- 0:20Welcome to Rogers for America.
- 0:22Thanks so much for joining me, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:25Well, over the past few months, people have been writing me, uh, emailing me, I should say, and sending me some messages and somehow getting in contact with me in relation to a number of topics that they would like me to address.
- 0:39So I have decided that I'm going to do that this coming year.
- 0:43We're going to be addressing a number of objects, a number of uh issues, a number of subjects, a number of news items that probably would not make the news, the regular news that is, because in the eyes of the mainstream media, it doesn't really interest people.
- 1:00But I believe that there are a lot of things going on in this country and around the world that indeed interest you.
- 1:07So I'm going to uh kind of take heed to some of those uh suggestions that I'm getting from our listeners, and uh in the future, in the near future, by the way, begin to address those issues that we would not normally hear about on the news.
- 1:23And if I have a little time later on, I'll just share with you some of the topics that we're going to be tackling over the past next few months.
- 1:31Now, first of all, it's appropriate, it's necessary, and I should already have wish all of you a happy new year.
- 1:40So, on behalf of America Out Loud News and Rogers for America, I want to know that you understand that we appreciate you, we love you.
- 1:49We're so thankful to God that you tune into our network and this particular broadcast and others on America Outloud.news.
- 1:57So we extend our sincere wish for a very, very happy new year to every one of you who have been very, very loyal to this network, obviously to our program, but also to this great and wonderful country that God has given us.
- 2:14Now I realize that many people, perhaps some of you listening right now, make New Year's resolutions, right?
- 2:20We all make a New Year's resolution.
- 2:22In fact, we make the resolution, or at least decide to make important resolutions as we approach a new year.
- 2:29But then you know as well as I know the first thing that happens one minute after 12, one minute after New Year's, I should say one minute after New Year's Eve, we begin the process of breaking any rule resolution that we have made, any resolution at all.
- 2:51Now, sometimes a New Year's resolution will last a day, maybe two days, but for the most part, two minutes.
- 2:58You get the point, you know what I'm talking about.
- 3:01So that's why I find it better not to set any New Year's resolutions at all.
- 3:05People ask me, well, what's your New Year's resolution?
- 3:08Well, I made a resolution not to make any resolutions.
- 3:12So I can't tell them that I made the resolution because then I already broke the resolution that I made, correct?
- 3:18Well, you ponder on that point for a little while.
- 3:20It's better not even to address the issue, let alone uh try to explain it.
- 3:26But I'll tell you what, folks, would I do a lot of thinking about things that I would love to see happen in the new year?
- 3:36No resolutions, but I do a lot of thinking.
- 3:39So I begin that thinking about December 15th.
- 3:43I mean, I'm talking about real focusing in on issues that I would like to see addressed or changed in the coming year.
- 3:50And boy, there were a lot of them in 2025 that we never never never thought or expected would be occurring at any point in time in our country, did a lot of thinking about those issues, which I'll talk a little bit about as we move on, and prayed and hoped to God that it would be in our power, the power of the people, the power of the United States to make significant changes to in 2026.
- 4:16And I also think about what expectations do you have?
- 4:21What expectations do we as Americans hold not only for our own individual future or the future of our families, but for the future of our nation as a whole.
- 4:34And I've asked some people questions about what they thought about with regard to the destiny of the United States of America.
- 4:41And to my disappointment, yeah, I gotta tell you, to my disappointment, most people told me they don't think about it.
- 4:48They think about their families, they think about themselves, but they never really give any deep thought about the future of the United States of America.
- 5:00Of course, when I entertain some discussion about the state of America today, most of those people tell me they're not very happy.
- 5:08And you'd be surprised, well, maybe not surprised, but I believe somewhat surprised, what they are very concerned about.
- 5:16What a lot of Americans are not only very concerned about, but pretty disgusted about.
- 5:22And this is something you want, you you probably will never hear on the mainstream media, because in the mainstream media's eyes and their views, and maybe some of the people on these editorial boards, it's not that important.
- 5:34Well, who says it's not that important?
- 5:37The people that don't want to make it important.
- 5:40But here's what some people have said to me, and I gotta tell you, maybe to the point of an alarming number of people said to me.
- 5:48The fact of the matter is is that they're very concerned about the present divisions within the United States Congress, the lawmakers of this land, the people that we depend on in order to keep this as the land of the free and the home of the brave, the land of opportunity.
- 6:08And they've also told me that they've observed a lot of the division, not only in the United States Congress, but also in their local government offices from the office of mayor, city councils, boards of commissioners, state assemblies, state senates, and on and on and on.
- 6:27So that caused me to think about the future and a hope and a dream.
- 6:32A dream I have for America.
- 6:35A dream that I always want to have for America on a number of topics.
- 6:41Don't stop dreaming, folks.
- 6:43No matter what you see, no matter what you hear, do not stop dreaming.
- 6:47And so I dream and I hope that the present divisions within Congress today, as well as those observed across the country, in those local governments and state governments, be resolved in favor of greater unity to advance what?
