- 0:00We are on chapter 43 of Isaiah, of the book of Isaiah, and let's
- 0:08pray first. Dear God, I know that there is
- 0:12information in this chapter that will be troublesome for a great
- 0:21number of people, not necessarily Christians though.
- 0:26And so I ask that you give the Holy Spirit that I can
- 0:32communicate what you want me to communicate in love, but the
- 0:39truth in love. I ask for this in Jesus name,
- 0:44Amen. So this talks about Israel's
- 0:48only savior, and we are in the Old Testament book, one of the
- 0:54prophets. And I believe that the Jewish
- 0:59people read and acknowledge the Old Testament and read the book
- 1:05of Isaiah. So therefore I do believe that
- 1:12when I say what I say what I've been saying really through the
- 1:15whole study of Isaiah, it seems like Jesus is everywhere.
- 1:20And that may be offensive to Jewish people, but it's in the
- 1:27scripture that they've had all along.
- 1:29But because of their ancestors rebellion against God by in a
- 1:37general way, many have been blinded.
- 1:41But if people seek God and ask God to reveal, he will reveal
- 1:48because God does have a son and His Son is our savior.
- 1:54Again, this will not only offend anyone who is Jewish, perhaps if
- 1:59you're not, if you're Jewish and you hear this and you're not
- 2:02open minded, but it will also offend anyone who is Muslim
- 2:09because again, that religion does not.
- 2:13It says that God does not have a son, and although they do
- 2:18recognize Jesus as a prophet and as a good person, they don't
- 2:22recognize him as the Son of God. But I hope that as we go through
- 2:26this chapter, you will see that this substantiates that Jesus is
- 2:34the Son of God. Jesus is the savior for all
- 2:38nations, including Muslims, when they surrender their current
- 2:43belief and turn to God, the true God, the one true God, and also
- 2:49for the Jewish people when their eyes are opened.
- 2:51And someday the Jewish people's eyes will be opened.
- 2:54I don't understand how some Jewish people can their eyes can
- 2:58be opened right now and others will not be opened.
- 3:02And I don't, I don't know why, but only God knows and it's not
- 3:07even any of my business anyway. But what because I'm reading
- 3:11this and I just really want people to know the truth and
- 3:17want people to see the truth. And to if that happens for
- 3:24people, then of course they'll be in the Kingdom of God and
- 3:26there's a reward for that. And a true Christian does not
- 3:31persecute. I know that in the past, people
- 3:35who called themselves Christians did persecute other people
- 3:39terribly. And they are not true
- 3:41Christians. And that's the bad thing.
- 3:44What the enemy can do is call themselves a Christian, but
- 3:48they're really not. So a true Christian does not
- 3:52force anyone to believe the way that they believe.
- 3:56But at the same time, a true Christian, God wants, Pete wants
- 4:02children in his Kingdom. So God wants true Christians to
- 4:07tell everyone, no matter who you are about the information that
- 4:12we have from the Bible and we even have it from the Old
- 4:15Testament. But the New Testament helps us
- 4:17understand things that are in the Old Testament.
- 4:21And that's when people don't read the New Testament or, you
- 4:25know, give it a shot, whatever. Then it's easy.
- 4:29I guess it's easy to be blinded because you only have the
- 4:32information in the Bible. So anyway, we'll get started and
- 4:37I'll go through line by line like I always do and point out
- 4:39these things where it talks about Jesus and it'll also touch
- 4:44on other religions. So this is meant only to open
- 4:49people's eyes and to ask people to critically think about what
- 4:56you hear and investigate it because it means something
- 5:01personally to if a person's in a different religion, this does
- 5:08this is very important to you that you understand this and at
- 5:12least pray to God and ask is what she's saying true or not.
- 5:18So that's that's between you and God, but I'm giving the
- 5:22information and then we will just go from there.
- 5:26So let's get started. In my study Bible, it says
- 5:31Israel's only savior. Chapter 43.
- 5:35But now this is what the Lord says, he who created you, Jacob,
- 5:40he who formed you, Israel, do not fear for I have redeemed
- 5:46you. I have summoned you by name.
- 5:48You are mine. When you pass through the
- 5:52waters, I will be with you. When you pass through the
- 5:56rivers, they will not sweep over you.
- 5:59When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.
- 6:03The flames will not set you ablaze.
- 6:07So I want to stop right there because when you walk through
- 6:11the fire, you will not be burned.
- 6:13The flames will not set you ablaze.
- 6:18Isaiah was saying this in the seven hundreds BC and then we
- 6:25find out that this is actually fulfilled in Daniel chapter 3.
- 6:31Now Isaiah is speaking to the, I guess the tribes of well really
- 6:37it would probably be the tribe of Judah because depending on
- 6:40exactly what time it was, either Assyria had already conquered
- 6:46Israel or they may not, I'm not sure.
- 6:50But Assyria conquered Israel first the 10 tribes and then
- 6:56after that Babylon conquered Judah and Benjamin, the 2
- 7:00tribes. So Isaiah was speaking around
- 7:04this time and but it was prior to the book of Daniel because
- 7:10Daniel is one of the Hebrew boys who was sent into exile to
- 7:16Babylon. So he is from Judah.
- 7:18He was sent to exile in Babylon and he is under the king
- 7:24Nebuchadnezzar. And so I want to read about that
- 7:28because this is 200 years or so later.
- 7:31This is Daniel is. So let's say that's right around
- 7:35what, 500. Let's just round these numbers
- 7:37off to, you know, just for a timeline, not for an exact date,
- 7:44but let's say that Isaiah was written or spoken about in 700
- 7:48BC about 200 years later. Daniel is in captivity in
- 7:56Babylon, which is modern day Iraq.
- 7:59And so that's 200 years later. So that would be around 500 BC,
- 8:04not ADBC. So here's what it says about
- 8:09that time. What's happening when Daniel is
- 8:11in exile? First, he was like schooled in
- 8:15there. He's basically being retrained
- 8:17to assimilate to their culture. But they don't quite assimilate
- 8:25fully. And that's where this account
- 8:28begins in Daniel chapter 3. I'm going to start at verse 4.
- 8:35Then the herald loudly proclaimed people and nations of
- 8:42every language. This is what you are commanded
- 8:45to do. As soon as you hear the sound of
- 8:48the horn, flute, zither, leer, harp, pipe, and all kinds of
- 8:54music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that
- 9:00Nebuchadnezzar has set up, that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.
- 9:06Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be
- 9:10thrown into a blazing furnace. Therefore, as soon as they heard
- 9:18the sound of the horn, flute, zither, leer, harp, and all
- 9:22kinds of music, all the nations and peoples of every language
- 9:26fell down and worshipped the image of gold that
- 9:30Nebuchadnezzar had set up. I'm going to pause here for a
- 9:33minute because when I read this, all of a sudden it, I don't know
- 9:37why, but it just brought to mind something that happens today
- 9:44over in in different nations. I mean, I'm seeing this, this
- 9:47law actually was just in the city of New York where they can
- 9:54actually, and I think it's also in Minnesota where the call to
- 9:59prayer, the Muslim call to prayer can be over put over loud
- 10:05speakers and broadcast to everyone.
