- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to on Base in your Bleacher report app.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I am your host, Mookie Betts, and uh today we
- 0:06Speaker 2: have a special, a special episode.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna talk to a lot of the guys.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Thanks for jumping on. Boys.
- 0:12Speaker 2: You guys are good always. But it's great to be
- 0:16Speaker 2: a champion for sure, right, sure is? So I want
- 0:19Speaker 2: to start with you, Miggy. You're like the unsung hero, right,
- 0:23Speaker 2: but you know how much everybody believes in you, in
- 0:25Speaker 2: that in that clubhouse and in that, in that in
- 0:28Speaker 2: this organization.
- 0:29Speaker 1: And so for you like to.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Stay ready, bro, you didn't play, You didn't play for
- 0:35Speaker 2: like them near like a month, bro, And for you
- 0:38Speaker 2: to stay ready, like, how long did it take for
- 0:39Speaker 2: you to really kind of get into the kind of
- 0:41Speaker 2: a rhythm, Because not playing for a month is a
- 0:43Speaker 2: long time, and like from our perspective, it's like you
- 0:46Speaker 2: came in in game six.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You don't have time to get in the rhythm.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm moving to be honest with you, I don't
- 0:53Speaker 3: know I should remember that conversation that we had coming
- 0:56Speaker 3: out of the shower.
- 0:58Speaker 4: A couple of days before I start.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah we did, yeah, yeah, yeah, because I asked you,
- 1:03Speaker 2: I checked on you, yes.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Move, you check on me.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Three or four days before that happened, and it was
- 1:10Speaker 3: crazy because I wasn't feeling that great at that moment.
- 1:13Speaker 3: You know, if you asked me to play that day,
- 1:15Speaker 3: I probably wasn't gonna be as lucked in or girl
- 1:20Speaker 3: as I was in Game six. And that's what I
- 1:24Speaker 3: I attribute everything that I date to you guys, and
- 1:28Speaker 3: to my teammates and to the guys who were maybe
- 1:31Speaker 3: on the roster at that moment. And seeing the energy
- 1:34Speaker 3: of everybody kind of like fighting for the same thing
- 1:37Speaker 3: keme me motivated to say, you know what, I might
- 1:40Speaker 3: get an opportunity here and I need to be ready
- 1:42Speaker 3: for the boys, because I think my answer was I
- 1:47Speaker 3: can be I can be negative about what's happening right now.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I need to stay positive for the boys because we've
- 1:53Speaker 3: been doing this for so long and it would be
- 1:55Speaker 3: really selfish for me not to be ready. If my
- 1:57Speaker 3: name is called and then I'm not ready to go
- 2:00Speaker 3: and play, then Game six, like you say, I got
- 2:02Speaker 3: the chance to play, dog gave me a good couple
- 2:05Speaker 3: of days in advance. And even though that doesn't mean
- 2:08Speaker 3: anything when you you haven't get at a bat or
- 2:11Speaker 3: anything like that I felt like I was ready mentally
- 2:14Speaker 3: and I wanted to help and I wanted to contribute.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Like everybody all doing.
- 2:18Speaker 3: And I think one of the things from our team
- 2:20Speaker 3: that we can take forever is like do your part.
- 2:24Speaker 3: You know, it doesn't matter what you're doing, you need to.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Do your part. And I think that's what gave me
- 2:29Speaker 4: kind of like ready to go.
- 2:31Speaker 3: And when I step up on second base, I say,
- 2:33Speaker 3: do my part, and I need to just catch my
- 2:36Speaker 3: ground balls, make the place and see what the result
- 2:39Speaker 3: is gonna make.
- 2:41Speaker 2: You did it, I mean, shoot it and the ball
- 2:43Speaker 2: will find you. Because like there was a couple of
- 2:46Speaker 2: plays you had a bare hand that was kind of
- 2:48Speaker 2: that was nasty. We turned the double play a double
- 2:53Speaker 2: plays and then the last that last pick was like poetry, Bro,
- 2:58Speaker 2: it was poetry. K through it and you were kind
- 3:01Speaker 2: of get You got to the bag a little late,
- 3:04Speaker 2: and Bro, Beck, I don't know how you caught.
- 3:06Speaker 1: That and stayed on the base. It was nasty. Bro.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I just feel like it's God given.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Sometimes you talk to me about Bro, your hands are
- 3:14Speaker 3: nasty or whatever you do is on the field. I
- 3:17Speaker 3: can't really explain or teach you how to do that.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It's something that I really do. That same thing with
- 3:23Speaker 3: you lady season and playing baseball and hitting these balls
- 3:27Speaker 3: and making this place and jump throws when you haven't
- 3:30Speaker 3: played shortstop in a long time and you just make
- 3:32Speaker 3: up a jump throw from the whole. It's something that
- 3:35Speaker 3: you don't really teach.
- 3:36Speaker 4: I just feel like that's.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Something that I mean, when you're competing and you want
- 3:40Speaker 3: to win and you want it us bad.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I feel like it just happened in the natural. So
- 3:46Speaker 1: shout out to you man, thank you.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I mean obviously everybody thanks you, but it was just
- 3:49Speaker 2: really dope to see Robot.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I want to get to you, bro. You so you
- 3:53Speaker 1: come on. You weren't on the roster at first the
- 3:55Speaker 1: first or I was.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I was on the wild card, Wow, car not on
- 4:00Speaker 5: the DS to start, and then Tanner has a little
- 4:03Speaker 5: thing so and I was on for the last game
- 4:05Speaker 5: of that and then CS I was there, but I
- 4:08Speaker 5: didn't pitch.
- 4:09Speaker 1: So how how was like being there with not pitching?
- 4:11Speaker 1: I know obviously throughout the season, right you would go, yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 1: kind of on a schedule late especially.
