Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: My name is Victor Furman. Some call me the Voice.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I've always been fascinated with human nature, spirituality, science and
- 0:15Speaker 1: the crossroads at which they meet. Join me now and
- 0:18Speaker 1: we will explore these topics and so much more with
- 0:22Speaker 1: fascinating guests, authors and experts who will guide us to
- 0:28Speaker 1: Destination Unlimited. What had begun as an idea for a
- 0:37Speaker 1: new deck has emerged as a way of seeing Taro
- 0:41Speaker 1: through a different lens. This new system redefines the relationship
- 0:46Speaker 1: between the major and minor arcana of the Tarot deck,
- 0:50Speaker 1: casting them in quite a new light. Is there a
- 0:53Speaker 1: hidden code in Tarot that shows you how to create
- 0:56Speaker 1: a rich, loving, and abundant life experience. My guest this
- 1:01Speaker 1: week on Destination Unlimited, Janis King, has been working with
- 1:06Speaker 1: Tarot professionally for nearly two decades. She's the face of
- 1:10Speaker 1: Tarot Reading London and has demonstrated her remarkable skills on
- 1:15Speaker 1: Channel four UK TV, as well as appearances on spiritual
- 1:19Speaker 1: podcasts in both the UK and the United States. Her
- 1:24Speaker 1: website is Janis King dot UK and she joins me
- 1:28Speaker 1: this week to share her path and just published book,
- 1:32Speaker 1: Taro The Life Code. A Fool, a magician and the
- 1:36Speaker 1: Secret of Life. Please join me in welcoming to Destination Unlimited.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Janie King, Welcome.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Janis, Hello Victor. Lovely to meet you, and.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Lovely to meet you also, Janis, Please share your path
- 1:52Speaker 1: with us and how it led to your tarot practice.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well, my my path was quite problematic because in retrospect,
- 2:04Speaker 2: what I think was happening, it was a bit like
- 2:07Speaker 2: the you know, the hero that refuses the call. So
- 2:13Speaker 2: I was a really hard sell and I was I
- 2:16Speaker 2: was very determined from quite a young age that I
- 2:19Speaker 2: was not going to go into anything esoteric. I went
- 2:23Speaker 2: to I had an aunt who used to read catamancy,
- 2:28Speaker 2: which is playing cards, so we were very familiar in
- 2:31Speaker 2: our house with talking to dead people and all things esoteric.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It was not anything that was a strange thing for us.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I went to a spiritualist meeting with my mother when
- 2:45Speaker 2: my grandmother died and got pulled into a you know,
- 2:51Speaker 2: holding somebody's personal you know, I think it was a ring,
- 2:56Speaker 2: and then just saying stuff and apparently got pulled to
- 3:01Speaker 2: I got pulled to one side after that and told
- 3:03Speaker 2: I should go into development, which I refused, and so
- 3:08Speaker 2: I don't know, I kind of backed away from the
- 3:11Speaker 2: whole thing. I was a musician. I wanted to be
- 3:13Speaker 2: a musician. I didn't want to be anything else. So
- 3:17Speaker 2: that was that, and then I got really interested. Before
- 3:22Speaker 2: manifestation was even termed manifestation, back when we had cassette
- 3:27Speaker 2: tapes as the norm, I was given a cassette tape
- 3:31Speaker 2: of a meditation manifestation technique called the Pink Bubble. I
- 3:35Speaker 2: didn't know what it was. I had no experience of
- 3:40Speaker 2: this side of things at all. The person just gave
- 3:43Speaker 2: it to me said do what it says on the
- 3:45Speaker 2: tape and see what happens. And it blew my mind
- 3:50Speaker 2: a bit. So that really started me on a journey
- 3:54Speaker 2: of being really interested in energy and how much control
- 3:59Speaker 2: we have in our our lives, you know, with what
- 4:02Speaker 2: is unseen to us. So that started me on the journey.
- 4:07Speaker 2: How I came to Taro was in response to an
- 4:13Speaker 2: energetic request. So this was my grand experiment. I was
- 4:17Speaker 2: going to put all my calling towers powers to to
- 4:22Speaker 2: you know. I was going to test it. And I
- 4:26Speaker 2: started a business, a record company called Angelic and Angelic Music,
- 4:33Speaker 2: and it was the UK's first all girl label. And
- 4:39Speaker 2: I had a logo on my office wall It was
- 4:43Speaker 2: a huge thing, and every day I would go in
- 4:46Speaker 2: and I would say, give me what I need to
- 4:49Speaker 2: make everything all right, because behind the scenes we're really
- 4:52Speaker 2: struggling financially, as do all little record companies. My husband's
- 4:58Speaker 2: also a musician, so this was very much a labor
- 5:01Speaker 2: of love for us. And the whole thing went like
- 5:04Speaker 2: a forest fire. It was unbelievable, and I ended up
- 5:09Speaker 2: being asked to manage as a result of what happened.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I got asked to manage the daughter of a national
- 5:17Speaker 2: British celebrity and.