- 10:08And of course, I am not Muslim, so I wasn't quite sure what that
- 10:12entailed and I never looked it up before.
- 10:14So I looked up what are the words of the Muslim called to
- 10:19prayer and I won't try to read the Arabic because I can't but
- 10:24I'll read the English part and it says God is the greatest and
- 10:29it says I bear witness that there is no God but Allah.
- 10:34So again this to me is also denying that Jesus is the son of
- 10:40God. And then it says, I bear witness
- 10:43that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
- 10:46So in Islam, they believe that Muhammad is the the, I guess the
- 10:52last prophet and that he came after Jesus.
- 10:56They don't deny that Jesus was there, but they also, I think
- 11:00believe that he is the greater 1.
- 11:02And if you ever looked into what the beliefs are, they believe
- 11:11that it, it just very clearly says God does not have a son.
- 11:16And it's, it's an outright blasphemy of Jesus.
- 11:24It's spoken about Jesus that there is no son of God.
- 11:28That's what they say. They say, oh, he's a good guy,
- 11:31but he was not the son of God. And so this says come to prayer,
- 11:36come to success. And then there is no God but
- 11:40Allah. So this is kind of like an
- 11:44outright denial of Jesus Christ. So that's the difference between
- 11:50that and Christianity, the denial that Jesus Christ is the
- 11:56Son of God. And it just when I thought about
- 12:01Nebuchadnezzar having this, you know, music sounded, I mean,
- 12:05that was like back in ancient times, what they would do, like
- 12:07all of a sudden, here it is. Here's the sound.
- 12:09You have to you're it's a call to prayer.
- 12:11It's a call to being worshipped. And they're worshipping King
- 12:15Nebuchadnezzar as if he's a God and he is from Iraq.
- 12:22So I just thought that was kind of interesting the the parallels
- 12:26that come about. And anyway, so this is
- 12:31happening. Let's go back to the book of
- 12:33Daniel. There is a law that's set out
- 12:37and of course they have all these Hebrew people that are in
- 12:40there are not Hebrew, the Jew, the Jewish people who are sent
- 12:44into exile and they worship God and and so they can't worship
- 12:52anything else. That's against the first
- 12:55commandment that Moses was given by God himself on the mount,
- 13:00Mount Sinai. And so that would go directly
- 13:05against God if they did that. So now they're in exile and
- 13:09there's a law that's coming out that says that they're going to
- 13:13get thrown into the fire if they do this.
- 13:16So therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn,
- 13:20flute, zeither, leer, harp, and all kinds of music, all the
- 13:23nations and peoples of every language fell down and worshiped
- 13:26the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
- 13:30At this time some astrologers came forward and denounced the
- 13:34Jews. They said to King
- 13:35Nebuchadnezzar, May the King live forever.
- 13:39Your Majesty has issued A decree that everyone who hears the
- 13:43sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyr, harp, pipe, and all
- 13:48kinds of music must fall down and worship the image of gold.
- 13:54Again, I want to pause for a minute because just now as I was
- 13:57reading that I remembered something about what Jesus in
- 14:03when when Jesus was in the wilderness after he was
- 14:07baptized, he was tempted by Satan and Satan told him
- 14:14multiple to told him to fall down to fall off this Cliff.
- 14:19And he was saying angels will cap will not let that you won't
- 14:23even let have a your heel bruised or something to that
- 14:26effect. I don't remember the exact
- 14:27words, but basically you can look it up.
- 14:31That's what Satan basically said to Jesus was that same thing
- 14:34like fall down and kind of fall down and worship, and Satan also
- 14:38said worship me. So it's almost like here's a
- 14:42parallel, like is Satan operating in King
- 14:48Nebuchadnezzar? Is Satan behind the other
- 14:52religions that denounce Jesus? It's a question.
- 14:57I have an opinion, but it's a question you should ask God
- 15:01about the one true God. Ask him and whoever does not
- 15:06fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace.
- 15:11But there. And you know, again, this is
- 15:13another thing that just came to mind too, is that we know
- 15:17ultimately Christians know from the word of God that ultimately
- 15:23whoever does not worship the one true God will go into the
- 15:29burning lake of sulfur. And so it's always the way the
- 15:35enemy seems to work that he takes a truth but twist it.
- 15:40So now he's using God's own words and saying that whoever
- 15:47doesn't fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing
- 15:50furnace, almost like, you know, the burning lake, a sulfur.
- 15:53It's, it's almost like just mockery of God and what was
- 15:57said. And that's what Satan would do
- 16:00what that's what the enemy would do.
- 16:03So if you think about it, I mean, he's going to mock God,
- 16:07but there are so continuing on in Daniel chapter 3 verse 12.
- 16:11But there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the
- 16:15province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who no
- 16:20attention to you, Your majesty. They neither serve your gods nor
- 16:25worship the image of gold that you had set up.
- 16:28That's another thing against the 10 commandments is not to have
- 16:31any graven images. I think that's number two or
- 16:35three. I can't remember which one it
- 16:37is, but you're not supposed to have any graven images.
- 16:40So not only that, they're asking, they're asking these
- 16:43Jews to worship other gods, worship an image that's not even
- 16:48a God. And if they don't, they're going
- 16:52to get thrown into this blazing furnace.
- 16:54So verse 13 says, furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned
- 17:00Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So these men were brought before
- 17:05the king, and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, Is it true,
- 17:09Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or
- 17:12worship the image of gold I had set up?
- 17:15Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, leer,
- 17:19harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall
- 17:23down and worship the image I have made, very good.
- 17:26But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately
- 17:30into a blazing furnace. Then what God will be able to
- 17:34rescue you from my hand? That sounds very arrogant and
- 17:38prideful, doesn't it? Like then what?
- 17:40God will be able to rescue you from my hand?
- 17:43Sounds like there's some pride there and you know that you know
- 17:48what God, you know, like a very much a mockery of the one true
- 17:51God. So this continues in verse 16,
- 17:54Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to him.
- 17:57King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before
- 18:01you in this matter. If we are thrown into the
- 18:04blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from
- 18:10it and he will deliver us from Your Majesty's hand.
- 18:15Talk about faith. These guys had they were, they
- 18:18weren't going to bow down and worship.
- 18:20They were going to keep the commandment of God, and they had
- 18:24faith and trust in God that God would deliver them and, and from
- 18:32the furnace and also from the King's hand.
- 18:35And then they said, But even if he does not, we want you to
- 18:39know, your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship
- 18:44the image of gold you have set up.
- 18:47Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and
- 18:50Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed.
- 18:53He ordered the furnace heated 7 times hotter than usual and
- 18:58commanded some of the strongest soldiers in the army to tie up
- 19:02Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. There's three of them.