- 7:03The common good of the people.
- 7:13We read about division in the international level of things with regard to the UN and NATO and all these countries, uh, little wars, big wars, all the division going on around the country and around the world.
- 7:27But what we need to do is to focus on the division within our own hearts.
- 7:34Within our own hearts, folks.
- 7:36I'm talking about how we address issues, how we approach issues.
- 7:41Are we willing to accept someone else's opinion, their thoughts, their suggestions, their ideas, and their positions on issues that are very important to us, but their opinions and their positions are contrary to what we believe in, to what we want to advance?
- 8:00Are we willing to accept there is a divide there, but not to the point that it is truly affecting not only our future as individuals, our children's and grandchildren's future as individuals, but the destiny of our country?
- 8:18You know, it's widely acknowledged that division undermines stability and progress.
- 8:23Now, anyone out there can tell me that over the past several years, knowing and seeing and watching all the division going on in the United States Congress, all the division going on in our courts, all the division going on across the country in every street, in every neighborhood, in every state across the country.
- 8:42Can somebody really tell me without batting their eyelash that there is not, there is not instability, because there is.
- 9:22Currently, our circumstances in this in this country reflect what?
- 9:27Our circumstances reflect a reality that I don't believe many of us like to see, like to admit, or ever want to see.
- 9:37But it's here.
- 9:39The reality is we are lacking unity, and because we are lacking unity, we're lacking effectiveness, effectiveness, effectiveness as a country.
- 9:51Our effectiveness as a nation, as a people, as Americans on a whole, is being diminished.
- 9:58And again, my dream.
- 10:00My hope is that during this new year, all of us will be able to bring forth leadership that's committed to prioritizing the welfare of our nation over what?
- 10:13Over personal political interest.
- 10:16And a lot of that, in fact, too much of that, personal political interest have taken complete and total control over our lives.
- 10:25And you know who's to blame?
- 10:27Oh, sure.
- 10:28Believe me, Democrats will blame Republicans.
- 10:32Republicans will blame Democrats.
- 10:36This senator will blame that senator, this congressman will blame that congressman, on and on and on.
- 10:41Everybody's pointing fingers at everybody.
- 10:44But the real culprit to blame is us.
- 10:49We the people.
- 10:50We allowed these things to happen.
- 10:52We're allowing the congressional representatives that we've elected to office to fight and fight and fight on and on and on, and not particularly caring about what they're doing every day.
- 11:03If we did care enough about it, believe me, if we did really care enough about it, we would not be re-electing these people to office year after year after year.
- 11:18Listen, I live in New Jersey for four years, eight years, maybe a little longer than eight years.
- 11:25People in this state, north, south, east to west.
- 11:27I mean, I mean, in every city and town in the state of New Jersey has been claiming it complaining about taxes, complaining about energy costs, complaining about health cost, on and on and on and on.
- 11:40And the taxes had continued to raise over these past eight to 16 years.
- 11:46And you know what happened?
- 11:49We just had an election.
- 11:51We just had an election.
- 11:54And the same people from the same party, for the most part, were re-elected to office.
- 12:00Go figure.
- 12:02And we have candidates now who have been re-elected or elected, representing the political powers that did damage to the state.
- 12:12They're now talking about raising taxes again.
- 12:17Go figure.
- 12:18I don't get it, folks.
- 12:20So they're whining, they're crying.
- 12:23In New York City, we have a situation where a candidate who has embraced communism, socialism, and is appearing to reject capitalism, an individual who is now the mayor of the city of New York, has introduced guess what?
- 12:46Socialism.
- 12:48Policies that you'll only find come out of Beijing, China.
- 12:52And the people are now whining, complaining, screaming, we're not going to allow this guy to take our liberties.
- 13:00We're not going to allow him to chase big, big companies employing millions of people in New York City out of the city.
- 13:07We're not going to do that.
- 13:08Why should we pay for those people here who are illegal?
- 13:13Why should we pay for criminals?
- 13:16Why should we pay for this and that?
- 13:18We've got our own bills to pay.
- 13:21And the answer, the answer from this particular individual, the new mayor of the city of New York, I'm talking about Mandami, is well, you elected me, didn't you?
- 13:34He's right.
- 13:36He didn't hold anything back during the election.
- 13:38I gotta tell you, I'll give the guy credit for one thing.
- 13:40He told the truth.
- 13:42He pretty much told the people of the city of New York, you're doomed, you're done, your freedom's going.
- 13:48And they elected him.
- 13:49And now he's appointing people to office that are shocking.
- 13:54It's been reported that some individual who has been involved in or convicted of somewhere along the lines was involved with some armed robbery years ago, maybe serve time, is an individual being appointed to something equal to a police policy commission.
- 14:16How do you figure that?
- 14:19The new mayor of New York City wants to do away with some very important strategic police response teams that are responsible for probably stopping rioting, preventing civil unrest.
- 14:36Advocating the replacement of police officers with social workers or mental health workers.
- 14:40And we've been through that particular topic with regard to things going on across America.
