- 0:00Happy Monday morning everybody. We are still doing coffee with
- 0:06Kenny. Maybe one day I'll get tired of
- 0:10it, but for right now it's just part of my morning routine.
- 0:16Why not, right? I have my banana, my 4% whole
- 0:21wheat toast, drink a cup of coffees and slip in a little 10
- 0:26minute video. And sometimes when I go to lunch
- 0:31at 12 O clock in the day, people will say, hey, I watched your
- 0:35coffee with Kenny and I'm like, what did I say?
- 0:39It seems so long ago. OK, Yesterday I was on Facebook
- 0:48and Michelle Unzinger, which is the wife of Illinois race car
- 0:55driver Ryan Unzinger, the number 24, Beautiful family.
- 1:00And Ryan's a good runner. Michelle's a bad ass.
- 1:05She's right there slinging merchandise and helping her,
- 1:09helping her husband. And they have a awesome son.
- 1:12His name's a Brody. And I really admire this family
- 1:17just because they're awesome. They're just awesome.
- 1:19They just really are good people.
- 1:22So very rare, but Michelle comes out with a post and basically
- 1:30tells everybody how upset she is with handful of people because
- 1:37they made a wonderful post that their their child Brody had been
- 1:43running a kids mod. You know, a kids mod is a car
- 1:47with like a smaller motor in it. Well, they bought him a pro mod
- 1:52this year. They're just bringing him up.
- 1:55You know, another class. And she just was really
- 2:00disappointed how there were a handful of people just talking
- 2:05crap about, oh, mom and dad help their kid with a race car and
- 2:13then everybody else piled on Trevor Gundaker.
- 2:18So Trevor Gundaker is Kevin Gundaker.
- 2:21And Tammy Gundaker. They own Tri-City Speedway in
- 2:26Granite City, IL Kevin and Tammy Gundaker, they owned the
- 2:30racetrack. They got two boys ones.
- 2:36You know they got two that race, let's put it that way.
- 2:39Gordy Gundaker and Trevor or Trevor.
- 2:43They must have hit a nerve with Trevor because Trevor makes a
- 2:46long post about people being mad at him and talking crap about,
- 2:52you know, mom and dad giving him a race car and things like that.
- 2:56All right, that's the subject matter.
- 2:59So I told you completely where this all came from.
- 3:02What is it with people nowadays? You know, what's funny is when
- 3:05you make a post, if you want to, you can, most likely there's
- 3:08going to be some history on that person's page.
- 3:11You click on that person's page, you go to photos.
- 3:15You can see them now if it's the type of person that you click on
- 3:21their page and go to photos and there's no photos of them.
- 3:25They're they're pretty bad themselves, right?
- 3:28If you, if you got a social media page and there's not one
- 3:32picture of you, you're pretty much a loser, right?
- 3:37I mean, you really are. You're just, you know what
- 3:39you're doing. You, you, that's the type of
- 3:42page where you're going to talk crap and you don't want to leave
- 3:45no trace of who you are. So #1 don't even count those
- 3:49people. But for the people that do leave
- 3:56that trace of who they are and you're jealous and you're mad
- 3:58that mom and dad gave their kid a race car.
- 4:02Let's talk about that for a minute.
- 4:04What? Why would you be like that?
- 4:07It's like, OK, I have a child, I'm going to send him to school.
- 4:11All that must be really nice being able to send your child to
- 4:14school. I don't go to school.
- 4:16Wish I could go to school. I mean, what are you supposed to
- 4:21do? You know, there's an old saying.
- 4:23I want to share this with you. If you cannot help family, then
- 4:28who can you help? That's one of the biggest
- 4:31phrases in American history. If you cannot help family, then
- 4:37who can you help? What are you going to do?
- 4:40Help a stranger? Help somebody else?
- 4:42Well, there's time. You know, you can help
- 4:44everybody, but there's an also another phrase.
- 4:52It's sad to say, but you got to help number one.
- 4:57It's sad to say, but you got to help number one.
- 5:00It it. If you can't take care of the
- 5:02homestead first, then you're making a mistake.