- 4:16Speaker 5: A little bit, yeah, a little bit when you think
- 4:17Speaker 5: have a high lever drama like yeah, it was. It's
- 4:21Speaker 5: been a crazy year for me. I'd never relieved or
- 4:24Speaker 5: done anything out of the bullpen before, and it's just,
- 4:27Speaker 5: you know, credit to Kirby and everybody down there, like
- 4:31Speaker 5: just helping me out and telling me how to do
- 4:33Speaker 5: it and everything else. But kind of that last month,
- 4:36Speaker 5: just kind of getting the chance to be a real
- 4:38Speaker 5: reliever helped me a lot. That outing against Arizona helped
- 4:42Speaker 5: me a lot. But yeah, it was just it was
- 4:45Speaker 5: a lot of fun to be on the rosters. But
- 4:47Speaker 5: our our starters were so good that like, you know,
- 4:51Speaker 5: it was gonna be vest and trying in. It was
- 4:53Speaker 5: gonna be you know, those guys Rokie finishing the game
- 4:55Speaker 5: out there's.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Only two to three innings left and cheer the boys on.
- 4:59Speaker 5: I was joking there was one game where I think
- 5:02Speaker 5: it was in the CS where my ORR ring like
- 5:05Speaker 5: it said, I took a nap when I was in
- 5:07Speaker 5: the bullpen because I didn't move for so long, and
- 5:12Speaker 5: uh so, just chilling but staying ready at the same time,
- 5:15Speaker 5: you know, trying to throw lives, trying to do all
- 5:16Speaker 5: that stuff.
- 5:17Speaker 2: And then you get in some of these high leverage
- 5:19Speaker 2: situations like and this is your first time doing all
- 5:22Speaker 2: of it.
- 5:23Speaker 1: How did you, uh.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Like and you kept you kept some I mean I
- 5:26Speaker 2: know when you hit Jiminez or whatever, that kind of
- 5:29Speaker 2: like woke the boys up a little bit, like because
- 5:31Speaker 2: you you immediately went walked straight out and that kind
- 5:35Speaker 2: of got it.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I think that the kind of gotta woke us up.
- 5:38Speaker 5: I mean, like, hey, I'm not actively thinking about anything
- 5:41Speaker 5: like that when I'm out there, but it's like, you know,
- 5:44Speaker 5: like if you're gonna say something to me, I'm gonna
- 5:47Speaker 5: say something back. If you got a problem, I'm gonna
- 5:49Speaker 5: say something back. And you know, it's just a we're
- 5:51Speaker 5: all competitors out there, it's not hers.
- 5:53Speaker 1: That's exactly you did an amazing job bro and staying ready.
- 5:57Speaker 6: And I appreciate it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You're gonna keep on getting better. You keep that that attitude. Bro.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I love it that.
- 6:02Speaker 4: I love it.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Every time you step out there, I appreciate this, So
- 6:06Speaker 2: keep doing that.
- 6:07Speaker 6: Yeah, it's all it's all thanks to you guys.
- 6:10Speaker 5: I mean, since I came up last year, it's been
- 6:12Speaker 5: a lot of ups and downs for me and just
- 6:14Speaker 5: kind of leaning on all these guys have so much
- 6:17Speaker 5: talent and so much, you know, experience and doing it
- 6:20Speaker 5: at the highest level, just kind of watching how not
- 6:23Speaker 5: not just pictures, but you know you guys, just watching
- 6:26Speaker 5: you guys do your thing every day and you know
- 6:29Speaker 5: it's it helps me a lot.
- 6:30Speaker 6: And yeah, it's been it's been super, super helpful.
- 6:32Speaker 5: So I appreciate you guys, and I wouldn't be here
- 6:35Speaker 5: without with all the boys.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And and you said, Curb helped you a lot.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I want to get to you, Curb, because you know,
- 6:40Speaker 2: this year was kind of like a trying year for you,
- 6:42Speaker 2: especially coming off of what you were what you were doing,
- 6:45Speaker 2: and and like I know we all go through it, right,
- 6:48Speaker 2: and but the way you stayed curby every day and
- 6:54Speaker 2: the way you helped the young guys, and the way
- 6:57Speaker 2: you showed up every day, bro.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Even know you didn't pitch, you.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Played just as big as role as all the guys
- 7:07Speaker 2: that played every day bro. Like for real, I truly
- 7:10Speaker 2: I think everybody would say this, you're you. You kept
- 7:15Speaker 2: us going, you kept us alive. So first of all,
- 7:18Speaker 2: thank you for always being Curb. But tell me about that, like,
- 7:22Speaker 2: because it's a different part, probably something you had really experienced,
- 7:25Speaker 2: like sharing knowledge to to some of the young guys
- 7:27Speaker 2: and those type of things.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:29Speaker 7: I mean, look, I think the one thing with the
- 7:30Speaker 7: young guys that we got, they're so incredibly talented, and
- 7:33Speaker 7: I think when you come and watch them pitch, it's
- 7:35Speaker 7: like they don't need a whole lot, and like everybody's like, well,
- 7:38Speaker 7: what do you tell them?
- 7:38Speaker 1: I'm like, you know, don't tell them anything.
- 7:41Speaker 7: Just to go out there and be yourself, Like that's
- 7:43Speaker 7: gonna be good enough because you guys are really good. Yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 7: and just try and still confidence in them because this
- 7:47Speaker 7: league is hard, man, and like you know, like confidence
- 7:50Speaker 7: is everything, and like if you can stay up and
- 7:54Speaker 7: stay ahead of it, like you're probably gonna be successful
- 7:57Speaker 7: regardless of who you are, how talented you are or whatever.
- 8:01Speaker 7: And it's just, you know, one of those things like
- 8:03Speaker 7: I don't think, you know, I'm glad that they say
- 8:05Speaker 7: I helped them, but like I probably just gave them
- 8:08Speaker 7: a little nudge.
- 8:09Speaker 1: From your perspective.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't know how you how they how they're
- 8:13Speaker 2: taking it. So appreciate it all right, I appreciate it. Yeah,
- 8:16Speaker 2: I appreciateiate it. Well, thank you brother, y'all. You guys
- 8:20Speaker 2: go ahead, man, enjoy the party. Well coming through all right,
- 8:25Speaker 2: So I'm just gonna go in order with hot guys
- 8:27Speaker 2: kind of guy here. So Blake, you know, I thought
- 8:30Speaker 2: it was hilarious that we played against each other our
- 8:33Speaker 2: whole careers. I think I have the most at bats
- 8:36Speaker 2: in my career off a picture, I think it's you
- 8:39Speaker 2: gotta be I'm happy to say we're on the same side.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Finally we were on the backfield eighteen years old. Man,
- 8:45Speaker 2: I'm up here this dude. Oh gosh, I've been facing
- 8:47Speaker 2: for that long. And so now we're on joined forces.