- 14:47I've explained to police practitioners and politicians who support that by asking one question before I went into my discussion with regard to that, and I will at some point in time at length on this broadcast.
- 15:01You're gonna have social workers, mental health experts respond to domestic violence calls.
- 15:09And when those domestic violence calls turn from a simple argument into a violent, violent confrontation where someone has a gun or a knife and uses it, what's the mental health worker going to do?
- 15:22There's no police there.
- 15:24And if the subject comes up, well, we'll have them ride with the cop and we'll have the mental health worker go into the confrontation with the cop.
- 15:34You're gonna put that cop's life again on the line doubly.
- 15:38Not only does that cop has to worry about protecting his or her partner, and perhaps maybe a potential victim of a domestic violence call, but now you have another unarmed civilian there who probably will quiver, quiver in the fetal position on the floor.
- 15:55Either that or they'll be seriously injured or killed.
- 16:00But that's what the people of the city of New York asked for.
- 16:02What are they crying about?
- 16:05I understand there's going to be protests at City Hall already.
- 16:08There's going to be a protest in the Bronx and Queens and Brooklyn, you name it, they're rising up there in New York protesting.
- 16:15You should have gone to the polls and protested.
- 16:19So there's another dream I have.
- 16:22Another hope I have for the new year.
- 16:25That somehow, somehow the people address these issues peacefully and civilly.
- 16:30And it may take time to turn now because you just elected the guy to office.
- 16:35Don't resort to violence.
- 16:38Don't resort to those things that add more division.
- 16:43Division, folks.
- 16:45When added to, but when the words of division are added by violent confrontations, we have lost everything.
- 16:56We cannot allow that to happen.
- 16:58And again, my dream is hope and hope is that it doesn't happen in New York, it doesn't happen anywhere around the country.
- 17:05But because all this is happening, it's more division, and it undermines the stability and the progress of each city and in every state across this country and eventually undermines the stability of our entire nation.
- 17:22You know, you all know I've read the Bible from cover to cover, and uh and I've got to say there is much truth to the words that Jesus spoke when he was on this earth.
- 17:32I mean, every word he spoke meant a lot of the people for the people back then, but also has meant to every single human being alive since the day of creation.
- 17:44When he said a house cannot stand, a house cannot stand when it is divided.
- 17:52In fact, the scripture actually says a house divided cannot stand.
- 17:57Well, perhaps this new year, we are gonna get off to a shaky ground.
- 18:03But what we have to do is make sure that we take that shaky ground and calm it down and stand on a solid foundation of hope and faith, not only in ourselves to do the right thing, not only in ourselves to finally get people elected to office that are looking out for the interest of the people and not their own political agendas, but hope and faith in God, that he will turn the hearts of people, that he will bring justice where justice is due.
- 18:43My hope and dream is that frankly, we begin as a country.
- 18:47Again, family by family.
- 18:49Maybe I should say kitchen by kitchen, dining room by dining room, home by home, neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street, city by city, state by state, and finally the entire nation, turning its heart back towards God Almighty.
- 19:04What is wrong with politicians saying those things?
- 19:08You don't hear that.
- 19:10That's how divided we are.
- 19:12You know, I gotta tell you, folks, we are not only divided from each other, not only divided when it comes to policies that either could make or break a nation, but we are divided from God Almighty.
- 19:26And this country was never as divided from God Almighty as we are now.
- 19:33Just a food for thought as we move forward.
- 19:36I've got to tell you, again, my dream, my hope is that as we enter into the new year, that we are reminded that we are an exceptional nation.
- 19:48People don't like to hear me say that.
- 19:51I love this country.
- 19:52We're an exceptional nation because God has continued to bless this nation despite our sinful nature, despite
- 20:00How divided we are.
- 20:02One of those blessings is what?
- 20:05Come on, what is the most important blessing we have?
- 20:09The most important blessing we have is freedom.
- 20:12Liberty.
- 20:14Individual rights.
- 20:14Yeah, they're all wrapped up in that word freedom.
- 20:18Which reminds me of another biblical scripture.
- 20:21Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- 20:25So let's remember in this new year, the undeniable truth in that particular scripture.
- 20:31You keep God in our lives.
- 20:35We will remain free.
- 20:37Because if we keep him in our lives, that means we are extending our hope and our faith and our trust in him to guide us.
- 20:44And to bring us to a point where we're going to get to where we want to be and maybe where we were years ago.
- 20:50One nation under God.
- 20:52Indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
- 20:56How about that?
- 20:58For a new year's resolution, if you will.
- 21:03How about that for an approach to a new year?
- 21:07You know, my fifth grade teacher, God bless her.
- 21:10She called me a dreamer.
- 21:12She always said that I was dreaming, dreaming, daydreaming here, not paying attention in class.
- 21:17In fact, I got into so much trouble dreaming that she would send me to the principal's office almost every single day, two or three times a day.
- 21:26I'm looking at it and get kicked out of elementary school.
- 21:29And when I went to the principal's office, I sat in a chair.
