 1:57:59I know that we just kind of introduced a lot of different
- 1:58:03topics, but we barely scratched the surface.
- 1:58:05And I'd love to take a deeper dive into these topics.
- 1:58:07Yeah, and just want to say a man, I'm humbled and honored to
- 1:58:12have you here. And man, I love you.
- 1:58:14I'm so grateful for your Brotherhood and your fellowship
- 1:58:17and man, I can't wait to run it back again.
- 1:58:22Amen. Amen.
- 1:58:23I love you too, brother. Thank you for bringing me on.
- 1:58:25Here is an honor and I feel privileged to to be sharing this
- 1:58:31information and just spreading the word, you know, even if just
- 1:58:34one soul Get something from this, then it's all worth it.
- 1:58:39Amen. Would you want to?
- 1:58:42Head us out in prayer. Absolutely.
- 1:58:47Father, I just want to thank you.
- 1:58:48First and foremost as our father, because above all, we
- 1:58:53need to know that you're our dad, your Abba.
- 1:58:57We can come to you as a child, as a son would with their
- 1:59:01Earthly parent. And so, we just kind of way
- 1:59:06Lord. And just Just pray that you
- 1:59:08would teach us how to how to commune with you how to
- 1:59:11Fellowship. Should we how did, how did have
- 1:59:13conversation with you? Lord you know, these are basic
- 1:59:16fundamental things that I think sometimes we Overlook Lord.
- 1:59:19And and as men, you know, I I just really would love for us to
- 1:59:24all be able to learn, you know, how to Have dialogue with you.
- 1:59:29Just keep it simple how to just spend time with you Lord, You
- 1:59:34know, I I don't want to get caught in.
- 1:59:36To, we got to do certain things, we got to listen to certain
- 1:59:39music to be able to enter into your presence, Lord, even though
- 1:59:44we know that you're everywhere, you know, you say that you're
- 1:59:47with us wherever we go. To not be discouraged to not
- 1:59:51lose heart. So father I pray that you would
- 1:59:54just give us the understanding of who you are and who we are in
- 1:59:59you who are just continue to confirm our identity and you
- 2:00:03over and over again. Or until it's just second
- 2:00:06nature. We just know who we are, or let
- 2:00:10us not complicate things anything any more than that.
- 2:00:13Father, we need to know who we are as men.
- 2:00:18And especially for the Times we're living in Lord.
- 2:00:21So we I thank you Father God for this time together.
- 2:00:24I pray that every every man out there would be blessed by by
- 2:00:28hearing this and and women too who need more understanding in
- 2:00:33this area and just want to learn more bless those who would hear
- 2:00:37it? Father, I pray that that the
- 2:00:41seed of the word would fall on good soil of their hearts and it
- 2:00:45would bear much fruit in Jesus name.
- 2:01:01Ah, straight from the heavens. He really All of my life, I
- 2:01:07would be to the Bone. All in my life, I didn't have no
- 2:01:10hope all of my life. I was thinking on track.
- 2:01:12All in my life, I didn't handle it.
