- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey friends, we are back with yet another OnCore episode
- 0:02Speaker 1: of Girls Gone Hallmark. This time it's the Love on
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Danube series of movies. These originally aired back in
- 0:09Speaker 1: fall of twenty twenty four on Hallmark Plus and that's
- 0:12Speaker 1: when we reviewed them, but we are re airing our
- 0:15Speaker 1: reviews in honor of their premiere on the Hallmark channel. Enjoy.
- 0:22Speaker 2: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark or Hallmark Review podcast. I'm
- 0:45Speaker 1: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark movie fan.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater.
- 0:50Speaker 1: When the podcast is over, follow us on Instagram for
- 0:53Speaker 1: more from us. We are Girls Gone Hallmark as well
- 0:56Speaker 1: as Megan and Wendy.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Are you looking for a Hallmark f Facebook group to
- 1:01Speaker 2: talk about all the movies you'd love and even hate,
- 1:06Speaker 2: I mean anything goes over there. Absolutely come find us
- 1:10Speaker 2: we are Girls Gone Hallmark in Facebook groups. I will
- 1:14Speaker 2: also leave a link in the show notes you can

- 1:20Speaker 1: And if you want to share your thoughts on our podcast,
- 1:22Speaker 1: one of the best ways you can do that is
- 1:24Speaker 1: by leaving us a review. You can drop that review
- 1:29Speaker 1: and a five star rating. In the Apple Podcast app.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I would like to share a review from Renda, who
- 1:35Speaker 1: was so lovely, because what you may or may not
- 1:37Speaker 1: know is that if you leave an Apple podcast review,
- 1:41Speaker 1: Apple does not immediately publish that. They put a hold
- 1:43Speaker 1: on it, and then I don't know if they're actually
- 1:46Speaker 1: reading it to determine that if there's no like whatever.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It takes a few days for it to appear. But
- 1:51Speaker 1: she was worried that it hadn't gone to her, and
- 1:52Speaker 1: she emailed a review to us. But it did go live,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and I'd like to share it with you. This review
- 1:56Speaker 1: says five stars. By the way, these Girls Gone Home
- 2:00Speaker 1: produce a great review podcast. It's clear they are good
- 2:03Speaker 1: friends and enjoy dishing on all things Hollwark. I like
- 2:06Speaker 1: that they talk about the latest news and the cast
- 2:08Speaker 1: crew background work as well as the actual review. Feels
- 2:11Speaker 1: like a casual conversation despite all of the prep work
- 2:14Speaker 1: they do. THEREFOREMU is consistent. But I also enjoy their
- 2:17Speaker 1: occasional adventure down a rabbit hole just despice things up.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Listen to their podcast. You won't regret it.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Thank you, Brenda. She's in our group too.
- 2:25Speaker 1: By the way, thank you, Brenda. I'd like to also
- 2:29Speaker 1: share one last piece of feedback. If you listen on Spotify,
- 2:32Speaker 1: you can leave comments below each episode, and I did
- 2:37Speaker 1: recently share that I discovered that I need to approve
- 2:40Speaker 1: those as they come through and I am now doing that.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And we did receive a comment this morning on our
- 2:47Speaker 1: interview with Kimberly Sastad that dropped yesterday, and that says,
- 2:52Speaker 1: so glad you touched on three wis When and a
- 2:54Speaker 1: Boy In this conversation, it was lovely to hear Kimberly
- 2:56Speaker 1: talk about Margaret Collins role in this film. Can't wait
- 3:00Speaker 1: to see what this sequel has in store for all
- 3:01Speaker 1: the characters who won our hearts in the first movie.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I'm excited to see that play out too, that whatever's
- 3:08Speaker 2: storyline Markret Colin is going to have in that movie,
- 3:11Speaker 2: indeed specifically because Kimberly sassets said something about it. So
- 3:15Speaker 2: I'm just looking forward to it.
- 3:17Speaker 1: If you haven't listened to Kimberly Sastat's interview that just dropped,
- 3:20Speaker 1: we would encourage you to do so. Also, she did
- 3:22Speaker 1: say in that interview she believes that the second movie
- 3:24Speaker 1: might be better than the first.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I still can't believe we got Kimberly sustad to come
- 3:29Speaker 2: on our podcast.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I can't believe it either.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Pretty exciting.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It came together really quickly too.