- 8:51Speaker 1: In our first year together, we we win the World Series. Bro.
- 8:54Speaker 2: So you were rolling, like, tell me like that run
- 8:57Speaker 2: that you were going like in the chain, tell me
- 9:00Speaker 2: like what how?
- 9:01Speaker 1: What how? You just got rolling like that.
- 9:04Speaker 2: It's not out of left field either, like you once too,
- 9:07Speaker 2: You've got too started young. So like I've seen, I've
- 9:10Speaker 2: been on the hitting side of it, but now on
- 9:12Speaker 2: being on the on the same side, Like, how do
- 9:14Speaker 2: you do that?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Bro?
- 9:15Speaker 8: Yeah, it's just a it's really just a mindset. You
- 9:20Speaker 8: have one good start, you figure it out, and you
- 9:22Speaker 8: start piecing it together and then you just lock it
- 9:25Speaker 8: like I mean, you know, like when you're hitting, you
- 9:27Speaker 8: just lock in and start telling yourself like you're the
- 9:30Speaker 8: best in the world, like prove it, prove it. Just
- 9:33Speaker 8: keep challenging yourself, and then the games just they just
- 9:36Speaker 8: start stacking up and then the whole like you just
- 9:40Speaker 8: keep that same approach, same mindset, attack, attack, attack, and
- 9:46Speaker 8: and it's able to happen, and you just go and
- 9:48Speaker 8: take off and I'm able to do.
- 9:50Speaker 2: It, and then you're doing it here and these like
- 9:53Speaker 2: being in La, how how was that doing it?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Like like this?
- 9:57Speaker 4: I like it.
- 9:57Speaker 8: I like it more in LA because it's more. You know,
- 9:59Speaker 8: when you do bad, people talk talk more. When you're good,
- 10:02Speaker 8: they talk more. So it's both sides of it.
- 10:05Speaker 1: But that's what I wanted. It seemed like you loved it, bro,
- 10:09Speaker 1: Like you seem like you made for laid out. I
- 10:12Speaker 1: like it. Yeah, I like that. I like it. People
- 10:14Speaker 1: talk shit too, and I like that.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I like that.
- 10:19Speaker 2: All right, guys, I want to I want to talk
- 10:20Speaker 2: to everybody about like the eighteen inning game. From my perspective,
- 10:24Speaker 2: I was like, oh my gosh, it's gonna take a homer,
- 10:27Speaker 2: But like, what did y'all see anything else? Because I
- 10:30Speaker 2: thought it was one of the most boring eighteen inning
- 10:32Speaker 2: games that I've ever been a part of.
- 10:35Speaker 1: In the playoffs, a lot of fly balls.
- 10:37Speaker 4: It was just five balls.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Guys try to hit homers. But that's the beauty of it.
- 10:42Speaker 2: You got two teams, two pitching staffs.
- 10:45Speaker 4: And did you say it was boring?
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, like as far as as far as like we
- 10:51Speaker 2: didn't have any action, Like it was just homers.
- 10:55Speaker 1: But I loved it.
- 10:56Speaker 2: But I'm like, damn, we didn't have any Like. I
- 11:00Speaker 2: feel like the eleventh inning game was way more action
- 11:03Speaker 2: packed in a tighter and tighter You say, no, I mean,
- 11:06Speaker 2: nothing's gonna.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Top that one. Like that one, but I think it
- 11:09Speaker 1: was game seven to Yeah, it makes game maybe the
- 11:12Speaker 1: eighteen In the game though, it was like up until
- 11:14Speaker 1: the ninth.
- 11:17Speaker 9: Extra, but I mean, if you could have scored a
- 11:20Speaker 9: run earlier, we're so old. Our team is so old,
- 11:24Speaker 9: so tired the next two you know what I mean,
- 11:26Speaker 9: That's what it felt like.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like, oh my god, early there we
- 11:30Speaker 4: were dragon last.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Two Freddy Freddy, he has a knack for just hitting
- 11:34Speaker 2: homers in those big situations.
- 11:36Speaker 4: I'm just tired, man.
- 11:36Speaker 1: You want to go home, and it worked. You want
- 11:38Speaker 1: to go home.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Tried like three different times, Yeah, and and and twenty
- 11:43Speaker 2: two from like from your perspective. I want to hear
- 11:45Speaker 2: a little bit about you from from you, Like how
- 11:48Speaker 2: was that one of the best series is that You've
- 11:50Speaker 2: ever been a part of, like one to one to seven?
- 11:54Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean I've been I've been one other seven
- 11:57Speaker 9: Game World series and we lost that one.
- 11:59Speaker 4: So this one is well there's an a on that one,
- 12:02Speaker 4: but we we we won this one, and so this
- 12:04Speaker 4: one was unbelievable.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Man, Like what was the pa him that made it hard?
- 12:07Speaker 2: Because like, I'm not a pitcher, so I don't know,
- 12:10Speaker 2: but I want to hear from a pitching perspective, like
- 12:11Speaker 2: what was it about it about them that made it
- 12:14Speaker 2: so hard to Because there's they're they're getting, they're getting
- 12:17Speaker 2: ten hits a game.
- 12:18Speaker 9: They got they got some guys hot, like Clement was
- 12:21Speaker 9: just hot. It didn't matter what you threw that guy.
- 12:23Speaker 9: And then Vladi was hot, and he's he's also a superstar,
- 12:27Speaker 9: so you got that going. And then you know, then
- 12:29Speaker 9: they have guys like Kirk, you know who just like
- 12:32Speaker 9: battles and grinds. He's a catcher, he knows what's coming.
- 12:35Speaker 9: He fouls off pitches. Barger was hot.
- 12:38Speaker 1: He had six multi hit games.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Yeah. Man, so it's just like bow on one leg
- 12:42Speaker 4: was yeah.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Hit was like oh my gosh.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Yeah. Their offense was clicking one through one through nine
- 12:51Speaker 4: basically there.
