Transcript
- 0:00KSEV Radio, The Voice of Texas. My name is Craig Coglianese. He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 0:06And I think everything works now. How you doing, buddy?
- 0:09You know, it's about time.
- 0:11Okay. So now you hear us, you hear programming, you hear the music.
- 0:14I hear everything.
- 0:15Look at you. And you don't hear yourself twice?
- 0:18No.
- 0:18Okay.
- 0:19I think you've done it.
- 0:21Okay.
- 0:22That last string.
- 0:22Okay.
- 0:23That last Dixie card.
- 0:24And then you told me to stop whining and complaining off the air, which I loved a lot too. That's awesome.
- 0:29Yeah, because it's Monday.
- 0:31It's Monday.
- 0:32Everybody whines and complains on a Monday.
- 0:34You know what?
- 0:35I don't.
- 0:36Okay, except Wayne.
- 0:37I forgot.
- 0:38I actually had a very pleasant weekend.
- 0:40What did you do?
- 0:41Because you and I had talked and you were planning on maybe hitting the beach and then
- 0:44I don't think you did that.
- 0:46No, because the weather guys scare you.
- 0:49You know, you're like, right?
- 0:51I gotta tell you.
- 0:51They scare, yes, they scared both of us.
- 0:53Yeah, but I think it's really cruel because they said it was going to be like 90% chance
- 1:01of rain like all day Saturday and all day Sunday.
- 1:05I had visions of floating in a boat down Buffalo Bayou.
- 1:11So Saturday morning, I was thinking about going down to the island and getting a hotel
- 1:16and just kind of hanging out, cause some trouble.
- 1:19Why not?
- 1:20wild wild wave and but the but the they scared me so I didn't do anything and
- 1:27then all day Saturday I was outside it was like it didn't rain one I didn't have
- 1:32a drop of rain like until last night maybe so okay I basically sacrificed do
- 1:38you care about my story I do I hundred percent okay like am I boring you or
- 1:44something without I was making sure all the technology was working and it was
- 1:47You need to just relax. Everything's fine.
- 1:49I think so.
- 1:50And so I didn't go anywhere at all.
- 1:54And last night I had some black beans and rice and plantains and some chicken.
- 1:59I like not going anywhere. My wife hates not going anywhere. She hates it.
- 2:04If we spend a weekend where we go nowhere, it drives her crazy.
- 2:06And I would be so happy if it ever happened.
- 2:10No, I've got to keep moving. I've got spookies.
- 2:14You know what spookies is?
- 2:15I do not know what spookies is.
- 2:17Really and you're from the north bookies is a Yiddish word. Okay, I'm not Yiddish and spookies means
- 2:23Anson your pants. Oh
- 2:25I have a very hard time just sitting still. Yeah. No, I like to move around. No, I love I love laying around
- 2:33All right. Let's talk about the big investigative piece that you did over the weekend
- 2:36Although I think it might have broken Friday and the reaction to it because the reaction is pretty cool
- 2:42And I'll just say this because you're gonna know everything about it
- 2:45What I love about Dolcefino & Fino Consulting and all the different videos, and this is
- 2:48kissing up to the guy doing it, but I promise it's genuine. I promise it's true. What I love about it
- 2:53is how obvious it is that you're a professional investigator because there's so much right now,
- 3:00so many people who are doing a good job of showing up in the right place, asking the right question,
- 3:06exposing the truth, but they're just not presenting it in a way that's also entertaining.
- 3:10Like there's a lot of people who do it, but in order to have me pay attention for 10 minutes
- 3:16I have to ignore the fact that it's just not really done well and your stuff is both
- 3:21You're asking the right questions in the right place with a fearless attitude and you also create it great
- 3:27So like the whole coverage of it was so interesting
- 3:29But that dude who got in trouble and then yelled at you on his front yard
- 3:34Yeah, you know, so so we're talking about Eugene Howard
- 3:38who is running for a Bizoria County judge.
- 3:41And, you know, I read a little bit about him.