- 21:33You know what I did?
- 21:35I was daydreaming.
- 21:36What was I dreaming about?
- 21:38Well, I was dreaming about the future, the things I wanted to do, the things I wanted to be.
- 21:45I was dreaming about our country.
- 21:47My parents taught me to love this country.
- 21:49And I remember they told me never never never sit around and do nothing.
- 21:54We'll support you in everything you do, but you are going to work.
- 21:57You're gonna know what the value of a dollar is.
- 22:00You're gonna know what hard work is.
- 22:02We are not gonna hand anything to you on a silver platter.
- 22:06Little did I know.
- 22:09We didn't have a silver platter.
- 22:11Little did I know we were all poor.
- 22:13But our parents never told us we were poor.
- 22:15They still brought us up with values.
- 22:18Values that unite us.
- 22:20Not the vite us.
- 22:22But I was a daydreamer.
- 22:25And well, that was dealt with in time.
- 22:28But I still find myself daydreaming.
- 22:31Especially during this time of the year at the start of a new year.
- 22:34And my dreams again are focused on my country.
- 22:38My dreams are focused on an America that is renewed in unity and prosperity, driven by the actions of its people, meaning you, rather than political leaders.
- 22:51A nation strengthened by gratitude and prayer.
- 22:55Not by political power, not by money, not by treasures, not by riches that were invented by man, but by gratitude and prayer.
- 23:08And although many of us may disagree on public policies and policies that simply do more to divide us than to unite us.
- 23:18And perhaps we may disagree on political stances regarding issues that do matter to everyone.
- 23:26I'm confident that eventually we will collaborate for the benefit of the nation.
- 23:30We'll talk together for the benefit of the nation.
- 23:34Did we not unite as one nation?
- 23:37After the civil war, you talk about division, bloodshed, violence, killing, anger, hatred?
- 23:47Wow.
- 23:49But it was through the grace of God and the leadership of President Abraham Lincoln and others in his administration and the American people on both sides during that time that decided enough was enough.
- 24:00It was time to unite our country once again.
- 24:06So it's my hope and again my dream that the coming year will inspire a brand new commitment among conflicting people in this country, conflicting states, conflicting leaders, and even conflicting nations around the world to reach lasting resolutions and bring an end to all of the hostilities that go on.
- 24:28From house to house, neighborhood to neighborhood, street to street, city to city, and state to state, and eventually across the entire United States of America.
- 24:39And the same applies to our interactions with foreign leaders, so I'm confident that we will strengthen our mutual understanding with our adversaries, particularly concerning human rights.
- 24:50I believe it's important for the United States to adopt a more proactive stance in its relations with China, for example, in North Korea.
- 24:57While working toward the reunification of families in these countries, and advancing the freedom and well-being of individuals residing in those countries.
- 25:05Look, one of my priorities regarding foreign policies for the United States of America is to totally annihilate and destroy communism off of the face of the earth.
- 25:15Communism is an evil we should always work hard to eliminate off the surface of this earth.
- 25:23And I thank God Almighty for men and presidents like Ronald Reagan.
- 25:27Committed his whole life to destroy communism, and he helped bring down probably the guy that spearheaded the effort to bring down communist Russia, the Soviet Union.
- 25:37We can do it again with China, North Korea, and other communist countries.
- 25:43So I dream and hope that the new year brings us to a new commitment to free the people of this world living under the rule of communism.
- 25:51I often consider the potential benefits of a future where greater emphasis is placed on mutual understanding and open constructive dialogue rather than simply communicating past one another.
- 26:03Because we have a habit of doing that.
- 26:05Just communicate past one another.
- 26:09Let me end with this.
- 26:11We are Americans, you and me, we're Americans, and we've proven throughout our history as a nation from 1776 that we are an exceptional nation.
- 26:21And we are determined to travel this road that God has put us on and help others to see their dreams come true.
- 26:29May all your dreams come true in this new year.

- 31:30That's Steve, S-T-E-V-E at Rogers4America.com.
- 31:37That's Steve at Rogers for that's F O R America.com.
- 31:43You send me an email as to what is on your mind, what you would like me to speak to you about.
- 31:49Perhaps you'd like to come on the broadcast.
- 31:51Yeah, that's right, I can do that.
- 31:53We can actually have a nice discussion with you over a number of issues that we talk about during the course of a year.
- 32:00Email me.
- 32:01And I respond to everyone who emails me, so please uh don't feel you are wasting your time.
- 32:07Because your time is valuable to you.
- 32:09I know that may be valuable to me, and it may be valuable to this country.
- 32:16That's why it's America out loud news, not Joe out loud news, Sally Out Loud News, not one individual out loud news, America.
- 32:29You America out loud dot news.
- 32:32All right, well, here we go, folks.
- 32:35Think about this one.
- 32:37We're living in an era without any question, where negative news frequently does what?
- 32:45Negative news is actually in on it, inundating all of our lives.
- 32:50It's important to recognize that all of this exposure impacts not only our emotional well-being, which can in turn manifest physically, but also affects us on a spiritual level.