- 19:05Remember that and throw them into the burning furnace.
- 19:10So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans, and
- 19:14other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace.
- 19:20The King's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the
- 19:24flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach,
- 19:31Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, firmly
- 19:35tired tide, fell into the blazing furnace.
- 19:40Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and
- 19:45asked his advisors. Weren't there three men that we
- 19:49tied up and threw into the fire? They replied.
- 19:52Certainly, Your majesty, he said.
- 19:55Look, I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and
- 20:03unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.
- 20:10So could that have been Jesus? Could he have seen Jesus looks
- 20:15like a son? Why would he say a son of the
- 20:18gods? Now he doesn't worship the one
- 20:21true God, but he sees four men and he's he's witnessing a
- 20:25miracle right now. He's seeing those three Jewish
- 20:28boys that he threw into the furnace, and then a fourth with
- 20:31him that looked like a son. Verse 26 Nebuchadnezzar then
- 20:38approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted.
- 20:40Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God,
- 20:44come out, come out, come here. So Shadrach, Meshach, and
- 20:48Abednego came out of the fire and the say trap.
- 20:52Prefects, governors, and royal advisors crowded around them.
- 20:56They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor a hair
- 21:02of their heads was singed. Their robes were not scorched
- 21:07and there was no smell of fire on them.
- 21:10Then Nebuchadnezzar said, Pray be to the God of Shadrach,
- 21:16Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his Angel and rescued his
- 21:21servants. They trusted in him and defied
- 21:25the King's command, and were willing to give up their lives
- 21:29rather than serve or worship any God except their own God.
- 21:34Therefore, I decree that the people of any nation or language
- 21:38who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and
- 21:42Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be burned into
- 21:48piles of rubble, for no other God can save in this way.
- 21:54Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the
- 21:57province of Babylon, which is modern day Iraq.
- 22:01So that is an extraordinary story of faith.
- 22:06But we know from reading scripture that God didn't do
- 22:10this just to save these three boys lives.
- 22:15He did it so that others could know Him, because God is
- 22:21merciful and compassionate and His salvation is for all
- 22:26nations. So yes, even Nebuchadnezzar, the
- 22:30king of Babylon, God is reaching him.
- 22:35And, and I do actually, when you hear read the whole story, I do
- 22:38think maybe Nebuchadnezzar came to faith at some point with God.
- 22:42And, and then I, I think maybe he accepted God.
- 22:47So it'll be interesting to see if he's in God's Kingdom
- 22:49someday. But this is, you know, a story
- 22:52where, you know, Nebuchadnezzar just grew up.
- 22:54That was what he was taught. He was in Babylon.
- 22:56This is what he understood. But then God revealed himself to
- 23:00Nebuchadnezzar and Nebuchadnezzar accepted him at
- 23:05this moment. And and so again, this is just,
- 23:12I know I kind of got a little bit off on it, but I think all
- 23:15of this really ties together and it goes back to Isaiah chapter
- 23:2030, chapter 43 that says when you walk through the fire, you
- 23:27will not be burned. The flames will not set you
- 23:30ablaze. That was written 200 years
- 23:34before this event happened, and Isaiah talked about it.
- 23:38For I am the God. I am the Lord your God, the Holy
- 23:43One of Israel, your Savior. So again, this is where God is.
- 23:50You know, Jesus is the Son of God because Jesus is the Savior
- 23:55and he talks about your savior. And it wasn't it wasn't God the
- 24:00Father who is in it talks, it says an Angel, but then it said
- 24:05that he looked like the son of a God.
- 24:08So, you know, it could have been an Angel.
- 24:11It could have been it could have been Jesus.
- 24:13Because there are a few times where like the Angel that
- 24:16appeared in the burning Bush does say that I am he or I am
- 24:22something to the effect that the Angel in the burning Bush when
- 24:25Isaac would was going to sacrifice or when Abraham was
- 24:30going to sacrifice his son Isaac.
- 24:33The Angel that appeared, it was either a messenger, but it just
- 24:37like from what is said, it really sounds like it was Jesus.
- 24:41Because we know that Jesus was eternal and eternally the Son of
- 24:45God. But then he was, he came, he was
- 24:48with God from the beginning and then it was God manifested where
- 24:55God became man when he was born here on earth.
- 24:59So he was always with God, but then he became like in spirit,
- 25:04but then he became man as the Son of God.
- 25:09So and again Jesus came to earth around 5:00 or so.
- 25:16BC is what some scholars believe.
- 25:19And then he died on the cross around 30, give or take a few
- 25:24years. 30AD so those is timeline is really important to know like
- 25:30what came first and and especially when you're talking
- 25:33and comparing about religions and beliefs.
- 25:36So it was Jesus was here on earth.
- 25:40He did these he did all the things he talked about the Bible
- 25:43like this Bible is the last book of the Bible was written in 90
- 25:48AD. So let's go back to Isaiah
- 25:52chapter 43. It says I give Egypt for your
- 25:57ransom, Cush and Siba in your steed, since you are precious
- 26:03and I honored and honored in my sight and because I love you, I
- 26:08will give people in exchange for you nations in exchange for your
- 26:13life. So this I don't have an answer
- 26:17on, but I did highlight it and I did think like, did God actually
- 26:22trade? Now God is just and all the
- 26:27people that he created, he he loves and he wants in his
- 26:32Kingdom. But even though he created
- 26:35people, we still have free will that we can either accept him or
- 26:39love him back. And we love him back when we're
- 26:42obedient to him. So we either are obedient to
- 26:47him, are disobedient to him, and that shows whether we love him
- 26:52or we don't love him. And so perhaps God traded the
- 26:59Israelites for people who were disobedient to God who didn't
- 27:06obey him. And I don't like I said, I don't
- 27:09have the answer, but it I thought it was really
- 27:11interesting that he's, you know, he traded over we know Egypt had
- 27:16many different gods and worshipped many things.
- 27:19And there's some speculation that Egypt may have had, you
- 27:24know, fallen angels give them knowledge.
- 27:26It's really interesting if you read the Book of Enoch, it talks
- 27:30about these watchers who were assigned to certain areas and
- 27:34they came to earth and taught mankind things they weren't
- 27:38supposed to teach, like even like eye makeup.
- 27:41And let's see some other oh gosh, there's like astrology.
- 27:46There is, I think plant grafting something like all the all those
- 27:52things and maybe some kind of like almost like genetic or, you
- 27:57know, like, I don't know, making things, you know, combining
- 28:04things. They a lot of the technology and
- 28:08things. So and then you look at the
- 28:10pyramids. That is the great mystery.