- 3:36Speaker 2: It sure did.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Having worked out great. The Real West drops this weekend,
- 3:40Speaker 1: so if you haven't listened to her interview, hop on over.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I want to talk to some Hallmark News you haven't
- 3:46Speaker 1: been paying attention. Countdown to Christmas schedule dropped last week
- 3:52Speaker 1: and we recorded a two part first impressions series of
- 3:56Speaker 1: the schedule and at the end of those two parts,
- 3:59Speaker 1: those are available in our regular podcast feed if you
- 4:01Speaker 1: haven't listened. They dropped on Friday and Saturday. We discussed
- 4:05Speaker 1: some names that were missing from the count and a
- 4:07Speaker 1: Christmas lineup, and in my Facebook feed an article this
- 4:11Speaker 1: morning from heavy dot com appeared talking about some of
- 4:13Speaker 1: those names and why they might be missing. First up,
- 4:16Speaker 1: we discussed Brennan Elliott. Yeah, Elliott, on an episode of
- 4:22Speaker 1: the Swing My Heart podcast, which came out earlier this month,
- 4:25Speaker 1: said I don't think I'll be doing a Christmas movie.
- 4:28Speaker 1: There was a script that came across my desk. I
- 4:30Speaker 1: never say no, and I probably feel a little guilty
- 4:33Speaker 1: about it, but I said no, thinking there might be
- 4:35Speaker 1: something else but unfortunately.
- 4:37Speaker 2: There was a hot take. I wonder where he turned down.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I'm dying to know.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Wow.
- 4:44Speaker 1: For what it's worth, he is developing a series. It
- 4:48Speaker 1: was first discussed on the Homewark Mysteries and More podcasts
- 4:51Speaker 1: last March, but he did reveal that it is still
- 4:54Speaker 1: moving forward that series in a follow up episode for Hallmark.
- 4:59Speaker 2: He's developed in a series. Oh that's cool.
- 5:02Speaker 1: It's a mystery series that will shoot increase, ooh fancy.
- 5:07Speaker 1: He also will be at Homer Christmas Experience in Kansas
- 5:11Speaker 1: City one weekend. Next up. Missing from the lineup Bethany
- 5:16Speaker 1: Joy Lens. No specific word from Bethany Joy Lens about
- 5:22Speaker 1: why she's not in the movie. However, she is promoting
- 5:25Speaker 1: her current memoir, Jennifer Vampires, and she will be hitting
- 5:30Speaker 1: the road for a book tour after the book drops
- 5:33Speaker 1: in late October. Oh okay, so she's got other stuff
- 5:36Speaker 1: going on. Another name missing that we didn't call out,
- 5:41Speaker 1: but Luke McFarlane from one mister right sexy clause? What
- 5:47Speaker 1: was that, Monna be.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Mister sexy clause? Are we gonna do this again?
- 5:53Speaker 1: I just remember the hot, steamy scene of the car. Anyway,
- 5:56Speaker 1: Luke mcfartland is not in a movie this year. However,
- 6:00Speaker 1: he is filming an unscripted series for Hallmark plus.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Homes where the Heart is Yeah, he's like building houses
- 6:07Speaker 2: or something, so he's busy.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Autumn Racer was also called out. She was in Junebug.
- 6:13Speaker 1: But Autumn Racer has a according to this article, busy
- 6:17Speaker 1: building her work as a spiritual guide teacher and leading
- 6:20Speaker 1: personal growth workshops and coaching clients. She also will be
- 6:24Speaker 1: at the Hallmark Christmas Experience. I wonder if she's moving
- 6:27Speaker 1: out of acting. Women can have it all. So Victor
- 6:32Speaker 1: Wenster is not in the lineup. It such a shame,
- 6:35Speaker 1: butde's busy with Hannah Swinson. A Pie to Die For
- 6:39Speaker 1: does start filming October fifteenth.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Are we certain that's going to be the name? That
- 6:44Speaker 2: is the working title, A Pie to Die For?
