I'm your boy John B A K DJ Chill. I got my main man Cal from one of Brothers podcasts with me. And ⁓ a so familiar face that we all are so happy to have back. My main man. My brother from another. Ray, 623 AM. ⁓ Ray: All right. So you mean What up? What's going on? Good to be back, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Don't hold the applause. Give it up. K.W.: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah, man. Happy to have you back, brother. How you been, sir? Ray: I've been good, man. Enjoying the summer, man. Ready to get back to it, ready to see sports again. Ready for GTA 6, you know. It's my time of year. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I think you might be muted. Unmute yourself, Ray. Can you hear me? K.W.: I don't see his screen at all. JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ I see him, but I can't hear him. I see him. I thought I was thinking he's muted. K.W.: Do you? Mm, I can't see. Ray: Yeah, I'm right here. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It's okay. I said he should be in the middle. It's cool. Ray, jump out, jump back in. There's no biggie. We'll figure it out. So we're gonna keep rolling while we get the audio technical issues taken care of. It's just small things. That's the thing when you go live, man. You can never expect how it's really gonna work out. That's why sometimes recording it previously he's making it last. He's just gonna make everybody fight for it. K.W.: Ray wanted an even more dramatic return. Forty one. Yeah, yeah. He's like an extra five minutes. Give me an extra five minutes. That's all. There we go. There we go. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You know what I'm saying? Ray: Was it working? JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ man, the triumphant return of the the king has returned. All right. Let's take it for the top. All right, Ray, so we're glad to have you back. You know, we got some things going on and ⁓ we're so we're so glad for you. So we're we're looking forward to hearing new music. We know we got that coming. What's going on with the acting? K.W.: There we go. Ray: Mm-hmm. ⁓ Appreciate it. Mm-hmm. The acting's going good, man. Just booked two more roles. One is a ⁓ horror film and one is a T V show. They underground projects in Cleveland. So I'm definitely gonna be, you know, posting about it a lot more once it gets rolling. Right now they in the casting stage, so JonBE aka DJ Chill: I like it. I like it. So we're excited about that. So since you are our resident MBA guy, but really our our our music figurehead, we created something that we've been waiting for you to come back and join in on because I want to hear that thought processes you have when it comes to music. Chat, you also shout out to the chat pulling up and showing out early. ⁓ we're gonna get into something so this will be your first time actually going through it. K.W.: That's what's up. Ray: It's K.W.: going through it. And we're gonna break down the rules in this game. So I I'm deciding to hear with it JonBE aka DJ Chill: And we're gonna break down the rules of this game. So I I I'm I'm excited to hear ⁓ see what's gonna happen. So let's get into it. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right. Are you not entertained? You know what we talk about in this here, but if you don't, we talk about everything under the sun when it comes to entertainment, when it comes to music, when it comes to comedy, TV shows, all of the above. So, Ray, I'm gonna break it down. This is called play, share, delete. And this is your your thoughts on who you will play. And I set up a category, and you can only get I'm gonna give three people. You can only pick from these three. You gotta play one forever, you gotta share one with the world. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Or you gotta delete one out of your catalog. Now this isn't finite. This isn't like the end of it. You can never pick another person again, but this is just for this exercise. Ray: Okay, cool. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So you can only pick out the three I give. You and Kyle going back and forth and we're gonna run through them and we want the chat to chime in and give us theirs here. So this this week's category is Down South Hip Hop Artists Only. So I'm gonna name three Down South Hip Hop Artists, and I want you to tell me who you're playing, who you're sharing, who you're deleting. And ⁓ since since this is your first go, I want you to start first. We start off real, we start off real light. We don't go too crazy off top. Alright, so who you playing, who you sharing, who you deleting? You got Shorty Low. Dun dun it all, dun dun it all. Gorilla Zoe. Right. Gorilla Zoe. Who you know? And then you got Young Jock. So So you got young Jock, Gorillazo, and Shorty Low. Who we playing? Who we sharing? Who we deleting? Your opinion. K.W.: No. Ray: Mm-hmm. Great first album. Mm-hmm. Yeah, exactly. K.W.: Ha ha like the catamaran. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Chat, chime in, what you think? Ray: What's the first one again? You said keeping. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Who you wanna play? Who which music would you play? Which music would you share with the world? And which music would you delete out of your app ⁓ Apple music forever? Never to listen to again out of those three. Shoty Lowe, GorillaZoe, Young Jock. Ray: Okay. This one this one kinda easy. I will say I listened to each of these artists. So this is a you know what I mean? It ain't like I'm just blindly going into it. I listened to all of them, bought albums pretty much from I think I bought albums from all of them except Zoe. But the one I would keep is definitely Sharty Lowe. And the reason being I like I love his first album. I love when him and T I was going at it, like K.W.: Mm-hmm. Ray: You know what I mean? He brought the ⁓ D4L, he brought them into the game. I think he signed them. So he got an executive mindset. From what I've heard, he was a real dude. So I can appreciate his lyrics more, even though he's not a lyricist. He made good music to me. I love his first album. He liked Plias. They both is like underrated to me. Plies, Young Dro, Shorty Lowe, they all kind of underrated to me. And I like they they first album. So I would keep his. ⁓ The second one I would keep out for the world I would keep young jock just because I was, you know, I got to experience that in real time, you know, when it's going down came out. So the world was basically, you know what I mean? Like they they that was like a time where people would dance. So I would keep that for that reason. Yeah, I would keep that for that reason. And I would have to cut Zoe. I like a couple songs from ⁓ but I don't know if he got the the body of work. You know what I mean? JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes, sir. Yeah, dancer was still cool. Yeah. Ha ha. My main my main man Tony right there with you. He says Shoty l play Shoty Low, share young jock, and delete Zoe. Delete Gorilla Zoe. Okay. Get him out of here, man. Hey, this is your list. All right. We're gonna flip it over to my main man Cal from Warner Brothers Podcast. Chat, keep chiming in. Who you playing, who you sharing, who you deleting? Ray: Mm-hmm. Yeah. My bad so K.W.: Hey man, I agree completely with Ray. I would have the same exact setup. I'm playing Shadi Lowe. I'm sharing Young Jock. And I'm deleting Gorilla Zoe, who is like super underrated. Like Gorilla Zoe got some bops for sure. But that's the thing about keeping young Jock. You get some Gorilla Zoe music too. So I'ma share Young Jock, who's definitely got anthems. Shawdy Lowe got some like ATL classics though, which like Jock and Zoe do too. Don't get me wrong, but like Shawdy Lowe, like Ray: Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. K.W.: That first album, dun dun, they know, like come on now. Ray: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They know. My main man Mo put up. Shout out man Mo Gotti. He said he's playing Young Jock. He's sharing Gorillas O and he's deleting Shorty Lowe. Get him up out of here. He said, get him, get him up out of here. He don't want nothing to do with him. R.I.P. Shorty Lowe. R.I.P. Shorty Low. All right. Let's let's go into another one. That one was nice. I got one. We're gonna go Okay, we're gonna keep we're gonna make this one interesting. We got if y'all know who this is, JT Money. Do y'all know who JT Money is? Ray: Word that's crazy. K.W.: Rest rest in peace, Shoddy Low, by the way. Ray: Yeah, rest in peace. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I don't know, Cal might not know who J Two Money is. Ray: Yeah, I know who Jason money is. Yeah, Kyle might be too young. K.W.: Actually actually don't know. I've I've probably come across. I've probably come across, but nah, I can't say. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He made us aye ay ay ay ayah who who that who there who that who there who that who no okay so we know who you've deleting And then we got then we got Fiend Womp Yup and Silk the Shocker I know right that's the worst that's that's not a good thing to buy into. So who you pla who you playing, who you sharing, who you deleting? You can go first. K.W.: Yeah, right. Yeah. Easy. Ray: Thing, no limit. ⁓ man. K.W.: Can I go first? Ray: Yeah, yeah. K.W.: I gotta go first because I don't know the first two artists. The only one I know out of this is Silver. So JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ my god! You don't know who Fiend is? Ray: ⁓ him now he ain't no limit. K.W.: I probably heard him, but like not like that. You know what I mean? Not like, not even like Gorilla Zoe for me. I I've definitely probably heard him on features. So just for that, we're sharing, we're sharing Silk the Shocker, because I'll be listening to Silk like that. And then that's it. Everyone else getting cut. Might even cut all three. I don't know. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Whoop! ⁓ whoop wop. Ray: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: That's tough. See Ray: It's an easy round. Look, this is a easy round, man. I ain't gonna spend too much time on it. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He goes to just Wow man. Alright, fair enough. Fair enough. Alright, so Y'all want me to make it a little bit more difficult? K.W.: Yeah. Ray: ⁓ that's cool. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Alright. I'm wa I gotta give it up to his era 'cause he don't know who he don't know people. Alright, so we're gonna go we're gonna go. K.W.: I don't boast. I don't boast, but that one was tough. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Alright, I'm gonna give you one of this one's a little different. Extension Yogati. Yep, ex extension. David Banner Yogati. A little bit of everybody in that one. Ray: Exactly. Me me or him. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You can go, Ray. K.W.: Go ahead, go ahead. Ray: who you say again? Triple X, Del Gotti, and who? JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yo Gotti David Banner. Ray: ⁓ that's easy for me. ⁓ XXX, Tintacion first. I mean, keep I would keep him. I love his first album. You know what I mean? He was like the era, ⁓ era, like ⁓ era two below minds, but I connected with his music. You know what I mean? I felt like he was like kid cuddy ish, you know what I mean, but he had his own thing going. So I like I liked his music a lot. I liked his ⁓ 17 album. So I would keep him. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Ray: ⁓ the second one is what, David Benner. He made he made some good I will ⁓ keep David Benner because he made like some good good club songs back in the day. He a producer on top of that. So he put a lot of people on, he helped a lot of people get hot. Yeah. And my last reason, no disrespect, I'm a big young Dolph fan, so I just ⁓ no, man. I gotta delete your Gotti, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: And Yogari. I I figure the producer one might get you giving you the hump over everybody. ⁓ you just gonna just just gonna delete yo Gotti? That's tough. K.W.: Took took it to the streets. He took it to the streets. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Hey man, my man Mo agreed with you. He said yeah he teaches straight straight with it. He said this for the hood, this is for the set. ⁓ K.W.: He took a street. Ray: Yeah. Young Dolph makes make amazing music too. We got hits and everything, but I'm just ⁓ it's like the Biggie Tupac thing, and I'm a young Dolph fan, so I I can't pick God E now. I'm sorry. Shout out to the chat, man. Rest in peace, man. Everybody love Dolph, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He agreed with you. The the chat rides with you tonight. Extension David got it. Got it gotta go. R.I.P. Dolph. Right back at the chat in the palm of his hand already. They agreeing already, man. Kyle. Yeah, Dolph was the man. Dolph, who you got? I mean Dolph, who you got? Kyle, who you got? Young Dolph. K.W.: Yeah. So I'ma cut David Banner, even though he's a dope ass producer. But like solo, we're we yeah, we're gonna delete David Banner. I'm gonna share Triple X. And then look, I'm a Dolph guy too, but yo, Gotti, Gotti got some shit. Gotti Gotti's got some dope music. So I'm I'm gonna play, they make great music. So I gotta play Yo Gotti. I gotta play Yo Gotti. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Elite. Extension You gonna play your guy. I knew he was gonna go your guide. Ray: You make great music. You can't you can't take that from baby. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You can't take it from me, man. My main man ⁓ Tony J. What's up, Tom? He say banner. He's playing banner. He's sharing eggs and he deleting Gotti. I ride with you, boy. Young Dolph. Hey man, Dolph fans is for real, man. Young Dolph. Shout out Dolph. Everybody getting your Gotti. Damn, your Gotti name is Mud, bruh. Mud Butter. All right. Let's take it back. It's gonna make it difficult on Ray. Ray: Look, see, same reason. Yeah. ⁓ Rue. JonBE aka DJ Chill: We're gonna go Young Buck, Trick Daddy, Devin the Dude. Ray: ⁓ man. I was hoping you ⁓ I was hoping you had some people that I that I love from the South. I'm keeping easy. I'm keeping Devin the Dude. One of my favorites, man. He one of the rappers that made me confident enough to sing on songs. I love Devin the Dude. You know what I mean? So he's I'm keeping him. ⁓ you said Buck and Who? JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah, buddy. I knew it. Devonto ⁓ Devin the Dude, ⁓ Young Buck trick daddy, trick little kids. Ray: Okay, I'ma keep I'ma ⁓ I'ma share with the world Young Buck because I like Young Buck a little bit better than Trick Daddy. You know what I mean? His first two albums is perfect to me. You know, Cashville and ⁓ Buck the World, both of those, I love those albums. You know what I mean? I feel like Trick Daddy got the hits over him. And yeah, but I'm gonna have to cut Trick unfur unfortunately. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Wow. Trick Lud kids. Ray: Like I know he dope, especially his early albums, but I just I just liked I just like young Buck better. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I don't know what this world's gonna do. I alright, I wanna get in on this one. I'm keeping Dev I'm playing Devin a Dude. That is my guy, man. I'm I'm sharing Trick Daddy and I'm deleting Young Buck. Never really was a young Buck fan. I think he was the worst one out of the G unit. I think Ye yo was better than Buck. ⁓ I'm just talking. I'm just talking. Ray: It's over, for sure. K.W.: Mm. Okay. Ray: You like it his first two albums, man? Nah, bruh. Man. K.W.: Okay, that's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: But Young Buck was cool, but it's definitely the ⁓ delete Young Buck, share Trick Daddy, play Devin the Doo. Devin the Dew Man. Man. Shhh. Ray: Yeah. That's like Sade music almost, man. ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: It is, man. Man, man. Whenever you finish plotting the you scheme or whatever you doing, holla at me. I'll be in the bathroom boo-booing. He was just raw and rugged. But he was smooth with it. But he was definitely a West Coast gangster on at the end of the day. All right, Kyle, what you got? Ray: Yeah. Yeah. And you may K.W.: Alright, I'm gonna share a trick, Daddy. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. All right, so we're gonna split the difference. Okay, share a trick. K.W.: Good music, my Miami legend, right? Miami legend. We're gonna share a trick. We're gonna play young buck. We're gonna play young buck, right? I ⁓ you I was a G I was a G you I was a G unit soldier when I was like 13, you know what I mean? So we're gonna go young Buck and then we're cutting Devin the Dude, because I'm the least familiar with the he walked off the set. He walked off the set like like I said something crazy. Like I gotta get more I gotta get up on Devin the Dude. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Spit. Wow, you're d wait a minute. Ray: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: What is he owned? Ray: ⁓ yeah, man. I'm glad though, man. I'm glad. I'm glad you in a different era, man. Cause it it balances show out. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You're killing me, small talk about who's the great Bambino. K.W.: Yeah, you know, slightly. Slightly. Slightly. And y'all are mid y'all are midwest. So y'all y'all a little y'all are in the Midwest, so y'all a little closer to the South than me. So like there's some dudes like Devin the Dude who I miss. But you know, I've heard I've obviously heard some Devin the Dude music. I like it. It's laid back. It's chill. It's my type of vibe. So yeah, I guess I gotta dig more into it. Cause that's my type of bag. That that laid back spooth shit. That definitely that's my shit. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You gotta check his bag, bro. Ray: ⁓ yeah, DevD. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Alright, Chad keep chiming in. Y'all going crazy. Alright, let's do let's go deep south. Let's go deep south. Go ⁓ let's get some let's get some gangsters in here. Let's go ⁓ Young Thug. Kevin Gates. Ray: Okay, we go. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Denzel Curry. Ray: That's easy too. That's easy. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Go ahead. You got you got your answers, go for it. What you got? Ray: Yeah, Denzel Curry is keep no, I'm keeping Denzel Curry easy. Easy. Nah, I'm a I'm a big fan of Denzel Curry. Yeah, I'm playing Denzel Curry. Yeah. Mel Maria I see my future. Love that album. I've been a Denzel Curry fan since Ultimate, man. You know, like that's probably one of my favorite Miami artists besides Rick Ross. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Get him out of here. I knew you was gonna give ⁓ I thought I was gonna throw you off with that one, man. K.W.: You playing or sharing? JonBE aka DJ Chill: He playing ⁓ He's playing Denzel Curry. K.W.: All right. All right. Ray: So I'ma keep him. ⁓ what was the second one? ⁓ Yeah, I'ma keep ⁓ play play for the world Young Thug just for obvious reasons, everybody he attached to to hit records, ⁓ how unique Young Thug is, you know what I mean? And I'm gonna cut Kevin Gates just 'cause I don't I don't listen to his music that much. I'm more of a fan of his interviews, to be honest. Like JonBE aka DJ Chill: Right. ⁓ play play. Yeah. K.W.: Yeah. Ray: Like I'll be dying laughing, watching his interviews and only heard a few songs. So JonBE aka DJ Chill: My main man said he knew the ⁓ cure the AIDS. He's it's a bad man. Damn, bro, you cold. All right. Kyle, who you got? You got Young Thug, Kevin Gates, and ⁓ Denzel Curry. K.W.: All right, so I'm with Ray on this. I'm cutting Kevin Gates, ⁓ who is a certain segment of White Girls' favorite rapper for whatever reason. But like I'm cutting Kevin Gates. ⁓ I'm sharing Denzel Curry, dope artist, super dope. But we're playing Thug. Thug's a legend. ⁓ Thug's really bad as raps almost too much to a detriment. But I mean, he got classic. Ray: Ha ha ha. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Ha ha ha. ⁓ my god. Ray: Yeah. K.W.: He got classics. It's Young Thug. So we're k we're keeping Young Thug. And I had to cut him last week for a mixtape rapper, which I don't feel great about. So we're definitely playing Young Thug this week. You gave me Kips and Banks. You gave me Jada Kiss and Banks. Like, what am I gonna do? I was under pre I was under pressure. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah, that was terrible. Meh. Ray: Time make a fool. ⁓ okay. JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right. So I'm gonna go he didn't know and and the thing is nobody knows these. I'm just bringing ⁓ up. I'm gonna play Young Thug, I'm gonna share Kevin Gates and I'm gonna delete Denzel Curry. It's just me. It's just I never would have been a Denzel Curry fan. Kevin Gates two phones. Yeah, I'm gonna give me hip, but I I I I rocked with Kevin Gates, man. Only thing I like is when he be spitting in people's mouth on stage. It's like K.W.: Okay. Ray: Yeah, current. I gotta sing you some songs, man. ⁓ yeah. K.W.: ⁓ come on now. I didn't even know that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: What are you doing? I'm gonna share it. I'm gonna share it, but cause he got bangers. Yeah, he wow, he wild and it'd be random chicks and they just be taking it. I don't even wanna just I don't even wanna interact do it. You know what I mean? Interpret it 'cause make me look funny. And Young Thug is Young Thug. It's just simple as that. That's my guy. Ray: ⁓ yeah. K.W.: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Let's take it real down south. Let's take it, let's chop and screw it. Let's go Slim Thug. Chameleonaire. Mike Jones. Who? Who you playing? Who you sharing? Who you deleting? Chameleonaire. Color changing click. Slim Thug or Mike Jones? This might be before your time, Kyle. This when an MA Prime was different. Ray: Mm. My junk. K.W.: That's disrespectful. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. Ray: He said, I know my JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right, mister I'm disrespectful. You can go first then. Who you got? Play, share, delete. Yeah, communionaire, Mike Jones, slim thug. Who you who you playing, who you sharing, who you deleting? K.W.: Go first? Okay. All right. All right. This one's tough. All right. I'm going to tell you this. I'll play Mike Jones. 281-330-800-Fug. Come on now. We're playing Mike Jones. Still trying to get to league. ⁓ this is the tougher part. Slim Thug or Chameleonaire. I think Chameleonaire's a better rapper, but I think thug's more my vibe. But I'm gonna I'm gonna share Chameleonaire and then I'm gonna cut Slim Thug. JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ my god. He said A zero zero four Oof. That's tough. Ray, what you got? K.W.: I love it, but that's that's what I'm doing. Ray: list is close to that. ⁓ I'ma keep Mike Jones. Cause he made, you know what I mean, one of my favorite songs, one of my f ⁓ beats I like the most in the South. And that's, you know, Don't Fail Me Now. So I'ma keep that. His first album was good too. I would cut. I would probably cut Slim Thug and ⁓ Share Share Commillionaire. JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right. Y'all want me to make it difficult? Ray: We got a bigger catalog. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Alright, let's make it real difficult. Cut play share delete. Let's make it real hard. Pause. Lil Wayne. Future Jeezy Play Share Delete. Ray: Yeah, he's trying to get us. ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: You can this let's talk about it. Let's make it let's see. I wanted a difficult one. This is difficult. Play, share, delete. Lil Wayne, Jeezy, and future. K.W.: Can I can I c can I cuss can I cuss John out for this? Ray: Yes. K.W.: You said Wayne Wayne G G and who? Mm. Okay. All right. Ray: Any JonBE aka DJ Chill: Y'all can take your time and whoever can go first. Ray: Yeah, that one that one is hard. I'm a fan of all three of them. That's legit horror. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah, play Wayne. She Jamie said play Wayne. K.W.: You want me to go first or you got? Ray: That's tough, man. You'd be surprised, man. I'm I'm playing. I know I'm I ain't got to my delete yet. I'm playing, I know I'm playing Future because I feel like his music is more his music, ⁓ it holds up good. Like Wayne is a superior rapper, but he got a lot of dated stuff that I don't really listen to no more. Future, I feel like, can reinvent itself. His his music feels fresher to me. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Then who who you who you deleting in? Who you who were you deleting in? My man s my man saucy said Jeezy out. So he deleting Jeezy. K.W.: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It got some replay value. Ray: You know what I mean? Like I r rather listen to D S two than a lot of things. I know Wayne is greater than them, but JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ My man Tony said Jeezy. When he gonna play Jeezy, share Wayne and delete future. Should Ray: I would yeah. I was future, I would keep future. Cher Cheryl Wayne. Just because he got so many songs, he on everybody's songs. And I love Jeezy, but he would he would probably be the one that would have to go 'cause he had I like his first three albums, then after that I don't really, you know, listen as much. But I just can't imagine cutting future of Wayne. Like I just can't Wayne got too much music. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah, you plan future. Share sharewane. Share and waiting and you delete and G Z. They're going crazy. All right. Okay, my main man Mo put up and said, He keeps playing Wayne, he's sharing future and he he's deleting Jeezy. So he got him flipped on you. My main man AJ pulled up and said, he playing Wayne, he's sharing future, he's deleting Jeezy. Kyle. Ray: Mm-hmm. K.W.: This one's tough, man. As I mean, as int as intended. As intended, this is tough. I'm playing Wayne. Like just off his mixtapes, I'm playing Wayne. This is where it gets tough. This is the super tough part for me. Because I'm kind of with Ray. I really love early Jeezy. But like once he matured, the trap shit, like you know what I mean? Like you saw the trap sound, but but that means I don't know, man. This one's tough. This one's tough. JonBE aka DJ Chill: My main man cow Ray: Yeah, I was telling you. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes. K.W.: This one's super tough. Ray: It's JonBE aka DJ Chill: What up, Panda Man? I know, but you gotta make a decision. Who you playing, who you sharing, who you deleting. You got Wayne, you got Jeezy, and you got future. Your big three. Future. K.W.: You know why? Ray: Mm. K.W.: W we know that we know I like I already said, yeah, that's true, right? Now you're boxing me in. Wayne's getting played, as I as I said. But between these two Atlanta artists, man. Mm. Yeah, you know what? I listen to more future than I do Jeezy, but it's it's hard to disregard that early Jeezy, because goddamn, he was on he was on the run. I'm gonna I don't feel good about it, but I'm I'm I'm gonna share future, but and I'm gonna cut Jeezy and I don't feel great about it at all. Cause early Jeezy, man, that puts you in such a different mode. But you know what? It's locked in. I I can't flip it. I can't flip it. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Wayne future's easy. Ray: Yeah, first album. JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ it's difficult for you, huh? Ooooee. It does. Ray: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You say you gonna lock it in? K.W.: ⁓ No, I'm gonna flip it. Jeezy We're gonna share Jeezy. We're gonna share Jeezy. We're gonna We're cutting future. I feel good about that. I feel better about it now. We're cutting future. Get future out of here. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Alright. ⁓ my god, you are deleting you said you've deli Wait a minute, wait a minute. Didn't you say f didn't you say future was big three with Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and and ⁓ and Drake? Ray: Dang. K.W.: He is, but I probably wouldn't I did. I did say that and I still say that. But JonBE aka DJ Chill: And you deleting him out of these three guys. Wayne I'm just trying to I'm just trying to understand. K.W.: Hey man. ⁓ yo. ⁓ four to ⁓ seven young Jeezy? Like, come on now. Trap or die. That's a different type of vibe. I don't know that. It'd be hard to cut all that. So I'm gonna keep Jeezy for this one. We're cutting the future. And if you ask me in a half hour, it might be different. Ray: That's great. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Doug's motivation was fire. Okay. Might switch it up. Alright. ⁓ Let's alright. I got one. I got one. I got one. Y'all want one more? Y'all want another one? Chat chat seem to want another one. Alright, let's go. Let's get some lyricists in here. Let's go, ⁓ K.W.: Might switch it up. You never know. Ray: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: L'espo ludicrous. Let's go Andre three thousand. Just Andre three thousand. J. Cole. Ray: ⁓ Kyle Gorn or me. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Who you w you you ready? Ray: ⁓ yeah, I'm ready. ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Go for it. Th Andre three thousand J. Cole Ludacris. Ray: Keeping Andre 3000. Yeah. Sharon J. Cole cut ludicrous. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Play Andre three three stacks. She J. Cole. Share. Take get him out of here. Luta. You you ⁓ throw back Luda. If you had to pick. Ray: Not get him out of here. That that's too, you know, I love ludicrous. I'm just saying, like out of them three. Yeah, because obviously Andre 3000 is you know, he he beyond both of them to me, but J. Cole is cool. Like, but I got him over ludicrous though. You know. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. Okay. Who you got, Kyle? K.W.: Playing Jake Hole. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You and Jamie agree. Play J. Cole for sure. K.W.: By J. Cole. I'm sharing ludicrous. JonBE aka DJ Chill: My man Panda Man said, J. Cole, keep three stacks and cut Chris. And to Tony agrees with you. Whoa! K.W.: I'm I'm sharing ludicrous and I'm cut I'm cutting three stacks. Yeah. If this was outcast, if this was outcast, it might be different. You gave me three stacks. Yeah, I know, I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. They sometimes you gotta be ⁓ controversial, you know. So we gotta get the legend that is three stacks out of here. Shout to Ludacris. Ray: That's crazy. That's plain his guest versus alone. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Whoa. Jesus. Yeah. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: My main man said Cold World. He playing Cold World. He's sharing looter and he's getting rid of three stacks because of that flute album. He said that flute album was Buns. And then he played the flute for like three hours. Like food Ray: ⁓ K.W.: That's what it was. That's r that's really what it was. The flute did it for me, man. I gotta play the flute. Like am I gonna am I gonna play the flute or am I gonna listen to like, you know, throw them bo southern hospitality or some shit. Like come on now. Yeah, chicken and beer, yeah. Ray: I mean ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Right, how can you recite that? Right, how can you recite that? Y you can't. Ray: Chicken and beer. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ he said he said Ray: I used to love them early ludicrous albums too, man. Yeah. K.W.: They're classifs. They're classics. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They was crazy. All right. I wanna do I wanna do a group from the south. Yeah, and y'all stop. Y'all let me know, 'cause then we we're gonna move on. This is pretty good. This is fun. So we'll go eight ball MJ G U G K three six mafia. Ray: That's a good one. That's a good one. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Man said kick him out the classroom. Say he said get that guy out the cast. All right. So you're gonna play UGK? Who you sharing who you deleting? K.W.: Ha ha ha. Ray: Usy page. He can use EK for sure. For sure. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to ⁓ I'm gonna share, I'ma share, I'm gonna share 3-6, even though I personally like A Ball and MJG better, I see the influence that tr ⁓ 3-6 has, so I will share that because ⁓ you know, for obvious reasons, the hits and the trap sound, and I would have to cut A-ball and MJG. But UGK UZK man JonBE aka DJ Chill: That's what he did. He played the flute for three hours. Mm-hmm. Wow. Ray: The way I was talking about Devin the Dew is the same way I feel about Pimp C, man. Like JonBE aka DJ Chill: I got Bobby by the pound, Whitney by the key, DJ screw by that gallant. You even know it was him. That boy is cold. The game belonged to me. I can't get mad at you, man. Cal, who you got? UGK. A boy MJG36 Mafia up. Ray: Yeah, he belongs to me. K.W.: So I actually got the same order as Ray. I'm gonna cut eight ball on MJG. I'm gonna play UGK. I'm gonna share three six. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ man, listen. It's tough. It's tough. It's tough. I'm I'm playing three six. I'm I this my order right here. I agree with you, Panda. I'm I'm playing three six. I'm sharing U G K and I'm deleting eight bar MJ G. My man Mo flipped it all the way up. He said eight bar MJ G U G K he said he deleting three six mafia. Damn. Damn. Yes, that's everybody. That is everybody. Ray: It's tough, man. Coming out hard. See? That means Project Pat is gone to JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ man, that's crazy work. I mean man Tony said Ball and MJ G is my favorite rap group out the south. They you can be, but it this so you so you playing so who you deleting then? Yeah, you sharing, who you sharing? And this is your opinion. But you gotta d you gotta get rid of one. Ray: Nah, sh I ain't even mad at him. I love him, but yeah, it's just I'm playing a game. He said cheer. Like I clearly like I like A Ball and MJG way better than 36 Mother, but think about the world. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Gotta get rid of one. All right. We're gonna y'all wanna do one more or y'all wanna move on? This seemed to be I don't know. If we can. We can. But I had a good one lined up. This one all right. So we're gonna go Rick Ross. Alright, this last one. Promise. Last one, chat. So make sure y'all chime in. Rick Ross. All right. We're gonna go Rick Ross. We're gonna go. I'm gonna give you four. I always for the last one I always go four. And you can Ray: We go to the next subject. We do that all day. ⁓ go ahead. K.W.: Correct. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You can play, share, delete, and ⁓ wish you never heard it. And this is just a part of the game. So we go Rick Ross, Gucci Main. Big crit. Who do I wanna pick last? And last but not least, we'll go with ⁓ TI. K.W.: Where Jeezy should have went with a bit. Ray: Ayy man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I gotta make it difficult. So who you going with? T I, Big Crit, Rick Ross. Who was the last one I said? ⁓ it was Gucci Mane. K.W.: Gucci. Ray: Yeah, so JonBE aka DJ Chill: TI, Gucci Mane, Big Crit, Rick Ross, Play Share, Delete, Wish I Never Heard It. This is a bonus round. Y whenever ya I I know I see the wheel spinning. Chat chime in. Who y'all got? You go ahead, Cal. Ray: ⁓ I mean K.W.: I can go. I can go. I'm a go. I'm a play Rick Ross. I'ma share T I. I'm gonna cut Crib and wish I never heard Gucci. Ray: In his face. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Damn. K.W.: John was disrespected. John's disrespected. But hey, it is what it is, bruh. Ray: I wish I never heard. Well we gotta go there, bruh. I wish I never heard it. K.W.: You mean C I I mean C I Rick Ross? Like come on now, that's easy. JonBE aka DJ Chill: That was Alright. So you keep so you play you playing Rick Ross. You said you sharing you sharing T I? K.W.: ⁓ T I P, yep. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You deleting big crit and you wish you never heard G Z. I mean Gucci. ⁓ Gucci. That's crazy work. All right. ⁓ Jamie says she playing TI for sure. The rest I don't care. That's real shit. I like it. All right. Ray, who you got? Okay, next subject. ⁓ We can pass. You say he plead the fifth. K.W.: Good. Yeah. Ray: Te K.W.: Hey man. T I and Rick Ross were easy. Ray: Has Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Chat chiming in. They say ⁓ he gon' play he gonna play big crit. He gonna play crit. He gonna share T Y. He gon' delete Gucci and he gon' wish he never heard Rick Raw goofy ass. Ray: ⁓ Damn I'm trying to pick between 'cause I I really rock with all them. I'm thinking about their albums. So I'm like JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes. I know, it's difficult. What you got? Do do do do Wow, why y'all hating on Gucci Man? Go ahead. You have. You you introduced me to Big Crit. Ray: Yeah, I'm Wish I never heard Gucci, which is not true. It's the other people you pick, man. Like I I I've been a big Crit fan for a long time. But I'm ⁓ K.W.: Frit's nice. Frit's underrated. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Very underrated. Ray: But it's hard to pick him over like T.I. Rick Raw is like real South Legends, man. It's like, mm, I'm gonna have to delete my boy Crick, unfortunately. Cause I listen to a lot of Rick Raw. So I'm put, yeah. I put ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm. Mm. Mm mm. You do really? Rick Ross. New album was nice. K.W.: Do I always stove? Ray: I'm gonna keep I'm gonna keep Rick Ross and I'm gonna share TI. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. All right. So my main man tone jumped in. He said he gonna play he gon' play T I, he gonna share Gucci, he gon' delete Chris crit and he gon wish he never heard Rick Ross. Ray: I don't know why that's so funny, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It is. It's hilarious, man. Come on, man. All right, man. That's that's enough. We can do this all day. But we're gonna swing back around that corner. And that was Play Share Delete. Make sure y'all hit the ⁓ hit the email is the hyperpodcast at gmail.com and tell us what categories you want us to talk about. Musicians only, play share, delete. We're gonna also, you know what we're gonna do next week? We might do ⁓ we might do movies or maybe even T V shows. Right, play share, delete a movie. Ray: ⁓ for sure. ⁓ there'd be fires. Yeah. K.W.: Love it. I love it. Love it. JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right, let's get into the next subject. The South crazy. Ray: Shout out to the South too, man. You named Autumn. I love the South, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They crazy. All right, let's get into some ⁓ let's get into some sports. Shout out to the South. K.W.: Big shot. So JonBE aka DJ Chill: Break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts. Perfection is what sports is all about. And as we we get into this sports, we're ne we gon' talk about some NBA news. ⁓ it's been going on. Where's my drop at? I made a drop for situations for just sis like