- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to the show Brian.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you for having me.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking at you like Brian can't see me because I look ridiculous today.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Plus my computer doesn't have a camera, but I can look at Brian and he just looks wonderful.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm so happy to talk to you and I just have to tell you there are a few people that I like to refer to as my easiest Sunday morning guests and now you're one of them Greg only ours one.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: Jody Hamilton is one, but you're so easy.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: You're just an easy guess and I just you're like my comfort.
- 1:36[UNKNOWN]: Thank you.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: Ralph, before we get into all the scary crap, I wanna talk about, okay, so earlier this year, was it this year?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think it was this right before he became president again.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: We had this sexy liberal tour, this comedy tour, and I finally got to meet you in person, we finally got to meet.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: And that was really fun, but the thing is, okay, so I was freaking out, right?
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: I was completely freaked out from
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: like the day after voting day until it took me until about Thanksgiving.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: I had a knot in my stomach and I was terrified.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: There was all this crap going on in my personal life, but beside that I was just terrified for democracy and obviously for good reason.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't want to have you on because it scared me to have you on.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like, oh no, he not because of you, but just because I felt like you had this close proximity to the White House and
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: I was just afraid, you know, I was just terrified, like what if this puts me in a higher view of the regime and something happens to me, you know, all that stuff.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: So obviously, I don't have that fear right now because you're sitting here talking to me.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I just, you know, like I said before, we get into all of this.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, it was nice meeting you.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: But like, how has your life been?
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: What's different now?
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: That obviously there was the first term and now there this.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: And what's different?
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: What do you see that's different?
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: Donald Trump's functionally illiterate and totally insane this time around.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: Not that that changed much, but I think you want to say that Joe Biden's slid into sinility, I'm going to say that Donald Trump took the plunge.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's nowhere near.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's not as sharp as he was the first time around.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: uh... but he has surrounded himself with a bunch of yes men i mean in the first administration there were people in the administration who would keep him from getting stuff put on his desk so he wouldn't you know sign it this group a bunch of uh... morons and fascists and slaves to racism are very happy to put the uh... the paperwork in front of dawn to sign and they don't care whether it violates
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: you know, the Constitution or not, they want total control.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: So they put it on Donald's desk.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: He signs it.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: He comes out.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's the front man for it.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: But make no mistake.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's not running the show anymore.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's the extremists.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the ones that are even extreme of the extremists.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, Steven Miller and Susan Wiles.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: And more ons like that are actually the ones holding Donald's leash this time around.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: and it is frightening in its scope.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it really is.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so now let me see, have you been back to the White House?
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: How often and what's changed in the White House press room?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: I have not often and what has changed more than anything else is the fact that there are very few reporters left.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: If you go back to what Donald did at the beginning of his second administration was taking control of assigning the seats in the pool, Donald Trump has not made himself available.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's been in the
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: Brady briefing room three times maybe since he's been back he doesn't do his a chopper talk like he used to whenever he left he would stop by and do ten fifteen minutes with the the open press which and it was in those two places where I could get the best shot at Donald and Donald doesn't want that he doesn't want anybody like me around asking questions he's afraid of it
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: so he has stacked the press pool and that's why you see sick of fans and morons asking questions like how come you're so great you shoot rainbows out of your butt you know that that's that's the depth of their questioning of Donald Trump or you get the moron that's Marjorie Taylor Green's boyfriend making fun of uh Zelensky not wearing a suit and boy was that beautiful watching Zelensky put him in his place he showed back up you change your suit yes and I see you haven't changed yours beautiful
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like timing, couldn't ask for anything better.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: And the more on just smart, because he just is there for the attention.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're not there to do the job, you shouldn't be allowed in there.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: But the fact is that those of the greatest depth in those with the most experience are not allowed in that room.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: He tried to ban the AP when he couldn't do that.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: He just took all of the
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: wire services off the pool list so that's those of the people that most experience in the greatest depth so people like Steve Holland and Jeff Mason from Royators the AP reporters aren't in the pool anymore and you have the new media seats filled by I can't even describe who I've never even heard of some of these
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: organizations.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I'm pretty well informed.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm obviously not well informed enough with the people who have thirty seven people watching them on their YouTube channel, but apparently that's, you know, who they're letting in the White House these days, as long as they're sick of fans and will cheer Donald Trump's every word.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: And it's destroying, he has, in effect, destroyed the free press and independent media by paying attention to protecting and promoting the most vociferous of election deniers and, you know, conspiracy theorists.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: There are people in that briefing room now that believe that, you know, their vapor trails are real man never landed on the moon
