- 0:00Hello, welcome to Crusade With Me podcast.
- 0:07This is not a full podcast episode.
- 0:10This is what we are calling a Crusade With Me Challenge.
- 0:14I am throwing out a challenge to all listeners,
- 0:16to people who would take this into heart
- 0:19and consider this, that this is Sunday.
- 0:23This will be dropping on Sunday evening.
- 0:25And the challenge is how to create the mindset
- 0:30to have a great week.
- 0:32We have a podcast that dropped yesterday,
- 0:37talked about mindsets.
- 0:38I know it was a little ahead of schedule
- 0:40because I plan on doing it today.
- 0:41We have a second podcast dropping today,
- 0:44talking about weak men and weak churches.
- 0:47And that's a second episode of that.
- 0:50The first one I did solo,
- 0:52this one will be with my son Andrew.
- 0:55And I wanna conclude this week
- 0:58and I wanna prepare for next week.
- 1:01And as we have stated repeatedly,
- 1:03I want everybody to be aware,
- 1:05just because we're putting this podcast out
- 1:06and put this together,
- 1:08does not mean that we have all the answers
- 1:10and that we are doing some great things.
- 1:13We all have challenges
- 1:15and we need a community, one another,
- 1:20to lean on, to learn from, to encourage
- 1:24and continue the fight to be better people.
- 1:29So it is Sunday, so what I would like you to do,
- 1:32and I have been doing this for a couple of weeks,
- 1:34that it has proven very fruitful,
- 1:37is sit down and reflect on what went well last week
- 1:40and what you accomplished, all right?
- 1:44And I've said this time and time again,
- 1:46if you had a good week, make a note of it.
- 1:48Why?
- 1:49Why did you have a good week?
- 1:51And then write it down.
- 1:53Why you had a good week?
- 1:54What did you do that had a good week?
- 1:57And then now you've got it documented.
- 1:59Hey, read it and maybe have another good week sometime.
- 2:06That's why it's important to Sunday,
- 2:08afternoons, on the evening, sit down,
- 2:12think about this last week.
- 2:15What are you grateful for?
- 2:16What went well?
- 2:17What could you have done differently
- 2:19to make something go better than it did?
- 2:23We have to learn.
- 2:27Also, I want you to sit down
- 2:30and think about this coming week.
- 2:32Schedule everything that you can for the upcoming week.
- 2:37List all the appointed times that you have
- 2:42for your commitments for the week.
- 2:44Then list out all the tasks
- 2:46that you wish to complete in the week.
- 2:51Task, goals.
- 2:54I have tasks that I have to do.
- 2:57Those are sometimes different than that sometimes.
- 2:59Most of the time they're different than goals.
- 3:03Plan those out.
- 3:05Schedule them.
- 3:07And then you have to do that.
- 3:09You have to do that.
- 3:10You have to do that.
- 3:11You have to do that.
- 3:12You have to do that.
- 3:14Schedule time in your plan to commit each task
- 3:18that you wish to accomplish.
- 3:19And then I want you to wake up Monday morning,
- 3:28maybe a little earlier than you normally do, all right?
- 3:34My normal wake up time is 4.30,
- 3:36so I've been getting up at four o'clock in the morning.
- 3:39And let me put it this way.
- 3:40If you don't have a schedule like mine
- 3:44where I need to be out of the door
- 3:47and heading to a location at a specific time,
- 3:52schedule a time anyway.
- 3:53And I would purport to,
- 3:54do you probably need to get up at the same time every day
- 3:56anyway, because it's kind of better for your body.
- 3:59And it does not take you long to get into that habit.
- 4:01I promise you.
- 4:05Schedule a time to get up.
- 4:06Give yourself about a half hour.
- 4:09And this is the challenge, part two of the challenge,
- 4:12because part one of the challenges,
- 4:14document what we were grateful for,
- 4:17what was a good part of last week.