- 3:44I didn't know he was.
- 3:45And I read that he had been given a medal of freedom
- 3:49by President Biden, right?
- 3:51So I'm thinking, well, this kind of must be, you know,
- 3:53must be, you know, top notch guy, whatever.
- 3:56And I started researching him.
- 3:58And we discovered that he had two jobs,
- 4:03one at HISD and one at Fort Bend ISD.
- 4:07But on his LinkedIn page, you don't see them.
- 4:10And the reason you don't see them is because it didn't go so well.
- 4:15First he abandoned his job helping special needs children at HISD.
- 4:21And then he goes to Fort Bend ISD.
- 4:23He doesn't show up for six months.
- 4:24Then he goes to Fort Bend ISD and apparently decided to show his single-member district
- 4:33to a woman who worked at the school district, then sent her pictures and videos.
- 4:41I'm going like, so he can never, he has permanently surrendered his educator license.
- 4:47Well, and let me ask you, let me ask you real quick.
- 4:49Are you always mystified as a investigative journalist when people do the photo version?
- 4:53Because like the, I showed my whatever to somebody thing is a he said, she said.
- 4:58So at least the bad guy has a chance that he can try to convince people he didn't do
- 5:02it, but the photo version, there's no denying that.
- 5:05That's a proof thing.
- 5:06Are you surprised that happens or no?
- 5:08No, you know what?
- 5:09I'm not surprised by much anymore because people, look, people in their personal lives
- 5:14do incredibly stupid things.
- 5:15I've done my share, right?
- 5:17And I generally took the attitude when I was working in TV that as long as their personal
- 5:25stuff didn't interfere with their professional stuff, like if some council member wants to
- 5:31home and wear like high heels and run around a dress. I mean, whatever. I have a good time.
- 5:37You know, I don't care. But like, and I don't mind politicians who drink. I just don't like
- 5:44them to be drunk at city council meetings, right? I mean, that's kind of the wing barometer
- 5:49on this stuff. But this guy, look, we set out to interview all three candidates for
- 5:56Missouri County judge. And the great thing is you would think when you're
- 6:03running for office, which is a job interview, right? It's a job interview
- 6:07that you would love any opportunity to talk to anyone about anything. If you're
- 6:13an authentic politician and you actually believe the BS you spout, then you'll
- 6:21talk to anyone. I will literally I get calls from people that in the media that I know
- 6:28hate me. Right. They hate me. Yeah. And they want to interview with me. And a lot of times,
- 6:35you know, people will just not call those people back. I always call those people back.
- 6:39The Galveston Daily News, which is a left wing that I call it the Galveston Democratic
- 6:46news. They had me on their front page every once in a while and talk about how controversial I am.
- 6:54And I'm, are you still messing around with this technology? No way. Definitely not doing that.
- 6:59Stop touching things. They said how controversial you are, sir. I'm listening to you. Please continue.
- 7:04That's good. Good catch. Controversial. And I love being interviewed by the Galps and New Year's
- 7:11Because I really, I'm not afraid of anything I say, and I think it really helps.
- 7:18I like publicity.
- 7:19Yeah, of course you do.
- 7:21You know, when the Chronicle was going to do a story I made months ago, everyone in
- 7:24my office was going, man, I think it's going to be a hit job on you, man, you know, that
- 7:28left wing newspaper, and ain't going to like you.
- 7:31Now, the article actually wasn't that bad.
- 7:35It really wasn't.
- 7:36Well, I don't know how, I actually, I'll say this one last thing after watching a whole
- 7:39lot more of what you've been putting up on social media. I spent the weekend
- 7:42watching a lot of Dolcefino & Fino reporting. No, I'm just curious because I'm not
- 7:49actually from here originally so for me it's it's different than a lot of other
- 7:52people that you know grew up watching you and I'll say that I don't know how
- 7:56people hate you and that also seems like I'm kissing up to you but I think
- 7:59you tell the whole story and my favorite part of the reporting that we started
- 8:04this conversation talking about is when the guy in the lawn yelled at you that
- 8:08one of the other people he's running against is the person that was the catalyst to the
- 8:11investigation.