- 6:48Speaker 1: Okay? I believe there's another Hannah Swinson in line to
- 6:50Speaker 1: film directly after that. If you're missing your favorite Hallmark stars,
- 6:54Speaker 1: they're all busy. They're all doing stuff. Also notably missing
- 6:57Speaker 1: from the countdown a Christmas line up is a Mahogany move.
- 7:00Speaker 2: By the way, nice take that sucks.
- 7:04Speaker 1: It does suck. And there's also as far as I
- 7:07Speaker 1: can tell from the synopsis that we've seen and there's
- 7:09Speaker 1: no strong like LGBTQ storyline, like, yes, we have the
- 7:14Speaker 1: Cherry Lane Van Bennett, Vincent Rodriguez, the third Cherry Lane.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That's not a new story.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Why hope Hallmark surprises us?
- 7:23Speaker 1: I hope they do too. Okay, moving on, let's hear
- 7:26Speaker 1: a synopsis four. Love on the Danube, a royal getaway.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Heartbroken after being jilted at the Altar, Sandra, a straight
- 7:36Speaker 2: talk and urban art gallery manager, takes her honeymoon anyway
- 7:40Speaker 2: and meets a charming European gentleman who shares her passion
- 7:45Speaker 2: for art. However, trust and deception are an issue. Stars
- 7:50Speaker 2: Dan Janott and Jessica Seposts.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Did Jessica Seapos's character Ava strike you as straight talking? No? Yeah,
- 8:00Speaker 1: let's get into it. Let's talk some news and notes.
- 8:03Speaker 1: The Royal Getaway edition of Love on the Danie was
- 8:06Speaker 1: directed by Norma Bailey, who has sixty five directing credits,
- 8:10Speaker 1: including two episodes of the Way Home for Hallmark. Traditional
- 8:13Speaker 1: directing credits include episodes of Superman and Lois and with
- 8:17Speaker 1: An E, both on Netflix, as well as Rain and Outlander.
- 8:21Speaker 2: That's the real wide range of projects. It's kind of cool.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Aubrey Day wrote the script for Love on the Danube
- 8:29Speaker 2: Royal Getaway. Aubrey has two writing credits. His second credit
- 8:32Speaker 2: is The Dancing Detective A Deadly Tango.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Dan Janotte stars as Joe Just Call Me Joe Name
- 8:39Speaker 1: that movie. In addition to his turn as Ryan Slash
- 8:42Speaker 1: Pinstripe on The Bold Type. He has appeared in nine
- 8:44Speaker 1: Hallmark movies plus the Good Witch series, for a total
- 8:47Speaker 1: of forty three acting credits. He will appear in All
- 8:50Speaker 1: I Need for Christmas this count Down to Christmas season.
- 8:53Speaker 1: He also appeared on the series Rain, a series for
- 8:55Speaker 1: which Norman Bailey directed a couple of episodes.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Jessica Sipos played Ava. Jessica has twenty five acting credits,
- 9:02Speaker 2: which include thirty eight episodes of Chesapeake Shores, Betty's Bad
- 9:06Speaker 2: Luck in Love, and a role in Soccer Mom Madam,
- 9:10Speaker 2: which also stars Girls Gone. Hallmark fave Matti Finocchio also
- 9:15Speaker 2: missing from the Countdown the Christmas. First of all, a
- 9:18Speaker 2: lot of the additional actors haven't been named in these movies,
- 9:23Speaker 2: so hopefully we see Maddy show up.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Katherine Disher, Mark Holden and Catherine Drysdale all return in
- 9:30Speaker 1: their roles as Betty, Captain, Maguson, and Teddy, respectively.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Stephen Pacey plays Butler Slash Valet Reynolds. This is Stephen's
- 9:39Speaker 2: first appearance on Hallmark. His past roles include House of
- 9:42Speaker 2: the Dragon, Returned to House on Haunted Hill, and the
- 9:46Speaker 2: TV series adaptation of the book Flat Share.