- 28:12Well, maybe with their technology, these were fallen
- 28:15angels that actually helped the mankind in that time to build
- 28:19these things. And then all the other things
- 28:22that are it's kind of like the fruit of the spirit, like So
- 28:27what does Egypt reflect? Egypt reflects the things that
- 28:31God said are that's in the Book of Enoch that the angels were
- 28:38not supposed to teach mankind, but in rebellion to God because
- 28:42he gave the angels free will also in rebellion to God, they
- 28:47went ahead and and taught it anyway to mankind because they
- 28:51had their own plans. They had their own scheme about
- 28:54things. So because Egypt reflects that,
- 28:58those specific things that are talked about in the Book of
- 29:01Enoch, then I think, you know, perhaps they made that choice.
- 29:06The people of Egypt had that choice and we know some of the
- 29:10people, the great people of the Bible came from these different
- 29:16lands. So it's not generalizing and
- 29:18saying every person in that land, but it's there just some
- 29:22people. And maybe there's just a
- 29:23majority of people. Maybe these people had
- 29:26interactions with other beings and they were like, you know, we
- 29:28don't want the true God. We we like these gods because
- 29:31these gods give us wealth or they do things for us.
- 29:34And you know, so they kind of sell their soul to the enemy of
- 29:37God. And and so maybe that's why God,
- 29:41you know, they made the choice to do that.
- 29:43So God uses people's free will for his purpose.
- 29:47So maybe he said, OK, I'll trade you enemy.
- 29:50You can have that and I'll take Israel.
- 29:54I don't know, but it seems to allude to that in this chat, in
- 29:57this sentence. For since you are precious and
- 30:00honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people
- 30:03in exchange for you nations, in exchange for your life.
- 30:09Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
- 30:11I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the
- 30:15West. I will say to the north give
- 30:18them up and to the South do not hold them back.
- 30:21So if you think about logistically where all these
- 30:25countries are today and where they, you know, that's the way
- 30:29we can understand it. But you think about Israel, I
- 30:31will bring your children from the east.
- 30:33That's Jordan. I will gather you from the West.
- 30:37Well, God actually gave them the Israelites to the sea, but they
- 30:42don't really have that land. So Gaza is there.
- 30:44So on their W would be Gaza, I will say to the north, give them
- 30:48up. Could that be like Syria or
- 30:50Turkey, and to the South, do not hold them back.
- 30:53Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the
- 30:56earth. Everyone who is called by my
- 30:58name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.
- 31:04So you know, is that is that Egypt there?
- 31:08Would they be to the South or is it Saudi Arabia?
- 31:11You know, I don't, I don't know. But they're surrounded by
- 31:15countries that don't hold the same beliefs for sure.
- 31:19So lead out those who have eyes but are blind.
- 31:24So I think it's like, to me, what I understand this as is
- 31:28people that are blinded by the enemy.
- 31:31So I don't fault anyone for what they believe.
- 31:33In fact, there was a period of time in my life, a majority of
- 31:37my life, where I had the knowledge of Jesus, of Father,
- 31:42Son and Holy Spirit. But it didn't, it wasn't really
- 31:45reflected in my life, not to the capacity that it is today.
- 31:51And I didn't have a changed life.
- 31:53I, you know, maybe had some guilt and I would ask for
- 31:57forgiveness, but that, you know, didn't seem like I really
- 32:00changed. And so I just me, like everybody
- 32:06else is a Sinner until we actually our eyes are opened.
- 32:11And it didn't happen for me until I read the Bible.
- 32:15And that was in 2019. So it wasn't all that long ago.
- 32:18So I'm not saying that I am any better than anyone else.
- 32:21I'm saying I was the same as I was similar to others who may,
- 32:27you know, have been taught a certain way.
- 32:29And maybe you have the knowledge and maybe you don't, but once
- 32:33you get the knowledge, what do you do with it?
- 32:36That's the important part. And again, remember that God
- 32:39created all people. He wants all people in his
- 32:43Kingdom. But it's up to us, each person,
- 32:46no matter what religion you grew up in, it's up to us.
- 32:49Do we seek Him? Are we seeking Him?
- 32:51If we seek Him, he says he will be found.
- 32:54And I believe the word of God. I believe that he says that he
- 32:57means it. And so if you did grow up in
- 33:01another religion, seek God because God will reveal himself
- 33:06to you if you are sincere about seeking.
- 33:10The other thing that I want to talk about with other religions
- 33:13is something that is here's a fact and specifically regarding
- 33:21Muslim religions or Islam, because this is what's
- 33:27concerning to me because when I started seeking God, I did look
- 33:32into not to change my beliefs, but I wanted to understand what
- 33:36do other religions believe? And so I, and I noticed that
- 33:41there were some similarities of things.
- 33:43So then I was like, huh, I wonder what, you know, like I
- 33:45wanted to dig in really deep and figure out like, how did this
- 33:49come about? Where did it come from?
- 33:52Why are there different versions?
- 33:54Like which one, you know, where did it, which one's older?
- 33:57Which one came around 1st? And so I, I asked all those
- 34:01questions or searched that information and I got my
- 34:04answers. So the last book of the Bible
- 34:07was written in 90 AD. And then there's a book called
- 34:13Galatians chapter one that was written by Paul.
- 34:18Now Paul had a very interesting story because Paul's original
- 34:22name was Saul until he physically had an, A vision from
- 34:26Jesus, an encounter with Jesus that made him blind.
- 34:31And then he, he, it had such an impact on him that he wrote many
- 34:36of the books of the Bible. His life was changed when God,
- 34:40when Jesus was revealed to him as the Son of God because he,
- 34:45Jesus appeared to him and said, why are you persecuting me?
- 34:48Because Paul was a Jew and he was killing Christians.
- 34:53So it's not very different than Islamic people who are beheading
- 34:57Christians, kind of the same thing.
- 35:00And Paul wrote a lot of the books of the Bible and God used,
- 35:05well, he was Saul, he changed his name to Paul.
- 35:08God changed it. And then God used him to make
- 35:15disciples, make other people learn about Jesus, learn about
- 35:20the Kingdom of God. So if you think you, you know,
- 35:24have done something, I mean, there are, I think there's
- 35:26actually one of the, one of the terrorist sons is actually has
- 35:33converted from Islam to Christianity so it God can reach
- 35:38anybody. This is not meant to bash
- 35:44anyone. This is meant to enlighten or
- 35:47open up people's eyes. I don't want people's eyes to be
- 35:50blinded. I want people to know these
- 35:54things. So the the point I'm making
- 35:58about when things were written, so Paul, I just gave a
- 36:02background of his story because I wanted people to know like
- 36:05this is a Jewish man who was killing Christians and God used
- 36:10them in a big way in the Bible and brought many to belief
- 36:14through him. And continually today teaches
- 36:18many Christians how to live lives because Christians who
- 36:21call themselves Christians don't even live like what Paul says.
- 36:25So anyway, God can use people who had a bad past and he
- 36:30forgets it. No, he forgets them too, forgets
- 36:32their past. That'll come up later in this
- 36:35chapter 43 as well. So that's really rewarding.
- 36:39OK, so Paul wrote the book of Galatians around in the 40 to 50
- 36:46beasts AD time frame. So 40 or 50.