- 5:21Speaker 3: That all.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I was amazed, and I just felt like everything synchronicity
- 5:27Speaker 2: wise just fell into place. It was almost like, you know,
- 5:30Speaker 2: just bits dropping. It was fantastic. I was like, whoa,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I felt like the Sorcerer's apprentice until it fell. And
- 5:40Speaker 2: it fell. It went from eighteen months and it was amazing,
- 5:45Speaker 2: and I was literally in meetings with Universal Records and
- 5:51Speaker 2: Virgin we were going into a bidding war for the artist. Anyway,
- 5:58Speaker 2: everything fell within eight hours. The artist proved herself to
- 6:03Speaker 2: be mentally unstable, and other things also collapsed, just like
- 6:12Speaker 2: it was like somebody just went all the plug and
- 6:16Speaker 2: the whole thing just just completely crumbled. It was it
- 6:19Speaker 2: was like watching the towers come down. It was like
- 6:22Speaker 2: you couldn't I couldn't believe it. It was like, what
- 6:25Speaker 2: the hell was just destruction everywhere, and I was I
- 6:30Speaker 2: was just completely flawed. My marriage went, house went, everything went,
- 6:35Speaker 2: and I was let I think I probably had a breakdown.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It was a proper dark night of the soul. And
- 6:42Speaker 2: I was furious, victor furious. I felt like I'd been duped.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And I had been trying all of this time to
- 6:55Speaker 2: reach my spirit guides because I knew I should have
- 6:58Speaker 2: them h and they were very silent, and I wasn't
- 7:02Speaker 2: able to feel that I had any contact with these
- 7:05Speaker 2: guides at all. I was meditating all the time, but
- 7:09Speaker 2: unable to get any sense of connection with them. Until
- 7:14Speaker 2: one day I had a little boy show up who
- 7:20Speaker 2: came and sat beside me on a on a park bench,
- 7:24Speaker 2: and he had run out of some woods and he
- 7:26Speaker 2: ran up and sat beside me, and I could see
- 7:28Speaker 2: him as he was a real boy. I mean I
- 7:30Speaker 2: could describe him to you. If he ran to I
- 7:32Speaker 2: would recognize him. He was that clear. And he handed
- 7:35Speaker 2: me a white stone egg with a white bird sleeping
- 7:40Speaker 2: carved into it and I took this egg. It was
- 7:44Speaker 2: like being in a in a movie or a very
- 7:47Speaker 2: vivid dream. And and I looked at this and said, oh,
- 7:51Speaker 2: it's it's a white dove. And the little boy nodded
- 7:53Speaker 2: his head vigorously and then run away.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Oh.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I had asked him if he was a guide, and
- 7:58Speaker 2: he shook his head nerve he wasn't a guy. I
- 8:01Speaker 2: didn't speak, but he shook his head. So I was
- 8:04Speaker 2: amused by I had no idea what was going on,
- 8:07Speaker 2: or what this was for, or what this gift meant.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And then it went quiet again, as it seemed to
- 8:14Speaker 2: always do. And then about three weeks later, I was
- 8:19Speaker 2: up in Camden Market in London and there was a
- 8:22Speaker 2: shop that said Tarror Readings in the window, and I thought, well,
- 8:26Speaker 2: you know I need something, some answers, and so I thought, well,
- 8:32Speaker 2: maybe I'll go and investigate, perhaps a terror reading. And
- 8:37Speaker 2: as I walked in, the man behind the desk there
- 8:40Speaker 2: was another guy in the back dressed in white with
- 8:43Speaker 2: long white hair, reading taro. And the guy behind the
- 8:48Speaker 2: desk said, yes, yes, well you'll need to speak to
- 8:50Speaker 2: white Dove. And I'm like, oh what, And so of
- 8:58Speaker 2: course I had to speak to White Dove, and White
- 9:01Speaker 2: Dove did a reading for me that told me that
- 9:03Speaker 2: I had opened Pandora's box with my request give me
- 9:08Speaker 2: what I need, because I had shortened it to give
- 9:10Speaker 2: me what I need. And he said I was being
- 9:12Speaker 2: moved to a new path and the next three years
- 9:15Speaker 2: we're going to be pretty gruesome. But they were going
- 9:18Speaker 2: to be angels, both human and energetic, walking the path
- 9:24Speaker 2: with me. And I said, I refuse, absolutely, I don't
- 9:28Speaker 2: want a new path. When I said make it all right,
- 9:32Speaker 2: I meant make my life as it is all right.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't envisage you taking a wrecking ball
- 9:41Speaker 2: to my entire existence. Anyway. He said, well, that ship
- 9:45Speaker 2: has now sailed, and the path that you were on
- 9:48Speaker 2: is now close to you, and the path that you're
- 9:51Speaker 2: going to be on will you'll find it, but not yet.
- 9:56Speaker 2: And also you should know that your husband has unconditional
- 9:59Speaker 2: love for you, and that is not important at the moment,
- 10:02Speaker 2: but it will be. So I was fascinated by this
- 10:07Speaker 2: whole thing. So of course, Victor, what did I have
- 10:10Speaker 2: to do? I had to find out more about Taro,
- 10:14Speaker 2: and here we are, Here we are.
- 10:16Speaker 1: And I also understand that you studied spiritual trans mediumship
- 10:20Speaker 1: at the distinguished Arthur Finley College in Stanstead and also
- 10:24Speaker 1: Advanced Mediumship at the College of Psychic Studies in London.
- 10:28Speaker 1: What was that experience like.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yes, yes, well the really big transformative experience was at
- 10:37Speaker 2: Arthur Finley and that was where the Life Code book,
- 10:45Speaker 2: That's where that came from, and the accompanying deck and
- 10:49Speaker 2: that all came from that. So I didn't have an
- 10:52Speaker 2: experience of trans mediumship, which is where you allow an
- 10:57Speaker 2: energetic presences whatever it is, to speak through you, so
- 11:03Speaker 2: you will allow them access to your body and your
- 11:05Speaker 2: voice and you let them, you let them embody you,
- 11:09Speaker 2: and it's a very bizarre thing. I didn't have any
- 11:12Speaker 2: experience of this, so oddly at that time again, there
- 11:20Speaker 2: was another mini meltdown, so my husband had he suffer
- 11:27Speaker 2: has some mental health problems with bipolar and he had
- 11:30Speaker 2: a very bad episode and took himself off and there
- 11:34Speaker 2: was this whole weird thing where everybody just sort of
- 11:37Speaker 2: left and I ended up again completely isolated, which happened
- 11:42Speaker 2: the first time as well, And it was because of
- 11:45Speaker 2: that isolation that I ended up at Arthur Finley and
- 11:51Speaker 2: just I'll be honest with you as something to do.
- 11:55Speaker 2: In fact, a friend of mine who had been holiday
- 11:58Speaker 2: to Bali had met with a guy in Bali who
- 12:01Speaker 2: has said to her, have you ever been to Arthur Finley?