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: the Holocaust had happened and we all live on a flat earth.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it's tough to die.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I guess the one question I keep asking the conspiracy theorists, you believe that we live on a flat earth, absolutely.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: So what happens when those jets that are putting out the vapor trails, do they fly off the edge of the earth?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: How does that work?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean how can you you can't reason with that you just can't it's impossible you can't reason with stupidity and insanity no that's like Donald Trump's second administration is so difficult to cover because it doesn't meant there is no single fact other than his date of birth and I'll even question that one
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: That is not, no fact that's not, you know, indisputable.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: Everything you look up on Donald Trump is in dispute.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: And that plays to him.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's what he wants.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's able to flood the zone with garbage and being yes, because there are no established facts or things of the past.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: So what determines how you get to the White House, but you have to be invited to the press room?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, how it used to work is you were vetted by the Secret Service.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: I have a congressional press pass.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: You apply for the hard pass with White House until you are vetted by the Secret Service.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: You have a date.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: You can get a day pass as long as you're a, you know, from a rep.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, these days even disreputable, but usually from a reputable news source, you would call it had a day before you'd fill out the form.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: with your Social Security in Amber, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: You'd show up, they'd check you in, they'd give you a little card that says an escort, so they'd escort you to the White House briefing room.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then you'd have free reign on the campus wherever the free press could go, but not where it's centered out in the pool, limited your ability to, you know, wherever open press events were allowed.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: Usually the Brady briefing room, sometimes the south on the north line, the Rose Garden,
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: But you're not going to be in the diplomatic room.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not going to be in the oval office.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: Those are restricted to pool only.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: And he's restricted to the pool to only fans of his.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: So it's another level of vetting that they have put in place to make sure that he's not asked difficult questions.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's not surprising.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want to get into the whole Gavin Newsom and what Democrats need to do, but before getting into that, I just want to ask.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: Wait a minute.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: You were going to tell a story about, uh, sexually liberal counsel.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, I think the story was that I was afraid to have you on.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, but I mean, we can go back to that when we can talk about how much fun it was.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: And, um,
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: or you had a question go ahead, I didn't, I didn't mean it.
- 10:04[UNKNOWN]: That's okay.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: I was just gonna say something that I should and say, so I'm not gonna say, okay, it was just a story you told us that you didn't, you told Bob and me a story about somebody and I just can't, I can't, you wouldn't tell us who it was.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember that?
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: See, I'm just like, I'm the listeners are going, oh my God, Kimberly, shut the fuck up, what are you talking about?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, never mind.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so,
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just I'm just going all over the map here.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we're on the camera.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so here's the deal.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: I Don't know what you're gonna think of this and this is why I'm asking and maybe you don't even think this is important But I'm sure you heard the other day on Fox and friends Donald Trump was worried about getting in heaven He said that he heard he wasn't doing well and that he was low on the or yeah wasn't doing well and he was low on the totem pole and Meaning his chances of getting into heaven.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't doing well
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: And there is a line of thought that this is like the faith leaders or whatever telling them Donald, you have to do better.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, there's, okay, there's the conspiracy theory in my own brain that saying that sometimes when people are, you know, getting older and they know, you know, that dirt naps approaching.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that I think he feels any guilt or whatever.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm as near.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's like they start wondering, you know, because it's like we've all had those experiences in life that there's more than life that I can't talk, more to life than meets the eye.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, we write them off.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know what they are.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: But then as you're getting older and sick and maybe you're close to death, you start going, hmm, I did this and I did that, I wonder.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that this is just him?
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: being an idiot talking about getting into heaven.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think there's something to it?
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: What do you make of it?
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because I know there's a lot of people who just think he's an idiot talking.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I always think he's.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: He is one of the biggest idiots I've ever met and he loves to talk and it's an idiot talking.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: He loves the I think he's just playing people.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he has one care or even thought about after death of the fact that he just he didn't want to die yes
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, that's why Dr. Ronnie Jackson came out in the first administration and said, hey, he's going to live to be two hundred.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I was looking at the same.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, this was Don's mistake the first time.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: He put a lot of info out there.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: He put all charts and graphs and medications.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm looking at it.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not a doctor.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: But my dad had heart disease, and I'm looking at the charts they gave me.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: The guy standing next to me was a doctor, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and I looked at him and I say, hey doc, I go, I'm not a doctor, but I'm looking at this.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: This looks like he's got heart disease, and he goes, oh yeah, he has heart disease.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that was how long seven years ago?