- 8:12The biggest shot against you all the time is who's paying Wayne.
- 8:15And you're like, not only did that guy not pay me, he's not at all involved in this and
- 8:19I'll crap on him too.
- 8:20And he crapped on some of the stuff he's done.
- 8:22So like, I think it's hard to accuse you of being partisan in your reporting when you
- 8:28see that.
- 8:29Well, and look, we are asked to look at various things, right?
- 8:35And that's exactly what we do.
- 8:37And it's either there or it ain't there.
- 8:41Like once I know that someone running for county judge has permanently lost their teaching
- 8:46license because they couldn't keep their PP out, I'm going, dude, you're done.
- 8:52I'm sorry.
- 8:53I don't really, I wasn't going to, I wouldn't have voted for the guy anyway.
- 8:56He's a Democrat, but that's beyond the pale.
- 9:01And then you have Kevin Henry, wife Lucinda Henry, who's running as an independent, because
- 9:07She couldn't win as a Republican, so she's running as a defendant.
- 9:11Kevin Henry does a blog there, and I actually have come to his defense when I thought he
- 9:18was being unfairly vetted.
- 9:21But he's running an investigative media site, and virtually every story he's putting out
- 9:27is how great his wife is and how weasily the other people are.
- 9:32Look, I get it.
- 9:33I mean, I deal sometimes with ethical conflicts.
- 9:37I'm investigating the Fort Bend District Attorney's office right now.
- 9:42I haven't done a story yet, so it's breaking news.
- 9:46but we are
- 9:48We are not only following up the fake hate investigation that sort of took off in Fort
- 9:57Big County where they were basically creating fake profiles and making Republicans all seem
- 10:02like they're a bunch of crazy racists.
- 10:05But there's also the election, Brian Middleton's up for reelection and he's one of the five
- 10:11Soros DAs in the state.
- 10:14So there's some soft on crime issues there.
- 10:16But I reached out to him and he doesn't want to talk to me either.
- 10:21Look, I always offer people a chance to sit down like a grown-up and answer questions.
- 10:29I don't give them questions in advance because when you do that, people start coming up with stupid answers that then require you to ask the question another way.
- 10:38Sure.
- 10:38And you go down this into the woods, right?
- 10:42And by the time you finish, you don't even know what the hell the question was anymore.
- 10:45So, and I have, and I will say this, the Brian Milton thing for me is a little person.
- 10:53I will say that, a little person.
- 10:55Because years ago when I was arrested for contempt by Judge Darrell Jordan, the grand
- 11:03jury indicted the judge for official oppression.
- 11:08It was an investigation done by the Fort Bend District Attorney's Office.
- 11:12And he got an indictment against a judge for what he did to me and
- 11:17Brian Middleton threw it out. Now. I always thought it was a political favor. I was on Rodney Ellis's fingerprints were in there somewhere
- 11:24right and so I'm not a fan of Brian Middleton and
- 11:28And when I do these stories over the next few days, I'm gonna have to I'm gonna tell people that look not a fan
- 11:33Right. I have a lot of friends again who are fans
- 11:37What's what's amazing man is and I'll say and I know we were up against another break
- 11:41so I got to take a break in a second here, but I'll say this.
- 11:43What's incredible to me is that you're the antithesis
- 11:46of a typical YouTuber.
- 11:47You got called like some guy trying to make it on YouTube.
- 11:51And some of the things you do are the exact opposite
- 11:53of what all the YouTube kids do.
- 11:55Like you are more transparent about your own motivations.
- 11:59And I think there's some of that missing.
- 12:01There's some sort of well-trained reporter instinct
- 12:06and journalistic credibility that's just missing.
- 12:09Because I gravitate toward, I guess the reason I'm saying this is I gravitate toward independent journalists because I believe they're more likely to give me the actual truth.