- 12:03Speaker 2: She said no, And she said to me, because she
- 12:08Speaker 2: was the only one that was sort of there, and
- 12:10Speaker 2: she said, why don't we book the first available course
- 12:13Speaker 2: at Arthur Finley and go straight after Christmas and just
- 12:16Speaker 2: do it. What's the first available course trans Mediumship? I said,
- 12:20Speaker 2: what exactly is trans Mediumship? Said, I don't know. Let's
- 12:23Speaker 2: book it anyway. So we did. And I was not
- 12:30Speaker 2: prepared to I didn't know if I could do it
- 12:34Speaker 2: or not. I was not prepared to fake it. I thought,
- 12:37Speaker 2: if I can't do it, I'm going to be really
- 12:39Speaker 2: honest about that. And the first three days of the
- 12:42Speaker 2: course I just felt I was getting nowhere. I just
- 12:46Speaker 2: I didn't feel like I was having the experience that
- 12:50Speaker 2: I was perhaps supposed to be having. And I thought, well,
- 12:52Speaker 2: I'm obviously the odd one out in the class. But
- 12:56Speaker 2: I was honest with the tutor about what was happening,
- 12:59Speaker 2: and I said, look, I'm really sorry it's not working
- 13:01Speaker 2: for me. I'm just not I'm not feeling it. So
- 13:05Speaker 2: she said, okay, so what we're going to do tomorrow
- 13:07Speaker 2: is we're going to take a step back. The whole
- 13:09Speaker 2: class is going to take a step back then, and
- 13:13Speaker 2: I'm going to ask Spirit if they would sort of
- 13:17Speaker 2: give you a bit of a demonstration as to how
- 13:20Speaker 2: it feels. So I said, okay, well that's great, and
- 13:23Speaker 2: let's hope this works. So there's about fifteen of us
- 13:26Speaker 2: in the class. And when my time came, you take
- 13:28Speaker 2: yourself down into into a light chance. And she said, okay,
- 13:33Speaker 2: so I have I have somebody, I have a spirit
- 13:36Speaker 2: with you standing behind you. And I felt like static
- 13:39Speaker 2: electricity just go. The entire back of my body was
- 13:44Speaker 2: just tingling with static electricity, and and so she sort
- 13:49Speaker 2: of stayed quiet, and then she said, okay, Spirit, step forward.
- 13:54Speaker 2: And I have never felt anything so bizarre in my
- 13:58Speaker 2: entire life, because whatever it was broke the boundary of
- 14:02Speaker 2: my physical body and entered myself from behind. It literally
- 14:10Speaker 2: stepped into me, and it's like you go, oh, okay,
- 14:19Speaker 2: And then I got flooded with the most incredible love
- 14:25Speaker 2: that I have could ever describe. It was so fundamental
- 14:32Speaker 2: and all embracing or all encompassing and my first thought was, well,
- 14:39Speaker 2: this is weird because I don't know who you were.
- 14:41Speaker 2: So it was that pure moment where you go, no,
- 14:46Speaker 2: that can't be real because you don't know me. How
- 14:49Speaker 2: could that be? How could this amount of And then
- 14:53Speaker 2: I told myself to shut up, Victor, and I did
- 14:58Speaker 2: shut up, and I just allowed because it was just phenomenal.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And then after a while, the tutor said, Okay, the
- 15:07Speaker 2: spirit stepped back, and I thought, actually, we're fine over here.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Whoever this isn't we could just leave us here and
- 15:14Speaker 2: get on with the rest of the class. I'll be fine.
- 15:17Speaker 2: But then I then I felt the reverse. I felt
- 15:21Speaker 2: whatever it was step out it. It's that sort of feeling.
- 15:27Speaker 2: You could almost feel the sucking thing as it stepped
- 15:30Speaker 2: out of out of my body. And the tutor said
- 15:34Speaker 2: to me when I opened my eye, she said, Janice,
- 15:37Speaker 2: now tell me you didn't feel that. Okay, I think
- 15:40Speaker 2: I did. That. It was transformational. And then what happened
- 15:46Speaker 2: after that was I suddenly everything sort of got a
- 15:54Speaker 2: bit taken over. So I got an instruction to write
- 15:59Speaker 2: a book. I thought I was in the bath. It
- 16:01Speaker 2: was a very loud voice. It shouted in my ear
- 16:05Speaker 2: and I got very fired up, and and and so
- 16:13Speaker 2: the Life Code deck appeared. All of the ways of
- 16:17Speaker 2: looking at the systems of Tarot shifted and rearranged. Sometimes
- 16:23Speaker 2: my brain felt like it was being fried. It was
- 16:26Speaker 2: that intense. And it went on for months, and more
- 16:29Speaker 2: and more layers appeared, and more and more layers appeared,
- 16:33Speaker 2: and again with the synchronicities, things happened which which allowed
- 16:37Speaker 2: the process to continue in the way that it had to.
- 16:42Speaker 2: And so it was. It was a really quite yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 2: it was. It was a transformational experience that had long
- 16:55Speaker 2: reaching implications.
- 16:57Speaker 1: And your new book is called Taro, The Life Code,
- 17:00Speaker 1: a Fool, a Magician, and the Secret of Life. How
- 17:03Speaker 1: does that book differ from other Tarot books.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Well, this is not a book that you pick up
- 17:10Speaker 2: to look up card meanings. It's not that kind of
- 17:13Speaker 2: a book. The card meanings are in there, but not
- 17:17Speaker 2: in list forms, so they're all in context. And the
- 17:20Speaker 2: book shows you. Taro almost does a recipe. In the book,
- 17:26Speaker 2: I talk about the making a cake of life and
- 17:30Speaker 2: Taro giving you the ingredients you need in the quantities
- 17:35Speaker 2: you need them to create the tenor pentacles, which is
- 17:40Speaker 2: this long term sustainable financially financially comfortable life. But it's
- 17:47Speaker 2: to your design, so it shows you Taro is a
- 17:52Speaker 2: map of how to do life, and all of the
- 17:55Speaker 2: cards are put in the context of them to each other,
- 18:01Speaker 2: of the stories that run through Taro, which is how
- 18:04Speaker 2: we connect to Taro. So it very much is is
- 18:08Speaker 2: there is a little bit of a self help element
- 18:10Speaker 2: in there, because that's what Taro is. Taro, I believe,
- 18:16Speaker 2: is a message from the universal spirit world to us.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It is a message that they have attempted to deliver
- 18:25Speaker 2: many times, and Taro has become the delivery system for
- 18:30Speaker 2: that message. And it is a very beautiful and wonderful message.
- 18:35Speaker 2: But it is the It's like a Bible, if you will,
- 18:39Speaker 2: except it's a bible that is entirely interactive and with
- 18:42Speaker 2: whom you're can have a conversation. So it just took
- 18:47Speaker 2: what we know already about Taro and elevated it to
- 18:51Speaker 2: one stage up.
- 18:53Speaker 1: And as you touched about you say that Taro itself
- 18:56Speaker 1: is a coded message from Spirit to us, an instruction
- 18:59Speaker 1: man will and how to live and enjoy a successful life.
- 19:03Speaker 1: What may we find within this coded message?
- 19:08Speaker 2: You'll find all of your life stories. So the first
- 19:11Speaker 2: thing we do when we look at this is we
- 19:14Speaker 2: we apply the stories to ourselves. And when we do that,
- 19:19Speaker 2: we don't have to learn cards individually. That's not how
- 19:22Speaker 2: that's not the best way to approach Terara. What we
- 19:26Speaker 2: do is we look at the cards in context streams.