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: Seven years ago.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: So he doesn't get better with time.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'm sure he's facing as we all do face is thoughts of mortality.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: And if he gives them more than a fleeting thought, I don't think he gives anything more than a fleeting thought.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think he's capable of anything more than a fleeting thought.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he is mentally declines.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: strategically, dramatically, is not the same person that he was, but this sounds like BS propagated by, you know, those in his inner circle, Pep Secretary Caroline Levitt, who is trying to put the Christian so-called Christian, yes, I'll count it.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: But look,
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: I can't, like I said, there's no facts in disputable with Donald Trump.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: So I couldn't tell you what the truth is here.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure they can't.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because the facts of the matter show us that no matter what issue we're discussing about Donald Trump, there may be four or five competing reasons for the BS that he's shouting at us.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there is this universal desire
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Every single day you see somebody or more than like more than one person talking about they can't wait until.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to say it, but you know what I mean?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: That day when he inspires, yeah, when it's finally when he's gone and out of the picture.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: And so I, you know, I know that question.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: that every single morning I wake up.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: And whenever I look at the computer, the first thing I do is like, okay, is he still here?
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, because he's very unhealthy.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, he could live to be ninety, but we all have, like, a lot of us just want it to be over.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't mean if he's gone out of the picture, then we have JB Benson, we have all the oligarchs, and that's a whole other thing.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: The couch loving eyeliner lover.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're cleaning worse and Donald Trump would be JD.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: I love my sofa vans, but you can get them on sale down a big loan.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're JD vans.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's a soft case.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't I there as of today I believe there are one thousand two hundred
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: And forty eight days left to go in Donald Trump's administration and I count every one of them and I'm Herman that I will survive him.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I can and you know, that's I guarantee to any of us, but damn it.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm determined to I'll live this bastard Who knows who knows what what happens he could You know, I had a relative who died at a hundred and one years of age.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody kept predicting their demise They were wrong and he outlived a lot of people that you know thought he wouldn't so Yeah, we don't know, but we're all like really hopeful.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hopeful for anybody's demise.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hopeful for democracy.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: A democracy.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hopeful for that.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: OK, so this leads me to the next question.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to have to preface this with a couple of different things.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: So there's the bigger picture.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: How do we get democracy back?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: And we've got big institutions, including so much of the legacy media, just capitulating to Donald Trump, which is very upsetting.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: John Ossaf said Democrats need to strike back.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: We have no time or luxury for high-minded hesitation because Trump and MAGA are going to do everything within their power to hold on and lock one party rule in America.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's the reality we face.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: Allison Gill posted.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is just something different.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: This is about the Texas gerrymandering.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: She said the numbers are in
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: the new maps Republicans just passed in Texas reduce Hispanic Texans to one third of a white person and black Texans to one fifth of a white person.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: So all of that said, I mean, not that I have to remind anybody how, you know, the danger that we're in, but now all of a sudden Gavin Newsom, who's not everybody's favorite, but I don't care right now, but he's, you know, he has captured the attention, not just of
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the Democratic Party and everybody on social media, but the Republicans are really starting to pay attention to a film.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: They really don't like what they're seeing because he's mocking Trump's style of communication.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: And basically, the right is slipping its shit.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I wanted to ask you, like, what do you think of Newsom, what of his behavior and the way he's fighting?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think this is at least, because I don't expect every Democrat to fight like this?
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, what's your take on Newsom's choices right now?
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's made a choice to confront Donald Trump to his face.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now, who am I to object to that?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because I have done the same myself.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: So choosing to do that, I...
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: I can only support.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: How he implements his strategy is up to him.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: I might do it differently.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I would offer criticism's of strategy, but the Democrats are right about one thing.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: They better get, find a backbone and a spine in him.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody who can stand up to Donny and the minions that love him and use him.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: They don't actually love him.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: They jettison him in a heartbeat.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: as long as they could hold on to power.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: And let's be honest, the Republicans in Congress and some of the Democrats to boot are only there because they are about themselves.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's the bottom line problem with a lot of politics.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta get the money.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: money out of politics, you've got to invest in education and make sure that the electorate are better educated than they are now and you have to support a free press.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: Those things have to occur in the long run.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: Lower, you know, take the money out of politics, invest money in education, invest money in an independent media and then you'll bring back at democracy.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: But we have since the time of Ronald Reagan
- 19:12[SPEAKER_01]: done the exact opposite.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: These were planted with Richard Nixon, and that stain has not left the executive branch.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: It has spread.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: It is a cancer.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: It was fed by Ronald Reagan, but every other president, including the Democrats, had dismantled a free press and cut into education.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: George W. Bush's idea of no child left behind
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: meant every child has been left behind.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: The consolidation of media, the influence of money in the democratic process and the dismantling of education has destroyed democracy.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: So whatever means that at this point in time, if you don't recognize that you are in a cultural war, you are going to be consumed by the cultural war.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: Now, do I favor this battle of gerrymandering?