- 12:51Speaker 2: So when you when you're when you're facing a lineup
- 12:54Speaker 2: like that has a picture like what do you do?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Just try not to give up damage?
- 12:57Speaker 1: Or is it like what do you?
- 12:59Speaker 4: I mean Blake had to start again so he can
- 13:01Speaker 4: answer that better than me.
- 13:02Speaker 8: But yeah, I mean I just kept learning through Like
- 13:05Speaker 8: watching the games, I was like, okay, if you double up,
- 13:08Speaker 8: they kind of like get an idea on that. I
- 13:10Speaker 8: just felt like they, like my first two starts, I
- 13:13Speaker 8: just felt like they were on everything, like you couldn't
- 13:15Speaker 8: really fool them, and I I didn't feel that it's
- 13:19Speaker 8: hard calling.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Pitches like that.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know how many times it looked over
- 13:23Speaker 4: at Mark and the dugout like, hey, I don't know
- 13:25Speaker 4: what to do.
- 13:27Speaker 9: Just give me something like give me a little confidence
- 13:29Speaker 9: in some pitch that I can give a picture like
- 13:31Speaker 9: that happened so many times during that series.
- 13:33Speaker 10: They had a magic wand it was just like it
- 13:35Speaker 10: was two and three balls below the zone. It was
- 13:38Speaker 10: just fine finding space.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It was always a hit.
- 13:41Speaker 11: Always, it was always a hit, if I'm being honest
- 13:44Speaker 11: by we played a lot of playoffs series that this
- 13:49Speaker 11: is one that stood out, like, like you guys in eighteen,
- 13:53Speaker 11: not many teams that we play against the like in
- 13:56Speaker 11: like in the playoffs have like a team wide approach,
- 14:00Speaker 11: and it seemed like that team they were on a
- 14:02Speaker 11: team approach, and that to me, that was a big
- 14:05Speaker 11: difference compared to some of the other teams we played.
- 14:08Speaker 2: And I was looking and I was I was, uh,
- 14:11Speaker 2: you know, you've heard where the Snyders like Dave vers
- 14:13Speaker 2: lithe and all other stuff, and I definitely understand that.
- 14:17Speaker 2: And then I looked back and I'm like, well, they
- 14:19Speaker 2: really they hit better than us, because you know last
- 14:22Speaker 2: year the Padres, they were like we felt like they
- 14:24Speaker 2: were like they were a better team, but we just
- 14:26Speaker 2: we won, like we played played a better series X,
- 14:29Speaker 2: Y and Z. This team, I'm like, well, yeah, they
- 14:31Speaker 2: did get hot, but the rest of it is, like
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'm thinking about our team, we just played like this
- 14:37Speaker 2: the whole time.
- 14:39Speaker 1: We never really got up and we never got down.
- 14:43Speaker 1: We just played like this the whole.
- 14:45Speaker 11: We won a World series and we didn't play good
- 14:47Speaker 11: at all all throughout the playoffs, the whole play good,
- 14:50Speaker 11: and we won a World series like this.
- 14:52Speaker 1: That's how nasty we were, and that's that's that's something
- 14:55Speaker 1: for us to be proud of. Though.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Starters were pretty good.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Star starters, you guys.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Stars are pretty good.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You the Yoshi.
- 15:02Speaker 10: What Yoshi did was under that was so set. I'll
- 15:06Speaker 10: never forget that. Never he o zero days rest. I
- 15:10Speaker 10: mean obviously the World Series, but even like all the
- 15:14Speaker 10: other series.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean every every gaming pitch.
- 15:17Speaker 8: It's not even that he went on zero days rest.
- 15:19Speaker 8: He was on zero day's rest and looked the same
- 15:21Speaker 8: as if he has six years.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Yeah, I'm like, how do you do that.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Today?
- 15:30Speaker 12: I forgot to ask him how he felt today? Was
- 15:32Speaker 12: really sore on the bus yesterday? He was like sure,
- 15:39Speaker 12: So anyways, Yeah, that that was a That was a
- 15:41Speaker 12: great ride, bros. That was That was one of the
- 15:44Speaker 12: most Team one World Series or teams that I've been
- 15:50Speaker 12: a part of, where everybody literally contributed. Tell me about
- 15:54Speaker 12: that that moment when you came out of the bullpen
- 15:57Speaker 12: and you you you gotta get a out.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Were you going for a punchy or what were you
- 16:01Speaker 1: going for just an out?
- 16:02Speaker 9: Yeah, I was loose. I'd been up four times. I
- 16:05Speaker 9: was down there, just ready to go. I was throwing gas,
- 16:10Speaker 9: throwing gas. My slider was about as the same speed
- 16:14Speaker 9: and movement as my fastball at that point. But finally
- 16:17Speaker 9: that three to two one actually went the other way. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 9: so he rolled over on it.
- 16:21Speaker 4: So it was good. It took me like five of them,
- 16:23Speaker 4: but I got one good one and he rolled over.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And have you ever had like have you ever felt
- 16:28Speaker 2: I mean, I know you have obviously been in big situations,
- 16:31Speaker 2: but like that was your first time coming in like that.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I'd come out of the pen before
- 16:36Speaker 4: in the playoffs.
- 16:37Speaker 9: But uh, the only weather one like that was twenty
- 16:40Speaker 9: sixteen when guys were on base when against the Nationals.
- 16:43Speaker 9: This that was the last time, like the game was
- 16:46Speaker 9: on the line with guys on base, last time I
- 16:47Speaker 9: did that.
- 16:48Speaker 1: So it's a long time. I mean, that's eight years ago.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Tell me about it, you know, so on like one
- 16:53Speaker 4: day rest, yep, Yeah, but this one I was I
- 16:56Speaker 4: had plenty of days and I was loose and I
- 16:58Speaker 4: got it out. So but yeah, man, looking back for
- 17:01Speaker 4: that to be the last time I ever pitched.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Is you let you?
- 17:06Speaker 4: Let you?
- 17:07Speaker 11: Uh?
- 17:07Speaker 1: You gave it a nice ah.
- 17:09Speaker 4: I feel like, yeah, yeah, I just had to do it.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I didn't want to. I just had to do it. Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 4: it felt good.
- 17:15Speaker 13: He ask him about if he knew that we had
- 17:19Speaker 13: won the World Series.