- 12:18And I believe that a lot of mainstream media is now inherently biased and intentionally vague in certain ways to control me.
- 12:26But I just, I miss the quality of the content that did come from legacy media that you seem to be capable of doing on your own.
- 12:35Yeah, the only problem is how you pay for it, right?
- 12:39It's very expensive, especially in these public corruption investigations.
- 12:44It's very expensive, and sometimes you begin over here, and then you end up over here,
- 12:50and you're investigating X, and all of a sudden you discover Y.
- 12:55You do your first video, and then people start coming out of the woodwork.
- 12:58Anyone that's ever hated you in your life will come out and go, you think that's bad?
- 13:02years. So, Collin A's did when he was working in WGN in Chicago. So, the social media tends
- 13:12to feed on itself. I really wish the media would spend more time uncovering local politics.
- 13:19They just don't.
- 13:20Amen. They don't. All right. We got to take a break. You can hear the music. I can hear
- 13:23the music. It means we got to take a break. This is KSEV Radio, The Morning Show, The

- 15:33We're on the way.
- 15:34What kind of home do you live in?
- 15:36We live in a two bedroom, high rise condo.
- 15:38A three bedroom family home in the suburbs.
- 15:41A farmhouse on our family ranch
- 15:43passed down through generations.
- 15:46It doesn't matter where you live
- 15:47or what kind of home you have.
- 15:49You all have one thing in common.
- 15:52Gina Inahosa voted to increase your property taxes.
- 15:55not once, not twice, but 40 different times Gina Hinojosa voted to raise your property taxes.
- 16:02If she has her way, you'll be priced out of your own home. Gina Hinojosa is too radical to be governor
- 16:09of Texas. Luckily, Governor Greg Abbott has a better plan. We have to stop the insanity and
- 16:17instead give you a different property tax relief that will do more than cut your property tax
- 16:23built in half forever. You're going to be able to live in your home for the rest of
- 16:27your lives without being priced out of it. Greg Abbott, Governor. Political ad paid

- 16:53KSEV Mornings, the voice of Texas KSEV, Wayne Dolcefino and Craig Coglianese, the Mob Guys.
- 17:04The mob guys.
- 17:06Thrilled to be with you.
- 17:07So much stuff out there to talk about.
- 17:08So many things to do.
- 17:11see if this is now working.
- 17:13Am I, am I, I'm curious, maybe you could put out the number.
- 17:20Hey, I'm Sam Hunger, the voice of Texas KSEV, W
- 17:23I really like Angela Paxton.
- 17:25I really do.
- 17:25I think she's really sharp.
- 17:28And I just thought it was the most tortured thing
- 17:32I've ever seen and I don't know how it helps.
- 17:37Yeah, I don't know.
- 17:38I just don't, I-
- 17:39281-558-5738 is the phone number, 281-558-5738.
- 17:45Did you see the Angela Paxton ad?
- 17:47What do you think of it?
- 17:49And the best question Wayne asked, does it help?
- 17:52Which it doesn't. I think the answer is it doesn't.
- 17:56It was almost like, you know, it was like read through the thing like, I hate him for what he did to me.
- 18:03But hey, sometimes you still got to vote for the team. We want the whole team to win.
- 18:08Yes. Right. Look, this team thing for me and look, I am very conservative about a lot of things. Right.
- 18:17I believe there's some great stories to tell about crime coming down, about
- 18:23fentanyl deaths
- 18:25being obliterated, right? About a
- 18:29president that is tough. I just think and I actually would still lean into
- 18:37immigration. I watched an interview on the
- 18:42Sunday Night in America, the Trey Gowdy Show, and he had the
- 18:46parents of that freshman that was killed by the criminal legal guy and it was
- 18:54such a tearjerker last night about these sanctuary cities who are protecting
- 19:00criminals. Why we ever allowed that narrative, we get was so scared about
- 19:09what happened on a couple of really screwed up occasions, right? Yeah. And I
- 19:16I didn't like the whole, you know,
- 19:18Kristi Noem wearing a flak jacket and, you know,
- 19:22whatever, that's all like show stuff.