- 19:31Speaker 2: So the ace to the ten will tell you a story.
- 19:34Speaker 2: It will tell you the story of your of your
- 19:36Speaker 2: of your love and connection life, your emotional life, the
- 19:41Speaker 2: way you connect to other people who you have connected
- 19:45Speaker 2: to in your life, how that works. It will give
- 19:47Speaker 2: you the story of how you use your will, how
- 19:50Speaker 2: confident you are. It will give you the story of
- 19:53Speaker 2: your mind and how you navigate, how you solve problems,
- 19:57Speaker 2: how objective you are. And then it tell you that
- 20:00Speaker 2: when you use all of these things in the right way,
- 20:04Speaker 2: you create an abundant experience for yourself, which is the
- 20:08Speaker 2: suit of pentacles. And so it gives you this, It
- 20:14Speaker 2: gives you this system where you examine and see yourself
- 20:19Speaker 2: as a mirror first and then you go, Okay, I
- 20:24Speaker 2: see what I see. What do I want to change? Now?
- 20:27Speaker 2: What do I want to do? Now? How do I
- 20:30Speaker 2: want to maybe navigate differently? Now I've seen this bit,
- 20:34Speaker 2: I can see what I did. I can see what happened. Okay,
- 20:39Speaker 2: I think I need to do things a bit differently,
- 20:42Speaker 2: and then it will give you the instruction manual as
- 20:45Speaker 2: how to do that.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And you call that a map of how to do life?
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I do.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And it's literally like that. It is a map that
- 20:56Speaker 1: you can open and see how to do your life.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Yes. And in the book we have we have spreads
- 21:04Speaker 2: in the book and are spread in tarots where you
- 21:06Speaker 2: lay the cards out in a certain order. Now, in
- 21:08Speaker 2: this version of the tarot spread, you only ever choose
- 21:11Speaker 2: one card, and the one card is I am here.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Because if you're going to use a map, victor, you
- 21:16Speaker 2: have to know where you are, don't you. If you
- 21:19Speaker 2: need to find where you're going, you need to find
- 21:21Speaker 2: where you're coming from. So your I am here card
- 21:25Speaker 2: then allows the tarot system itself to unfold around that card. So,
- 21:33Speaker 2: and the book shows you how to do this and
- 21:37Speaker 2: that unfolding. The cards that are around that are the
- 21:42Speaker 2: tarot system itself. So if you choose a six, the
- 21:45Speaker 2: two cards that go behind are the five and the four.
- 21:49Speaker 2: The two cards that go in front are the seven
- 21:52Speaker 2: and the eight. That tells you where you've come from
- 21:54Speaker 2: it tells you your next two challenges, the next two
- 21:58Speaker 2: things you have to you know, get to grips with
- 22:01Speaker 2: or you're going to have to confront. And then we
- 22:06Speaker 2: have a royal card which tells you the energy in
- 22:09Speaker 2: which to do this.
- 22:12Speaker 1: And then we have them and we're going to touch
- 22:14Speaker 1: more upon these in the next segment that we have.
- 22:17Speaker 1: My guest is Janis King. Her book is called Tarot
- 22:20Speaker 1: the Life Code, A Fool, a Magician and the Secret

- 24:02Speaker 1: O back on Destination Unlimited. My guest this week is
- 24:07Speaker 1: Janie King. We're talking about her new book Tarot, The
- 24:11Speaker 1: Life Code, A Fool, a Magician and the Secret of Life. Janie,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I am not a Tarot person. I'm not very familiar
- 24:20Speaker 1: with many of the terms. So we're gonna do a
- 24:22Speaker 1: little bit of ABC's of Terror right now. In Tarot,
- 24:25Speaker 1: we hear about minor and major arcana. What are they
- 24:29Speaker 1: and how do they differ.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Okay, So the major Ocana they would be the big
- 24:37Speaker 2: spiritual coaches, So they are the they are the sort
- 24:41Speaker 2: of the instruction manual part of it. So when we
- 24:46Speaker 2: talk about, you know the map of the instruction manual,
- 24:50Speaker 2: that's the Major O'Connor, and you would recognize those because
- 24:53Speaker 2: they're the big rock star cards. You have the full,
- 24:57Speaker 2: you have the lovers, you have death, you have the
- 24:59Speaker 2: hanged Man, the ones that you'll find in you know,
- 25:03Speaker 2: the James Bond movie or horror films habitually, so they're
- 25:08Speaker 2: they're they're the famous cars. And then we have the
- 25:10Speaker 2: minor Racana. There's twenty two by the way, Major o'cana cars.
- 25:16Speaker 2: And then we have the minor racana and they are
- 25:20Speaker 2: us doing life. So they represent the US boots on
- 25:24Speaker 2: the ground doing doing the hard yards. And inherent within
- 25:30Speaker 2: those they is the four parts of us. So our emotions,
- 25:35Speaker 2: our will, our mind, and our life experience and how
- 25:40Speaker 2: rich that feels. And and so those two segments in
- 25:46Speaker 2: my system are inextricably linked. In the traditional tarot deck,
- 25:51Speaker 2: they appear more separate. However, in my system, I'm I
- 25:58Speaker 2: show how the major kana is instructing directly on the
- 26:03Speaker 2: four suits, because the four suits are it's the earth elements, water, fire, air,
- 26:09Speaker 2: and earth. And so each of the major racana realms,
- 26:14Speaker 2: other than the Fall and the Magician, each of the
- 26:17Speaker 2: realms instructs directly on the four suits in the minor racana.
- 26:25Speaker 1: So let's look at some of the representative cards, starting
- 26:28Speaker 1: with the Fool and the Magician. What are the properties
- 26:32Speaker 1: of these cards and how are they similar?
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yes, well, they add two sides of the same coin victor.
- 26:39Speaker 2: So the Fall and the Magician represent us, and when
- 26:45Speaker 2: we see them like that, they start to make a
- 26:48Speaker 2: fantastic sense. So part of the premise of the way
- 26:51Speaker 2: I work is everything is energy. It's unbelievably important because
- 26:56Speaker 2: it's fundamentally true both in life but also in real life.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Everything is in fact energy. So the Fall represents potential energy,
- 27:08Speaker 2: and potential energy is energy which is unaffected by its environment.