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Of course not, because it only leads to a quid pro quo who can top two and at the end of the day, I do not want our representatives picking their voters.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: I want the voters picking the representatives.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: But we are in a battle now to decide who can pick their voters.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Donald Trump is spearheading this effort.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: He should be boiled in his own oil, make the sniff his own hair spray, tied up with his own fake hair, and made the sit and watch reruns of the apprentice for all eternity.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: But nonetheless, this is where we are.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: So either you engage in the battle or you don't.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: And if you don't, you're going to get consumed.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: So to that point, Gavin Newsom is doing something that needs to be done.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Governor hairdo is, you know,
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: They love it, because he looks good.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I keep saying, if, you know, they say, well, Pete, better judge, but a judge would be the best president, but he can't get elected because he's gay.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I go, no, that's all.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: If Pete, but a judge is too short, people don't like short people.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: If Pete, but a judge would like to have a news him, he could run for a third term.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: So it's, you know, it's all appearance versus reality in American politics and appearance is winning.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's true.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, Gavin is not my first choice, but I do appreciate his behavior right now.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: Everything that he's doing, his strategy.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: Who a man?
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: Stick it to the man.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: Stick it to the man.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I, you know, I want to bring something up because last week I talked to Greg Oliar, who was my original easy-like Sunday morning guest, but he's the Sunday morning.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just love Greg and yeah.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's researching Nazis, right?
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: The rise of Hitler and all of that.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: And he said two things that we have to our advantage right now, compared to what happened in nineteen thirties, Germany, is that number one, we do have some resistance within our government.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then we also have resistance in our population because there are
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: Every day, we're having people protesting and showing up and whether it's boycotts or one form of resistance or another, indivisible is a great way for all of you guys out there who are freaking out, indivisible.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just about knocking on doors and getting people elected.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's ways to resist fascism.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: So there's like an active thing happening out there.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: And that's positive.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: So what this leads me to is after everything you just said about what Newsom is doing.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, I know you're not in Oracle.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, how hopeful.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to tell that to reality.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: When I asked questions, they're like, Kimberly, I'm not an oracle.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, you said, you know, your, your hope is to get to Mark, we all want democracy back and we want Donald Trump out and fascism gone from what you see right now in this moment in time.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: How hopeful are you that we can do this?
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be much more hopeful if rock and roll was more popular.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I say that as a joke, but I'm on a half serious about that.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: The attitudes that were prevalent in the sixties.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: I remember, you know, I'm old enough.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: not really.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm old enough to remember, in the Democratic National Convention, the Ted offensive, Robert F. Kennedy being assassinated, Martin Luther King being assassinated, body bags coming home from Vietnam every day.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was one of the most chaotic times of my life.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: then you had later you had four dead in Ohio and you remember that because of the song right remember a Vietnam because of a fortune it's son you remember the songs that stuck with you
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: in green these things into your mind and they were catchy and we had a counter culture that was vibrant.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was spearheaded by, you know, the Beatles came over in sixty four after Kennedy died and people were going, God bless a relief from what we're going through.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then they and the rest of the sixties branched out into freedom of expression and supporting a counter culture movement that helped us overthrow Richard Nixon.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: And Nixon when he came into office, even the Republicans stood up against him.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: And by God.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: And this is what I think we need a larger cultural unity in order to
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: for my hope to spread and to be more than nascent.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: I do have hope because I've got children and grandchildren.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: I've got two grandkids once five years old just started and living in taxes of all places and it's just starting school.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: I want him to have
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: to look forward to a future better than ours.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: But there are kids today, you know, when you and I came up, right?
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: It was always, we're going to leave you something better.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: You could now start a family, you could own a home.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: There are kids in their twenties and thirties today that can't live out.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: So they can't afford housing.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: They get paid buckles and they're still living with their parents.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: And this is destroyed.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: Our culture and part of it is a lack of cultural identity and cohesiveness.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: When
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: when you had sligh in a family stone saying, yeah, I'm every day people.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: Man, black, white, brown, green, gay, straight, you know, purple people leaders, everybody, man, relate to that.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: And there's nothing like that on the cultural horizon today.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: So if
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: And since this is not a hopeless plug for rock and roll since I play in a band, but I would love to see that type of unity culturally because that would I think would vote well for the future of politics.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: But don't you think part of the reason there isn't something like that?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, of course, it wouldn't be the only reason, but we've got this legacy media.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's not really reporting the news accurately and they're, I meant.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: We're reporting the news at all.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: Let's be honest with you.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: We don't report news anymore.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: We promote opinions.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: It bugs me to know in.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I have an opinion.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: I had reporters work for me.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: I've run newsrooms.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: I've had reporters come out to me and I want to write a column.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: This is my opinion.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: I go, hey, you've been on the job an hour.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: How about you get like ten or twenty years experience?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I might listen to you right now.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: Go out and do the job and cover the news.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: I've had reporters come to me and go, this is what I think.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I go, I don't care what you think.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: I barely care what I think.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: What do you know?
