  They came out of the gates quicker than I thought they

  would. Chip while WILE now, if you

  remember Chip, Chip was my original PR man when I drove at

  Chip while I was just a kid and before I knew it Chip was the

  president of Daytona and Chip was you know communicating after

  After that Chip went in a different position and he was

  working with all the race tracks.

  Well about a month or two ago Chip announced he's left NASCAR

  well not for long. They must have drug chip while

  back. Congratulations chip.

  The first announcement that NASCAR makes this morning on

  Monday January 5th started in the first Monday at the Louie

  coming he he been doing that lately coming in standing

  ovation crowd on her feet. Louis say hello.

  So anyway chip wild this morning the first announcement Chip wild

  is back with NASCAR and he is announced as in with the driver

  council for safety and things of that nature.

  Kind of an odd very first announcement by NASCAR.

  I expect NASCAR to start rolling out announcements.

  God, you would think by the day, right?

  So Chip while, along with Jeff Burton, Kyle Petty, Chase

  Briscoe, Michael McDowell, there's a handful of people on

  this driver council board. So Chip while is representing

  NASCAR and he will work with the drivers on what they think of
• 3:53
  the NASCAR safety. This is a good look inside

  NASCAR, how they work now. I'll never forget NASCAR telling

  me years ago that, Herman, we used to judge by the hip and now

  we got data and we got laser beams and now it's just right

  there for everybody to see. Red means no go, green means go.

  And so now NASCAR has Chip Wild that will work with the driver

  council. Think about that.

  Now, one thing we learned about this lawsuit was that you got a

  driver council. What the Hell's a driver

  council? What you got?

  You got Jeff Burton kind of heading this up.

  Jeff Burton's the boss. I've always said Jeff Burton is

  the mayor. Well, Jeff will work with Chip

  Wild from NASCAR and him, he might say, hey, I don't like the

  way this seat is mounted. We need to work on these seats

  in these race cars. Let's make sure all the cars get

  these seats right. And then NASCAR will implement

  that if they agree with Jeff Burton and they agree with, you

  know, all the players, Chase Briscoe, Michael McDowell and

  others. And then Jeff Burton might say,

  hey, here I am at Vegas and I don't like the way this wall is

  inside the racetrack. And Chip Wild might say, really?

  So Chip and Jeff might go down to the infield at Vegas and go,

  I don't like this wall. And then NASCAR might change it

  because they might agree with Jeff Burton.

  So today seems like a mundane announcement.

  However, leave it up to me to clear it up for you.

  Jeff Burton. And you know, the driver

  council, hate to say it, don't get mad at me, but kind of like

  a union. It's kind of like a union.

  And Jeff Burton is in charge of the driver council from the

  driver's side. And they brought Chip while

  back. And Chip represents NASCAR.

  I'll, I'll declutter it for you. Remember, I'm a quick cussing

  for a little bit. Speaking of that, I just saw a

  really funny story, Eddie Murphy, talking about the day

  that another comedian called Eddie Murphy up and told him he

  needs a quick cussing. You need to find it.

  It's funny. It's good for me.

  So anyway, yeah, I forgot what I was saying about that.

  But NASCAR comes out of the gates working with, you know,

  the driver's alliance. So Jeff Burton is part of the

  driver's alliance. What a day to be alive where the

  drivers are now influencing NASCAR safety.

  And I got to tell you, that's the way it ought to be, right?

  If the driver's in the race car. OK everybody, I want to let you

  all know that things are getting ready to pop.

  I'll be at the Chili Bowl. Like I said earlier, I am racing

  at Volusia for speed weeks. I'll be down there ready to race

  where I'm going to pick up my Missouri Illinois Regional

  championship money and trophy. My wife and my daughter are

  going to pick up my Bull Ring championship trophy and money on