- 27:14Speaker 2: It exists just literally in potential form. Nothing is happening,
- 27:18Speaker 2: there are no guarantees, it is just the potential. And
- 27:22Speaker 2: then in Tarot, in the Tarot story, once the full jumps,
- 27:27Speaker 2: once he leaps, he then lands and becomes the magician,
- 27:33Speaker 2: and the magician is kinetic energy that's energy in motion,
- 27:38Speaker 2: energy that is affected now by its environment. And the
- 27:41Speaker 2: magician's job is to bring the potential to life and
- 27:46Speaker 2: to what to decide which potential is to bring to life,
- 27:50Speaker 2: and to master those potentials to make what he wants
- 27:53Speaker 2: to happen happen. So are they are two sides of
- 27:57Speaker 2: the same coin, and they are us being creative in
- 28:03Speaker 2: our real, everyday life. Because one of the things I'm
- 28:07Speaker 2: incredibly passionate about is making Taro makes sense the in
- 28:12Speaker 2: real life and not just existing in a theoretical tarot
- 28:16Speaker 2: world where it's sort of just a is a whole
- 28:19Speaker 2: heap of fairy stories.
- 28:21Speaker 1: So it's interesting that in your example the fool really
- 28:25Speaker 1: isn't the fool, but someone who is on the verge
- 28:28Speaker 1: of a discovery.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Yes, yes, absolutely, And the fall is normally shown in
- 28:35Speaker 2: traditional decks. Are standing on the edge of a cliff,
- 28:38Speaker 2: and he has a little white dog barking at him,
- 28:40Speaker 2: warning him, and he has again traditionally a little knotted
- 28:45Speaker 2: handkerchief on a stick over his shoulder, and the story
- 28:49Speaker 2: goes within that knotted handkerchief, he carries the four gifts
- 28:53Speaker 2: of God, which are the four suits, which are the
- 28:55Speaker 2: four potentials and he doesn't. But he doesn't they're there.
- 29:00Speaker 2: This doesn't really work for me as a real life
- 29:03Speaker 2: story because why would he carry a not his hankerchief
- 29:07Speaker 2: full of things he doesn't know what they are. I
- 29:09Speaker 2: really this is my pennickete brain, Victor. I like, if
- 29:14Speaker 2: you're going to tell me a story, I want I
- 29:16Speaker 2: want it to hold some water. So in my deck,
- 29:19Speaker 2: I've made the Fall with the energy inherent within him
- 29:24Speaker 2: as yet unexplored. So when a baby is born, it
- 29:28Speaker 2: has all of its potentials already within its DNA, already.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Nature versus nurture is a different matter. Nurture is the
- 29:38Speaker 2: kinetic part that then that then you maybe somebody has
- 29:43Speaker 2: a wonderful singing voice but decides to go and be
- 29:45Speaker 2: a lawyer. So they you decide what your gifts, what
- 29:50Speaker 2: your potentials are, and which ones you want to bring
- 29:54Speaker 2: to life. So the Fall is the blank canvas, if
- 29:59Speaker 2: you like, of of energy. He's the fall because he
- 30:02Speaker 2: is both everything and nothing at the same time. He's
- 30:06Speaker 2: innocent of knowledge, but he contains everything. But he contains
- 30:12Speaker 2: everything within him.
- 30:14Speaker 1: And when he brings forth that knowledge, he becomes the magician.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Yes, yes, that's right, yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Please tell us about the relationship between cups and pentacles
- 30:28Speaker 1: and wands and swords.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yes, well, the four Earth energies are the components of us,
- 30:39Speaker 2: and so they represent all of the Earth's major's oldest
- 30:44Speaker 2: spiritual religions are based upon Earth energies and they are inherent.
- 30:49Speaker 2: They run through humanity's history like a river. So we
- 30:55Speaker 2: are also made up of water, of air, of fire,
- 31:00Speaker 2: and the earth. So we are constructed of that both
- 31:03Speaker 2: figuratively and physically. So in Taro, water represents our emotion
- 31:11Speaker 2: and our feelings and the way we connect. Now, water
- 31:16Speaker 2: is our we see that as being our fuel, so
- 31:20Speaker 2: it's sort of liquid, right, And what we think about water,
- 31:24Speaker 2: water is a conductor of electricity. So when we look
- 31:29Speaker 2: at the suit of cups and our feelings and emotions
- 31:33Speaker 2: and our connection, our ability to connect both to each
- 31:36Speaker 2: other and to spirit, the water part connects us. Our
- 31:41Speaker 2: feelings connect us, They connect us to the energetic world.
- 31:45Speaker 2: They connect us to each other. So like water and
- 31:48Speaker 2: electricity within us, that's the symbolic connective conductor if you like.
- 31:56Speaker 2: And then we get to one's ones is fire. So
- 32:00Speaker 2: once puts a spark to the fuel because you can
- 32:04Speaker 2: have a can of fuel in your garage to just
- 32:06Speaker 2: sit there, right. You can have a feeling and nothing
- 32:09Speaker 2: will happen. But you put urge and desire and confidence
- 32:13Speaker 2: to that, and you've got an engine on your hands.
- 32:16Speaker 2: You can go places, you can do things, you can
- 32:18Speaker 2: make things happen. It's our sexuality because it's primal urge.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Now that's great. And our will is a big, uncontrollable monster.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Really we need it, but it's hard to control. Just
- 32:34Speaker 2: like fire, we get burnt out, we run out of steam,
- 32:38Speaker 2: we get all fired up, right, so when we get
- 32:42Speaker 2: an inspiration ideal, it's like a struck match. So it's
- 32:48Speaker 2: a wonderful analogy for the way we use our will.
- 32:52Speaker 2: It's how we are creative in life. But it's very
- 32:56Speaker 2: hard to control. Is it ego or is it confidence?
- 33:00Speaker 2: So we need a control system because ego and will
- 33:04Speaker 2: out of control does nobody any good. So we need
- 33:08Speaker 2: to control it. And for that we need a navigation system,
- 33:11Speaker 2: and we need as in a car, we need gears
- 33:13Speaker 2: and brakes and the steering wheel and warning signs. So
- 33:17Speaker 2: for that we have the suit of swords, and the
- 33:20Speaker 2: suit of swords tells us when we're not using our
- 33:24Speaker 2: mind to the best effect. And it warns us when
- 33:29Speaker 2: we're going into drama, and it warns us when our
- 33:32Speaker 2: thinking is not constructive enough, and it warns us when
- 33:35Speaker 2: we're about to think in a way which is going
- 33:36Speaker 2: to cause us big problems down the line. So we
- 33:41Speaker 2: put all of those elements together and then we create
- 33:47Speaker 2: the experience detailed in the Suit of Pentacles. Pentacles is
- 33:52Speaker 2: of the Earth, so it's real life on the Earth.