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: Give me the facts, get it, factual information.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: That is, in truth, that one of the reasons one of the cornerstone stood them up received that I talked about earlier, less money in politics, more education, and an independent media.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't have that today.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: You have a half a dozen companies that own ninety-five percent of what you see reader here nationally.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: there is no local media anymore that forty five percent of the counties and I mean this is not me guessing this is a study I think it may deal uh... that was spearheaded by a form of all fairy from uh... the washington post who did a study that showed that forty
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: five percent of the counties and I repeat it forty five percent of the counties in the united states of america do not have a community media president press and presence there is no local media and in those counties and this is where it's important Donald Trump won ninety one percent of those counties in the last election
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: many of those by landslide.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why you need local community press.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't have it.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have support for it.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: At any level in government, local, state, or national, we have slap suits, strategic lawsuits against public participation.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: The greatest example of that is Donald Trump's suing paramount and runs.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, for something he knew he could never win in court, but because it was so expensive for them and Sherry Redstone was trying to get rid of Paramount and need a government approval to do it.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: He used it as leverage to get CBS to bend the knee down or you have to have substantial penalties for those strategic lawsuits against public participation.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: You have to break up media monopolies and you have to invest in local media.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: People say that newspapers are dead.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_01]: They're right because government killed them.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: People still value newspapers and community newspapers.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Because the simple fact is I can hold up a newspaper from eight I testifying Congress.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'll open newspaper that was published in eighteen fifty five.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: I said this is finite.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: in the court of law, in this rules, you can't hack it, you can't change it, right?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: And it exists as it existed when it was first published.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: The internet is a femoral.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody can go in and change it and you don't know what facts are.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: These are facts.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I would pull out a copy of a newspaper that went back to Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and I would read it and people would go, wow, that's
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: know that.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: And here it is printed on that day.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, you need newspapers.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: You need the press.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: You need to break up media monopolies.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: And that's I could go on that rant for a while.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and I think that that's partly why we don't see.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: you know, more in rock and roll or more.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we are seeing some rock and rollers standing up, but not, not in the way that you just described with all the songs and the poetry, really, because songs are just a poetry.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: And we're not seeing that.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you can also talk about AI and social media, rot and all of that.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I think part of it is because there's no one new source that everybody can count on.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: there isn't and that's just it's really I mean I every day I go back and forth Greg Oliar was saying this the last time he was on my show and I started during the first term like every day I just think I can't believe what's happening I can't believe what's happening and so you know what I'm trying to take the part of this
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I can too, but it's like meaning from when I was growing up, I never thought this was going to happen to our country.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_00]: I lived in Soviet Russia when I was twelve because my dad worked for ABC News and so I had the opportunity to see what it's like to live in a police state.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I never thought we were going to see it here because that's when I understood the word patriot.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like, oh, okay, I'm a patriot because this being a Soviet Union is very different than living in America.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, it's just, it's just so upsetting and I am hopeful.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: But as you mentioned, there's, there would be easier to be more hopeful if we saw better media, if we saw just different ways of, if we saw Democrats.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope that got to you soon.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: Educated.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: When I first walked into the White House press briefing room, it was in nineteen eighty five, I think it was.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: So it was forty years ago.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: first person I met was Helen Thomas she knew who I was and I was and I was nobody I mean I just but she knew everything and everyone and she walked in she introduced me to Sam Donaldson I followed them around and I learned from them now Donaldson said something to me I'll never forget I was standing there in the Brady briefing room he said Brian
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: You look at that first row in the Brady briefing room.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: That first row of reporters.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: There is more than two hundred years of experience there.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: Learn from each and every one of them.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, you know, then he looked over and said, and Helen's got a hundred and ninety five years of that.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: around and look at him and said something smart and saying hey Helen it's okay to have an unexpress thought and she said something comes to you I have a lot of unexpress thoughts and I didn't know where I was going to be the rest of my life but that moment I'll never forget it was golden but he was absolutely right yeah look
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the Brady briefing room today.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: That first row in there, not even approaching two hundred years of experience.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: Half of that, if you're lucky, there are reporters who get straight out of school, got a master's degree, a wasteful one, and if you ask me, but get okay fine.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: You want to be super educated with a master's degree fine, but you still have to learn how to work a beat.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: Do that.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know, fresh off the two two out of school and walking into the Brady briefing room.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: You can't.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: You need to have the experience to know how to get information, how to fight against people who don't give you information, how to get around them.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: You have to develop sources.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: You have to know how to do that and all of that takes experience that you don't get in a classroom and get it by on the job training.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thus, when I first got to that, you know, walked into the White House to be in the pool, to be have that hard pass, to be covering the White House every day.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: You had to have ten to fifteen years of experience.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: Don't have that.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: No, we don't have that at all.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that you have kids fresh off the two two.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: They become enamored of the fact they think they're part of the end crowd, baby.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so close to power.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: And they fully access journalism.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: I need to get my access or I can't get my stories.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're not getting any stories.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: Even if you have access, you might get a viral moment.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: You might get a, you know, a bone to toss that.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: Here you go, pal.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Melania just posed for a cover of Atlantic.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I'm giving you the tip.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: You've got the exclusive.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Daniel, that's not a story that covering the president has become a parent's versus reality.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: And people putting their names on articles that I would not want to report on.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, it's not the same.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: You have to have experience to cover one of the most powerful people on the planet.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's switch over.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to ask you about the military occupation in DC.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: So do you feel that this is in perpetuity?