- 33:04What do I mean by that?
- 33:06Well, fact of the matter is it is very common for individuals to experience frustration or anger in response to news reports on television, radio, or in print media, which can negatively impact their emotions and even affect their well-being.
- 33:25Throughout the entire day and throughout the night, we're out every single day of the week, for goodness sakes.
- 33:30In fact, they live with this constantly, day in and day out.
- 33:34Many people recognize this reaction and they simply wait for these feelings to subside.
- 33:41It's like a roller coaster, right?
- 33:44Now, what we don't see is the spiritual damage it does to us.
- 33:49We feel the physical damage.
- 33:51We certainly feel the, and I gotta be, I mean, very blunt with you, the mental and emotional damage it does to us.
- 33:57Again, it's like being on a roller coaster.
- 34:00Up and down, up and down our feelings go.
- 34:02Oh, we're looking at this news media story.
- 34:05Gee, that's nice.
- 34:06It kind of makes us feel good.
- 34:07You look at the rest of them, holy smokes, what went on here?
- 34:10Depressing, disgusting, anger, frustration.
- 34:13I gotta do something about that.
- 34:15If I can, I would jump through the TV screen and do something about that.
- 34:21But whether you choose to believe that fact or not, that that's the way you feel, and the way you feel many times is simply not good for you physically or mentally, all that negativity coming your way is darkness from hell.
- 34:37And I gotta tell you, folks, it's diminishing the light that is readily available for you to receive from where?
- 34:46From the courts of heaven.
- 34:48That's right.
- 34:50I'm talking about a light from the courts of heaven, are ready to open up upon your life if you're ready to receive it.
- 34:59Now I want you to consider this.
- 35:02How often do you focus on the overwhelming and discouraging news that you encounter each and every day of your life?
- 35:11You get up, you turn on the TV, and what do you see?
- 35:16Negative news.
- 35:18You leave the TV, you go out the door, you get in your car, and what are you listening to?
- 35:26Negative news on the radio.
- 35:28You park your car, perhaps you need to get on a bus or a train to get where you're going.
- 35:33You do that, you put your earplugs in, and what are you listening to?
- 35:38Negative news.
- 35:39And it goes on and on and on.
- 35:42Now, like I said, how often do you focus on the overwhelming and discouraging news that you're encountering each and every day compared to the time you spend reflecting on uplifting positive stories that inspire hope, optimism, and thoughts about a brighter future, not only for you, but how about for your family and for the country?
- 36:05I mean, do that comparison.
- 36:07Do it.
- 36:09Research suggests that individuals spend significantly more time consuming negative news than positive news.
- 36:17And this pattern that we've seen develop over, I guess, decades and maybe centuries.
- 36:23It may contribute to the increasing number of people seeking medical attention or filling prescriptions at pharmacies to deal with the after-effects of all that negativity coming their way.
- 36:36You know what we're talking about, folks?
- 36:39Depression.
- 36:40We're talking about stress.
- 36:42We're talking about heart problems.
- 36:45We're talking about mental problems.
- 36:47Where's all that coming from?
- 36:50It's coming from our environment many, many times.
- 36:54You know, we create our environment.
- 36:56There was a detective I knew, uh, well, I still know.
- 37:00Uh we're all retired now, but when I was commander of a detective bureau here in New Jersey, uh, I came in the office one morning, and there it was a number of little pieces of paper on everybody's desk that said create your environment.
- 37:14And I looked at that, and I said, I wonder, you know, I wonder who put that there.
- 37:19Pretty good.
- 37:20And I left them there.
- 37:21And I found the detective who put them there, and I thanked him.
- 37:25And he was right.
- 37:26Because detectives, as many police officers, and I'm sure many people in general would come to work and start their day off in anger, upset, frustrated, depressed.
- 37:38And how did that happen?
- 37:39Between the time they woke up and the time they came to the police department, or the time they came to their office, or wherever you're working, or the time you got to where you work, what happened in between that time, a half hour, an hour maybe.
- 37:52You listen to the news.
- 37:54You turn the radio on, you turn the TV on, maybe even have time to read a newspaper, if there are any newspapers around anymore.
- 38:04And there it began.
- 38:05The seeds of depression, the seeds of a mental mental breakdown.
- 38:12And I'm talking about going crazy at this point, although that happens.
- 38:15But I'm talking about a mental breakdown where every minute of the day, you're paranoid about this, paranoid about that.
- 38:23Why?
- 38:23Where did it come from?
- 38:25Experts in the field are saying it's coming right from the environments that we create for ourselves.
- 38:32I gotta tell you, folks, don't let the environment create you.
- 38:39Don't let the environment dictate to you how you should live and how you should react to things.
- 38:47You should create your environment.
- 38:49But unfortunately, we are creating our environments based on what's around us, based on the environment we live in.
- 38:58I don't have to live in a negative environment.
- 39:00I refuse to do that.
- 39:02People ask me all the time, gee, you're always kind of upbeat and you're kind of um, you know, uh just just full of all hope and optimism.