- 36:50OK, no, wait, that's not right. I I was looking at when
- 36:57Galatians was written. OK, I guess that's right.
- 37:03Yeah, OK, that's right. Because Jesus died around 30 AD.
- 37:07So Paul was, his books were written about, you know, maybe
- 37:1118 years after Jesus died, somewhere around there, 1518.
- 37:15I don't know what year exactly 'cause there's a range usually
- 37:18given, but not too many years, 10 to 15 years after Jesus died.
- 37:24Paul wrote this and here's this is so important.
- 37:28Galatians chapter 1 written by Paul, he says, I am astonished
- 37:34that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you
- 37:38to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different
- 37:42gospel, which is really no gospel at all.
- 37:46Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion.
- 37:49And who is Satan? The author of confusion right
- 37:53going back to scripture and are trying to pervert the gospel of
- 37:57Christ. But even if we or an Angel from
- 38:02heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preach to
- 38:07you, let them be under God's curse.
- 38:12OK, this is really, really important.
- 38:15Galatians chapter one, verse 8. But even if we or an Angel from
- 38:20heaven should preach a gospel other than the one the one we
- 38:25preach to you, let them be under God's curse.
- 38:28This was written in 40 to 50 AD. Do you know where the Quran came
- 38:37from? It came from Muhammad, from
- 38:41revelations, from an Angel. And in those revelations from an
- 38:46Angel, it says God does not have a son.
- 38:50And we know as a Christian that Jesus is our savior.
- 38:56The Son of God is our savior. What he did on the cross is what
- 39:01enables us to get into God's Kingdom.
- 39:05So is that that is the enemy right there changing a story and
- 39:12Paul even warned about it. He said even if we or an Angel
- 39:16from heaven should to different a different gospel, let them be
- 39:20under God's curse. Well, that's exactly what
- 39:23Muhammad did. He preached a different gospel.
- 39:27He changed what what people were you know had already in the
- 39:32Bible. The last book of the Bible was
- 39:34written in 90 AD Muhammad came around in like 60637AD like 500
- 39:42plus years later he's coming up with a new revelation from the
- 39:46quote Angel Gabriel. Now we have to remember that in
- 39:50Scripture it tells us that Satan can appear or masquerade as an
- 39:55Angel of light. So the enemy is really good with
- 40:03deceiving people and the enemy like deceives other people.
- 40:08I mean, there's a lot that the enemy can do, so.
- 40:12But not a lot when it compares to the power of God.
- 40:15So nothing to be fearful of if you have a good relationship
- 40:19with God. So and then he says, Paul says
- 40:23and verse 9, as we have already said.
- 40:26So now I say it again, if anybody is preaching to you a
- 40:30gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under
- 40:33God's curse. Then he says, am I now trying to
- 40:39win the approval of human beings or of God, or am I trying to
- 40:44please people? If I were still trying to please
- 40:47people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
- 40:51So that's why these things are tough to hear sometimes, but
- 40:55they're the truth and they need to be spoken in love.
- 40:59And that's what I'm hoping is being conveyed with what I'm
- 41:02saying. It's out of love of your future
- 41:06if you are Jewish or Muslim, that you do have a savior who
- 41:13died on the cross for you once. And God the Father wants you to
- 41:18be in his Kingdom. And he sent Jesus his Son to
- 41:24earth to let people know about the Kingdom of God and to die on
- 41:30the cross, to break the curse of death that Satan held, said that
- 41:36Satan had the keys to death until Jesus broke the curse on
- 41:40the cross. So I want people to know that,
- 41:47all right? And you know, it's like lead out
- 41:48those whose eyes, who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but
- 41:54are deaf. All the nations gather together
- 41:57and the peoples assemble. Which of their gods foretold
- 42:00this and proclaim to us the former things?
- 42:05Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were
- 42:08right, so that others may hear and say it is true.
- 42:12You are my witnesses, declares the Lord and my servant, whom I
- 42:16have chosen, so that you may know and believe me, and
- 42:20understand that I am He. OK.
- 42:24This is the second time that Isaiah is talking about Jesus.
- 42:30So Jesus, he said, oh gosh, there's so many different times.
- 42:37I looked up. I am he.
- 42:39And it occurs 751 times in 186 verses in the New International
- 42:45Version, including 26 exact phrases.
- 42:50So I'm not going to read all of these phrases, but I'm going to
- 42:54try to pick out the ones that are relevant.
- 42:57So, you know, God is saying that and my servant whom I have
- 43:04chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I
- 43:09am he God. God and He are one.
- 43:15They are connected. I mean, let me read that again.
- 43:18You are my witnesses, declares the Lord and my servant, whom I
- 43:23have chosen so that you may know he wants to be known and believe
- 43:29me and understand that I am he. Do you think that was kind of a
- 43:36mystery to them? Like what your servant you're
- 43:40you're him. You're the servant, you know,
- 43:43and I mean, but there there is revelation in here and Jesus
- 43:49actually says this. So yeah, in I think that was the
- 43:58verse. We just well, there's another
- 44:01one that says it further on in this chapter.
- 44:03It says yes. And from ancient days, I am he
- 44:08no one can deliver out of my hand when I act who can reverse
- 44:13it? And then God also says, I even I
- 44:19am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake
- 44:24and remembers your sins no more. Just like Paul who killed
- 44:28Christians, people who believed in Jesus, he blotted out Paul's
- 44:34sins and remembers his sins no more.
- 44:37Paul became a new actually it was Saul.
- 44:40That's why he has a new name. He became a new creation, one
- 44:44that honors Jesus, that respects Jesus, that recognizes Jesus as
- 44:49the Son of God, as the Messiah, as our Savior.
- 44:57And in throughout Isaiah, he says, listen to me, Jacob, whom
- 45:01I have called, I am he, I am the 1st and I am the last.
- 45:08And Jesus says this in the Book of Revelation.
- 45:14I'm going to have to see if I have that.
- 45:16Yes. OK, so in the Book of
- 45:17Revelation, this is this is 3 times that it said in Revelation
- 45:21one verse 17, Revelation chapter 2, verse 8 and Revelation 22
- 45:27verse 13. It's interesting.
- 45:29It's stated at the beginning Book of Revelation and the last
- 45:32Book of Revelation. So I'm going to read those
- 45:35verses. And this is what in the Book of
- 45:38Revelation, the disciple John has been exiled onto the island
- 45:44of Patmos, and he has a vision. And this is what John says.
- 45:50When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.
- 45:54Then he placed his right hand on me and said, do not be afraid.
- 46:00I am the 1st and the last and then it goes on.
- 46:06But that's just what Isaiah said about the about what God said
- 46:10the Father Revelation 2, verse 8 to the Angel of the Church of
- 46:15Smyrna write. These are the words of him who
- 46:18is the 1st and the last who died and came to life again.