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think it's kind of, it's temporary?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: Where does this go?
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: What happens now?
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: Is it just going to spread across the United States and everybody is we're going to have a big old police state?
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Donald Trump would love that.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: He said that several Democratic large cities are dystopian.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which is a croquette crap.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, he said that, you know, Washington, DC, I mean, I, the words he used to describe Washington, didn't you see, like, you know, maniacs, drug crazed lunatics, you know, gangs, robbing the streets, pal, what?
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: Mad Max movie did you see because I've been in DC late at night and even when the vampires from freaking Georgetown room the streets, it's not as dangerous as your average Friday night high school football game is in Rockville, Maryland.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, give me a break.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's a flat out lie.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: What is using it?
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: And he's using it to take control more importantly.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's be honest.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: The reason why all of this is making waves and making headlines, it keeps you from talking about the thing.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: He just doesn't want to talk about the two words that will make Donald Trump crap his pants in a heartbeat.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: And those two words are Jack Epstein.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was just going to get to that.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what it is.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, is there a danger of takeover?
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, tonight Donald Trump says he's going to take a ride along with DC police to see how bad things are.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: That was the breaking news before we started today.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: And it's hilarious to me that that he's going to take a ride along.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: I did that as a twenty three year old reporter.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: He said, if you intend to join law enforcement on the streets of Washington, DC, Thursday evening, inviting more disaster.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be out tonight.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think with the police and with the military, of course, the president told radio host Todd Starns who I've never heard of.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's official said the details of the evening are still being worked out.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the detail.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: Donald Trump walking the streets of DC, how he can barely walk the.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: So what's he going to do?
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: Sit in a Humvee garden and she's memorized the security that's going to have to be at the right now the secret service is crapping themselves trying to figure out how to protect this moron who is well for all intents and purposes a strong arm ten-pot dictator yeah I guess but the likes of the United States is never seen
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so this is the last thing that we're going to talk about.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: As far as Epstein, I'm going to just give you my opinion and then I don't, you know, we can talk about whatever follows, but.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: So everybody's calling for the release of the list.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: And my personal opinion here is I don't want them to release the list because I don't believe that it's going to be accurate.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to tell us the truth.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they might, I think there was a viral tweet or post I should say by Keith Edwards that said something like if they released the list, they're going to throw a bunch of Democrats out there, maybe a few Republicans and maybe an oligarch or two.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: And that's absolutely what I think that they would do.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't trust it at all.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, if Galane Maxwell gets a pardon and they don't release the list, I actually think it's better that way because all of the obsession about Epstein really started in the QAnon world.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_00]: And so if, like, my fear is that they release a partial bogus list and then the QAnon crowd is satisfied.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then it goes away.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I've spoken to the Q and on crowd.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: They got it.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: I want the first of all, I always err on the side of more information is better than less information.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I want it.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: But here's a couple of things to keep in mind.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, the supreme, I'm sorry.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: that the port proceedings and the stuff that came from the grand jury that won't be released.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: Trump is trying to paint that as the be all and end all.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: And as one of the judges came out and said, look, this is contrary to what you say that you want to release.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: So you're full of it.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: A and B, there's only one FBI agent on there.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: So no, I'm not releasing this stuff.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: Go to hell.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: So we've already seen that he's being disingenuous.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: But here's the thing.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: Q and on the far left, the far right, the middle, I would never have picked this issue as a unifying force in right or in politics.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_01]: Who in the right mind would have?
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is not, I mean,
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: Jeff Epstein as a unifier.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, no prognosticator would pick that.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: No matter how well you know prognostication.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, here's what I wrote.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'll back this up.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: There are extremely low number of prognosticators who can accurately predict the outcome of a WWE match, not knowing the participants or anything about the sport.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: The same can be set of political pundits and their ability to discern in advance what will unite the American electorate.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_01]: You have views of experience doing it.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: Not many of us had Jeffrey Epstein are doing that when our bingo cards, you know, the mixed metaphors while gilding the lily.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: certainly professional abundance unless they were buried in anadrawl.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I mean, battery acid would ever even picture it.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: But here we are.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is the one issue on which many Americans agree.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: And the Q and on people will not be happy with whatever is released because they will say, you didn't release it all.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: Where's the rest of it?