- 17:19Speaker 4: I didn't know we won the World Series? Did you
- 17:21Speaker 4: know that?
- 17:22Speaker 1: What you mean?
- 17:22Speaker 4: I had no idea we won the World Series? I had.
- 17:25Speaker 9: I was warming up and I saw a lot of
- 17:28Speaker 9: hit the double so I started getting going faster. I
- 17:31Speaker 9: didn't see uh Connor full off. I call him awful
- 17:36Speaker 9: every time.
- 17:36Speaker 4: I know. I'm sorry he bunted. I didn't see that.
- 17:41Speaker 9: And so I saw, uh, you know, Barger's on first
- 17:43Speaker 9: with the walk and so Kirk grounds of the double play,
- 17:48Speaker 9: and I'm thinking, okay, two outs, run scores games tied,
- 17:51Speaker 9: we got Lefty var show up. I'm in the game,
- 17:55Speaker 9: and then barows just look in my face, why are
- 17:57Speaker 9: you throwing it's over?
- 17:58Speaker 4: We won the World Series? Yeah, he's the one telling
- 18:01Speaker 4: me won the World Series.
- 18:02Speaker 1: So you look out there to confirm that we were.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I looked out and I looked at him and he
- 18:06Speaker 4: said we won the World Series. Like, oh, okay, that's great.
- 18:13Speaker 4: I had no idea.
- 18:14Speaker 1: That's crazy, that's good.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Anyways, I've said it a thousand times. It's been a
- 18:19Speaker 2: pleasure of twenty two. Enjoy your retirement, will I will.
- 18:23Speaker 2: What are you going to get into?
- 18:25Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I don't know. No, I mean something, I just I
- 18:30Speaker 4: don't know yet. I'm on the no plan plan.
- 18:32Speaker 6: For a little while.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I hadn't thought about it.
- 18:33Speaker 9: Really, I'm starting two more, but I also have four kids.
- 18:39Speaker 9: You got another one coming, so that'll I'll be busy.
- 18:42Speaker 4: You're gonna be busy.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Soccer van, I know.
- 18:44Speaker 4: I need to look into like a sprinter van situation.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Do you have to get your cd as to drive it?
- 18:49Speaker 4: What's up?
- 18:50Speaker 1: Uh?
- 18:50Speaker 4: No, because no, Freddy's got one, right or they have one,
- 18:53Speaker 4: but he don't drive it though. Oh, I don't know.
- 18:55Speaker 4: I'll look into that, put it on, put it on
- 18:58Speaker 4: my list.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You ain't as we'll become a pilot or something.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Because I don't have hobbies and talents like you. I
- 19:05Speaker 4: can't learn a guitar.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I can't.
- 19:07Speaker 4: I can't. I don't do that. I play baseball and
- 19:09Speaker 4: I take care of kids. That's all I know. But
- 19:13Speaker 4: if I tried that, I get so frustrated, I break
- 19:15Speaker 4: the guitar.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Over my knee. Got to try it all.
- 19:20Speaker 2: But anyways, thanks, thank you guys for coming to a C.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I want to hear from you. You get traded over
- 19:25Speaker 2: and then you're around all these guys.
- 19:28Speaker 1: How was it?
- 19:29Speaker 4: I mean, it's unbelievable.
- 19:31Speaker 10: You never know, like when you walk into the new
- 19:32Speaker 10: locker room what's gonna be like, But especially when you
- 19:36Speaker 10: got Hall of Famer and all stars everywhere, it's like
- 19:40Speaker 10: you don't know how you're gonna gel or mix. But
- 19:42Speaker 10: you guys are awesome and I felt right at home
- 19:45Speaker 10: just try to do my thing.
- 19:46Speaker 4: It was day what was it?
- 19:47Speaker 1: Day one?
- 19:48Speaker 10: I had the Oculus son and NIGGI road takes a
- 19:50Speaker 10: picture of you know, so I was just like, hey,
- 19:57Speaker 10: well this is my routine and whatever, and you know
- 20:00Speaker 10: I can take a little ribbing and then you know
- 20:02Speaker 10: it's like, oh, that's that's what he does.
- 20:04Speaker 4: And I was just able to be my own skin.
- 20:06Speaker 4: You know.
- 20:08Speaker 1: It was good and kicks. When you were laying on
- 20:10Speaker 1: the ground, bro like, did did did what happened? I
- 20:14Speaker 1: thought we lost? What you mean?
- 20:17Speaker 4: I had the ball.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Because you were running in like it looked like you
- 20:22Speaker 1: were about to catch it.
- 20:23Speaker 11: Took a bad job because Ernie Clement like took that
- 20:27Speaker 11: like half swing thing, and the ball looked from left.
- 20:29Speaker 13: Field like it was going to bounce.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 11: So I figured he's gonna dump one in front of
- 20:34Speaker 11: another one in front of me, like he did like
- 20:35Speaker 11: seven times.
- 20:37Speaker 13: So I half step in and then I'm like, oh no,
- 20:39Speaker 13: this ball is really far away from me.
- 20:40Speaker 11: So I'm running full speed and as I finally, you know,
- 20:43Speaker 11: World Series on the line, I'm like, I need to
- 20:45Speaker 11: catch this.
- 20:46Speaker 13: I got to run through a wall, run through a wall.
- 20:48Speaker 11: And then I'm like, all right, I got it, and
- 20:49Speaker 11: I'm slowing down and I'm about to pull a Willie
- 20:52Speaker 11: May's catch, and out of nowhere, I got posterized.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Yeah, man, my first thought. Came over and Randy moust
- 21:01Speaker 1: you thought, yeah, my.
- 21:02Speaker 13: First I had it. He jumped over me. Now we lost.
- 21:07Speaker 11: So I'm on the ground and I hear silence, but
- 21:09Speaker 11: I think it's because my brain is protecting me from heartbreak.
- 21:13Speaker 11: And we had just lost the World Series and Piaus
- 21:15Speaker 11: came and asked me, are you okay? And I was like,
- 21:19Speaker 11: forget about me. Did you catch it?
