The Odyssey Esports is turning northeast Indiana into a gaming powerhouse, growing from weekly hangouts to hosting national tournaments like Afterburner—this year drawing over 400 players, including global Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stars. Co-owner Landon Frank, who started at age 17 and is now 20, dreams of scaling Afterburner to 700 players and expanding esports’ reach through high school and college programs offering full scholarships.