- 5:05You got to take care of the homestead first, take care of
- 5:08your immediate family. Think, think about some of these
- 5:13famous people. I'm going to say right now, is
- 5:15that what you say about Dale Earnhardt Junior when his dad
- 5:19got him his first race car and built a whole Bush Grand
- 5:22National team for him? Is that what you say about Dale
- 5:26Junior? No, Dale Junior wouldn't be
- 5:28anywhere near he's at if his dad didn't help him.
- 5:33You know, I wouldn't be here if I if I wasn't born.
- 5:36So I want to thank my mom and dad for having me born.
- 5:42What about Michael Andretti? Michael Andretti wouldn't be
- 5:45where he's at without his dad, Mario.
- 5:49You know, Joey Logano wouldn't be where he's at without his
- 5:53dad. See, this goes on and on and on.
- 5:57Dale Earnhardt Senior wouldn't be where he's at without his
- 6:00dad, Ralph. My brother Rusty wouldn't be
- 6:03where he's at without our dad, Russ.
- 6:06So to get on social media to talk negatively about people
- 6:14that that makes you look bad and, and, and, you know,
- 6:18especially if you leave a trace, maybe they confront you one day
- 6:21and say, you know, I'm going to pray for you.
- 6:23I love you. But boy, you sure are an ugly
- 6:26person. You probably need to change your
- 6:28crazy ways. Sounds like an Aerosmith song.
- 6:34All right. I think I've beat that to death.
- 6:41I want to talk about something in the last minute here.
- 6:45I've seen a couple people, not many couple people said that,
- 6:51hey, Kenny, you were the one that talked about how great
- 6:54NASCAR was and now, now you're talking about how they need to
- 6:58change and everything like that. I want to address that.
- 7:04First of all, I think when Mark Martin come to town, right?
- 7:07Mark Martin came to town, I looked you right in the face and
- 7:10I said we got to get this out of the way.
- 7:13I said, Mark, do you hate me? Do you want to beat me in the
- 7:18ground? Do you want to condemn me?
- 7:20Because I think NASCAR in 2025 was a great show.
- 7:24Of course, we remember the famous quote.
- 7:28See, that's where you people learn to need to learn how to
- 7:33disagree without being so vicious.
- 7:35I thought that racing in 2025 was great.
- 7:39I thought it was very good racing.
- 7:41However, you guys ran over me with a train about these damn
- 7:45points. So I I still feel everything was
- 7:49fine, but I wanted to see, I've said all along, I've said all
- 7:54along I'm consistent in my verbiage that I wanted to always
- 7:58see three points races. And Mark Martin said, hey, look,
- 8:03there is a point system that I can get on on board with.
- 8:06It doesn't have to be all 36, but it's got to be the real
- 8:10players with a consistent playoff.
- 8:14So Mark has said there is a system out there that he would
- 8:17agree with. So as far as me, you know, all
- 8:23of a sudden now I'm on board. No, I would say this.
- 8:26You all ran over me like a train.
- 8:29So I got on the caboose. You've all taught me that I'm
- 8:34wrong and and and I don't admit I'm wrong because I'm not wrong.
- 8:39All I'm saying now is that OK, this is what you all want.
- 8:43And I think we documented all that on the Mark Martin coffee
- 8:48with Kenny. So you can go back and watch
- 8:51that. All I'm all I'm agreeing with is
- 8:55like, OK, you all, you all don't like, you know, the one race
- 8:58playoff. Let's let's go to a playoff.
- 9:01And I said I'm all along, I'll take so many.
- 9:04You know what I want basically is the whole year and then these
- 9:08guys go to three races, a full 3 race playoff.
- 9:12I I can get along with that because that way we crown a real
- 9:17champion 3 races. Hell, I don't care, maybe go 26
- 9:22races in the last 10 are, you know, the real champions like
- 9:27the Chase for the championship. So as far as me all of a sudden
- 9:32changed my mind, I didn't change anything.
- 9:35I'm just saying, OK, you guys don't like that.
- 9:38I wanted 3. So this is what it is.
- 9:43And I documented that court case very well and I didn't like what
- 9:48I saw and I said that too. All right, respond right here.