- 21:21Speaker 1: He goes yeah, And I was like oh yeah, okay,
- 21:25Speaker 1: that's why the smile. I thought we lost the World Series.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Nice all right, Well, yeah, I don't want to keep
- 21:31Speaker 2: you guys man, go enjoy the party.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I love you, guys man, Thank.
- 21:35Speaker 4: You, thank you.
- 21:36Speaker 1: All right, boys, So.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Both of you guys hit essentially the Homers that won
- 21:42Speaker 2: the World Series. Months you Savage right there. He's a
- 21:46Speaker 2: reverse guy, so he's really harder or lefties. And I
- 21:50Speaker 2: don't think anybody really saw him good. It wasn't like
- 21:53Speaker 2: he's a really good picture. Obviously. I'm not saying he's
- 21:55Speaker 2: any anything. But his slider was messed. I could not
- 21:58Speaker 2: see it through. I couldn't. I was just swinging and
- 22:01Speaker 2: missing and you come up but you get a splitter though,
- 22:07Speaker 2: well I mean the splitter and the slider did the
- 22:10Speaker 2: exact same thing.
- 22:11Speaker 4: One was just slower, you know, and they were spinning
- 22:14Speaker 4: a little different.
- 22:14Speaker 14: But you know, to me, and I said this in
- 22:18Speaker 14: one of the Hitters meetings, I said, I want to
- 22:20Speaker 14: treat him like I'm facing a left handed picture that's
- 22:22Speaker 14: just throwing down sliders. So you know, that was my
- 22:26Speaker 14: whole approach, was like, Okay, if I'm facing a lefty,
- 22:29Speaker 14: this has got to start at me, and it's got
- 22:31Speaker 14: to be up because when you usually when you face
- 22:33Speaker 14: a riding and the ball starts at you, you're you're
- 22:35Speaker 14: jumping out the way, and you know, the first couple
- 22:37Speaker 14: of times I faced him, I did jump out of
- 22:38Speaker 14: the way.
- 22:38Speaker 4: I was like, oh, I don't know what I'm looking
- 22:40Speaker 4: at right here, and.
- 22:41Speaker 1: He throws the splitter. You hit a homer? What do
- 22:44Speaker 1: you How do you feel like once you hit that homer?
- 22:47Speaker 1: What was going through ahead? Not necessarily about you, but
- 22:50Speaker 1: about the game. Because when you hit that home run,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, we got a chance of winning this game.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Now.
- 22:55Speaker 14: I wasn't sure, I'll be honest, I mean because I
- 22:57Speaker 14: hit the home run and the first you know, I'm
- 23:01Speaker 14: sitting there in the box like I know I got it.
- 23:03Speaker 14: So I kind of walk out of it a little bit,
- 23:04Speaker 14: and I'm like, I don't know how much emotion I
- 23:06Speaker 14: should be showing right now.
- 23:07Speaker 4: We're still down by one.
- 23:08Speaker 14: I didn't want to be like when we're watching, you know,
- 23:11Speaker 14: the dude hitting the you know, the home run and
- 23:14Speaker 14: they're still down by six or whatever it was. But
- 23:16Speaker 14: so I was like, I don't know how much emotion
- 23:17Speaker 14: I should be showing right now. But then in the
- 23:19Speaker 14: back of my head, I said, this at least guarantees
- 23:22Speaker 14: show Hey gets up one more time, which is huge,
- 23:24Speaker 14: and so I was like, we this gives us a chance,
- 23:27Speaker 14: like it gets us closer, and it gives us a
- 23:28Speaker 14: chance because I know Sho Hay is getting up one
- 23:30Speaker 14: more time.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And then and then obviously Migi Row hits the home.
- 23:33Speaker 2: It's like when Migi Ro hit the home where I'm like,
- 23:36Speaker 2: we're gonna win this game. We're going to backdoor and
- 23:39Speaker 2: win this game, especially because Yoshi was on the mount.
- 23:42Speaker 14: You know what's funny is I had this feeling all
- 23:45Speaker 14: game seven that we were gonna come back and win
- 23:46Speaker 14: that game. But I had this feeling all game six
- 23:49Speaker 14: that we were going to find a way to lose
- 23:50Speaker 14: that thing. You know, yeah, it was you know, we
- 23:54Speaker 14: kept going three and out towards the end there, and
- 23:55Speaker 14: I was like, the crowd's getting into us, We're gonna
- 23:58Speaker 14: lose this game. But then on the flip side games
- 24:00Speaker 14: and I was like, we're gonna come back. The crowd
- 24:01Speaker 14: kept getting.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Quieter and quieter.
- 24:02Speaker 4: I was like, we're gonna find a way to win
- 24:04Speaker 4: this game.
- 24:04Speaker 2: And then Submitte, you come up bro, you hit your homer.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Obviously you're not trying to hit a homer, but you're
- 24:12Speaker 2: trying to make something happen. When we got Bieber with
- 24:14Speaker 2: who shoved against us, how was you feeling that, especially
- 24:18Speaker 2: when you moved it hitting second, which was a huge
- 24:20Speaker 2: smart move by Doc because he needed someone to really
- 24:24Speaker 2: hit behind the show because they were walking show every
- 24:26Speaker 2: single time.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And you come in and you you you doing your thing,
- 24:30Speaker 1: like tell me, take me through, like you your thought process,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and then you hit the homer.
- 24:35Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean you know, I honestly prepared for Bieber
- 24:38Speaker 9: earlier in the game. We had talked about it on
- 24:40Speaker 9: the meeting and like how I was going to kind
- 24:41Speaker 9: of face them, and we faced them a few days prior.
- 24:45Speaker 9: He threw me a couple of cutters, got me on
- 24:46Speaker 9: some cutters and and.
- 24:48Speaker 4: All those things.
- 24:48Speaker 9: Just stay up the middle, you know, get him in
- 24:50Speaker 9: the air, stam up the middle and just get on
- 24:52Speaker 9: base and like Freddy do his thing.
- 24:54Speaker 4: That's what I was thinking.
- 24:55Speaker 1: And then you clipped it.
- 24:55Speaker 4: What was it?
- 24:56Speaker 1: As soon as you hit as soon as you clipped
- 24:57Speaker 1: what happened? Like the instant that you hit it? What
- 25:00Speaker 1: what went through your head?