- 46:26That's Jesus. And then in Revelation 22, verse
- 46:3113, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the 1st and the last, the
- 46:37beginning and the end. And I want to read a little bit
- 46:39further because it it maybe, yes, I do.
- 46:46Blessed are those who watch the robes so that they may have the
- 46:50right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into
- 46:54the city. This is the new city.
- 46:57So who washed the robes? That's repentance.
- 47:00A changed life become a new creation.
- 47:03And that they may have the right to the tree of life.
- 47:05Eternal life is what he's talking about.
- 47:08Outside are the dogs. Not literal dogs, but those
- 47:12were, I think they were like a a word that was used for like
- 47:15sexually immoral prostitute people back in that time.
- 47:19Those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the
- 47:24murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and
- 47:28practicals falsehood. I, Jesus, have sent my Angel to
- 47:34give you this testimony for the churches.
- 47:37I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright morning
- 47:42star. So this is Jesus talking to
- 47:46John, the Spirit and the bride. Say come, and let the one who
- 47:51hears say, come, Let the one who is thirsty.
- 47:54We'll talk about that later. Come and let the one who wishes
- 47:58to take the free gift of the water of life.
- 48:02This is eternal life. This is drinking from the well
- 48:06that Jesus provides. We're going to talk about that
- 48:08too. I warn everyone who hears the
- 48:12words of this prophecy of the scroll.
- 48:14If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the
- 48:20plagues described in the scroll. And if anyone takes away, anyone
- 48:26takes words away from the scroll of prophecy, God will take away
- 48:31from that person any share in the tree of life and in the holy
- 48:35city which are described in this scroll.
- 48:38He who testifies these things says, yes, I am coming soon,
- 48:45Amen. Come Lord Jesus, the grace of
- 48:49the Lord Jesus be with God's people, Amen.
- 48:54So again it's I am he and then Jesus said many will come in my
- 49:01name claiming quote I am he and will deceive many.
- 49:06We're going to have a false Messiah come up in the last days
- 49:12and Jesus also said he replied, watch out that you are not
- 49:15deceived for many will come in my name claiming I am he and
- 49:20quote the time is near. Do not follow them.
- 49:26And then in John chapter 4, Jesus declared I the one
- 49:30speaking to you, I am he. This is when he's talking to the
- 49:35woman at the well. So I want to read that part of
- 49:37it too. What happens with this woman in
- 49:40the well, this is in John chapter 4.
- 49:43Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was
- 49:46gaining and baptizing more disciples than John, although in
- 49:51fact it was not Jesus baptized but his disciples.
- 49:55So he left Judea, and he went back once more to Galilee.
- 49:59Now he had to go through Samaria, so he came to a town in
- 50:04Samaria called Saikar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given
- 50:09to his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there, and
- 50:13Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well.
- 50:18It was about noon when a Samaritan woman came to draw
- 50:22water. Jesus said to her, Will you give
- 50:24me a drink? His disciples had gone into the
- 50:27town to buy food. The Samaritan woman said to him,
- 50:31You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman.
- 50:35How can you ask me for a drink? For Jews do not associate with
- 50:39Samaritans. Jesus answered her.
- 50:41If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a
- 50:48drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you
- 50:53living water. Sir, the woman said.
- 50:56You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep.
- 50:59Where can you get this living water?
- 51:02Are you greater than our father Jacob who gave us the well and
- 51:06drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock?
- 51:10Jesus answered, Everyone who drinks this water will be
- 51:14thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them
- 51:19will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them
- 51:23will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal
- 51:30life. The woman said to him, Sir, give
- 51:33me this water so I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming
- 51:36here to draw water. He told her, Go call your
- 51:40husband and come back. I have no husband, she replied.
- 51:44Jesus said to her, you are right when you say you have no
- 51:47husband. The fact is you've had five
- 51:49husbands and the man you now have is not your husband.
- 51:53What you have just said is quite true, Sir, The woman said, I can
- 51:58see that you are a prophet. Our ancestors worshipped on this
- 52:03mountain, but you Jews claim the place where we must worship is
- 52:08Jerusalem is in Jerusalem. Woman, Jesus replied, Believe
- 52:12me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither
- 52:17on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
- 52:21You Samaritans worship what you do not know.
- 52:25We worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
- 52:31He's talking about himself here. Yet a time is coming and and has
- 52:37now come, when true worshippers will worship the Father in the
- 52:42Spirit, Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshippers
- 52:46the Father seeks. God is Spirit and his
- 52:51worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
- 52:57The woman said, I know that Messiah called Christ is coming.
- 53:03When he comes, he will explain everything to us.
- 53:06Then Jesus declared, I the one speaking to you, I am he.
- 53:16So Messiah means Christ and that is Jesus.
- 53:19He was revealing himself to the woman at the wall.
- 53:24So I thought that was kind of interesting where again he's the
- 53:27Son of God and see that let's continue on.
- 53:36So we are on verse 10. We were reading and I don't know
- 53:42that I finished it before me. No God was formed, nor will
- 53:47there be 1 after me. So there's only one God, God the
- 53:51Father. I, I even, I am the Lord and
- 53:57apart from me there is no Savior.
- 54:02So nobody can save. We can't save ourselves.
- 54:05The reason Jesus can is because he is from God, from the Spirit
- 54:10of God. Like the Spirit of God.
- 54:12The Holy Spirit made, gosh, made Mary, his mother give birth.
- 54:22So it was the Spirit of God and God chose Mary to be the mother
- 54:30of God here on earth to send his Son.
- 54:32And he sent. So he is a descendant from God
- 54:35the Father. And God delivered him by his own
- 54:38hand, by his own arm, by you know, him, his his own child,
- 54:44Son of God. And that is that is he is our
- 54:48Savior, Savior Jesus is our Savior.
- 54:52I have revealed and saved and proclaimed I and not some
- 54:55foreign God among you. You are my witnesses, declares
- 54:58the Lord that I am God. Yes, and from ancient days I am
- 55:07he. No one can deliver out of my
- 55:11hand when I act who can reverse it.
- 55:13So ancient days that kind of made me think about something
- 55:18else that I heard, and that's from the book of actually the
- 55:23Book of Revelation and the book of Daniel.
- 55:28So I want to read those again. So first let's go to Daniel
- 55:32because he comes a little bit after Isaiah, and we'll go to
- 55:35Chapter 7 and we'll read verses 913 and 22 from this chapter.
- 55:41So verse 9. Here's what Daniel sees As I
- 55:45looked, Thrones were set in place and the Ancient of Days
- 55:50took his seat. His clothing was as white as
- 55:54snow. The hair of his head was white
- 55:58like wool. His throne was flaming with
- 56:02fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.
- 56:07I'm going to read in verse 13. In my vision at night I looked,
- 56:12and there before me was one like a son, like a son of man.
- 56:19That means that it says the Aramaic phrase bar in Nash means
- 56:25human being. The phrase son of man is
- 56:28retained here because of its use in the New Testament as a title
- 56:31of Jesus, probably based largely on this verse.