- 33:57Speaker 2: It's much more slow moving. Again, it's earth, so it's
- 34:01Speaker 2: not fast like fire or air. So we are on
- 34:05Speaker 2: the ground, boots on the ground, doing it for real,
- 34:09Speaker 2: trying to create a life that makes us happy and
- 34:12Speaker 2: secure and is sustainable, and that has to be to
- 34:16Speaker 2: our own design. And suit Appentacles is the result of
- 34:19Speaker 2: our use of the other three suits, and they create
- 34:24Speaker 2: what is our experience on Earth. And that is how
- 34:29Speaker 2: I normally explain the four suits of.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Tarot and swords in my mind and my estimation. When
- 34:36Speaker 1: I think of swords, I think of initiations and also protection.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Yes, swords do protect us, but of course they're double edged.
- 34:45Speaker 2: They can be used for good or for ill. So
- 34:49Speaker 2: for swords, what we do is we cut through the weeds.
- 34:54Speaker 2: We use them to defend ourselves, of course, but we
- 34:56Speaker 2: misuse them wisely, because if we use them in anger,
- 35:00Speaker 2: or we use them in an ill advised way, we
- 35:03Speaker 2: can do more damage than good.
- 35:06Speaker 4: We have to.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Band, we have to understand how to use them, and
- 35:12Speaker 2: we have to gain experience in that. And in Tarot,
- 35:16Speaker 2: swords is very much a warning system because most of
- 35:21Speaker 2: the time we use our mind, we communicate, we go
- 35:25Speaker 2: about our life, and our mind operates on an automatic pilot.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Swords in Tarot is about telling us that we're going
- 35:32Speaker 2: off track with our thinking. Perhaps we are overthinking. When
- 35:36Speaker 2: we have too many thoughts and we allow our minds
- 35:40Speaker 2: to try and make all our decisions for us, we
- 35:43Speaker 2: end up really not in a good place. So Taro
- 35:46Speaker 2: tells us that we need a balance between our intuitive
- 35:51Speaker 2: self and our feeling self and our logical self. And
- 35:56Speaker 2: we have to be able to use our minds logically
- 35:58Speaker 2: and objectively, but we can't use them in isolation. So
- 36:03Speaker 2: it has to be the right balance.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Absolutely. What are the court cards and how do they
- 36:10Speaker 1: reflect our ability to be creators within our own lives?
- 36:16Speaker 2: So the court cards referred there are There are four
- 36:19Speaker 2: court cards to each suit. We have a page, a knight,
- 36:22Speaker 2: a queen, and a king, and they talk about how
- 36:26Speaker 2: we approach the energy that's going on around us all
- 36:31Speaker 2: or what we're doing at the time. So pages talk
- 36:35Speaker 2: about our students. Pages are learning, aren't they They're the
- 36:40Speaker 2: young energy, young and experienced energy. So they are going
- 36:44Speaker 2: to be exploring and learning about possibilities again, about potential.
- 36:50Speaker 2: They're going to be learning about potential and figuring out
- 36:53Speaker 2: whether this is something that indeed we should be doing.
- 36:56Speaker 2: So in each suit they have a different job, but
- 37:00Speaker 2: it is really about us really being investigative about our possibilities.
- 37:06Speaker 2: So that's the page. Pages want to be nights. They
- 37:09Speaker 2: are aspirational nights, so they are learning and training and
- 37:12Speaker 2: researching in order for them to take action. So before
- 37:17Speaker 2: you take action, you need to learn, you need to
- 37:20Speaker 2: perhaps do a little bit of research. You need to
- 37:22Speaker 2: be curious, curious and future focused. So then when we
- 37:27Speaker 2: become a night, when we embrace night energy, we are
- 37:29Speaker 2: now on a mission. We've done our necessary research and
- 37:33Speaker 2: now we're going to do something. And again, depending on
- 37:36Speaker 2: which suit we're in, the action we take will be
- 37:39Speaker 2: in alignment with our goal within the suit and then
- 37:45Speaker 2: as we take something and we do it. Once we've
- 37:48Speaker 2: done it, we change victor we assimilate some information by
- 37:56Speaker 2: the act of doing so, we learn. And so when
- 37:59Speaker 2: we get to be a queen, because the knight serves
- 38:02Speaker 2: the queen, when the knight has done his stuff, he
- 38:06Speaker 2: gives it to the queen, the queen assimilates it and
- 38:09Speaker 2: becomes it. And as the queen embodies the energy, she
- 38:15Speaker 2: enables the process. Because we cannot manifest what we don't
- 38:20Speaker 2: have within us. We have to have fertile ground within us.
- 38:25Speaker 2: But for what we want to manifest, or it isn't
- 38:28Speaker 2: possible for it to really grow and develop. The potential,
- 38:32Speaker 2: which is the seed needs filtail ground in which to grow,
- 38:35Speaker 2: and the queen is the ground in which that seed
- 38:39Speaker 2: grows because she is obviously the female archetype, so she
- 38:45Speaker 2: enables the process and the seed then takes root, the
- 38:50Speaker 2: seed grows, and then we move into king energy, which
- 38:54Speaker 2: is mastery of the energy. And now we can have
- 38:58Speaker 2: influence over our environment, influence over our resources, and we
- 39:03Speaker 2: can take control of our world in whichever suit we're in.
- 39:10Speaker 1: And you had talked about the magician before. What is
- 39:14Speaker 1: the magician trying to manifest.
- 39:18Speaker 2: The magician is trying to manifest, or the magician's goal
- 39:22Speaker 2: is to become a king in each energy. All of
- 39:27Speaker 2: this whole process is to create a happy, abundant, sustainable life.
- 39:33Speaker 2: The life, if you're choosing it, doesn't have to be
- 39:35Speaker 2: in somebody else's life. So rich life. For a poet
- 39:41Speaker 2: who wants to go and live on a hillside in Greece,
- 39:44Speaker 2: he might feel that here's the richest man in the world,
- 39:48Speaker 2: and yet a billionaire who is living in a fifteen
- 39:52Speaker 2: billion pound mansion may still feel he doesn't have enough.
- 39:57Speaker 2: So we want to be living a life where we
- 40:00Speaker 2: feel on our terms, that we are living a life
- 40:03Speaker 2: that is meaningful to us and makes us feel that
- 40:07Speaker 2: we're living on our own terms, and creating what we
- 40:11Speaker 2: want to create has to be authentic and right for us.