this. I be doing this shit. Watch this, watch this. Ray: We JonBE aka DJ Chill: It's not really breaking news, but it's breaking news. My one of my favorites, one of my basketball favorites has the quit officially called it quits. My main man Russell Westbrook is up out of here. He said, I'm leaving on my own terms. Can't nobody stop me before we get up. My main man ⁓ AJ, I see you. T I, big crit, Rick, and he wish he never heard Gucci. Why geez, disrespect to the Gucci man? Okay, so Westbrook called it quits. Ray: Mm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: There were some teams that were interested in him. He could have played. What are thoughts about this? ⁓ just general overall thoughts for you guys about Rick ⁓ Russell, about to say Rick Ross. Russell Westbrook retiring. I want to start with my main man Ray. I know you're a big basketball guy. What's what's your thoughts on this? It's is he gone too soon? Ray: Mm. Well, ⁓ yeah. Definitely going too soon, man. I feel like it was a Carmelo Anthony situation where they was just ready for him to be out the league. This dude still deserves to be on the team. Everybody know it. They did the same thing to Iverson. You know what I mean? It's the, it's the like, you know, the players that don't really follow all the rules they be trying to get rid of. Like, he feels like one of them dudes, he's too headstrong. They're trying to send him a message, you know, because you can't tell me. You know that 400 people is better than him in the league. You just can't. And ⁓ I'm gonna miss watching him play, man. He was one of the few people that I ever seen that played hard every time I ever seen him. You know what I mean? I think he he top five PGs. You know what I mean? He got the ⁓ the MVP, been to the finals. He won with with great players. He went without them. He he did something I never thought could be done with the triple doubles. And ⁓ in my opinion, he the most athletic PG ever. He probably the strongest PG ever. He probably the ⁓ best rebounding PG ever. He got some accolades, man. People just playing with his name. But, you know, I really am gonna gonna miss some playing. I wish he stayed in OKC, because I feel like ever since he left there, it started going downhill. But hopefully they retire his jer his jersey and all of that, give him his respect, man. And That's it, man. I'm I just it it just made me feel old, man. I watched his entire career. I watched when he got drafted. I'm for real, man. Like that era about to be gone. These is all people from my era, you know what I mean? That's in their late 30s and they all on the verge of retiring. He's like the first one that was like, damn, he retiring already? It don't feel like he was supposed to. So yeah, shout out to Russ, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It makes me feel Yes. Shout out to Russ. Cow, what you got? K.W.: Yeah, man, I agree with everything Ray said. ⁓ I actually recorded a podcast yesterday. Check out Warner Brothers podcast, ⁓ about this exact subject. I was at the gym yesterday and I got the notification that Russ had retired. And yo, it it made me feel bad. Like I I got like a little a little sad in the heart when I read that notification. And there's been other athletes from all sports that I'm fans of that I grew up watching or came up watching. And I'm like, all right, yeah, like that makes sense. Russ, I was like, nah, he he's got at least two more years in the league. And exactly what Ray said about like Carmelo and and Allen Iverson. Here's the difference though with AI between those two. And this pissed me off with Melo, too. AI, like it was, it was said. Like when he got traded to Memphis, he still wanted to start and all that and wanted to be a star player. And like, you know, it wasn't meant to be. He was past that point in his career. Mello and Russ. Ray: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. K.W.: Have both not only been good teammates, but willing to take a back seat. And there's they still got kind of pushed out the league when they could still play. When they could still play. And Melo, that last year in LA, maybe he was a little wash, but like before that, when like that transition between Houston and tr ⁓ Portland, when it looked like he wasn't gonna play, like that should have never happened. That should have never happened to Carmelo. Outside of the punch he had, Carmelo had no issues in the league. Russ, Russ ain't ever had a suspension, Russ ain't never had Ray: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. K.W.: Nothing like no teammate, no locker room issues. They tried to make one with KD. That never actually happened. Like KD would tell you that to this day. ⁓ it's just unfortunate. And again, I I said this on the podcast, like, I'm not saying it's because of Adam Silver and this being Adam Silver's league, but I can't imagine this happening in in David Stern's league. Like, why is this happening more frequently with our stars who turn to legends, who turn into living legends, who, yeah, are a little past their prime, but they're not all the way watched. Ray: Mm-mm. K.W.: You know what I mean? If he was averaging six points a game, okay. But this dude over I think the last four or five years since he left OKC and since he left Houston, it's 15, 6 and 6 off the bench. What more do you want? Yeah. And he's he's still pretty athletic. He's still more athletic than like 85% of the league. So yeah, it honestly it's one of those things that kinda pissed me off, to be honest with you. So yeah, sad to see Russ go. And I wouldn't be surprised, honestly, if we see him back. If, you know, people are like, ⁓ shit, you know what? Ray: Mm-hmm. I'll take it. Mm-hmm. K.W.: Yeah, we do need a point guard. We do need someone who brings in energy. And, you know, I wouldn't be surprised if we do see a contender that happens to get injuries. That would have to be the case. But I could see it. Ray: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I respect it. I like both of those takes on that. ⁓ I'm not gonna take up too much time when y'all touched on all the points. I just wanna I wanna say one thing about Russ. He doesn't get enough credit because of the way he went about it and him not winning the championship. And you know who those two traits remind me of? And it reminds me of his career also? Charles Barkley. Charles Barkley was headstrong, he was he was to hard to get along with for the media. But he was good at what he did, MVP, all that. He just couldn't get the trophy. So, with that being said, I want to talk about a couple of things with my main man Russ. So, Russ, people don't realize how great Russ really was. So, let's bring up some stats here. Russell Westbrook had more triple doubles than anybody in NBA history. He has as many scoring titles as Kobe. He has more 50 point games than Shaq. He's the second person ever to go 20, 20, and 20 in a game. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: More career points than Kevin Garnett. Let's go to right. Rolling 60s. He got more all NBA teams than Dean Wade. Dean Wade. I can't stand that guy. Dwayne Wade. More he averaged more 10 assist seasons than Jason Kidd. And then you know how everybody looks at Jason Kidd. More playoff wins than Charles Barkley. More playoff points than Reggie Miller. More averaged more 10 more than 10 rebounds a game seasons than Yao Ming. Ray: The Nipsey game. That's crazy right there. That's crazy. K.W.: Mm. Love it. It's a great graphic. It's a great graphic. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Come on, man. You can't tell me this guy wasn't great. He just couldn't get over the hump. Mr. Triple Double. He did it with back-to-back years? Like, people are, ⁓ he's- it don't matter. He's getting it. Now everybody's walking around getting triple-double. So I don't know why he was not a f he was not afforded a championship and it didn't work out. But shout out to my man Russ. You'll be missed. I love that he was 100 miles an hour at all times. He never skipped the game. He never was on no BS. He gave you everything while he was out there. I love it. Ray: Yeah. K.W.: First ballot. Ray: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I w there'll there probably be another never be another rust because of how great he really was. Alright. One more thing in the NBA. I want to play this game. It's called Stop Me Win. So I was having a conversation with the guys. You know how it is, everybody got a group chat full of guys that y'all talk about things and just get into one another. So we were talking about LeBron and then it flipped over to him having the best team that he's ever had ever. That was what was said. And they said that somebody said that they believe Maxie, Tyrese Maxie. K.W.: to get into a little Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Is a top blank guard in the NBA. So I said, what's the blank? The blank is above 10 and ⁓ possibly above five. So I wanted to talk about is Tyrese Maxie really that good? So and this it's called it's called Stop Me Win. So I want either one of y'all in chat also to stop me when what up, my main man? What what up there? What up, D? What's up, baby? You can you can play along too. So stop me when. I name a point guard that is better than Tyrese Maxie. This is current point guards only. The only point guards that are in the league. ⁓ No history, no nothing. They could be second string. They could be first string, but they gotta be playing right now. This ain't John Stockton, none of that. All right? We down, we understand the rules. Just stop me when. When you hear somebody you go, yeah, he's better. Let's make let's let's start off real light. Ray: As is, no history, no nothing. Okay. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Let's start with that's too light. Let's start with Colin Saxton. All right. Marcus Smart. K.W.: Mm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Lonzo Ball. Jalen Suggs Terry, I like the gamble rosier. Ray: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Kobe White. Josh Giddy. All right. Fred Fred Van Vliet. DeJounte Murray, CJ McCullum, D'Angelo Russell, Derek White, Darius Garland. True holiday. Recently retired Russell Westbrook. K.W.: Exactly. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Jal Morant. Jamal Murray? K.W.: Mm. We're getting close. We're getting close. JonBE aka DJ Chill: De Aaron Fox. Trey Young. Ray: Mm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: The Mellow Ball. Damn Lillard. Carrie Irvine. Nothing. Okay. Tyrese Halliburton. K.W.: ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Look at Kyle's face. ⁓ Ray: Healthy, healthy, there's K.W.: Tough. I like Maxie a little better personally, but you know, Halliburn's been to the finals. Hal Halliburne's been to the finals, so I feel like I at least gotta like speak up. But I me me personally, I'm taking Tyrese Maxie over Halliburn. That's me. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. Healthy healthy Tyrese Halliburton. Healthy Tyrese Halliburton. Ray: I think I I if he healthier, that's where I've my that's where I stopped. JonBE aka DJ Chill: That's the threshold for f you say if he's healthy, you take in Tyrese Halliburton over over Maxie. Ray: Yeah. I I I just don't see Maxie taking his team to the final. I just don't by itself as the guy. Yeah. This year, Maxie K.W.: Sure. That's true. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. Okay. As that guy. And Tyree Talliburton was that guy. All right. So that's one. K.W.: And that's the thing, that's why it's tough is like Halliburton's a true point guard. Max is like a combo guard. He's played the two in his career and he's playing the one now. But he he's he's ⁓ he's basically a combo guard. So Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So the chat is saying y'all skipped over Kyrie. Everybody's saying Kyrie's better than Maxi. He said he's talking healthy Kyrie. Healthy Kyrie. Say. K.W.: Mm-hmm. And it's prime most definitely. And it's primal Stephanie. I don't know about right now. Ray: Right now in the time it ain't even close here. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Said fools drunk, check they pee. K.W.: Ha ha ha ha. Ray: I I don't think Kyrie better than him right now. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Alright, so we got one that's ahead of him. So we're gonna keep tally. That's a marker one. Alright, I'm gonna keep going up. Kay Cunningham. Ray: Stop. Definitely paid. Definitely. Yep. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You agree? So Kun Kay Cunningham is better than Tyrese Maxie. All right, so that's two. Jalen Brunson. K.W.: Yeah. Yeah. Ray: Still K.W.: kinda like Maxie better, but Brunson's Brunson just wanna ring. What am I gonna say? Ray: Yeah, Brunson better. I like Maxie better, but ⁓ this is this is where they they gonna be he not gonna be better than these guys. That's probably where he stopped. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay, that's that's that's three. K.W.: Maxie's like Yeah. Yeah. Maxie's probably my favorite out of any guard in the league right now, to be honest with you. So he's probably my favorite player out of all these guys, but you know the JonBE aka DJ Chill: But as far as a point guard, you saying Halliburton's better, healthy Halliburton, K healthy Kay Cunningham, healthy Jalen Brunson are better than Tyrese Maxie. Healthy Steph Curry. K.W.: Sure. Sure. Come on now, yeah, that's deaf. Ray: Yeah. Even even old stuff. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It's better than Tyrese Maxie, old Steph. K.W.: Yeah, Steph, come on now. Ray: Yes. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Luka Doncic. Ray: Just got a garbage team. K.W.: Yeah, Luca. Come on, Lucas Lucas that boy. Ray: ⁓ gimme Maxi, but yeah, ⁓ I don't know. I'm not a big Luca fan, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: And I don't know. If you say gimme Maxie he's that means you're saying he's better than him. This is your opinion. Do you think you go s okay, I like it. I like it. Ray: I'ma say yeah, man. I'm I'm not a big fan of Uber. He don't do nothing else, man. Like I don't know. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Expand. I want to hear this. You say Luca over ⁓ Maxie over Luca. So would you you if you could swap ⁓ and put Maxi on the Lakers and Luca on the Sixers, you you you would do that if you were a Lakers owner. Ray: If I was the Lakers owner. Nah, cause it's still a business, you know. One dude is like a legit superstar and one dude is on his way. You know what I mean? I don't think Maxie gonna sell tickets the way Luca is, so. But if it was just basketball, I would do it because I want the dude that's gonna play like a Russ, that's gonna play hard every game, always in the gym, care about defense. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. Ray: Gimme him, you know, 'cause the talent gap ain't that big. So I'm just not a Luca dude like like I thought I was. Like he can score and that's really it. Like he complain, he don't be in shape, he don't play defense. So I'm cool. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay, I like it. Chat going crazy. So Kyle had the he had to burn out. He had to take care of an emergency. He let me know. It's all good. So we'll we appreciate Kyle. Shout out Warner Brothers Podcast for pulling up. Ray, we gotta finish strong. So the question is, how is healthy Kyrie not better than Tyrese Maxi? Ray: ⁓ I think it's just just like age and attrition. I don't think Kyrie got the same fire that he had. He's definitely gifted, but that's really, really it. He knows how to play the game better than Tyrese Maxi 'cause he been to the ⁓ mountaintop or whatever. But I just think I just think Tyrese Maxi at that point where it's like he can't lose, you know what I mean? Like he at that perfect age. Everything, the passion there, the work ethic there. I think Kyrie is coming down, if that makes sense. Like he ain't about to he ain't about to be crying in the locker room if they lost. You know what I mean? He kinda like, man, he's accomplished. He's I don't I don't I don't see him like on that level as he used to be, where he feared as much. I think Tyrese Maxi might put himself JonBE aka DJ Chill: I know what you mean. I respect it. Okay. Like Ray: In that conversation this year, I don't think Kyrie's in that conversation. JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right, so Jamie Chand did she say I like Maxie better than Brunson, but I'm also a hater, so I respect you being ⁓ real with yourself. But I want to add one more. So so far we got you say Luca's not better than Maxie. Just it is what it is. So you're saying Steph Curry, Jalen Brunson, Kay Cunnaham, Tyrese Halliburton, no Kyrie, healthy Kyrie, even at his advanced age. Wow. The Kyrie disrespect is crazy. Ray: Yeah. I'm not taking a look over magazine yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay, if the last I So and last but not least, is Tyrese Maxie better than Shea Gilders Alexander? Okay. So he that would make him one, two, three, four, five, the sixth best point guard in the league. Who would okay, fifth, who would you take out? Who would you take out? Ray: Disrespect. That's one of my favorite players. I would I would say fifth. And the reason I say fifth is cause ty 'cause Tyrese Halliburton, I was I was I'm stuck on what he did. I don't know how he gonna come back this year. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He knows game. Shout out my main man bands the bully. You gotta pull up and talk basketball with his bands. It's that time. Come on home. ⁓ so so you say you would get rid of Tyrese Halliburton if he was healthy. We're talking about healthy. This is hypothetical. But but you saying we'll talk all right, realistically. We don't know he's gonna be coming back from being hurt. So I can see you saying right now in the in the bubble, and you will put him ahead of him. I can give you that. But putting him ahead of Luca Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: know man. Luka is one of the best offensive players in the game. Ray: Offensive, you just said it. You don't do nothing else, man. He complained. Teammates don't like him. He messed up the Lakers, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: His teammates don't like him, it's crazy. Steph Curry ain't ain't killing nobody on defense. All he plays offense. Ray: Now he used to try. He used to attempt. That's all I need from you. This dude don't play at all. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He did. He made a good he made a good effort. Made a good effort. Okay. So I I like the thought process. So we're saying with that being called out, he is the fifth best point guard in the league. Ray: That sounded about right. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Fifth best point guard in the league. Let's see, Luca only can score. Maxie can drop 52. He said, with defense. Ray: Watch watch how he look with LeBron versus how Luca look with LeBron. Just watch. Yep. Watts. Ain't gonna be no screaming. Get back on defense. Wise. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So it's gonna be a whole different g whole different team. I respect it. Alright. No screaming. And no screaming. Yeah. They're gonna be out there playing basketball, huh? Blasketball. You see that Well they fr they friends too. They cool. So he's gonna listen to the OG. My main man Benson. This is what we was talking about in the chat. He said, Maxie about the hoop. I I'd love to see it. So my man go ahead. Ray: He's gonna be trying to learn from LeBron. Luca is like, yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. And that's what I want. He is. Cause people I was gonna say people forget that's why Shea Gilders got so good. He was the the maxi. He was soaking up game from Chris Paul. And people forget that that he had that time to learn. So when it was time and he was ready, Luca came in as ⁓ this is the best player to ever come out of Europe. He got that ego. He ain't he came in thinking he don't need to learn nothing from nobody. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes. Okay, I got a rebuttal for you. Luca took Dallas to the finals playing no defense. Ray: With who? With who? With who? JonBE aka DJ Chill: That that's true though. He did take them to the finals. He he didn't he he had he had ka he had car. He had car. He did. Yeah, ca 'cause that's that dude. You st you said he ain't he ain't better than Maxie. Ray: Why you say it like ⁓ I said you said now. Yeah. Right now. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Right now? ⁓ yeah, right now. Yeah. Guess a couple years ago it was different. Off a knee injury. So so do you think that Luca could take this Lakers team to the finals? That's that's an interesting thought press. He said said Maxie learned from hardened too. He did take all the shots. All the shots. He got like twenty-something shots a game though for real. Ray: Right now he ain't. Yeah. Hey, Harden a smart player though. ⁓ who? JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ that ⁓ talking about in the final in the finals run Kyrie took a poop all over Luca. So he carried Lu carries basically he carried Luca. Ray: They got embarrassed, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay, I like it. So this this is one of those things so he's the so we're saying he's fifth in the league. Ray: Yeah, I I got him in the five, which I think is fair. JonBE aka DJ Chill: And that was and that was the conversation 'cause it was more so my man Bans was saying that the Philadelphia seventy sixers, LeBron, ⁓ LeBron, Jalen Brown, ⁓ Maxie and ⁓ B could all average twenty plus a game. Ray: Golden Brown. That's right. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm-hmm that's and they said he said no way is Maxie gonna be better. So 'cause they say Max my ⁓ my inner circle said that they put De'Aaron Fox and Maxie in the same tier of basketball player. And my main man bands did not agree with that. Said a lot of Maxie bag came from Harden. Ray: I don't I don't agree either. JonBE aka DJ Chill: A lot of people bag no, a lot of people bag came from hard, no, if we really talk about it. A lot of a lot of people took that he took that bag, that double step back, that's that's all that all that hezzy handle, that's all hard. Ray: I don't agree with that either. Yeah, that's what I say. He's a smart player. Everybody like to crack jokes, but Mm-hmm. Name of the game is getting to the line the foul line, man. And he he do it better. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They say is Harden not a top ten player? Not in the league right now. Maybe you're talking about all time? He ain't a top ten player all time either. He just he just not. Ever? No. Harden is not a top ten player ever. He is not. He he I'm sorry. He's a great player. He the he the top seventy five all time, and that's saying a lot. That's saying a whole lot. Top seventy five of all time. Ray: He's a great player too, but ⁓ yeah. Yeah, I'm a lot. JonBE aka DJ Chill: That's saying a lot, because there's a lot of basketball players. So I don't agree with that either with Maxie and Fox. Yeah, I I don't see that. I don't see that. Ray: Nah, Fox ain't on maxi level to me. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He said Harden, my man Bans the Bully. That's why you got a pull-up bands. He said Harden changed the game. Y'all tripping. Did he change the game? He changed the game with the dribble. He changed the game with the dribble. But he just not top 10 all time. Kyle, Kyle, is James Harden top 10 NBA player all time? Ray: No, we agreed. We gave us credit. He changed the changed the game against the loud foul bait and too. Exactly. Exactly. Look at the chat, man. ⁓ K.W.: gonna answer that that doesn't even deserve that doesn't even deserve an answer bro who who who asked this question JonBE aka DJ Chill: I was Bands the bully right here. He said Is Hart not a top ten player ever? K.W.: I mean he's a he's a top ten two guard ever for sure. We'll give him that. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I said he's a top seventy five player all time. K.W.: Yeah, and he's probably even like JonBE aka DJ Chill: Said, go back and look at Houston James Harden. He was great. He was amazing. Top 50. He he could probably be top all time? Yeah, he could be top 50 all time. Ray: He might be top to top fifty, maybe. Yeah. K.W.: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He might he might even be top thirty five, which is like great, but he ain't top ten. JonBE aka DJ Chill: That's amazing. Yeah, that's yeah, he I don't top ten. Nah. Hell nah. He ain't nowhere near fifteen. He d might not be nowhere near twenty, just being real. If you want to keep it all the way a buck. But I I I can see your case for him being a top tier ⁓ number two guy. So ⁓ a two guard. So I he's the n he might be he might be top top three in the Houston Rocky 'cause he was he was amazing. Ray: Yeah. He he nowhere near ten. K.W.: Yeah, yeah. Ray: Yeah, definitely. K.W.: Top ten Houston rocket of all time for sure. Ray: Mm-hmm. K.W.: Top two. Yeah, pro yeah, yeah. Yeah. Top two or three for sure. Ray: Yeah, top two. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah, he was amazing. All right. Chat keep chiming in. We're gonna switch over to one more subject since we got y'all on the line and on the hook for a little bit more time. We're gonna get up out of here after this one. This one's some NFL news. Let's talk some NFL. K.W.: She can. JonBE aka DJ Chill: What we're not gonna do is we're not gonna talk about the preseason because that is is fun football. It's like flag with pads on. So I want to talk about Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels has been in news lately saying that he's going to put out a cease and desist order on LSU to use his NIA or his name, image, and likeness in their stadium. ⁓ it stems from his number being given to a sophomore DB who's a five star recruit and made it be in his contract. That he wanted to wear the number five. So Jaden Daniels was felt very disrespected. They didn't ask him. And what it really stems from, some people say, is that he has a problem with Joe Burrow and how Joe Burrow's being treated and saying that Joe Burrow's privileged. So basically how Joe Burrow got dragged into it is Joe Burrow gave he he graduated, had his Heisman year, and what was that, twenty twenty, something like that? Whenever he graduated. So Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They have not given anybody the number nine since Joe Burrow left. Out of respect for Joe Burrow. Said five tripping. Damn, top five. I'm just saying. We're going back to the chat. I'm sorry, I missed all this. That's only because he sell in the playoffs. James Harden does. So you can't be top ten selling in the playoffs. It don't work like that, bro. You eliminate yourself. All right, so basically something. So Ray: You can't be top 10. No rings and you don't show up in the playoff, you out. K.W.: Exactly. It's exactly Could at have two. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Anyway, Joe Burrow and and J and ⁓ Jaden Daniels both went to LSU. They both won Heisman trophies and they both are now the face of a franchise. So my question to you is Jaden Daniels is upset because his number five in LSU has now been given to a D B. And they never asked and they never came to him. So he put out a cease and desist, not for the number being used because they can't retire the number, but of like hit his jersey being sold in there, his pictures being hung up. as an alum, this, that, and the third. And Joe Burrow has never nobody's worn number nine since Joe Burrow left LSU. Do you think it's fair for Jaden Daniels to go this path to prove the point that he feels that he should get the same treatment as his counterpart who did pretty much the same thing he did and went in a Heisman, leading the league leading the ⁓ college football and all these stats, having a great senior season, getting drafted, top ten, you know what I mean? Does he have a case here? Should he feel some type of way about his number being given out and Joe Burrow not having his number given K.W.: You know what? Yeah, you know what? I think I think Jaden Daniels should be worried about like winning the NFC East. For this to be like what we're talking about right before the season starts is a little bit concerning. I would be concerned if I'm a Commanders fan personally. I guess I get where he's coming from. refresh my memory, 'cause I I really don't know. I don't follow co follow college football like that. Did Jaden Daniels win? JonBE aka DJ Chill: Anybody can take it. Ray: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So K.W.: Did he win a national championship at LSU? JonBE aka DJ Chill: So Jaden Daniels went ten and ⁓ but ⁓ he had he had a he had over almost five thousand yards. He averaged over four hundred yards a game. ⁓ he was ahead of Burrow. He had ⁓ he did not win the championship. I said that's it. Damn. But he statistically he did have a better senior season than Joe Burrow. K.W.: He won a championship though? Right. The case closed. Case closed. Case closed. Ray: Okay. Yeah. K.W.: Yeah, but you know what? I think they're both transfers. Like I think I don't think either one of them was at LSU all like their whole career. ⁓ exactly. Exactly. college football in general, like to retire numbers. For me, it would be it would be a high criteria. You know what I mean? It would be like you'd have to be a four year starter, won a championship, and you know, be one of the greats. Cause I mean, there's only so many numbers. JonBE aka DJ Chill: No, they weren't. ⁓ Joe Burrow was at Ohio State. Ray: Yeah, he was out on state. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Couldn't get on the field. K.W.: Like, come on, five's an extremely common number. And I don't know this. So is nine. You're right. You're right. I I agree with you there. Like, there's gotta be a number five who played at LSU beforehand. That's a Hall of Famer, or as an LSU Hall of Famer. You know what I mean? So like it would be kind of hard. You could play that game for all these major colleges about like whose number got retired, whose doesn't. So ⁓ I don't necessarily agree with Burroughs being retired, but I understand it. Daniels to me doesn't really have a case there. And, you know. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So is nine. K.W.: If you're gonna worry about this, maybe do it in like April, right? Like doing this right before the season, I don't know, man. Seems like your priorities aren't in place. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah, not before the season. ⁓ Ray: Maybe maybe he didn't mean for it. Maybe he didn't mean for it to get so loud and go public like this. Like in my opinion, I think it was his it probably was his mother. She seemed like she don't play about nothing involving Jaden. So she she might have been the one to push for that. But I was kind of sided with Jaden just because it's a respect thing. Like he said, you ain't gotta retire it, but K.W.: True. Very true. Very true. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Please come to me. Ray: It's a little early. It's a little early to give up number five, man. Like JonBE aka DJ Chill: And they ain't gave up nine and nine came after. My ⁓ but my main man Darian says Joe Burrow won a chip and he has the best QB season ever. I think is different, two different tiers. Ray: Yeah. It's little early. I don't know, man. You an alumni like that. You gotta show respect to your players cause you want them to always come back, you know? JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right. So I can't I I they say that Joe Burrow had the best season ever, but let's look at the numbers. I wanna I'm gonna get the numbers to you, D. You I'm a I'm a stat guy. I had that ready just in case somebody said that. So Joe Burrow's best season ever, 2019 for college football. He threw the ball seventy six percent completion percentage, five thousand six hundred and seventy one yards, sixty touchdowns to six interceptions, three hundred and sixty eight I know, that's that is incredible. Ray: Ooh. JonBE aka DJ Chill: 368 yards, five rushing touchdowns. Five three hundred and sixty-eight rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns. Now let's go to Jaden Daniels and his he won the Heisman and he did win the chip. Okay. So no chip for Daniels, but he did get the Heisman. But he threw seventy two percent for three thousand eight hundred and twelve yards. Yeah, it don't sound as good as ⁓ almost ⁓ over five thousand. I get it. But he had forty touchdowns and four interceptions, but he ran for 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns. That means something. The switch off that over he ran it's college football running backs that all they do is run the ball and they ain't got a thousand yards. I'm just saying. Let me see. My main man ⁓ D said, if it was a QB, it would be different. Ray: That means ⁓ Mm-hmm. Nobody saying he better than Burrow. It's just like show some respect, man. Like just get that number up just like that. Like JonBE aka DJ Chill: Didn't have And it is a five star recruit. The guy's a five star recruit. He was promised a number to come there. He probably like likes Jaden Daniels, but wanted that were, you know, because he wore number nine last year and he got his contract redid. And now he he got it put in his contract. The the sophomore, the the the D B. They say he gotta wear number five. Ray: His contract. I wonder why he got that put in his contract. Cause they knew they knew who they was dealing with. I just I just feel like we know how sensitive players are about their number. That's a part of them on the field. You gotta show more respect than that, man, and just gave it up. Like I think it's just too early. How long he been in the NFL? Two years? He was in college three years ago. Like it's too early, bruh. That's like K.W.: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Two years. This be his third year. K.W.: Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: One in a Heisman. Ray: Somebody it ain't the same because I think T Bow is one of the few people that deserted Jersey retired, but imagine how that would feel if they gave up fifteen two years later. People would be pissed to hear that. So it's just like I g I get the sensitivity behind it. I think it's too early to give it up. Not saying you can't ever give it up, but I don't know, man. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I mean, man, Darren said he's tripping. He said he's tripping. Da Jaden Daniels is tripping for no reason. Do you think Joe Burrow would feel some type of way if they gave up nine? K.W.: Problems. Ray: Yes. K.W.: Yeah, I mean you know what I think college JonBE aka DJ Chill: But he's a D B and he's a new coach and staff. B. Kelly probably made that promise. He did. He made that promise to him, D. Ray: I think he would. Cause you gotta respect their sensitivity, man. These are people that put money back into the school. You s sever that relationship and imagine if they did that with Joe Burrow and he was like, I ain't never coming back to that school ever again. Like that's what I'm saying. They can't JonBE aka DJ Chill: A lot of money. And that's what Jaden Daniel said. He said he's not coming back. You take my stuff down. You good. But that's it's kind of petty too. A little petty. Ray: That they can't do that, man. It's petty, but I think his mother is like she that type of agent from what I seen. So she probably was like, We about to be petty then 'cause ain't no way you about to disrespect us like that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: After everything we did for he only played there two years. Ray: Yeah. It don't matter. He brought, you know, value to that school. You know what I mean? Now they looked at as a a quarterback school, damn near. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So so So in two years he had his two years there he threw for seventy percent completion percentage, six thousand seven hundred yards, fifty seven touchdowns, seven interception, and he ran for two thousand yards with twenty one rushing touchdowns. That's grown man numbers. I don't care. And it's the and it's ⁓ what what's that? The ⁓ SEC, supposed to be the toughest, that in the Big Ten, supposed to be toughest in in football. So I think he's overreacting a little bit, to be be real. But I do feel what he's saying, like y'all, y'all ain't do y'all ain't give Joe Burrow's number out. I'm pretty sure somebody won a nine. But why y'all giving mine away to somebody? But like my main man Darien say, he's a DB. Ray: Mm-hmm. Yeah. For sure. JonBE aka DJ Chill: The dude is the DB that they got to five and say, and this is a new coaching staff. Kelly probably made that promise. So you you know, you want to keep your recruits. You know how hard it is to keep people on the team now. That's box hard. Exactly. Right, right. I'm out and you can transfer with no penalties? Like you can't really lose doing that. Ray: That's the five stars. It's like, hey man, you won't go here no more. Yeah, they gotta make the five star player happy 'cause they trying to win this year, keep their jobs. K.W.: They gotta I think colleges should I I was gonna say I think colleges should do the system like kind of how the Cowboys do the eighty eight, like they reserve it for like their top receivers. Same with like ten in soccer, like you gotta reserve the best numbers for like the best recruits kind of thing. So like even though Yeah, 'cause like college, I mean, you could retire so many players' numbers who had the same number, by the way. You know what I mean? So JonBE aka DJ Chill: Go ahead, Cow. Ray: ⁓ that I like that. That makes sense. K.W.: it makes sense to just keep it. Like I understand Burrow, but like even just thinking about it, like you c how many numbers are you gonna retire? And LSU's a football powerhouse, you know what I mean? So, like, you gotta limit it to like one or two if you are gonna retire. Otherwise you're gonna have situations like this. Cause Jane Daniels does have a reason. Like I c I can see it from his point of view as to why like you'd wanna go this route, but I don't know, it's a little OD at the same time. So Ray: You're right. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Man, what are you getting out of it? Yeah, they said they didn't even touch base with ⁓ Ray: But he said they didn't let him know. If they let him know, maybe he would've maybe he would have been like, Yeah, I I grant him the con you know what I mean? Like the passing of the torch thing, but they didn't even give him a chance. That's probably why he pissed. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They even talk to him. Yeah, that's what he said. He said they didn't even reach out to me and I asked nothing. They just kept it moving. So it's all good. We'll see what happens with them. And that's terrible to tear up that alumni type vibe from them. He was going to graduate from there and everything, but now he changed all that. So we'll see how it all works out. But we're going to get up out of here. We're going to get it rolling. I hope y'all took notes, because ⁓ if not, then I'm going to give you the answers anyway, because that's what type of guy I am.