- 9:50Speaker 1: The book Flat Chair. I do believe that the series
- 9:53Speaker 1: never aired in the United States unless it finally has,
- 9:56Speaker 1: but I have been dying to see it. H Chai
- 10:00Speaker 1: Faraday Brown plays Tobias. Chai has seven total acting credits,
- 10:03Speaker 1: including the series Right Swipe and the surveyor Love on
- 10:08Speaker 1: the Danube.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Royal Getaway was filmed on location in a Budapest.
- 10:13Speaker 1: What was your first impression?
- 10:15Speaker 2: Remember when we recorded our review for the first movie, Yeah,
- 10:19Speaker 2: and I was like, I'm so happy to get a
- 10:21Speaker 2: European movie with no royals. Well, I spoke far too soon.
- 10:26Speaker 2: My first impression is Joe a royal name. Joe a
- 10:32Speaker 2: little thing about this movie, but I thought they were calling.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Him a different names, like Joseph. It was, it was,
- 10:38Speaker 1: but it just felt like he's clearly from this fake
- 10:43Speaker 1: country of Baldonia. So the fact that his name is Joe.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Mm hmmm felt the stake as that beard he had
- 10:50Speaker 2: at the beginning of them. That was the first thing
- 10:52Speaker 2: I wrote down in my notes, Holy beard, I said
- 10:56Speaker 2: loud when I saw it in the stripe.
- 10:57Speaker 1: With a beard, I was glad it went away.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Speaking of his name. I watch everything with subtitles on,
- 11:03Speaker 2: and my subtitles were crazy bananas.
- 11:05Speaker 1: In this it was like a swear word. When they
- 11:07Speaker 1: would write his name.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It was scared letters and symbols. I was like, what
- 11:11Speaker 2: is happening here?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yes, all right? What did you like?
- 11:16Speaker 2: I enjoyed Dan Jenot and Jessica Sipos in this movie.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I feel like Dan I'm calling him Dan. That seems
- 11:26Speaker 2: that seems like weird. I feel like Dan Jannot. He
- 11:30Speaker 2: for me, consistently brings charm to his roles. And Jessica
- 11:36Speaker 2: I thought like she had like this energy about her
- 11:40Speaker 2: that I liked. But two things. One, he has this
- 11:45Speaker 2: accent right in this movie, and I was like, wait
- 11:47Speaker 2: a minute, is that a natural accent for him? Has
- 11:50Speaker 2: he been playing like an American accent? So then I
- 11:53Speaker 2: had to like google it up. I found an interview
- 11:55Speaker 2: with him. I was like, oh, okay, he does not
- 11:58Speaker 2: have an accent. It's so weird to me that he
- 12:02Speaker 2: played a dude with an accent in this movie. When
- 12:06Speaker 2: I expected it from the February, when he was in
- 12:09Speaker 2: those Jane Austen movies and he played an American in
- 12:12Speaker 2: those movies.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I was trying to remember if he had an accent,
- 12:15Speaker 1: incense and sensibility.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I don't think he did. I think he played an American.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I could be wrong. Oh my gosh, I don't know.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I'm second guessing everything right now.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I'm not sure that is not his accent. I actually
- 12:26Speaker 1: have a common of his accent. Later.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I have one more little side note thought, Jessica Sipos
- 12:33Speaker 2: to me, looks like a very young Madonna when Madonna
- 12:37Speaker 2: was Madonna Jacone or whatever her really Yeah, you want
- 12:44Speaker 2: to see a picture.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I had to pull it up. Okay, well, Wendy
- 12:47Speaker 1: pulls up that picture. I'll tell you some things that
- 12:48Speaker 1: I liked. I actually kind of like the animated intro
- 12:50Speaker 1: we get in this movie.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I do too.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I think it's real cute, and they appear to be
- 12:54Speaker 1: custom for each movie. I'm gonna be honest. I didn't
- 12:57Speaker 1: go back and rewatch the first one to see if
- 12:59Speaker 1: they're different watching them side by side, but it felt
- 13:01Speaker 1: like it had some specifics for this movie.
- 13:04Speaker 2: You don't think they look alike? No, you're crazy, Yes
- 13:09Speaker 2: they do.
- 13:10Speaker 1: No, we're gonna put a side by side of young
- 13:13Speaker 1: Vianna and look at this. Can see your face? I can't.