- 40:14Speaker 2: And we build this on what's known in terror as
- 40:18Speaker 2: the ten of Cups, the cups being our feeling in
- 40:24Speaker 2: emotional it's all in the name of us building a happy, connected,
- 40:29Speaker 2: emotional life, and the ten is the maximum expression of that.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Where we are happy and connected, we are surrounded by
- 40:37Speaker 2: people that we love and that love us, and we
- 40:40Speaker 2: build on that basis. We build on the basis of love,
- 40:44Speaker 2: and we create this abundance sustainable life, which is the
- 40:49Speaker 2: Ten of Pentacles, on the basis of the love that
- 40:54Speaker 2: we have that we have at the base of everything.
- 40:58Speaker 2: If you try to build the ten of Pentacle's life
- 41:02Speaker 2: just on its own, without the ten of the Cups,
- 41:05Speaker 2: which is the happy, connected, sustainable base, you'll have a
- 41:09Speaker 2: dry and rather meaningless experience. So the job of the
- 41:14Speaker 2: magician is to is to create that and everything. Because
- 41:19Speaker 2: I am of the opinion everybody is filled with desire
- 41:24Speaker 2: to be happy. Everything we do is based on the
- 41:28Speaker 2: desire for happiness, or at least not to be less happy,
- 41:32Speaker 2: even if we don't believe we have it within us
- 41:36Speaker 2: to be truly happy, which is a shame. I would
- 41:39Speaker 2: like to have a conversation with that person. But ideally
- 41:44Speaker 2: they don't want to be less happy. So everything they do,
- 41:48Speaker 2: everything they think, even a lawyer who is very, very
- 41:51Speaker 2: cerebral and very maybe you know, not focused on any
- 41:56Speaker 2: emotional input, will be doing that because they feel within themselves,
- 42:02Speaker 2: they know they feel that's the right thing to do,
- 42:06Speaker 2: and to do in a different way would make them
- 42:08Speaker 2: very unhappy. So we are fueled by this desire for
- 42:13Speaker 2: happiness on whatever terms and in whatever context that might
- 42:17Speaker 2: be referring to. We don't want to make it simplistic,
- 42:20Speaker 2: but the desire for happiness is what fuels us all
- 42:24Speaker 2: and that's what the magician is trying to bring to
- 42:28Speaker 2: life through through the medium of this story.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Wonderful. My guest is Janis King her book Taro The

- 43:38Speaker 1: eleven a m. Eastern on Old Times Radio back on
- 43:43Speaker 1: Destination Unlimited. My guest this week is Janis King her
- 43:48Speaker 1: new book Taro, The Life Code, A Fool, a Magician
- 43:52Speaker 1: and the Secret of Life. Janie, you share that pentacles
- 43:58Speaker 1: are like adding me maes, they add things up? How
- 44:02Speaker 1: do they do that?
- 44:05Speaker 2: While they are the some of us, Victor, Well, they're
- 44:09Speaker 2: more than that. I mean, if we think about pentacles
- 44:12Speaker 2: and how we see pentacles, it's often seen as the
- 44:15Speaker 2: magical symbol, right, And I was I've always been quite
- 44:21Speaker 2: amused at the fact that we have because the four
- 44:25Speaker 2: suits connecting to the standard issue playing cards. Right, we
- 44:28Speaker 2: have hearts, don't we, which of course is in motion.
- 44:31Speaker 2: We have clubs, which is in Taro ones is often
- 44:36Speaker 2: shown as a large bit of a large stick like
- 44:40Speaker 2: a club literally, and then we have swords, which are
- 44:45Speaker 2: what they say, and then we have pentacles. So I
- 44:50Speaker 2: was thinking when I first started reading, I thought, why
- 44:53Speaker 2: is a pentacle a diamond? Because it's the treasure of
- 44:57Speaker 2: the earth, isn't it. It is in fact current see, so
- 45:01Speaker 2: it's what we trade with and so we experience, which
- 45:06Speaker 2: is what I think Pentacles is is the sum of
- 45:10Speaker 2: everything we do and all of us. So everything that
- 45:15Speaker 2: we are, everything we think, everything we feel, everything we
- 45:20Speaker 2: every act we take creates an experience, and so Pentacles
- 45:24Speaker 2: is detailing all of that and telling us what experience
- 45:29Speaker 2: it is we're creating at the moment with our use
- 45:32Speaker 2: of the other three suits. So and what it also does,
- 45:39Speaker 2: because it's Pentacles, is of course it does something slightly magical.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Is it also connects us into It connects Earth and
- 45:51Speaker 2: a quintessence because quintessence, of course is the fifth suit,
- 45:55Speaker 2: and that would be the energetic world. So it connects
- 45:58Speaker 2: us back circular manner. It is a circle. It connects
- 46:03Speaker 2: us back to the energetic world. So if our emotions
- 46:06Speaker 2: are connecting into spirit via our intuition and creating ahead
- 46:12Speaker 2: of us on the path, the Pentacles connects the energetic
- 46:16Speaker 2: world directly into us and our life experience. And so
- 46:20Speaker 2: it just brings the whole thing around in a circle.
- 46:24Speaker 2: And that's what we see when we look at the
- 46:26Speaker 2: Pentacles sign. So it's it's the connective element. And I
- 46:32Speaker 2: think it's once we see it like that, it starts
- 46:36Speaker 2: to make more sense I hope, what is.
- 46:39Speaker 1: The goal of major arcana in developing our paths.
- 46:46Speaker 2: To help us understand ourselves better? Because the edict know
- 46:54Speaker 2: thyself is absolutely one hundred fundamental in all of this,
- 47:01Speaker 2: and the major akana show us and coach us through
- 47:08Speaker 2: all of life's all of life's elements if you like.
- 47:15Speaker 2: So the first five cards taking the Fallen the Magician
- 47:21Speaker 2: out okay, because they are the characters in play, from
- 47:25Speaker 2: the High Priestess to the Lovers. They tell us about
- 47:29Speaker 2: our early years experience. They talk about when we're first born,
- 47:34Speaker 2: the mother energy and the symbolic father energy, what that means.