- 39:11Yeah, I I am uh an optimistic person.
- 39:14Why?
- 39:15Because I choose to.
- 39:16I create my own environment.
- 39:18I'm not gonna let anybody drag me down.
- 39:21I'm gonna lift them up.
- 39:23That's right.
- 39:25Wake up every day, folks.
- 39:26I wake up every day, and I even tell people you want to do something really good in life, you want to really do something good, and I'm not talking about give somebody money or do this and do that.
- 39:37I mean, those are nice things to do, and I I I encourage you to do those things if you're let to do that.
- 39:43But if you really want to do something good, you can make two people in your life smile.
- 39:52What do you think of that?
- 39:54And I'll talk about people close to you.
- 39:57One person, a complete stranger.
- 40:00What's wrong with going up to someone, maybe who's cleaning windows, all right, in a in on a street or cleaning windows in a mall and saying, appreciate the work you're doing.
- 40:09Thanks a lot.
- 40:10Or somebody throwing out the trash.
- 40:12I shared with you in prior broadcasts.
- 40:14My wife and I do that all the time.
- 40:15And boy, not only do you get a smile at times, but you kind of get them little tears coming out of the corner of their eyes.
- 40:22Because you've showed them that they count.
- 40:25You just created a wonderful, beautiful environment, not only for yourself, but for that person.
- 40:33And who you ask is the other person that one is causing the smile?
- 40:40God.
- 40:41I believe that.
- 40:43I believe that when you put a smile on somebody else's face, that you're putting a smile on God's face.
- 40:50And while that person is smiling at you, God is looking down from heaven, smiling at you.
- 40:59What a way to start a day, and what a way to maybe walk along the path that you are led every single minute of that day, and what a way to end that day.
- 41:11So one may wonder, well, where can one find truly good news?
- 41:17Where can I find good news there, Mr.
- 41:19Rogers?
- 41:20You just said we're inundated with uh bad news television, bad news radio, bad news here, bad news there.
- 41:27It's driving me absolutely out of my mind.
- 41:29I'm running to the pharmacy.
- 41:32I'm running away.
- 41:34I got to get away from this stuff.
- 41:36I hear that a lot from folks.
- 41:37Of course, they're not gonna go too far.
- 41:41Where's there to go?
- 41:43But there is a place to go.
- 41:45Ha.
- 41:46Where's there to go?
- 41:47What a question again, right?
- 41:48All right, so where do we find good news?
- 41:50News that could do what?
- 41:53News that could have as much, if not more, positive impact on us as negative news does.
- 42:01You believe that?
- 42:02You believe that there is a place.
- 42:04You can actually get more positive news and have great, great significant positive impact on your life, more so than the power that negative news has on you.
- 42:18And where do you get that?
- 42:19Hmm.
- 42:21Well, there are countless positive news stories, folks.
- 42:25Listen to me now, many of which go unreported.
- 42:28These uplifting stories usually don't impact us as strongly as negative ones do.
- 42:32So the point is that I'm making is you'll get positive stories, you'll hear about positive stories.
- 42:36In fact, let me give you an example.
- 42:38I appreciate compelling accounts of animal rescues.
- 42:41I love animals, especially dogs.
- 42:44Whether I encountered them on television, radio, or in print, as they evoke a sense of satisfaction in my life.
- 42:52When I read about somebody rescuing a dog out in the middle of a lake on a cold day, the satisfaction that I get from that, I can't compare with anything.
- 43:02I really can't.
- 43:04However, this positive sentiment is often short-lived compared to the lasting impact that the negative emotions that I get with regard to the distressing news I hear about animals.
- 43:15That happens to me too.
- 43:17I may see something distressing about an animal, and it'll live with me for a week or two, maybe more.
- 43:24And then when I see something very positive about rescuing animals, I love it, embrace it, want to hug it, and then it goes away.
- 43:33Why?
- 43:34I mean, why do we do that?
- 43:36But I've learned over a period of time is that there's nothing I could do about the negative reports regarding animals other than the prey for those animals and the people involved in all this terrible stuff, and ask that God brings justice upon animal abusers, etc.
- 43:53And then I should just let it go, let go and let God, and then focus on the good stuff, the fact that God enabled some real good people to rescue animals, to save them, to take care of them.
- 44:08You know what I'm driving at.
- 44:10Why are we letting the negative stuff live within our lives?
- 44:14Get rid of it, throw it out of your life.
- 44:17Put a big no vacancy on your heart, soul, and spirit.
- 44:20No vacancy in your brain.
- 44:24No vacancy, Satan.
- 44:27No vacancy, Lucifer, or the devil, whatever you choose to call yourself.
- 44:32No vacancy.
- 44:34The only one occupying your brain, your mind, your heart, your soul, your spirit, as is mine is the Holy Spirit of God Almighty.
- 44:44So back to the question.
- 44:46Where do I find positive news that will last long with me?
- 44:52In fact, last for my entire life with me.
- 44:56I have the answer.