- 13:18Speaker 1: We're gonna put a side by side in our Facebook
- 13:19Speaker 1: or if you want to see it and come vote
- 13:21Speaker 1: if you believe that these two look alike. I don't
- 13:24Speaker 1: see it. But what do I know? What? You don't
- 13:28Speaker 1: see it?
- 13:29Speaker 2: Their bone structure is spot on the same.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Okay, I don't see it. I'll drop it in.
- 13:35Speaker 2: The Facebook group and you guys can tell me I'm wrong.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I also agree with you. I found Dan and Jessica
- 13:42Speaker 1: to be pretty charming together. I continue to believe that
- 13:46Speaker 1: Catherine Disher is a really lovely presence in addition to
- 13:48Speaker 1: these movies. Yes, she just like if I want her
- 13:52Speaker 1: to be on my cruise, I want to be like, oh,
- 13:54Speaker 1: what wisdom are you going to impart to me? Because
- 13:55Speaker 1: she has this scene in each movie where she's kind
- 13:59Speaker 1: of like the voice of reason. Yeah, she like swoops
- 14:02Speaker 1: in Yeah, and I really like it.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I think it's nice to be befriended by somebody like that. Yes,
- 14:08Speaker 2: I would be open to meeting somebody like that on
- 14:11Speaker 2: our cruise.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a great point. And I think, you know,
- 14:16Speaker 1: she's traveling alone in these movies, and I think it
- 14:22Speaker 1: could be really easy to paint her as like kind
- 14:24Speaker 1: of needy, like she's meeting this connection, when in reality,
- 14:29Speaker 1: she's adding so much to the right cuation.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, she could easily go like to be like some
- 14:36Speaker 2: busy body of the ship or something like that. No,
- 14:38Speaker 2: I agree with you. She adds to the narrative and
- 14:41Speaker 2: I really enjoy it. For me, Catherine Disher, I thought,
- 14:48Speaker 2: of course, we saw her in the first movie. I
- 14:50Speaker 2: thought she fits seamlessly into this story as well, like
- 14:54Speaker 2: it makes sense that she's there. What I really wanted
- 14:57Speaker 2: to see more of was her and Reynolds.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Their friendship chemistry was great. Am I like it.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I feel like there could be more there for sure.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And then he was like, oh, stay with me or
- 15:07Speaker 2: whatever at the end, and she's like, I gotta go,
- 15:10Speaker 2: I gotta get back on my boat. Yeah, oh, I
- 15:14Speaker 2: liked it. Comes Brendan Penny, I gotta go, b friend.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Brendan Penny.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Now at the end when they're reconciling, it was like,
- 15:24Speaker 1: come to Chicago, I'll show you the bean, and he's like,
- 15:26Speaker 1: you can show me the bean. I have no idea
- 15:28Speaker 1: what that means. Let's do it anyway. I thought it
- 15:30Speaker 1: was cute.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he said something early on too. She
- 15:32Speaker 2: made some kind of comment. He's like, I don't know
- 15:33Speaker 2: what that means. I was like, did you just were
- 15:37Speaker 2: you hiding under a rock? How do you not know?
- 15:40Speaker 2: The bean in Chicago is like a huge landmark? Right,
- 15:45Speaker 2: how do you How are you not have.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Instagram in Baldonia or wherever?
- 15:50Speaker 2: Where is he actually from? Because wait, Baldonia. He is
- 15:53Speaker 2: actually from Baldonia, which is a fictional country. I get it.
- 15:58Speaker 2: But I was thinking like he made Baldon up no
- 16:01Speaker 2: no to her because she was like, I'm not familiar anyway.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 16:06Speaker 2: One last thing that I liked, well, two more things.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I love the scenery. These on location shoots do really
- 16:12Speaker 2: elevate something like.