- 25:01Speaker 4: I'm just hoping it's getting far enough. I mean, how
- 25:04Speaker 4: many balls we hit.
- 25:05Speaker 9: There that there was there was just came up not
- 25:08Speaker 9: as far as you like constantly the whole series. So
- 25:12Speaker 9: I'm just like, please get out, like please, we need
- 25:14Speaker 9: to run here. You know, it's game seven, it's it's sick.
- 25:17Speaker 9: And then it goes I'm like, you know, holy cow,
- 25:19Speaker 9: like I don't, I just just running what do you?
- 25:22Speaker 9: Big high five? Run around waving the bullpen, come in,
- 25:26Speaker 9: fired up for the guys, and then like you know,
- 25:29Speaker 9: I just hear key in the back. Hey we got
- 25:30Speaker 9: to get three more outs. I'm like, oh yeah, like
- 25:33Speaker 9: switching gears, how the heck are you gonna?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah? How were you feeling? And you had to put
- 25:39Speaker 1: the fingers down with yosh And that was kind of
- 25:42Speaker 1: a tricky situation to get through leading off, and he
- 25:45Speaker 1: it's it bro you every pitch that you called, and
- 25:50Speaker 1: then Laddie bat that he hit the double, I'm like,
- 25:53Speaker 1: that's a great pitch. And then he out of the
- 25:56Speaker 1: fast ball.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Kept taking it too. So I didn't really have an
- 25:58Speaker 4: idea where he was looking.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Dude, I don't think anybody knew. Nobody knew he was
- 26:02Speaker 1: bobbing every time, every time, every single time we would.
- 26:05Speaker 4: That series was so impressive, sticking to his approach, you know.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Every every and then double fastball? What else?
- 26:13Speaker 4: What else could you have thrown?
- 26:15Speaker 9: Maybe a splitter, but like, you don't want to walk
- 26:17Speaker 9: him there, you don't like honestly, I thought about going
- 26:19Speaker 9: curveball right there, just to he hadn't seen any at
- 26:22Speaker 9: that bat and then got him. He was kind of
- 26:26Speaker 9: zooing the curve ball, so I didn't want to like
- 26:29Speaker 9: throw something competitive.
- 26:31Speaker 4: You know, we had jammed a few times on some heaters.
- 26:33Speaker 4: You just happened to pull the sime instead of hitting
- 26:34Speaker 4: the center, which is crazy.
- 26:36Speaker 1: How did he know?
- 26:37Speaker 2: But whatever that that doesn't matter. So then boom boom,
- 26:40Speaker 2: you're navigating through the situation. Then you you get two
- 26:44Speaker 2: once we got to o two to Kirk because anytime
- 26:48Speaker 2: before two strikes with Kirk, I'm not expecting anything on
- 26:52Speaker 2: the ground. I'm expecting him to hit it fair, especially
- 26:55Speaker 2: because he doesn't really swing it miss much.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Then you got to two him, like, I mean, I'm
- 27:01Speaker 1: going for a punch out right there. Okay, you're going
- 27:04Speaker 1: to want to get a chance to get a double
- 27:06Speaker 1: play because I didn't think he was going to punch out.
- 27:09Speaker 4: He was going to punch out.
- 27:10Speaker 9: That's the mindset right there. Punch You don't want to
- 27:12Speaker 9: move in this ball something happening. You want to punch
- 27:15Speaker 9: out to outs get the next guy. That's what you're thinking. Okay,
- 27:18Speaker 9: then it hits it right too, and then he hits
- 27:20Speaker 9: the hill ground ball.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I mean when he got to O two, from my thought,
- 27:23Speaker 2: I was like, he may be to hit a groundball now,
- 27:26Speaker 2: But I don't know, I thought at no point once
- 27:29Speaker 2: he punched out first and third, Alejandro Kirk. But hey,
- 27:34Speaker 2: you you know you do you think?
- 27:36Speaker 1: All right? So do y'all go ahead?
- 27:37Speaker 4: Do you think?
- 27:37Speaker 1: Man? Thanks for coming on months. I love you, bro,
- 27:41Speaker 1: You're good? All right? All right?
- 27:43Speaker 2: Boys, So I want to talk to you guys. You pictures, man,
- 27:45Speaker 2: you pictures. I was talking to the other pictures and
- 27:49Speaker 2: I was like navigating that lineup. It seemed like it
- 27:51Speaker 2: was really tough. And then in that eighteen any game
- 27:54Speaker 2: you did what you did? How like, at what point
- 27:59Speaker 2: where you like, man, I'm done or it was adrenaline
- 28:02Speaker 2: just flowing?
- 28:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I don't I don't think the adrenalines
- 28:05Speaker 1: really stopped.
- 28:06Speaker 4: But yeah, I think we could have kept going.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I was.
- 28:09Speaker 4: I was glad to see. Uh yeah, I'm a woman
- 28:11Speaker 4: up there in the nineteenth Okay, okay, that was that
- 28:14Speaker 4: was fun.
- 28:15Speaker 1: You uh you had you ever done anything like that before.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Not not as reliever or as a professional all really.
- 28:22Speaker 1: So that was your first time with everything.
- 28:23Speaker 4: You just never done four before, not not in pro ball.
- 28:26Speaker 1: No, I started like four games junior year of college.
- 28:29Speaker 4: But making you a starter, now I have a feeling.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Then we got enough of you guys.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Yeah, for real, that was nasty fill glass. And then
- 28:36Speaker 1: you come in and uh obviously you do your thing
- 28:40Speaker 1: throughout playoffs and you come in and relief a couple
- 28:43Speaker 1: of times. And I remember coming. I remember asking you, like,
- 28:46Speaker 1: did you like it? You said you liked it. So
- 28:48Speaker 1: when you came in to relief, I think the game seven,
- 28:51Speaker 1: how many energy pitch?
- 28:52Speaker 4: I was what two and a third and seven? And
- 28:54Speaker 4: then I got three outs game six?
- 28:57Speaker 1: How was that?
- 28:58Speaker 15: Did you enjoy the It's cool. It's just so you
- 29:00Speaker 15: don't have as much time to think. I think it's
- 29:01Speaker 15: it's different. It's just like starting. You have your whole thing,
- 29:04Speaker 15: you prepare all day long. You're a little nervous throughout
- 29:06Speaker 15: the day you kind of have that like weird stomach feeling,
- 29:08Speaker 15: which is like fun and annoying at the same time.