- 44:57You think I'm going to ask a question I don't have an answer to?
- 45:00Hmm.
- 45:01I have the answer.
- 45:02There's only one place, one and only one place that you're going to find such news.
- 45:10News that's uplifting, news that's positive, news that's credible.
- 45:14And in my view, news that will bring light into your life, no matter how dark it may be, is in the Holy Bible.
- 45:24God's word.
- 45:25Now, people constantly ask me to explain to them what the Bible is to man.
- 45:32They want to know what's that book to me?
- 45:34I've heard of the Bible.
- 45:36I know there's a Bible.
- 45:38In fact, I've read the Bible, they tell me.
- 45:40But what is it really supposed to mean to me?
- 45:44Well, I'll tell you, frankly, what the Bible is to them, to me, to you, to all of us, it was answered in a letter that was sent out years ago by someone who decided to stay anonymous.
- 46:01And I wonder who this person is or was.
- 46:04But it certainly explains what the Bible is to all of us.
- 46:10I'm going to first read this letter in its entirety, and then kind of break it down.
- 46:16So this person wrote, and please hear me, because I believe this is going to positively affect you.
- 46:21What do you think of that?
- 46:23And brighten up your day.
- 46:26The Bible reveals the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers.
- 46:36Its doctrines are holy.
- 46:38Its precepts are binding.
- 46:41Its histories are true and its decisions are immutable.
- 46:45Read it to be wise.
- 46:47Believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy.
- 46:52It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.
- 46:59It is the traveler's map, the pilgrim staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the Christian's charter.
- 47:08Here, paradise is gained, heaven opened, and hell disclosed.
- 47:14Christ is its grand object.
- 47:16Our good its design and the glory of God its end.
- 47:20It shall fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet.
- 47:24Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully.
- 47:27It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure.
- 47:34It is given you in life, will be opened in the judgment and be remembered forever.
- 47:40It involves the highest responsibility, promises the highest reward for labor, and condemns all who trifle with its sacred contents.
- 47:52The Bible is the word of God.
- 47:56And that's all you need to do.
- 47:59All you need to do is to go to God's Word, the Holy Bible.
- 48:03Read the Psalms, read the Proverbs.
- 48:05I mean, it's right there.
- 48:07The most positive news that you'll ever get is from God Almighty Himself.
- 48:14You could read Bible commentaries, that's fine.
- 48:16Read stories about biblical figures, that's fine.
- 48:19I mean, there's nothing wrong with that.
- 48:21A lot of the publications out there now being uh sold in bookstores with regard to God, the Bible, the Holy Spirit, there's a lot of great authors out there who share true stories.
- 48:34The impact that God, the impact that Bible has had on their lives.
- 48:41Positive stories.
- 48:42Now, one might say, well, you know, there's a lot of stories in the Bible that aren't that positive.
- 48:47A lot of wars going on in that Bible.
- 48:49Boy, a lot of bloodshed.
- 48:51A lot of that going on.
- 48:52A lot of those kings, they weren't pleasant people.
- 48:54And what about Judas?
- 48:56And what about the crucifixion of Christ, the beheading of John the Baptizer?
- 49:02I mean, you could go on and on and on.
- 49:04But you got to read the whole story.
- 49:08Because out of each and every one of those negative, dark, terrible stories, incidents, I mean real life incidents.
- 49:18And of every single one of them, God turned the evil that was done to all of these people, including Jesus Christ, and turned it for good.
- 49:29And the Bible has that for you today.
- 49:32Anything that comes against you, evil stuff, terrible stuff, nasty stuff on the job, people talking about you.
- 49:41Maybe there's a sickness, an illness, a divorce, a separation, a job loss.
- 49:47I mean, I could go up and down the list of negative things that hit people.
- 49:51Maybe you did wake up this morning and you immediately went to the TV and saw a news story that just appalled you.
- 49:58And then you got in your car.
- 50:00Car.
- 50:00You turn the radio on, and another news story that truly upset you.
- 50:06And on and on and on and on.
- 50:08Maybe you did that yesterday, today, maybe even doing it for quite some time.
- 50:13My suggestion to you is get it out of your mind, get it out of your soul, your spirit.
- 50:17Just get away from it.
- 50:18Turn it off for goodness sakes.
- 50:20You don't need to hear that.
- 50:23And you might want to tune the you know the radio a little bit here and there.
- 50:28And my suggestion is you find a good Christian radio station.
- 50:32America Outloud.news.
- 50:34Look at, we've got a lot of secular news on this network, but all of it is truthful, credible.
- 50:41And I gotta tell you, most of it, if not all of it, will lead you to a point when you get all that news, we'll begin to talk about how to deal with it and what we need to do and think about moving forward.
- 50:54Now that's positive stuff.
- 50:57Don't hang around the bad stuff.
- 50:58Hey, listen, the bad stuff wants to hang around you.
- 51:02But you don't have to allow the bad stuff to come in and control your life.
- 51:06Let the Bible control your life.
- 51:09Well, let the word of God control your life, and the word of God is written in that Bible.