- 4:20And then the second part of that is,
- 4:22plan out this coming week.
- 4:26Write down everything that you got to do on your schedule.
- 4:29Schedule time to get things done.
- 4:34Because if you don't do that, it's a wish list
- 4:38and it'll never happen.
- 4:40Schedule it and make it happen.
- 4:42And finally, Monday morning when you wake up
- 4:47and I want you to do this every morning,
- 4:53get up a half hour earlier than you normally would.
- 4:57And I want you to do not grab your cell phone.
- 5:02See, that's one of my downfalls.
- 5:03That's one of my addictions.
- 5:05My work is heavily reliant upon my cell phone.
- 5:10And it's a terrible habit that I have,
- 5:13that first thing I do is grab my cell phone.
- 5:16So this is a challenge.
- 5:17This week, tomorrow morning, when you rise,
- 5:21get up early, a half hour earlier,
- 5:24so you have time to do this routine.
- 5:27Dare I say ritual, let me call it a routine.
- 5:32First thing we need to do is,
- 5:34let's start our day with prayer.
- 5:36And I've talked about praying a lot on this podcast.
- 5:39I'm gonna give you a prayer to pray tomorrow morning
- 5:42and every morning thereafter.
- 5:44But tomorrow morning, this is the prayer that you can pray.
- 5:50I thank you, my heavenly Father,
- 5:53through Jesus Christ, your dear son,
- 5:55that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger
- 5:58and I pray that you would keep me this day also
- 6:01from sin and every evil.
- 6:03That all my doings and life may please you.
- 6:07For into your hands I commend my soul, my body,
- 6:11and myself, and all things.
- 6:14Let your holy angel be with me,
- 6:16that the evil foe may have no power over me.
- 6:20It's in Jesus' name that we pray,
- 6:22who lives and reigns with you,
- 6:24one God now and forever.
- 6:27Amen.
- 6:28That's the way you're gonna start the day tomorrow.
- 6:34I would also suggest you start the day every day
- 6:37this coming week by praying that prayer.
- 6:46Then for the 27th of January, which will be Monday,
- 6:53open your Bible, do some scripture reading.
- 6:55And I will purport to you, I will challenge you.
- 6:59I'll give you the scripture reading for tomorrow.
- 7:03Read Zechariah chapter four
- 7:06all the way through chapter five, verse 11.
- 7:13When you're done doing that,
- 7:17read Romans, Romans chapter 15,
- 7:21verses 14 through 33.
- 7:34Tomorrow, January 27th,
- 7:39in the church it's the honor day for John Christomo.
- 7:44Christo, Christ, I can't even say it, Christo.
- 7:54There's the challenge.
- 7:55This is the first challenge of the year,
- 7:57first challenge of this podcast that I'm putting out there.
- 8:02Will you crusade with me?
- 8:07Sit down today, this evening, Sunday night.
- 8:10Reflect on what went well last week and what you accomplished.
- 8:13Write it down, also write down what didn't go well
- 8:18and how you can handle it differently this coming week.
- 8:21Schedule everything that you can from the upcoming week.
- 8:24List in a point time of each commitment that you have,
- 8:28then list out the tasks that you wish
- 8:29to complete or accomplish this week.
- 8:32And schedule time in your plan to commit time
- 8:35to each task that you wish to accomplish this week.
- 8:38And then pray to work at completing these tasks as planned
- 8:43and as just by a rearranging life,
- 8:45because guess what, life is always changing.
- 8:49So you may put the schedule together
- 8:51and it might blow up in your face, but guess what?
- 8:53Reschedule, don't stop, don't give up, get it done.
- 8:58Let's build some consistency.
- 9:02Let's frame our mindset to be the best.
- 9:04Let's frame our mindset to be that of Christ,
- 9:10focusing on Christ.
- 9:12There's a challenge, the first challenge of the year,
- 9:15first challenge of the podcast.
- 9:17May God bless you and keep you.