- 16:15Speaker 1: In the movie. For me, I think there's a difference
- 16:19Speaker 1: between leaning into the location and asking the location to
- 16:22Speaker 1: do too much work, and I don't think they're doing
- 16:24Speaker 1: that here. I think the location adds to the movie
- 16:27Speaker 1: as opposed to a movie like Love and Niagara Falls.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Where you were asking I didn't.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Speaking of Dan Janata.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but I thought they were asking too much of
- 16:37Speaker 1: the location. They were leaning too hard. To your point,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I think it the location elevates these movies, and I
- 16:45Speaker 1: think it makes sense, like it all works like they're
- 16:49Speaker 1: on this cruise. This cruise goes to these beautiful locations
- 16:53Speaker 1: they get. In this case, they found an opportunity to like, Oh,
- 16:56Speaker 1: obviously they're going to go to museums, and that makes sense.
- 16:59Speaker 1: It works well together without asking the location to carry
- 17:05Speaker 1: the movie on back.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, What do you think about their kiss at
- 17:09Speaker 2: the end?
- 17:10Speaker 1: I liked their kiss at the end.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I think it was pretty steamy. Actually, yes, but that
- 17:14Speaker 2: was good.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Yes, I mean did you love her dress? I loved
- 17:18Speaker 1: her I did?
- 17:18Speaker 2: She looked very pretty? Yes, I thought so too.
- 17:22Speaker 1: What did you wish for? Well?
- 17:25Speaker 2: I thought this movie was painfully predictable.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Oh yes, am and.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Hallmark formula to a t the kind I don't like.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I a thousand percent agree with you. How many opportunities
- 17:45Speaker 1: do you have to do the right thing and tell her?
- 17:47Speaker 1: And you're just like, I'll tell her tomorrow. I'll tell
- 17:49Speaker 1: her tomorrow. I'll tell her am and then she you know,
- 17:54Speaker 1: you like see it happening, the woman taking the photo
- 17:57Speaker 1: as they're being pretending to be engaged, and then the
- 18:00Speaker 1: photo comes out, and then she says, also, I never
- 18:05Speaker 1: need another movie with the fake royal ever again, as
- 18:07Speaker 1: long as I live me neither.
- 18:09Speaker 2: It's my least favorite trope of it all. I hate it.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I really I didn't enjoy all the Actually it.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Was Hygiene's light. It was yes, you know, like you're
- 18:25Speaker 2: trying to like turn her away from the queen or
- 18:29Speaker 2: whatever it was.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah, so the queen doesn't recognize him, yeah, bellow royal.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I just was like, eugh, But.
- 18:38Speaker 2: You know, you said, like, oh, how many opportunities did
- 18:41Speaker 2: he have to tell her the truth? True? But I
- 18:45Speaker 2: get annoyed with the female leads in these movies, like, yes,
- 18:48Speaker 2: I understand that he's been like fibbing to her, but
- 18:51Speaker 2: they didn't get like married and live a life. And
- 18:54Speaker 2: then she learns right, yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 1: It's been over the course of a week.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, And I feel like sometimes she could have not
- 19:03Speaker 2: she in particular, but women in these Hallmark movies could
- 19:06Speaker 2: be like a little more understanding to the situation, like, Okay, yes,
- 19:10Speaker 2: he is from a royal family, and I'm sure there's
- 19:14Speaker 2: things Americans don't understand about royals and their protocols and
- 19:18Speaker 2: their secrets and whatever. Right could she be a little
- 19:23Speaker 2: more understanding why he was there undercover?
- 19:26Speaker 1: You know?
- 19:27Speaker 2: Not?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm torn on this one because he is in
- 19:31Speaker 1: a position where people have been interested in him solely
- 19:35Speaker 1: because of the fact that he's a royal. Women friends
- 19:39Speaker 1: want to be a part of that. But to me,
- 19:43Speaker 1: that problem is solved on like day two, when she's
- 19:45Speaker 1: hanging out with you for you m. She's already interested
- 19:49Speaker 1: you guys have already built a rapport. I can kind
- 19:52Speaker 1: of understand. But from her side, she's like, I went
- 19:56Speaker 1: into all these very personal details about like the end
- 19:59Speaker 1: of my and why I didn't get married, and I
- 20:02Speaker 1: opened up to you, and you because you asked me to.