- 56:35So it's like a human being, like the son of a human being.
- 56:38So this is this is God coming with the clouds of heaven.
- 56:43That's the way Jesus said he's going to return, coming on the
- 56:45clouds. So coming with the clouds of
- 56:48heaven, He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into
- 56:52his presence. Then we have verse 22.
- 56:59It talks about this power that was that.
- 57:03Well, 21 talks about this power, powerful being that is waging
- 57:08war in the end times against the holy people and defeating them.
- 57:13It says until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced
- 57:19judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the
- 57:24time came when they possessed the Kingdom.
- 57:27So here we have the Ancient of Days again being tied to Jesus
- 57:33and the coming on the clouds because that's talks about.
- 57:36That's how Jesus comes on the clouds.
- 57:39Then in the Book of Revelation, the same description of the
- 57:42Ancient of Days. Listen to what it says here.
- 57:47Remember the description of the Ancient of Days.
- 57:49I'll read it one more time from Daniel verse 9, I think it was.
- 57:57Yeah, his. So his clothing was white as
- 58:00snow, the hair on his head was white like wool, his throne was
- 58:04flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.
- 58:07Then in the Book of Revelation, this is who John sees.
- 58:12The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and
- 58:17his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze
- 58:23glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of
- 58:27rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven
- 58:31stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp double edged
- 58:35sword. His face was like the sun
- 58:39shining in all its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell at the
- 58:43feet, at his feet as though dead.
- 58:46Then he placed his right hand on me and said, do not be afraid.
- 58:51I am the 1st and the last. I am the living one.
- 58:56I was dead. Jesus died on the cross, and now
- 59:00look, I am alive forever and ever.
- 59:04Jesus rose from the dead and I hold the keys of death and
- 59:09Hades. So when Jesus died on the cross,
- 59:12he broke the curse of death that Satan had.
- 59:17He held the the keys to death or something and Jesus took that
- 59:22when he broke the curse, right? Therefore, what you have seen,
- 59:26what is now and what will take place later, the mystery of the
- 59:32seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the 7 golden
- 59:36lampstands is this. The seven stars are the angels
- 59:40or messengers of the seven churches, and the seven
- 59:44lampstands are the seven churches.
- 59:47And he's referring to churches in Turkey.
- 59:50But we won't go through all of that anyway, tying it back to
- 59:57Isaiah chapter 43 verse 13. Yes, and from ancient days I am
- 1:00:02he. So again, this is tying Jesus to
- 1:00:05the ancient of days and as our savior.
- 1:00:09So in Isaiah the prophet Isaiah, he says three times relating God
- 1:00:18and Jesus. So in verse 3 is the first time
- 1:00:22that I noticed and then in verse 10 is the second time that I
- 1:00:26noticed. And then in verse 11 is the next
- 1:00:32time that God and Jesus are kind of tied together.
- 1:00:36And you know that God always uses two or three witnesses to
- 1:00:39establish truth. OK, actually there's more now.
- 1:00:44So I guess the the 4th 1 would be verse 13 and then the fifth
- 1:00:49one would be verse 15. So there's a lot in here.
- 1:00:56This is what the Lord says, your Redeemer, the Holy One of
- 1:01:00Israel. Now we know Jesus descended from
- 1:01:03the tribe of Judah, so he, the holy One of Israel, that's Jesus
- 1:01:10the Messiah. For your sake I will send to
- 1:01:14Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians in
- 1:01:19the ships in which they took pride.
- 1:01:22Now remember he's saying this before they are captured by the
- 1:01:26Babylonians, and he's talking about their future.
- 1:01:30I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel's Creator, your king.
- 1:01:36This is what the Lord says, He who made a way through the sea,
- 1:01:40a path through the mighty waters.
- 1:01:42Remember how Moses parted the Red Sea, who drew out the
- 1:01:45Chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together and
- 1:01:49they lay there, lay there never to rise again.
- 1:01:53That was all of Pharaoh's Chariots that you know they
- 1:01:57couldn't make it through this when God pulled part the sea so
- 1:02:02that the Israelites could pass through there extinguished,
- 1:02:09snuffed out like a Wick. Forget the former things.
- 1:02:13Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing like
- 1:02:19a new creation and you know Jesus will be the Savior in the
- 1:02:23future for what Isaiah is talking about now it springs up.
- 1:02:28You do not perceive it. I am making a way in the
- 1:02:33wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
- 1:02:37So that's a, you know, poetic way of saying, remember that
- 1:02:41Jesus said I am the way, the truth, the life and no one comes
- 1:02:44to the Father except through me. So this is saying I am making a
- 1:02:48way in the wilderness. The wilderness is like where
- 1:02:51people are kind of lost, just like Moses in the desert for in
- 1:02:56the wilderness for, you know, 40 years or 40 days.
- 1:03:00I forgot how long it 40 years I think it was.
- 1:03:03The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls because I
- 1:03:07provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland to
- 1:03:12give drink to my people, my chosen.
- 1:03:16So when we just read about Jesus being at the with the woman at
- 1:03:21the well, this is like this is another reference to Jesus
- 1:03:25because it says to give drink to my people, my chosen.
- 1:03:29Jesus says he will give them, remember that He will give them
- 1:03:33the drink, the everlasting drink of eternal life.
- 1:03:36The people I formed for myself, that they may proclaim my
- 1:03:40praise. So anyone who knows they are a
- 1:03:43child of God, they're going to proclaim his praise and then
- 1:03:45they know that Jesus did this for them.
- 1:03:48Don't you think everybody who knows that's really happy about
- 1:03:51that, that we're going to be living with God.
- 1:03:53There's going to be no more mourning, normal or crying.
- 1:03:56No more tears. No more.
- 1:03:59There will be peace. It will.
- 1:04:02Only the righteous will be there.
- 1:04:03We're not. We won't have to worry about
- 1:04:06anything because it'll all be good in God's Kingdom.
- 1:04:12You have not called on me, Jacob.
- 1:04:15You have not wearied yourself for me, Israel.
- 1:04:18You have not brought me sheep for burnt offerings, not honored
- 1:04:22me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with
- 1:04:25grain offerings, nor wearied you with demands for incense.
- 1:04:29You have not brought any fragrant calamus for me or
- 1:04:33lavished on me the fat of your sacrifices, but you have
- 1:04:37burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your offenses.
- 1:04:43I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own
- 1:04:52sake and remembers your sin no more.
- 1:04:56So God is so gracious and merciful and loving.
- 1:05:01Even though we don't do anything for God, when we turn to Him, He
- 1:05:06blots out our sins and remembers them no more.
- 1:05:10When we receive the Holy Spirit from God, we become a new
- 1:05:14creation, and the Holy Spirit helped us to be obedient to God.
- 1:05:18The Holy Spirit gives us courage.
