- 1:54Speaker 3: Our goal for today's meditative prayer is mourning gratitude. So
- 1:58Speaker 3: before you start your day, take a minute to just
- 2:01Speaker 3: center yourself. Find a place and position that will allow
- 2:06Speaker 3: you to relax and to reflect. And now turn that
- 2:10Speaker 3: reflection towards God. Allow your mind to reach out to
- 2:16Speaker 3: the presence of the Lord. And prepare your mind to
- 2:20Speaker 3: be filled with His Word. This morning we'll be meditating
- 2:24Speaker 3: on Psalm 59 verse 16 from the King James Version.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Let your worship rise up to God. God, I praise you,
- 2:30Speaker 3: for you are mighty to save. I adore you, because
- 2:32Speaker 3: your mercies renew each and every morning. I praise you,
- 2:56Speaker 3: For you are my deliverer during my times of distress.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I worship you.
- 3:02Speaker 3: For you alone have power and dominion over all the earth.
- 3:06Speaker 3: And I give you my adoration. For you are in
- 3:09Speaker 3: control over everything and every circumstance. At times, let's be honest,
- 3:15Speaker 3: life can be trying and filled with troubles. Obstacles and
- 3:20Speaker 3: obligations can make you feel overwhelmed and overcome. accusations and
- 3:25Speaker 3: afflictions continuously threaten to drown you. Keeping your head above
- 3:30Speaker 3: water becomes an unendurable and unachievable task. But think for
- 3:35Speaker 3: a moment on what is making you feel feeble and faint-hearted.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Now confess those areas of weakness and weariness to the
- 3:43Speaker 3: Holy Spirit. Share with Him your helplessness and your hardships.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Tell the Lord of the storms that threaten to flood
- 3:53Speaker 3: your heart and drown your spirit. Open yourself up to
- 3:58Speaker 3: him and reach out for his refuge and reassurance. Now
- 4:04Speaker 3: consider all the times God provided you relief and rescue
- 4:09Speaker 3: and thank him for it. Thank the Lord for being
- 4:13Speaker 3: your fortress in times of need. Thank God for being
- 4:18Speaker 3: your safe harbor in the storms. Thank Him for His
- 4:22Speaker 3: power and His mercy. Give thanks to God for all
- 4:28Speaker 3: the times in the past you felt weak and found
- 4:30Speaker 3: shelter in Him. For those seasons He became your refuge
- 4:35Speaker 3: and your fortress. Thank Him for the access to safety
- 4:40Speaker 3: you will always have in Him. Never forget, God is
- 4:45Speaker 3: present and He is listening to you. Come before Him
- 4:50Speaker 3: and ask Him for the strength to survive the storm,
- 4:54Speaker 3: to give you the ability to navigate the waters of
- 4:57Speaker 3: this life. Ask God to teach you to lean on
- 5:01Speaker 3: him during times of trouble, to know that he will
- 5:05Speaker 3: never fail you, that he will never forsake you. And
- 5:09Speaker 3: ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to have faith
- 5:12Speaker 3: in God's mercy, to know that defense and deliverance can
- 5:17Speaker 3: always be found in him. Ask God to teach you
- 5:21Speaker 3: to seek him As your sanctuary and your stronghold. To
- 5:25Speaker 3: know he is a tower that will never shake or
- 5:29Speaker 3: succumb to the waves of this world. Remember, God is
- 5:34Speaker 3: your defender and your protector. He is a shield that
- 5:39Speaker 3: cannot be splintered nor shattered. God is the rock upon
- 5:43Speaker 3: which you can stand. He is a firm foundation. So
- 5:48Speaker 3: sing your praise to the Lord this morning. and allow
- 5:52Speaker 3: His power to assure you. God loves you. He wants
- 5:57Speaker 3: to bless you this morning and all others to come.