- 47:40Speaker 2: It talks about the effect on our emotional world, on
- 47:44Speaker 2: the culture, religion, religious thinking, which doesn't have to necessarily
- 47:49Speaker 2: mean religion, and the culture in which we live, and
- 47:52Speaker 2: our need to fit in or not, and the decisions
- 47:56Speaker 2: and how that influences us. And then that leads us
- 48:00Speaker 2: to the lovers, which it tells us we must connect
- 48:05Speaker 2: with love and we must connect to what we think
- 48:08Speaker 2: will make us happy for the right reasons. So that
- 48:11Speaker 2: section is coaching us on the bedrock of our own
- 48:16Speaker 2: emotional experiences. It talks about the bit that we have
- 48:20Speaker 2: no control over and what leads us to make the
- 48:24Speaker 2: decisions we do in the Lovers, because that's not all
- 48:27Speaker 2: of our making initially. Then the next bit, from the
- 48:34Speaker 2: Chariot to Justice talks about how we use our will
- 48:40Speaker 2: and how we implement our will in the world, and
- 48:42Speaker 2: it talks about the elements that we need to understand
- 48:46Speaker 2: in order to use our will effectively. And then the
- 48:50Speaker 2: next section, which is the advanced section, which is the
- 48:53Speaker 2: challenging section, which is the Handman to the Tower, talks
- 48:58Speaker 2: about how we deal with channel and loss and how
- 49:02Speaker 2: we remake our world when it all falls apart in
- 49:08Speaker 2: fine fashion, and it talks about specifically how we use
- 49:12Speaker 2: our minds in that landscape. And then the final section,
- 49:21Speaker 2: which is from the Star to the World, talks about
- 49:25Speaker 2: the five experiences we must have if we're going to
- 49:31Speaker 2: create a successful life. And that took me by surprise
- 49:36Speaker 2: because it was a slightly different take than the other three,
- 49:41Speaker 2: but it does indeed type it detail these experiences which
- 49:46Speaker 2: are necessary for us to experience if we're going to
- 49:49Speaker 2: create a successful life, and that is the final five
- 49:53Speaker 2: cards of the major Racana. So it's very much a
- 49:56Speaker 2: guidance system for every part of us and our life lives,
- 50:00Speaker 2: and if you run your life through the major racana,
- 50:03Speaker 2: you can tell your own story in quite a lot
- 50:06Speaker 2: of detail, and that will that's often quite an eye
- 50:11Speaker 2: opener for people. Their story is just there in front
- 50:14Speaker 2: of them.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Assuming I know nothing about taroll, but I'm interested in
- 50:20Speaker 1: learning and studying the art and practice. How would you
- 50:23Speaker 1: suggest I begin.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Well, I suggest you begin by talking to me, Victor
- 50:31Speaker 2: invited to take you by the hand and show you
- 50:35Speaker 2: the wonders that that learning tarot can bring to your
- 50:41Speaker 2: life as philosophy as well as being a spiritual system.
- 50:49Speaker 2: I think what's really important is to get a deck.
- 50:53Speaker 2: I think what's more important, Victor, is what you shouldn't do.
- 50:58Speaker 2: And what you shouldn't do is to go on YouTube
- 51:01Speaker 2: and look at somebody drawing repeated cards and just mumbling
- 51:05Speaker 2: vague meanings and and you know, consider your source, is
- 51:11Speaker 2: what I would say, So I would, I would work
- 51:14Speaker 2: with somebody respected. I would take that very seriously. And
- 51:21Speaker 2: you know, start off with a book by all means,
- 51:24Speaker 2: but don't get stuck in it, because a book is
- 51:27Speaker 2: not ultimately the most effective way of learning. It could
- 51:32Speaker 2: culiarize yourself broadly, but it is better to work with
- 51:37Speaker 2: the teacher that.
- 51:38Speaker 1: You know and trust, and of course the book. If
- 51:40Speaker 1: the book is Tyrol the Life Code, that's an excellent
- 51:42Speaker 1: book to start with.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Well, it is now the only thing I would say
- 51:47Speaker 2: that if you're a complete beginner, I think it's good.
- 51:51Speaker 2: I think it's very good to read it. It may
- 51:56Speaker 2: be a little overwhelming as the book goes on because
- 52:00Speaker 2: it is talking about it's not talking about Taro from
- 52:03Speaker 2: a from a starting standpoint, I think you would perhaps
- 52:09Speaker 2: need a little bit of handholding through that to just
- 52:12Speaker 2: to just to stop yourself going because a lot, it's
- 52:16Speaker 2: a lot, but it is a very interesting read, if
- 52:20Speaker 2: you know, just for somebody even who doesn't know anything
- 52:22Speaker 2: about Taro. But obviously because I'm referencing cards and what
- 52:27Speaker 2: they mean, it's it's quite good to have a little
- 52:31Speaker 2: bit of prior knowledge just to just to you know,
- 52:35Speaker 2: just to sort of be able to navigate through. Certainly,
- 52:38Speaker 2: the first part of the book is totally accessible to everybody.
- 52:42Speaker 2: It just gets a little bit more advances it gets towards.
- 52:44Speaker 1: The end you share that you're passionate about bringing Taro
- 52:49Speaker 1: into a more mainstream conversation about spirituality, one that moves
- 52:54Speaker 1: beyond predictions, what would you like it to reflect.
- 53:00Speaker 2: I would like us to use it as a tool
- 53:03Speaker 2: for life, and Victor, we, of course we use it
- 53:09Speaker 2: for predictions in some capacity because Taro gives us the
- 53:13Speaker 2: ability to be able to look down the timeline, and
- 53:18Speaker 2: it does that extremely accurately. It can also look back
- 53:23Speaker 2: on the timeline, and it can look under the surface
- 53:25Speaker 2: at the present to see what's going on that you
- 53:28Speaker 2: also can't see. Now. It's just a bit of a superpower.
- 53:31Speaker 2: And when we use it wisely, and we use it
- 53:35Speaker 2: to empower ourselves properly, so rather than and look, we've
- 53:40Speaker 2: all done it right. Rather than asking, you know, will
- 53:44Speaker 2: my boyfriend come back, which is the classic Tarot question,
- 53:46Speaker 2: And you know, I'm not saying that in any disrespectful
- 53:50Speaker 2: way because that is a question that causes a lot
- 53:53Speaker 2: of pain. Let's for interesting questions. Let's ask what is
- 53:58Speaker 2: the guidance around this relationship, What is the potential for
- 54:02Speaker 2: happiness that this relationship might offer should this person come back,
- 54:07Speaker 2: and what should the person do for the best effect
- 54:13Speaker 2: for their life? What next step can they take that
- 54:18Speaker 2: is going to support them and lead them to the
- 54:21Speaker 2: happy future that they absolutely desperately want. So when we
- 54:26Speaker 2: question intelligently, we then get answers that start to make
- 54:32Speaker 2: a real difference. Was what we just asked, will my
- 54:34Speaker 2: boyfriend come back? That's giving us no information at all, none.