- 51:13So my point is let God control your life.
- 51:16Show me thy way, O Lord, teach me thy path, says the scriptures.
- 51:19Is that hard?
- 51:22Jesus Christ came here to die for our sins.
- 51:26And then after he goes through all of that, he leaves the earth.
- 51:31And I believe he told the disciples at that time, when he was crucified.
- 51:38We know he died.
- 51:39We know he's buried, he rose from the dead, he went into heaven, but he did come back.
- 51:44He did come back, and he had them short, brief appearances with his buddies.
- 51:51And you remember what he said to them.
- 51:54I go to the Father, but I send to you another comforter.
- 52:00Wow.
- 52:01He didn't abandon you.
- 52:03He sent us another comforter.
- 52:05He sent us the Holy Spirit who lives within you and within me, within everybody, believers or not, he's there.
- 52:12Now, whether people want to accept that or not, whether they want the access to the power of God or not, that's up to them.
- 52:20But he died for all of us.
- 52:23And one might ask, well, how could a guy live in billions and billions of people around the world?
- 52:26He's God.
- 52:27You ask him that.
- 52:28Don't ask me.
- 52:30He's God.
- 52:31You got to talk to him about that.
- 52:34Then how do I know it?
- 52:35It's true.
- 52:36Because I believe in what he wrote.
- 52:39Now, people will say, come on, God took a pen and wrote, wrote what's in the Bible.
- 52:44No, he inspired people to write through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 52:49God speaks to you and speaks to me through his word.
- 52:54That's right.
- 52:55And there are people who will come to me and share with me things that are in the gospel, and that's God speaking to me through them.
- 53:01Right?
- 53:02When an author writes a book, a story about any topic that you would like to read about, that author is speaking to you through that book.
- 53:11See, it starts to make sense when you kind of explain it a little better.
- 53:16The Bible reveals the mind of God.
- 53:19That's what that letter opened up with.
- 53:21And you know what?
- 53:21It's true.
- 53:23We won't know God, or we would not know God.
- 53:25We wouldn't understand God if we didn't understand what he was thinking, what his mind was on.
- 53:30His mind was on saving you and me.
- 53:33Salvation of mankind, his creation.
- 53:36It also reveals the state of man.
- 53:39Hmm.
- 53:40Talking about something that could get you depressed.
- 53:43It's not too good, folks.
- 53:45The state of man, that's you and me and every human being from day one.
- 53:49But it was necessary that he revealed the state of man, because right after that, you learn that he revealed to man the way of salvation, as well as the doom of sinners, and also the happiness of believers.
- 54:03You notice something in this letter, this is wonderful.
- 54:06It kind of confirms everything I've been sharing with people for a long time.
- 54:10It reveals the mind of God, right?
- 54:12The state of man, which is not good, the doom of sinners, which, because of the state of man, man needs to know where they're headed, and it's not north, believe me, it's south if they don't repent of their sins.
- 54:26Because God also gives man, sinful man, a way of salvation, and he says that after you follow the way of salvation, you will see the happiness of believers.
- 54:41The way of salvation.
- 54:42I am the way, the truth, and the life.
- 54:44No man cometh to the Father but by me.
- 54:47Means just accept Jesus as your friend, your Lord, your Savior.
- 54:51Is that hard to why is it so hard for people to do?
- 54:54There are many of you listening right now, I know it.
- 54:57Believe me, I know people are listening right now because I know how the Holy Spirit works.
- 55:02You could have been channel surfing on your radio or whatever you're listening to, and somehow, somehow, you stumbled upon me.
- 55:12You think that's by I mean, you think that's by design, folks.
- 55:17You think I'm sorry, you think that's by coincidence?
- 55:21I believe that's by divine design.
- 55:24And if it isn't me, it'll be somebody else on the air, or somebody you're gonna run into, planting the seeds of the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers.
- 55:38Why?
- 55:39Because the doctrines of the Bible are holy, its precepts are binding, meaning, man, you read that Bible, you begin to understand to the best of your ability what God is trying to get across to you, they're binding.
- 55:52And I gotta tell you something.
- 55:53Despite a lot of historians and scientists and psychologists and sociologists who kind of dismiss the Bible as a myth, as a novel, let me tell you something.
- 56:03It's histories are true.
- 56:06Every single word written in the Bible is true.
- 56:11Part of my entire life, I was a police detective, commander of a police detective bureau.
- 56:18I know how to investigate.
- 56:21I investigated the Bible.
- 56:23I investigated the word of God, and one day I think I'll do a broadcast on that.
- 56:27But not only me, many, many people have investigated the Bible, the word of God to see if any of this was true.
- 56:34Is it true that John the Baptist did this?
- 56:36Is it true that Paul said that?
- 56:38Is it true that Pilate did this?
- 56:40And on and on and on.
- 56:41And you know what an investigator does?
- 56:43It finds collaboration, cooperation, and collaboration.
- 56:48It finds evidence, little tiny evidence to big, big visible evidence.