- 29:10Speaker 15: But in the bullpen, it's just like you can be
- 29:13Speaker 15: not warmed up at all in the phone rings and
- 29:14Speaker 15: you're just like I'm ready, I'm ready to go.
- 29:16Speaker 4: You throw four pitches, you feel good.
- 29:18Speaker 2: You know it's crazy because you were talking and stuff
- 29:20Speaker 2: throughout the day. Yeah, and I'm like, damn, but he
- 29:23Speaker 2: knows he's hot tonight.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 29:25Speaker 4: But it's different though.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Okay, so you're so you're more normal if you're in
- 29:29Speaker 1: the bullpen. Yeah, I think that you're not normal.
- 29:31Speaker 15: Yeah, but like starting I think yeah, because the whole
- 29:33Speaker 15: day you're preparing and you have like an idea what
- 29:35Speaker 15: you're doing, so your mind is like half like consciously
- 29:38Speaker 15: there consciously what you're doing. You're just trying to be
- 29:40Speaker 15: normal throughout the day to like get it cause you
- 29:41Speaker 15: have that. It's like taking a test you've been preparing for.
- 29:44Speaker 4: You you know what I mean. You have like this
- 29:45Speaker 4: thing you're preparing for. You're trying to do it as
- 29:47Speaker 4: a bullpen.
- 29:48Speaker 15: You know what you want to do, but you don't
- 29:49Speaker 15: know when you're getting in necessarily in the role that
- 29:51Speaker 15: I was in, I had no idea.
- 29:53Speaker 1: So you just throw you in there, and so you
- 29:54Speaker 1: there's no way to like mentally be like that and
- 29:57Speaker 1: you may not pitch.
- 29:58Speaker 15: Yeah, I think that's probably the hardest part about the
- 30:00Speaker 15: bullpen is like you're always like that, right, You're always
- 30:03Speaker 15: like on edge, and then like sometimes you pitch, sometimes
- 30:05Speaker 15: you don't. I even talking to curse too. It's just
- 30:07Speaker 15: like I think you just you like lose weight and
- 30:10Speaker 15: you burn so many more calories than you do as
- 30:12Speaker 15: a starter. You're always on edge. It's like always like
- 30:13Speaker 15: constant anxiety during the game, You're always moving around. It's
- 30:16Speaker 15: just different. It's like the same thing once you get
- 30:18Speaker 15: out there. It's pitching, but it's wild like the differences
- 30:21Speaker 15: between the two.
- 30:22Speaker 2: How was it, How was it for you navigating through
- 30:25Speaker 2: their lineup? Like was it just like you're throwing your
- 30:27Speaker 2: stuff or pretty normal like you? I mean, obviously they
- 30:31Speaker 2: had some guys that were Yeah. I think like out
- 30:33Speaker 2: of all the teams we played, for.
- 30:34Speaker 15: Sure, I knew the Blue Jays would be the hardest team.
- 30:36Speaker 15: I think even when they were playing Seattle and they
- 30:38Speaker 15: were down.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I was like, something's gonna happen.
- 30:39Speaker 4: They're gonna win, like I just know it.
- 30:41Speaker 15: I think against the Rays too, they always gave me trouble.
- 30:43Speaker 1: The Blue Jays are always been really good.
- 30:44Speaker 15: They were probably one of like the top three offensive
- 30:47Speaker 15: team the last like five years.
- 30:48Speaker 1: In a row. They have like every offensive category.
- 30:51Speaker 4: They've always been good.
- 30:52Speaker 15: But it is I think it's more like I'll go
- 30:54Speaker 15: to my strengths, but like there are some there's certain
- 30:56Speaker 15: things on the skouting report that are like glaring weaknesses,
- 30:58Speaker 15: but like it didn't really work.
- 31:01Speaker 4: They're a really good team and they did. They did
- 31:04Speaker 4: a lot of really good things. This series.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Was it hard?
- 31:07Speaker 2: So you see us go down we're down for to
- 31:10Speaker 2: boom boom boom? Was it hard to keep the vibes up?
- 31:14Speaker 2: Or how was how was that?
- 31:16Speaker 1: No?
- 31:16Speaker 16: Actually, you know what, I don't know if it was
- 31:18Speaker 16: you that I said it too. As soon as bo
- 31:19Speaker 16: hit that homer the three we went down three nothing,
- 31:22Speaker 16: I was like, it's about to be a wild game
- 31:25Speaker 16: because like I never felt like we were out.
- 31:27Speaker 4: We needed to just get punched in the face one time.
- 31:30Speaker 4: That was the one thing about the series I thought
- 31:31Speaker 4: was it was always just neck and neck. It wasn't
- 31:34Speaker 4: like they did something catastrophic where like we need to answer,
- 31:37Speaker 4: and I felt like that was what we needed in
- 31:39Speaker 4: a weird way. It was like, all right, they're going
- 31:40Speaker 4: to turn it on right here.
- 31:42Speaker 1: I remember saying when when they punched us in the
- 31:44Speaker 1: face right there, you know what.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I think a low key moment where we swung back
- 31:50Speaker 2: was when Robleski hit him And it wasn't because he
- 31:55Speaker 2: meant to, but it was it was like, we're right
- 32:01Speaker 2: here and Robo right on the man.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I was like, we're in this.
- 32:03Speaker 2: We say we're in this effing game. He said, we're
- 32:06Speaker 2: in this fing game before he walked off, and I
- 32:08Speaker 2: felt like that was our swing back, Like, I agree,
- 32:11Speaker 2: you do.
- 32:11Speaker 1: We didn't need to get punched in the face. Yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 1: I just wanted to kind of talk to you guys. Man.
- 32:16Speaker 15: Thanks for appreciate Thanks dude, thank you, thank you for
- 32:19Speaker 15: inviting us to your palace of house.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Yeah. I worked hard for myself boys.
- 32:30Speaker 2: All right, guys, thank you guys for watching. Make sure
- 32:33Speaker 2: you join me on on base with Mookie Bets next year.
- 32:37Speaker 4: See you soon.
