A 38-year-old man, Eric Madison, is facing serious charges after a violent break-in in Bloomer last Friday night. Armed with a sledgehammer and allegedly drunk, he smashed a front window and allegedly threatened a neighbor he’s been harassing for over 20 years — despite past restraining orders that had expired. Though he admits to the break-in, he denies firing shots, claiming his goal was to harm the male victim after seeing him happy earlier that night.