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: Once you're a conspiracy theorist, you're in.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that makes me feel better.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so, but look, what's funny is listening to people, the far right goes, I want all of this release because that I know Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and back in the back of a, you know, a sub shop that there were kid, kiddie porn and kiddie pedophilia, we know it was going on.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: So, that's going to release, and that's going to be there, and they're going to say, hey, you've hidden it.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the people on the left, they're going to say, look, Donald Trump was involved.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, all the Republicans were involved and whatever released, that's not going to benefit them.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: At the end of the day, they're both saying the same thing.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let the chips fall where they may release the information and let the American people know.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a good thing.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: And at the end of the day, it's also about holding people accountable.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: And this is the one issue where both of them agree that oligarchs and rich people should not get away with.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: with what?
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: Trafficking you know, and I hate when they say trafficking, you know, under age women.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: As are called children.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: Children.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's children.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: Trafficking girls.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: That pisses people off.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: Thankfully, there's something that we all agree on.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's a line in the sand that will erase.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: So God bless America for you.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and Donald Trump stepped into, this is a debacle of his own making.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's, and this is why I think he's lost his mind.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: He came out and he said that an underaged girl who worked in the spot.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, at Mara Logo was quote unquote stolen by Jeffrey Epsey and not that you got a new job.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now that she had a resume and she got better pay, but that he stole her indicating that she was nothing more than property to both men.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's a pigment and people on both sides of the political aisle recognize it for that fact.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: So no matter what their motives are for wanting it released
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: I applaud the effort to get the information released and we should hand them into the depths of hell where he should reside along with his paramour Satan.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, South Park.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: Until we get that information.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so what about, you know, Ellison Gil put out a call to those like thousand FBI people who were going over the list, right?
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: And they were like getting Donald Trump out of the list or whatever.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: So some of the stuff she said, there was like real panic going on and people were freaking out and they were feeling a lot of pressure.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: So there was like a thousand people who went through that list and that was just recently.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_00]: So prior to that,
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know what I'm talking about here.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you know more than I do and you probably do.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: But a lot of people have seen that list.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people are aware of that list.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who they are, but there are people out there who know that full list.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, what do you think the chances like if they put out a partial list?
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, don't, aren't we used to seeing whistle blowers?
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just, I mean, our people are afraid to whistle blow this?
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: What's the deal?
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: People know.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's a complicated issue.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, the DOJ has had as the judge in New York pointed out in the Glean Maxwell case.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: The government has DOJ has far more information in their possession than that judge does.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is the one FBI member testifying.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: Donald Trump never testified before a grand jury.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: So it's, that's a mood point.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: If there were prosecutable information, we have had
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: Democrat and Republican presidents who did nothing with it.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: So either they or a co hooting.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: I love that work.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: Co hooting.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the whole mind yards for introducing that in the box.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: Were you co hooting?
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we were co hooting.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: They were in colluts together or there's nothing there.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't know which it is.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: I suspect that there is some information there.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: Let's be honest, who could have prosecuted this in Florida at the time it first came up?
- 44:55[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, that would be Pan-Bondi.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: What happened to the lawyer that was in, oh yeah, he got promoted in Donald Trump's administration, you know, from being Donald Trump's personal lawyer.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: All of them have made out like a bandit.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: And let's be honest about who Pan-Bondi is.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's not
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: of consequence to me that she was bought and paid for Donald Trump and to refresh everyone's memory, she was investigating Trump University for fraud and tax evasion and right up into the point and she was going to be involved in a suit against Donald Trump, right up into the point where he
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: donated twenty five thousand dollars to her campaign reelection fund.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: And after that, she bowed out.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now, it's not surprising that she was bought by Donald Trump, but it sure is surprising to me how cheap a horse she is.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's, I mean, that's, that's, that's, that's twenty five thousand on an annual, that's more that that's not even as much as I know.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's nothing more driver for the Donald Trump administration.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: who has set back women's rights fifty years with a more onic attitude because she is stupid and she is opportunistic and she has sold what little so she had to the many of saying so i i don't know if there's anything there i suspect that there is but more importantly it's the in the window
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: There may be nothing provable there, but there sure is guilt by association.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, that Donald Trump has said that he was friends with, you know, him for, for Epstein for fifteen years.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: He clearly won the plane all of this.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: We heard him say grab him by the pussy.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: We heard him, but he walked into, you know,
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: He walked into swimsuit competitions for events that he, the teens, teen girls.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and watch teen girls get dressed.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_01]: We had Donald Trump.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: We know who and what he is.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't want anyone reminding people of that.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: And he's scared to death.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: The something will come out.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: You do not act the way Donald Trump is acting about that.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: In less you had something to hide and galane Maxwell is the lynch pin to that and today she's in low risk housing getting work release because she spoke with Donnie.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I said that was the last question, but it's kind of not because the other quick little question I have is when we were at the sexy liberal thing, you talked to my boyfriend, Bob Saska for a documentary.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I just, I know I want to hear a little bit about that and like when is it going to be released?