- 19:25But a lot of really bad people are gone
- 19:29and it's one of the reasons why crime is down.
- 19:33And I don't know why we are afraid of that.
- 19:36It's almost like when you think you're losing,
- 19:39you don't wanna do anything to own who you are.
- 19:43And I think that's part of our messaging problem is that we need to own
- 20:12Who we are.
- 20:18I think what might motivate more people is what is the right actually, which is one of
- 20:23the questions I think you asked one of the first days we started this show is who are
- 20:27we, what are we supposed to be and what are we supposed to be doing if we get back into
- 20:32office?
- 20:33And I think that's the part that maybe more and more people are looking for and don't
- 20:37think they're hearing enough and all this.
- 20:39Part of that is the go and home thing is like I would have been voting things every day
- 20:46Yeah.
- 20:47Out of, to say, this is what we want to do.
- 20:51Sure.
- 20:51They're stopping us.
- 20:53And I would have started a year ago on the positive economic things.
- 20:58Yeah.
- 20:59There's some really good things going on.
- 21:00There's some manufacturing numbers that look really promising.
- 21:04People are still spending money.
- 21:06They maybe go into debt.
- 21:08But if you look at like the wages are up 3% and inflation is up 3.4%.
- 21:14Really, the end of the earth, that maybe 0.4% of our money we have to spend that we didn't
- 21:25have to spend before.
- 21:26I mean, are people literally jumping out of buildings?
- 21:30I mean, the media has gotten to the point where they...
- 21:35And I say this as someone who duly loves the media, that they just...
- 21:40It's like the end of the earth, right?
- 21:42Yeah, can I can I say that differently and see if you agree with it?
- 21:45You said you dearly loved the media
- 21:46What you mean is you dearly love what you think the media should be you don't love what it currently is, right?
- 21:52Oh, no, it's discussed
- 21:53You loved what it what it should be and what it could be and what you know
- 21:57It's been in the past and it could be again if they put the right people in positions because I also love
- 22:03That I'd like the Tom Brokaw idea of people who actually gave us news and from Walter Cronkite
- 22:10that provided it in a way that just doesn't exist anymore on legacy places.
- 22:15Yeah, I gotta tell you, I don't remember discussions at Channel 13 about the political ramifications
- 22:23that whether or not we want to help one candidate over another. We were just terrorists. We'll
- 22:40election, we'd investigate everything.
- 22:43I do believe that the tax argument is probably the best argument the Republicans have.
- 22:52I think Greg Abbott has it against Hina Housa, who wants to have a state income tax.
- 22:58I still think even though Texas is changing that when you tell Texans that this lady wants
- 23:03a state income tax, I don't think you have to tell them anything else.
- 23:07Right?
- 23:08I agree.
- 23:09And I don't see us laying in.
- 23:12I mean, it's tran- and you know how I feel about this transgender stuff.
- 23:15I know.
- 23:16I totally, I agree with Talarico.
- 23:21These are genetic abnormalities, no special deals for anybody.
- 23:25You know, you go to the right, the bathroom you were assigned at birth.
- 23:29If you don't like it, then build your own bathroom.
- 23:31Whatever.
- 23:31But I just think, all I hear, I hear the word radical, I hear communist, I hear, and I agree that some of them are.
- 23:43Yeah, that's the thing I was going to say is the funny thing is that some of that is more true now than it's ever been before.
- 23:49Because we might have been crying wolf years ago and claiming that they're all that side, but they're absolutely doing that thing again now.
- 23:59Yeah, I look I just we got a month left. I think there's time to still get this thing
- 24:07nailed shut. I think there's still time for Paxton to win. Yeah, she'll wish you was a
- 24:13better candidate. I don't mean ethically. I mean, just even communicating wise. Yeah.
- 24:18Just not that guy. I agree with you. All right. We got to take a break. Wayne's got to get
- 24:21a tooth pulled out of him and I got to stop messing with all the technology that he was