- 20:05Speaker 1: He asked her these questions and then didn't give her
- 20:08Speaker 1: the same courtesy. So well, I do think her reaction's
- 20:12Speaker 1: overblown for only having known him. I also think there's
- 20:16Speaker 1: an imbalance of information sharing.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Sure, but also like do you air all your dirty
- 20:22Speaker 2: laundry with someone you just met, like for four days?
- 20:25Speaker 2: On her side too, reserve a little bit lady, like
- 20:28Speaker 2: you don't need to be like, yes, I broke up
- 20:31Speaker 2: with my fiance and here I am on my cruise
- 20:34Speaker 2: all alone. Like reel it in. Let's a little build
- 20:40Speaker 2: some mystery, That's what I say, Like, build some suspense.
- 20:43Speaker 2: A little mystery between is fine, like for me. Also,
- 20:48Speaker 2: I complained about this in the first movie too, there's
- 20:50Speaker 2: not enough boat.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Stuff in this in this movie boat stuff.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I show me the cruise, show me the stuff on
- 20:56Speaker 2: the cruise.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm really curious for movie three because this movie
- 21:00Speaker 1: three is about a cruise. It's about a rom com cruise,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and so I'm curious if we're gonna get more boat stuff,
- 21:07Speaker 1: cause it doesn't make sense to have rom com cruise
- 21:08Speaker 1: if they're just cruising through the streets of Budapest.
- 21:11Speaker 2: They're like, Hey, we're going to hang out with your
- 21:15Speaker 2: favorite rom com stars at this random restaurant. Yeah, more
- 21:19Speaker 2: boat stuff, Well, well we'll have to see. We'll have
- 21:22Speaker 2: to see.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Speaking of boat stuff, another green screen moment, if we
- 21:25Speaker 1: can move on to digit see that, Yes, ma'am out
- 21:28Speaker 1: the windows, did you catch Yeah, it's a couple times
- 21:31Speaker 1: pretty well done. Actually, I was like wondering about the
- 21:33Speaker 1: logistics of that when it's just like the green screen window.
- 21:37Speaker 1: But you know they're never going past anything ugly. It's
- 21:40Speaker 1: always some like gorgeously beautiful location behind Reynolds or behind Eva.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Right, I have only one Did you see that? And
- 21:50Speaker 2: it was only that I clocked every now and then
- 21:53Speaker 2: that Dan Janot would go in and out of that accent.
- 21:56Speaker 1: The only time I noticed it is when he was
- 21:58Speaker 1: doing it intentional. They were in the jewelry shop, pretending
- 22:03Speaker 1: to be engaged, and he drops into an American accent.
- 22:07Speaker 2: No, it wasn't there. It was almost like when he
- 22:09Speaker 2: would end a sentence or start a sentence and it
- 22:13Speaker 2: would just kind of just sound like American English. Eh,
- 22:18Speaker 2: I was nippicking.
- 22:20Speaker 1: There is a moment where you can tell that the
- 22:22Speaker 1: scenes are filmed out of order, and you can tell
- 22:24Speaker 1: by Jessica Ceposts hair. Oh, the scene when they go
- 22:28Speaker 1: to Huffler's studio. When they're walking to the studio, it's
- 22:32Speaker 1: a real like gray misty day and her curls have
- 22:34Speaker 1: kind of turned to waves at that moment. Then inside
- 22:37Speaker 1: the studio she's got like perfectly curled hair. Yeah, and
- 22:41Speaker 1: then later you can see like kind of the in
- 22:44Speaker 1: between where the curls are starting. Because they're walking and
- 22:47Speaker 1: it's real misty, you can see the curl. This is
- 22:49Speaker 1: the kind of thing I as a person with hair
- 22:51Speaker 1: similar to hers. Notice how the humidity is affecting her hair.
- 22:58Speaker 1: It matters not at all. Would you're right?
- 23:00Speaker 2: Movie? I gave it two stars?
- 23:03Speaker 1: Three? What did we give last?
- 23:05Speaker 2: I'd like the first one. I think I gave the
- 23:07Speaker 2: first one like three and a half stars. I like
- 23:09Speaker 2: the first one a lot more than this one.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I did too.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I'm praying the next one is better.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I think it will be.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I'm just on story alone. It's gotta be better.