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the documentary we just got actually last night just finished the rough cup.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to be sweetened with music and some sound and a few video changes, but that schedule to go out in the next couple of weeks.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: Once we get it done, it'll be released.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think through mightest touch you to maybe Netflix or still working.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: That would be cool.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're trying to get there.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: It'll probably be on Amazon Prime.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: where my last one was.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: So we're trying to set it up for multiple ways of release, multiple streaming ways of releasing it.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: And Bob had one of the greatest moments in that interview.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: We interviewed everybody in the sexy liberal comedy tour and
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone had Stephanie had a great Stephanie Miller had a great moment.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: How did you say did John Fugelsang did?
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: How sparks did?
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: But the one that I like from Bob was pretty funny.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I predict the first one to be kicked out of this administration will be Elon Musk and he'll be the first one with a funny nickname and damn if he didn't mail that.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: That was a fun and interesting night.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: The thing that sucked, though, was afterward, during the meet and greet, because the inauguration was, I think, the following day, everything in DC was like shutting down and where Bob and I were parked, they were like, okay, we're gonna close this garage and we had a dash.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_00]: So we didn't have a lot of time to visit and we felt really bad.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was irritating.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: They were closing everything down and I said,
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I had the crew with me.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: So there's everything down.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: We've got two vehicles.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: Frick and three cameras.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: Crew of about half a dozen people have a dozen people in the crew plus myself and the director for the documentary.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going through trying to
- 49:45[SPEAKER_01]: get quickly everything and we couldn't get any of that neat and great afterwards because we had to help.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: So that was that was a sad part.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: No, the saddest part was the day after the actual.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_01]: It was watching people there.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: There's one guy singing.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: Trump is Santa Trump is coming to town.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 50:07[SPEAKER_01]: And he pointed it and this is in the documentary.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: He pointed it at some of the buildings.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: He says, this is Washington, D.C.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: folks, ninety percent of the people here are Democrats.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: They have no soul.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're dead inside.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: Don't even bother with them.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: Hate them.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for that Christian moment.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm sitting there interviewing a pastor and I channeled my inner John Fugelsign at that point and started asking him questions about why he thought Donald Trump was, you know, was a Christian and supported the Bible and his answers were just hilariously.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: And every time he made a point about Donald, we counter pointed with some of the stuff that, and I did, you know, I just asked him questions because I'm not going to confront a guy and I'll beat him over his ignorance.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: But in the documentary, we pointed out with video every time he said Donald Trump was a Christian, well, then we showed the E.G.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: and cared all stuff.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's not only said about he loved kids, well, then we showed the abstinence stuff.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: But everyone is getting respected women.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: Then we showed the excess Hollywood, you know, grabbing by the pussy stuff.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that to me was just an example of how blind the so-called Christians are to Donald Trump.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: And he let's face it.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: That those people of reason why he got a lot.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: One of the big reasons.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: What is do you know the name of this documentary yet?
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: Have you put a note that we were going to call Trump the first one hundred days, but I have used stuff.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: I've read headed this thing at least three or four times because every time I think Donald Trump can't do anything more ridiculous.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's just Trump to the revenge.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_00]: Awesome.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm looking forward to it.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have to let me know.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'll see it because I'll make sure you get a copy and you can see it.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: We're voting it.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: So you can write back and we'll promote that.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, definitely.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Brian.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I always love talking to you.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_00]: You're one of my favorites.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_00]: So like I ask every guest.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: Tell everybody where to find you.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: Wherever you want them to find you.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_01]: You can find me on every week on salon.com with my weekly column.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: maybe twice a week sometimes also the podcast is called just asked the question now and it's seventh year and of course the book is called free the press and it's third edition wherever fine books are sold
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: And finally, you can cast me on a sub-stack at RyanCam reporter's notebook.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: So that's my stamp in the world of media these days.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: Awesome.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then, of course, you're also on all the other social self.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's just all RyanCam.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you have Brian J. Carrum.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I know this because I'm MSW social media and I have to tag you and everything, so.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: But awesome, awesome conversation.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks again for being on and, you know, we'll talk soon.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime.