- 1:05:21Why do you think that some people who have the Holy Spirit
- 1:05:24can deal with with death so easily, can forgive people who
- 1:05:28have maybe murdered their families, who can get through
- 1:05:35the death of a loved one because they know the promise of a
- 1:05:39reunite, being reunited with their loved one.
- 1:05:43These are all people who have the Holy Spirit.
- 1:05:46They don't see it right now, but in the future they will have it
- 1:05:50and they rest on that and they have peace about it.
- 1:05:53And I say they, but I believe this as well.
- 1:05:56Like I don't have the fears I used to have.
- 1:06:00It says like in the world, there's two great fears. 1 is
- 1:06:04public speaking and the other is death.
- 1:06:07Well, I don't fear either of those anymore.
- 1:06:10And it's not because of me, because I was very fearful of
- 1:06:13that, that it's because of the Holy Spirit working in me.
- 1:06:17And there is a change when you allow, because God gives us free
- 1:06:22will. So we can reject the Holy Spirit
- 1:06:25or we can say, yes, God do your will.
- 1:06:28I may not see these things as all good and see them as rules,
- 1:06:32but now I look at like the 10 commandments, they're
- 1:06:35guardrails, they're protection for us.
- 1:06:38Before I used to look at them as like, oh, rules are, you know,
- 1:06:41limiting behavior or something like that.
- 1:06:44But the more that you read in the Bible, you start, you do
- 1:06:50become changed, you become a new creation and it is necessary.
- 1:06:56Jesus said Jesus said this as recorded in John chapter 3 when
- 1:07:02he talks to Nicodemus, he says that we must be born again, born
- 1:07:06of the Spirit and that that is how we enter the Kingdom of God.
- 1:07:11And so this is another thing I really think I need to read this
- 1:07:15to actually, I'll finish this chapter and then I will talk
- 1:07:18about a little bit more, review the past for me.
- 1:07:21Let us argue the matter together.
- 1:07:23State the case for your innocence.
- 1:07:25Your first father sinned. Those I sent to teach you
- 1:07:29rebelled against me. Think about Saul and Paul, you
- 1:07:32know, like nobody's perfect. So don't compare yourself to
- 1:07:36anybody in the Bible. Or if you do, you're going to
- 1:07:39see that Jesus had someone who is a prostitute in his ancestry.
- 1:07:44I mean, this is for all people. All people are sinners.
- 1:07:48It's a matter of what we do do once we have the knowledge of
- 1:07:50God, once we turn to God, are we going to change our ways?
- 1:07:54Are we willing to abide by God's laws?
- 1:07:57Are we willing to say not my will, but your will, God, I want
- 1:08:03to do what you want me to do. And if we are, and we ask for
- 1:08:08the Holy Spirit, that's all we need for salvation because Jesus
- 1:08:11did everything else that's needed.
- 1:08:15So I disgrace the dignitaries of your temple.
- 1:08:17I consign Jacob to destruction and Israel to scorn.
- 1:08:22So there are consequences of our sinful actions that we may have
- 1:08:26to go through and but we will have the courage and the power
- 1:08:31through the Holy Spirit. And we also just should remember
- 1:08:35that those are temporary trials and keep our eyes focused on the
- 1:08:40ultimate reward, which is living with God in eternity.
- 1:08:46And so I want to read something about being born again.
- 1:08:49I know I talk about it a lot, but it's something that really,
- 1:08:54you know, made an impact on me. And and this would apply to
- 1:08:58people who are Jewish that should really know this as well.
- 1:09:04John chapter 3. Now there was a Pharisee, a man
- 1:09:08named Nicodemus, who was a member of the Jewish ruling
- 1:09:11council. He came to Jesus at night and
- 1:09:15said, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from
- 1:09:18God, for no one could perform the signs you were doing if God
- 1:09:22were not with him. Jesus replied Very truly, I tell
- 1:09:26you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born
- 1:09:30again. How can someone be born again
- 1:09:34when they are old? Nicodemus asked.
- 1:09:37Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's
- 1:09:40womb to be born? Jesus answered Very truly.
- 1:09:43I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are
- 1:09:49born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but
- 1:09:56the Spirit gives birth to Spirit.
- 1:09:59You should not be surprised at my saying you must be born
- 1:10:03again. The wind blows wherever it
- 1:10:06pleases. You hear it sound, but you
- 1:10:08cannot tell where it comes from or where it's going.
- 1:10:11So it is with everyone born of the Spirit, Mariel's teacher
- 1:10:16said. Jesus, do you not understand
- 1:10:17these things very truly? I tell you, we speak of what we
- 1:10:21know and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people
- 1:10:25do not accept our testimony. I have spoken to you of earthly
- 1:10:29things and you do not believe. How then will you believe if I
- 1:10:33speak of heavenly things? No one has ever gone into heaven
- 1:10:37except the one who came from heaven, the Son of Man, which is
- 1:10:42Jesus. Now, just as Moses, this is
- 1:10:46important. Just as Moses lifted up the
- 1:10:49snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up.
- 1:10:55Jesus died on the cross, and just as that, everyone who
- 1:11:00believes may have eternal life in him.
- 1:11:05So when Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, people
- 1:11:08looked to that bronze snake and they were healed after they had
- 1:11:13been bitten by the snake. And so Jesus is tying that
- 1:11:17moment together at this point as well for the Jewish people so
- 1:11:21that they understand the Son of Man.
- 1:11:23Jesus must be lifted up. He must be on a cross, on a
- 1:11:26pole, just like the snake was on a pole.
- 1:11:30Jesus was on the pole, and everyone who believes may have
- 1:11:35eternal life in him. Then he says, For God so loved
- 1:11:40the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
- 1:11:46believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
- 1:11:52For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the
- 1:11:55world, but to save the world through Him.
- 1:11:59Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not
- 1:12:03believe stands condemned already because they have not believed
- 1:12:07in the name of God's one and only Son.
- 1:12:12This is the verdict. Light has come into the world,
- 1:12:15but people loved darkness instead of light because their
- 1:12:19deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the
- 1:12:23light and will not come into the light for the fear that their
- 1:12:27deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth
- 1:12:32and comes into the light so that it may be seen plainly that they
- 1:12:37have done, they have done, that what they have done has been
- 1:12:44done in the sight of God. We don't have anything to hide
- 1:12:48from God. God knows everything.
- 1:12:50Just come clean with it, present it to God, ask for forgiveness,
- 1:12:54ask for the Holy Spirit and become born again.
- 1:12:57Believe in Jesus, and that's as simple as it gets.
- 1:13:00And I think with that, I'm just going to wrap up this chapter
- 1:13:03because it's been a long one again.
- 1:13:05But I hope this was beneficial to you.
- 1:13:08And if it was, or if you have anyone that comes to mind when
- 1:13:11you listen to it that would benefit from this, please share
- 1:13:15this because it's so important that everyone's eyes are opened
- 1:13:18to the truth.
